The Shade Rewrite

A rewrite of my old story. An assassination Tsunade ordered resulting in the death of Uzumaki Naruto has caused Konoha nothing but problems. The war against Iwagakure bankruptcy the loss of Wave Spring and Demons have cost Konoha millions and thousands of troops. Now a suspicious client is looking to hire them for protection against the leagendary assassin Shade.

4. Chapter 4

Disclaimer: I like most of these characters. It's just story stuff and from the characters point of view. It's also a little lore explaining so sorry if it rambles a bit thank you.

P.S it's going to be pretty depressing.

The Great Naruto Bridge.

Kisame hung back with the former team 7 and Sannin. While Suna and Kiri and the Konohamaru corp lead. They were far enough not to hear Kisame, tell his story. It made Konohamaru suspicious obviously but his brothers "body" was his main concern. "And that's everything Itachi told me. Then he took that little tumble off the cliff. Aren't you glad you tagged along Tsunade-Chan?". Kisame asked with a grin Tsunade was mentally broken with the others. "Then there was seeing him afterwards gross looking now. Just remember follow my orders and you can get him back". He finished with a chuckle Tsunade and Jiraiya shook. They looked up at the statue of Naruto above the bridge. It appeared to be looking down on them in their minds eye it appeared to be glaring at them.

They shivered for a moment Kisame grinned. "Yeah I remember when I thought he was watching me to. Creepy isn't it?". He asked in amusement they saw a pile of carts and guarded by Samuari and Shinobi, in ocean blue armour and vests. When they saw Gaara and Mei they bowed to them, when they saw Konoha they drew their weapons making them flinch. "Hey guys". Konohamaru said nonchalantly getting their attention. "Konohamaru? The fuck is your Kage and the other fuckers doing here? You know the rules". A Samurai asked annoyed Konohamaru shrugged.

"We're on a Joint mission of Kage. Kisame recommended we take a ship to avoid Iwa". Konohamaru said in vague truth the guards looked at the Kage who nodded. "I'd rather they go through Iwa myself the boss is going to be pissed". A Shinobi said annoyed but they put their weapons away. "What's going on here anyway?". Gaara asked the caravan leader shrugged. "Boss man got a call this morning from the land of Rivers". She started the Kage's stiffened a bit. "Really and what did they want?". Gaara asked since Inari's little show of self reliance Suna and Kiri have been keeping an eye on Rivers. The last thing they needed was another war or worse political problems. It's would just be more paperwork for them.

"Their Diemyo slipped out of the shower and broke his neck on his toilet. He's dead couldn't have happened to a nicer guy in my opinion". Kisame tried not to snicker everyone else was shocked. "So they called the boss and asked for aid almost immediately. Guess they didn't like him much either". The leader explained grinning Kisame chuckled Gaara and Mei looked at each other then back at the caravan leader. "Okay…". Mei said trying to hide her suspicion the death of this particular Diemyo was way to convenient for Inari. "So the boss wants to test us see if we're fit for guard detail. Kiri Spring and Iron are to remine behind and guard wave". He informed everyone nodded.

"Hopefully Inari-Kun won't forget his two favourite Kage now that he has an army". Mei said Gaara nodded the leader grinned. "We're expanding in to Rivers now everything here, is to start building and to set up supply lines. He actually wants a permit partnership with both of your villages". He informed surprising them. "Doing what exactly?". Gaara asked he shrugged. "Can't revile anymore then I already have you'll have to talk to the boss". The leader said they nodded Kisame grinned. "Inari you cleaver little fucker". He thought to himself as they made their way to Wave. "I will warn you it's probably better if you see the big man first. Also avoid Ichiraku I don't know what Kisame told them but they were angry. I mean really angry". Tsunade team 7 and Jiraiya shook. Suna and Kiri glared at the casually whistling Kisame. "Actually that was more my fault then his. He's actually been vary helpful to me even saved my friend Isaribi". Karin defended surprising them they looked at the grinning Kisame almost seeing the cartoony halo over his head. When they turned around Konoha saw it burst in to flames. Konohamaru nodded respectfully with his team.

"I'll stop by anyway while they're at the meeting. I'd rather not see Inari right now regardless". Konohamaru stated confusing everyone Udon grinned. "Just ask Moegi out already and he'll stop trying. Last time he bought her a huge bouquet of flowers". Konohamaru glared Moegi blushed the caravaners Karin Kiri and Suna laughed. "It's not like that at all". Konohamaru defended Moegi huffed. "Fine I'll join in on the meeting then. At least Inari-Kun is straightforward vary romantic and doesn't smoke". She stated getting grins Konohamaru sighed annoyed. "I'm buying". He murmured she grinned and walked off. "It's a date then". She said with a wave making everyone laugh at his blushing face. "Wow look at you getting one over on big boss Inari". Suigetsu said with a grin Chojuro chuckled Konohamaru glared. "Come on let's go ya dick". Konohamaru ordered everyone else grinned as they went their separate ways.

"Aren't you a little young to be smoking?". Chojuro asked Konohamaru shrugged. "As a 15 year old Shinobi I should be to young to do most things. Still if I'm old enough to kill I should be old enough to do everything else". He countered Kiri shrugged in understanding. "Besides Sarutobi's have ash release. So smoking doesn't effect us like normal people". Konohamaru explained Udon looked at him. "That's what your uncle says and he goes through two packs a day". Konohamaru shrugged him off. "And I'm a two cigarettes a day type of person you just have to find your centre. Grandpa had his pipe to minimize his intake". Udon thought about it. "He was almost always puffing on it. I wouldn't be surprised if he slept with the thing in his teeth". He said getting chuckle's Konohamaru grinned. "He did a couple of times at his desk actually. One time Naruto and I stuffed his tobacco with spicy pepper when he did. He belted the both of us but it was worth it". He admitted making his group laugh.

"Now then first order of business". Kisame started getting his groups attention. "So to start Wave his heavily protected now. Suna and Kiri also know if Konoha outside of the brat's enter at their own risk alliance or not. The kids know that to". He said with a chuckle grinning at Kakashi and Sakura. "You'll get glares punches rocks thrown at you with no fucks given. You are not to defend yourselves or act on it Capeesh?". Jiraiya pulled out a flask and was about to take a drink when he stopped. His hands were shaking as he put it away. "I won't act". He said shaking from withdrawal. "Good". Kisame said with a grin.

"Why didn't you want Sasuke to come he needs a beating more then anyone?". Sakura asked angrily Kisame chuckled. "That he does and so do you I know how many times you'd smack Naruto in to a wall". He countered hurting her dearly. "Besides not backing his girlfriend and former daddy dearest on the hunt for his best buddy's corpse will hurt him more then Wave ever could. Especially since it's also Orochimaru we're after probably even for keeps now. Denying him any kind of redemption is his punishment". Kisame said with a heartless grin Sakura shook angrily at Kisame. "I'm not his fucking girlfriend". She corrected angrily Kisame shrugged.

"When Zetsu would do a peekaboo on you two, he'd tell Itachi and me everything because every detail could help. The brat probably jumped thinking you two would bone on his tomestone with all the times you'd sacrifice him for your precious Sasuke-Kun. Even after that sweet little moment you two had on the Kage monument". Kisame mocked Sakura still glared with tears in her eyes, Tsunade and Kakashi looked at her sadly in surprise. Jiraiya was curious. "Yep I know about that to. Zetsu was Akasuki's real spy master at least where the Jinchuuriki were concerned. But story time with Uncle Kisame is over for abit now it's your turn. Tell me what was going through your pretty pink coconut when you decided to kill him? Could be therapeutic getting all out with all out in the open with just the five of us. Think of it like a sharing circle I won't judge much". Kisame ordered/joked darkly with a grin Sakura shook sadly. "Why do you even care?". She asked angrily she about ready to attack.

"Because I hung out with Itachi and It really ruined my child like innocence but not my curious nature. I also vowed to the ghost of your victim to screw with you, and as everyone knows Hoshigaki Kisame always keeps his word. When he feels like it anyway". He said with a mocking tone chuckling knowing full well how pissed they were. He then shrugged uncaring. "Suit yourself you know the corpses location is getting awfully fuzzy all of a sudden. I bet Gaara and the brat could help me remember". He said nonchalantly Sakura clenched her fists while she and an angry Kakashi sent Killer Intent making it hit Kisame's back. "Are you two giving me Killers intent? That's adorable". He said turning to them grinning. "Here's mine". A blast rocked their bodies for a split second the two were wide eyed sweating and hyperventilating. Tsunade wasn't prepared for it and shook a bit before getting her bearings. Jiraiya didn't care In the slightest even gave Kisame a daring look making him grin. "2 and a half out of 4 I win". Kisame said chuckling then grinned at Jiraiya. "Well drunky how about you start and she finishes". Kisame compromised Jiraiya looked at Sakura sadly as he started.

Flashback a week before the loyalty mission.

At the Hokage's office Tsunade and Jiraiya were just about half cut they had been drinking since 9am yesterday. It was now 2:00pm today. Tsunade tried to come up with the right words the right way to say it. She wondered if she should use her reasoning or sadness, or a cold cut order to the troops she didn't know. She had sent out ANBU to call 10 members of the Konoha 11 along with Kakashi. Jiraiya who was already told and had spent months going over and over Danzo's findings to no avail. Heartbroken he started work on an Anti-Jinchuriki seal to nullify Narutos connection with the Kyuubi. "How do I tell them?". Tsunade asked head on her desk. "I don't know". Jiraiya answered simply taking a drink. When Tsunade heard the knock at the door she and Jiraiya instantly sobered up from hours of drinking.

"Enter". She said commandingly as the people she wanted to see came walking in. "You wanted to see us Lady Tsunade". Sakura asked respectfully with a peppy smile on it on her face. She has been having a good day and it hurt Tsunade to no end to see it. "Yes I did Sakura". Already those in the room could feel the situation needed their utmost attention. Jiraiya's expression of sadness didn't help ease them either. "What can we do for you Tsunade-Sama?". Neji said with respect Tsunade was silent for an uncomfortable amount of time till she spoke with sadness. "It's...about..Naruto". At hearing Naruto's name and the sadness of Tsunade's voice and seeing Jiraiya's face everyone was on edge petrified even.

"What is it Tsunade-Sama what happened to Naruto is it Akatsuki did they get him?". Kiba asked worried. "Is he hurt or lost do we have to go find him?". Shikamaru asked. "Is he going after Sasuke-Kun again did Orochimaru find out?". Sakura asked. "Please Tsunade-Sama what happened to Naruto-kun?". Hinata begged worried sick. "No". Tsunade said softly continuing. "Naruto is safe and In the village". She explained Shikamaru didn't like where this was going but remained cool. "Then why did you call us about that troublesome blonde for?". He asked Tsunade tried to find the words that would haunt her for the rest of her life. "As Hokage of Konoha I am ordering you all to go on a mission with Naruto to the border of Konoha and Wave and from there you will take part in his...Assassination". Confusion rocked the group but Kakashi Shino and Shikamaru caught on. Kakashi dropped his book Shikamau shook. Shino was wide eyed. Choji with many others was a little slower to catch on.

"I don't get it Tsunade-Sama why do you need us to be there for Naruto to assassinate someone. Besides isn't he still a Genin is it for back up? Why isn't he here to then?". He asked getting nods. "Choji". Shikamaru said sadly everyone turned to him. "She doesn't want us there so Naruto can kill someone…she wants us there to kill Naruto himself". He explained heartbroken everyone's eyes widened and gasps were heard. "Why Tsunade-Sama?". Tenten asked not believing Shikamaru. "Why do we have to kill Naruto why dose he have to die at all?". She asked she couldn't fathom the idea of killing a Konoha Shinobi especially one she knew. "I-i-is this a joke Tsunade-Sama why do we have to k-k-kill Naruto-kun?". Hinata had tears in her eyes while asking she thought it was some sort of nightmare she was going through. "His our friend why us?". Neji demanded in shock forgetting to show respect.

"Lady Tsunade please tell us this is just one of Naruto's stupid jokes and he somehow put you up to this please". Sakura begged in tears. "No Sakura it's not a joke". Tsunade snapped frustration and sadness clear on her face from having to explain it. Jiraiya had to take over as Tsunade got her composure. "Danzo came to Tsunade and I with worries about Naruto. He gave us some of his privately funded research he had done on Naruto". He sighed sadly then continued. "The research was done on Naruto's seal". He explained. "Seal what Seal?". Kiba asked sadly. "His jinchuriki Seal". Shikamaru said as he already knew. "But Danzo's a warmongering bastard why would you take his word for it?". Shikamaru asked ignoring the looks he was getting from the others. "Naruto-kun's a what?". Hinata asked after a little explanation about what a Jinchuriki was which shocked them. Because it totally rewrote everything they thought they knew about Konoha's history Jiraiya finally answered Shikamaru.

"I've spent 3 months straight doing honest to god research on it. I payed off just about every source I have and found nothing that disproves its merit. If I found even the slightest thing to debunk his findings. We wouldn't be talking at all". The truth in his words hurt his listeners. "But why send us of all people we're Naruto's friends and teachers? And way isn't Sai joining he's Naruto's teammate to? Or Yamato for that matter?". Lee asked Tsunade used all her inner strength to face them to answer. "That's why your going Naruto's not as stupid as most people think and he doesn't trust many other Shinobi. He'll know somethings up but with you all there with him watching his back". She started. "He wouldn't see it coming". Shino finished with a quiet voice hiding his inner sadness.

"This is bullshit Naruto may be a Jinchu-whatever but he's our friend you can't make us do this please. You also didn't answer our question". Kiba's voice cracked with anger and sadness he was at a loss. "Actually Kiba I can Naruto's status as Jinchuuriki makes him a major threat to Konoha. With you as his closest friends we can't be sure if the Kyuubi isn't manipulating all of you in to thinking Naruto isn't a threat, or the Kyuubi itself this is as much a loyalty test as it is an order for Naruto's death. Failure to do so in this regard would mean you're disobeying direct orders from your Kage and in Konoha law it is a capital offence". The room went as quite as the grave they all had to think long and hard.

"As for Yamato his wood release makes him immune to the Kyuubis Influence. Sai is also excused because Danzo already looked in to him and assured me that Sai is totally loyal to Konoha". Tsunade explained in reality Danzo only read the reports Sai turned in, which Sai lied on calling his failed attempt to assassinate Sasuke a simple missed opportunity. Rather then a free thinking choice incase Danzo would try to re-educate him. Sai didn't want to lose his new found freedom. Danzo also manipulated the circumstances so that Yamato was excused, because Wood release was to valuable to lose unlike the others, whether he was right or not he was certain Naruto would go down fighting.

"So Danzo is telling you to kill Naruto Danzo is saying Sai is loyal, and we have to kill our friend because Danzo questions our loyalty. So tell me why isn't Danzo fucking Hokage? Because clearly he's in charge". Tenten asked angrily making her flinch Jiraiya sighed the stress was killing him. "Why?". Kakashi whispered. "Why did Minato-Sensai have to pick Naruto?". He asked a tear in his visible eye. Tsunade was sad at hearing that. Kakashi knew who Naruto was obviously but was so broken right now he asked the question anyway. Hiruzen also chose to keep the Orange masked man a secret for only the highest echelon of Konoha.

Tsunade needed to cover for the poor man. "That's an Double S-ranked secret Kakashi I'm sorry". Tsunade herself wanted to tell them but really the less they now the better Shikamaru knew and by god he want to tell everyone but didn't. He was of the same mindset as Tsunade to kill the 4ths son, it'd haunt them as much as it would him. He couldn't let that happen. "When must we take part in this unyouthful venture?". Lee said with no enthusiasm. "It well take one vary long week I'm telling you this now to prepare...and pray". Tsunade informed heartbroken.

"A week what happens if we see Naruto?". Ino asked scared of seeing him with what she now "knows". "You will have to play it cool like nothing is wrong we need the week to prepare". Jiraiya answered. "For what?". Kakashi asked not bothering with formality's at this point. Tsunade gave a sad sigh. "As some of you may know Naruto is popular in some countries and with the leaders from Spring Suna Wave and even with Shion the priestess who once asked him to give her a child". Some were a little surprised. "I remember that one". Neji said sadly looking back fondly at the memory when Naruto realized what she meant by helping her with an hair. Rock Lee chuckled abit close to braking down Tsunade nodded. Sakura felt broken Naruto finally said he was saving himself for her, she then punched him in to a rock.

"If he die's and everyone knows how Konoha could will loss a lot of allies and revenue. Especially with Suna Gaara wouldn't stand for it no matter the reason. Naruto needs to die and his body destroyed to also make sure Orochimaru can't get his secrets or worse being him back as a undead slave to his will. He needs to be replaced". They shivered at the thought Shikamaru thought about it. "H-how do you plan to do that?". Hinata asked morbidly before he could ask. "On the last raid we did on one of Orochimaru's bases. I found some of his notes on something call the Flesh Sculpting Technique. When he takes-over a body he uses this to change another dead persons face to make it look like him. So he can graft it to his hosts face making him look like his real self even though it's clearly not his real body. It will have his appearance". Jiraiya explained that sickened everyone in the room to no end Tsunade continued where Jiraiya left off. "After the Oto-Suna invasion Donzo Kept many of the body's to run tests on. One he found had the same build and hight and another one that looked almost just like Naruto in the face department". She felt sick saying it out loud.

