The Shade Rewrite

A rewrite of my old story. An assassination Tsunade ordered resulting in the death of Uzumaki Naruto has caused Konoha nothing but problems. The war against Iwagakure bankruptcy the loss of Wave Spring and Demons have cost Konoha millions and thousands of troops. Now a suspicious client is looking to hire them for protection against the leagendary assassin Shade.

2. Chaper 2

This mite be a little longer then normal with a depressing start but hope you enjoy it.

16 years ago after the Kyuubi's attack Jiraiya's appartment.

Jiraiya sat down with cute blonde haired baby boy he sat there still processing the death of Minato and Kushina. "I suppose we should start with introductions eh kid?". He asked the sleeping baby a tear went down his eye. "I'm Jiraiya I was abandoned so I don't have a family name. I am one of the Sannin though trained by the God of Shinobi himself thats pretty cool right?". He asked the baby he was holding gently. "I like writing books drinking Saki. Doing research but your aunt Tsunade and your mom always hated it. Not that I'd do it with your mother she'd kill me like your aunt nearly did hee hee". Jiraiya said with a soft tearfully smile. "I don't like judgemental people. Snakes or people who brake their word". He couldn't stop tearing up.

"My goal it is….it was to find the child of prophecy I thought a young man in Ami was it. He had the Rennigon Y'know the eyes of the Sage of the Six paths". He thought about the young man sadly. "He ended up dying Y'know thinking back he and your mother looked a lot a like. Then I thought your father was it but…". Jiraiya hugged the baby crying then looked at him. "Maybe you're it I don't know but I don't care right now. My goal is to raise you Naruto I have a lot of growing up to do myself but….I'm your godfather and I'll always be there for you". Jiraiya stood up and brought the child in to his bedroom putting him down to sleep. "Rest up little guy no matter what I'll be there". He said with a soft smile he sat on a chair watching him before drifting off.

A year and a half.

Naruto was playing with a tadpole Gamakichi while being watched by Ma and Pa toad Jiraiya was making his lunch. "Naruto-Boy please let go". Pa toad begged as the giggling one year old was pulling on his eye brows while Ma laughed. "Alright little buddy stop picking on pa it lunch time". Jiraiya said picking him up with a smile putting him on a high chair. "Da…da..da". Naruto tried to say getting Jiraiya and the toads attention. "Dada". Naruto said with a toothless smile a tear went down Jiraiya's wide eyes as he smiled at Naruto. "Come on little buddy eat do it….for Dada". He asked happier then he's ever been in his life.

Two weeks later after Naruto's second birthday.

"Come on little buddy you can do it". Jiraiya said with a big old fashioned camera filming as Naruto was picking himself up he was wearing a bright orange onesie. Hiruzen was there watching smiling a bit. "Come on do it for Dada". That got the Hokage's attention as Naruto stood up and started taking a step then feel forward Jiraiya with lightening fast speed grabbing him before he hit the floor lifting him up smiling. "You almost got it I'm so proud of you my boy". Jiraiya said Naruto giggled Hiruzen felt like a bastard with his other reason why he was here Naruto yawned.

"Oh looks like someone's tired". Jiraiya said with a loving smile as some sleepy baby gibberish argument was returned from Naruto making Jiraiya chuckle. "Come on I'll read you the next chapter of Icha Icha paradise you're going to love it. Now our hero's are going to seal the deal if ya know what I mean?". Hiruzen looked at him in wide eyed shock Jiraiya laughed. "I'm kidding it's The Tale of the Utterly Gutsy Shinobi my first book I wrote about a hero named Naruto. Not a best seller but he loves it". Hiruzen laughed feeling like an idiot now as Jiraiya went to Naruto's room.

Ten minutes later.

Jiraiya walked out chuckling. "Getting to the fight scenes are the best with him". Jiraiya said sitting down smiling. "He'll sit up a throw little punches till he tuckers himself out. Man it's cute he'll be Hokage in no time". Jiraiya said proudly Hiruzen looked at him with a frown. "Just like his father". Hiruzen thought trying to find the nerve and preparing for a knock out punch. "I've tried contacting your spys. Haven't heard from the best ones in weeks". Hiruzen explained Jiraiya shrugged. "They wouldn't be my best if they bothered you with the little things". Jiraiya said unbothered Hiruzen sighed. "They told me they'll only work for you I maybe Hokage but I don't have their trust. Jiraiya I need you back in the field. I'm sorry but I can't give you a choose on this". Hiruzen said feeling guilty he looked at Jiraiya only to see his fist coming towards him then darkness.

Two hours later.

"Who's my big strong guy? That's right you are". Hiruzen heard waking up see Jiraiya feeding Naruto smiling sadly as Naruto to. "Dada dada da da dadadada". Naruto sang out Jiraiya chuckled holding it it Hiruzen's heart shattered. "Naruto I have something to tell you". Jiraiya said it tear Naruto looked at him reaching for a hug Jiraiya took him. "I have to go away for a while I'm sorry but I'll be back I swear". Jiraiya said trying to convince the oblivious year and a half old baby. "Dadada". Naruto said not making Jiraiya fell any better he brought Naruto over to Hiruzen glaring at him. "He better be safe old man or Orochimaru won't be the only student to worry about". He glared hard murderously at his former mentor. "Am I clear?". Hiruzen nodded ashamed of himself. "His family account is not to be touched either I'll support him". Jiraiya ordered Hiruzen nodded again giving him Naruto Jiraiya went to pack. When he was done Jiraiya walked to the door he wanted to hug Naruto but if he did he wasn't going to leave.

"DADA". Jiraiya turned and saw Naruto shaking out of Hiruzen's grip he rolled off the couch and stood up Jiraiya kept watching tearfully as Naruto took a step trying to walk towards him. "Dada". Naruto he raised his arms for a happy hug. Jiraiya looked at him crying something Naruto caught on to. "Dada". Jiraiya turned to the door he heard Naruto drop and started crying not daring to turn he opened the door and left. His first mission drink himself stupid find a motel and brake down.

October 10th Naruto's 8th birthday.

Jiraiya finally got his network to accept Hiruzen as the network head. He heard about the Uchiha massacre and felt sick but today was a happy day for him. Now he could return to Naruto sure the kid will probably punch him but whatever. One day the boy he raised for two fun filled years will forgive him. One day he will be Hokage like his father one he'll help Jiraiya with his reacher. He could almost feel Kushina's glare from the afterlife and laughed loudly uncaring of the looks he was getting. He stopped by Ichiraku ramen for a meal according to his spy's Naruto was unbelievably energetic and figured he'd need a full stomach to keep up with him.

"Welcome to Ichiraku ramen sir". A 12 year old girl greeted Jiraiya smiled brightly at her. "Ayame it's been awhile my how you've grown". Jiraiya said confusing the girl he chuckled. "It's me your favourite uncle Jiraiya". He said goofily Ayame smiled brightly and hugged him. "What are you doing here Uncle?". She asked Jiraiya grinned. "I'm here to see someone vary important hopefully he'll be happy to see me again to". He replied then noticed a photo and a cork bored it was of a six year old Naruto and Ayame. Naruto had an adorable smile as Ayame hugged him from behind sisterly it made him smile.

"Jiraiya ya old peeper how are ya?". He turned and saw Teuchi making him grin. "Peeper me? I don't know what you're taking about you brat". The two shared a laugh Ayame was confused. "Dad what's a peeper?". Teuchi froze Jiraiya grinned jokingly. "It's what your dad used to do to your mom it's how they met and fell madly in love actually". Jiraiya explained getting a glare Ayame nodded. "I hope that happens to me one day then dad was always so loving to mom". Teuchi looked at his daughter angrily. "NOOOOOOOO". He shouted making half the village jump terrified at hearing it Jiraiya burst out laughing tears in his eyes.

An hour of Teuchi yelling at the still laughing Jiraiya later he finally got his order Jiraiya kept looking at the photo Teuchi caught him. "Guess you want to know who that is eh?". He asked Jiraiya decided to play the stupid card his old spy senses taking hold. "Yeah let me guess Ayame's boyfriend?". Jiraiya said with a grin Ayame blushed. "My little brother dummy". She said angrily Jiraiya smiled at her. "He was starving half to death in the rain not a penny to his name. Gave him some ramen been my best and favourite costumer ever since". Teuchi said frowning a bit Jiraiya was internationally angry.

"Is that so?". He asked with a frown to Teuchi who nodded he got close to Jiraiya. "Between you and me I've been wanting to adopt him Ayame loves him to death. She also always wanted a sibling and….well with Yuko gone I just want her to be happy ya know?". Yuko was Teuchi's wife she died in the Kyuubi attack one of the many people Jiraiya loved and lost. "The Hokage keeps saying no I don't care what he is he's a good kid. Hell he's a hero". Jiraiya looked at him confused and internally worried. "What he is?". Teuchi nodded. "You're a Sannin so I'm sure you know what I'm talking about". Jiraiya's eyes widened it shock Teuchi nodded. "How do you know about it?". Jiraiya asked heartbroken Teuchi frowned.

"Word simply spread the Hokage tried hunting down the source. Since he couldn't find the bastard he ordered everyone to silence until death. Still people are stupid". Teuchi informed then frowned sadly. "Can I asked you a favour J?". Jiraiya nodded Teuchi looked at the calendar. "His birthday is today he always gets the worst of it then. Normally I'd hide him here or Iruka would take him but I'm worried I haven't seen him all day. Jiraiya I'm begging you he's just a boy a good one at that can you look out for him. I know everyone thinks he's a monster that he….he killed Minato and Kushina but he didn't please help him. They were like family and I know they wouldn't stand for it". Teuchi said Jiraiya ran out of the ramen stand towards Naruto's appartment.

Naruto's appartment.

Jiraiya ran up the stairs to find Naruto's door kicked in running in he saw the place was destroyed and ransacked. "Lord Jiraiya?". He turned and saw a couple of thieves looking at him surprised. "What the fuck are you doing In here?". Jiraiya asked angrily scaring them. "The demon was sent to the hospital so we figured mite as well rob him he doesn't have much but we can give you a cut". Jiraiya grabbed him by the throat the others heard it cracking sounds scaring him. "This place better be clean the money in your pockets better be left here the furniture fixed and that hole in the wall patched by the time I return". Jiraiya ordered deadly serious. "Wwwwhat hole sssir?". The terrified thief asked Jiraiya then smashed the person's head in to the wall scaring them. "That one also deal with the blood". He said cracking his knuckles looking at them.

An hour of bloody retribution later.

Jiraiya made his way to the hospital walking up to the cute receptionist. "Jiraiya-Sama hello". The receptionist said with a warm smiles down bow. "Uzumaki Naruto where is he?". Jiraiya asked the warm smile dropped in to an angry sneer. "Upstairs room 345 the Naruto sweet we call it". Jiraiya got angrier. "Naruto sweet?". He repeated she nodded. "His regular room Hokage-Sama made sure it's reserved for him at all times honestly we have real people who could use it". She started then grinned. "Are you here to getting rid of the big bad demon for us? I know I'd be ever so grateful". She said with a wink Jiraiya looked a her filled tea cup picking it up he splashed it in her face shocking everyone. "I don't like disgusting child beating bitches despite my reputation. You're no where near something I'd be interested in". He threw the tea cup at a Hokage guard before walking off leaving the receptionist embarrassed and ashamed.

The Naruto sweet.

Jiraiya pushed the guards out of the way opening the door his heart shattered. Naruto the small 8 year old boy he loved so much was lying on the bed covered in bandages and tubes. Hiruzen was sitting there tired he hadn't sleep in days eyes wide open yet not noticing Jiraiya Iruka was next to him just as sleepy absolutely worried. "You bastard". Jiraiya said getting their attention Hiruzen looked at him ashamed of himself. "Jiraiya-Sama". Iruka greeted exhaustedly. "Go home Iruka get some rest please". Hiruzen ordered Iruka looked at him ready to pass out. "I'd rather stay I'm worried sir". Iruka said in tired yet respectful defiance Hiruzen sighed getting up and walking out with Jiraiya.

The forest far from the hospital.

The Hokage forced his protection squad to remain at Naruto's room. Jiraiya knew what Hiruzen was doing it was a smart play to minimize damages and deaths. When they stopped Hiruzen turned and the feeling of nostalgia hit him as hard as Jiraiya's fist. Flying in to a tree Hiruzen stood up and dodged Jiraiya's next hit then grabbed the next punch twisting Jiraiya's arm behind his back. "Are you going to calm down?". Hiruzen asked Jiraiya move he head for a backwards head butt but Hiruzen let go kick his back knocking him forward. "I'll let that punch go Jiraiya but I'm still the God of Shinobi you can't win". Hiruzen warned Jiraiya stood up angrily.

"Win or lose I'm going to hurt you, you old bastard I trusted you with him. Now I find my godson half dead on a fucking hospital bed in he's apparent regular room. I don't care if you're a god I'm going to fucking brake you in two". Jiraiya said in a blind rage Hiruzen sighed removing his robes. He was in a red wool sweater black sweat paints with black sandals. "I'm sorry Jiraiya I really am". Jiraiya spat on the ground and charged throwing a punch Hiruzen dodged and kneed him in the stomach. Getting an elbow to the back of the head in return Jiraiya put Hiruzen in a head lock ready to suplex him. Instead of braking out of it Hiruzen use a series of small but fast and hard punches to Jiraiya's mid section. Jiraiya coughed letting him go but gave Hiruzen an upper cut to the chin. Hiruzen jumped dodging the strike flipping backwards with expertise the fist missed his chin by centimetres. As he was about to touch the ground Jiraiya kicked Hiruzen's chest knocking him in to a rock.

"I'm starting to see why Orochimaru and Tsunade left you're fucking useless. As a Kage Sensai grandfather and friend. No wonder Asuma was such an asshole as a kid". Jiraiya shouted angrily Hiruzen glared getting up and getting in to his legendary monkey stance. "Now I'm not going to be nice to you Jiraiya". Hiruzen said calmly yet angrily Jiraiya glared. "I don't fucking need you to be nice I needed you to be there for him while I was gone. So bring it you rat bastard". Jiraiya said getting in to his own stance. "I wouldn't do that if I were you Jiraiya-Sama". They heard Jiraiya turned and his eyes widened in shock sitting on a rock was the calm cool and collected mass murderer himself. The biggest traitor since Orochimaru the Clan Killer Itachi Uchiha.

"What the fuck?". Jiraiya shouted angrily as Itachi got up and bowed to the two surprising Jiraiya and making Hiruzen frown. "As you can already guess Jiraiya this is Uchiha Itachi. Konoha's 2ed most wanted man". Hiruzen introduced Jiraiya looked at the two angrily. "And why the fuck is this piece of shit here? Why are you so fucking mellow about it?". Jiraiya asked getting angrier the two frowned sadly. "I have a mission involving Naruto-San". Itachi started getting his attention. "I was one of the few people on his protection squad that did his job Jiraiya-Sama. I'm going to continue doing that as well if you're willing to listen". Jiraiya was surprised as Itachi sighed. "Where to even begin?".

Two long hours of Itachi explaining the reason for the massacre Danzo's involvement and about the newly forming Akasuki's goal later.

Jiraiya sat there in complete shock while Hiruzen just frowned sadly. "Who is the leader of Akasuki?". Jiraiya asked Itachi shrugged. "I don't know his real name or even what he looks like. I suspect he's the same man that killed Minato-Sama and Kushina-Sensai". Itachi informed shocking Jiraiya. "During the massacre he and I….shared the shinobi of my clan he also was the one that butchered the children. While I dealt with most of the adults he supposedly is Uchiha Madara". Jiraiya was in complete shock. "That's impossible he died almost eighty years ago". Jiraiya said unbelieving Itachi nodded in agreement. "Doesn't mean he isn't strong in his own right. He wares an orange mask with a single eye hole on the right side. Doubt him or not he definitely is an Uchiha". Itachi informed with a frown he had a theory on the masked mans identity but kept it to himself. If he was right all it would do is distract Jiraiya from his main objective of helping Naruto.

