A New Dueling Harmony
Let's go for the new chapter of a New Dueling Harmony where this chapter will be the first to have no duels in it as we will prepare or the future duel against Byakuya Togami that will be in the next chapter.
Preparations for a duel to remember
At her apartment, Maizono was taking a quick shower after she finished her recording with her group, Sweet Orchard, she expected afterwards to go in her bed and then, she will sleep for the night.
She finally finished her shower and she then dressed herself in a yellow pajama with white streaks coursing through the sides of her pajamas, she was about to go to bed when suddenly, she heard knocks on her door which surprised her as it was about close to midnight.
"I wonder who that could be?" thought the Ultimate Idol to herself as she goes towards her door and she opened it, when she finally gets a look at her visitors, she was surprised to see Neagi who was helping Aaron holding a unconscious Glenn Marek "Neagi?"
"Maizono-san, I'm very sorry to bother you so late in the night but we need some help, he was facing Byakuya Togami in a duel and he defeated him so brutally that he lost counecisous" explained the Ultimate Lucky Student.
"Sure, help yourself" said Maizono as the two men brought the young man into the apartment and they laid him out on the sofa so that he could rest, the Ultimate Idol begins to prepare some coffee so that he could recover quickly.
But when they managed to put him on the sofa, Glenn finally begins to open his eyes which brought a smile on Aaron's face as he was happy that his friend was alright.
"Aaron?" asked the young man.
"Glenn, you're okay, Jesus, you scared the shit out of me!" said the red coated man.
"Good, then that means that I'm eligible to do horrors movies" sarcastely dried Glenn which let out a chuckle rom his friend.
"Well, I guess that's means that you have recovered buddy, take some rest, we'll leave after you feel good enough to walk" said Aaron as Maizono brought some coffee to the young man.
"Perhaps I can help by serving some coffee misters?" politely asked the Ultimate Idol.
"Well, I won't deny that, thanks miss" said Glenn as he took a cup from her and Aaron also accept a coffee from her, the young girl then goes up to Neagi as she wants to give him a cup of coffee.
"Do you want some coffee too Neagi?" politely asked the Ultimate Idol.
"Sure" said Neagi as he grabbed a cup from her, however, Maizono had a question from the group.
"Now, tell me something Neagi, why did you bring these two guys in my apartment? And what about that story of Togami having challenged that guy to a duel?"
But when Neagi was about to reply, Glenn rose up from the sofa and he approached the young idol in order to talk to her.
"Don't Neagi, I think it should be more appropriate that I will explain what's happening to her" said the young man.
And then Glenn starts explaining to Maizono about their current status, the at that his father was sold to the Black Market by Togami's predecessor, his mother suicide, the fact that he wanted to expose the full list of the Togami Corporation victims, his kidnapping at the hands of Byakuya Togami and his duel, his story took on about almost half a hour but his story severely shocked Maizono as the young girl was mortified of the details.
"That's so horrible, I can't believe that the Togami Corporation would stoop up so low in order to be above all else, these methods are awful" said the Ultimate Idol.
"Yeah and the problem is that we can't expose them without being badly seen by the public as the company has still a lot of fans across Neo Tokyo City, Glenn already tried that approach and he was kicked out of the building" said Aaron.
"You didn't need to remind me of that" said Glenn who flinched at the thought of remembering of how he was expelled rom the company.
"But there has to be a way to stop him right?" asked Maizono, as Glenn was about to answer, Neagi decided to speak.
"I think I know what we need to do".
"What do you suggest Neagi?" asked the red coated man.
"Maybe what I am planning to do will not change anything but seeing Togami beating Glenn so badly makes me sick, he treats people like if they were nothing and he uses Duel Monsters to make sure that his detractors won't have any chance to strike back, so, if I can beat him at his own game, maybe he will understand that people are not something that he could play with" explained the Ultimate Lucky Student to which his statement left everyone speechless, the young boy was ready to challenge Togami in a duel?
"You've got guts kid, I faced Togami in a duel and he defeated me with a monster that doesn't look like any kind of monster we've saw before in the game, it was like a demon, a demon that is unstoppable, it managed to pass every barrier that I've put against Togami like if they were nothing, I don't know if you could beat him, you're still ready to go there?" asked Glenn.