"You plan to make a Naruto to be found at a later date". Shino said bitterly catching on. "Yes". Tsunade returned. "It well be found by Jiraiya and people will think he just failed his mission and died as a result. It happens a lot unfortunately and not many will question it. We are also doing this to give people peace of mind and it will also be a trap if Orochimaru does try to get the body". Everyone couldn't believe what they just heard. "This is disgusting". Kiba said completely outraged. "First you want us the kill one of our friends to prove our loyalty. Then set him up as a failure Jinchuuaki or not Naruto deserves better". The Konoha 10 and Kakashi nodded in agreement ontill. "We don't know if it is really Naruto at all Kiba". This came from Sakura getting everyones attention. "I don't want to do this either Naruto is my teammate but we can't be sure anymore and I trust Lady Tsunade's judgement". Neji didn't like hearing that.

"Are you sure it's not because he didn't bring back that traitorous Uchiha you're so fond of Sakura?". He asked annoyed she turned to him angrily. "It's not that at all he maybe the Kyuubi and—". She started. "Save it Haruno". Hinata said anger in her soft voice. "You have never appreciated having Naruto-kun on your team. Someone who was willing to cross hell itself to see you smile. Even going so far as to nearly die to bring back that traitor. Because he knows you care more for him then Naruto-kun's safety". Sakura felt like she was stabbed in the chest through the heart. Is this what they all think of her as. Just some child with a crush whose welling to uses Naruto to her own ends. "If what Jiraiya says is true Naruto's life has been a hell on earth. The beatings of those bigots out there, to the point where he may have sided with the demon inside to get back at them. Throw in all the punches the yelling and the spite you gave him don't you think you helped contribute to that". Shikamaru said bluntly angering her.

"And what about all of you?". Sakura yelled in return. "Hinata you've never taken the hard road once. You could have told him how you felt a 1000 times but you stuck to hiding from him instead. Maybe if you had a fucking backbone you could have helped him. I also have no doubt if he ran off instead you'd asked Kiba to bring him back to". Hinata flinched Kiba frowned. "I wouldn't…". She started weakly. "Bullshit I knew I was to weak to join the retrieval mission I'd ask Sasuke to do the same thing, because I do care about him as a friend. You on the other hand were just a cowered". Hinata looked down sadly Sakura looked at the others. "Kiba Choji and Shikamaru you 3 may have hung out with Naruto the most, but you Kiba were also right there with the rest of us insulting him. I got tired of him trying to pick me up, I'll even say I fell for the bullshit surrounding him and I'll admit I'm an angry fucking person. I didn't have a crush on Sasuke I actually love him and that was slowly waning when I found my teammate coated in blood after trying to catch him. You were just a prick because it was cool. Even in the exams you called him a loser try to publicly embarrass him. Can you explain that you fucking asshole?". Kiba shank at hearing that.

"Shikamaru you were just to lazy to give a fuck about the so called troublesome blonde and given your IQ. You must've known who he was and more. Where were you when people would brake him down you sleepyeyed fuck?". Shikamaru flinch at that. "Then there's you Choji. You were always so concerned with what Shikamaru was up to that you didn't give Naruto the time of day. Unless it was stuffing your fat fucking mouth full of ramen with him". Choji looked down ashamed. "Sakura". Ino said angrily. "Quiet Ino you were right there with me the most. Every single fucking time". Sakura bite back Ino was ashamed of herself.

She didn't bring up Lee because he was chill with Naruto or Tenten as they only meet in the Chunin exam and she also never judged him. Neji did have some harsh words with Naruto. Though he changed lot after their fight and Shino didn't say much of anything to anyone so he was a write off in that regard. "Most of you are in the same boat I'm in when it came to Naruto's treatment. In some way shape or form and I well not stand by and be the only one taking the blame". Sakura said making the rest think about their part in all this. "She dose have a point though she could have worded it better". Kakashi said a little disappointed with her and Jiraiya was still giving her a glare which stopped when she turned to them. "Who the fuck are you two to talk and look at me like that?". She asked with venom in her voice.

"Kakashi you flat out ignored him tree climbing in the middle of a A-ranked mission against the fucking Demon of the Mist himself. That was our only lesson from you then ignoring us both for Sasuke. Naruto has wind affinity I have fire earth water yin and Yang release. You stole over a thousand Jutsu's so where the fuck was our education uh? We'd probably actually learn something to if you showed the fuck up on time for once". Sakura shouted angrily Kakashi looked down ashamed of himself. "Then there's you Jiraiya. How many times did Naruto try to treat me to ramen only to find out his savings were gone? Because you spent it on booze and women for you disgusting research? You're a fucking Sannin and Konoha's spymaster wouldn't you have almost infinite access to Konoha's banks. Or did you spend it all on whores and have your access taken form you so you had to steal from your own apprentice? Hell the only reason he learned the Rasengan from what I got from him was his own skill and drive to do so". She yelled both men were ashamed of themselves for that. "I didn't…". Jiraiya started. "Go fuck yourself Jiraiya a few comments and actions when I was a stupid kid make's you idiots think you're better then me? Fuck you during the chunin exams I defended both of them from those Oto guys with absolutely no combat training from Kakashi. Lee can back that up I could've died but I wasn't going to run away and abandon either of them". Lee nodded defending Sakura while embarrassing Kakashi.

"Our Sensai didn't give a fuck about actually training either of us and from Wave Spring and Demon's. Nothing Kakashi taught us mattered and you Jiraiya you don't have any right to defend yourself anymore then we do. The three members for team seven have Sannin the only difference between Tsunade Orochimaru and you is the effort. I can destroy a fucking mountain with a single punch Sasuke learned Kenjutsu and has plenty of Orochimaru's Jutsu. Naruto on the other hand has the Rasangon he learned basically by himself". Jiraiya flinched Jiraiya used to proudly watch Naruto practice, it was his way of showing faith in his boy.

He tried teaching Naruto other thing but Naruto only had wind release. "He's Taijutsu was still terrible he was basically a brawler and you would find him annoying to, and we all have contracts so don't bother bringing that up. The reason way he could summon Gamabunta at all was with his fight or flight instincts. Who the fuck throws their 13 year old apprentice off a cliff?". Jiraiya looked down sadly she wasn't giving him room to explain. Jiraiya was a brawler to he and Naruto shared the same unpredictable nature like they did with Minato. Hell even that cliff stunt was how he originally learned. The only thing he genuinely found annoying about he's boy was the nickname he got, and some of the crazy stunts he pulled. Not that he was smart enough to tell Naruto any of that or anyone else for that matter. Also considering the years of under order abandonment and never having the nerve to tell, his son that he loved him and finally admit who he really was, he had far more then that coming. "Besides the fact he didn't come back to Konoha thinking mainly with his dick is a fucking miracle all in itself". Jiraiya was ashamed he and Naruto didn't have that in common for the most part anyway.

Sakura was getting angrier uncaring about what she did or didn't know about Jiraiya. It wouldn't help anyway at this point. "All things considered Cell seven is cursed I read the history of it. Kill abandon or out live your teammates from Team Tobirama to now nothing good comes out of it for the team as a hole". Everyone looked at her heartbroken especially Kakashi and Jiraiya. "I learned all of Tsunade's moves to fight by his side I became a doctor. So when he got injured I could patch him up. I did it to prove myself and just as much as show him he didn't have to put himself, in danger all the time. Where the fuck were you bastards?". They flinched as Sakura glared at everyone then at Tsunade. "I also seem to remember you putting Naruto through a few walls yourself. So anyone have the balls to glare at Tsunade?". They were feeling defeated already by that.

Tsunade was wide eyed at the outburst but unfortunately its to late to fix the problem now. "It doesn't matter anymore anyway". She said sadness clearly in the statement. "Right now Naruto if he hasn't already became apart of the Kyuubi in some way shape or form. He still Is more then just the Jinchuriki he needs to go and you must be the ones to do so". Shikamaru looked at her angrily. "What about you Hokage?". He asked not wanting to use her name. "Naruto made you the Hokage to begin with got you over your own personal troubles. He sees you as family something you yourself said is rare for him how do we know he hasn't already gotten to you? For all we know you're sacrificing us". He accused she was getting glares. "Shikamaru". Ino said softly trying to stop him but he continued angrier. "I've seen Naruto defend Konoha and his friends a dozen times over. I've seen him fight against impossible odds when all hope was lost. Now your ordering his death yes but would you back it up yourself?". He shouted at her Tsunade looked at him sadly.

"For Konoha's future I would...Naruto did make me take up the mantle. I didn't want it now that I have it. I must do what must be done for the bigger picture and that's to save this village. Even at the cost of someone I love that's why back in the day I left. I was done sacrificing people I cared about so many people want to be Hokage Shikamaru, but only a few can actually do the job I unfortunately I am one of those that can". They stood there silently they couldn't believe what they had to do but they saw her point and as Shinobi of Konoha. The village must come first they looked at Tsunade. "Just remember this is a Triple S-ranked mission no one else can know not even your families. I'm sorry but a rank this high carry's the death penalty". They nodded and slowly left the room only Jiraiya and Tsunade remained.

"How long till the seal is ready?".

"It will be ready for when the time comes".

"I'll get started on the copy then...just make sure it's painless please".

"I'll...try but if we all have to….then I can't promise that". They could barely hold it in Naruto was the closest thing they had to a son. Now they ordered his death. "I guess that's all I can ask". Tsunade said as Jiraiya made his way to the door when Tsunade had one last question. "We're going to hell aren't we Jiraiya?" She asked he looked at her with broken eyes. "Yes... we are Hime". He exited and Tsunade finally broke down.

End of flashback.

Sakura looked at Jiraiya with little to no sympathy he merely nodded in understanding. It broke Tsunade and Kakashi at how cold she was with him. "Can't blame you kid you were basically right at the end of the day no matter what I wanted or hoped people would understand. I was a shit godfather". This surprised them Tsunade was heartbroken for Jiraiya Kisame grinned. "So you're the brats guardian wow. Then again it should have been obvious". He said Jiraiya nodded shaking hand on his flask fighting the urge. "Raised Naruto for two hole years best years of my life to. Still have everything just the way it was in his old room. Haven't walked in there since. Told him I was a hermit just so he wouldn't see it". He said with tears in his eyes remembering those wonderful days.

"In his little orange onesie the day he finally started walking was the day I walked out on him. I had a camera trained on him for days on end waiting of course Hiruzen had to pick that day to take it all away from me". Sympathy was entering Sakura's eyes. "That stupid frog wallet everyone mocked him for was something he got from me. The one thing I ever gave him on his eighth birthday. I know it was dumb but I thought when I finally came home, I could make it kind of cool father and son type of thing. Even bought myself one Y'Know". He chuckled completely broken. "I practically skipped back to Konoha finally I could be a father again. Only to find the shit hole he was living in a gang already wait to take him out again apparently. Then finding him half dead in a hospital hooked up to tubes Hiruzen leaning over him. I wanted the fucker dead". He said angrily Tsunade wasn't even that surprised but Jiraiya never wanted to talk about those days. "Then Itachi popping up telling me about the massacre and Akasuki. After just getting back I had to leave again. His appartment was clean like brand new. Still killed everyone there regardless. It's why no one broke in since and why most of the attacks stopped". Everyone even Kisame was shocked Jiraiya ignored it.

"By the time I took him on I was to much of a pussy to tell him. I just wanted my father Son time. I tried to train him in other things. Fire earth water yin yang everything else I had. By the time his affinity for water came to light we barely had any time left. I spent a year just bonding with him sure I threw in training, but just getting to know him after all these years. I was just so happy but in the end I honestly didn't teach him much". Jiraiya said absolutely heartbroken. "I never spent his money on anything either. I simply used my own experiences to be a good father". He said depressed getting there attention.

"His family account was never touched I supported him the hole time. Keeping the accounts untouched till he was old enough. The money he had I took to save for him. From missions to odd jobs we'd do everything he earned I put into a savings account. I'd always smile and act goofy when he'd go on his little rant about how much of an asshole I am. Because he want to shower you with gifts or ramen or whatever". He took a deep Saki smelling breath Sakura knew she wouldn't like the ending. "I understood fully what it was like but all things considered I thought you were a bitch. Ya took after Tsunade a little to much and Naruto took after me and Minato to much. Originally I saw a lot of Kushina in you but she'd never do to Minato what you and Tsunade did to me and him". Tsunade flinched Sakura frowned.

"I knew like Tsunade you'd take everything you were given but the loving heart offended. Kushina was a beast angrier then the both of you put together, but she was madly in love with Minato she'd never hit him outside of training. I always wanted to ask my little brother how he did it. How did he win her over when Naruto and I did the exact samething for you two with barely a wink in our directions?". He asked annoyed the withdrawal was making him angry, he didn't mean what he said but his bitterness was controlling him. "I saved a hundred and fifty grand for Naruto. That he would have wasted trying to get you to like him. Like I would waste paying off this privileged bitches gambling debts, but when I invited her to simply see my boy no strings attached. Just because I want him to meet his aunt she was no where to be found". He angrily glared at Tsunade making her sad.

"You sure as hell weren't Shizuka that's for sure". He scolded confusing them. "Shizuka?". Sakura asked Jiraiya nodded. "Years ago I fought the leader of Nadeshiko Village and won. Under village law that meant we had to get married. Fucking stupid I know but that's their tradition". Tsunade was shocked to hear that. "But I had someone I cared to much about so I opted instead to compromise. A student for a student that's when I saw Shizuka. Fucking gorgeous and not a bitch like you two". Kisame chuckled shaming Tsunade while Sakura glared angrily. "She'd be bound to Naruto and completely loyal and caring. I was thinking of introducing him to her one day". Sakura's sympathy started drying up quickly as he glared at Tsunade. "Tsunade never even went to Konoha to see him when I asked her to because I didn't trust the prick. I'm probably only living at that fucking Mansion now because she needs a miserable fuck to look at and go glade I ain't him…anymore". Tsunade was in tears she genuinely cares about Jiraiya. She blamed the withdrawal it happened with her to, but Jiraiya was cutting like a knife right now.

"I ran at top speed across a battlefield killing as I went beaten and bloodied. All to save Nowaki my baby bro I loved that kid not because I cared about Tsunade, but him. I just wanted to comforted my friend only to be yelled at for not being there. When he was on Orochimaru's team. Like you'd do over any little fucking thing Naruto did". Tsunade flinched sadly in tears. Sakura nearly broke down from that comment. "Then Don the fucking Sasuke of my generation. I nearly died a dozen times over to try and save the fucker. Got my ribs arm and lag broken by one fucking man. When I was lying in the hospital I get told I'm a Sannin how can I of let it happen, and I took it because the only person I cared about before Minato Kushina and Naruto was heartbroken. I was never happier when I heard Kushina killed the bastard responsible. Besides like the Sannin name made us untouchable we got it after losing a fight to Honzo. Team of fucking losers you were right the team 7 name is a fucking curse. The only thing you have on Tsunade if it wasn't just bluster was if you actually learn from her to help him and that's it". Sakura was completely ashamed of herself for saying that it was a curse but Jiraiya ruined everything else. She nodded. "I honestly did Jiraiya". She said truthfully Jiraiya nodded thankfully to her. Tsunade wanted Jiraiya to finally punch her back for everything she put him through.

"I prayed everyday Hiruzen would do his job Naruto never brought anything like it up. Till your rant at the meeting that's when I knew. I hope I go to hell just so I can kill the fucker properly. When I see Orochimaru I'll hug him for killing Hiruzen, before I kill him for fucking good". Jiraiya vowed he's alcoholism was destroying him but he would not drink Sakura Tsunade and Kakashi were in tears to. Sakura was thinking about Naruto not Jiraiya's comments. "I loved him more then anything. Money power women pride Konoha Orochimaru my own life even Tsunade. None of that mattered when I held him in my arms for those two years. I'm pretty sure going after you was something he got from me. I never learned my lesson with angry women either". He tried to joke forgetting his rant about Tsunade and Sakura. He needed a drink to function but fought hard. Tsunade wanted to hug him and cry for him. He looked at Sakura pleadingly. "Nothing you did or feel can possibly match up to the hell I'm going through. I know if you loved him at all it was like a brother but I killed my only Son so please just indulge the fucker". He begged Sakura was angry at him right now by nodded. "Fine here it is". She said sadly.

Flashback right after the meeting.

The streets of Konoha.

Sakura just wanted to be alone right now but Ino Lee Tenten and Neji were with her. Sakura was tired upon hearing everyone talk to her like she was useless and needy she was pissed and gave it right back. Now she just felt bad at lest where Hinata was concerned. Sakura loved Naruto like family but Hinata loved Naruto plainly. "Could you do it Ino?". She said quietly getting there attention. "If you actually love Sasuke could you still kill him?". Ino frowned this was far from a rivalry thing. She joined Sakura to put that to bed and help her old best friend. "I could because I stopped loving him a while back. Since he betrayed all of us. I thought he saw the light when he helped Naruto in the Sky attack, but it was just an Oto mission. To be honest I think it was just our stupid rivalry at this point". She admitted feeling down Sakura nodded sadly at her old friend.