"Right now Akasuki is only starting to form. The puppet leader is a man known as Pain who is just as powerful in his own right. Though I don't know where he is most of the time his headband marks him as Amigakure his partner Angel is from the same place". Jiraiya was remembering three others from Ami it hurt him dearly when he found out Hanzo killed them. "Angel?". Jiraiya asked Itachi nodded. "She and Pain have been using code names. Next to myself they're the only other ones that know who is really running things". Itachi said he let out a cough his lungs were in pain again but ignored it. "You alright?". Jiraiya asked Itachi nodded he kept his sickness to himself a time limit for Sasuke he told himself.

"Akasuki at the moment is selling itself as a mercenary group while recruiting other S-racked missing Shinobi. They need ten in total without Madara for what reason I don't know yet but once it attains enough of a budget we'll start targeting Jinchuuriki in order of one to nine. My target is Naruto himself". Jiraiya was terrified for Naruto's safety Hiruzen was nodded sadly. "I took a gamble coming here today Jiraiya-Sama. Trust me I know how terrible all this is". Jiraiya looked at Itachi with sympathy as Itachi looked down sadly. "Right now the members are Sasori of the Red Sand. Pain Angel my current partner is Juzo Biwa of the 7 swordsman and a strange looking individual named Zetsu". Itachi looked around scanning the area making sure no one was around.

"Sasori may be the spy master but Zetsu is an infiltration specialist. He also apparently is his own partner". This confused them greatly. "He's either schizophrenic or two living beings with one body to share either way he's good. I've never seen him fight but apparently he deals in stealth and assassinations. He's currently keeping an eye on the Jinchuuriki's in every other village he can be anywhere so be carful". Itachi warned they nodded worried.

Pain at the moment is going to recruit Kakazu of Taki. Then he's going after Orochimaru". Jiraiya and Hiruzen were worried those are some tuff bastards Akasuki was getting. "Is he going to try and recruit Orochimaru?". Hiruzen asked worried Itachi shook his head. "Sasori is the Akasuki spy master like I said. He found out Orochimaru has been digging up info on us. They're going to kill him Pain himself is going to do the job". Itachi explained Jiraiya thought of his former best friend and didn't care he was rooting for Pain on this one as he listened.

"I have plans for my little brother but until Sasuke is ready I'll be spying on Akasuki for Konoha. Till then I need you to be my contact because I will be coming for him to not blow my cover. I will be ruthless and heartless I will be a monster a complete bastard in everyone's eyes including yours. I'll also inform you of when I come for him so you can be there and prepared. I owe Kushina-Sansai and I don't want any harm to come to her son he may be the only one that can save my brother". Itachi said trying to convince him. Jiraiya looked down sadly on the verge of tears. "I finally got my spy's to trust Hiruzen now I can't even trust him with my Godson. You can't come to Konoha when ever you want so I have to remain out in the field. Everytime I think I can be there for him I have to stay away to keep my boy safe". Jiraiya said angrily looking at Hiruzen handing him a bag. "Did you ever tell him anything about me?". Jiraiya asked Hiruzen frowned ashamed. "He doesn't know anything about his past. He's to inquisitive and doesn't listen when he has a personal mission. If I told him about you he'd most likely would have ran off looking for you". Hiruzen explained Jiraiya glared angrily grabbed Hiruzen forcing him to look Jiraiya in the eye to see the murder in them.

"You best start protecting him properly or I'll fucking kill you Hiruzen and take him with me. Konoha can fucking burn for all I care". Hiruzen was heartbroken but nodded. "I'll try to make…". Hiruzen started Jiraiya glared harder. "Don't fucking try FUCKING DO. Kushina was a Jinchuuriki and she was fine because you did your job. Start doing it for him Hiruzen I'm not playing around with you any fucking more". Hiruzen nodded Jiraiya thought about something. "I'll be gone for a while so I'll send coded messages to Konoha. I can't have the enemy catching massagers so I'll use my books". Jiraiya said getting their attention. "How do you know they'll reach Konoha?". Itachi asked Jiraiya sighed. "Icha Icha was a joke I sent to my publisher who said my stories weren't "spicy" enough. It's actually my bestseller so I'll use that I guess being a pervert is a good thing after all. Tsunade is going to be pissed". Jiraiya tried to joke Hiruzen security loved that novel but wasn't going to like it as much now. Jiraiya sighed sadly getting up. "The moment we start the real mission I'll let you know. We may need Naruto last doesn't mean we won't try to get him early". Itachi informed Jiraiya nodded. "That bag is a gift for Naruto Hiruzen. Before I go I'm heading to his apartment if it's not clean I'm going to murder a couple of people. So consider this your last time being useless". Jiraiya said walking off leaving Hiruzen feeling ashamed he looked in the bag it was a green frog wallet.

Naruto's celebration party. 3 days before the end. The Red Leaf Bar.

Jiraiya was standing in the corner holding in his emotions the Son he never had was going to die. Because of him because he was never around now he had to end his life. If only he wasn't so trusting. "Hiruzen I hope where ever you are you're suffering you old bastard". He thought to himself watching Naruto who received the best surprise of his life. Tsunade promoted him straight to Jonin and gave him his first ever leadership roll. He is to lead the Konoha 11 Jiraiya and Kakashi on a defence mission of Wave. The mission itself was to be top secret as Tsunade was worried about "spy's". Naruto accepted any and all excuses as to why he couldn't tell anyone and why Sai wasn't joining. He trusted in his friends never once thinking something was wrong. He decided to throw a small party to celebrate his next step towards being Hokage. Naruto was drinking to everyone's surprise the fact he picked a bar was something else.

"Aren't we a little young to be drinking Naruto-Kun?". Hinata asked Naruto shrugged. "We've been putting our lives on the line since we were thirteen Hinata. I myself have be beaten stabbed one time literally impaled by a god according to Shion-Chan and we're all Chunin and Jonin so why not?". He asked with a foxy grin making her blush out of guilt target or not. She wanted to hug him finally kiss him and tell him to run for dear life. She felt so weak right now Shikamaru noticed and brought her another drink. "Fair enough so do you have any plans for the mission boss man?". Shikamaru asked with a false grin Naruto shrugged.

"The Gato mansion is a pretty open place far enough away from the village to not worry about civilians getting hurt. I went exploring before we left Wave so I know the best spot to attack from. It's a good vantage point for us. Also who knows if the bandit's built any extra defences around the place. Given most of them have worked with Zabuza and Haku they'd have to be stupid not to prepare for Shinobi in a Konoha protected village". Naruto said nonchalantly surprising them with the amount of sence the reply had. "And considering the original henchmen are apparently running everything. I wouldn't be surprised if they recruited more men Wave broke them apart last time. So I doubt they'd attack again by themselves. They might even have Shinobi so expect anything and everything. Good thing we have Shino Neji and Hinata between his beatles and their eyes. We basically all seeing and all knowing". Naruto said with a grin everyone nodded lie or not Naruto thought about just about every scenario. "Still even though we have Sakura-Chan and I trust her with my life. I want everyone to have basic first aid kits. You can never be to carful especially in Wave it's full of surprises if you're not prepared. I'd rather not be back stabbed on my first leadership mission Ya Know?". Everyone tried not to frown guilty at him especially Sakura as Naruto sipped his drink grinning.

"I'll be honest I know you're all worried". Everyone was surprised and scared of his words. "After all I'm not as smart as Shikamaru here I know that but I'll be watching your backs the hole time. You're my comrades I won't allow any of you to fall especially under my command. Got to prove myself as Hokage after all best why to do that is being everyone home Ya Know?". Everyone looked at him on the verge of tears was the Kyuubi just manipulating them? Jiraiya wanted to grab Naruto and run like hell out of Konoha with him. Naruto raised his glass in cheers. "To Konoha". He shouted. "TO KONOHA". Everyone shouted back holding everything in especially Jiraiya as they drank so much by the end of the night Naruto had to summon clones to take them home. No one knew he was drinking water the hole time to keep an eye on them.

Wave.

Sasuke was walking along the border to Wave Orochimaru got word from his spy network, that a large force including Jiraiya Kakashi and Naruto were on their way to Wave battle ready. He wanted Sasuke to check it out maybe even get his chance to kill Naruto to get his Sharingan to full power. Sasuke still held his ground on killing Naruto after the valley of the end were he spared his best friends life. He was still curious though and decided to check it out.

He made his way to a large cliff overlooking some rapids he sensed the in coming group jumping into the bushes he watched. The group was none other then the Konoha 11 lead by Naruto of all people. A proud smile on his face he was wearing that stupid orange track suit of his. Not as bad as the one he had as a kid but still for a stealth operation really? He did take notice of his Jonin vest and was actually happy for the guy. The others though didn't look happy they seemed to Sasuke sad and a little scared. He noticed Sakura shaking sadly for what? He wondered they landed at a cliff edge Naruto moved forward and became rather serious for a moment. Crossing his arms in contemplation on the other side of the cliff was Gato's old mansion.

Naruto was thinking long and hard until a plan came to him as he turned to tell his squad what to do. To both his shock and that of Sasuke's Jiraiya charged at him slamming him in the gut Naruto felt a burning sensation as he flow in to a near by rock. The crying Jiraiya added a Rasangon to the hit screaming in agony as he felt like his stomach basically on fire.

Naruto tried to move as a sword was rammed in to his shoulder pinning him to the rock. He looked up to see Tenten's cold yet broken eyes as she moved for Sakura to punch Naruto through the rock. He coughed up blood on impact as he laid there stunned and in pain he felt himself getting back up. He found that his body was moving on his own he saw Shikamaru looking at him the same look like Tenten gave him.

"Why?". He said in fear and shock "Why are you doing this? Is it Genjutsu? Come on guys brake it I know you're stranger then that". Naruto said trying to get through to them. Shikamaru moved to stand up straight making Naruto do the same. "It's over Kyuubi". Kiba said tearfully as he slashed Naruto in the chest with his claws since Naruto couldn't move. All he could do was scream as he was being cut open Neji came in from behind all Naruto heard from them was. "8 Tri-Grams 64 plums". He felt hit after hit as Neji struck the final was a shot to the chest many wondered how he didn't die right there? Jiraiya noticed Naruto's healing factor wasn't working so he couldn't explain how he didn't die. Neji moved to let Lee hit him square in the chest then head Shikamaru's shadow loosed from the force and Naruto fell to his knees.

"You think I'm the Kyuubi?". The sadness in Naruto voice told them almost everything. He didn't even feel Ino's Kunai in his side or Choji's fist to the face or even Shino's bugs biting him. When a tearful Kakashi slammed his Chidori into his back only then did feel the burning he was all to familiar with. Hinata stood off to the side watching she couldn't do it she held a kunai shacking. "I ccccan't dddo it". She said shuttering tearfully. "You have to Hinata its him or you". Shino said mentally broken though he tried to hide it. Hinata continued shaking tears falling down her face this was the man she loved.

Naruto stood up out of well no one really knows tears in his eyes. "I fought...for...all of you...you were like...family to me...and this is...what...I...get?..I wish never met..any of...you". Sasuke saw the pain in Naruto's eyes he grabbed his sword now was his chance at this point it was merciful. "In order to achieve the true power of the Sharingan you'll have to kill your best friend". He heard Itachi's voice in his ear. With a shaking hand he flew from the bushes and rammed his sword in to Naruto's chest. Shocking everyone. "I don't know what's going on here but no one can kill you but me Dobe". Sasuke said with a grin Sharingan going wild Naruto looked at him wide eyed. He was going to die by the hands of his friends and Sasuke was going to deliver the killing blow. Naruto's eye's glowed red for a moment finally snapping taking Sasuke by surprise.

The next thing Sasuke felt was an upward slash taking his left eye he let out a scream as Naruto stabbed his shoulder. Angry Naruto raised his knife up Sasuke was terrified Naruto was going to take Sasuke with him. As the blade came down for the kill Naruto's eyes widened and he spat out blood. Hinata was behind him she just stabbed him in the back piercing his lung dropping his knife. He looked at her his eyes were heartbroken tears fell down his cheeks. Then they grew angry and hatful terrifying her the betrayal in them was what really got her attention. He backhanded her on to the ground.

"You bastards". He shouted punching Sasuke who then stabbed him back with a kunai out of fear again and again. Naruto stepped back holding his stomach coughing up more blood as he pulled Sasuke's sword out. "Naruto-Kun". Hinata said crying he looked at everyone tearfully completely broken. He then looked behind him seeing the darkness below then back he closed his eyes giving up. "Oh no Shadow possession Jutsu". Shikamaru shouted knowing what Naruto was about to do. Shadows raced towards Naruto who willingly fell backwards off the cliff Hinata watched him fall smashing his back on the rocks and in to the darkness. Some red light emerge from where Naruto dropped before vanishing and she heard a faint slash. "Those weren't the eyes of a demon oh god". She thought destroyed her head was spinning and her stomach turned.

"Did he just kill himself?". Choji asked shocked and heartbroken. Sasuke tried to escape holding his now missing eye and injured shoulder he needed Kabuto's help. Instead he got a hard punch to the face from Jiraiya knocking him out. Hinata continued watching the blackness tears in her eyes shell shocked. Sakura put an arm around her making her jump. "What have we done?". Hinata asked Sakura pulled her in for a hug crying with her. "Those weren't the eyes of a demon Sakura they weren't". She cried out Sakura didn't know what to believe anymore as she held Hinata tightly. "Sakura". Shikamaru said she ignored him. "Sakura Sasuke is going to bleed out we need your help". Shikamaru said shaking like everyone else. "Let him die I don't care anymore". She replied still hugging Hinata Ino had to stop the bleeding her hands were shaking. "Why didn't I stay with him?". Jiraiya asked aloud get everyone's heart shattering attention as he cried.

"He was my….I should have been there". He was completely ashamed of himself like everything else. "He was a demon right? We did the right thing right?". Kiba asked shaking hugging legs shaking tearfully Naruto's blood still on his hands. "We'll have to wait here till morning". Shikamaru started getting everyone's attention as he tied up Sasuke. "It's to dark to search right now. Sakura Choji and Hinata can take Sasuke back with Jiraiya. The rest of us…". He paused sadly. "Are going to have to find his body at sunrise". Sakura looked at him angrily. "I'm staying fuck you if you think otherwise". She said he nodded he didn't what to fight her right now. "Why am I going?". Hinata asked Shikamaru looked at her tearfully.

"We have Kiba's nose Shino's bugs Neji Byakugan and Kakashi's dogs. Hinata I know full well how much you cared about him right thing or not I'd…rather you not be here when we find him". Heartbroken and crying she nodded. "No no I'm staying I need to find him". Jiraiya protested Kakashi looked at him teary eyed. "If Orochimaru finds out he'll come after Sasuke. If that happens the others won't stand a chance Jiraiya". Kakashi explained Jiraiya broke down crying. "Can't we just kill the bastard and be done with it?". Neji asked Sakura Tenten and Lee agreed Shikamaru shook his head. "We'll need him for Information if he doesn't want to cooperate. I'll slit his throat myself I promise you that". Shikamaru said Kakashi looked at his long list student and everyone else completely broken. "Just taking him and go". He said angrily shaking looking at Jiraiya. "Please". Jiraiya looked at the cliffs edge mentally broken and nodded grabbing Sasuke and running off with the others.