"Yes, I'm not dueling him only for teaching him that Duel Monsters is not a game that you could use to torment people with but I'm also doing it for you Glenn, so that your father might rest peacefully out there" explained Neagi as his comment caused Glenn to smile, happy that he has found someone that he could relied on.
"Thank you, I appreciate what you are doing for me and I like your way of thinking" said the young man before something popped on his mind "then it's settled, I will make sure that you could duel Togami, normally, you can't challenge him like that as this bastard will ignore you but I've got some contacts that can help me on how to get him so that we could prepare your duel against him".
"How would you do that?" asked Neagi.
"First, we need a reporter who could give us valuable tips on Togami's schedule, we've got a friend here: Nikei Yoimuri, the Ultimate Reporter, who can help us with it, then we need a photographer who can take pictures of your duel against Togami" said Glenn as the fact he mentioned a photographer seems to ring a bell for Maizono.
"A photographer? Then you need to contact Mahiru Koizumi, she's the Ultimate Photographer, she helped us sometimes to promote our concert thanks to her photographs" said the Ultimate Idol.
"Then we will contact her tomorrow morning, and last and the most important, we need to get someone who can influence the media and usually, it's a risky road to take because we need someone who is affiliated with the local Mafia" finished the young man.
"The local Mafia?" wondered Neagi before he react a second later, he knows that, in Japan, there is one kind of a group that can influence the media "Wait, you're talking about recruiting Fuyuhiko Kuzuryuu, the Ultimate Yakuza?"
"That's right, the Yakuza controls most of the medias in Japan right? So we just need to convince the Ultimate one at that and it will be settled, Togami can no longer escape to justice" said Glenn.
"Yeah but the problem is that Fuyuhiko will never agree to help you, I saw him before, he seems to be the kind of person who is more willing to work alone and not for someone" warned Neagi.
"Don't worry, we will find something that will convince him to join us, after all, our friend Nikei will help us find it, right Aaron?" asked the young man.
"Sure" chimed Aaron.

At the Kuzuryuu clan hideout, Fuyuhiko received a visit from one of his henchman as he made him a report from their status.
"So far, the other clans seem to be calm, there is no sign of an attack on our clan, so it's peaceful" explained the henchman.
"Good, these motherfuckers seems to know they should not trifle with us if they value their lives" calmly said the Ultimate Yakuza.
"Also, there is…"
But the Yakuza didn't have the time to finish his tales as another Yakuza has been pushed out to the door by someone on the other side which surprised Fuyuhiko, the henchman and Peko, who was standing at the Ultimate Yakuza side as she drew a sword to prepare to fight the intruders who attacked the Yakuza who was severely beaten down and who has also lost a tooth.
"B-boss" weakly said the henchman before someone stomp his face with his foot, the two intruders finally entered the Ultimate Yakuza office and they were no other than Glenn and Aaron who were both dressed in a white oat and they have opened their tops to reveal their six-packs chest, Glenn was also holding a red bag with him.
"Hey there, buddy, how are you doing?" nonchantely asked Glenn.
"Who the fuck allowed you to enter in my godamned office?" asked Fuyuhiko before he looked at the corridor where the two men came rom and noticed with shock that most of his henchmen were beaten down by Glenn and Aaron "well, at least, it seems that you two knows how to fight but did you actually think that you can come in here and beat down my own clan without suffering the consequences?"
"Calm down buddy, we're not here to fight" said Glenn as both the Ultimate Yakuza and Swordswoman noticed that two other persons managed to enter in the office and much to their surprise, it was Neagi and Maizono (Maizono asked if she could come with them to see Fuyuhiko, although Neagi, at first, refused as he fears that the Ultimate Yakuza could attack her, the other two agrees to her demand as she was too much involved in their plan which cause the Ultimate Lucky Student to surrender).
"Neagi, what the hell are you doing here? Are you in leagues with these two assholes?" asked Fuyuhiko.
"Listen, I can explain Fuyuhiko, I didn't know that Glenn would beat up your clan so that we could talk to you" said Neagi but the Ultimate Yakuza cut him off.
"Say no more, it's more about these two that I plan to kill them off, if you two try to lay a finger on me, you and your loved ones will be tracked by the clan and they will slaughter you all till the last one remaining, you should leave right now" warned the Ultimate Yakuza.