"I honestly don't know if I could, but Hinata everyone but Naruto knows she loves him. Madly loves him like I still do Sasuke. It wasn't Sasuke's status or even his looks that drew me to him. I honestly don't know what it was really. Hinata's in the same bout I guess she sees something in Naruto like I do Sasuke. Unlike me though she'll have to kill the man she loves". They were heartbroken for the Hyuga girl. "I honestly don't know if I could. I have thought about it for Naruto's sake more then anything". She admitted surprising them as she looked down sadly. "You actually have?". Lee asked she nodded. "I've watched them for years Lee since Sasuke challenged him to that fight on the hospital roof. Sasuke was going crazy after that bite. Naruto put himself through to much trying to get him back". Sakura wanted to cry now.

"When he nearly killed Naruto it destroyed me. Seeing Naruto covered in bandages I couldn't believe it was Sasuke that did it". She explained sadly. "Naruto still didn't want to abandon him still fought tooth and nail to get him back. I honestly don't know how he did it and now I know everyone blames me for it, because I was weak". She was completely ashamed of herself it also shamed them. "I know everyone's opinion of me is low right now, I'm not in love with Naruto even after everything he's done for me. Doesn't mean I don't love him at all". They looked at her sadly in understanding as a tear fell from her eye.

"I'm sorry Sakura". Neji said softly Sakura shook her head. "It's not like I haven't contributed to everyone's opinions of me. Still Hinata didn't deserve that it's braking my heart just thinking about Naruto. I can imagine what's she's going through". She explained Tenten and Neji looked at each other sadly. "I thought about everything with Naruto. I even had a plan whether it worked or not to brake his word. I doubted it would work still it's to late now". She admitted they looked at her a little stunned. "Before you all ask I know Naruto's word is iron clad I know everyone would judge me, but I just wanted my best friend safe and happy for once in his life". She shook sadly pre-ashamed of the supposed crime she never commented. "I don't want to do it I'm praying I'll wake up any minute now for this fucking nightmare, but I trust Tsunade's judgment but please don't think it doesn't hurt me to". She begged they nodded sympathetically at her. "It brakes my heart even more that Hinata has to help". Everyone was thinking about Hinata tearfully they honestly doubted if they could kill the love of their lives either.

"I need you all to promise me if you see her hesitate please don't bring it up". She asked they were surprised to hear that. "It's going to be dark I'm hoping no one will notice who did what but everyone will be watching me. I know they will but Hinata just being there will brake her and hopefully prove her loyalty whether she attacks or not. She doesn't deserve to be called at traitor so please look out for her". Sakura begged her heart broken they looked at each other then at her and nodded. "Ok…should we tell her?". Tenten asked Sakura shook her head. "With Jiraiya around id rather not risk it. Naruto whether he's possessed or betrayed us or anything else. It was because of Konoha and….because of me". She shook braking down slightly Lee put a hand on her shoulder. Sakura was believing the opinions of her now it hurt them she felt so guilty. "I don't want him to suffer he deserves better but when have to give him everything before Hinata gets to him". She ordered they nodded it broke them. "Ok…we have a meeting with Guy so we'll have to go…I'm sorry again whether you want it or not". Neji said weakly as walked off with his team. "I..I hope we don't see him today". Ino said Sakura was thinking about her blonde teammate. "He has a hobbit of just popping up Y'Know". She said holding her tears Ino nodded weakly.

Naruto in his regular orange outfit he got from Jiraiya was walking around the village ignoring the glares pointed at him. He was on his way to Ichiraku's lost in thought, he noticed people nodded at him to some even smiled it surprised him. It distracted him enough that he bumped it to someone turning the corner. "Hey watch it...Naruto". It was Sakura along with Ino. "Oh hey Sakura-chan Ino how's it going?". He asked in his usual happy self the two girls looked at him not knowing what to say to their future target. Naruto looked at them puzzled but ignored it. "I'm going to get some ramen would you like to join? I haven't seen the others today". The two young ladies were even more worried till Sakura forced small false smile "Sure we can do that". She said trying to mask the heartache Naruto smiled. "Great". Naruto said excitedly he grabbing them by the hands a racing down to the place he feels most at home.

The Ichiraku ramen stand.

Teuchi was cooking for some customers until Naruto walked it with the girls with a glare a man snarled. "Just once I'd like to come here with out that thing showing up". The others nodded in agreement the girls were upset Tenchi looked at the man casually. "Let me solve that problem for all of you then. GET OUT AND DON'T COME BACK" Teuchi shouted angrily the man and his friends were shocked at that. "You'd throw us out over that monster?". Naruto's head lowered sadly the girls didn't know what to do. "Of course I would unlike you people he's not an asshole now OUT". Teuchi said with finality the customers glared angrily.

"He's got a point you know". A shinobi said surprising everyone especially Naruto. "I've seen him in action during the Sky attack saved a dozen lives mine included. Carried me to Konoha hospital with a pile of other people with his clones. Never mind the invasion and all the stories I've been hearing so show some respect". He ordered grinning at Naruto showing the scar on his throat from a tracheotomy. Naruto smiled at him the girls saw the pride he had at saving a life. "Whatever probably wanted to throw everyone off his trail. You're a moron if you by the lies about him". He accused Naruto frowned Sakura glared. "Like how you said you fought bravely for Konoha during the invasion when I saw you hiding like a pussy. You were crying till the advisers jumped in and saved your ass". The uniformed shinobi countered making him flinch. The shinobi payed for his meal. "I'd rather have one Naruto in a fight then twenty of you cowards any day". He said nodding at Naruto with respect before leaving. "Good now we know you're a asshole and a cowered I don't server either now get the fuck out of my stand". He ordered they angrily left but Teuchi was far from caring and with a complete 180 in personality. He looked at Naruto and company with a smile. "Naruto my boy how are you today?". He asked Naruto put his brave face on. "I'm alright Uncle T just here to get some romen with some friends". Teuchi smiled at him.

"Stupendous you and two lovely ladies". He turned then stopped for a moment and was worried . "Oh dear your not taking after that fool Jiraiya are you?". The two girls blushed and Naruto waved that thought out of his Uncle figures head. "Please I wouldn't be like that". He assured. "I'm glad to hear that". Ayame said coming out of the storage room. "Hi Ayame Nii-chan". Naruto waved happily. "Hey Naruto-Kun you don't know how worried I was for you. I thought Jiraiya would make you help with his research". She said frightened for her little brothers innocence Naruto smirk. "He tried but I prefer the unedited version better". When everyone looked at him confused Naruto smiled and for the next hour Naruto told them about the times Jiraiya got caught peeping. Their favourites were when Naruto sabotaged Jiraiya while he did it. They laughed at the stories like they were there with him.

"And then when they finally let him go he was stripped to his boxers with pervert written on his chest". Naruto finishing his last story as his listener were in tears laughing so hard. "Yep hahaha that sounds like Jiraiya alright". Tenchi said wiping a tear from his eye. "Go ahead with your friends Naruto it's on the house". Naruto looked at him unwillingly. "Are you sure Uncle I can pay". Naruto informed everyone's eyes widen as they saw the fat stack of cash in his frog wallet. Sakura was actually going to pay for him. "Wow thats a lot I thought Jiraiya would have swiped it again". Sakura said Naruto grinned.

"I started hiding my money better it's also why I kept sabotaging him". Naruto explained Sakura smiled at that. "Maybe I can get you something for all the times you payed. Besides I'll find something you'll like eventually". Naruto offered Sakura was internally broken Naruto then smiled. "I'll tell you what I'll pay for Sakura-chan and Ino and a tip ok?". Teuchi was dumbfounded. "Aww ok". was Teuchi's intelligent charismatic and entrepreneurial response. "Great here you go bye Nii-chan uncle". Naruto said as he exited the stand Teuchi waved them off dumbly and counted the money and smiled proudly at Naruto's tip. He payed for his meals with interest and even the three costumers that left. "Naruto always a good kid and best customer". He said with a chuckle.

Sakura and Ino had a great time with Naruto but inside they felt nothing but guilt as they walked with him. They noticed more of the glares sent his way now. They also saw the smiles Naruto spent years earning they were so distracted by them. They almost didn't notice Naruto stopping and turn to them. "What is it Naruto?". Ino asked Naruto just tried to came up with the right words. "I just wanted to thank you. The both of you for today I had a great time but I got to go. I almost forgot I told Shino I'd help him find some more bugs for his collection I'll see you two later". He waved and was about to turn and leave when he heard. "Wait Naruto". Sakura said getting Naruto's attention. "What is it Sakura-Chan?". He asked she was looking for the words. "Well um.. Ino can help Shino with his bugs we should hang out more". Sakura said Ino nodded she hated bugs but right now she wanted to get out of there. Naruto did like the idea but had to turn her down.

"I'd like that Sakura-Chan I really would but I gave my word and I never go back on it". He informed Sakura nodded in understanding. "Ok Naruto I know it is your ninja way". She said holding her sadness in. "But there's nothing in your ninja way that says you can't take a rain check". Ino said trying to find a loophole in Naruto's iron clad mantra confusing him. "What do you mean Ino?". He asked intrigued. "Look it's not that often you get to see Sakura anymore with the training you do. This mite be your last chance to do so and it's for a full day to". She said trying to persuade him hating how she worded it. Sakura desperately wanted to smack her but held it in.

"I understand that but Shino has my word and I—". Naruto didn't finish his sentence because out of no where the man himself appeared making them jump. "Something came up can't go have a good day". Shino said quickly then vanished before his nerves left him. The dumbfounded group snapped out of it. "We really should tie a bell around that guy". Naruto said then smiled. "I guess I'm free". Sakura smiled with Ino. "Great you two have fun I'll see you later". Ino was going home where she wouldn't be seen for a couple of days. "So where do you want to go Naruto?". Sakura asked "I know just the place". Naruto said with a smile.

Atop the Hokage monument 4ths head dusk.

Naruto and Sakura were sitting on the 4ths head something she found a little sacrilegious but wasn't to worried about it. The two were watching the sun set talking about where 3 years apart had gotten them. Naruto sat fascinated by her stories about training with Tsunade and she in turn did the same. "Really you broke you hand 16 times?". Naruto asked feeling the phantom pain in his own hands at the thought.

"Yep and now I can brake boulders with a single punch and still do delicate surgery". Sakura said fist in the air and a big smile on her face. Naruto found it cute as always. "I'm impressed all I really have is the Rasengan and shadow clones. Pervy Sage did what he could but I'm not that talented Y'Know". He looked down a little ashamed with the lack of other skills. "Don't sell yourself short Naruto how many times did you save our lives with those clones, and the Rasengan is the 4th's own legendary technique. You learned from a Sannin and the toad contract don't forget that you have a lot to your name Uzumaki Naruto". She said with her own type believe it grin Naruto had blush on his face at the kind words.

"Thanks Sakura-Chan". He looked over at the stars they talked through the sunset. "It's getting late I should walk you home". Sakura flinched at that she may not love Naruto but she didn't want their time to end now but it was getting late. "Ok Naruto let's go". She said softly she then got and idea. "How about a photo to commemorate today?". She asked surprising him as she sat between he's legs leaning against his chest making him blush. "Sakura-Chan". He said embarrassed she grinned taking out a camera. "Come on don't be shy". She ordered he smiled and wrapped his arms around her waist resting his chin on her shoulder smiling happily as she snapped the photo. "There we go one for each of us". Sakura said with a smile she said the soft loving and trusting look in Naruto's eyes she smiled heartbroken. "Ok let's go big guy". She ordered helping him up.

The street.

The two continued walking through the village telling stories and Sakura laughing with him all the way. Especially when they remembered pranking Kakashi together. By hinging in to characters from all his being late excuse and playing all his scenarios out in a single day. "My favourite had to have been when we were the two kids making him get the cat up that pole. Man she scratch him horribly". Sakura said they laughed hard together at that. "The look on his face when you called him old man". Naruto said chuckling Sakura grinned. When they reached her door both frowned. The time together was so good both started walking slower to keep it going. "Good night Sakura-Chan I had a great time". He said with a warm smile and all of it hurt her on the inside to see it. She reached over and hugged him so tight he couldn't breathe.

"Thank you Naruto for everything you've done for me. I want you to know how much I appreciate you". Tears went down her eyes but he couldn't see them he hugged her back. "I'll always be there for you Sakura-Chan you don't have to worry about that Y'know". He said softly she broke contact. He gave a backhanded waved as he walked away. A genuine smile on his face that she saw because his head was turned to her. "See you around Sakura-Chan". He said with a warm glowing to him as he left when she entered her house she closed the door ran to her bed and cried herself to sleep. What neither knew was that they were being watched not just by Zetsu but by others.

"I've regretted asking him to bring Sasuke back since the valley. I even thought about confessing my love to Naruto and killing Sasuke myself Y'Know". She admitted surprising them she looked at Jiraiya. "Every time I saw Sasuke I saw less of my love and more of a monster. I was destroyed when Sasuke left I wasn't allowed to join the team either. So I asked Naruto to bring him back not thinking it would be his life goal. Best friend or not that's what people don't get Naruto was the physical embodiment of Kakashi's creed. He'd never abandon anyone whether he loved me or not". She looked down sadly Kakashi was in tears. "If the situation was reversed like I said I have no doubt Kiba would of had to make the same promise to Hinata and I would have asked Sasuke to the same thing for Naruto. I didn't love Naruto didn't mean I didn't care for him. If Lee or Neji ran off Tenten would have told Shikamaru to fuck off and joined anyway, just because they were teammates, but it wasn't it was Sasuke. So I was painted as a villain". She explained looking at Jiraiya angrily. "You and this asshole think I'd just sacrifice him for a laugh or a crush. Well both of you can fuck off". Sakura said return Jiraiya's anger now making him flinch.

"A fucking whiner like you would probably be pissed off that I'd tell him I love him just so he'd brake his word, but I loved him enough to keep him alive and would sacrifice my only chance to get Sasuke back Jiraiya". Jiraiya flinched again Kisame grinned with his back turned. "Do you know how many times I rejected his gifts so he'd return them to get his money back? How often I'd accept going out to ramen with him? How many times I'd pay for his ten bowls to my one when you'd swipe his money?". She asked angrily Jiraiya was ashamed of him judgement now. "The absolute embarrassment on his face the shame he had because he wanted to impress me. He started hiding his money from you because of it. What you thought was doing the right thing, was embarrassing to him and an insult to me. Do you even still have it or did you spend it on opium you fucking junkie?". She asked making Kakashi and Tsunade Jiraiya looked down sadly.

"I still have it nothing was touched I swear". He defeated Sakura glared. "I don't trust that statement anymore then I trust Tsunade. I say give it to the Naruto initiative before you smoke or drink it away". She ordered angrily biting back. "Sakura please-". Tsunade started. "Go fuck yourself Tsunade. I'm sick of whiny bastards judging me with no Information. I've been haunted with everything I've done to Naruto since our childhood to when you forced us to kill him". She said angrily trying not to yell so the others wouldn't hear. "This piece of shit says I took after you but In a sober reality I took after him. I trusted my mentor when it came to Naruto now I have nothing but regret. I finally got that one eyed asshole back and don't want him anymore. My name is dragged through the dirt by hypocrites and lost the only teammate that mattered. All because I trusted you". She said angrily Tsunade was in tears.

"I loved him enough not to lead him on I have no idea nor do I care how Tsunade treated you now because of your rant, but I wasn't like that with him till I kept seeing him braking down every time he went after Sasuke". She spat Sasuke's name out like she tasted something gross. "I was willing to spend the rest of my life with him and help him get over it, or accept his hatred when he found out I tried to kill the bastard. Not out of pity but because I cared about him. If he still wanted me I'd even eventually be in love with him for something more then a best friend Kami knows he earned more then that". She looked down sadly she missed Naruto more then anything. "I honestly don't know what he saw in me either Jiraiya but I wasn't going to lead him on like you accused me of doing". She said scoldingly to him.

"Hinata couldn't say two words to him with out fainting. I hoped she'd finally snap out of it and fucking say it already. I was going to spell it out for him but I knew he wouldn't buy it". She said tearfully Jiraiya was sad for her now. "I even hoped he'd take Shion up on her offer. Instead he rejected a beautiful priestess and possibly being co-ruler of a fucking nation for me, then Amaru jumps after him when he fell from the sky fortress. That was something none of us could do and still he wanted me". She glared angrily at Jiraiya in tears. "Do you honestly think Naruto would go for a marriage offer to a girl he never met before? No he wouldn't not just for me but because he'd find it disgusting, because Naruto is a far better man then you will ever be". She said in a rage now Jiraiya merely nodded.

