Shade six.
Authors note. Hello everyone to everyone who read my original story. Just about everything is the same. I'm just showing what was going on during the 10 year gap. Why some characters hate each other what they went through in the Iwa war instead of just leaving it as a background thing. I want this story to be more show don't tell if that makes sense and avoid most everything just being flashbacks. Anything confusing is supposed to be for now. I'll make more of an effort on spelling as well, even if those how point that out can't seem to write properly themselves. See comments to know what I mean. I'm writing a fan fic I'm not exactly Steven King or Brian McClellen.
Tenten's forge.
Like a few nights ago Tenten was banging steel with her hammer. She kept thinking about the hallucinations and how terrified she and Neji were. She kept looking over her shoulder making sure the demon wasn't there. She was paranoid now angry with Zetsu and Obito. With a sigh she looked down sadly. "I just need to keep busy". She assured herself she heard a knock at door. "Who is it?". She asked shaking squeezing her hammer. "It's Neji". She heard and sighed. "Come in". She ordered and continued working as he walked in he looked at Tenten who tried to ignore him in favour for her hammer and steel. "We have a mission coming up". He informed with a frown Tenten returned it without looking at him. "Demon's again". She stated making him sigh. "Yeah same escorts the same morons the only difference is Konohamaru is coming". He continued making her sigh.
"Ok I'll pack up what time?". She asked banging harder she hated the trip. "6am tomorrow". She nodded focusing on her work. "T can I ask you something?". Neji asked nervously making her nod. "Did you mean it when you said you loved me?". She stopped wide eyed and turned to him, she forgot she said that and that he started it. "Did you?". She asked making him frown ashamed. "I..I did I just thought my confusion would have been a little more romantic you know". He tried to joke Tenten was surprised as he sighed. "I'm sorry it must've been spur of the moment. thinking we were being attacked by Naruto I guess". He said sadly Tenten frowned. "Neji I'm sorry I do care about you a lot, it's..it's just I'm not even sure what to think right now. You me Lee this Naruto ghost story it's to much". She admitted sadly, Neji nodded in understanding as they thought about the day the Ghostly Fox was born.
Konoha 8 months after the truth.
Everyone was having a depression drink at the red leaf. Sakura was drinking the most Lee a vary close second. While Ino Shikamaru Tenten Kiba Hinata Neji Kakashi Asuma and Kurenai watched them. Guy was out training to heartbroken at the lost of his once youthful teammates and didn't drink regardless. While the others either drank at home or we're trying to take their minds of it. "Fuck I haven't worked in a fucking month". A drunk Jonin complained. "So at least you don't have a foreclosure coming up. My fathers store was getting everything from Wave before this hole Naruto thing happened". His comrade continued drinking just as much.
"I heard Lady Shion did it she told Wave and Spring to support Suna. Now they're planning to team up with Kiri. Fuck maybe they're planning to take us out". A Chunin suspected the killers rolled their eyes. "Don't be stupid I know their Kazekage was buddies with Naruto-Sama but we are still stronger then them". An ANBU assured. "Not for long at the rate their going they basically have infinite everything now, and apparently Hoshigaki Kisame rejoined Kiri". Shikaku said frowning he actually personally liked and missed Naruto. He was drinking with Choza Tsume and Inochi. "How can all this be happening after three world wars. Serval invasions and more now we're losing everything?". A Jonin asked Sakura chuckled all of a sudden chugging her drink. "Maybe it's because we abused and killed the man who fought back those invasions basically alone as usual and got us those contacts. Because he was compassionate brave loyal and inspiring. Ever think of that you fucking idiot?". Sakura asked everyone was silent even the bigots had to admit it was possible.
"Maybe Naruto told Shion to support Suna seeing as he liked Gaara and got nothing from Konoha. Except for beatings bigotry sabotage and death". She continued grinning drunkenly at everyone as they frowned at her heartbroken. "Naruto was your own personal devil someone to blame when you were cowards bitches and children. You guys were the vary reason why we were sent to kill that great man. Because of the fear of him finally snapping on you pussys". She said angrily then smiled again. "Now Konoha's fucked I'd put money on the fact Naruto's ghost went to see Shion and told her to take it all away from you. I think it's about time you all gave the devil his due". She was joking but her people saw the visibly worried looks on the patrons. Lee chuckled drunk uncaring hurting Tenten and Neji dearly. Sakura raised her glass in cheers completely hammered.
"To Uzumaki Naruto. The betrayed Namizaki the man who got us everything and is now taking it with him". She cheered and chugged her drink before getting up and stumbling out. Leaving everyone but her people terrified needing someway to get redemption. While most of the killers and councillors just drank silently. "I'll drink to that who knows maybe he'll personally come after us next. We all heard Jiraiya's drunken prophecy right?". Everyone had tears in their eyes now many started praying that wouldn't happen. "Lee don't add to it please". Shikamaru asked Lee chuckled at him. "I'm not adding to anything just stating a fact. After all the big important Sannin said it so it must be true. You know like last time with his honest to god research oh that's right we killed Naruto based off of that honest to god research". He said drinking more spilling some on himself.
"I mean if Naruto said the sky was blue and the sun was yellow everyone here would look up and make sure he wasn't lying. Danzo said kill the guy who saved all our lives more then once. Everyone obliges I know you all would of had a problem with it because he's wasn't six anymore". He said sarcastically braking everyone's hearts and shaming just as many. "Naruto saved a bunch of nations single handedly. Armed with nothing but his bare hands his charm and a can do attitude. Clearly we needed Sasuke back after he ran off with Orochimaru because life was so hard for you fuckers with out the one true hero of Konoha being around. To scoff at your whore daughters and ass kissing". He continued destroying them more. Ino was completely ashamed of herself for the waisted years.
"Lee please stop it". Neji weakly ordered Lee laughed at everyone. "Please stop it. I wonder how many times Naruto shouted that when ever these creatures would gang up on him?". Those who have shook tearfully with so much shame. "Oh suck it up you faggits. I don't care anymore about your feelings, then you guys did when you'd beat the fourths your greatest heroes son nearly to death. Till you found out he was related to him anyway. Hell it's good for them Neji let's them know their place, like they tried with the real hero of Konoha and they're not Naruto. So they more then deserve it, with interest and they don't have him here to save them anymore". He mocked everyone was braking down now making him laugh uncaringly at them.
"LEE THATS ENOUGH". Kakashi ordered slamming his hand down making him grin unaffected. "What are you going to do if I don't Kakashi Chidori me? Has it ever been used on anyone who wasn't a comrade before? Then again I am Konoha to even my own disgust now so it's right up your alley". He dared Kakashi glared angrily at him making him chuckle and stand up. "What ever it is that makes you so scary. Be it your stolen eye of a traitor or that fucking Jutsu. It doesn't matter because Sakura called it". Lee said getting in to Kakashi's face. "You didn't help Naruto as a student at all you're just a fucking traitor lover. I bet you could of even saved Rin". He mocked Kakashi glared dangerously making him smile more everyone shook. "You know why the dynamic entering has the name? It's because it has risks like the Chidori when a person's back is turned and you're the only one on the field it works amazingly". He said with a drunken chuckle.