The next morning.

Bugs dogs and Byakugan scanned the river and surrounding area the dogs and Kiba couldn't smell anything the bugs expanded their search and couldn't see anything. While everyone else was completely heartbroken and tired they couldn't sleep. While they searched another team at the mansion were putting down body's to be found later. All charitably donated by Danzo most of them Oto Invaders dressed to look like thugs. He kept them in fridges to remain fresh for experiments. "Is anyone else concerned about Danzo having a fridge full of corpses?". Tenten asked disgusted Lee and Ino nodded. "I do but these aren't the bodies I care about right now". He said sadly everyone on their team looked down. Kakashi appeared looking absolutely destroyed.

"Did you find him?". Lee asked tiredly Kakashi shook his head he pulled out a headband from his pocket. "We found this three miles down the river leading to a waterfall. Naruto must be in the middle of the ocean by now the others are still around Wave in disguise, in case he floats by". Kakashi wanted to do nothing but cry right now another comrade dead by his hands a complete failure. He washed his hands hours ago and just like with Rin the blood on his hands remained. They saw Shikamaru's team walking towards them not looking any happier. "We've searched everywhere there's no trace of him. I've calculated the current of the water the distance to the ocean Wave. The places he could have washed up to everything. Even the unlikely chance of him getting up and walking off as injured as he is if Jiraiya's seal did it's job he's totally human now and there's still no trace of him". Shikamaru explained sad angry ashamed about everything.

"My beatles searched a good four mile radius around the area even people's houses. He's not in Wave". Shino said Kiba nodded. "The head band was submerged for hours to. Pakkun's squad and I can't smell anything". Everyone was worried Naruto's body was to be replaced with another corpse. His body would be burned for a wide verity of reasons Orochimaru being number one on that list. "Fuck". Neji shouted angrily tears in his eyes. "First we kill him then he'll be made to be a failure now we can't even find his body. Which doesn't even matter because he's not getting a proper burial anyway. Even if he was the Kyuubi the Naruto I knew deserved better". Tenten hugged him as he cried not doing to well herself. "We've got company". Kiba said smelling the air some one was coming towards the Gato mansion everyone scattered as some Wave prospectors came to scavenge the Mansion again. "Fuck we have to call off the search for now. Will report to this to the Hokage". Shikamaru ordered everyone unfortunately nodded watching the scavenger's freak out at the pile of bodies and left.

2 hours later Hokage's office.

Tsunade and Danzo were listening to the reports something like this was completely off the books no paper trails at all. It could only be documented in the Hokage's Journal a top secret ledger. Its only allowed to be read by the next Hokage themselves. "And that's everything Hinata stabbed him in the back saving Sasuke's life then Sasuke finished the job. Though I personally think Naruto fell of that cliff willingly. His body hasn't been found our best guess is he's in the ocean". Shikamaru informed sadly Hinata was absolutely miserable Tsunade was heartbroken. "Why do you think that Nara-San?". Danzo asked Shikamaru glared.

"The look in his eyes you disgusting creature". He replied Danzo looked at him impassively. "So are we loyal enough now?". Sakura asked walking up Tsunade's desk with a glare Tsunade nodded sadly. "You should all be proud of yourselves Uzumaki was an animal that needed to be put down". Danzo said getting angry looks Jiraiya was ready to murder him. "Speaking of animals maybe we should turn our attention to you and your fridge full of bodies Danzo". Tenten said angrily everyone glared Danzo waved them off unimpressed angering them more.

"You all now know what it means to be Shinobi. Village first above everything else. I've provided that now no one can question it". Sakura looked at him impassively then to Tsunade. "That bottle you keep in your desk hand it over. No I'm not fucking asking". Sakura said Tsunade sighed opening her drawer handing it to Sakura. She took a hard swig of it. "Where's the bastard now?". Sakura asked Danzo frowned. "In T and I considering he betrayed Orochimaru to provided aid to your team I feel….". Danzo started Sakura spat Saki in to his face a smacked him hard in to a wall surprising everyone including him. "Don't say another fucking word you parasite. He's not a hero he didn't help us and I want that eye hole Naruto gave him left untreated. I want it to sting and burn him for the rest of his worthiness fucking life". She demanded angrily glaring at Tsunade tears in her eyes. Everyone nodded in agreement.

"Fuck the council and fuck your feelings he suffers I don't want him released till he's good and broken. If he doesn't know his place Tsunade so fucking help me we'll sending him to Naruto ourselves. Got it?". Sakura ask angrily Tsunade notices everyone glaring. She turned them in to killers and Sasuke wasn't Naruto they won't hesitate. She nodded heartbroken. "I wasn't planning on it don't worry any of you. Though he is useful not just for his Sharingan but for information on Orochimaru". Tsunade explained everyone nodded. "Fuck the Sharingan and the Uchiha's. I'm going to get to work on a seal for him. If he runs off one hand sigh and his head explodes". Jiraiya said walking out. "It all better be good info to or I'll cut it out of him". Lee announced everyone followed him out. Tsunade looked at Danzo. "Get the fuck out of my office". She ordered Danzo got up doing as told leaving her to cry.

With Sasuke. T and I Jail Cell.

Sasuke awoke his head was killing him he opened he eyes to find he couldn't see out of his left one. He wanted to check it but his arm couldn't move he was in a straight jacket and was chained to the wall. Sitting up on a hard bed over the years as an Uchiha and as Orochimaru's apprentice. Sasuke become a hardened shinobi but he still liked having a soft bed. When he could get one he started to think. "Let me guess at any point now Tsunade while come through that door and offer me a way back in to Konoha. I'll agree and then leave when their not looking the council will most likely want to reward me for killing Naruto anyway". He grinned in anticipation he then remembered the look he got from Naruto and frowned.

"It was a mercy still he deserved better then that. My eye hurts why can't I open it?". He thought to himself there was a puddle near his bed and with just enough light to see his reflection he was shocked. The reason why he couldn't open his eye was because he lacked an eye lid and an actual eye. "I guess you returned the favour Naruto. I bet you're laughing at me now aren't you? Still I'll be seen as a hero here something you've never gotten". Sasuke said angrily he noticed his eye was treated he was surprised Sakura didn't help. "Tsunade's probably just trying to intimidate me by making me wait. Those kiss asses on the council are probably hounding her for imprisoning me". He remained strong as he waited.

3 days later

Sasuke was waiting in the dark cell he was hungry he hadn't eaten in days and it was starting to annoy him. The door opened to revel a person. Dressed in black wearing with a hood and white AMBU mask with no paint or any distinguishing look to in. The person pulled up a chair and had a tray of food with nothing really good on it. The person took the spoon and dipped it in to some brown looking chunks of meat and brought it to Sasuke's mouth with one smell Sasuke turned away from it. "You call this disgusting grub food I would sooner starve". The person took the spoon away and left with the meal another person walked in. This one was bigger he calmly walked in Sasuke looked at him where his eyes should be behind his mask. "And who are you—". Sasuke got a punch to the face then gut then another and another. The beating took place for 5 straight minutes. Then the person calmly walked out closing the door behind him leaving a beat Sasuke in the dark.

Day 5

5 straight days past and Sasuke still hasn't eaten but sense the bigger person appeared 2 days ago. Sasuke was getting worried the door opened and the smaller person came in with the food tray. It looked like the exact same stuff from last one when the spoon came to Sasuke's mouth. This time he ate it till it was done it disgusted him but it was food then the smaller person left. The larger person entered this time Sasuke's beat was ten minutes.

Day 10

Like clockwork everyday Sasuke would eat and be beaten till the 10th. The waiter as Sasuke started to call the person with the food walked in. Sasuke was just happy it wasn't Fists as he called the person who would beat him. This time waiter had a sushi plat of Sasuke's favourite types, as Waiter fed him he actually had some joy in his head. It was better still when Fists didn't fallow but he waited for hours just in case it lasted tell Sasuke fell asleep. He was dreaming about Naruto's final moments his blade was in Naruto's guts he looked in to Naruto's eyes to find there were none just empty voids. That stared back at him then red fire burst from them and with out warning rushed Sasuke. He couldn't finish the dream as a blow to the face was what he felt in the waking world it was Fists and another beating for 20 minutes from Sasuke's personal devil.

Day 15

Sasuke was trembling he hadn't seen Waiter in 3 days and Fists arrived more randomly then before. Sasuke was starting to think he died and this was hell. Nightmares of Naruto were coming more frequently. He was starting to feel guilty for what he had done his grip on reality was already fading. All of a sudden Fists came through the door louder then normal he grab Sasuke by the neck a threw him against a wall. The big guy removed his chains and dragged Sasuke to another room by the hair. It was the whitest thing he ever saw people made of shadows were walking around the room aimlessly. Fists tossed him in and closed the door behind him leaving Sasuke in there. Sasuke didn't know what to make of it. Sasuke took a chance and walked from one end of the room to the other as he walked he stared to hear shouting.

"Traitor".

"Itachi should have killed you".

"Your parents died of shame".

"Garbage Uchiha".

"Your brother was the only good one".

Sasuke heard this and was getting angry on till he felt at rock hit him in the head knocking him down. The shadows approached him and started to beat Sasuke he screamed for mercy but nothing came of it. Only more insults it only stopped when Waiter came a saved him. Waiter brought Sasuke back to his cell and rested him in bed were he pass out from the pain.

Day 20.

Sasuke grow dependent on waiter and terrified of Fist and that white room. He ate what he got and wouldn't speak in case he angered his only friend. She was even nice enough to clean the eye it still stung but it wasn't infected anymore. He wanted to hug her but held himself back from doing so only thanking her with complete sincerity. She hugged him making him feel safe then left.

Day 26.

Sasuke has been sleeping with his good eye opened in case Fist appears. "Everywhere is dangerous everywhere is dangerous". He kept mumbling. "Everywhere is-". Fists appeared out a no where this time the beating was a full hour.

Day 31

Waiter came in the door no food in hand Sasuke was worried about that. Waiter walked in and gave him a hard right to the cheek. Then a left then a knee to the gut making him throw up. "What did I do?". He yelled scared no response came the beating continued for a half an hour. Sasuke was bloodied and broken it made matter's worse when Fist walked it and grabbed him by the ankle and dragged him down the hall. "What's happening?". He thought to him self he was brought to another door lifted up and the tossed in to it. He went through the door and hit the ground looking up he saw a table with two chairs. He was picked up again and sat down hard the big man smacked him on the back of the he'd and left the room. The door on the opposite end of the room opened it was Tsunade. She walked to the other chair and sat down Sasuke didn't say a word, not knowing what to say anyway. "Its been awhile Uchiha do you like your new accommodations?". Sasuke didn't respond right away. "What is this Tsunade?". Tsunade gave him a promising pain kind of cold look. "I will tell you now boy you will address me as Hokage-Sama now or you'll be spending another month in that hole got it?". She demanded an answer.

"Yes Hokage-Sama". Sasuke answered quickly. "Good boy now I have an offer for you would you like to hear it?". Sasuke nodded quickly. "Yes Hokage-Sama?". Tsunade seemed pleased. "Here's the offer you come back to Konoha you well keep your family house but all financial assets well belong to Konoha. You well help us destroy Orochimaru's village and kill the man himself. We will also put what is called a loyalty seal on you to make sure you live up to your end of the bargain. If it's not to your liking while I have twelve other people ready to convince you". She finished waiting for a response. Sasuke realize he was getting the short end of the stick but didn't want to go back. He realized that he couldn't ride the Uchiha name anymore even though that wasn't his intention to begin with. It did help him a lot over the years though. "I'll do it Hokage-sama I..I just want to know one thing please". Tsunade raised an eye brow "What would that be Uchiha?". Sasuke tried to find the words.

"When I finished off Naruto or more accurately tried to". Tsunade flinched in her head at that as Sasuke continued. "I killed him my best friend. The one man thank always had my bad for power to kill Itachi and to finally seek my revenge it back fired obviously". His eye was still stinging from it. "But way did they do it? Why did you order it to begin with?". He asked it's been torture thinking about it Tsunade looked at him for a moment. "How do you know I ordered it exactly?". Tsunade ask making Sasuke look at her in the eye for the first time. "Because if you didn't I would have had a few more cell mates Hokage-Sama". Sasuke got the information he wanted and felt like he was lower then trash since. What he saw in Naruto's eyes was not hatred but sadness before he stopped caring about life. He had doubts about everything Tsunade told him but kept quite he spent the next month In jail to get the loyalty seal on him and make sure he knew his place.

The other Killers protested having him released this early even if his information destroyed a huge chunk of Oto.

One month later "Naruto's" funeral.

Sasuke had worked hard in jail then was allowed to go to Naruto's funeral, despite protest by the others and people praising his triumphant return. Asking about the act of heroism that cost him his eye. He despised everything about himself now seeing nothing but a bastard every time he looked in a mirror. Sasuke had to beg on hands and knees with complete regret to attend. He didn't know it wasn't Naruto in the coffin so to him it's closure. He suffered nightmares night after night of Naruto hunting him to finish what he started on that cliff, or of Itachi smiling at him watching Sasuke murdering his family and friends. At this point Itachi didn't matter anymore nothing mattered but making amends for his sin's.

The funeral was a rather big gathering. It was Naruto's "Friends" the Sand siblings Diamyo Koyuki the priestess Shion. Most of Wave and a good chunk of Suna were in attendance many getting ready to stand up and say a few words. Kakashi Sasuke and Sakura were sitting together next she hated it and he knew it. Beside Sakura was a man in a black suit and tai. He had brown hair and eyes with average looking face. His companion wore a similar suit he had black hair and beard with yellow eyes the brown eyed man looked at the three of them. "So Uzumaki Is dead and by some back water bandits at that shame how did that happen anyway?". Sakura looked at him sadly. "He was on a solo mission he died stopping some of Gato's henchmen". Sakura said sadly feeling sick for lying the man gave them a strange look.

"Really? Some of Gato's men I'm from Wave and I didn't hear about that part?". His black haired companion looked them as well. Sasuke looked at the man heartbroken but suspicious. "Your from Wave how come I didn't see you when we where there last time?". Sasuke asked he man gave Sasuke a thoughtful look. "Probably because I moved out of there a few years before. I wasn't around during the Gato crisis still heard everything it's nice to meet the legendary Team 7". He said with a grin. "We are in the middle of a funeral so can you leave us alone". Kakashi said not in the mood the man continued grinning. "Of course Master Shinobi". He got up as Tsunade was about to speck and walked away all eyes on him and just as many glares. His bearded friend stayed there. "You're not going with him?". Kakashi asked the other one. "I'll drink with him later". He replied his voice was calm as he continued watching Kakashi scanned him for a moment as Tsunade was about to speck.

"We are gathered here today to say good bye to a dear friend comrade and brother in arms to some a son they never had. Naruto Uzumaki fell in the line of duty. Doing what he did best defending his loved ones. Naruto had made so many friends in his short time on this planet. Who I am happy to see here today Naruto was a firm believer in the Will of Fire and lived by a Nindo to never go back on his word. This Nindo was something only Naruto could have lived by he saved so many and had passed far to young". Tears started to fall from her eyes. "Uzumaki Naruto I Senju Tsunade couldn't have become Hokage with out you. I couldn't have found my strength if it wasn't for you and with out your cheerful light. This world just got a lot darker thank you for all you have done Naruto". Tsunade looked at the body tearfully. "Naruto I'm..I'm going to miss you". She honestly didn't know what to say she was broken right now.

Iruka stood and walk to the podium she nodded and gave him the floor. She didn't want to be seen.