"I'm sorry Sakura". Jiraiya said broken he pulled out his flask he looked at it sighing he really needed at drink. "Jiraiya if you need a drink so badly go back to Konoha". Sakura ordered coldly he shook under her glare. "I…I just need a swig". He defeated Sakura glared harder. "You're shacking you're angry at everything. I don't trust you to keep what we know a secret. You're a burden on this you want love so badly Jiraiya well here's some tuff love then. Either sober up and be smart or leave because the last thing we need is a drunk with a death wish". Sakura said plainly making him flinch Kisame grinned. "She has a point you. I'm starting to sympathize with oldman Kakuzu". He commented Jiraiya was ashamed of himself right now.

His mouth was dry his vision was blurry he felt like throwing up he smelled horrible his hair was greasy and he was shaking uncontrollably. He hadn't even eaten anything solid in days so he wasn't fit for a ship. He looked at Sakura then Tsunade and finally Kisame's back. "If I don't go will you keep the location a secret?". Jiraiya asked weakly disgusted with himself Kisame shrugged. "Nah not unless they don't follow orders". Kisame assured Jiraiya nodded. "I'll escort them to Wave then and see them off. Sakura's right I'd be a burden". He admitted tearfully looking at Sakura. "Please just get us that location and I'll be in your debt". He begged Sakura fought the burning in her nose from the Sannin's stench and hugged him. "I will". She promised letting him go Kisame was internally chuckling. "So who's next?". Kisame asked looking at Tsunade who sighed. "What do you want to know?". She asked holding her temper. "How about when you promoted him and how you made the stunt double". Kisame ordered Tsunade sighed heartbroken.

Flashback.

Naruto was going to see the Hokage. "I wonder what granny Tsunade wants to see me about Kakashi-Sensai didn't give me any details". Naruto was thinking to himself as he was walking down the hall. He noticed the same old glares he always got as he walked by the people. Though to his surprise a few people actually nodded or waved at him to. "Are people finally acknowledging me?". Naruto asked himself it made him smile. He saw Shizune who gave him a smile. "Hello Naruto-Kun how are you?". He returned the smile he was feeling great right now. "Hey Shizune I'm good granny wants to see me about something you have any ideas what for?". He asked Shizune flinched a bit. "Is it time?". She thought worryingly but kept the act. "No I have no idea". She said keeping the smile on Naruto shrugged then had a spark his eye of realization. "Oh maybe it's new mission or maybe they finally, found Sasuke I'll have to find out bye Shizune". He said running down the hall she waved at him but when she lost site, she let out a sad sigh. "Goodbye Naruto". She walked slowly back to her office saddened at what was going to happen.

Tsunade was at her desk gathering every last nerve she possibly had. She had fought wars she had faced Honzo the Salamander. She was trained by the God of Shinobi himself but this was something that hurt her. It hurt her as much as the lost of her lover and little brother. What can she say how much more loss can she bare. The door bursted open loudly startling her. "Granny you wanted to see me". He shouted scaring her. "N..Naruto?". She said he looked at her strangely. "What's wrong granny Tsunade?". She looked at him for a moment in a daze. "It's nothing what can I do for you?" She asked with a smile Naruto was confused. "You called me remember?". He asked worried she got her head together and controlled her emotions. "Right I did sorry I have a mission for you". This got Naruto's attention neither knew the fox was suspicious right now. "What kind of mission is it about Sasuke?". Naruto asked attentively. "No it's about Wave". Tsunade corrected. "Wave what going on there?". He asked puzzled Tsunade wanted to just hug him she wanted to ditch Konoha again and run of with Naruto Shizune and Jiraiya right now, but couldn't no matter how much she wanted to.

"We have reports from Jiraiya's spy network that some of Gato's old henchmen are planning to attack it. I want you there to stop them". Naruto's eye widen as well as the foxes. "R-really? Me really? But I'm just a Genin who do I have coming with me and why me?". He asked Tsunade forced a proud smile. "You're going with the rest of the Konoha 11 as well as Kakashi and Jiraiya". She answered heartbroken by the smile he had on. "Since you know the land the best and also have trained with Jiraiya. Also giving everything you've done for Konoha I'm giving you a premonition straight to Jonin and making you the leader. Just remember the mission is classified till competition you can never be to careful". Tsunade's inner self was crying at the happiness and pride in his eye. Naruto couldn't have been happier if he tried. If he really is the Kyuubi he did his homework.

"I can't believe it I'm one step closer to being Hokage this is AMAZING". He yelled jumping up and down. The nerves on the fox were on over kill now. Naruto stopped how ever worrying her. "What about Sai he's a teammate and Yamato-Sensai?". He asked she grinned. "They're on extended missions right now. You'll also need this". She explained Naruto nodded in understanding when he saw his new Jonin vest he smiled. Tsunade watch him put it on and stand tail and proud. Tsunade always wanted to see this day but given the circumstances now it broke her. Naruto looked at her and gave Tsunade and a bow. "Thank you Hokage-Sama. I promise no one will know". He said respectfully then out of nowhere jumped to her and gave her a massive hug. "I promise I'll be ready for anything and make Konoha and you proud Y'Know". He ran out the door the happiest he could ever be. Tsunade had tears going down her eyes. "It's for the best it's for the best it's for the best". She said over and over to herself as she broke down. As the days passed the fox couldn't loss the feeling something was wrong as Naruto met his friend.

Root HQ.

Danzo gave Sai a month long mission to Sound to preform recon with a secondary mission to assassinate Sasuke. Danzo was getting legitimately worried about Sai's allegiance but trusted his indoctrination training. If it turned out Sai wasn't loyal anymore it was just another reason why Naruto needed to die. He was at his office when his door was kicked off it's hinges and a dozen of his agents went flying in to a wall. "Hokage-Sama". Danzo greeted the angry former Sannin turned his superior. "Get the fuck up and show me the bodies". She demanded angrily Danzo merely nodded standing up grabbing his cain and limping out his office.

Tsunade never thought she'd be in Root HQ the exact location was a mystery to just about everyone but the Hokage's. No maps no paperwork No nothing a real place that doesn't exist. A hole network of underground tunnels all around Konoha a dark place where the shadows were alive. As was supposed to tradition the Hokage was supposed to take his successor down to the darker side of Konoha to meet Danzo. Hiruzen did it for Minato who was supposed to do it for his successor. To Danzo it was to establish the relationship between the two Konoha Kage. The shadow of the shadow the darker of the Kage. To Hiruzen it was so his successor would know that Danzo needed to have an eye kept him. That you should never fully trust Danzo. This tradition died as quickly as it came after the Uchiha massacre.

Hiruzen tried to close the foundation down and strip Danzo of council power, after Danzo made Itachi go rouge. He then had the Root members placed in ANBU and stripped the foundation of all financial assets. Never once thinking his two teammates his best friends at the time supported Root with financial backing. Hiruzen knew they weren't fans of losing the foundation, even if they were ignorant to most of its dealings. The "former" agents also financed their one true Kage with their own well earned money. When Hiruzen died Danzo fully reestablished Root his agents returned vanishing from ANBU Service like the ghost people they are and he rigged everything up like Root never left at all. No one ever bothered trying to investigate the unknown organization and the only three alive, who could stop it worked to keep it alive. To day it's the powerful protectors of Konoha. In the future this organization will haunt everyone who knew about it.

"I'm glad you took my advice on the Kyuubi child to heart Hokage-Sama". Danzo said neutrally after a quiet walk down the hall. "Shut up it needs to be done I know this but shut up". Tsunade ordered Danzo wished he could just use Shisui's eye and straight up control her, but couldn't a lesser known fact was why Hiruzen had so many Hyuga bodyguards, was for things like this. Shisui's eye was the ultimate controlling Genjutsu tool. Hyuga's can detect if someone is effected by Genjutsu with their Byakugan by detecting the flow of Chakra. So Danzo had to use it suddenly activate it quickly then deactivate it leaving Tsunade and Jiraiya with a kind of sticking doubt in their minds. For three hole months Danzo did this for the good of Konoha. Now it was about to pay off.

He practiced with his prosthetic for years to hide it from the Byakugan. Ironically it was a Hyuga that helped him with none in Root Orochimaru volunteered his own student Hyuga Tarada to help. The young man was disgusted obviously but Trusted his mentor. So by simply not channeling Chakra to his wooden arm for the Byakugan to detect Danzo basically made his arm invisible to the Hyuga's. Since at the time they only saw chakra pathways Danzo didn't need to worry about his eye he'd do the same this to it. Ten 24/7 activated Sharingan was a blow to the chakra reserves so Danzo needed a shut off switch for them. Tarada was then sacrificed to Orochimaru as thanks for his loyal service.

The Foundation morgue.

Two bodies laid on a table the future body and face of Uzumaki Naruto. "Here you go Hokage-Sama". Danzo said as Tsunade inspected the "goods" the first was to be the body the man was probably 18-19 but he was the same height and build as Naruto which was all he needed to be though his hair was brown. The second made Tsunade want to cry. The body was of a 13 year old he looked eerily like her brother that she would sculpt in to looking like her son. It sicked her. "How do they look so fresh if they've be dead for three years?". Tsunade asked she didn't buy that they were Oto ninja.

"When Orochimaru was running the research and development department, he created a freezer to store the dead for long periods of time. By keeping them in what was the word he used again? Cryogenic Stasis he could keep them fresh for experiments". Danzo explained Tsunade hated her former teammate more now. "Do they have name's?". She asked Danzo shrugged. "No tags tattoos or anything to clue us in on their identity. I highly doubt Orochimaru even remembered he had them most of the time. Best not get attached to expendable assets". Danzo explained Tsunade wanting to kill this bastard She took out the scroll re-reading it then got to work. "Leave I want to be alone and I mean everyone". Tsunade ordered Danzo nodded snapping his fingers to make his agents join him.

Tsunade looked at the little boy in tears sending children to their death was right up Orochimaru's ally. Though at this moment who was she to talk. After memorizing the Jutsu Tsunade took out a photo from Naruto's shinobi ID file with him looking at the camera then looking to the right for reference. She heard it took hours because he wouldn't stop smiling. She looked at it sadly as her hands started glowing. "I'm so sorry". She said to the young boy in tears and placed a hand on his face. She felt the nerve endings soften so the face was mouldable like clay it grossed her out. She started massaging the cheeks moving them around stretching them out and squishing them till the looked like the photo. Then check the one where Naruto was facing right to see study the bridge of his nose. After hours of trail and error came the easy part focusing chakra to three of her fingers on each hand Tsunade traced three whisker marks one each cheek.

"My god". She said in tears looking at the 5foot 6 black haired Naruto in front of her. Now the worst part removal taking a scalpel Tsunade was a heavy heart cut around the face perfectly. The then slowly piled it off see the little guys facial muscles she wanted to throw up. She wanted out of this macabre art project now holding the face in her hands Tsunade put it on the other body. Focusing chakra with the Jutsu Tsunade grafted it on with amazing talent which disgusted her. She rubbed her hands in the dead man's hair changing it, from chocolate brown to Sunkissed blonde. She closed the eyes grafting them shut and looked at her masterpiece. She looked at it shaking braking down she couldn't believe it, it was heartbreakingly perfect she hated looking at it. She wheeled it back in to the freezer and took the younger man's body to the incinerator. She pray that the two young men she just desecrated would find peace the child most of all.

Danzo walked in to see the body as Tsunade prayed to the fire. Silently creeping in to the freezer he grinned at the corpse. "Perfect". He said turning he noticed Tsunade glaring at him. "Hokage-Sama excellent Job….". Tsunade grabbed him by the throat squeezing it Danzo couldn't breath he heard cracking as Tsunade pulled him out of the freezer and chock slammed him through the autopsy table. "It's off limits you disgusting fuck". Tsunade ordered as she kicked him making him fly in to the steel incinerator doors burning his back. "Got it?". She yelled angrily as Danzo caught his breath. "Yes Hokage-Sama". Tsunade nodded walking destroying everything and everyone one in her way from the morgue to the exit. She took the Jutsu with her she'd never allow Danzo to have this ability.

End of flashback.

Sakura shook as she heard the story tears fell from her eyes. Kakashi wanted to throw up in his mask Jiraiya finally drank from his flask and hugged Tsunade tearfully despite the smell Tsunade hugged him back. "Fuck". Kisame said simply even he found the story Sasori levels of disturbing the bridge felt longer then usual to him now. "Seeing what I created I couldn't sleep for days afterwards I drank more then Jiraiya ever did. When I finally stopped to punish myself I was far worse then Jiraiya was". Tsunade admitted in tears shaking. "Seeing everyone looked at that body with loving tears. I felt a piece of my soul die now we're going to get it again. Fuck I'm sick of this potion". She said tearfully.

"Knowing I put myself through all that for a lie knowing I ordered my baby boys death for nothing. A child I could have spent years with taking care for him till his father came home. A boy I grew to love now after so many wasted years of pitying myself. It was my braking point". She explained looking at Konohamaru. "I hope he lets go of his anger because I want Konohamaru to take this fucking hat away from me". She said tearfully shaking horribly. "Well we're nearly there got any good ones Kakashi?". Kisame asked Kakashi just looked down sadly he removed his mask showing his face Sakura was surprised. Kakashi's handsome face was sporting thick silver five o'clock shadow. "I finally showed him what I look like. Hee hee you should have seen his face. Especially when he figured out that I was Sukea the photographer". Kakashi said with a tearful smile as he recapped drinking again the day after Naruto's celebration party.

Flashback.

Kakashi was being carried by Naruto's clones he got hammered the next morning and got in to a fight. "Where am I where are we going?". Kakashi asked everything was blurry. "I taking you home Sensai I thought you had enough last night. What happened anyway?". Naruto asked Kakashi was confused. "What did I do?". He asked Naruto chuckled. "You threw a couple off Jonin threw a window". Naruto explained then frowned. "Had to pull you off of them. So I'll ask again what happened?". Kakashi started remembering and sighed drunk. "They saw you in your vest and got all bitchy. So I smacked them around a bit". Naruto chuckled at that. "I appreciate it, but you shouldn't going around attacking our comrades for something as dumb as an opinion you're better then that Y'Know". Naruto scolded a bit Kakashi stood up and shrugged uncaring. "I just had a small slip up won't happen again sir". Kakashi said Naruto chuckled as they approached Kakashi's place. "Are you ok Sensai you seem out of it?". Naruto asked Kakashi looked at him drunkenly sadly yet still alert enough not to give details.

"It's our mission coming up it just..it just brings back something's I'd rather forget Y'Know?". Kakashi started Naruto looked at him with concern. "When I was on team seven I wasn't the caring type. Sasuke and I had that in common more then I'd like to admit". Kakashi said sadly. "You and Sakura are just like Rin and Obito it's crazy". He said sadly looking at Naruto thinking about what Sakura said. "I never wanted to ignore either of you. I just saw Sasuke's obsession and didn't want it consuming him like it once did me". Kakashi said ashamed of himself. "What happened Sensai?". Naruto asked with concern Kakashi sighed. "I'd rather not…". Kakashi started as they neared his place. "Sensai you were there for us in your own way. Now as Captain of the next mission making me your superior officer, I order you to confide in me". Naruto said Kakashi couldn't help but laugh hearty at what he just heard as he got his door.

"Fine I suppose I have to fallow that order here let me get the door for you Naruto-Sama". Kakashi said opening his front door and gave a mock salute Naruto grinned and walked in. Naruto sat on the couch as Kakashi made some tea. "I honestly don't know where to start". Kakashi admitted Naruto nodded. "How about where you got your Nindo". Naruto suggested a creed like Kakashi's had to have a history all in its own. Kakashi looked down sadly. "My father Sakumo Konoha's white fang. Saved his entire squad at the cost of the time needed while doing so". Kakashi started confusing Naruto. "Because he saved them valuable information Konoha needed for an attack was now useless. So they blamed him for not thinking about the mission first. It shamed him to no end even the ungrateful bastards he saved disowned him". Naruto was shocked to hear that.

"When I was all of five I came home and found him lying on the ground he took his own life". He saw the tearful look in Naruto's eyes it broke Kakashi thinking he was confiding in the Kyuubi or another traitor student but couldn't help himself. "After that I worked on overdrive graduated that same year and was promoted to chunin at six". Kakashi said focus on the pot when he turned he suspected a look of astonishment from Naruto for graduating at such a young age. Instead he was greeted by a sad a disgusted one throwing him off. "They made you a Chunin at six when you just lost your father? That horrible". Naruto said sad for Kakashi confusing him.

"Why?". He asked Naruto gave him a sympathetic look. "Good or not that's to young of an age to be a Shinobi you were just a child for fuck sake". Naruto said angrily Kakashi frowned a bit Minato said the same thing. It's why Kakashi was put on team 7 to begin with despite his chunin rank. "Just like his father". Kakashi thought sadly as he poured the tea. "I guess you have a point most people would be impressed". Kakashi said Naruto nodded. "The same people who look at me and see a demon I imagine". Kakashi flinched heartbroken at that. "But let's not worry about other peoples nonsense please continue". Naruto ordered politely. "It's was me Minato-Sensai Rin and my best friend Obito. I only realized he was when it was far to late". Naruto gave him a sympathetic look. "He was crushed by a boulder saving our lives in the war. He did this right after a scolding he gave me about abandoning comrades". Naruto was surprised Kakashi chuckled at him.