"I've said calm down, Yakuza boy, I've said that we are not here to fight, I have a proposition for you" said the young man to which his statement caused Fuyuhiko to be curious.
"What kind of half-assed proposal?" asked the Ultimate Yakuza.
"Neagi's here plans to duel against Togami and I've planned to reveal some secrets from him namely, the entire list of all the people that his company has sold to the Black Market but to achieve that goal, I need your help, I've heard that your clan has their hands down in the medias right?" asked Glenn.
"We did so what about it?" asked Fuyuhiko.
"I would like you to give that list to the media once Neagi will win his duel so that everyone will see Togami as a loser, a murderer and a backstabber" replied Glenn but the Ultimate Yakuza begins to scoff.
"I don't give a shit about the Togami Corporation, it's your fuckin problem, so you deal with it yourself" said Fuyuhiko but this only cause Glenn to let out a small laugh.
"I knew it that you would not cooperate that easily so, I've brought something that may change your mind, a valuable trinket, worthy of 100 billion Yen" said Glenn.
"My clan loyalty is not for sale, you prick, you cannot buy us with your money, I can obtain that amount in my sleep if I want" defended the Ultimate Yakuza.
"You misunderstand buddy, we've said that it is a valuable trinket that is worth of 100 billion Yen, look closely" said Aaron as Glenn took something from his red bag which was a photograph showing a naked baby Fuyuhiko laying down on a table laughing jolly.
"NOW, that is worth 100 billion Yen!" replied Glenn as the Ultimate Yakuza let out a very horrified scream while he let out a huge blush covering his face to which if he would be in a cartoon, his ears would have let out a burst of smoke coming out of it.
Aaron decides to take the picture from Glenn's hand and shows it to Neagi and Maizono, the Ultimate Lucky Student was surprised by the sight of it as he recognized Fuyuhiko in the photo while Maizono was trying to hold down a scandalous laughter as she looked in the picture but eventually, she gives it up and she starts to let out a burst of laughter to which the red coated man followed suit.
"We knew that you wouldn't agree to help us so we had to contact someone who knows you well, that person allowed us to have that picture so I kept it just in case and I'll admit it, you were pretty strong for a baby of your age" joked the young man while Fuyuhiko tried to keep a straight face despite shaking from having seen one of his most embarrassing moments that he has did in his life as Peko tried to reassure him by massaging his shoulder to calm him down.
"Y-you two think that you could intimidate me with a picture?" asked the Ultimate Yakuza.
"Well, you probably knows about Nikei Yoimuri right? The Ultimate Reporter? Well, he is a friend of us and he started to write an article about you" said Glenn as these words shocks Fuyuhiko as he knows that his reputation might take a severe hit if that picture should be published.
"And that picture will be shown in all the newspapers around the country, I can even see the opening titles: 'before becoming the Ultimate Yakuza, Fuyuhiko Kuzuryuu used to be this cute, beautiful looking baby'!" explained Aaron as Maizono was still behind him, continuing her laughing fit while Neagi tries to listen to their conversation.
"Now, make your choice friend, either you kill us and your reputation will crumble" started the young man as Aaron continued his sentence.
"Or you will help us and we will pretend that this picture never existed" concluded the red coated man, Fuyuhiko started to tremble with fury, he wanted to kill these two bastard for humiliating him but he had his hands tied up, if he killed them, his title of Ultimate Yakuza will be tarnished forever and his clan will lose all credit in Neo Tokyo City, having no choice, he begins to ask for the picture.
"Hand over that picture!" ordered the Ultimate Yakuza but the two friends starts laughing at him.
"No way!"
"HAND IT OVER GODAMMIT, I WOULD DO EVERYTHING THAT YOU WANT FOR, I WILL WARN THE TELEVISION CHANNELS, THE RADIO STATIONS, EVEN THE FUCKING GOVERNMENT IF I CAN, JUST HAND OVER THAT PICTURE" raged Fuyuhiko as he didn't want that picture to be published in a journal while he put himself in a Dogebeza stance in order to convince the two young men to not publish the photo, Glenn sighed as he let out a small satisfied smile.