Iruka stood there for a moment as he looked at "Naruto's" body then to the people. "When Naruto first came to the academy I was worried. I didn't know what to expect for him and over the years Naruto could be a right pain". Many were leaning in there chairs wondering where he was going with this. "But once I got to know him the real him I mean and spend time with him I grow proud of him. Seeing Diemyo Kage Doctors and so much more just makes me prouder of the great man he was". Iruka had more tears in his eyes everyone saw how torn up he was it hurt the Killers badly.

"Naruto was like my little brother no more then that Naruto was more like my son. I loved him like my own one night we stopped a rouge ninja together. I was trying to protect him instead Naruto ended saving my life at just thirteen years old". Iruka pulled out a head band. "This was mine once...I gave it to Naruto that night to show him no matter what I would always be there for him". He had a tearful guilty look on his face like the killers had that night. "I…I failed in that and I hope that boy that brought so much joy to all of us my boy. Could forgive me and know that he will never be forgotten and that I will always love him". He looked at the body tearfully. "I'm so sorry Naruto". Iruka said sadly and went back to his chair next to Ayame and Teuchi.

Kakashi couldn't even look at him. Everyone of Naruto's killers felt horrible they were heartbroken. Ayame who was next to Iruka hugged him crying. Jiraiya sitting behind him put a hand on Iruka's shoulder in tears. "I'm happy he had you Iruka. You couldn't have been the better father for him". He said shacking Iruka Teuchi and Ayame looked at him with sympathy. "He had both of us Jiraiya-Sama". Jiraiya broke down at that Tsunade hugged him tightly.

Teuchi's turn.

He didn't hide his tears and heart brake either. "When I met Naruto it was on a rainy night he had no money to his name and was soaked from head to toe. An orphan with no friends or family to speak of". Everyone's hearts broke at that especially Jiraiya leaving him to that. "No matter what he did no one gave him the time of day but still nothing stopped him from trying". He looked at the body. "The first bowl of ramen I gave him was on the house. The smile he gave me was so genuine and happy lite up my stand I was nearly blinded by it. Naruto wasn't just my favourite customer he was a member of my family". He looked at Ayame and Iruka. "Our family he was a little ray of sunshine and no matter what he was completely loyal to his people. Even to those who didn't deserve it". Sasuke flinched at that completely ashamed he knew Teuchi was talking about him they saw Konohamaru nodding in agreement.

"The last time I saw him he was happy vary happy. I had to ask what happened". Everyone who knew was worried. "Told me. "Uncle I was just promoted straight to Jonin what I'm doing is classified for now but you're going be proud of me". He told me with a huge proud smile who knew he'd be soloing his first mission to save Wave again". The killers caught the confused looks of the Wave inhabitants worrying them. "Naruto I want you to know just how proud I am of you. I love you like my own please find the peace you more then deserve". He went to his seat to hug Iruka and Ayame.

Konohamaru took the stand.

"I don't really know where to start to tell you the truth". Konohamaru with a tear in his eye. "There was a time when I was considered nothing more then Hiruzen Sarutobi's honourable grandson". He said with a sad smile. "I could get away with anything I was a real brat and hated it. When Naruto and I first met he punched me in front of my grandfather for mouthing off. With no fucks given". Everyone chuckled sadly at that. "That was the kind of man he was I guess. Honourable grand kids Sannin Diemyo Kage Lords and leaders are here today. Did he ever treat us like anything other then just people? Did he ever hesitate to call our bullshit when he heard it?". Konohamaru asked they noticed Shion Kazahana Tazune Inari and Gaara smiling at that.

"But the moment there was a fight the moment we were in trouble. Naruto was always the first to jump in wasn't he?". Everyone nodded sadly some were even crying. "I asked him about his fight with KazeKage-Sama. I asked what was it like fighting the that monster? He told me it was ok. He's my buddy now so show some respect and left it at that. Then added if it wasn't for Gaara Temari and Kankuro we could have been killed by the sound 4". Gaara looked down sadly with a small smile Temari was hugging Shikamaru crying on him. He didn't know what to do. "He never mentioned saving Wave Demons or Spring. Didn't say anything about fighting Akasuki to save Gaara-Sama or even destroying the land of Sky's fortress saving Amaru-Chan in the process". This surprised everyone especially Naruto's team and Jiraiya.

"He'd talk about everyone there with a great deal of love and respect but never gave himself any glory. Told me about Amaru and Jiraiya saving him when he got poisoned and when he fell from that Flying Fortress after blowing it up. Ask if he had a plan to escape if Jiraiya wasn't there he said "nope" and left it at that". Everyone laughed abit it sounded like Naruto Amaru smiled in tears and Jiraiya couldn't muster one up he was to broken. "What we'd all brag about to him it was just helping his friends and people. That's the mark of a true Hokage". Tears fell from Tsunade's and Jiraiya's eyes along with the other murderers.

"I Sarutobi Konohamaru swear to follow Naruto's example. I will one day be Hokage the kind I hope my boss….my big brother would be proud of. You gave me the Rasangon and Shadow clones now I will carry your dream Rest In Peace Nii-San". Konohamaru vowed everyone looked at him with hope as he walked off the stage. "I'm sorry for your lose Iruka-Sensai". He said with a bow Jiraiya was heartbroken Iruka nodded tearfully. "I know you will be Hokage on day you got my vote". He replied with a small smile then looked at Naruto's headband and handed it to Konohamaru surprising him. "He wanted to give you everything else why not?". Iruka asked Konohamaru looked at the headband tearfully before tying it to his head standing with pride as Iruka got up and hugged him hugged.

Inari got up next.

"I'm pretty much in the same boat Konohamaru is in like most of us I assume. I mouthed off to the Speech Giver of Konoha". Everyone chuckled at that. "I was a whiner who just gave up on everything. Naruto yelled at me in front of my mom and grandpa his employer then left. I thought he was pissed to the point were he didn't care about us anymore". Inari said with a sad smile. "But the moment my mother and I were in danger he appeared out of no where beating up Gato's men single handedly. Then ran to find my grandfather. If what we just heard is true it appears he still never stopped protecting us". The people of Wave were crying.

"It's crazy though a month ago we found the battle field Naruto left. Now a month later we find out our hero fell I'm wondering…did he run after them? Did he walk in to a trap? I don't know, but he deserved better". Inari looked at the body sadly the Killers were worried that Inari was suspicious. "We named the bridge he fought for after him The Great Naruto Bridge". Everyone was surprised to hear that as Inari smiled. "Naruto inspired the people of Wave to the point where we formed a gang to fight Gato and scared off his men. Since then we've never been happier till now anyway". Inari was holding it in while his grandpa was comforting a crying Tsunami.

"Naruto in your memory knowing what I do about you and the life you had. I Inari the future leader of Wave have started the Naruto initiative a charity to help orphans and the abandoned children of the elemental nations". Everyone looked at Inari teary eyed as he cried softly for a moment. "You were my hero your life was to short but your legend will never die. The people of Wave will make sure of that". He promised he walked up to Iruka shacking his hand. "If I know Naruto you don't need to ask for forgiveness. Just be proud of the great man he was. I'd also be proud to have his father uncle and sister in Wave". Inari said Iruka Teuchi and Ayame got up and hugged him thankfully. As Inari was returning to his seat Konohamaru got up and they shook hands. "When I start earning more I'll be donating". He promised Inari smiled. "Thanks Hokage-Sama". The two hugged then went back to their seats Tsunade looked at Konohamaru she wanted him as her successor. Though she now feared Konohamaru one day reading the Hokage ledger. Sakura noticed the man next to her was smiling a bit.

Gaara was next.

"Naruto had a way of making people see the brighter side of things. Because of him I was able to earn the respect of my people and rise to be the Kazekage of Suna. Then he saves my life from Akasuki he never knew when to stop". Everyone smiled at that. "We fought each other then fought together even though I reached the rank of Kage before him. Naruto still talked to me like a Genin he never once called me Kazekage-Sama. He even once called me Gaara-Chan. I miss the irritating bastard I call my brother". Everyone chuckled at that. "I was in the darkness and he showed me the light and for that I am eternally grateful". He held his emotions in if only barely. "Like myself Naruto was a Jinchuuriki. He and I shared the same upbringing the only difference is Naruto didn't let it control his life". The Killers were braking down believing it no matter how much they didn't want to.

"He had me dead to rights during the invasion not going to lie I was scared". Gaara smiled at the Killers and family softly. "He said as long as he had his precious people he would continue fighting to the end. Because they are his strength something I adopted for my people. Something I know now I have in my brother and sister". Iruka Teuchi and Ayame smiled tearfully with Temari and Kankuro everyone else's hearts shattered. "Like my siblings I count Naruto as a brother to the end may you never be forgotten Naruto Uzumaki". Gaara walked over to Iruka and gave him a bow. "I am sorry for your loss Iruka-san". Iruka stood up and shook his hand. "Thank you Kazekage-Sama". Gaara shook his head at himI. "It's just Gaara it is your right to do so. The same applies to Teuchi-San and Ayame-San". Iruka nodded in respect. "Thank you Gaara". Gaara nodded and returned to his brother and sister giving Konohamaru a respectful nodded. Shikamaru was racked with guilt as Temari held him tightly. Jiraiya was couldn't believe it was all the Kyuubi's doing he wanted to slit his own throat right now.

Kazahana took the stand.

"You'd think I'd have an amazing speech prepared like in the movies about the Hero of Spring but I don't. Not like I could beat anything Naruto could say off the top of his head anyway". She said getting chuckles. "Naruto was all of 13 years old when I met him. Like his legend go's being the number one actress then later being found out as a Diemyo. Meant absolutely nothing to him he'd call you out on everything". She said with a smile. "His legend he was only a Shinobi for what? Three almost four years but fuck did he earn his praise". Everyone nodded to that. "Naruto because of you my homeland is free now. As thanks I will spread your legend as we speak I am writing a book about your heroism in my lands". She announced Iruka was in tears he was so proud to hear that. Jiraiya looked at Iruka with respect as Naruto's true adoptive father no matter how much it hurt. "And I will personally back the Naruto initiative under Inari. You saved and helped so many people something I hope to do as well". Inari and his family were surprised as she smiled at him. "Between he and Konohamaru I have no doubt your legacy is in good hands. I hope where ever you are you're at the vary least happy. Goodbye Naruto-Kun". She said in tears going back to her seats.

Hinata didn't really know what to do as she sat in her chair the tears running down her cheeks. On the outside she just looked like any other mourner on the inside at hearing so many people, talk about how good of a man Naruto was. It hurt badly and the fact that they're saying these things to a body that wasn't even his just made it worse. She was getting flashbacks of Naruto's betrayed glare and shook. A hand was gently placed on hers it belonged to Shino of all people even though he looked as neutral as normal. The squeezing told her other wise and she turned to Kiba to see a tear going down his eye.

Sai took the stand surprising everyone. Since Danzo ordered him not to attend.

"The funniest thing about Naruto besides teasing him. Was his over the top personality". He started getting smiles and guilty looks. "Naruto knew who and what I was and still treated me like a comrade. For someone with a life like mine it was considered a sin. Something he gladly committed because he was and still is that good of a man". The Konoha 10 looked at Sai sadly Jiraiya couldn't stand it as Tsunade held him Sai was silent for a moment as a tear fell from his eye. "Everything I knew about emotions and camaraderie I tried to learn in books. Naruto was always so irritated with that mainly because I always miss read the messages behind them". People chuckled as Sai gave his first genuine smile. "I'm unable to explain just how he helped me but I assure you he did. I doubt I even have to convince you of it either". Everyone nodded to that. "Because of him I learned the value of trust and teamwork because of him I've learned the value of friendship. My time on Team 7 with Naruto and Sakura-San and Yamato was something I'll…treasure I think that's the right word anyway". Yamato smiled tearfully while Kakashi and Sakura were broken she noticed the yellow eyed man giving her a look of sympathy. She nodded thankfully to him.

"He was the kind of person who could have accomplished anything no matter how impossible the odds. I wish he was around now to see the return of his bestfriend Sasuke someone he never gave up on". Sasuke was seen with a tear in his one eye remembering the hate in Naruto's own. Sai then chuckled softly. "When was destroying the Sky fortress explosions going off all around him. Then falling to what should have been certain death. Nobody panicked we actually got comfortable and watched the show. Now Amaru jumping after him that was the real surprising part". Everyone chuckled at the blushing Amaru. Ayame Iruka and Teuchi looked at her with small smile's. "Naruto I wish I said this to you when I had the chance but thank you. I found my humanity because of you goodbye my friend". Sai said walking off Ino grabbed him making him sit beside her. "You're not going back to Danzo I won't allow it. Please Sai stay here". She asked in tears getting a hug from him.

Neji found the nerve and took the stand.

"The day I met Naruto I didn't think much of him. I thought he was just some Clanless fool who wouldn't just accept his fate in life. This was something I tried to beat out of him but instead he won". Neji looked at the body trying to hold it in. "Instead of rubbing my nose in it he picked me up and gave me a chance at friendship. Since then I've managed to see the world in a different light and truly know even just a bit of the freedom it can give you". Tears went down his eye the guilt was killing him. "Thank you Naruto". He went back to his chair where he restive a hug from Tenten shacking with guilt.

Finally Shion.

"It's strange Y'Know?". She started while looking at the body tearfully. "I once predicted Naruto's death. I saw it all and told him with out concern for his feelings. I wasn't even sympathetic either". She said ashamed of herself. "When I told Naruto he was worried but wasn't about to run. He never ran away from anything". Everyone nodded at this. "He got impaled through the chest by Moryo the demon king himself". This shocked everyone as Shion smiled sadly. "Naruto got up and fought the beast back and killed it on his own saving my life in the process. It was the most terrifying thing I ever saw and he took it on bare handed". Tears went down her face. "Seeing him now shocks and hurts me dearly. Naruto someone as amazing as you deserved better". This destroyed everyone involved they started not believing what they did was right. "Everyone may I ask that you join me in prayer to guide his spirit to its resting place". Everyone nodded the prayer felt like it burned the souls of Naruto's killer. Sakura opened her eye for a moment the man next to her wasn't praying he was grinning in amusement it angered her. "Who is this guy?". She thought to herself.

The long walk.

As the casket was being lifted up by Gaara Kiba Kakashi Neji Jiraiya and Lee with Iruka walking in front. They brought it on the long walk from the Hokage tower to the village grave yard through the village. The mourners in toe many of them saw the villagers and shinobi with smiles on their face. The demon child was finally dead many were cheering silently many more said insults at the casket. This stopped with a blast of KI by Gaara but the damage was already done. Tsunade remembered every face for later. "Couldn't even keep their bigotry quiet for a fucking minute can they? I fucking hate this place Hiruzen you cocksucker". She heard Jiraiya whispered angrily to himself a little louder then he meant to it broke her heart. It's like looking at herself from back then. "Naruto" was brought to his final resting place in the Clanless shinobi sector of the grave yard were it was put to rest.

When the final prayer was said they meet at a bar Shion was telling the story of how Naruto had saved her. Then later asking him if he'd help her get an heir. His reaction when he found out what she meant by it got a laugh out of the movie star turned Diemyo Kyoki and Amaru. While Konohamaru and Inari were hanging out talking about Wave seeing as Naruto never mentioned his fight. Konohamaru Moegi and Udon were inspired it was a fast friendship between them. Ibiki was telling them about how Naruto passed his test with out answering a single question. That he passed on courage alone. Amaru told them about how Naruto battled her ex-Sensai saving her life and a dozen others with Sasuke. Sasuke himself was heartbroken while those in the know gave him no sympathy. Iruka was so proud of that and told stories of Naruto's pranks, it brought smiles to their faces especially Anko. The former Konoha 11 were quite at their table as Sakura scanned around the bar she noticed the two guys from earlier. She couldn't help her self but go see them Kakashi noticed and was at her back.