"But like the Chidori if you're not then it would be stupid to use it. Because your people could get in the way and like that powerful mid-air kick you can't stop till you hit something. Which I more then assume you weren't thinking about were you? You just had a great one person kill move and wanted to use it didn't you?. Never mind the charging with it to an opponent and the low survival rate incase something fucked it up?". Kakashi shook angrily teary eyed to Lee's heartless amusement. "And what happened afterwards eh? Rin jumped in your way just in time for Obito to poke his demented little head out and see you kill her. What happened next because neither of you were thinking?". Everyone gave Kakashi a sorry look as Lee glared.
"I'll tell you what happened Kiri had a genocide a new and evil Akasuki was formed. We lost the 4th Hokage and the great Uzumaki Kushina. Jinchuuriki suffer the stigma never allowing them to succeed passed useful weapon. While Naruto lost his parents and spent years being abused and then killed by to him his only family. ALL BECAUSE YOU AND THAT STUPID BITCH DIDN'T FUCKING THINK". Lee shouted in Kakashi's face making his heart shatter. "I also heard about Haku if it's not deliberately for comrades its unintentional targets or unintentional comrades, and you just had to pass it on to Sasuke". Kakashi looked down completely and mentally destroyed. This was his braking point.
"You know what I would of done. I'd focus on evacuating my friend. I would have contacted a perverted Seal master and use him to fix the seal". Kakashi's eyes widened as he looked at the grinning drunk. "Who knows then maybe Naruto could of had a teacher worth a damn. That is if those cunts didn't start attacking her to who am I kidding of course they would of, it's in their nature the fucking monsters". Tsume Inoichi Choza and Shikaku and everyone else were heartbroken at the accusation. Kakashi shook seeing now both Naruto's and Rin's blood on his hands. "I see it to Kakashi my hands are still red in my mind as well". Lee assured Kakashi looked at him shaking as he grinned.
"Are you happy I stopped fucking with these people Kakashi? The ones that used and abuse Naruto your supposed little brother, can you ever defend the right person?". Lee asked Kakashi glared. "Like you did?". He accused Lee chuckled at that he grabbed and drank from Kakashi's glass. "I know exactly what I did look at me now. I killed the greatest man in Konoha the next Hokage. Who earned the position with out you and brought back the wrong person who even though we have Konohamaru now. Who could be the next Naruto they'll make Sasuke the next Hokage I know it. Because they don't like his attitude another thing they created. Konohamaru will be the next Naruto in the worst possible way because of them". He predicted with a chuckle everyone was finally in tears this wasn't Lee.
"My Nindo was to be a splendid shinobi as I used to call it. Now I'm joining a suicide squad for a war that most likely will happen. All because I couldn't defend my comrade when he needed me most. So now my Nindo is to kill anyone who fucks with the few people I have left. Enemy or ally alike". Everyone's eyes widened in shock Tenten and Neji nearly broke down. "When I go to Iwa I intend to kill as many as I can. Before they put me down as because as long as I'm alive they will die. I plan to claim Minato's tittle as Iwa's Devil and unlike that pussy I won't stop. Not until I'm put down". He announced walking out with a grin he was ready to kill, leaving everyone with that.
End of flashback.
The two sat down to have a drink thinking about where it all went wrong, sadly they knew exactly where it happened. Neji stood up after finishing his drink. "I'm going to get ready please T don't work to hard". He asked good to the door. "Neji". She called out making him stop as she looked at her. "Could you stay for a while". She asked he looked at her surprised but nodded. "Of course".
The next day Land of Demons.
That bitter drunken joke from Sakura's and Lee's heartless misery quickly spread through out the elemental nations. After the truth about Naruto's death was revealed Shion contacted Kankuro with an offer to take all missions from Demon's. After finding out about Gaara's revenge she couldn't think of a better replacement. She also informed Inari and Kazahana who now looked to Suna for missions and trade. Something Gaara used to boost his alliance with Kiri with one land and other sea. Wave under Inari is one of the most heavily defeated places outside the land of fire. Something the Fire Diemyo couldn't intervene on since Wave is outside his borders and is still great for the economy. Now Konoha is loosing everything their once most hated hero gave them.
With Konoha citizens looking for any excuse as to why they were abandoned without admitting the real logical reason. A drunken Sakura jokingly and accidentally but also uncaringly gave them one. So now teams Kakashi Guy Asuma Kurenai and the Konohamaru Corp were escorting people to Demons. Tsunade and Jiraiya decided to join as well. Tsunade wanted Konohamaru to see that everyone was ashamed of their actions. Unfortunately Konohamaru wasn't forgiving and let it be known. She understood his reasons better then anyone but if he wanted to be Hokage he'd have to let go of his anger.
Konohamaru was irritated he hated being this close to his elder brother's killers and former abusers. "So any of you bastards going to actually pray for his spirit to rest this time?". Konohamaru asked out of the blue getting looks. "Or is it just to get the places he gave you back. Like he's going to pop up and go boo support Konoha again". He mocked everyone looked down sadly. "Figured as much I mean don't look at it logically like you're all a bunch of fucking idiots and everyone now knows it. No obviously Naruto's ghost has to be roaming around giving marketing advice". He said with an annoyed look his teammates nodded in agreement making Ebisu frown. "We just want to say sorry". A civilian informed depressed Konohamaru chuckled. "He's buried in Konoha's grave yard. Instead of going there and keeping your fellow retards from desecrating his grave again what are you doing?". Konohamaru asked the shameful groups of people. Tsunade was thankful Danzo didn't tell anyone that the body they had was a fake and no one else was around when Lee brought it up. It was the luckiest thing in her mind. She also swore everyone Konoha had on the mission to silence now, still worried because those involved continued suffering nightmares from that night herself including. Now she just hoped Kisame would stay quiet as well as Konohamaru continued.
"You're taking a big stupid journey to a random temple because foxes hang out there. A five hundred year old temple that has nothing to do with Naruto but hey foxes equal Naruto right? Because that logic served you all fucking greatly in the past". Everyone was kind of embarrassed Sakura nodded this was just an excuse to leave Konoha for a while. "So why did you volunteer to come then?". Kiba asked miserably Konohamaru snorted. "I didn't Tsunade-Sama ordered me to join. Then Inari asked me to come by to would you like to know why?". Everyone nodded with concern. "Because I'm not a fucking piece of shit bigot. Because I'm likeable and loyal to my friends something you and your idiot mom know nothing about Kiba". Kiba flinched Tsume looked down sadly. "I honestly don't know if Naruto is haunting us. I don't really care either". Choza said truthfully getting people's attention. "I don't care about discounts from Wave or the missions from Demon's and Spring". He said full of shame Konohamaru was listening.
"You're right kid I was a bigot. Like a fool I joined the group wanting him dead back in the day. Then voted on denying the poor boy his heritage not even because of Iwa but spite. Shikaku Shibi and Hiashi were the only ones against it". This surprised Hinata and Neji. "We were sworn to keep his identity and status secret according to Danzo's Journal. He reviled his Jinchuuriki status. Like the bastards we are we didn't help him when he needed us most". Konohamaru rolled his eyes in obvious annoyance. "Then he still grew up into a brave and strong Konoha proud. Saving our lives a dozen times over I've felt like a bastard since he was only nine years old watching him hang out with Choji". Choza said heartbroken. "If we knew back then that Kushina was his predecessor for the Kyuubi maybe it would have helped. I don't know but Instead all we saw was a monster that took our friends away from us. Then Lee calls us all out I know you don't believe me but we would have never harmed Rin". He explained Tsume felt so guilty over it she wished she had Mikoto's back, when she demanded Naruto be protected when they refused to let her adopt him.