"Okay, okay, you win Ultimate Yak, we'll tell Nikei that we cancel the article and that we will focus on our new plan" said Glenn to which his statement surprised the Ultimate Yakuza who didn't expect that his pleading will succeed.
"Wait, you agree?" asked Fuyuhiko.
"But first" replied the young man to which it caught the Ultimate Yakuza off-guard "we would like you to take a shit in front of us".
That comment caused the two men to laugh silently while Fuyuhiko had his jaw dropped, he has his hands tied down! If he refuse to drop a turd in front of them, they will publish the photograph, he couldn't believe it, he, the Ultimate Yakuza, is forced to shit on the ground like a stupid fool or a four year old kid.
"NO WAY!" internally yelled the Ultimate Yakuza.
The next few minutes, a picture was taken showing Fuyuhiko having laid o a big turd (to which he was shown angrily crying in it) on the ground while Aaron let out a big smile while Glenn teasefuly closed his nose while smiling at the camera, that picture caused Neagi to feel sorry for the Yakuza while the two men and Maizono laughed to their heart's content.

Meanwhile…
Hajime and Chiaki were strolling in the streets as the Ultimate Gamer decided to leave Hajime rest from their dueling classes and to take him at the arcade, the young girl wanted Hjime to relax so that they could enjoy each other company.
"So what kind of games did you plan to show me today Chiaki?" asked Hajime.
"Mainly the games that I love for, Galaga, Tekken, every kind of arcade games where you could become a champion if you work hard in it" explained the Ultimate Gamer.
"Well, I guess that I can become one already since you are a wonderful teacher Chiaki" said Hajime to which his compliment caused a small blush on Chiaki's face, indeed, ever since he asked Chiaki to teach him how to duel, his skills have increased exponentially sine he has now managed to defeat numerous opponents at the Dynamite Games Club almost single-handily thanks to the Ultimate Gamer's teachings and now, since he is going to play some video games with her, he may actually become a better pro at gaming himself although he still believes that Chiaki will outclass him at games.
"Well, it might be because you're a great student yourself Hajime" thanked the Ultimate Gamer as the two were getting closer to the arcade, Hajime noticed something at the side of the street that piqued his interest: a Black Mercedes was parked in front of a multi-tenant building where a short blond man wearing a black suit with a tie and with blush marks on his cheeks came out of the building with a woman much taller than him who has sliver white hair and glasses that cover her vivid red eyes who were about to go to the car, Hajime took a closer look at the two persons and he seems to recognize the man.
"Wait, is that Fuyuhiko Kuzuryuu?" wondered Hajime which his sentence surprised Chiaki who decided to take a look at the car and she also recognized the Ultimate Yakuza.
"Yeah, that's him" said the Ultimate Gamer as the two noticed that a tall girl with a long blonde hair and with permanent blush cheeks just like Fuyuhiko came out of the building in order to talk to him, Hajime widened his eyes as he recognized the young girl.
"Natsumi?"
At the scene, Natsumi was laughing about something where the Ultimate Yakuza got pissed off and he embarked on his car with Peko following suit, the Mercedes eventually let with the blonde girl waving goodbye at them but when she was about to go back, she noticed Hajime and Chiaki looking back at her and a mischievous smile appeared at her face, Hajime noticed that the young girl was looking at them and he begins to feel himself uneasy.
"Great" cursed the young boy to which his statement caught Chiaki's attention.
"What's wrong?" asked the Ultimate Gamer.
"C-chiaki, maybe we should go to the arcade? I-it's just that I'm getting really impatient to try these games already" bashfully stated Hajime to which the Ultimate Gamer was confused of his plight, however, the two didn't noticed that Natsumi was approaching them and she eventually caught up to them.
"Well, well, what do we have here? If it isn't mister little dick Hajime Hinata himself" commented Natsumi.
"Hi Natsumi" said the young boy under his breath to which the Ultimate Gamer was curious about one thing.
"You know her Hajime?" asked Chiaki.
"Yeah, I know her, we were" hesitated Hajime before he resume his speech to which Natsumi chimed in it as well.
"Coworkers/dating" Hajime and Natsumi said at the same time which cause Hajime to let out a sigh as he expected that Natsumi would ruin his sentence.
"Nevermind" gave up the young man however Chiaki understood why Hajime was embarrassed to see the blonde girl in front of them.