"Excuse me". She said getting the yellow eyed mans attention the other ignored her. "What can I do for you Shinobi-san?". He asked. "It's Sakura". He shook her hand. "Menma". He replied they sensed his friends amusement for some reason but ignored it. Sakura wanted to know something. "How did you know Naruto?". She asked he grinned. "I was his secret lover the things that man could do Kami". He said aloud everyone looked at him shocked and some were blushing he chuckled. "I'm kidding everyone else had an out of left field Naruto story figured I'd join in". That got a laugh from everyone even the killers. "I actually used to run with Zabuza's pack". He said truthfully surprising everyone.

"I got out just before Wave. Still visited the boss from time to time but didn't trust that greedy midget Gato. Even said to the boss you're probably going to end up killing the guy. Guess I was right". He said with a grin. "Hearing about a gang being lead by an eight year old Inari-Sama to take that bastard down. Wow the best part was hearing those cowered's ran at the site inspiring. I have no doubt Uzumaki must have been proud". The Wavers raised their drinks in thanks while Konohamaru and Inari shared a grin. Moegi made him blush with a impressed smile. Kakashi was a little shocked about that. "Why is one of Zabuza's old henchmen here?". He asked the yellow eyed man sipped his drink again shrugging casually.

"I prefer the term pack member myself". He said with a grin then shrugged again. "I just wanted to see what all the fuse was about this Naruto guy doesn't seem well liked here". He answered they frowned at that Tsunade was listening in with Jiraiya. "Why do you say that?". Kakashi asked the man frowned. "I saw and heard the villagers for myself they were happy to see him go how did he die again?". That worried them now someone in Zabuza's group could say that Gato's men didn't try to attack Wave. It could be a problem the man looked at Sasuke for a moment. "So I bet it's a Naruto story eh?". Menma asked everyone knew he was refusing to the eye patch. Sasuke looked down sadly while everyone listened. "I honestly wish it was a story of fighting by his side like the good old days. I wouldn't have lost it either if it was". Sasuke started worrying the others. "But I lost it doing something stupid and selfish. I'd rather not talk about it". Sasuke said heartbroken everyone but those involved gave him looks of sympathy Konohamaru was the only one who didn't. Menma nodded in understanding.

"Just seems strange fighting the boss saving two nations and a village. Apparently fighting a god and blowing up a flouting fortress. Only to die at the hands of a bunch of low tier thugs. Then again I knew a couple of those guys could of sworn they died three years ago fighting for Oto. Some of them were Iwa Jonin to hardly bandits. Maybe they went missing like we did with Kiri who knows". That got people's attention worrying everyone else more they couldn't fact check any of that. "You think they're Oto and Iwa?". Konohamaru asked suspiciously worrying Tsunade Menma nodded. "I may have found that Wave business undignified didn't mean I wasn't still earning. I bumped in to my far share of Shinobi young buck and they were definitely not thugs and extremely almost stupidly loyal". Everyone was suspicious now the Killers were worried. "Still it's not my business just wanted to see who Naruto Uzumaki was. Sorry for your loss". He looked at his friend. "Shame no one had his back lets go". The other person grinned and nodded and followed him to the door. Jiraiya didn't like what he heard but didn't know what to say. All he could do was mourn the lost he brought upon himself and hope one day Naruto's sprite could forgive him. "Naruto I'm so sorry my son". He thought to himself in tears.

That night Naruto's apartment was buried down taking most of the buildings in the area with it. Tsunade in her anger tore Konoha apart. Looking for the suspects 17 of Naruto's worst assaulter were sent to T for a week. Jiraiya joined in on everything single one of them guilty or not they had it coming.

End of flashback. The Hospital.

"And that's everything can I fucking go now?". Jiraiya asked annoyed to Shizune his wrists had bandages on them from his latest attempt. "Sorry Jiraiya-Sama but we still need to continue our sessions. Tsunade-Sama's order's". She informed he grunted in anger. "Tsunade what dose she know? I'm perfectly fine". Jiraiya argued. "You tried to kill yourself again Jiraiya". Shizune returned Jiraiya shrugged. "And I was perfectly fine with it". He said pulling out a flask taking a drink. "See I'm just an alcoholic now just like her and she's the world's greatest doctor. So that means I'm healing right or should I also gamble everything I have away to?". He asked sarcastically Shizune frowned sadly.

"Let's talk about the nightmare's next you said the worst one was the night you discovered Danzo's Journal". She said trying to change the subject Jiraiya shrugged. "They're all bad I've had them ever since Naruto fell off that cliff". Jiraiya informed taking a hard chug. "Their all basically the same so why bother?". Shizune continued frowning. "I have patients Jiraiya you don't so we can play this game for a while". Shizune said calling him out Jiraiya was annoyed. "Therapy fucking pseudoscience when Samurai kill themselves. Everyone knows it's because they fucked up. They don't ask them about their feelings on it. It's just getting the job done". Shizune glared abit. "There is far more to Seppuku then that Jiraiya and therapy isn't a pseudoscience. I've help countless Shinobi over the years with worse stories then yours". Shizune countered Jiraiya shrugged. "Whatever fine ya nosey bitch I'll tell you. Brace yourself it's a bad one". He slurred out angrily.

The nightmare.

Jiraiya was running over to the cliff to find Naruto standing there covered in blood. "Naruto". He shouted out making him turn Naruto had tears of blood in his eyes. "Why did you abandon me Jiraiya. Why did you run away?". Naruto asked Jiraiya broke down. "I was forced to leave you Naruto I'm so sorry you wouldn't be this way if I was there. I loved you like a son". Jiraiya said in tears he heard Naruto laughing at him. "Some father you are abandoning your own son the moment Hiruzen said go. You thought great you can continue spying on girls without me in the way didn't ya? You never cared about me it was all about the pussy you couldn't get with you". Jiraiya looked at him sadly he hugged Naruto crying. "No it wasn't all I wanted to be was your father. You were all that mattered Naruto I swear". Jiraiya cried out hugging Naruto tightly.

"Then why did you kill me?". Jiraiya all of a sudden looked do and noticed he stabbed Naruto his blood was all over Jiraiya's hands. "No". He whispered looking up to see a rotting and bloated water logged Naruto smiling with rotting teeth at him. "You couldn't even fish me out of the water. I'm still out there waiting for you like always". His rotting boney fingers reached out and grabbed Jiraiya's jacket. "Let's go find me shall we?". The corpse asked as he pulled Jiraiya off the cliff with him. Jiraiya screamed on the way down in to the darkness. Jiraiya then found himself in a casket. He couldn't move he looked up and saw Minato and Kushina staring angrily at him silently. Behind them was an evil smiling Hiruzen. "I trusted you Jiraiya we trusted you with him. First you weren't around to help us now you kill our son you bastard". Minato said angrily Jiraiya couldn't speak. "Sure I wasn't always around Jiraiya but at least I didn't kill him". Hiruzen said with a red eyed chuckle.

"You were my most disappointing student you know. At least Orochimaru was honest about being a bastard". Jiraiya glared angrily at his dead Sensai. "So what were you planning to kill me to Jiraiya after all I'm a monster just like Naruto". Kushina said angrily Jiraiya was in tears. "You were my big brother Jiraiya. Kushina loved you like family then you killed our son. I'm waiting for you in hell Jiraiya. So you better fucking die soon bastard". Minato glared hard as maggots crawled out of his skin while Kushina's flesh started peeling. Jiraiya watching horrified as the turned to corpse. "Doesn't matter anyway in the end I won". He heard the oh so familiar voice of his old teammate standing over him. "I have to thank you Jiraiya-Kun". He started with a sickening grin holding Naruto's severed head the eyes were blinking and staring at him. "He'll need a few bandages but I'll make him good as new. I can't wait reunite him with Konoha". Jiraiya was petrified as Kushina and Minato started barring him alive.

Konoha.

Jiraiya gasped for air as he saw the village on fire. Getting up he saw bodies on the street people impaled on pikes women and children slaughtered by the thousand. "Stop please AAAAAHHHHHHH". Jiraiya heard he recognized it as Sakura running at top speed to try and stop whatever was happening he froze. "My god". Corpses with horrified looks on their face where everywhere Iruka Teuchi Ino Ayame Tsunade Shizune Sasuke Konohamaru Kakashi everyone he knew laid dead torn to pieces. Sakura was forced on a table she was being raped from behind by a figure in black. "Don't respect boundaries that's what Jiraiya taught me. Hahaha". The demon laughed. "STOP IT". Jiraiya shouted the demon turned and smiled with a red eyed glare and sharp teeth. "Hello Jiraiya I'm back". It was Naruto Jiraiya was shocked and terrified. "Naruto no please stop it. Leave her alone". Jiraiya begged tears in his eyes as snakes wrapped around him. He watched Naruto snap Sakura's neck after finishing sighing satisfied. He watched as Naruto bite a chunk out of her neck he wanted to vomit as Naruto swallowed the bloody meat.

"You know Jiraiya I have to thank you being a demon is fun. Hahaha". Naruto laughed out his voice was echoing and demonic yet broken. "I should have done this years ago I even finally got my Sakura-Chan. All thanks to you and my new father". Orochimaru appeared as a snake like forked tongue came hissing out of Naruto's mouth. "He is my finest creation wouldn't you agree Jiraiya or should I say ours?". Orochimaru asked with sick glee Jiraiya's heart shattered. "Now then time to return the favour". Naruto said walking over to Jiraiya his mouth was salivating as his jaw opened wider then humanly possible. "Naruto please fight it please this isn't you I'm sorry". Jiraiya shouted crying as Orochimaru laughed Naruto grabbed Jiraiya's head the last thing he'd see was the inside Naruto's mouth and hear the cracking sound of his bones and his owe screaming.

Jiraiya's appartment

Jiraiya woke up screaming he was covered in sweat he was nothing but skin and bone now. Do to his new his strict diet of opium and alcohol he had passed out on the floor again. It was wet with sweat and urine. He started shivering coming down from the product in the foetal position. "Cccccccan't llllet it happpppppen. Nnnneeed to stop it Naruto I'm ssso sssssorry". He stuttered out in tears the drugs broke him. He took it as a version of the future like the elder toad would have he saw his pipe and reached out. "Nnnnnnno can't have to be sober". He started lighting it unable to control himself he snapped the pipe in half angrily trying to stop him self. Only to pick up the broken piece and lite it the pipe was empty and he threw it across the room. He noticed a light on his desk was on he blamed the drug for forgetting then noticed something on the desk. Shaking and sick he crawled over to the desk on to his chair dry heaving the hole time. He recognized the hand writing it was Danzo's surprising him. Beside it was a weasel ANBU mask he thought of Itachi and was confused.

Opening it up his heart sank with each page he read was a list of evil. Local assassinations. Braking innocent people with the kind of tortures that would make Ibiki and Anko sick. Murders and kidnappings of women and children for Root breeding and training programs. "Ssssick ffffucker". Jiraiya said to high weak to actually be angry it was actually giving him a headache to try. Some pages were missing he wondered about them. He noticed each page was dated if he wasn't so messed up, he'd realize those pages would have been dated during the Uchiha massacre. Nearly at the end his vary being collapsed the page that stopped him. The thing that would brake him for years to come was this page a confession of Danzo using a Sharingan he apparently had. Along with plenty of near irrefutable yet false findings on Naruto's seal a lie mixed with truth. The eye was used to suddenly manipulate but not straight up possess. Which explained why he created the findings. He's reasoning was Naruto's treatment in the village would eventually lead to a mental and murderous brake down. Even Danzo had his doubts but wasn't going to gamble on it. Jiraiya's own reports on Naruto freaking out under the Kyuubi charka was used to Justify it. "Nnnnoo oh God no". Jiraiya said drool going down his mouth as he passed out falling of his chair.

Shizune's office.

Shizune tried not to cry at the image of Naruto being that monster in Jiraiya's dream. "That was the day you had your stroke and you don't actually know where it came from?". Shizune asked surprised holding in her sadnesses still shedding tears regardless Jiraiya nodded. "I've dealt with the bastard long enough to know his hand writing. He was also more worried as time went on like he lost something important and incriminating. When I talked to Itachi he had no idea Danzo had a journal". Jiraiya said taking a swig.

"I suppose it was for his successor so I just figured one of his guy's some how managed to turn traitor and wanted a way out. When we stormed his base Ino found info about an agent he was hunting down who vanished. So I just assumed and didn't care enough to investigate. Itachi spying for me was common knowledge to the Root higher ups. Plus that missing Shinobi was Danzo's personal bodyguard Aburame Torune". He explained Shizune nodded. "The original plan was to spread the word that Naruto was doing solos before Wave. We had some of his "friends" henge in to him to spread the word and to not worry his actual friends but no one could pull it off". Jiraiya said sadly.

"Naruto had a presents about him like Minato did. You just knew it was him or not so that plan was scrapped before it began. It wouldn't have worked on Naruto's family. Besides everyone was getting tired of being attacked by the villagers when they tried. Because of the idiot Choji Tsunade had people asking for his head, when he attacked a mob after Naruto while he was still hinged". A tear went down Jiraiya's eye. "I had to violently step in it was the first and only time I punched Tsunade for getting in the way". Jiraiya said ashamed about Tsunade and nothing else Shizune nodded she was terrified of Jiraiya that day.

"Anyway I figured simply break Akasuki apart Instead Itachi and Kisame were the only ones hunting him. So the rest of Akasuki wasn't going to bother with Naruto. Before Danzo told everyone about how Naruto really died. I figured use the fuckers own words to stop Akasuki. We still needed to prepare before storming Danzo's base and kept everything we needed to convict him. So I gave the Journal and my sealing notes to Itachi. To be destroyed later to prevent other Jinchuuriki from suffering. I mean who'd believe a bunch of terrorists. When it came to a Jinchuuriki's death right?". Shizune was surprised Jiraiya chuckled. "All it did was cause more problems for us regardless Orochimaru bought the information on the Uchiha massacre, in an attempted to get Sasuke back. While everyone involved except for Sasuke at the time knew it wasn't Naruto's body buried in that grave. So the fear everyone still has of Orochimaru bringing him back is still vary much real. My dream didn't help it actually keeps a good chunk of them up at night". Jiraiya said taking another swig Ayame took the flask taking one of her own trying to erase the image of an evil undead Naruto from her head, as she listened to the final report Jiraiya got from Itachi.

Flashback Amikage Tower. Three weeks before Danzo's capture.

The eight Akasuki members Pain Konon Itachi Kisame Deidara Hidan Kakuzu Zetsu and newest member Tobi were in a meeting. It was the very first time all the members gathered face to face in years especially in their "leaders" headquarters. "So what's this meeting about big boss leader man-Sama-Sempi?". Tobi asked goofily embarrassing his partner Pain with his usual calm demeanour looked at him. "Something has been brought to my attention involving our mission and subsequent goal". Pain informed Tobi was silently suspicious as Itachi stared him down. "First of all our target Uzumaki Naruto was assassinated by his own village". He informed the Akasuki members didn't seem to care.

"Oh no that means you have to wait for the Kyuubi to reform right?". Tobi asked acting scared. Inwardly Obito was pissed. When Zetsu told him about Naruto's death while spying on Konoha he was planning to make Danzo and Konoha pay for it. Already implanting subtle ideas in Danzo's mind waiting for the right moment. Because of Danzo it would take years possibly unneeded decades for the Kyuubi to reform. He at least hoped the seal on Naruto didn't kill the beast till he knew for sure he could still use the other Jinchuuriki and members as weapons. "I don't intend to bother waiting neither is Kisame". Kisame nodded surprising everyone except Pain and Konan as Itachi pulled out a file. "What the fuck is that for?". Hidan asked annoyed Itachi opened it up. "This was taken from Jiraiya of the Sannin". He started passing it around for the others to read. "Interesting what is it?". Kakuzu asked till he read the last line and was shocked. "As Kakuzu-San just read the seal is specific for Jinchuuriki. The reason why Kisame and I were in charge of Naruto was because we could bring him back with no life threatening injuries". He said sighing and a sad ashamed look dropping his long and heartbreaking act.