"So you knew the hole time fucking wastes the lot of you. I'd say give up your potions but then your dumb ass kids would take over being useless". The councillors that joined were completely ashamed of themselves. "Who knows maybe his parents are waiting there with him. Lady Kushina's temper is legendary so who wants two ghostly Jinchuuriki after them. Hell she's apparently still torturing Jiraiya". Everyone shivered with worry at hearing that. Jiraiya drank from his flask till Lee snatched it and chugged it dry then tossed it. Guy frowned totally heartbroken at the sight. "Anyway when we get there Inari Gaara Shion and I have a matter to discuss. Do yourselves a favour and shut the fuck up". Konohamaru ordered Shikamaru was curious Konohamaru grinned at him.
The Temple.
A large temple was up a long flight of stone stairs inside the Temple was a huge statue of Inari Okami God of foxes, fertility, rice, saki, agriculture, industry success and worldly gain. Inari Shion Gaara Temari and a visiting Kazahana were talking with one another. Tsunade recognized one of the leader's of Takigakure Shibuki, who was accompanied by a tanned skinned mint green haired girl. The girl seemed to lack anything resembling modesty with what she was wearing. Tsunade assumed she was Fu the Seven tailed Jinchuuriki. She was talking to Temari who was petting an orange fox pup, that was resting on her legs it growled in her defence the moment it saw Konoha. The pilgrims saw it as an ill omen. Temari and Fu found it cute it only relaxed when Konohamaru Moegi and Udon approached. Ebisu didn't believe in the story so hung around his students but remained silent. "Hey guy's dropping off another batch". Konohamaru informed they nodded Inari sighed. "They better buy some of those stupid fox figures. Good cause or not my sculptures are sick of making the fucking things". Inari informed annoyed making everyone grin.
"You're the one who decided to capitalize on the legend". Kazahana said Inari shrugged. "Why not they think Naruto's some kind of ghostly fox thing and are praying at the Inari temple. In order to get him to tell Lady Shion to tell me to supply Konoha cheaply again. Naruto was plenty of great things an economic genius was not one of them to my knowledge anyway". Inari countered with a sigh everyone chuckled at that. "Who knows hell I'm psychic with a ninety nine percent accurate prediction streak. Naruto was that unpredictable one percent so I'll believe he could have been good at economics". Shion returned Gaara chuckled.
"He did change my outlook on life allowing me to rise up as Kazekage". Gaara praised Kazahana smiled. "Completely changed the weather in my nation from freeing cold, to spring warm while liberating it at the same time a man who could do that could do anything". She assured as Shion grinned. "Expect realize when someone's making a pass at him". She reminded making the group laugh then sigh fondly missing, their blond friend. "Maybe you guys are right but still I might be named after the god, doesn't mean I'm controlled by offerings to his shrine". They chuckled again and nodded in agreement. "That's what you think we Jinchuuriki are tricky and according to legend. Brother 9 was the trickiest of us all". Fu defeated smugly Gaara chuckled. "True enough but please Fu it's Naruto use his name not number". Gaara corrected Fu shrugged uncaring.
"You and I both know our names don't matter to most at least yours didn't before, the hole second Jinchuuriki Kage in history thing". She stated making everyone frown especially Shibuki. "Come on Fu where's that peppy attitude. You always had?". Shibuki asked worried she frowned at him. "That fades when your entire village is hoping the pervert gives out the Jinchuuriki killing seal". Gaara glared at Shibuki who sneered. "Is that so looks like I have some beatings to hand out". Shibuki said angrily surprising everyone especially Tsunade and Fu. "Won't that cause problems with your council?". Tsunade asked the Taki leader who shrugged.
"I may not be a Kage and only one of three leaders but in my village, when my councillors and fellow commanders threatened one of my citizens and Shinobi, their opinions and status cease to matter. With my villages size when I have to remind people why I'm In change I do just that". Shibuki informed angrily. "So if I have to beat my own to show them their place I'll do it. Can't have them thinking I'm a tool to be used, especially when it comes to Fu. She's human she's my friend and she deserves respect whether they like it or not". Shibuki said getting a smile from Fu and a respectful nod from the siblings and Konohamaru while Tsunade felt like shit. "Where were you with that logic 17 years ago?". Tsunade thought heartbroken she and Hiruzen could of used it the most, with their people.
As she continued shaming herself Tsunade kept an eye on Konohamaru while Shikamaru entered the Temple trying to ignore them. "Is he still trying to be ambassador?". Temari asked Konohamaru nodded. "I hate him but I've never seen a Nara work so hard in my life. Are you really surprised that he still misses you?". Konohamaru asked Temari shook her head thinking about everything. "I know he does but I don't care it's one of the reasons why Inari called you". Temari informed Inari and Gaara nodded. "Mind if I listen in?". Tsunade asked Konohamaru glared Gaara shrugged. "I'd have to talk to you about it anyway so fine". Gaara said Inari looked at Konohamaru who agreeed. "So still not Hokage yet Konohamaru?". Temari asked he shook his head. "One day but I'm not winning the popular vote right now". Everyone nodded with a frown Tsunade was still hopeful.
"Kankuro's spy's in Iwa found out they're preparing for war. You need to talk to Onoki if he refuses we're preparing on our end". Gaara said Konohamaru was worried but not surprised like Tsunade unlike Moegi and Udon. "Is Amigakure still off limits?". Konohamaru asked Gaara nodded. "So that leaves my borders as their only way in. Rock pledge to fight against Iwa with Suna". Gaara informed Konohamaru nodded thankfully. "Is the Mizukage going to back you at least? After the Karin incident?". Udon asked Temari frowned. "The civil war took its toll on them former Mizukage Yagura offered his help as thanks for helping Kirigakure. Kisame and his men also volunteered with Suigetsu and Chojuro its the best they can do right now". She informed Konohamaru nodded. "A Kage level Jinchuuriki with three of the Seven, one being the tailless beast is a good start at least. Is Yagura-Sama feeling ok after everything?". Moegi asked Gaara frowned. "He's looking to regain some of his lost honour a threat to Suna is a threat to Kiri. Something he won't let happen again. He's been spear heading everything Obito related as well". Konohamaru nodded coldly.
"He find anything?". He asked they shrugged. "He managed to find one of Obito's safe houses but the bastard abandoned it the moment he saw him". Temari informed. "Yagura created his own group of hunters made of people effected by Akasuki and with nearly purged bloodlines they're out for blood. Those Pain and Angel people still appear with information and when there's fighting". Gaara informed with a grin. "We're getting closer every day and he keeps running". Konohamaru grinned. "Fucking Uchiha's". Everyone but Tsunade and Ebisu nodded when the man himself Sasuke walked out with Kakashi and Shikamaru. "Inari-Sama". Sasuke greeted humbly getting no response back.
"What about Foxtrot anything on that yet?". Udon asked confusing Ebisu Taki Shion and Kazahana, while Inari frowned silently suspicious worrying Tsunade. "He hasn't made any appearances that we know of, the only people that would know anything won't talk to us obviously". Temari informed Konohamaru nodded in understanding. "Who?". Kazahana asked as those in the know eyed each other. "It's just someone we've been hearing about, for all we know he's just a diversionary tactic Iwa's using to scare us". Konohamaru lied everyone else nodded the less non-combatants know about Foxtrot the better, they hoped for her safety anyway. "And the people who would know?". Fu asked suspicious herself now. "Iwa". Everyone lucky said making her nod. Inari continued silently eyeing everyone for a long moment before looking at Konohamaru.