"I wasn't always camaraderie first. When I was faced with either continuing the mission or saving Rin I choose the mission. That's when Obito the hyperactive overly jealous young man who dreamed of becoming Hokage told me, those who abandon a mission are trash but those who abandon their comrades are worse then trash. On that day my Nindo was born". Kakashi said tearfully remembering his old friend. "You two would have gotten along great". Naruto grinned at that as Kakashi rubbed his hand over his covered eye. "Gave me his Sharingan after I lost my original eye. Rin implanted it in to my head and copy cat Kakashi was born. I'd rip it out of my head if it meant bring them back". Kakashi said truthfully and tearfully looking at Naruto.

"Then there was Rin she was kidnapped by Kiri. They made her the new three tails Jinchuuriki". Naruto was shocked Kakashi just stared at him for a long silent moment and sighed. "Her seal was weak she was basically turned in to a bomb. I swear never to abandon a comrade and definitely not her. So I fought and killed a dozen Kiri shinobi. I was going to kill the commander with my Chidori but Rin…". Kakashi paused shaking in tears. "Rin jumped in front of it I…killed her. After that everything went blurry. I woke up surrounded by a field of dead and Rin's body disappeared". Naruto looked at him sadly he couldn't find the words. "I'm so sorry Sensai". Naruto said sincerely Kakashi didn't want to believe it but nodded in thanks anyway. "It was stuff like that which drew me to Sasuke to begin with. I just wanted him to know he had friends and people who cared about him, but much like bringing Rin home safe and sound I guess it didn't work". Kakashi said sadly Naruto looked at him.

"There's still good in the idiot it's why I keep going after him". Naruto explained Kakashi was surprised. "I know I gave my word to Sakura-Chan sure but I would have chased after him regardless of her. It's just who I am Y'Know". Kakashi was heartbroken the demon in front of him was quite the actor he didn't want to believe it but did. "He saved my life in Wave. He could have killed me in the valley but didn't. During the Sky attack he fought by my side like the old days. I know there's still a piece of my old dumbass buddy in there. He just needs a proper ass kicking to bring that Sasuke back". Naruto said with a believable grin.

"But revenge is all he wants Naruto I'm afraid we lost him to it". Kakashi asked Naruto shrugged uncaring. "I don't care that he wants revenge going through what he did who wouldn't? I just don't like his methods Y'Know". Naruto explained with a bit of wisdom Kakashi nodded in understanding. "Besides I'm basically the Guy to his Kakashi". Naruto joked Kakashi was confused making him chuckle. "I can only imagine what you're going through Sensai. You're right you and Sasuke have a lot in common". Kakashi frowned as Naruto grinned.

"But Bushier brow-Sensai always got your mind of it didn't he. The challenges the weird greeting you two have. He may be over the top but I see how thankful you are for him". Kakashi thought about his self perclaimed internal rival for a moment and nodded. "Who knows what you could've been with out someone there to stop you. I know it's stupid given everything he's done but I can take Sasuke out of it believe me on that". Naruto promised with so much conviction Kakashi couldn't and didn't want to believe it. "All you need to remember is that you'll always have people that care about you and you'll be fine. I'm on of them Y'Know". Naruto advised/enforced not knowing that he was singing his own death warrant. Kakashi was in tears for a moment then smiled for a moment.

"You know what my favourite memory of you three together was?". Kakashi asked getting Naruto's attention as he smiled and pulled his mask down surprising Naruto. "It was when you three wanted to know what I looked like". He said chuckling at Naruto's still stunned face. "What a minute a mark on your chin you were Sukea?". Naruto stated as Kakashi started to laugh. He felt so connected with The demon right now. Naruto couldn't help but join him. "I know not exactly buck teeth or huge lips but I hope you can finally sleep at night". Naruto grinned. "For the first time in years I'll sleep peacefully". Naruto said as they continued to laugh.

"I guess you rubbed off on me I just wanted to bond with and prank the three of you a little". Kakashi said with a fatherly smile Naruto smiled back at him. "I guess I did and I guess me and Sakura payed you back". Naruto said with a grin getting his attention. "The grandma that needed help with all her bags taken up that huge hill. The two kids with the cat up the pole any of this sound familiar?". Naruto asked Kakashi looked at him annoyed then cracked a grin the finally laughed. "I thought something was off with all that". Kakashi said with a laugh. Naruto grinned then frowned for a moment. "Can I get some advice Sensai?". Naruto asked Kakashi gave him his full attention this was a rare look for Naruto.

"Of course what is it?". Naruto was a little bashful. "Well….yesterday when I took everyone home. I noticed Hinata was the worst one out of all of you". Naruto started Kakashi was worried remembering who he was talking to now. "So I decided to take her and Neji home personally and she started getting chatty when Neji passed out". Kakashi was internally petrified now. "She told me she always loved me and she kissed me to". Naruto explained with a blush. "It was wet pretty sloppy and reeked of alcohol nothing like your books but I did like it. I always had a crush on Sakura but I know she'll never love me like I do her. We bonded a bit a couple of days ago but nothing happened I swear". Kakashi noticed Naruto was at a loss.

"Hinata didn't tell you anything else?". Kakashi asked digging for information incase Hinata drunkenly betrayed Konoha. Naruto chuckled awkwardly. "Told me she was sorry she didn't tell me earlier. Asked if we could run away together wouldn't let me go or stop kissing me till I said yes. I blame the booze myself". Naruto said sheepishly Kakashi heart shattered. "I mean Lee was basically doing the samething. I'm just glad he didn't try to kiss my clone….more then a few times anyway". Naruto tried to joke Kakashi chuckled a bit at that as Naruto looked down sadly. "I saw her this morning before your fight. I wanted to talk to her about it but I guess she blanked it all out. I'm planning to try again after the mission I'm just really confused right now". Naruto said feeling terrible all of a sudden Kakashi gave him a sympathetic look.

"W..why?". Kakashi asked softly. "Because people are noticing me now a Jonin even jumped to my defence when I was being called a monster at uncle T's place". Naruto started. "That's a good thing isn't it?". Kakashi asked shaking Naruto nodded still depressed. "It is but I feel for every one person who likes me there's ten that still don't. I just don't want to put Hinata or Sakura through that if anything actually came out between me and Sakura. Even if I know it won't". Kakashi was on the verge of tears. "I mean being a teammate or a friend is one thing but a girlfriend. I just feel it could still be dangerous for them. I mean I've been trying to get Sakura for years but if I actually got her I'd be worried all the time. Even if she can destroy a mountain Y'Know". Kakashi finally let the tears fall he wanted to hug Naruto right now demon or not.

"I don't know what to do Sensai I mean. I just made Jonin and I need to focus on the mission I know this, but all I can think about is what Hinata told me". Naruto said sad and frustrated. "I just don't want to finally move on from Sakura after our moment. I was so happy with her I felt loved and she said she appreciated me". Naruto said sadly he hoped she confesses her love even if he knew she wouldn't. "But to now to just see Sakura as just a friend only to find out it's was only a stupid drunken slip up from Hinata. I don't know how I could process that or worse if I put Hinata in danger if she really does want a relationship with me". Naruto admitted Kakashi was at a loss for words as Naruto sighed depressed. Naruto was never like this with anyone. "Ive been alone most of my life all I ever wanted was a mom and dad. The older I got I wanted someone I could love and would do the same for me Y'Know". Naruto admitted sadly.

"Iruka-Sensai and Uncle T and Ayame-Nii-Chan were the closest thing I had to a family for years. I don't know what my real parents were like. For all I know dad really was a cowered and more was a whore. I don't know anything about the Uzumaki name like at all but it's all I got from them". Naruto said sadly shaking abit himself Kakashi was thinking of Minato and Kushina and was totally broken. "I mean I haven't told anyone this but I trust you Sensai. I just don't know I mean Hinata's from a big important family. Her dad's a dick sure but I'm a no body just a clanless orphan. It's why I always wanted to be Hokage just to be acknowledged". Naruto said it was the most human Kakashi ever saw Naruto but he thought of being controlled or manipulated like Tsunade said he might be. Still it was working.

"Hell the shadow clone Jutsu was the closest thing, I felt to actually have company as pathetic as that sounds. So to hear someone tell me they truly love me is a little shocking Y'Know". Kakashi's entire being felt like collapsing after hearing that. He'd couldn't blame Naruto anymore for falling under the Kyuubis influence with the life he has. Kakashi would have done it years ago he guessed he did owe Guy for that. "I mean Hinata and I we can both be a little awkward sometimes, me with my goofy personality and her fainting all the time and her shyness but it is cute. She apparently adopted my Nindo to she soft spoken but vary intelligent I see it in her eyes. She even tried to help me in the exams I still use that healing ointment she gave me be carrying it for years actually. Then seeing her fighting Neji putting everything she had in to it. Hell I promised to help her free the branch that's got to mean something right? I started thinking about all the little things about her to. I just honestly want to believe her but I don't know". Naruto said he knew he wasn't good at this. "I love Sakura Kakashi I'm always going to love her, but I know I should move on I'm just confused about everything right now. Should I give me and Hinata a chance? I know I'll being Sasuke back and once that happens….I just don't want the time Sakura and I had together to just be forgotten the moment he does". Naruto said sadly. "I just need some form of guidance right knew. You knew Lord 4th what would he say?". Naruto asked completely desperate right now.

Kakashi was digging through every piece of advice he ever got from Minato to Hiruzen and couldn't find anything good enough. "Just…just believe in her". Kakashi sputtered out holding it all in he was talking more to himself then Naruto and was also confusing Naruto. "Who?". Naruto asked. "Hinata dummy everyone knows she loves you. You didn't have to be a Nara to figure that much out". Kakashi said vary emotional right especially when Naruto smiled softly at him. "Guess I was a little slow to catch on eh?". Kakashi nodded tearfully at him. "And don't think Sakura will ever forget about you and I'll put my word on that. She wants to see you as happy as you made her". Kakashi promised completely tortured right now.

"Alright then after the mission I'll talk to Hinata. Good thing it's nearly a week away. It'll give me time to find the right words". Naruto said with a little more pep to him now Kakashi chuckled. "Don't you normally just talk and change hearts and inspire people why should now be any different?". Naruto shrugged. "This is more complicated this time I'm not getting in to a fight first. I hope not anyway I don't think I can take her". Kakashi laughed hard at that as he saw Naruto stand up and hug him. "Thank you for listening Sensai". Naruto said Kakashi hugged him back tightly Naruto couldn't see the shell shocked guilty look in his teary eyed face. "You to thank you..little brother". He said tearfully as drying his eyes before Naruto broke the hug and smiled at him at being called that. "I got to go thanks again big brother". Kakashi's heart was in a million pieces now as Naruto left. He broke down immediately after that.

"I woke up the next morning surrounded by empty bottles. Ten years worth of untouched booze, I got from birthdays and my ANBU retirement party all drank in a single night. Destroyed my house in the process to". Kakashi told the tearful Konoha listeners. "Had an amazing dream that night to. We ganged up and killed Danzo instead. Hinata and Naruto worked out and he became Hokage even Sasuke was back and with Sakura". Kakashi finished glaring hatefully at Tsunade and Jiraiya. "Instead of that amazing dream coming true. I'm now pledged by nightmares of Demon Naruto coming back to rape and kill us all. Thanks for that you piece of shit". Jiraiya flinched Kakashi then looked at Tsunade angrily. "If I didn't listen to you two bastards my little brother would still be alive. Instead I took it as a sign that I was being manipulated by the Kyuubi". Kakashi said full of rage and shame braking her.

"As heartbreaking as it sounds. I didn't want to believe the story about Hinata but I honestly did. I asked her if anything went on with Naruto for her safety and she was drawing a total blank. I thought Naruto was getting suspicious and wanted to brake us apart. So I never told anyone till now". Kakashi said Sakura looked down sadly. "He was actually moving on? Hinata finally told him only for this my god". She said even more heartbroken then she thought possible Kakashi nodded. "It was the most human I ever saw a single person be. Confused about the situation worried of if Hinata was just drunk and not meaning it. Completely scared for both of you if anything actually happened with his bigots around, and depressed that he felt that way at all". He said in tears Naruto trusted Kakashi with everything that day and Kakashi killed him regardless. "He never asked Iruka or Teuchi like he said, he trusted me with this. He's loneliness his paranoia of Konoha the real reason behind wanting to be Hokage. He trusted my advice even if I was just assuring myself. Then to see that dead broken look on his face before he jumped. I fucking hate you both for this". Kakashi said angrily about to brake down Sakura held him to keep him from falling.

"Well I think we all made some terrific progress today. I laughed you cried now we group hug". Kisame said with a grin everyone was to broken to glare at him. "Why did you want to know all of this was it really just to torture us?". Sakura asked in tears. "Pretty much like I said I was just curious. I was trained to kill comrades you on the other hand weren't. So I just wanted to see it from the other side". Kisame answered then chuckled. "Maybe next time we go body hunting together I'll bring the Hyuga's and Cyclops jr. or maybe the Nara bet they have a good before we killed him moment especially the girl. After your little story Kakashi". Kisame said with a chuckle Kakashi was suspicious. "I don't believe that you were digging for something". Kakashi said calling him out Kisame shrugged. "We've all been tools in someone else game Kakashi. Itachi's was Danzo's and I was Fuguki's till I found out he was selling information to you lot which made me kill my Cypher Division. He got them killed so I killed him right back. Then I found out about Yagura being controlled by your buddy Obito. Who back then was going by Madara. I was vary disillusioned with everything by then I knew your eyeball twin was using me I just didn't care anymore". Kisame said with a chuckle.

"I was even the only Akasuki member that knew about his real plan of the eye of the moon he called it. Fucking nuts I know but a world of truth appealed to me. Besides I got nothing but lies from everyone else so I was sick of it". The Konoha group was shocked. "Eye of the moon?". Kakashi asked he always wanted to know what drove Obito to do what he did. "Yep an infinite Tsukuyomi that reveals one's deepest desire. Mine was a world of truth looking back on it, finding a world of truth in a Genjutsu was kind of dumb". He said with a chuckle. "Still I might have actually died to make it happen if Itachi didn't convince me to turn". He said with a grin he actually missed his old partner. "How did he do that". Jiraiya asked Kisame chuckled.

"Trapped my blue ass in a Tsukuyomi after hours of fighting him. Saw a world where I did everything right the first time. Backing my team escaping Ibiki's squad together killing Fuguki. Selling out Obito and freeing Yagura. Braking over fifty some odd years of Madara controlling Kiri. The truth I actually wanted". Kisame explained they all just stared at his back. "Then I relived killing my team for seventy-two long ass hours. Fucker was proving a point". Kisame said with a grin. "I couldn't have my little paradise it would never be real anyway. So Itachi forced me to see the reality caused by Madara's lies. I had to simply live with what I did Miru and the others were dead and no false paradise was going to bring them back". Kisame frowned since they couldn't see him. "Miru?". Kakashi asked Kisame looked at him over his shoulder grinning. "The Rin in my life". He stated simply Kakashi was shocked as Kisame chuckled.

"It was only our first meeting wasn't head over heels for her but she was nice. The Hoshigaki Clan pride ourselves on violence but she wasn't scared and trusted me to protect them". Kisame said with a nonchalant shrug. "Still see the shocked look on her face from time to time but I'm new at this hole feeling guilty thing". He said with a chuckle. "Still I don't know who I want to kill more. Madara even though he's already dead I did get to piss on his corpse. Obito for continuing his asshole-ish legacy or Zetsu". Kisame said pondering it was a tuff selection for him. "Zetsu? Itachi told me about him once". Jiraiya said he really wanted another drink and needed a distraction. "Yep the cocksucker that was controlling Obito". Kisame informed surprising them.

"Itachi did his homework before convincing other Members to turn on them especially on Zetsu. Found Madara's old hideout in Kiri back when he was was the thrid Mizukage". This surprised everyone as Kisame chuckled. "Zetsu himself said Madara planned for you to kill Rin. If she didn't make to Konoha to explode". Kakashi shook wide eyed as Kisame grinned at him. "Apparently Ol'Obito saw you do it. Guess he lacked context". Kakashi was completely lost now as Kisame started.

Finial flashback.

Kirigakure.

Kisame and Itachi were walking around fallowing a masked women in black. During his investigation she contacted him with an offer, information for trade what little she gave him it was enough for Itachi to accept. Right now he was following close behind her under the guise of if it was a trap he'd be close enough to grab and kill her. Which was half the truth the other half was he could barely see four feet in front of him anymore. The women at five feet way was a black smudge to him and to his own disguised surprise he couldn't sense her presence at all. It was like the stories he heard about Second Tsuchikage Mu the ghost of Iwa. "So what do we call you kid?". Kisame asked she shrugged. "My on the job name is Fang". She replied lazily. "And you're off the job name?". He asked she shrugged again.