"This seal was made so the parts of the original seals design were improved. Naruto dying of anything unnatural would result in the permanent death of his tenant. If not centuries worth of waiting to reform and I highly doubt Kakuzu and Hidan are willing to wait that long while we all die of old age". Itachi said while Hidan and Kakuzu nodded in agreement. "Since he was indeed murdered I'm assuming you can drew the proper conclusions". The other members looked at each other Tobi was unusually quiet. "Is it possible to dig him up and have Orochimaru bring him back for extraction?". Black Zetsu suggested Kakuzu shook his head. "According to these notes we might be able to bring back Uzumaki but not his tenet with him. Any Kyuubi chakra he might bring back won't be enough. I also highly doubt Orochimaru will help and I don't trust him even if he agreed to it anyway". Kakuzu said Pain and the others nodded. "Even if we did it's a waste of time. The Naruto buried in Konoha is a fake Naruto's real body was destroyed. They even erased all traces of his DNA. From blood to hair samples things Orochimaru would need". Itachi said half lying since Naruto's body was gone where no one knew he prayed not in Orochimaru's hands. "So what now if this ultimate goal you forced us to join in on isn't happening where dose that leave us?". Deidara asked annoyed Pain looked at Tobi with contempt. "The entire reason Akasuki was formed was to capture the tailed beasts to enforce an era of peace". Pain started surprising some Akasuki and angering Tobi.

"So it's not to wage war and fill our pockets?". Kakuzu asked angrily Pain shook his head. "The plan was to use the combination of all the tailed beasts as an ultimate threat to the world. We were going to commit a an unmistakeable trail of distraction to show the Shinobi world one thing. That we are the ultimate power here no war no fighting only cooperation. A true era of peace even if it is under the threat of total annihilation if not followed". Pain explained it angered Hidan. "You had me waste my fucking time doing the exact opposite to Jashin-Sama's teachings?". He exclaimed Pain simply nodded. "I'm not even the true leader of Akasuki". Pain said truthfully shocking the other members.

"I was merely a pawn wasn't I Madara?". Pain asked looking at Tobi surprising the others more as they looked at the silent Orange masked wearing fool. "Madara The Madara?". Kakuzu asked moving back with the others Kisame Pain Konan and Itachi remained. "So Nagato you've lost sight of our goal then?". Tobi asked his voice changed shocking Deidara Pain glared. "The goal is dead with out it your just an annoyance with delusions of grandeur". Pain countered Madara chuckled. "Says the false god do you really think those are your real eyes boy?". Pain was visibly shocked at hearing that.

"Everything you are is owed to me Nagato. You owe me everything all of you do". The others glared at Obito Zetsu was silent. "You can't survive out there with out Akasuki. If what Itachi says is true it doesn't matter we can still make it work. If we gather the surviving Jinchuuriki we can destroy the other villages. We can be the new kings and queen of this world". Obito said trying to convince them the other members glared harder. "You've done nothing but manipulate things from the back ground for years you cowered. I should have attacked the day I met you in Kiri". Kisame said angrily Obito chuckled. "Sacrifice's needed to be made for the greater good Kisame you know that better then anyone". Kisame was angrier as Obito looked at Pain. "Isn't that right Uzumaki?". Itachi and Kisame were shocked as Pain glared.

"Each and everyone of you needs Akasuki and Akasuki needs you. We can and will succeed money power peace war anything and everything can all be yours. We can stand not as criminals or mercenaries but as leaders but I warn you this is your one and only chance". The others were tired of this garbage and moved back. "I see so you've chosen death then". Obito said Pain launched his hand forward. "Ultimately push". Pain shouted the table and Obito's chair flew away and through Obito but he remained unmoving surprising them.

"Impossible". Pain said as Obito stood up a void appeared and Pain's power was sent back to them. Pain grabbed Konan while Itachi latched on to Kisame who slammed Samahada in to the ground keeping them in place if only barley. "The power of a god is lacking boy". Obito said as he attacked Obito moved towards Konan but Kisame brought down Samahada forcing Obito to faze through it and her. "Amaterasu". Itachi shouted as blood went down his eye but the fire didn't effect him. "Should we jump in?". Deidara asked Kakuzu grunted. "Let them fight I have more important things to do". He explained running out Hidan was angry at hearing that. "He's probably going to raid that fucking safe he jerks off in". Hidan commented watching the fight. "Screw it Madara will be a glorious sacrifice to Jashin". He shouted running in to the fight Deidara glared at Itachi. "I'll wait it out then Itachi will finally be mine I'll show him the true meaning of art. Besides I want to see the look on his face when I tell him a secret of my own". Diedara thought with a grin before leaving.

Obito moved back from Kisame knocking him back as Itachi charged with the six paths of Pains before being forced to move way from Hidan's reckless attacks. "Die you cocksucker". Hidan shouted. swinging his scythe madly and angrily from left to right up and down as it fazed through Obito. "Fucking annoying pussy bullshit ability. FUCKING DIE WHEN I CUT YOU". Hidan ordered angrily Obito removed his tanto stabbing Hidan in the chest Hidan head butted him finally getting a hit in cracking the mask. It distracted Obito enough to get high kick from Kisame shattering it completely. "You bastard". Obito said angrily he moved in cutting Hidan in two. "Fucking ouch". Hidan shouted angrily on the ground he had to grab his legs and crawl away to find Kakuzu. "I'll be back you fucker". Hidan shouted crawling away. The others finally cornered Obito. "So that's what you look like". Kisame said Obito glared as Itachi struck they locked swords as Itachi got close enough to see his face and was internally surprised.

"Obito?". He asked his angry thought long dead cousin. "It is you". Itachi stated visibly angry Obito pushed Itachi away. "Die". Obito shouted swinging his blade Itachi jumped back to the others. Obito shot some stored Amaterasu flames at them. Itachi activated a susanoo rib cage to cover them. In the cover Konan summoned a thousand papers bombs sending them to Obito the explosion's destroyed the top half of the tower. "I guess it's a good thing we evacuated the staff before this". Pain commented Konan nodded before Itachi pushed her away saving her from a stab to the back. Itachi turned for a spin kick that Obito blocked bring in his tanto to stab Itachi before Kisame blocked it with Samahada. "Thanks". Itachi said as the four Akasuki and five other paths stood together against Obito.

The Akasuki Safe.

After finishing the twelve combinations turning all ten locks and inserting his personal copy of Pains key. Kakuzu finally opened the safe forty billion ryo in cash surrounded by billions more in gold diamonds and jewellery company shares artifacts to be sold. From bounty's missions and theft's it was the most beautiful thing Kakuzu had ever seen. All five of his hearts pumped faster at the sight. He knew how much of everything was in the safe. He'd count it whenever he had the chance for fun as much as business. "Finally it's all mine". He said greedily as he immediately got his collection of empty scrolls and got to work sealing millions at a time.

Back to the fight.

Obito dodged a back stab from the Asura Pain then back flipping over the Animal path. He was running low on Chakra even with his reserves fighting these four was difficult. "Enough of this". Obito said summoning a vortex to blast some of Konan's stored explosion at a wall destroying it. Konan was worried as the wall came down because behind it was her partner and best friend. The real Nagato Obito launched another blast at him. "Nagato". Konan shouted as Kisame jumped in front of Nagato blocking the blast with Samahada unfortunately the harness Nagato was in collapsed sending both to the ground. With no focused Chakra running through them all six Pain's fell to the ground. Obito needed Nagato dead before anyone else he needed the Rinnegan. Itachi tried to cover Nagato with Susanoo while Konan made another huge wall off paperbombs.

Obito fazed through it all he reached Nagato Kunai in hand as Kisame pulled Nagato away jumping back. While Konan and Itachi fought Obito back. "Kisame thank…you". Nagato said weakly coughing. "Shut up and conserve your strength. I don't care what you are god or not. It pisses that bastard off that you're alive so stay that way". Kisame ordered Nagato nodded Konan and Itachi sized up Obito he was getting weaker. "What was all this for Obito? Rin? Kakashi told me what happened". Itachi asked Obito glared. "I loved her boy but the goal was always for peace nothing more". Obito explained angrily Itachi glared Obito then grinned. "Don't give me that look Itachi. We're the same tools in someone else's scheme you were Danzo's and I was Madara's. Hell we're basically like that Yahiko corpse puppet Nagato is using. The only difference is I succeeded Madara were you three continue being used". Itachi visibly shook angrily along with Nagato and Konan as Obito chuckled. "All your foolish little brother did was follow your advice. Naruto's dead because of you and as for you're plan for him. It's as in vain as the goal is now". Itachi was shocked Black Zetsu was angry at hearing that as Obito grinned. "Sasuke knows Itachi he knows the truth behind the massacre. He doesn't care anymore about you about them not even about himself. Because of you he's a broken dog of Konoha". Itachi didn't have to see Obito's eye to know he was telling the truth. "How?". Itachi demanded weakly Obito shrugged nonchalantly.

"That journal of Danzo's I'm assuming some pages are missing". Itachi nodded then caught on. "Not even Hiruzen wrote it in the Hokage's ledger you're lying". Itachi shouted Obito grinned. "Danzo himself told me I have a plan for him don't you worry about that. He'll be an other tool to brake a village of filth like Yagura". Kisame glared angrily at Obito sneering Obito ignored him. "Whoever delivered the book sold Orochimaru the information. Sasuke knows everything and his so mentally ruined he doesn't care about revenge anymore. Win or lose my friend Sasuke isn't going to bring honour back to the Uchiha. Even that pink haired bitch on his team and Kakashi disowned him. He has nothing not even the old compound now". Itachi felt his heart shatter his lungs were burning again and his vision blurry. His personal mission a failure. "One missing piece destroyed years of work and sacrifice. Naruto was to important to lose that little bastard could have saved our world his sacrifice. We all could have had our own personal Shangri-La". Obito said with a frown he has given up and it broke his heart.

"You know Itachi our clan it wasn't that good it never was. If anything the massacre was a long time coming for those bastards". He said with an uncaring grin. "Nothing no matter how good it was it was never good enough for them and you know it. That's why you did it, it's why you killed the clan by my side. Because you knew all they did was bitch and betray everyone that loves them just like Sasuke. Just like you". Itachi glared harder as he laughed. "Like you I originally didn't believe in the goal. I thought Madara was just a tired half dead old man, still pissy about his loss to Hashirama. Even if he did save me I knew he was nuts I mean peace through war and chaos laughable right?". The four listened in Nagato was ashamed. "So I used Madara he was a psychopath but a strong and intelligent one. I figured wait till I'm good and healthy then escape till then I'd read his Jutsu scrolls and learn to master my Sharingan. So when I returned to Konoha I'd be able to protect my friends and family. This time like a true Konoha Proud like a true Hokage". He rubbed his hand over his missing eye tiredly he felt like a fool back then.

"Figured out his plans and why he needed the poor bastards known as Jinchuuriki. Owing him my life or not I refused to sacrifice any living breathing person for even a peaceful world". He chuckled removing his robes showing the white scared up side of his body. "That all changed in one night. When I finally thought I was getting strong enough to escape, I heard Rin was kidnapped by Kiri and Kakashi was going after her. So still vary much broken being held together by Hashirama's cells and a white Zetsu. I crawled my crippled ass across the cold cobblestone floors then through the mud and dirt while Madara. The Uchiha patriarch himself shouted to stop me". He grinned sadly.

"I didn't care my best friend the one person I trusted with everything I care about, Rin including and Rin the woman I love were in danger. Purpose and love Itachi the same purpose I gave to the goal because I love the world was originally theirs to keep. I was In pain I was weak and couldn't even feel my legs tell they started ripping and cracking. I pushed through it found my energy despite the pain I stood and ran as fast as possible. I was so close saving them only to find Kakashi's hand rammed in to Rin's chest through her back. I failed Rin everything I thought was heroic back then was a mistake". Obito explained with a sad frown. "I know Rin commented suicide I know her reason's to. It destroyed me Kiri took my heart while Kakashi killed it for good". Obito said sadly then grinned at Itachi.

"I couldn't even be a hero in death either you must have heard the stories about weak little Obito the clan bastard. About how I betrayed my clan's entire being for lessers, or how Kakashi stole my eye when the little weakling stupidly got himself killed". Itachi looked at Obito then nodded as he chuckled. "I was bastardized in my own Clan for caring for others. Wanting to be Hokage to help my people and not just the Clan. My own parents disowned my spirit and when Kakashi killed Rin he was considered a true Shinobi. Even to them". He shook his head in amusement remembering the looks and his mom and dads faces when he removed his mask. "Hearing those fuckers beg and plead when I cut them open was the highlight of that night. Still it was unfortunate about my grandmother but as you know sacrifices must be made for the great good and all". He said with a shrug pissing Itachi off even more.

"Nothing matters Itachi the Uchiha Kirigakure Nagato you me nothing but the goal. Years of planning gone straight to shit because of a gimpy little parasites paranoia. Hell I actually feel sorry for the Kyuubi boy you know. His friends killing him a village he did nothing but protect hating him. Akasuki an organization his own cousin help creat hunting him. While both he and Konan were his godfathers students. His father's student killing his parents. Then there's you his former guardian his mothers godson convincing his best friend to turn traitor and murder him". He said with a grin as if it was all a joke angering his cousin and Nagato. "And it all started with me and Minato. Sacrificing his baby boy to a life of suffering because the idiot believed Konoha was smart. After I attacked him on his birthday". He chuckled Itachi had enough. "SUSANOO". Itachi shouted angrily he was going to butcher Obito who grinned activating his own. "We have to go". Konan shouted she used paper to grab Yahiko's body as Kisame ran carrying Nagato joining her.

The hallway.

Hidan was still crawling to the safe he had to stuff some of his organs in to his pockets. "For fuck sake why is that fucking safe at the other end of the tower?". He asked getting a little woozy he heard people running turning he saw Kisame and Konan running. "Kisame my old buddy do you mind giving me a HAND!!!!!". Kisame grabbed his collar and threw him down the hall before running up the stairs. "THANK YOU". Hidan shouted as he went flying down the hall in to the safe still holding his legs. Kakazu was nearly 10 billion ninety-nine million in having the time of his life till Hidan went flying in getting blood all over his money. "Hey Kakuzu I could use some stitches". Kakazu angrily grabbed Hidan throwing him back out of the safe.

"Fucker I need your help dammit. I want another go at Madara". Hidan shouted angrily crawling back in. "I don't care we're not partners anymore and I need this safe empty". Kakuzu said sealing faster as he heard explosions till he smelled smoke his eyes widened horrified at the one true sin. Hidan grinning just lite a skid of money on fire with a lighter. Fifty million Ryo burning right in front of him because of that cold hearted bastard. "HIDAN". He yelled angrily Hidan glared rolling to another skid lighter in hand. "My legs or your money". Hidan threatened Kakuzu glared angrily then nodded. "Fine do you have everything?". Hidan checked his pockets he was missing a kidney. "Dammit I most have lost it when Kisame tossed me can you get it?". Kakazu glared till Hidan flicked his lighter. "Dammit". He shouted running out of the safe Hidan grinned victoriously till he noticed something and his eyes widened in shock.

With Obito and Itachi.

