Chapter 7 – Tracking

Far away in another world The mighty lord Beerus was sitting on his lawn chair watching the two sayiens going toe to toe in the sky, while he ate some delicious treats he and Whis had collected from earth.

'Whis… you better not be eating all of those cakes! Remember It was my suggestion we bring them back with us!' Beerus frowned

'Of course not my lord, but I must say they are simply a delicacy to admire and taste. The delicious sweetness of the sponge and not to mention the perfectly moist texture of the buttercream! Oh I can just fly away to heaven'

'Well just remember to leave them here if you do! As I don't know that they are delicious' Beerus said as one of the sayiens crashed to the floor shaking his head

'Man…. That was a good punch' Goku wiped the blood from his lip looking up at the prince of all sayiens

'What's wrong Kakarott? Grown tired?'

'Of fighting you? no chance' Goku smirked and powered to super sayien and went to launch an attack until he stopped in mid-air, confusing the prince

'Why did you stop clown?' he asked

'I'm picking up something… like…. A high increase in power levels' he said as Vegeta also sensed it

'Where's it coming from?' he asked. Goku looked down at the ground and noticed Whis and Beerus, he flew down to them

'Whis, can you show us back on earth really quick?' he asked as Whis looked confused

'You wish to return so soon? Well I'll be darned'

'No no but I just wanna check something' Goku answered as Whis looked on curiously

'Oh alright' he said and lifted his staff and looked inside and noticed something strange

'huh…..well it seems someone is defiantly trying to get your attention' Whis showed the staff to The sayiens as they noticed Gohan in his super sayien form powering up to his full potential, alongside Krillin, Tien, Trunks and Goten

'They're all powering up?' Goku said

'What are they doing?'

'They're trying to catch my attention. And It worked. I can use my instant transmission to get up back to earth'

'Then get on with it! Let's see what these morons have to worry about' Vegeta grabbed Goku's shoulder as they disappeared, leaving Whis and Beerus to it

'Well, at least we have some peace and quiet now'

'Indeed. But unfortunately we are out of those delicious treats' Whis sighed

'Wait we had 3 left where did they…WHIS!' Beerus yelled

'Oh hohoho my bad my lord!' he chuckled

…..

Goku and Vegeta arrived back on earth and were greeted by their sons and friends

'Dad your back!' Goten cheered

'What's going on, why were you guys powering up?' Goku asked as Gohan looked nervous

'Dad, we think something has happened to Mom and the others!' he said

'Others?' Vegeta frowned

'Bulma, 18 and Launch' Krillin answered. Goku looked to everyone and he could see the worry in their eyes

'Well what happened? Where are they?' Goku asked

'They said they were going to this place on the iguana islands, and left a few days ago, but we've heard nothing from them, and the hotel has no information on their stay. I've tried to call mom but its going straight to voice mail' Gohan said as he showed Goku the phone. 12 calls and 8 text messages all from Gohan, but she hadn't answered any back. That wasn't like his wife.

'And why would they go to this place?' Vegeta asked

'Bulma said she was invited'

'By who?'

'A guy called Doctor M.T' Tien answered

'Never heard of him' Vegeta frowned

'Me either. But look let me see if I can sense your mother out' Goku closed his eyes and concentrated on his wife's Ki but for some reason, it blocked him from doing so! Like there was force field between reaching her mind and his! This didn't feel good! Goku opened his eyes and frowned

'No one hears from them for days, and now I can't sense her ki! What would that tell you?' Goku looked to Vegeta who then tried to locate Bulma to talk to her. But that was to no avail either, something or someone was blocking him from speaking to his wife and that was a big mistake!

'Nothing!' Vegeta huffed

'So something has happened!' Gohan panicked

'Well if Goku and Vegeta can't sense them, and no one can sense 18's, how on earth are we gonna find them!' Krillin asked

'Did Bulma tell anyone about this trip! Like anything about the guy!?' Tien asked, he had a strange feeling about the man in question

'Ummmm…. I know she got and invitation' Trunks answered as they all turned to him

'Where is it boy?' Vegeta asked

'Back at the house, in her lab, I'll show you' Trunks said as they all took off to capsule corp. Goku was lost in thought! How could someone be blocking out his wife's energy! Who would dare! He felt weak and vulnerable without truly knowing if she was safe! It was not a safe place to be! They all reached capsule corp and headed to the lab and came across the invitation on the table

'Right here' Trunks pointed as Vegeta check it out

'Hmmm…. An banquet in Your honour at the Sands Hotel & spa on the Iguana islands, signed Doctor M.T' Vegeta read as he looked at it suspiciously 'And did she know who this was?'