"Classified as long as I'm being payed call me what ever you want". She replied just as lazily making him grin. "Are we nearly there?". Itachi asked Fang nodded. "Your granddad was a tricky fucker still has nothing on mine though. Had a hole lot of tunnels built under Kiri this is the only entrance. He's still down there to surround by these weird white planet people. They're not that tuff looking easy enough to get around if you're trained and not to bright either but do have the numbers. My last count was at least a hundred and sixty-five but they seem to be grewing". Fang warned Itachi nodded. "And Madara himself?". Kisame asked curiously. "I think you can take him. He's not as spry as he used to be". She said with a grin as she cut some bushes to a very well hidden staircase.

"Here you go Casa de los Muertos Pendejo". The two Akasuki members looked at her strangely. "Ya meet plenty of interesting people in the life I meant Madara's place". They then nodded in understanding making her grin in amusement. "So I got you here now what do you have for me?". She asked Itachi handed her a scroll. "The complete library of Sasori with his custom handmade parts and an extra four-hundred-thousand". Itachi said she nodded. "You just made my newest client vary happy. Doubt he'll want the people puppet shit but hey I promised him everything". She said with a shrug. "I'll be helping you out down there. Been wanting to fight those plant people anyway and you did unintentionally pay for protection". She informed Itachi handed her an envelope uncaring if he did already pay. He's dealt with Kakuzu long enough to know how to deal with the greedy. Even if they do honour a contract. "We don't need back up but for an extra pay can you tell us anything else about this location?". Itachi asked she nodded. "About a mile north of here is where Kakashi of the Sharingan lost his girlfriend Rin. Those plant guys hanging out down there are old vary old. I figure if they're anything like a tree the rings on their bodies mark their age. Though I'm not to sure but if I'm right a few of them date back to the death of the second and the rise of the mysterious thrid Mizukage". She started Itachi was mentally putting the pieces together.

"Madara himself is in the centre on a throne. The tunnels are pretty narrow and dark to if you want to be quiet stick to the shadows. The plant people can't see in the dark at least in my experience they can't they still use candles to. So you have plenty of quiet options". Itachi nodded Kisame frowned that wasn't his thing. "If stealth isn't your thing the throne room is the widest area down there. I recommend using fire Jutsu's manly in the tunnels use small swings and stab anyone that gets to close to thin their numbers while they're enclosed. They're basically made of wood so fire is a must use. I never seen them carrying any weapons so expect a fist fight with them. They do have toxins in their bodies you can smell it off of them so be sure to wear a mask". Itachi and Kisame realized they didn't have any face coverings.

"Also stay together I've seen them steal a person's identity all they need to do is touch you. Then everything even you're chakra signature is theirs. Kind of wish I could do that would make my job easier". She said with a grin the two nodded in understanding. "They also have basic wood style guess being plant people wood give you that, it's no where near the story on Hashirama but it's something". This mildly surprised them but they agreed with the logic.

"I I took the liberty of getting you some explosives I recommended using them in the rooms the the tunnels unless you want to bury yourselves. The tunnels are old made of stone but their cracking. So use fire that doesn't go boom at the end and you're golden. North is the bedroom area nothing interesting in there west is the lab and medical centre south is obviously the exit once you're in. So if you want to collapse something north and west is it just don't be in it when you do". She advised Itachi nodded it was smart as she tossed him a pouch of high explosives. "My own special little tickets guaranteed to send a Kage tower in to space". She informed with a grin Kisame smiled.

"Theirs a room in the laboratory but I wouldn't recommend going in there if you're easily disturbed". She continued making them curious. "If you get pushed back the throne room near the entrance is the widest area. More Kisame's style loads of swing space but you'll risk getting overwhelmed. I'm sure Samahada can go through walls with him swinging it but like I said it's the ceiling you need to worry about". Kisame grinned hoping for the throne room now. Itachi realized this person was really earning their pay.

"He's Library is to the east sorry I already nabbed his none Sharingan related Jutsu's replaced them with blank ones to cover my tracks of course. Doubt the plant guys know how to read never saw them open one after weeks of observation but they can count. Must be bored down there because they do count the scrolls in the library every so often, with out actually opening any". Itachi should be annoyed by the theft but he doubted Madara had anything in braille for him he also made a mental note to learn braille. "Why leave the Sharingan ones?". Itachi asked she shrugged. "Don't have a Sharingan myself, someone actually does look at them from time to time, so needed them to remain to not blow my actual thefts. Plus most clients treat them like a cheap novelty so they don't pay much regardless and you of course kind of ruined the market with the hole S-ranked criminal thing. No one wants to buy Uchiha stuff with you skulking around lost a fortune on T-shirt sales alone". She sarcastically explained Kisame grinned in amusement Itachi nodded in annoyed understanding.

"Besides I figured that was what you were after and just wanted to be adventurous which is why you didn't simply hire me to grab them for you. I may not respectfully watch my mouth like the others do but I don't betray my clients unless fucked over first either. So if you're really not interested let me know and I'll take them. I'll even cut you in to keep the peace between us". She offered. "I have need of them my apologies Fang-San but their mine". He enforced calmly and respectfully he can't read them but Sasuke could she nodded in understanding. "The other Jutsu's I would like as well but their not nearly as important". He added she shrugged again Kisame was starting think it was a trademark move with her. "Fair enough boss still I'll leave you a couple to research ya basically payed for them with the extra. A happy client is a continuous client granddad always says". She informed nonchalantly Itachi was mentally thanking himself now. "Also on occasion two other Akasuki members creep around here ones wearing an orange mask. Literally pops up out of nowhere every few months normally stands around where I said Kakashi killed Rin. Then comes here to talk to Madara I guess". She said with a masked grin. "The other guy is just like the plant people with a jet black right half. Zetsu and Tobi right? He's not as goofy in private but you two already knew that". She said with a grin surprising them.

"Stupid fucks kept trying to recruit the family in to Akasuki. We don't like sharing a profit not even with each other unless partnering up on a job. The old man's also not big on how Akasuki does things unprofessional he calls it". Kisame was kind of offended that stopped caring immediately. "So they wanted to track us down and take us out as a threat. You guys lost a lot of boys doing that". She said with an underlying smugness Itachi and Kisame were a little surprised another group was a bel to stand against an organization full of S-ranked shinobi. "Zetsu isn't someone you can just hide from how do you keep doing it?". Itachi asked visibly surprised Zetsu always made him paranoid she grinned. "Same reason why you were falling me so closely. I have a gorgeous ass sure but it's not like you can see it". She said with a grin shocking Itachi this person was eerily well informed.

"Sensory shinobi can't detect us we can hide our chakra signature making us basically invisible. Sorry boss that informations not for sale". She informed/enforced Itachi merely nodded in understanding still stunned. "Anyway considering Tobi pissed us off and it sounds like you two are about to eliminate our competition, and you just made me a fortune with interest this one's on the house. Jiraiya wants to talk to you. He'll has something that will help you take down Akasuki. Your buddies also aren't due to visit here for another month. So as long as no one but you two come out Tobi should be none the wiser. Besides my bro's got something that we'll keep Tobi and Zetsu nice and distracted for a bit". She informed Itachi's eyes widened.

"What is it?". Itachi asked she shrugged. "That's my bro's part of the job but he assured me it's big it'll also help us deal with a problem client. Just be sure to keep us out of it as far as everyone else is concerned, you two did it all by yourselves got it?". The two nodded in understanding. "Good and since you're a good and respectful client here". She handed Itachi some glasses with a mask similar to Hanzo of the salamanders own for him a Kisame making him raise an eyebrow as she grinned. "It'll be awfully difficult to read anything if you can't see. Just lay off Amaterasu especially when wearing them and you'll be golden. The masks are for the toxins". She informed Itachi put on the glasses and for the first time in years he could actually see. Kisame snickered at him they were vary thick coke bottle glasses, making Itachi's eye look huge. His always expressionless face only added to Kisame's amusement.

"How did you even get the right prescription? I've never seen an eye doctor". Itachi asked she merely grinned. "Observation you get vary close when you use Taijutsu. Your Jutsu's are basically spray and pray no matter how good you are at hiding that fact. You rarely turn your head to fallow an enemy showing a heavy reliance on your sensory ability. On the occasions you'd fallow Kisame you stay rather close five feet like you did me. It shows you need to fallow someone when you're actually heading somewhere not Konoha directed. You didn't think I'd contacted an Akasuki member with out doing my homework first did you boss?". She asked a comment like that actually worried the two. It showed this person is unbelievably patient and perspective. Scanning for weakness on a target before acting pre-planning everyone far ahead of the average Shinobi. The fact that her apparent family held its own again Akasuki for this long proves that. Itachi nodded in understanding acting unbothered regardless.

"You made your point we'll pretend this didn't happen, and thank you for the glasses and masks". Itachi assured Kisame nodded in agreement. "Anything for a client the notes and other shit are still down there. I recommend destroying everything not needed for your job afterwards". She said getting Itachi's attention. "Why?". She just grinned. "Because it would piss off Tobi if you did. If you can't kill the bastard you can at least fuck with him". Kisame grinned at that Itachi merely nodded. "Thank you Fang-San". Itachi said Fang bowed. "No problem boss I'll get you pipeline access if you want?". She returned Itachi thought about it. "Please do if we can't get Tobi I would like to at least be a bel to track him". He said she nodded. "You got it good luck boss". She said then vanished. Itachi sighed removing his glasses. "What's up?". Kisame asked. "I've been fighting blind for years actually seeing what's happening is kind of distracting now. Besides I'd rather not lose this in a fight if I can". Itachi informed Kisame nodded in understanding.

"Keep your mask handie we need to spit fire so we can't exactly wear them now. I always wanted to ask Kakashi-Sempi how he did it". Itachi said Kisame chuckled. "I would appreciate it if we take the quiet way in please". Itachi asked Kisame grunted. "Come on it'll be fun I mean you and me against an army of plant things". Kisame tried to convince Itachi sighed. "Stealth first kill everything after if what Fang-San says is true we'll be destroying the place regardless. If Madara's really is down there I'd like to avoid him till then". Itachi assured Kisame sighed. "Could have had Deidara as a partner but no I got mister cautious". Kisame complain Itachi grinned. "I know that you like explosions but do you honestly want to hear him talk about art all the time? Remember how bad just Sasori was". He countered Kisame sighed and shook his head as they walked down the stairs.

Madara's sanctum.

Itachi and an annoyed Kisame quietly walked down the stairs. As Itachi rubbed his hand against the wall to hide and observe he felt something. Confused he continued feeling it was words carved in to the wall. Stick to the walls they walk in the centre light every seven feet with given three foot shadow. Patrols at thirty second intervals it said. Itachi grinned he made hand signals to Kisame to remove Samahada, so he could hide easier Kisame tried not to grunted annoyed. Doing as told he saw something and tried not to chuckle in amusement.

Sitting on a throne was a mummified corpse with long white hair in grey turned rotting brown robes, behind him was a weird underground tree. He made hand signals. "I guess we really can take Madara". He joked then saw Itachi blankly stare at him rolling his eyes forgetting about his partner's condition. He took his glasses and put them on Itachi now saw Madara's corpse and nodded in understanding. "Keep the damn things on till the fight". He ordered. "They could reflect the light giving us away". Itachi countered. "Who cares? Stealth isn't my forte anyway". Kisame argued. "It's my one and only pair of glasses". Itachi signalled annoyed. "Well after hearing the advice I can't let you go alone". Kisame signalled back. Itachi was thinking Kisame was the only person who ever saw Itachi out of his neutral character. "I can sense them I stick left you stick right. Stay along the walls I can speed read then will blow the place up I want it wiped of the map regardless happy now?". Itachi asked Kisame nodded rolling his eyes. "You're lucky you're basically my best and only friend. Outside of Samahada". Itachi turn away to removing his glasses. "You to still prefer the sword". He returned Kisame grinned in amusement.

They wait for some Zetsu's to pass the moved along the hallway just as the women said the Zetsu's stuck to the centre. Kisame had Samahada in hand back up against the wall. They waited as the message said every thirty seconds the Zetsu's passed they moved. Itachi felt annoyed with himself for suggesting stealth as will. He memorized everything in Konoha over the years, to keep an eye on Sasuke but a new place where caution was key. It severely handicapped him one wrong move one out of place sound and hole lot of trouble was on the way. Though he can fight basically blind and the tight space would help, Itachi hated being in the low lite underground. The shadows people made in sunlight helped him greatly when he was now he despised it. Like the assassin informed the could smile the toxins coming off the white Zetsu's.

It smelled of year old hot rotten fertilizer it burned the heightened senses in his nose making him a little woozy. Kisame wasn't faring much better. Sneaking down the hole they waited for the final patrol to pass when the saw the half opened door to the library. "28…29….35….64". The heard a Zetsu count not doing a vary good job of it either another was standing next to him. "43…10..98". It continued the two looked at each other counting themselves for the next patrol another fifteen seconds. Kisame stealth Samahada and the two moved it grabbing and snapping the necks of the Zetsu. Kisame closed the door before the next patrol passed. Itachi put his glasses on seeing Madara's notes a huge pile of knowledge from the original clan patriarch and cofounder of Konoha.

"Ok let's get started you read I'll guard". Kisame signalled Itachi nodded grabbing a tome. After an hour of checking notes and Kisame silently killing bored Zetsu's he finally found something interesting on the creatures. Madara wasn't the original creator he merely found the process on how to do it. He took the created for creating black Zetsu even if he didn't fully understand how he did it. Chalking it up to the power of the root system that kept him alive for so long. Along with his Rinnegan Black Zetsu was designed to be his Will. To carry on his legacy as he drew closer to death something that greatly shocked Itachi as he kept reading. During the fight with Hashirama that originally killed him, Madara later found himself alive hooked up to the roots surrounded buy white Zetsu's.

His right eye was missing courtesy of Tobirama which greatly angered him, always hating the little Senju bastard. Madara discovered that if an Uchiha switch's eyes with a direct relative like a brother. It unlocks the eternal Mangekyō Sharingan. Something to even his shame he discovered by taking his dead younger brother Izuna's eyes when he went blind. Itachi heard the story but didn't believe it true, he was planning to tell Sasuke this to appear crazy enough for Sasuke to kill him with out remorse. Now he was disgusted. Apparently the white Zetsu's saved him because he was the chosen one to bring about the true era of peace. This lead Madara down the path to creating more and much more loyal versions of his savours. Even though he was always suspicious of the original Zetsu's he found them vary informative and just as useful. When Hashirama finally died of his illness in the middle of a battle the Zetsu's syphoned his body of his cells. Madara also discovered the Uchiha and Senju's were actually very distant cousins along with the Uzumaki and Hyuga's. Not just that but but true descendants of the sage of the six paths.

It made both Madara and his descendant highly confused as to why the two clans started fighting for nearly a century to begin with, and how none of the four families knew about this. Unlike Itachi though Madara was uncaring of this piece of information, Instead focusing on a far more important discovery. By mixing cells Madara deduced that with both Uchiha and Senju cells, Madara managed to create a Rinnegan. Something he credited to his as he called it his superior Uchiha Genes. Itachi found the discovery disgusting but read on, seeing his great grand uncle as kind of a petty bitch right now. Madara's plans were no better as the years went on Madara ordered his loyal Zetsu's to eliminate their far older brethren. Keeping the secrets of the Eye of the Moon in his mind completely safe. Itachi read about the ultimate Genjutsu and was shocked to say the least.

As age started creeping up on him Madara realized his dream couldn't be carried by him anymore. He needed a successor even though his one time family disowned him and ignored his self proclaimed wisdom. His Zetsu spies in the clan discovered that the Uchiha's were starting to understand their mistakes. Since Tobirama instated them as the Konoha police force rather then the well breed Shinobi, like they always were in there minds. Even though Tobirama wasn't opposed to having Uchiha's in the Konoha Shinobi ranks, even having Shisui's grandpa Kagami with him during the War. The clan was secretly offended instead of seeing this a Tobirama trusting them with the internal safety of Konoha citizens. As well as a practical use for their Visual Genjutsu ability like Itachi always assumed. The clan felt like dogs guarding scum for ungrateful idiots. Then Hiruzen seemingly being uncaring of their plight further added to their growing distaste of Konoha.

He hoped to make an Uchiha his successor to make his dream of ultimate peace a reality. Nearing the end Madara needed his new legendary eyes safe. So he transferred their power to another a baby boy in Amigakure. Getting a new left eye again from Izuna. Stating it should stay in at least one of the four royal family's. If his successor is smart this person can be the ultimate tool till his successor unlocks his or her own. Itachi was trying to figure out what family Pain was from he saw the other paths not knowing which was the original. He suspected the main one but couldn't be sure. Pain is a smart person possibly smart enough to to stay completely out of the site. God complex or not.

"He could be like Kohinata Mukai a half blooded Hyuga would the be enough to hold the Rinnegan?. Some of them did leave Konoha sick of the Hyuga clans bigotry against them. A full blooded one who's parents ran off to escape being branded? It's happened before as far as I know except for Madara no Uchiha's abandon Konoha". He thought hard on his family tree no Uchiha's disappeared from Konoha. Except from himself Konoha never put a bounty one an Uchiha either. "A Senju? But I doubt Madara would empower a member of his most hated enemy. The Uzumaki's unfortunately are possibly extinct could there actually be survivors? Could an Uzumaki really be after Naruto but Aunt Kushina always said Uzumaki's were completely loyal to their own. Then again my father said the same about Uchiha's". Itachi was heartbroken by that mental note.