"Anyway K my boy this war is going to be a cluster fuck. My guys are working round the clock to supply Suna. Kiri is going to defend Wave with our militia while you guys deal with it. Mei-Chan will have her fastest Ships delivering these supplies to Gaara's forces". Inari informed not giving Tsunade any attention. "What do we have to do to get the same deal?". Konohamaru asked professionally impressing Tsunade and his Sensai. "What if we…". Shikamaru started till Konohamaru pinned him with a glare. "I'm talking to Inari not asking for your ideas". Konohamaru said harshly shutting him up while Temari frowned and Inari was thinking.
"Look my people are still pissed but all things considered a threat to Konoha threatens our two biggest clients and besides I like you. So I'll give Konoha some credit to be payed at the end of the war. How's that?". Inari asked Konohamaru thought about it. "Depends on the amount and the price you also didn't mention interest. I'd rather throw the Kunai not have you slit my own throat with one". Tsunade Kakashi and Shikamaru were worried till Inari grinned. "Smart man I'll start Konoha off with five million at five percent interested but you'll pay half like Suna and Kiri. Waste it then it's ten for ten percent at, but it'll still be fifty for the goods. The more you waste the higher it goes". Inari informed Konohamaru was deep in thought.
"So best not miss a target ration everything, and pick up if possible as we go along". Konohamaru said Inari nodded. "Do you agree to this Hokage-Sama? We have blacksmiths but they don't have the numbers and time to forge for the entire war. We already have them working round the clock as it is". Konohamaru asked calmly putting her on the spot Tsunade was worried and silent, she hated being put in these potions. "I'll refer to your better judgement on this". She informed praying it didn't look like she'd pass the blame if something fucks up.
Konohamaru sighed and spat on his hand confusing them Inari did the same and they shook. "Deal". Konohamaru said Inari grinned. "I'll get the necessary paperwork ready then. Just remember Bro Wave gets its due". Inari said with an underlying warning Konohamaru nodded. "It will I'm not fucking around with bullshit excuses anymore and I'm guessing neither are you. I heard all about Tani". Inari nodded glaring at Tsunade making her flinch. "That goes double for you Senju you can't hide behind him like you did with Naruto". Tsunade nodded sadly at him Kakashi and Sasuke were just as heartbroken Inari was such a good kid before the truth came out.
"The next thing is we want you be the ambassador for Konoha". Gaara informed Shikamaru was shocked Temari ignored it or at least tried to. "Considering Choji's isn't up to it. We'd rather have someone we trust with a back bone". Temari added Konohamaru nodded thinking again. "I'd rather have Konohamaru stay in Konoha". Tsunade said getting an annoyed look for the young Sarutobi. "Care to explain Hokage-Sama?". Konohamaru asked clearly annoyed. "If you want to represent Konoha and be Hokage. You'll have to learn to control your temper first". Konohamaru raised and eyebrow. "Says the person who costed Kankuro that special gold coin nearly getting us all killed because of her own temper. Fine who do you recommend?". Tsunade was embarrassed she noticed Inari's knowing gaze on her again, it worried her but she was still about to speak when Konohamaru stopped her.
"I must remind you Hokage-Sama Ambassador Kankuro is the one most of the meetings will be with not Temari". Konohamaru informed Shikamaru knew why he brought it up. "Also they said people they trust that means no one you'd recommend". He added annoying everyone Konoha Inari grinned at that. "He's got a point Senju I'm also vary annoyed with your proposal". He added Tsunade was confused by that. "What proposal?". She asked making him frown. "Fuck you're useless if you don't know". He said annoyed making her flinch he then looked at Moegi, with a grin. "So darling want to get hitched?". He asked surprising the group. "What?". Moegi asked blushing madly Konohamaru glared while Inari shrugged.
"I got a letter from something calling Itself the Coalition of Honest Konoha Businessmen". He started Konohamaru was visibly pissed as he continued. "They want the Wave deal back so I was offended an alliance with Konoha, through marriage like I'm a Diemyo or Kage or something. They picked you of course seeing as I allow you in my land. I figured Tsunade had something to do with it". Konohamaru glared angrily at Tsunade who waved her hands defensively. "I had nothing to do with that I swear". She protested Inari grinned at Moegi. "I believe her still I wouldn't mind dear". She blushed more Konohamaru glared at the still grinning Inari.
"I said I wouldn't mind bro never said I'd do it. I'm old fashioned like that I'd rather steal your girl with my charm and dapper fashion sense". Konohamaru glared more then grinned at him. "Asshole". The two shared a laugh Moegi smiled a bit having Konohamaru come to her defiance. Udon and Shion chuckled with Kazahana Gaara and Temari. "I'm sorry Inari-Kun you are charming but I'd rather not be a trade tool Y'Know". She said he shrugged with a grin. "We're still young darling you'll fall for one of us eventually. Though I know it will be me Konohamaru is taking to long". Konohamaru shook his head in amusement. "Don't know what you're talking about Inari my boy". He replied Inari grinned. "You got the glare of a man in love my friend". Moegi and Konohamaru blushed as he chuckled. "Or you're just being a protective brother. Either way Moegi will fall for me eventually". Konohamaru grinned challengingly at Inari who returned it Moegi loved it.
"But Tsunade I better not get such an undignified offer again. Am I clear?". Inari asked dangerously she nodded she'll find those people later. "I apologize Inari-Sama I will find these idiots myself I swear". She promised embarrassment clear on for face as she bowed, to the person barely a third her age. "Good my Moegi-Chan should be treated with respect after all". Moegi blushed Suna Taki Kazahana and Shion grinned Konohamaru sighed. "If I punch you we lose the deal right?". Inari nodded with a grin. "I need a moment to think then". Everyone not Konoha besides team Ebisu laughed at that. "Oh my I feel so wanted right now". Moegi said with a blush looking at Udon.
"I ain't fighting over ya sis. I like brunettes anyway". He replied lazily they chuckled at her glare. Konohamaru started thinking. "How about Udon?". Konohamaru finally recommended surprising him. Ebisu mentally smiled at that. "Why me?". Udon asked Konohamaru smiled. "You're smarter then me when it comes to politics. You're also the mellow one that can hold his own. You're well liked in Suna Demons Spring and Wave in your own right. So I don't see a problem with it". He explained everyone not Konoha nodded in agreement. They then looked at Tsunade who nodded in agreement she wanted Konohamaru to replace her, she could of worded it better though. She'll have to explain that afterwards. "I support this". Gaara informed everyone else nodded as Udon sighed. "Very well I accept can Kankuro teach me puppetry to?". He asked Temari grinned. "Oh you two will get along just fine". Everyone chuckled at that. "Yo boy". They heard making Inari turn surprising the Konoha group. "Kisame-Sensai Suigetsu-Sempi". Inari greeted Konohamaru grinned at Inari who shrugged.
