Hell was like a great human enterprise, with several directorates and departments that were in charge of different functions and tasks. One of the most important and feared was the department of punishment and torture of disgraced souls, where the most cruel and inhuman punishments were applied to sinners who had been condemned to eternal fire.
The head of that department was Kushina Uzumaki, a red-haired, blue-eyed woman who commanded respect and terror from all who met her. She was a high-ranking demon with great power and great ambition. Her dream was to retire, but for that she needed the support and succession of her only son, Naruto.
Naruto was a rebellious and irresponsible demon, who had no interest in hell or its affairs. He preferred to spend his time in the human world, having fun and seducing all kinds of women.
Kushina was fed up with Naruto's attitude and wanted him to change. She wanted him to accept his position as heir to the punishment and torture department and prepare to be the next headmaster. But Naruto refused again and again, saying he didn't want any of it.
- Your son keeps giving the same answer," Jiraiya said to Kushina. He says he won't take your position.
Kushina furious at the answer slammed her desk and broke it in two, scaring Jiraiya. Cursing, she began to say:
- That damn wayward child, when is he going to grow up? He's played enough in the human world.
Jiraiya cautiously said something that stunned Kushina. - I found your son fucking an angel.
Kushina panicked and grabbed Jiraiya by the shirt and said:
-What the fuck is he doing!?
Cautiously, Jiraiya replied, "As you heard. Your son is playing house with a cute black-haired angel. I checked with my eyes.
Kushina couldn't believe it. Her son was doing something really stupid. So she asked Jiraiya -Did the situation look serious?
- I don't know. It seems like it's something that has just started. But you know what demons are like when they want something. By now he's got what he wants. He'll probably give it up soon.
Kushina was puzzled and her instinct told her something else. She knew that what Jiraiya had just told her wasn't a joke. It was a very serious and dangerous matter.
- Of all the trouble Naruto could get into, he chose to get entangled with an angel," Kushina said, sternly. - Doesn't he have any sense, doesn't he know what that entails?
Jiraiya also became more serious and showed concern. He loved Naruto as his grandson and didn't want anything bad to happen to him.
- I know, Kushina, I know," Jiraiya said regretfully. - But you know Naruto. He's impulsive and curious. He likes to experience new things and doesn't care about the consequences.
- Well, he should care," said Kushina, angrily. - Because this isn't a game. This is a violation of company law, you know that the area where my idiot son works, works directly with the sins or good deeds that humans commit and those things are what decide whether humans go to heaven or hell.
- The bosses can come to think that their relationship can affect the impartial work, if the demon loses many times it's favoring the angel and if the demon wins many times it's the angel who favors him - Jiraiya quickly drew the conclusion.
Kushina and Jiraiya came to the conclusion that Naruto was an idiot. They couldn't believe that he would risk a relationship with an angel, knowing what it entailed. Not only was it a violation of corporate law, but also a threat to the balance between heaven and hell.
- This is crazy," said Kushina, in frustration. - What's going on in that kid's head, doesn't he realise that he's endangering his job and his life?
- I don't think he cares much about that," said Jiraiya, resignedly. - He's just living in the moment and doing whatever he wants.
- Well, he'll have to stop," Kushina said firmly. - I can't let him go on with that nonsense. He has to put an end to that angel as soon as possible.
- And how do you plan to accomplish that? - Jiraiya asked, curious.
- I don't know yet," Kushina said honestly. - But I'll think of something. In the meantime, I want you to keep an eye on my jerk of a son to see how the situation progresses. And if that relationship doesn't end, we'll have to intervene.
- All right," Jiraiya said dutifully. - I'll do as you ask. But be careful, Kushina. We don't know how Naruto will react if we meddle in his business.
- I'm not worried about Naruto," said Kushina, confidently. - I'm more worried about the angel. We don't know what his intentions are or what part he plays in all this. Maybe he's just an innocent victim of my son's stupidity and lust.
You're right," Jiraiya said, cautiously. - The angel's actions must be taken into account. A relationship is a two-way relationship. And we don't know how she feels about Naruto.