Sasanoo's clashed swords as Ami Shinobi evacuated civilians. The two stood there glaring at each other as the Susanoo's clashed destroying buildings. Kisame Nagato and Konan watched on a far roof. "Need…to help..Itachi". Nagato said weakly loosing Kisame's grip on him he crossed he crippled legs and forced. "Nagato you need the harness to help you". Konan said worried Nagato grinned at her closing his eyes and fell silent. Yahiko stood up. "Once we're done Konan Yahiko should be put to rest. His fight has long since been over". The strongest of the pains said Zetsu still watching noticed the other five stand up and all but one ran out. The Human path stopped to glare at Zetsu. "So you were helping him this hole time". He accused the white Zetsu was worried the black wasn't bothered. "We were used same as you Nagato my counterpart was created by Madara. I however was simply trying to survive we were simply tools like the rest of Akasuki. We started to gain independence after the bastard died. You want Obito dead do it". Black Zetsu said lying the hole time his white half was internally confused but nodded backing it. "He well die Zetsu till then this path is going to keep you company. One wrong move and your soul is mine". Black nodded white was nervous as they continued watching.

The fight.

Itachi's Susanoo sword was cracking he had to move to dodge a giant Shuriken that pieced through its chest. He barely escaped being hit his Susanoo was braking down his vision was getting worse he couldn't follow Obito's strikes. "Come on I can't let him win". Itachi thought his heart was pounding his chest hurt he was basically blind but he ignored it.

"ITACHI".

"OBITO".

The two shouted physically moving with the Susanoo's to strike Itachi's sword shattered Obito grinned at that continuing to push his drill forward. "Ultimately Push". They heard as Obito was pushed over but held his ground. Till an Ox and Rhino smashed in to him from back to front. "Bastard". Obito shouted as a centipede wrapped around is Susanoo holding there a multi-headed dog bit the neck and arms of his ultimate weapon.

"Itachi". The Animal path shouted catching him as he fell sideways. "Thanks...I have to continue". Itachi said his breathing was raspy and his lungs were burning. "Take a brake it's my turn". The Animal path ordered summoning everything at its disposal. "Nagato…..". Itachi gasped out his health was failing him. "Hold still". The Naraka path ordered pressing a chakra infused hand to his chest. Itachi felt the burning subside feeling a little better. Across the village Nagato was coughing but remained focused. "Nagato please be ok". Konan said tearfully to her adoptive brother Kisame was getting annoyed. "Those papers of yours do they work in the rain?". He asked she nodded. "It's harder in this weather but yes". Kisame nodded. "Can you gather enough water to make a pool?". She nodded and was already getting started.

Nagato and Itachi heard screaming the debris from Obito fighting the summons fell over a group of people. "Help us Pain-Sama". A civilian child cried out terrified.

"Ultimately pull".

"Susanoo".

The Deva path and Itachi shouted as a giant orange hand and an unseen force stopped them from crushing the people. The concrete and steal in the air was launched in to Obito cracking the chest. While the hand full of the same slapped it in to the rival Susanoo's head taking it off before braking apart. "Dammit". Obito shouted he was getting weaker. "Water Release: Exploding Water Colliding Wave". A gigantic wave flew down a paper slide mixed in with Konan's paper bombs hitting the Susunoo knocking it over. While explosions forther damaged it. Obito noticed stupid looking clay figurines falling from the sky. "Deidara". Obito angrily shouted as they exploded all over the Susanoo and also cleared the way for civilians to evacuate. "Take that you irritating bastard". Deidara said with a grin flying off. The giant drill-becked bird landed on it and drilled in to the chest when it went through Obito vanished back to the meeting room.

Nagato was getting weaker. "Where's your Preta Path? You can take my Chakra". Konan offered Nagato shook his head anyone else she but not his sister. "Take mine". Kisame ordered shocking them to the point Nagato nearly broke focus. "Samahada calls dibs on a good chunk of it but I got plenty to spare. I want that bastard dead". Kisame explained angrily the Preta Path appeared. "Thank you". Nagato himself said as the path grabbed Kisame's arm absorbing his energy Kisame did have enough with interest. Still he was getting tired. "Zetsu I need help". Obito said tired he wasted to much Chakra human looked at Zetsu who shrugged getting a glare from Obito as he dodged Kisame's sword.

"Maybe we should help him he is Madara-Sama's successor after all". White Zetsu said quietly black Zetsu was silent. "Everything I've built all my planning for nothing. Having to listen to that fool Madara the wars I've started. The seeds of hatred I've spent centuries nurturing for one dead brat to ruin it all. I'm so sorry mother". Black Zetsu thought sadly and angrily looking at Obito with distain his white half was confused. "I've spent spent eighteen years glued to this idiot. So that bastard Obito could be useful. Now it's completely pointless. If it takes another couple of centuries then I'll wait alone". The fighting stopped for a moment as everyone heard white Zetsu screaming as black Zetsu started absorbing him.

"Much better". The now only black Zetsu said. "Obito your usefulness has ended". Zetsu said said Obito glared hard as they saw the grin on Zetsu. "And by the way Madara planned for Rin to die. She was a tool like you are". He confessed shocking Obito he felt his entire being collapse to Zetsu's petty glee. The remaining Akasuki were ready to attack when black Zetsu went through the floor escaping. They looked at the stunned Obito. "It was all a lie?". He asked him self angrily looking at everyone then chuckled humourlessly. "Obito". Itachi said weakly but still full of hate removing a Kunai. Obito felt weak completely destroyed he looked at everyone a fazed away. Kisame and Itachi collapsed with the Pain's as Konan brought Nagato down.

The Safe.

"The fucking true amulet of Jashin why didn't you tell me?". Hidan shouted angrily sealing money with Kakazu as repayment after examining a certain piece of Jewellery. "How was I supposed to know it was your imaginary friends? All I knew was that it was high quality silver. A thousand and it's all yours". Kakuzu retorted annoyed Hidan stopped glaring Kakuzu now nearly emptied the safe just ten billion three million left. "Imaginary? You call the great Jashin Imagenary?". Hidan asked removing scythe Kakuzu glared. "I put you back together Hidan I can tare you apart if you don't continue sealing". Kakuzu threatened Hidan glared he wasn't backing down. "I'm sick of your greed you heathen and I'm tired of your blasphemy". Hidan said angering Kakuzu.

"And I'm tired of hearing about your damn god. Real or not Hidan he's not here right now with money. So I'm not following him". Kakuzu shouted as Obito appeared with a look the remaining money vanished with him in to a void. "MY MONEY". Kakazu shouted angrily as Hidan grinned. "Get out of my way". Kakuzu shouted pushing Hidan he needed to escape. "Kakuzu". He heard the main Pain was standing there. "How much?". Kakuzu was silent. "The greedy fucker nearly took everything this ones got I don't know ten million". Hidan informed Kakazu glared Pain nodded ripping Kakuzu fully loaded Akasuki robe off. "You may take that one and this then you my go". Pain said handing him a scroll with forty million in it. Fucking pockets change compared to what he had a second ago.

"Well I'm happy bye you fucker". Hidan said tossing him his scroll walking out with the real treasure. Till Kakuzu's hand stretched out grabbing the amulet and threw it through a window. An angry Hidan swan diving through it and after the amulet. "One day Hidan I don't care what I have to do I will kill you". Kakuzu promised storming out Pain looked at the scrolls and sighed taking three of them the rest would be to repair his village. Tossing one behind him it was caught by someone. "So how did you do it?". Pain asked. "When you want something we get it". A woman said though in the shadows he knew she was grinning. "I see Ami could use someone like you". He offered the woman chuckled. "I prefer freelance it pays far better then village loyalty. You have my card so don't hesitate to call". Pain nodded in understanding this person was more Akasuki then anything. "Vary well then take your pay and go". Pain order he was internally worried about the figure who already left. His sensory rain didn't even pick her up and all he knew about her was a note she left in the real Nagato's personal chamber. Hundred million for a change of perspective. "Either way whoever she was it was enlightening". Nagato thought he would keep this secret.

The meeting room.

Konan had some medicine made for Itachi as Ami Shinobi guarded the room. "So what are you going to do know?". Konan asked Kisame frowned. "I'm heading back to Kiri after I stop by an Oto base. Theirs someone there I want to get". Kisame informed. "Orochimaru?". Itachi asked Kisame shock his head he'd be a bonus but I'm after someone else". Kisame informed getting their attention. "Someone in his circle heard about the Uzumaki kid. Sent me a message telling me Suigetsu Hōzuki is trapped in one of the bastards labs. His brother was a friend of mine". He explained drinking some Saki they nodded.

"After that maybe I'll join the war see if I can help Yagura or kill him either way doesn't matter". Itachi nodded in understanding. "You might as well take these then". Pain said handing scrolls Kisame was shocked at the number written on them. "Is Kakuzu around?". Itachi asked forcing his eyes to read the scroll. "I just kicked him out why?". Nagato asked. "I need to disappear for a while Kakuzu may be able to help. With this he can't say no". Nagato looked at him with sympathy. "You could stay here". He offered Itachi shook his head. "I'd prefer someplace a little dryer no offence". Nagato and Konan nodded and chuckled. Saying their final good byes and getting some extra medicine from Konan Itachi and Kisame left The Kage's Tower.

Outside Amigakure.

Itachi Kisame and Kakuzu were walking together Hidan despaired and Kakuzu was still fuming. "All that work only for pocket change". He mumbled angrily Kisame and Itachi grinned tiredly with a billion a pop. "Itachi". The three grunted and turned it was Deidara. "Good to see you alive". Deidara said with a grin Itachi looked at him tiredly. "I've had a vary long day what do you want Deidara?". Itachi asked he glared. "I'm here to finally make my dream come true and kill you for your disrespect". He declared angrily Kisame and Kakazu looked at each other and moved back Itachi stood there.

"Fine". Itachi said charging Deidara who dodged effortlessly jumping back. "Is that the best you got?". Deidara asked Itachi glared and went for a stab. Deidara jumped on a clay Bird dropping bombs on Itachi who barely dodged getting launched back. "Take that bastard". Deidara mocked Itachi jumped up cutting the head off the bird making it crash. "Damn it". Deidara yelled after crashing getting up he glared at Itachi then grinned. "You know Itachi my man Sasori introduced me to some of his spy's back in the day". Deidara started Itachi raised an eyebrow. "If it's about Sasuke knowing about the massacre Obito told me". Deidara continued grinning. "Did he also tell you everyone knows now? That half of Konoha will be calling for Sasuke's head as a traitor for joining Oto?". Itachi's eyes widened in shock Deidara grinned. "You my man will officially be the last loyal Uchiha and I made sure that old bastard Oonki heard all about Konoha's missing pet Jinchuuriki. So of course he'll be planning a little war everything for nothing my friend. Depending on this fight I may even rejoin Iwa for a bit just to turn your precious village into a crater". Itachi's heart shattered at hearing that he was completely broken now.

"You can take that to hell you bastard". Deidara shouted sending explosives at Itachi who dodged angrily running up taking Deidara's arm and stabbing him. "Dammit". Deidara gasped out jumping back he tore off his robes to show his chest mouth shoving clay in to it. "I knew this was how it was going to end with us bastard. Now you will know ART IS AN EXPLOSION". Itachi's Kakuzu and Kisame's eyes widened. Deidara realize it in amazement he smiled happily finally appreciated as the explosion killed him the three and destroyed Amikage. His artistic greatest achievement.

Reality.

Deidara stood there smiling Kakuzu and Kisame looked at each other as Itachi walked up a cut Deidara's head off. "I would have thought you'd at least give him a sporting chance". Kakuzu commented Itachi was silent the Genjutsu was a mercy but revealing. "He did join the fight saving lives even for a moment it was enough for a swift death". Itachi said sheathing his sword. "Deidara has a huge bounty do you mind?". Itachi looked at him. "You can have him if you introduce me to someone of your friends. I need to disappear". Kakuzu nodded as a deal Kisame grinned.

"Well I guess we part ways here eh?". Kisame asked Itachi nodded he walked up to shack Kisame's hand. "Good luck old friend". Itachi said Kisame nodded and left. As he walked he felt something reaching in to his pocket he found Itachi's money scroll and chuckled. "I'm going to miss you to partner". He thought as he continued walking not even turning around to even wave as Itachi left with Kakuzu.

End of flashback. This is what happened this is what Jiraiya said.

"He found out Minato's bastard student Obito was head of Akasuki. Then killed Deidara after he told Itachi what's been happening in Konoha. Along with the bullshit with Iwa. Tsunade is planning to meet the cranky old bastard soon to discuss a peace agreement". Jiraiya said drunk now Shizune was heartbroken Kakashi was mentally destroyed when Jiraiya told him. "Did he tell you who Pain and Angel were and where they are at least?". Jiraiya shook his head. "Told me not to investigate them or Kisame. Told me if Danzo really had to die publicly then to seal his mouth shut. That was the last time I saw him before he completely vanished". Jiraiya said drinking.

"Told Tsunade to leave him alone to Sasuke was seen as an issue even if he did save Tsunade. So we all waited everyone who was there kept an eye on him. Instead of running off he asked Tsunade to keep his seal and routinely visited Naruto's grave to clean it". Jiraiya said drunker and chuckled. "Even Itachi went to see him and was ignored before disappearing for good". Jiraiya said with a frown he actually felt sorry for Itachi. "Ok that's enough for today Jiraiya you may go back to the Senju estate". Shizune said everything she heard today broke her heart. Jiraiya stood up tipsy and stumbled out leaving Shizune shivering tearfully the Naruto Jiraiya described stuck in her head.

Jiraiya's room.

Jiraiya as usual ignored everything his Hygiene the supper Tsunade left for him his pills everything. Getting undressed he searched his room under the mattress behind his book shelves his dresser and found nothing. With a sigh he opened a false floor panel and found his prize. A bottle of cheap liquor Tsunade always searched his room before leaving for work. Taking an unhealthy swig he looked at his bed and teared up like normal. A soft orange toad plushy on the bed it was Naruto's favourite before Jiraiya left. When he found it in his old apartment six years later he punched Hiruzen again in his office before leaving in Naruto's appartment. It remain safe for years till Jiraiya ran in to the apartment and grabbed it as the place was burning all around him. Sitting on the bed he started at it before drinking himself to sleep.

What's been going on since then. (Some of this will be explained upon later)

Iwagakure would have tried to kill Naruto if they knew who he was that much is true but figured the son of the Yellow Flash would most likely be Konohagakure's version of royalty. So they were shocked to say the least but saw an opportunity, for a takeover of their most hated enemy now that they were short a legacy and more importantly a Jinchuuraki.

In Kumogakure the Raikage hated but did respect the 4th Hokage even though he wouldn't admit it. Besides his adopted brother was a Jinchuuraki like the Raikage's brothers before him. So hearing such treatment of the 4th's son disappointed him greatly it gave him realization just how far Konoha as fallen.

Kirigakure was to busy fighting a civil war at the time to care much about it but still news travels fast. The rejoined Kisame filled in the details and helped the people of Kiri find their true enemy. Kisame was made a hero after battling Yagura saving the new Mizukage's life. Yagura has since been a depressed and broken individual giving Mei the tittle with out protest. Kirigakure has also sighed an alliance with Sunagakure in exchange for aid from Wave. The Kiri-Suna alliance along with sharing Wave boosted both to villages reputations Suna is now the third most powerful village under Kumogakure.