"I also don't know of anyone in the four clans to ever have Orange hair. Then again Tsunade-Sama and Naruto are blondes. Which are you pain?". Itachi thought to himself he then realized something the notes were dual laird. His father said dual layering was so Uchiha clan heads elders and the elite of the elite of the clan could send two different messages to each other. The first layer was normally truthful enough. Study notes love letters anything nonchalant if read the second layer was an undercover secondary message. Fugaku spent hours teaching Itachi how to read and write using this seemingly invisible code for when he took over. Itachi actually wrote an undercover love letter to Izumi using it not that she could read the code. He took a moment to remember his long dead love one of his worst mistakes, because focusing on the paperwork again. He didn't know why Madara bothered doing this. Nostalgia maybe? Possibly hoping his successor was as his family used to put it a true elite. He didn't care right now as he started decoding Kisame was holding a dead Zetsu in front of the door as another walked in.

"It's my turn to count". He said to the dead one as it drop and Kisame snapped his neck and sighed. "This is getting boring have you found anything yet?". He hand signed Itachi was busy decoding Kisame annoyed flipped him off. Itachi still reading returned it as he continued read annoying his partner more. "Bottle eyed bastard". Kisame thought getting bored he grabbed a chair and propped up a Zetsu corpse so it would stand up on its own. He then blow out a candle near the door making a dark spot grabbed a random book and started reading it absent mindedly to pass the time, with a Kunai in his hand. "Are you done yet?". A Zetsu asked the standing body the Kisame stabbed it in the head and continued reading as he fell in to the dark spot hidden.

After decoding Itachi ready on that Madara once disguised himself as a Kiri Shinobi. Fuelling the already severe hated between uncaringly honest second Mizukage Gengetsu and the under handed second Tsuchikage Mu behind the sence. So when the two finally ended up killing each other Madara could take over Kiri unopposed. While also getting some small revenge on Iwa for not falling in line. His goal for Kiri was not only to keep the secrets of this vary hide out safe but to use Kiri as a way to fight Konoha, who Gengetsu himself at the time had no problem with. Being the straight shooter of any Kage Gengetsu had a vary simple understanding with the other villages. Don't bother us we won't you this Madara found was a bliss allowing him to create the slaughterhouse Academy.

To purge the weak from Kiri which to him was everyone not him and mould the strong enough in to a Konoha hating force, while also having two needed Jinchuuriki in the palm of his hand already. With his position as Secure as it possibly could be came the next strange of his plan to eliminate threats. Knowing Mito was finally dying and knowing he would need strong underlying's to seal the Kyuubi in to the Getto Statue he waited for the next Jinchuuriki to arrive in Konoha. Then influenced the Second Kazekage and second Raikage to destroy Uzushiogakure. Iwa refused to even meet with him not wanting to do Kiri any favours after the death of Muu. Madara thought to add Kiri in to the fight but needed them to prepare for war.

The Uzumaki's after realizing that their Messenger birds were killed by Zetsu's understood an attack was on the way. They evacuated their none combatants and held off the four nation force alone for nearly a month. Knowing aid from Konoha wasn't coming the Uzumaki's fought like demons. Destroying 25% of each villages total force. Madara observed everything in secret he was thanking himself for his foresight at seeing the clan at work. Kushina's grandfather father Rikko and her father Kenji alone were monsters in their own right. Madara remembered both of them and visiting friend of Kenji's decimate a huge chunk of the force by themselves. This friend brought Kushina's mom to Konoha after the fight and vanished afterwards. Not but a day later the Raikage and Kazekage were found dead. Madara years later suspected he may have actually also killed the First Kazekage and poisoned the thrid Raikage. The beast of a man was nearly indestructible.

Madara had a Zetsu get a blood sample from him only being a bel to get one from the Raikage's tongue. To Madara's surprise the Raikage was poisoned possibly weeks before his one-thousand man battle. It was fast acting designed to eat at the chakra coils not that the Raikage noticed. Madara tried it on a Zetsu that died almost immediately. After that Madara listed this person for possible recruitment if he was still alive by the time the plan was started. His only regret was because of his manipulations to destroy the Uzumaki, Madara unintentionally made Konoha stranger.

"That bastard". Itachi thought sympathetic to his favourite Aunt Kushina Kiri and Kisame. "Who was this friend of the family I wonder? Most be extremely old if not dead now". He thought as he continued the rest was just about the boy Madara didn't care enough to put the last name down but did give his real name of Nagato. Stating that he was a one time student of one of Hiruzen's students that at seventeen co-founded a well known military force calling itself Akasuki. A group of just fifteen young but strong individuals that were looking bring peace to their war torn village. Madara commend the goal but thought they needed more guidance. Itachi continued reading everything he thought was off value then sealed all of the Sharingan scrolls for Sasuke. Placing paper bombs everywhere he pocket his glasses and nodded at Kisame who grinned.

Opening the door Kisame looked both ways and sighed walking out with Itachi. Thirty possibly forty Zetsu's were on both sides of the hallway surrounding them. Kisame face the one's going up the hall Itachi faced nodded the hall. "So how'd you figure out we were here?". Kisame asked grinning. "We were out a few brothers". A Zetsu informed Kisame and Itachi nodded. "And you waited out here for how long?". Itachi asked. "45 minutes". Again they nodded. "So you called for back up that's why ya didn't come in and get us then right?". Kisame asked the Zetsu's all shook their heads in sink. "We didn't want to harm the masters library and we don't need back up. Now surrender and die". Zetsu ordered Itachi and Kisame shrugged nonchalantly. "Since you put it like that". Kisame pointed Samahada forward then held it with one hand on the handle and the other on the scaly blade. The side facing the Zetsu's spiked out.

"3". Kisame started. "2". Itachi continued. "1". They finished as Kisame ran forward using Samahada's side to stab and push back the Zetsu's. Pushing them closer to the throne room. Itachi running backwards shot a burst of flame from his mouth burning the pursuing Zetus. There was enough power behind it to travel down the hall and burn more. When Kisame and Itachi shot out the bombs activated burins anything else alive. He mentally prayed they didn't have the main Zetsu's ability to faze through things. "Hahahahahaha". Kisame laughed swinging Samahada. Zetsu's ran out of the hallways as Itachi and Kisame were back to back. Itachi and Kisame made hand sighs blowing fire in to the hallways. The Zetsu's took advantage of the inclosed space and release the poisonous red smoke.

Itachi and Kisame put their masks on and continued Itachi punched kicked and stabbed his way around the room. While Kisame swung slicing and and smashing the Zetsu's as more came. Itachi realized most of the were coming from the lab area and looked at Kisame. "We have to check the lab". He said the mask muffed his voice. "What?". Kisame asked killing ten more Itachi moved closer. "THE LAB". She shouted through the make. "K". Kisame returned as the cut the way across the throne room to the next hallway. Itachi pulled another Tonto passing it to Kisame who re-strapped Samahada. Kisame stabbed and slashed his way through the horde while Itachi watched his back.

Itachi stabbed blocked and slashed anything and everything coming near them while Kisame cleared the path. Kisame had a hand out incase Itachi tripped on a body. The hallway was longer then the other one the continued like this till Kisame saw a pair of opened double doors. "NOW". He shouted making Itachi turned. The two worked in tandem double timing the effort speeding through the horde ahead. Using their combined experience two cut ahead and backsplash anyone coming even close to them. Getting closer to the doors Kisame gambled making hands while Itachi covered. Kisame took the deepest breath his could and when done Itachi quickly removed his mask.

"Fire Style: Burning Fury". Kisame spat out like a flamethrower burning the Zetsu's ahead of them while Itachi returned to guard his back. Stabbing any threatening it hearing Zetsu's screaming. Kisame then turned burning the rear threat. When he he stopped Itachi put the mask pulling the larger man back before he gasped for air, through the double doors. Making sure Kisame held his mask properly Itachi ran closing the doors locking them in place. With no smoke in the room Kisame removed his mask gasping for air and coughing annoyed. "Fuck..cough..that tastes as bad as it..cough…smells". Kisame said angrily Itachi was sweating removing his mask he sat down on the floor against a wall for a moment as the Zetsu's banged on the door.

"My lungs are burning yours?". Itachi asked breathing heavily. "Same that fucking smoke". Kisame said as he continued cough a bit more. "You inhaled?". Itachi asked Kisame shook his head. "No but it tastes like spicy ass flavoured peppers. I keep inhaling the burn". Itachi chuckled. "You just spat out fire and you can't handle spicy things". Kisame glared. "Says the sushi lover who refuses to eat wasabi". Itachi chuckled. "Touché". The two shared a laugh as the banging got louder Itachi put his glasses on to look around. The lab was a dingy rotting place filled with test tubes and an ancient equipment. "Reminds me of our raids on Orochimaru". Kisame commented Itachi nodded. "Now where are these thing coming from?". Itachi asked allowed he saw white hands coming out of gardens in the middle of the room. Kisame got up and banged the ceiling over it with Samahada making making it fall on it.

"There we go". Kisame said as the rocks started moving. "If these things are really being grown in the dirt here burying that may not work". Itachi said Kisame shrugged. "We can play whack-a-mole". He suggested Itachi sighed. "We need something constant to hold them off". Kisame thought for a moment. "Your notes tell you anything?". Itachi was thinking hard. "Madara did say the weird tree behind his throne helped him create the Zetsu's". Kisame nodded. "Blow this place up kill the tree got it". Itachi nodded then noticed another door going to open it his eyes widened. "Oh my god". He said in tears getting Kisame's attention.

Following Itachi he was shocked hole walls hundreds off bubbling tanks. Filled with Itachi's personal nightmare Sharingan eyes all staring at him the room was filled with them. "Was this why you joined me that night you bastard?". Itachi asked himself Kisame was put off by them but that's it the surprise was over. "We're destroying this disgusting place starting with this room". Itachi ordered angrily Kisame simply nodded. The two rigged the lab and broke gas valves. "You know you could grab a pair for yourself". Kisame suggested Itachi shook with anger at the suggestion.

"Never mind". He said with a shrug Itachi made it a point to put tags on every tank. They wall papered the lab as well now they were getting ready to leave when Itachi stopped. A pair of eyes caught his attention walking over his eyes widened tearfully. Two red eyes with three tomoe a piece connected by a pure black circle. They should look like any other Sharingan but Itachi knew them very well. Placing his hand on the glass he lowered his head sadly. "I'm sorry". He whispered walking out mentally destroyed and angry.

Kisame and Itachi were at the doors ready. "Ready?". Kisame asked Itachi shook angrily. "Get behind me". He ordered removing his glasses Kisame frowned. "Remember what fang said?". Itachi dropped the glasses stepping on them. "That doesn't matter anymore". Itachi angrily informed tears in his eyes going blind would be a blessing right now Kisame nodded. The door was getting banged on the Zetsu's were nearly in Itachi activated his Sharingan. When the steal doors were finally kicked open the Zetsu's froze at the red eyed glare of Itachi. "AMATERASU". Itachi shouted putting everything he had in to the attack. Black fire burst from his bleeding eye running do the hall as the screaming Zetsu's screamed burning under the never ending flame.

Itachi moved forward with Kisame at his back the black fire moved out of Itachi's way as he continued. He ignored the pained scream of the plant people entirely. Kisame saw the destruction as actually shook a bit. Itachi was the calmest person he knew hell when Akasuki was a just a mercenary group, and two fought wars together Itachi was always the calm one. No bloodlust no crying no anger or joy pure neutrality for a decade. The Amaterasu was never used to this degree now Itachi with one shot, burned the entire hall and throne room killing basically everything. The share anger behind it was terrifying even to the blue psychopath. When Kisame looked around at Itachi used his sensory ability to scan and couldn't find anything Itachi fell to his knees in pain holding his bloody eye angrily.

"Fuck". Itachi said swearing for and only time in his life it was like his cornea had a burning Senbon needle in it. Kisame grabbed him helping him up and sitting him down on a stone chair. Looking around Kisame walk up to Madara. "You going to ok buddy?". Kisame asked with concern for his partner as he pulled out his tool to piss on Madara. Itachi was silent for a moment as Kisame aimed for Madara's eye holes. "I've had nightmares since that night you know". Itachi started still holding his right eye while his left had a tear going down it. Kisame finished and went to sit beside him. "I had my Sharingan activated during the massacre they recorded everything. I know who's eyes were in that room". He shook sadly he couldn't open his right eye right now.

"Most of them belonged to the kids of the clan I even saw Izumi's in there". He looked down in tears Kisame pulled out a flask he raised it up in cheers to Izumi then took a drink. He didn't actually know who she was since Itachi never brought it up but cheered her anyway. Taking a swig he passed it to Itachi who took it taking a hard swig and coughed. Kisame drank strong liquor and Itachi never drank at all. When Itachi tried giving it back Kisame waved him off. "Keep it". He ordered Itachi nodded in thanks taking another one before pocketing it. The two stared at the pissed stained corpse of Madara and the tree behind him. "How many tags do we have left?". Itachi asked calming down a bit Kisame checked the pouch. "Enough". He stated as they got up Kisame threw the pouch hitting Madara in the head with it.

"Now let's blow this fucker up". Itachi nodded in agreement taking a deep breath as they walked out.

When they reached the time they got as far away as possible and watched. "Care to do the honours?". Kisame asked Itachi stood there silently thinking about everything. Izumi the massacre Kushina his mother father Sasuke and Naruto to now. He felt his heart failing and his chest burning like always. "Naruto Aunt Kushina…Izumi-Chan this is for you I'm so sorry". Itachi thought sadly as he activated the tags Kirigakure stopped their war for a moment as Madara's sanctum went up in a large flash and deafening explosion rocking the islands. A possessed Yagura saw the explosion from his office with a pure neutral look.

"I should inform the master of this". He thought to himself while his former partner looked through his eyes to see the blast thinking something good happened. "DON'T TELL HIM FIGHT THE CONTROL PLEASE YAGURA". Isubu begged but Yagura ignored the three tailed turtle as he went back to work. "So what now?". Kisame asked Itach thought about it. "Now we find Jiraiya". He started when they heard screaming Itachi and Kisame saw a family running from bloodline hunters. "Before we do that I feel like killing some more and those bastards just volunteered". Itachi said finally embracing justified murder for today. Kisame grinned as they ran to help the family and butcher some assholes.

End of flashback back.

Like he did with Foxtrot and Fixer Kisame left out fong as he told his story. Jiraiya looked down stunned with the others as they walked off the bridge. "Yep that was Itachi and Kisame's excellent adventure. Found out everyone was being used by an old dead guy". Kisame said with a grin. "Obito Itachi me Akasuki Yagura Kiri all of us. Just tools for a dried up old bitch with delusions of grandeur. Sound familiar?". They looked at Kisame thinking on his words. "So he found his girlfriend's eyes in a tank fuck". Sakura said grabbing the flask Jiraiya offered to drink Kisame nodded. "The girlfriend he killed himself for Konoha. See everyone was used as a tool and none of it for the better". Kisame educated with a frown. "So what was the point of all this?". Kakashi asked Kisame shrugged. "Like I said I was just curious". Kisame said with a shrug everyone was silent as they entered Wave.

Wave.

Jiraiya Tsunade Sakura and Kakashi were seeing the world as Naruto must have once saw it. Everyone who saw them glared and whispered pointing at them. The Kiri ninja were on guard but to their surprise it was dutiful with no malice behind it. They saw a few people picking up rocks and knew what was going to happen and accepted it. Sakura kept her eyes forward preparing for it when crack a rock bounced of her head. Then Kakashi's Jiraiya's then finally Tsunade's while her eyes continued watching Konohamaru who didn't turn and just continued walking with out a care. The group continued walking taking the hits and harsh words with the soul crushing realization. That they wanted to fight back but couldn't because it would just make it worse.

"Was this really what it was like Naruto?". Sakura thought with tears in her eyes as someone nonchalantly walked up and smacked her. Knowing full well he can get away with it. As Konohamaru and his gang entered Ichiraku with Karin and Suna and Kiri with Kisame went to Inari's office. The group took shelter in a bar praying they'll be served. Entering the bar they were coated in blood Sakura like Tsunade refused to use her healing factor ability. Jiraiya was holding his head and Kakashi his ear they noticed more people glaring at them and sighed already defeated.

Sakura walked up to the bar cautiously and sat down. "May I get a saki please sir?". She asked respectfully the bartender left a bottle then went back to work surprising her. "Don't worry about him he's more liking to spit in my drink then in yours". A man sitting next to her said he was a short man at 4 foot 8. He had short messy grey hair that fell over the right side of his face and spiked up on the left. He also had pupilless pink eyes and a stitch-like scar running from under his left eye, all the way down his cheek. He was wearing a green poncho with black ANBU gear underneath. Beside him was a weird staff with two fishhooks a big one on top and a small one on the bottom with a green flower on it. "Why's that?". Sakura asked the man grinned. "He's a Kiri war survivor Uzumaki-San doesn't make matter to him as much as I do". He said with a sad smile Sakura eyed the man he was a handsome young man.