"I can't always rely on Shinobi to do the dirty work. A leader needs to lead from the front. Though having a 7 foot 6 psychopathic shark man has its uses Y'Know". Konohamaru chuckled and nodded in agreement. "Sasuke still haven't crawled back to Orochimaru yet?". Suigetsu asked dangerously making him frown. "Those days are long over Suigetsu-San. I've done nothing for Oto since". Sasuke replied full of shame. "I don't trust that statement". They turned to see Karin in an Suna uniform glaring at Sasuke who sighed. "Karin-San how are you?". Sasuke asked as she glared harder. "Seeing as I can't visit my cousin in Konoha. I have to settle for this bullshit". She said with distain Inari Shino Kazahana Kakashi Sasuke Temari Gaara Konohamaru and Tsunade frowned sadly at her.
"I could escort you there Karin". Sasuke offered Karin glared at him. "So you can add another Uzumaki to your kill list asshole? Or suck off Kusagakure like you did with Orochimaru?". Suigetsu and Kisame grinned at him. "She got over that crush Uchiha and you can't hide behind anyone anymore". Suigetsu said removing Zabuza's old sword. Konohamaru got out of the way a hand on his sword. Tsunade knew he wasn't going to help Sasuke. "If you want revenge do it". Sasuke said surprising them as he removed his eyepatch. "Gross". Konohamaru commented seeing the hole in Sasukes head as he nodded.
"Naruto gave me this Konohamaru. He got me back himself that night. That forgiving saint you all love wanted me dead. I to my shame broke his unbreakable willpower". Sasuke explained getting glares as he looked down sadly. "He's telling the truth I saw the hole thing". Kisame informed with a grin Inari nodded at Konohamaru. "He told me everything after a year of extremely hard and painful training, it was a deal we had". Inari backed up with Kisame smiled more now. "Though I wouldn't say he broke him Naruto went down fighting". He added with a chuckle Sasuke looked at Kisame. "Your brother wasn't vary happy either. Saw Naruto as the Hokage he'd be proud to serve". Sasuke looked down sadly and nodded in perfect understanding looking at everyone else.
"I was tortured when they brought me back. Physically and mentally my team abandoned me. The only family I had left". Kakashi just stared at him neutrally with Sakura. "Konoha either worships me or wants me dead and I don't care about either side. The vary thing I did it all for was a lie my revenge was for nothing but yours is more then justifiable". Karin and Konohamaru kept their glares Kisame just listened. "You want revenge please just wait till after the war. Then I'll get on my knees at Naruto's grave and do it myself". Everyone was visibly shocked at that. "The Uchiha's are dead Obito Itachi and I are the only ones left and I don't care anymore, the only brother I really had is gone because of me". Sasuke said sadly as he looked at Karin and bowed to her.
"Karin I swear after the war I'll do it. Just please let me help the people I care about at least once in my life". Sasuke begged everyone looked at the glaring Karin. "You're really torn up about it aren't you? Sasuke the proud being such a bitch". Suigetsu mocked Sasuke just nodded looking like a shell of himself. "I haven't slept properly in years. I've contemplated doing it more then once and every night, I'm plagued with nightmares of that night". He admitted as he looked at them. "I gave up everything for my fraudulent revenge, all you have to do is wait". He informed sadly as Karin looked at Konohamaru. "I actually like him better this way". Konohamaru stated coldly Tsunade was heartbroken as Gaara and Inari nodded in agreement it actually made Kisame frown while Karin kept her glare. "That pitiful look does suit you". She stated glaring at Sasuke's broken sad expression Karin walked up and smacked him hard, while Sasuke just stood there. "You know Sasuke". Karin started and punched him making his lip bleed.
"There was a time when I would have done anything for you". She punched him in the gut everyone Konoha walked out to see what was happening. "You probably could have gave me those cold indifferent looks forever". Karin popped him in the face blackening his good eye everyone just watched. Seeing as Karin had a Kage two swordsmen and even a few of their own, ready to stop them from jumping in, the female Jinchuuriki however was a complete unknown. "I was so pathetically in love with you. You could have probably hit me". She punched him in the jaw. "Abandon me". She gave him an uppercut. "And possibly even try to kill me". She gave him a spin kick knock him to the ground Suigetsu frowned at Karin while pulling Sasuke up.
"I guess growing up as something to bite down on does that to a person". She kneed him in the face, Fu and Gaara frowned with clear understanding hurting her leader and best friend and his siblings while Suigetsu held Sasuke. "But the one thing you never do is fuck with my family". She kicked him to the ground again and stomped on his head grinding her heel in to his head. "I want you to live Sasuke live on in to your twilight years. With no friends or a family of your own I want you to live with this loneliness for the rest of your fucking life". She ordered walking next to Gaara who was silent Sasuke sat up. He was mentally destroyed as a tear went down his lone eye while he sat there bloody face.
"Karin please". He begged she shook her head. "This is what you deserve so either do it now or not at all". She ordered Sasuke looked at everyone else who were silent. He pulled a Kunai aiming it at his heart shaking Konohamaru walked around him, removing his sword ready to cut his head off. "Tick-tock Uchiha". Konohamaru said Tsunade shook at the coldness Sasuke dropped the blade. "I can't abandon them". He said a tear falling to the ground Konohamaru sighed annoyed putting his sword back. "Then I guess you're going to live a long and depressing life Uchiha, can't say I envy you". Suigetsu said with a frown Fu continued watching silently for a minute, before sighing.
"All things considered just let him do it when the wars over. Because honestly I don't really see the logic in keeping him around afterwards, just seems like you refuse to let go of the past like he did, with his Clan". She stated shocking everyone as Sasuke frowned sadly. "Naruto was your cousin Karin as while as my and Gaara's Jinchuuriki brother. I've learned everything I possibly could about him like the other Jinchuuriki did and listened to you all talk about Naruto, like he was some kind of saint now this? It just seems contrary to everything he apparently stood for, sure he mite of tried helping the enemy before he was murdered. But nothing says he'd order them to stay alive out of spite either". She continued making Karin Inari Konohamaru and Gaara frown ashamed.
"You're right Fu but what if he doesn't?". Konohamaru asked still glaring at Sasuke. She shrugged uncaring. "Then he doesn't you can kill him yourself later or not either way he's completely miserable but right now useful, and you lot can spend all your time bothering with him or, moving on with your own lives. Naruto may of hated Sasuke and the rest of them in the end, but it doesn't mean he stopped caring about the rest of you". She advised everyone Naruto would still care about looked at each other thinking on her words, while everyone else frowned sadly. "To bad I would of killed him". Lee stated taking a swig from his flask, he wasn't the sentimental type anymore and it hurt his former teammates. Fu shrugged him off uncaring of his opinion on the matter.
"Whatever drunky he's right here and isn't fighting so either man up or shut up". Fu ordered calling him out making him grin, while Konoha was getting worried. Sasuke just sat there waiting. "He's still useful to the war Lee-San, a Mangekyō Sharingan even one of them can save Konoha lives". Ebisu finally chimed in getting glared at by Lee, that he surprisingly ignored. "He's right thinking it over, that damn eye seems to be everyone's answer to everything, but he is right this time". Konohamaru added annoyed at his own statement making Lee glare harder. "He's an expendable soldier with a power up Lee, a complete but useful throw away get some use out of him before he one of us or an enemy does him in". Konohamaru ordered Lee was furious at the back and forth and changing of minds. It wasn't till Konohamaru glared murderously at him that everyone but Lee moved back. "Don't fucking argue with me boy". He ordered with finality Lee was burning with rage it actually made Gaara frown, before Lee calmed down to just being angry. "Fine ya little prick I'm on the same squad as him, but that doesn't mean I'm backing him up". Lee stated Sasuke nodded weakly in understanding while Konohamaru shrugged. "Not my problem Lee he's not your problem anymore then the rest of your team is to me". He stated braking Tsunade's heart while his teammates frowned especially Ebisu. Tenten and Kiba looked down sadly they planned to join this new squad.