- This will sound hypocritical," said Kushina, anxiously. - But I pray to God that my son and that angel don't become anything more than attracted to each other. Because if they fall in love, then we'll be in trouble.

Meanwhile, elsewhere, Naruto and Hinata were escaping from their duties to enjoy a moment alone. They had tucked themselves into a secluded corner, where no one could see or disturb them. There they indulged in their forbidden passion, regardless of anything else.
Naruto had her cornered against the wall, his arms around her waist and his mouth devouring hers passionately. The height difference between them was very noticeable, but that didn't stop them from kissing each other intensely. Hinata felt trapped by Naruto's body and breath, but she couldn't deny that she liked it. He was so different from the angels she knew, so bold and wild, he made her feel things she had never felt before.
With all her strength, she managed to pull Naruto away from her mouth and said, very agitated, "We have to get to work.
He just smiled at her, licked his lips and said in a hoarse voice, "I don't want to go to work.
-I don't want to go to work. I want to be with you." And he kissed her again, without giving her time to protest. He knew he should listen to her, but something in his body prevented him from moving away from her. He felt an irresistible attraction for this angel with black hair and white eyes that made him lose his mind. After satisfying his desire to kiss her and running out of breath, Naruto pulled away from her just a little, looking at her with desire.
Not wanting to stop, he had to pull away from her completely. They had a job to do and he knew it. Discreetly, they arranged their clothes and walked out of that corner. Hinata looked slightly annoyed, but that seemed more appealing to Naruto.
Their job for the day was to be the voices of an old man selling candy like viagra. That made Naruto die of laughter and Hinata wanted to hold back the laughter, but couldn't.
Amidst the laughter, Naruto asked Hinata, "What am I supposed to do as a demon if the old man is already evil? My work is practically done.
Hinata nudged him, but Naruto kept laughing. Hinata approached the old man and as a guardian angel said, kindly, "Sir, I recommend you stop selling those candies. They are not good for your health or for the health of others. Besides, if you keep doing that, the other old men will hunt you down and lynch you.
Hinata was trying to keep her composure, but she was having a hard time holding in her laughter. The situation was so absurd that she couldn't believe it was her job. To make matters worse, Naruto kept making mocking comments about the old man.
-What's the matter, Hinata, aren't you having fun? - Naruto said to her, sarcastically. - Look, here comes another old man to buy the magic candy. What are you going to tell him?
Hinata looked at him reproachfully, but couldn't help but smile. Naruto was so funny and irreverent that it made her forget their differences.
Naruto was like a child making comments on the peculiarities of the elderly. He made fun of their wrinkles, their walkers, their dentures and their ailments. Hinata tried her hardest not to laugh, but she couldn't when Naruto made a comment about an old man who seemed to have lived longer than him.
-See that old man? - Naruto said to her, pointing to a stooped, grizzled man. - He's older than me. And I'm a demon. How does he do it? Does candy give him eternal life?
Hinata couldn't hold back her laughter and covered her mouth with her hand. Naruto laughed with her and gave her a kiss on the cheek. Being a guardian angel and demon, while they were working the humans couldn't see them. That's why Naruto fluttered around like an idiot, having fun with the situation. Hinata followed him with her eyes, admiring his joy and beauty. Even though she knew what they were doing was wrong, she couldn't deny that it felt good to be with him.
Naruto realised that the old man wasn't going to change his mind. He had sold all his candy and made himself rich at the expense of others. Naruto shrugged his shoulders and said to Hinata:
- I think there's nothing left to do. That old man was already lost from the beginning. Surely the guardians before us had already decided the fate of his soul. -she said resignedly. Naruto smiled at her and stroked her hair.
- Don't worry, Hinata. It's not your fault. Some souls are more difficult than others. Besides, we can't interfere with humans' free will. They are the ones who choose their path. -he explained patiently.
- I know, this time you beat me without lifting a finger.
Naruto took her hand, "Come on, it's time to eat. I'll give you whatever you ask for. -he offered encouragingly.
Hinata sighed - Alright... I'd like some cinnamon rolls. -