"I know what you're thinking and I'm thirty years old". He informed surprising her making him grin. "Sorry the names Yagura Karatachi Yagura". He introduced Sakura's eyes widened in realization making him nodded in understanding and return to his drink. "I'm sorry if I offended you Yagura-Sama". Sakura apologized he shrugged taking a swig. "I'm used to it I am the second worse Mizukage in Kiri history after all. So it's just Yagura if you're being friendly bastard if you're not". He informed Sakura frowned sadly for him. "I'm more surprised a Jinchuuriki is talking to a…well me". Sakura said not wanting to use the Kyuubi Killer name. Yagura shrugged drinking again.

"He was a brother of circumstance not blood I'll be fighting in the war. So Gaara-Sama and I will most likely be fighting the Iwa Jinchuuriki Han and Roshi". Yagura said sadly. "Looking back on it all I wish I ran like Utakata did. I would probably still have my wife and son to". He said stoically but downed his drink. "What happened?". Sakura asked Yagura stared at his drink. "When Obito took control of me. I obviously turned in to a bad husband and father. My son was all off 6 years old when she ran away with him. I was going to send him to the new slaughter house at that age". Yagura said with a broken smile.

"She was always as smart as she was beautiful and caring but unfortunately couldn't see it wasn't me. She died in a Oto attack". Sakura looked at him sadly. "And your son?". She asked Yagura frowned silently. "He was never found Isubu my partner and tenant liked him a lot". He said taking a drink. "He was the most wonderfully innocent thing I ever put in this world. Not even being the first Jinchuuriki Kage in history compared to that". He explained Sakura took a drink. "What was his name?". She asked softly. "Yukimaru had my eyes and hair but his mother's face caring nature and love of Camellia's". Yagura said with sorrow Sakura thought about the name and her eyes widened.

"Your son is alive". Sakura said getting his attention. "What?". Yagura asked tears threatening to show. "Yukimaru I don't know where he is now but he's alive I swear this to you. A former Oto shinobi named Guren betrayed Orochimaru and left with them. Naruto helped save his life". Sakura informed Yagura looked in to her eyes praying he wouldn't find a lie in them he found none. "You're telling me the truth my boy is ok". He said in tears it was the best news he's heard in years Sakura nodded smiling a bit. "Like I said I don't know where he went but you could find him". Sakura assured Yagura smiled tearfully but shook his head.

"No as long as he's safe and happy, I shouldn't look for him. Not while there's a war coming up and Orochimaru and Obito still being out there. Besides it's better for him this way". He explained braking her heart and his own Sakura thought hard for this next one. "We're going after Orochimaru in a few hours we will kill him". She said quietly getting his attention as he put some money on the table. "Thank you Haruno-San have another on me and I'll be there. I owe you a dealt that I will reply". He bowed and walked out to continue his mission to hunt Obito. Sakura watched him go a tear went down her eye. "Another great thing you did Naruto. I hope it made you happy to see it pay off". She thought as she drank Kakashi watched from his table and smiled a bit at her. "What can I get you a lot". The grizzled bartender asked.

"Saki". Kakashi asked. "Cranberry juice". Tsunade ordered she wanted a real drink but fought her own alcoholism. Jiraiya looked at the food menu he looked at Sakura thinking of everything she said. "The stake and rice please with bread and water". Jiraiya asked the bartender nodded as Kakashi and Jiraiya looked at him. "If I can't go to the base I can at least stay behind as back up. I'm not waiting on the dock or going home I'm getting on that boat". Jiraiya said with some purpose Tsunade and Kakashi frowned. "I'll drink myself stupid later but I'm not getting left here. I can't stay here". He said tearfully he wanted to go to Ichiraku but couldn't after last time. "Jiraiya you should…". Tsunade started. "Please Hime". Jiraiya begged she nodded tearfully as she waited for her order.

Ichiraku ramen.

"Oh my god she's so cute". Ayame gushingly said. "That she is". A familiar voice returned. "Oh you sweet little princess". Teuchi gushingly said. When Konohamaru and the gang walked in with Karin theirs eyes widened. Iruka was sitting there with three other people he was holding a baby girl with red hair. Beside him was a gorgeous women with chestnut hair and brown eyes. She was wearing a purple sweater and black tight fitting paints. Beside her was an even older man wearing a black pinstriped vests and pants with a white dress shirt and red tie. The man had slicked back grey hair with a clean shaven and serious expression with grey eyes.

"Iruka-Sensai?". Konohamaru said stunned Iruka turned and smiled at them. "Konohamaru Moegi Udon come here". He ordered they came up for a hug and looked at the baby Moegi was gushing like Ayame was. When the sat down Ayame reached a cross the bar and hugged Karin. "How have you been Iruka-Sensai? You look good". Konohamaru asked/complemented Iruka smiled. He was wearing a black suit with a black wool sweater though he kept the hair cut. "Not bad at all I took up work as a bodyguard for this young lady and her grandfather. Once this little princess is older I'll be her in home teacher". Iruka said the older man quietly nodded the girl grinned.

"Though that depends if her husband doesn't kill me for taking her to Wave. He's always so protective especially of his baby". Iruka commented she and her grandpa shrugged uncaring. "He's not all that strong I'll smack him around if it makes you feel better". The older man offered the girl chuckled. "Leave my husband alone grandpa". She ordered. "No". He replied getting chuckles. "Well you couldn't ask for a better man for protection. Though he was a boring teacher". Konohamaru commented Iruka grinned.

"I doubt little Kyoko here will be as dumb as you were". He joked Konohamaru chuckled. "A Hokage isn't dumb Sensai". Iruka shrugged. "You'll be the first one in history then". He returned making Udon and Moegi chuckle. "But my apologies mrs. my name is Saratobi Konohamaru. This is Moegi Udon and Uzumaki Karin". Konohamaru introduced making her grinned. "Moegi's your girlfriend right?". She asked making Karin Iruka and Udon chuckle while they blushed. "Anyway I'm Emiko and this stone faced old fossil is my grandpa Rikimaru". Emiko introduced Rikimaru sighed annoyed. "A brat just like your husband. I remember a time when you were respectful like your sister". He said making her giggle. "You introduced us granddad". She retorted annoying him till he sighed.

"Give me my granddaughter so I can be happy". He ordered Iruka did it hesitantly he wanted to continue holding her. Taking his granddaughter Rikimaru grinned looking at her. "Wow he really is happy". Emiko said grinning Iruka Ayame and Teuchi chuckled. "That I am she's not a brat like her mother". Rikimaru said making her glare Iruka chuckled. "Stop calling me that". She ordered. "Stop acting like one". He countered making her grin. "Never". Ayame giggled at that. "I feel your pain sir". Teuchi said getting a glare from Ayame and a chuckle from the old man. "So what brings you guys here today anyway?". Iruka asked Ayame and Teuchi frowned nervously Konohamaru was thinking quickly.

"We're here with Gaara-Sama Mei-Sama and Tsunade for a joint mission". Konohamaru explained Iruka was suspicious but nodded. "And your friend?". Iruka asked Karin looked at him nervously till Konohamaru Ayame and Teuchi nodded. "Uzumaki Karin". She introduced Iruka looked at her in wide eyed shock. "Uzumaki?". He repeated Karin nodded. "I'm Naruto's cousin". Iruka got up and hugged her tightly. "It's a pleasure to meet you Karin-San". Iruka said braking the hug. "Same to you Uncle". She returned making him smile tearfully at her. "Uncle eh?". The heard making them turned a handsome green eyed redheaded man in and silver suit black suit and silver tie walked in. Moegi and hearts in her eyes annoying Konohamaru. The man looked at Iruka and gave him an annoyed grin making him shrugged.

"Sorry sir three to one". Iruka explained nonchalantly making him glare at his grinning wife and her grandpa who ignored him entirely. "You're lucky I love you baby". He said giving her a kiss she grinned. "Come on it was grandpa's fault". She explained passing the blame. "It was not shut it and sit Naraku". He ordered the man did as told annoyed. "Give me my princess". Naraku ordered. "No". Rikimaru retuned making everyone laugh as Naraku glared. "So what's up babe?". Emiko asked he shrugged. "Just came back from a meeting and found out my wife ran off". He said she kissed him. "I'm sorry but I really wanted ramen for some reason". She said cutely as he ordered a bowl for himself smile happily now. It made everyone Konoha nostalgic for as moment.

"Fine my love I'll join you then unfortunately I'll have work". He said with a frown Emiko kissed him and sighed. "It's ok I know who I married". Naraku still frowned but nodded in thanks. "So who's this anyway? You're not trying to steal my wife are you?". Naraku asked Konohamaru hugged Emiko protectively and jokingly making everyone but the blushing Konohamaru and annoyed Moegi laugh. "No sir I'm a friend of Iruka's. Saratobi Konohamaru". He introduced Naraku took his hand and shook it. "Naraku so the sixth Hokage eh? Iruka-San told us a lot about you". Naraku said with a smile the Konohamaru returned. "And this must be your girlfriend Moegi". The two blushed everyone grinned. "No he's not". Moegi said annoyed Konohamaru grinned. "Not yet but soon". He said then realized what he just said as they went red to everyone's amusement. The group talked for the next few hours while everyone else was busy drinking or in a meeting.

Inari's office.

Inari's clone was doing paperwork while Inari was drinking. Just like Kisame said Inari would feel the effects of the massacre. When his senses kicked in, he went to his desk and grabbed a glass. Kisame opened the the door and tilted his head slightly as the glass flew passed his head. Kisame even grabbed it before it hit the wall and grinned. "Ya missed but I could you a drink". Kisame mocked Inari sighed annoyed grabbed another glass. "This one won't and stay away from my bar". Inari ordered/threatened as Mei and Gaara walked in Inari put the glass down. "Mei-Sama Gaara a pleasure as always". Inari greeted they nodded in return.

"Throwing glasses at your bodyguard now Inari-Kun". Mei said with a grin Inari shrugged. "You're the Mizukage teach him how to knock on his employers door". Inari countered making her grin and nod in understanding. Kisame went to pour a drink with the very glass Inari threw at him to rub it in. "So we heard you have a business proposal for us". Gaara started Inari nodded. "Before that why is Konoha in Wave?". Inari asked everyone but Kisame internally froze. "A joint mission for our three way alliance". Konkaro gave a half truth Inari scanned everyone silently for a moment. Everyone tried not to sweat while Kisame downed his drink till Inari simply nodded. "Ok then what's this mission if I may ask? I feel like I'll need to help you". Inari said digging Kisame grinned.

"We're going to kill Orochimaru we'll need a ship. So if you can make that happen along with getting to the point that would be great". Kisame asked Mei glared at him Inari merely sighed. "Ok I'll make it quick then you already have access to the port". Inari assured surprising the Kage making Kisame grin. "We're good friends also being his bodyguard has it perks". He explained nonchalantly Inari nodded. "Anyway have a seat". The Kage did as told. "So giving the relationship between Suna Kiri and Wave, I figured it was time to make things permanent". Inari started getting everyone's attention. "As you may have heard I've expanded in to Rivers after the Diemyo's, unfortunate accident. Now I want the place protected". He explained the two nodded Kisame held in a chuckle.

"So seeing as you two basically used my village to remain on friendly term and I got my people training. Protection for my caravan's and that pain in the ass over there, endearing or not". Kisame grinned with everyone else. "I feel it is now time to full make this a three way partnership. Rivers isn't just a pipeline to Suna but a bountiful land rich with resources. From clean water and fertile lands for crops and meat for Suna to precious metals and trees for Kiri's navy. Though naturally we won't be stripping the land dry but we can use it". He continued the Kage's thought about it. "It all sounds good but what would we be doing?". Gaara asked Inari grinned. "Basically what you have been doing providing protection from land and sea. Any non-Shinobi members of your villages can look to us for employment. Plus if you're interested I can build a trading post near your villages". Inari offered surprising the two.

"A trading post eh?". Temari asked Inari nodded. "We build one close but not in your villages for security reasons. It's close enough for you to protect we keep a sixty for delivery and sales cost you keep forty by just being there". Inari negotiated the Kage's we're thinking hard on that. "You'll most likely start getting plenty of foot traffic from your nations capital's because of it. That's a lot of money from the pockets of you wealthier people. They'll also want protection on the trip back". Inari assured they nodded at that. "Also even though Konoha isn't that popular with everyone right now their still popular enough to employ even by your very own Diemyo's, due to their rather cheap Shinobi contract rates. Your villages and I'm sorry if this sounds insulting are basically living off of me". Inari stated making everyone but Kisame frown and nod making Inari grin.

"But if we team up I guarantee financial success during and after the war. All I'm basically asking of you is to look after our mutual investment along with free Shinobi labour from D to B but I'll pay double for A and S if needed. While your Diemyo's start reinvesting back in to your village's for Shinobi based missions and wanted items". Inari detailed Gaara and Mei were doing the calculations in their heads with Ao and Konkaro. "So we partner with you we can give cheaper rates for missions like Konoha does. With nearly endless resources and financial stability during dried periods". Konkaro stated all business Inari nodded in confirmation.

"And Konoha?". Mei asked Inari shrugged uncaring. "Fuck them you want to throw a bone at them it's at your own cost". Inari enforced everyone grinned at that. "That does sound good and all still though I thought you were holding out for Konohamaru?". Chojuro asked Inari shrugged. "I like the guy and everything and I'll open a trade deal once he's Hokage but this partnership is with us alone". Inari assured everyone nodded in understanding as Inari handed over a contract for Konkaro and Ao to read. They noticed the glares of their Kage's and grinned.

"We are you right hands". Ao said Konkaro nodded. "Just basic proof reading before you guys sign Inari's just cutting out the middle man". They turned their glares to Inari who shrugged. "You don't have time to spare". He explained they sighed and nodded in agreement. When Konkaro and Ao nodded they signed immediately. "Excellent seeing as were parters now here". Inari handed them two scrolls and some bottles of green liquid. "What are the little bottles for?". Temari asked Inari grinned. "The few Suna citizens that come here by ship normally walk home afterwards. This is merely something to prevent sea sickness". Inari explained Suna thought about being on a boat and felt a little sick and took the bottles. Looking at the scrolls their Kage's eyes widened. "How do you know the shadow clones?". Gaara asked stunned.

"Naruto". Inari lied making Kisame grin while his back was turned to pour another. "You to eh?". Konkaro asked getting looks from everyone. "Taught me after he rescued Gaara for something to do". Konkaro explained nonchalantly Gaara and Temari glared angrily at him. Inari grinned. "I use them for paperwork". Inari informed shocking the Kage. "Why didn't I think of that?". Konkaro asked himself acting dumb Gaara and Mei came out of their shock. "I'll have a ship waiting for you at port gather you team and get going. Give the pale fucker one for me will ya". Inari asked the Kage stood and shook Inari's hand before happily leaving. As everyone left Konkaro and Inari stood there for a minute. "You knew about paperwork". Inari stated with a grin the Konkaro returned. "And Naruto didn't teach you the shadow clones either". He countered knowingly the two shared a laugh as Konkaro left.

The street.

The Kage's walked out they saw Yagura leaning against the wall with perpose in his eyes. Gaara scanned his brother Jinchuuriki and nodded allowing him to join. Going down the street Konohamaru and his team walked out of Ichiraku and Konoha exited the bar. Konohamaru and Naraku shook hand as they went there separate ways. Looking at each other Konoha Suna and Kiri all nodded and started walking to the dock. Now nothing mattered now they had a mission now they had a body to get. The acts Gaara and Mei and their escorts had to use on Inari officially dropped. The pain Kakashi Sakura and Tsunade went through didn't matter. The happiness the Konohamaru corp and Karin had at seeing Iruka was replaced by a very personal mission. While Kisame and Suigetsu were completely excited to erase Oto and Orochimaru from the planet. Jiraiya looked at the flask then at Sakura and crushed it angrily. Sobering up completely for a day nothing was going to stop him. "I'm listening to what you said but I'm going on that ship". Sakura merely nodded to him that he could come along. When she saw Yagura he merely grinned and nodded.

The dock's.

The crew was drinking on the dock when the Shinobi showed up. "Yo what'cha want?". The first mate asked Kisame took out Inari's seal making him nodded. "Captain's taking a piss then we sail". The first mate said drunkenly everyone nodded annoyed. It was a strange crew two men and three girls. The captain appeared out of nowhere making them jump. He was a young white haired man with a scar over his right eye. Wearing and navy blue high quality long coat. "We work for Inari ya going to help?". Kisame asked the captain checked the seal then looked at them for a long moment. "Well what ya all waiting for a fecking handie? Get on the ship". The captain ordered with a think accent. The annoyed Shinobi did as told. "It's fucking by the way". Kisame corrected. "Not wit' you it ain't now get". Kisame chuckled and left as the captain and crew grinned at each other and joined. "Jiraiya's apparently staying on the ship". The captain informed talking normally now his crew shrugged. "We'll raid the place afterwards then". A female crew member said lazily. "He better run with my fucking pay this time". The captain said irritated making his crew laugh.