'She said she wasn't sure, I think she was more excited to be honoured' Trunks admitted

'Tch! Of course she did!'

'That doesn't matter! We need to try and figure out how they would have gotten there!'

'I know they went in one of the capsule corp cars' Trunks said

'Did your mother say what route she would take?' Vegeta asked

'No'

'There's a map here!' Goten pointed to the map on the table as everyone gather around 'It looks like Bulma drew one out to understand the route she'd have to take to get to where she needed to be, It looks like the doctor told her this way was better'

'As if that isn't suspicious enough' Tien huffed

'So its all down to him then! He invited them, he shows them the way and no they disappear into thin air, this Doctor M.T must be the one responsible for them being missing!'

'Where does the map say they were heading?' Gohan asked

The team flew over an hour until they reached the canyon and started searching the from the sky for anything suspicious. Vegeta remained silent, he was also trying to reach out to Bulma but to no avail. How was this possible? Not that he'd say it out loud, he was afraid for Bulma, how could he not be? She was his wife, the mother of his children! And if any harm came to her, he would make the person responsible pay. However, he hadn't left things on good terms before he left to train with Goku. And some things were said that he wished he hadn't said. It was one of the reasons he was pushing so hard on Goku, taking out his frustrations on him, not that Goku would ever mind, he just wanted a good fight.

'GUYS! Over Here!' Krillin yelled as they all headed down to same crevice that stopped the girls in their tracks.

'Huh, this crater is new. It's still warm' Gohan felt the crater's temperature

'Hey over there look!' Tien pointed to the abandoned car! They flew over and searched around the area but to no avail!

'Are we sure this is their car? It Could be anyone's' Krillin suggested

'It's theirs' Vegeta huffed seeing the capsule corp log on the side

'Well then Where are they!?' Goku grew frustrated! What had happened to Chichi!?

'All their stuff is still here, so they didn't abandon the car.'

'The tyre's been shot at!' Gohan pointed out as he found the bullet

'Why would anyone shoot at them?' Vegeta wondered

'Hey guys, there's something stuck to the chair' Krillin saw a knife stabbed through the driver's chair and also a note attached to the end. He pulled it out and read the letter aloud

'What does it say?'

'You made it this far without sensing energy, We are impressed!

Now its time to put your detective skills to the test!

You found the car, Now find your friends & wives.

But you better hurry, or they will pay with their lives

'So are we dealing with a fool who thinks this is child's play!?' Vegeta roared. He hated being toyed with someone so childish but the fact they had confirmed his wife's disappearance made him more angry. Goku looked at the letter and really thought about who could possibly had done this, they mentioned his name and Tien's he looked to his friend who was deep in thought

'Tien?' he asked

'Goku…. Whoever this is… it knows me. And you, and they have Launch! And the others! If anything happens to her…'

'It won't! we will find them! We just need to figure out where to go next' Goku suggested as Tien nodded. Traitor Tien? Who would think of him as a traitor? Tien knew he was no saint, he had made mistakes in his past, hurt many people. But he made up for a lot of them, helped people and saved lives. He and Chiaoutzu had redeemed themselves he hoped. He then thought of Launch, how blessed he was to be given an angel from heaven itself. At least that's how he saw her, and she was strong, he loved both her sides as much as the other! And he vowed he would always be at her side. To love and support her. The point was he was a good person now. So would think of him as a…? he then felt something in the air. a very faint sense of ki… one he had not sensed in a few years! It was familiar…and evil!...No! No it couldn't be! Could it?

'Kakarott, what's next?' Vegeta asked as Goku sighed and tried to think really hard on where or what or who would have done this? And why not to him, why bring his wife into this?! She did no harm to anyone! He hated it! The fact that he couldn't sense her was driving him crazy but he could let the others see him break! Too much was at stake right now. He then caught scent of the same Ki Tien was coming across. That same dark energy that he hadn't sensed since….Oh No! Goku and Tien looked at the other and wondered…was it possibly him?! Could it be Mercenary Tao?!