"Maybe I should contact Naruto's ghost again he always has good advice, on how to deal with people". Shion added annoyed with them, she couldn't let it go Naruto may not of been the lover she wanted. But she still vary much cared for him as one of her vary first friends. "My Lady I apologize on behalf of Konoha. I realize having my people in your land is annoying worst that they're discussing politics". Konohamaru said with a bow Shion waved him off. "I just hate having that thing on sacred grounds. It makes it worse that he brought the others. I'm sorry Fu but I still have grudges". She stated looking at Sasuke who lowered his head apologetically, while Fu shrugged. "I didn't say forgive him just don't waste your life over it". She stated making her sigh and nodded in understanding.
"I'm sorry to trouble you with my presence your grace, I know full well I'm the last person anyone wants to see". He said humbly as Sakura approached Shion continued to glare at her then her eyes widened for a moment. "Are you alright my lady?". Konohamaru asked worried Shion snapped off of it. "I see a field of fire and death there's blood everywhere. Not a battle but a full scale slaughter". She said shivering worrying them. "A man made monster in a fox mask he's coming and death will follow. Eyes frozen like that of the dead yet burning with hellfire and amusement". She looked at Sakura in shock and shaking scarring her.
"See you around Sakura-Chan". He says as he walks through fire unburned uneffected. No morals no ethics or honour only rules followed like a religion a man in black and grey". Shion said worried Sakura was terrified. "He'll be a devil a soulless entity. An true Angel of death. My god he'll kill everyone and anyone in his way". She stopped terrified. "Who?". Sakura asked shaking Sasuke was worried for Sakura. "A shadow no a Shade". Tsunade's eyes widened at hearing that. "Who? WHO IS HE REALLY?". Tsunade demanded uncaring about the looks. "A man of so many faces all of which masked his professional cruelty. He plays with people like chess pieces moving you anywhere he wants you to be. All of which will lead you in to death and destruction". She started hyperventilating a bit Lee listened intently he'll kill this monster himself or die trying, either way it's a win for him. "You are his and his alone to use till broken. My god he's death in its purest form his only shred of humanity is…". Shion's eyes widened in shock. "Is what? What's his only shred of humanity my lady?". Shikamaru asked as Shion glared at them angrily and tearfully. "I want you out NOW". She demanded the other Shinobi looked at Konoha ready.
Shion stood and pushed Sakura away. "Get the fuck out of my nation. You're all banished under penalty of death". She announced scarring everyone. "My lady please….". Tsunade tried to talk when she slapped her. "GET OUT". She shouted Inari snapped his fingers making Kiri and Suna draw their weapons. Konohamaru looked at them sadly but with understanding. "We'll leave immediately my lady". Konohamaru assured and bowed
Shion hugged him protectively in tears. "Please Konohamaru-Kun don't fight in the war. Stay here with your team please". She begged hugging him tightly Konohamaru looked down sadly. "I'm sorry Shion-Chan but I must fight for Konoha". He informed she looked at him in tears.
"I see betrayal hatred and a goal never to be reached you won't get what you want. No one will he'll see both nations burn merely for a profit". Shion informed in tears Konohamaru shivered but hugged her tightly back. "I'm sorry my lady". He said sadly before letting her go. "Let's go". He ordered the Hokage who merely nodded in worry. "A Shade? It can't be he's dead please let him be dead please don't let it be him". Tsunade mentally prayed. Shion watched him go heartbroken Inari took the time to plan he looked at Kisame and nodded for them to head to port and from there home. Gaara looked at the worried Karin who returned it. "I'm sorry my lady but we should leave as well". Gaara informed Shino nodded tearfully as Suna and Taki left as well. "Please be carful". She mentally prayed what she saw was a hell she hoped it wouldn't happen. "Shion-Chan what did you see?". Kazahana asked worried for her fellow ruler, who shook then started explaining to Kazahana's own terrified expression.
The ship back to Rivers Konohamaru's room.
Seeing as most of Konoha was still banished from Wave, the sad and ashamed travellers had to go to the Land of Rivers new port. Plenty tried crossing the legendary bridge to pled their case, or simply see the Ichiraku's again only to be violently attacked and dragged back out. At this moment Konohamaru was busy sharpening his sword when he heard a knock at the door. "Come in". He ordered then frowned immediately at seeing Tsunade. "Lady Hokage". He greeted Tsunade sat down Konoha pulled out a cigarette and lit it. "What can I do for Hokage-Sama?". Konohamaru asked she sighed. "About what I said back at the temple I'm sorry I should have worded it better". She started getting his attention. "It's true you need to work on your anger not that I'm one to talk as you've stated but the reason why, I wanted you to stay. Well was because I wanted you to learn more about your future station". Konohamaru raised an eyebrow at her. "I want you to be my successor I honestly do hate me or not. I know you'll hate hearing this but the Konoha 10 Sasuke Jiraiya and Kakashi, they're the best Konoha has….". She trailed off for a minute surprised when Konohamaru nodded in agreement.
"11 out of the traitor 13 are useful. I agree with you on that, but I take issue with Jiraiya and Sasuke. The Uchiha is a traitor from a clan of full of them. While Jiraiya is a junkie I've researched his network. It's not good". Tsunade frowned worried so he elaborated. "I had monkeys follow him everytime he left Konoha to check his network, it was out of worry before the truth about Naruto came out then I did it because I didn't trust him". Tsunade was shocked to hear this. "Jiraiya owned stocks in bars restaurants host and hostess clubs. He didn't invest in brothels exempt if the girls were willing and vary well taken care of. Preferring to help madams whether then pimps. Believe it or not Jiraiya never asserted his will on any of the girls. According to them he was a little perverted as usual asking for details for his books, and peeping not that they cared but always refused extra services even when offered freely". Tsunade looked down stunned she knew Jiraiya had underlying respectful boundaries with women, but never thought he'd reject willing company.
"His secondary spy's were blue collar types, carpenters construction workers and the like. While his top people were NukeNin's like Itachi for obvious reasons". He continued Tsunade was seeing the hole picture now. She thought about all the times Jiraiya found her when she did everything to disappear. She wondered why so many bars and casinos never bothered chasing her when she ran out on a tab or debt, and felt incredibly stupid thanking of all the time she thought she was being slick. "Why though?". She asked as Konohamaru took a puff. "Because NukeNin can infuriate gangs and organizations like Akasuki, all they require is money and protection from their villages. The working class extra money for their families or just booze and company. They normally had floor plans for the NukeNin or they'd hear things they're not supposed to. As for the lady's well…". Konohamaru gave her a "you won't believe this look" as he elaborated.