"You were dating? Something happened between the two of you?" asked the Ultimate Gamer.
"Yeah, we could say that" Hajime said as he wanted to avoid talking about his former relationship with Natsumi.
"We've met about three years ago, I've found him quite easy on the eyes so we've set ourselves a date with each other, we did enjoy each other's company during that date and I've wanted to make him see my brother, Fuyuhiko Kuzuryuu" explained Natsumi to which a part of her sentence surprised the young Gamer.
"Fuyuhiko Kuzuryuu is your brother?"
"Yup, he is my good ol nothing big brother and I'm damn proud to be part of the Kuzuryuu family" boasted the blonde girl but when she realized she drifted far away from her tale, she resumed her story "anyway, I've made him see my brother and when he decided to test Hajime to see if he was worthy enough to inherit the clan, he punched him to the face".
"He punched you?" asked Chiaki to Hajime as she was shocked that the Ultimate Yakuza attacked the young boy.
"Yeah, he punched me and I have punched him back, it finished up as a fistfight" said Hajime.
"Yeah but he willingly did that so that he could know if you were strong enough to protect me in the future" responded Natsumi.
"I'm sorry but I agree with Hajime, your brother didn't need to get himself in a fight with Hajime!" replied the Ultimate Gamer.
"And since he got his ass kicked by my brother, I've dumped him because I saw him as a weak dipshit" responded the blonde girl to which her sentence began to upset Hajime who decided to cut off the conversation.
"Now that's enough, tell me where your brother is heading otherwise, we're leaving" threatened the young boy.
"Oh, so that's what was in your mind when you saw me" said Natsumi as she let out a sigh, she was used to that people would only see her because she was the Ultimate Yakuza's sister "he said that he wanted to see the news reports stations because he wants to broadcast a duel that will occur at New Tokyo City pier tonight".
"A duel at the pier? Who's dueling who?" asked Hajime.
"A certain boy named Neagi plans to challenge Byakuya Togami at the pier tonight at 8.00 AM" said the blonde girl to which her sentence surprised the Ultimate Gamer.
"Wait! That Neagi is going to duel Byakuya Togami? The Canadian dueling champion?" asked Chiaki.
"The one and the same" replied Natsumi.
"Wait, so not only the guy is the leader of the Togami Corporation but he is also the Canadian dueling champion?" asked the young boy.
"Yeah, I've heard that he was considered as one of the Top 5 best duelists in the world, if Neagi plans to challenge in a duel, that's means that he will duel a champion, this is a duel that has to be seen Hajime, after we will finish our time at the Arcade, we should jump at the pier so that we will see that duel" excitedly said the Ultimate Gamer to which her excitement caught the young boy off-guard.
"Wow, you are really getting into it Chiaki but yeah, we can see that duel tonight because I need something to erase my memory of what is happening right now" said Hajime as Natsumi began to leave while letting out a condensiding hum "and I'll take it that you will not watch this duel Natsumi?"
"No, I'm not into that stupid game like my brother so I'll just stay at the estate" said the blonde girl as she began to leave but before she could leave the scene entirely, she turned herself to Chiaki to warn her "one more thing, mauve thingy, don't let your tongue stick his dick, with this loser, you might get a virus coming from his micro penis".
"IT'S NOT LIKE THAT NATSUMI!" raged Hajime as the blonde girl leaves while cackling to herself, after the two watched the young girl leave the scene, the young boy, who started to sport a small blush of embarrassment on his face turned to the Ultimate Gamer "I'm sorry, she always liked to make a scene in front of everyone".
"It's okay Hajime, I don't mind, it's your personal matter, I don't need to involve myself in it" said Chiaki.
"You're right, well, how about we go at that Arcade? If we stay here too much longer, we might not get the chance to play some games am I right?" asked Hajime.
"You're right Hajime" said the Ultimate Gamer as the two get themselves inside of the Arcade as they planned to play as many games as possible before they will head out to the pier in order to watch Neagi's duel against Togami.

Meanwhile, back at Neagi's home.
The Ultimate Lucky Student was preparing his deck in order to ace Togami in a duel later in the evening but he needed to be ready, if his deck wouldn't have been well prepared, he would have huge troubles against the Ultimate Heir as if Glenn's story was true then Togami has a card that is so powerful than a well prepared strategy was not enough to defeat the Ultimate Heir, he will need every card that he has on his deck in order to win his duel.