The land of Waves as Konohamaru predicted cut the trade agreement in half and double the cost of products. Only really hiring Konoha to do gourd duty on their caravans when they were passing through Fire country on the way to other nations. While still being protected by Suna and Kiri shinobi they were barely C-ranked missions when Wave used to pay for A-ranked. It was that or loss it altogether they also lost their discounts. In Wave itself a statue was built over the Great Naruto Bridge in memory of their fallen hero. The original Cell 7 was banished from stepping even a single foot in Wave territory under threat of total contact termination.

The Springs Daimyo Koyuki Kazahana gave all her countries missions Sunagakure fallowing word of the Naruto incident. She didn't outright Ban Konoha from Spring lands but she did use her old contacts in the filmmaking industry to put an embargo on movies going to Konoha. Costing the village a good bit of tourist revenue because they're one of the only places in fire country that can accommodate a movie theatre. Her hit book became a hit movie and mild propaganda film absolutely destroying Konoha's once good name.

Lady Shion recommended the Spring Diemyo to hire Suna along with Wave. She is cold a distant to Konoha but rumours have been spreading which originally started as a drunken bitter joke from Sakura. That Naruto's ghost most be telling her to do so. The idea terrified everyone in Konoha starting the legend of the Vengeful Ghostly Fox. Some even started taking pilgrimages to a Demons temple that was popular with foxes to lay offerings and pray for forgiveness. Lee Sakura Hinata Neji Tsunade Kakashi and Jiraiya were just some of them. Gaara Temari Konkaro Karin and the others just wanted to say goodbye to their best friend brother and cousin. Sakura like the sand siblings didn't buy the legend seeing as it did unintentionally start with Sakura herself but did want Naruto to know his legend is still growing even in death. They also felt like pranking Konoha channeling their inner Naruto. As morbid as it was they thought he'd find it funny especially when some offerings actually vanished in front of people.

Surprisingly enough Killer B even escaped Kumo dragging Yagito Nii with him. They were later found with a heavily guarded Roshi Han and Fuu and a self exiled Yagura. It was for no other reason then to pay respects to a brother Jinchuuriki. The only one missing was the Kiri Jinchuuriki Ukataka who just wanted to disappear with his apprentice Hotaru. This also served to amuse the new leader of Wave seeing as these pilgrimages ended at a giant Inari Fox statue that had nothing to do with Naruto and Konoha citizens would sometimes pray for him to give Wave back. His merchants have also been selling fox statues to the Konoha pilgrims to continue the joke and fund the Naruto initiative.

The once renamed Konoha 10 were now known as the Kyuubi Killers to many in the village who even knowing of Narutos heritage were just happy now that beast was dead. To many others like the Ichiraku family the traitor 11 they were in the same boat as Sasuke now. The knowledge of what they have done haunted many of them.

Team Guy split up.

Rock Lee realizing his actions cost him a rival and more importantly a friend left. He thought his Flames of Youth had now been taken and as punishment for himself left the team and the tutelage of his long time Sensai friend and father figure Might Guy stating. "I well not have your Flames of Youth end with mine". Rock Lee still trains none stop but doesn't have the same vigour as he did after his self exile from his Sensai and friends.

Neji as well left gaining back some of his faith in fate he now spends most of his time at the side of his cousin Hinata. Keeping her safe from the world that would harm her when he wasn't on an ANBU mission or spending time with Tenten.

Tenten herself spends most of her time as a blacksmith she still takes missions and has joined ANBU she didn't really know Naruto to personally. Outside of the occasional mission but to see what he did for Neji and Lee made her sad depriving the world of such a positive presence to those around him. It hurt her she still trained with Guy but noticed the lost of his students hurt her normally over the top teacher to no end.

Team 8 depression and new goals

Hinata couldn't believe the news fallowing Danzo's execution about Naruto she loved him like no other and always saw a hero In the making. In her eyes he was the future Hokage she would follow no matter what but when informed by Tsunade about Naruto being the Kyuubi jinchuuraki. With her order to also assassinate him to prove her loyalty to clan and country. Hinata couldn't believe that she was being manipulated by the Kyuubi the hole time. Was Naruto being controlled by it? If so when? She couldn't believe it but she trusted the Hokage it hurt her more then anything to help in his murder even more to find out it was for no reason. It was just the paranoid delusion of Danzo she cried in her room for a weeks on end totally broken. Even her father left her alone but when she came out with a sense of purpose she vowed to change her ways in Naruto's memory by any means necessary.

Kiba may not admit it easily but he saw Naruto as many things a friend a rival for Hinata's affection and most importantly a member of his Pack. It's the Inuzuka Clans way of making an outsider feel like family he may have picked on Naruto from time to time but that was just Kida's way of showing brotherly affection. After word got out Kiba fell in to a deep depression only really holding it in until he and Hinata would meet privately. He wasn't trying anything he just wanted to comfort his long time teammate and friend he vowed to ensure the safety of his remaining Pack. By any means going so far to make it a witnessed blood oath. He is bound now but Inuzuka honour to defeated his comrades to the death.

Shino much like Kiba saw Naruto as a Hive member. The Aburame's much like the insects they carry believe that one must never betray the hive to do so betrays ones vary being. Shino's only comfort was that the Hokage (the Queen) ordered his death and like the good soldier he was he fallowed those orders. Shino still had his emotions hidden like always but to an Aburame he mite as while be screaming his pain to the world. In order to combat this he joined the rebuilt Root despite the protests as a means of escape from his day to day. He is now a Lieutenant under Root leader Sai Konoha's new Dark Kage and a Shadow Strike member second to Shikamaru.

Team 10 over worked.

Shikamaru did everything in his being to forget about the tragedy he took part in. The formally lazy Nara has put everything he has in to his training. He used his strategic mind to help his father in his position as the new Hokage advisor. While learning from his father along the way. Shikamaru hasn't stopped for the last couple of years people assumed it was so Shikamaru can be Konoha's ambassador to Suna. Though he and Temari haven't talked since she left he was heartbroken and clearly depressed. Konohamaru being his biggest critic of them all as Temari recommended him as ambassador only brought more friction between the two. He started his own team of Ino Neji and Shino called the Shadow Strike ANBU. A team that specializes in high profile and risky assassinations. Made to look like accidents or betrayals.

Ino become a full fledged member of T in vary good standing since the Naruto incident. She took her job vary seriously she ditched her ditsy persona and has spent her time working. She is currently the only nonRoot member of the murder to have frequent interactions with former team seven and Danzo Root agent Sai. Anko took interest in Ino and has been training her since. Ino is now as good with a knife as she is with the mind transfer. She is also a member of Shikamaru's assassination squid.

Chōji wanted to quit being a shinobi altogether and only really stays because of his clan name and for his best friend Shikamaru's sack. He has sense been working as a cook at his family restaurant when not on missions. He dropped 50 pounds do to his lack of eating sense the incident despite the Akamichi clans protest he also focuses on his political education. To the point where he was actually able to meet Temari who rejected his application as ambassador following the realization he'd bring Shikamaru.

Team 7 broke up.

The over compensating Sakura spent her days crying privately in her home by night and giving a warm smile to patients by day. She continues to work in the hospital and is nearly head doctor she was one of the people who took Naruto's death the hardest. She reflected on her treatment of her teammate as kids then comrades then murderer to her victim. She couldn't help but realize she was the niceest to him the days before his death at her hands. She hasn't spoken to anyone in quite sometime expiration's being her parents her mother for her kind wards and her father doing everything in his power to see his little girl smile again. Sakura still continues to train with Tsunade but now just for medical reasons the Konohagakure suicide rate went up for shinobi that mistreated Naruto. Especially with those that severed directly under the late Uzumaki and Namikaze. She is planning to enter the war as a medic refusing anything else unless attack by the enemy in her hospital.

Sasuke only really showed by chance while on a mission from Otogakure. When he spotted the Konoha team when they were about to kill Naruto regardless of his shock at the situation. He saw a chance to strike he had little intention of killing Naruto but after seeing him dying it was justifiable. In his mind it was a mercy like putting down a dying dog still the power he felt made it worth it. Although Naruto in a way had got the last laugh taking taking one of the Uchiha's legendary eyes before falling to his death off a cliff in to the river below. He is doing everything and anything to prove his loyalty and has felt guilty over the death of his one time best friend since. Sasuke has also been a recluse when not on missions he proved his loyalty after his fight with Danzo. Nearly dying to save the Hokage's life he is now an ANBU captain. He started the Raven Core ANBU group with Lee Tenten and Kiba. Unlike Shikamaru's group their known for ruthless tactics and wet work Konoha's clenched fist.

Kakashi rejoined ANBU for a time but quit fallowing a dispute with fellow agents he was placed on a payed leave from duty. He has been seen wondering around the village looking lost and depressed. He knew Naruto was Minato's son and realized how bad he was as a Sensai and what should have been big brother. Now finding out Naruto was innocent and his best friend being the Akasuki mastermind. Who also murdered his father and mother figures it broke him. He was forced into therapy as Tsunade didn't want another Jiraya. Though the results have shown it isn't working. If he's not drinking or fighting his own he demands to go out and hunt his former best friend a demand that continues to be rejected.

Sai reestablished the foundation on occasion even has interactions with Ino Yamanka but holds a grudge. Seeing as they killed the man that helped him gain emotions his main one has be angrier or complete Root neutrality towards the others. Since reestablishing the Root program now servers as Tsunade's Dark Kage. Though cold a professional like back then he currently is rarely seen anywhere out side Root HQ. He still harbours a grudge with Shino but keeps it professional till he can get rid of him.

Sanin trail of self destruction

Tsunade's order to send the Kyuubi killers on the loyalty test in the way of the assassinating Naruto Uzumaki. It damaged her job and life trying to do right by Naruto. She had a tombstone made in his honour and a funeral even though Naruto's body was never found. She sent Konohagakure's best trackers but no successful finds she wanted to quit being Hokage but in Naruto's memory she had to stay. She has sense quit drinking on the job even though she lives with the hell of a clear mind when doing it. She has also needs a clear head for Jiraiya.

Jiraya since taking to the drink like an old lover he's almost never in his right mind haunted by recurring dreams of his student Minato and Kushina attempting to kill him. He's had multiple suicide attempts after the ass kicking from Teuchi of all people. He was forced to move in to Tsunade's houses so his old teammate could help him battle his depression. He as also destroyed the blueprints for the Seal he used on Naruto to stop the Kyuubi from healing his body. He found out the Anit-Jinchuuraki Seal as been sought after since to his great shame and displeasure.

Orochimaru would have most likely laughed for days about what happened to Naruto if it wasn't for losing Sasuke in the process. Hearing his former apprentice and future host now only had one eye and teamed back up with Konohagakure to kill him. Made him go totally off the map but he is suspected to reappear when he can take his revenge. Rumour had it Itachi himself is hunting him with most of his bases destroyed do to Sasuke's Intel he had lost most of his following. Only backed by the ever loyal Kabuto and a few of his most loyal.

The Konohamaru Corp new hatred and goals

Konohamaru was sad angry and depressed. Naruto was his friend his Boss his rival and older brother all rolled in to one. Naruto was the first to see him for more then Hiruzen Sarutobi's grandson and treated him like any other comrade. So Konohamaru has on more then one occasion tried to kill Sasuke but continues to lose. Tsunade keeps him from being arrested as she understands he reasons and Sasuke refuses to press charges.

So now he puts all his time in to training and doesn't look at the traitor 11 as anymore then that. His uncle Asuma as tried everything to apologize for the sack for his students but it fell on deaf ears. His dream has changed form wanting to be hokage for the village to being one so he can't get rid of Tsunade. She was rooting for him whether he liked it or not. Especially since he's his team can enter Suna and Wave freely. Though it has caused plenty of friction between himself and Shikamaru.

Moegi fallows Konohamaru's lead and feels just as bad about Naruto but has tried to get him off his fixation on revenge. Still she's just as angry as he is.

Udon backs his friends but harbours little faith in changing Konohamaru's mind. He's still the mellow one one his team but takes his training seriously.

The Ichiraku's out the door

Teuchi was many things in his life a loving father and ramen chefs a generally happy and proud man but before that. A lesser known fact was he served Konohagakure as a shinobi before a knee injury forced him to retirement. An even lesser known fact was that he was on the same team as Kushina Uzumaki-Namzaki. Which was how he liked it he didn't fight anymore and was more then proud to work with his daughter everyday for the rest of his life. He knew both of Naruto's parents but only realized it after seeing the boy eat ramen like his dad. He tried adopting Naruto for years but was unable to by the 3rd it broke the old man's heart to deny Teuchi but he didn't say why. When Jiraiya entered his new stand in Wave Teuchi's combat experience kick in. With a blind rage he beat his former friend almost to death and verbally destroyed him. The last thing he did was throw a knife in front of Jiraiya and walked away the message was vary clear. A message Jiraiya still tried to accept.

Ayame like her father is a famous ramen chef leaving Konoha was the best thing for them really. Kage's Diemyo's Wavers Kiri and Suna shinobi have built the Ichiraku up as the Ramen masters. She still prays every night for her little brother's spirit and still hopes to see Iruka again one day. Konohamaru and his team are the only Konoha Shinobi allowed in the new Ichiraku's.

Shizune loyal but bitter.

Shizune continues to remain by her Kage aunt and mother figure's side but Naruto's death made her feel worse for the wear. She was there when Tsunade issued the assassination of Naruto it hurt her dearly to think. The vary person who saved Tsunade's and her's life once was going to die on Tsunade's order. When the truth came out Tsunade and her's relationship took a nose dive. She is still working for her mentor but is cold a distant when to mood sets in.

Iruka vanished.

After Iruka's attack he disappeared much like Orochimaru and Itachi. On occasion Tsunade tried having him found as promised Iruka wasn't put in the Bingo book. She just wanted to make sure he was ok though rumours did spread, about a man with a nose scar and ponytail saving a pile of children from an abduction ring. She managed to track down the village he was staying at only to find out he left. He was a civilian school teacher a much loved and respected one at that. Besides basic lessons of reading writing and mathematics he would also teach basic martial arts. Something the children loved.

The end of Akatsuki.

Nagato and Konan still serve as Amikage and second in command of Amigakure. After receiving letters from Kisame and Itachi about the possibility of war with Iwa, Nagato personally wrote threatening letters to both Konoha Suna Kiri and Iwa. Stating Ami doesn't care about their war they say out of his territory. If they don't comply their shinobi will be killed on site. With Kisame's information on the power of Ami with out revealing Nagato's identity as an Akasuki member everyone but Iwa choose to stay away. Iwa got smart when somehow a platoon of Iwa Jonin what was left of them anyway rained from the sky.

Itachi went off the radar he'd occasionally appeared in Konoha to see his brothers progress. He finds himself saddened each time at the site of his one eyed little brother. Itachi cursed Danzo for leaving records of the massacre that were stolen the sold to Orochimaru. He was dying he was going blind and his brother lacked the ambition to kill him anymore. What made matters worse was that Itachi himself like Deidara said was now called the last loyal Uchiha. It angered him that the truth came out about the massacre in a revenge ploy by Orochimaru's agents. Sasuke finding out was one thing now this he needed to disappear if he can't have death he needed peace. It made things easier that Konoha dropped the bounty on his head but now on occasion they'd look for him to bring him home something Tsunade dropped at Jiraiya's request.

Kakuzu do to the money Tobi and Pain "stole" from him left immediately and angrily. He was offered a job by the same shadow company that makes the BINGO books and the offer of cash and the erasing of his bounty was to good to be true. He has sense been working still as a bounty hunter but also dose accounting and loans with Kakuzu you pay your debts on time no expectations.

Hidan disappeared from the organization but was later found in the ruins of his former home Yugakure. He destroyed and rebuilt it as temple in Jashins glory he somehow has gotten enough followers and financial backing to be a legitimate threat to none believers. The Madman of Jashin is now the High Priest of Distraction.