"Jiraiya 8 out of 10 times played a character back then. Seeing the self proclaimed super pervert gleefully going in to a hostess club, obviously wouldn't make anyone suspicious". Konohamaru explained nonchalantly. "It's actually brilliant hostess and prostitutes, are paid to keep secrets Jiraiya just paid more to get them while playing a character no one suspected". Tsunade nodded in understanding. "Most of the owners of the hostess bars and brothels. Were originally slaves or grew up in that kind of life. Jiraiya would help them out and offer them safety away from that shit, but some chose to stick with what they knew. So instead he helped them get off the streets and in brothels built like fortresses. With heavy security to boot all of whom Jiraiya trusted implicitly around the women". Konohamaru continued Tsunade looked down a little teary eyed she respected her best friend for that.
"That was until he killed Naruto with the others". He stated braking her she looked at him, see the hate an anger still clear in his eyes. "Jiraiya took care of the books and security himself, he refused to have anyone else going over his books because they could sell out his people, but after Naruto's death. The empire he built started braking apart from the in and outside". He informed taking a puff. "His clubs lost millions his restaurants and bars weren't getting deliveries. His workers weren't getting payed so quit while his NukeNin, were captured and killed or simply ran off. Everything he built shut down. Add that with telling the toads to fuck off Jiraiya successfully destroyed his own spy network, while most of his businesses got bought out or bankrupted by rival businesses". Konohamaru said bluntly taking a puff Tsunade was heartbroken.
"So what you're saying is we don't have a spy network, so any information we'll get is from Suna". She stated Konohamaru nodded putting out his smoke. "Basically making Jiraiya completely useless". He said simply and bluntly hurting his Kage deeply. "I've tried everything I could to rebuild it myself, but secrecy was Jiraiya's specialty I can keep a secret as well but I'll admit he's better at it then I am. I've been researching his network for years and still haven't found out everything". Konohamaru informed honestly all Tsunade could do was nod in understanding.
"Anyway If you want me to be Hokage, then I accept the potion but I'll tell you now Tsunade I'll see Sasuke die, by my hand or his own". Konohamaru said coldly Tsunade couldn't fight him on it anymore, she wished she could but with complete and utter defeat she simply sighed and nodded. "Just please at the vary least hold off until the end of the war". She begged Konohamaru with plenty of contempt nodded. "I'll work on it Hokage-Sama". He promised Tsunade had to trust it as she stood up and left, while Konohamaru continued sharping his blade.
Present day Team Ebisu's training ground.
Konohamaru was training with Moegi and Udon. Ebisu was watching frowning at Konohamaru he was battling Mogie and Udon's clones. His tactics were ruthless so instead of sparring with his friends he'd requested they use clones instead. He was winning with no challenge but the sheer anger behind every punch and kick. It was growling in power the mark of an angry child not a proper level headed Shinobi in the special Jonin's opinion. "Ok let's take a break". Ebisu ordered Konohamaru ignored him summoning clones of himself that hinged in to Sasuke. Konohamaru charge if they didn't disappear it would be a brutal show. Udon sighed with Moegi as she was making tea and he was cooking some breakfast. They've been starting a 4 every morning just to keep an eye on him. Konohamaru was getting angrier he decimated his own clones out of anger. "KONOHAMARU THATS ENOUGH". Ebisu ordered angrily the young man stopped and glared at him.
"Fine". He said calmly taking a breath Ebisu was surprised how easy that was as Konohamaru sat down. "That was easier then expected". He commented Konohamaru shrugged. "Everything has a point me fighting their clones has a point. Attacking Sasuke hinged clones has a point. Training them and desensitizing myself". He explained Ebisu looked at him worried waiting for an explanation. "I've been trying to kill Sasuke you know that. I nearly got him to if Tsunade didn't sneak attack me the night everyone freaked out". Ebisu was still worried about his fellow Sensai's because of it. "As much as I hate to admit it the bastards useful. I need to continue fighting my hatred for the good of Konoha, and prove to Tsunade I'm living up to my promise to her". Ebisu was surprised to hear that as Konohamaru chuckled.
"I'm turning in to Sasuke Sensai he killed my brother and I hate him for it. I want him dead but nows not the time to do it. With Iwa at our gates. Sasuke is needed and we can't fight our own assets right now. Even a broken but useful traitor. Once his usefulness as ended I'll kill him one on one". Konohamaru admitted coldly removing Naruto's head protector off his head. "I'm not going to betray Konoha I'll move passed my hatred for it till the proper time comes. I will be Hokage in order to do that I first have to defend it. War is coming Udon Moegi Hanabi and myself we're the Konoha legacy kids. I don't plan to stay here while Iwa's at our door". Ebisu was shocked and angry. "You're just a kid you can't go out in that, I've seen war before and you're not cut out for it". He protested angrily Konohamaru looked at him coldly.
"You may be one of my Sensai's Ebisu but we are chunin now. We don't need to listen to you anymore". Ebisu was hurt by that. "I'm sick of being babied or moulded by comrade killers and bigots. Tsunade wants me to be left behind so I can calm down. That bitch Shikamaru is whining that I'm being mean to him and Sasuke wants me to feel sorry for him. Well I'm not and I won't stand for it". Konohamaru said angrily Ebisu nodded sadly then grinned all of a sudden. "Do you want to know what my favourite memory of Naruto is?". He asked confusing the others till Ebisu punched Konohamaru on the top of the head surprising him and his team. "Ouch what the hell?". Konohamaru asked angrily getting another harder one in the same spot Ebisu grinned.
"Do something about it boy". Ebisu challenge Konohamaru stood up and punched Ebisu dodged grabbing his arm twisting it and flipping him over on to the ground. "Naruto was an unknown phenomenon you're predictable. I've watched you grow from a whinny boy to a bitchy teenager. You don't stand a chance against me kid". Ebisu picked him up moving Konohamaru forward and kicking his ass pushing Konohamaru to the ground.
Konohamaru got up and dodged a spin kick. Ebisu charged him suddenly winding up for a hard right when Konohamaru went to block but Ebisu faked him out giving him a left to the jaw instead. The team never really thought much of Ebisu, he was a nice guy and all, but they looked down on him skill wise. Now seeing him fight it was genuinely shocking to them. "Kami some Hokage can't even take me on you little bitch". Ebisu mocked angering Konohamaru more he grabbed his grinning Sensai's shirt. Konohamaru lined up a punch and got and open handed slap across the face. He then doubled over in pain his annoyance from the slap drew attention away from Ebisu's knee to the groin.
His other students were shocked as Ebisu punched Konohamaru in the jaw. Spinning around him Ebisu kicked Konohamaru's leg out and put him in a tight chokehold. Moegi and Udon were worried Konohamaru's face was turning blue. "You…cheap*gasp* bast….". Ebisu's grip got tighter. "Do you honestly think there's honour in war boy?". Ebisu asked annoyed chocking him more. "Any advantage any opportunity no matter how dirty, is a fucking given in the Shinobi world". He informed angrily squeezing more Konohamaru was blacking out. "I used your angrily against you. I went for places you wouldn't because that's what the enemy will do. Swallow your fucking pride and deal with it you're not Naruto and you're never Fucking going to be". He let go a kicked Konohamaru to the ground.
"AM I CLEAR?". He shouted making his other two students jump. Konohamaru laid there stunned till his teacher grabbed him lifting him up. "You are Sarutobi Konohamaru. The grandson of the professor Sarutobi Hiruzen a student of the legendary Uzumaki Naruto himself, but you're still your own man. If you want to be Hokage then you best see that". Ebisu advised Konohamaru looked at him and nodded in stunned understanding. Ebisu hugged him tightly all of a sudden.