Suddenly, after he finished adjusting his deck, his bedroom door opened up and his friends Leon and Hagakure entered into the room.
"Hey Neagi!" greeted the Ultimate Baseball Player.
"Hey guys!" replied the Ultimate Lucky Student.
"Dude, it is true?" asked Leon.
"Is what true?" asked Neagi.
"That you plan to challenge Byakuya Togami in a duel all that because he beat the shit out of Glenn's Marek?" asked the Ultimate Baseball Player.
"Huh? Who told you th…" Neagi was about to ask but then he saw that Maizono popped up in the room as she wanted to see the Ultimate Lucky Student "oh, hi Maizono-San".
"Dude, you're really going to duel him? I heard he was like a pro duelist in Duel Monsters, he could beat the shit out of you man" warned Leon.
"I know that but I can't back down now, Glenn said that he has planned everything so that I could face Togami and I can't go back on my promise, at least, I thought that I could give it a try to help Glenn through my dueling" explained Neagi to which his friends begins to give up trying to argue with the Ultimate Lucky Student.
"You've always being too kind to others Neagi" said Leon.
"Yeah, I know" replied Neagi.
"But now that I think of it Leon-chi, if Neagi-chi will win this duel, he would become popular and I would be" begin to explain Hagakure before he stops on his tracks as he was about to say that he will become rich only to forget about his friends "I mean, he would become rich!"
"I'm not doing this or fame or money Hagakure, I'm just doing this because I feel that I need to do what is right, Togami has no right to brutalize people through Duel Monsters, I want to show him that Duel Monsters is a game destined to have fun, not to use it in order to crush his enemies" said Neagi but he noticed that Maizono was still worried about him and he decided to talk to her "Maizono-san, I'm sorry that I dragged you into this".
"It's okay Neagi, I don't mind but…" hesitantly said the young idol to which it brought some concern to Neagi, however, Leon decide to nod at Hagakure to leave them alone as he felt that Maizono needed to confess something at Neagi and that she needs to do it by herself, the clairvoyant leaves the room as he is followed by the Ultimate Baseball Player.
"What is it?" asked Neagi as he didn't notice that his two friends leaves the room.
"I'm worried about you Neagi, I'm not doubting about your abilities as a duelist but, what if Togami will injure or even worse, will put you in a hospital bed or kill you with this 'ultimate card' have you considered this Neagi? I don't want you to be hurt against this guy" said Maizono as she tried to fight back tears of fear as she was heavily worried that the Ultimate Lucky Student will be severely beaten up by the Ultimate Heir, the young boy approached the young idol and he puts his hands on her shoulders in order to calm her down.

"Maizono-san, I understand that you are worried about me but I have to do it, if I back this down, Togami may hurt someone else with this card" explained Neagi before he decided to proceed with his explanation "you know i0 there will be a crisis going on, I need to do my part, how can I look Glenn in the eye if I don't it? It's my own hoie that will bring me into this duel, I won't run scared and hide under the bed, I want to do my part to put an end to the atrocities that Togami and his family has done to the numerous families that fell victim from it".
Maizono was baffled of how much the Ultimate Lucky Student was ready to enter into the duel that may either endanger or will change the face of dueling and maybe o the world forever, with a smile, she begins to wrap her hands around the back of Neagi's head "then I will support you Neagi, whatever will happen tonight, I will cheer for you and I know that you will win this duel, just promise me that, in the end, you'll still be here after your duel".
"I promise Maizono-san" said Neagi as he put a reassuring hand on her back and after a few seconds, they move back their heads in order to look at each other with a loving gaze, after a few moments, the two leaned in and they started to kiss on their lips in a sweet and tender manner.
It was a beautiful moment that they won't forget before an eventual duel.

Annnnd done, and yes, I've made Neagi and Maizono kiss each other because I'm more of a fan of Neagi/Maizono ship although I know that some won't be happy about my decision namely the Neagi/Kirigiri shipper.
Anyway, next time, Neagi will finally face Togami in a duel and it will be the first major duel against an antagonist in a New Harmony Dueling.