"I'm a special Jonin for a reason kid. It was the same reason Hiruzen turned me from a practicing ANBU in to your bodyguard babysitter and Sensai". He explained getting their attention as he looked at Konohamaru seriously. "I have a photographic memory not to many people know that and I may only have fire for an element. Something I didn't have time to add to, but I know almost every justu in Konoha's arsenal and more. The only ones I don't are Tobirama's own forbidden Jutsu's. That was until you and Naruto started using them all the damn time, so I could figure it out". He explained shocking everyone as he stood up.
"I'm a walking Jutsu library Kakashi has a thousand stolen Jutsu's while I have twelve-hundred memorized ones. Now seeing as you dumbasses want to fight so badly. I'm going to teach everything to you". He assured stunning them even more. "Then if and I pray not when this war starts. I'll be joining you". He said angrily leaving no room for compromise they were speechless making him smile a bit. "I always wanted to be the father or a big brother figure to you three. That's not going to happen I know this, but fuck I'm still your Sensai and I'm not letting any of you do this by yourselves". He stated they were actually teary eyed at hearing that. "Now then let's get you ready". Ebisu ordered his team stood and nodded respectfully. "HAI SENSAI". They shouted for the first time it made Ebisu grin.
Hokage's office.
Tsunade was hard at work drop dead sober, she was going through battle plans and assigning troop deployments. She was praying it was all just a waste of time, a knock at the door pulled her attention from her work. "Come in". She ordered making Shizune do as told, the two frowned at each other. Something that was unfortunately the norm between the two now. "Hokage-Sama Kitsuchi the ambassador of Iwa is here". She informed Tsunade was shocked. "Fuck how did I forget that?". She whispered worried Shizune frowned more. "It wasn't scheduled this is a surprise visit". She informed Tsunade was stunned then got professional looking, internally worried.
"S-send him in please". She ordered calming herself down her former but still beloved surrogate daughter went to do as told. When Kitsuchi walked in Tsunade did everything not to glare, Kitsuchi had his fathers big nose bitty eyes and arrogant grin. Though something about his eyes made Tsunade question his conviction, to fight a war with Konoha, his smile also seemed forced. She heard about how Kitsuchi unlike his father and daughter was the calm and well adjusted one between the three, while Iwa was a vengeance fouled rocky blight. Always whining after losing a thousand plus Shinobi Kitsuchi's own wife being one of them to Minato, though Kitsuchi seemed to be the only one not out for blood even though he deeply loved his wife.
He even reminded quite during the peaceful negotiations/arguments my for Minato's head. "Hokage-Sama". He greeted with a bow Tsunade nodded. "Kitsuchi-San welcome how is Onoki-Dono?". She asked making him shrug. "As grouchy as always, though my daughter doesn't help". He returned pretty casually all things considered, Tsunade offered him a seat that he accepted. "So to what do I owe the pleasure of this surprise visit?". She asked making him frown. "My father has extended an offer to resolve, our current problems with each other without blood shed". He informed making Tsunade raise an eyebrow. "He wants peace?". She asked making Kitsuchi nod. "The only reason he's not here himself, is because of past grievances with the local population of your village". He assured making her suspicious now as he sighed.
"As a show of good faith he requests that negotiations, be held in Iwa this time though your protection is at your own discretion of course, but my father assures a non-hostility agreement". He informed making Tsunade show her mistrust now. "And why would I trust the fence-sitter, with such a promise?". She asked internally burning up with rage, all the son of Onoki could do was sigh. "Look Hokage-Sama I fully understand the mistrust you have towards my father. It's something he more then earned himself". He stated surprising her as he continued. "My great grandfather rest his soul was basically the hole reason why my village was founded. He was honest with people, earned their trust their respect and fought on their behalf as much as they did for him". He took a breath before continuing.
"It's that vary reason he became the first Tsuchikage to begin with. It wasn't just for his strength and skill as a Shinobi either, he was already pushing his ninety's after all". Tsunade nodded with a frown as she listened to the Iwa nin. She remembered first meeting the old man himself sitting alone on a park bench, he spent a few hours just listening to the child Tsunade yammer on about what ever. Totally interested while honestly laughing at all her dumb jokes. He told her stories about his younger days as well before she was told exactly who the kind old man was by her uncle Tobirama. He never even attempted to pray in to Konoha's secret affairs, with her he just seemed to enjoy the company. Her grandfather also had a huge amount of respect for the older Kage as well. She even remembered crying at his funeral the old man passing at the ripe old age of a hundred and twenty.
"Look Iwa has done plenty of underhanded things, I'll be the first to admit it but another war isn't something I want. I know you do trust us but I swear all I want is peace". Kitsuchi assured honesty Tsunade even saw it in his eyes he was telling the truth. "I remember years ago after the third war, you were quiet during the negotiations were everyone else demanded the fourths head why?". She asked making him sigh. "Because it wouldn't of brought my wife back, because she made me promise no matter what happened, neither one of use would seek revenge. Because taking it out on someone like Naruto would of been disgusting". He said with a frown surprising her.
"I've personally taken the lives of plenty of fathers mothers sons daughters husbands and wives. Not once has any of their people called for my or Kurotsuchi's head because of it. A soldier in a war is meant to kill that's it that's all you're yellow flash was a soldier in a war". He said sadly. "To focus everything on revenge instead of taking care of my daughter, Would have been spitting on my wife's memory, and the true Stonehart Way plenty of my people think the same as I do and don't want to lose anyone else". He admitted looking down. "There was a time when stonehearted meant brave loyal strong and compassionate for their people. Mu changed that and made my father think the same way. My great grandfather's legacy my family's legacy was perverted, he taught me the true values before he died I just want to bring them back to the forefront where they belong". He informed shaking and bowed his head.
"Please Tsunade-Sama I've spent months trying to convince my father to negotiate peace, at the vary least hear us out". He begged Tsunade frowned at him. "Fine when does your father want to meet?". She asked he lifted his head thankfully. "One week from today at 9am Monday morning, at the gates of Iwa. I've made absolutely sure no one will do anything stupid". He assured looking down Tsunade stood up and the two shook hands before he bowed and lifted, both needed to prepare.
Iwagakure meeting day.
Tsunade as a show of strength entered Iwa, with Shikamaru Sasuke and Kakashi. While also showing her faith by bringing Konohamaru. They noticed and man in a pitch black outfit and hooded coat, his face was covered with a pail gray fox mask standing next to Onoki. "Hokage-Dono". Onoki greeted she nodded in recognition. "Tsuchikage-Dono who's your friend?". She asked making him frown and look at the man who shrugged, confusing Konoha it was like Onoki was asking for promission. "This is a…specialist and friend to Iwa, I asked that he join us in this meeting". Onoki informed as his "friend" gave them a lazy two fingered salute as a greeting, while they kept looking him over something told them he was grinning under his mask.
"Do you have a name Sir?". Shikamaru asked suspiciously and carefully. "Several". He replied simply making them frown. "Is one of them Foxtrot?". Konohamaru asked getting straight to the point, the black clad man chuckled. "Yep". He informed with a lazy shrug everyone but Konohamaru shook. He looked just like Shion's description. "So Sarutobi Konohamaru the great lord sixth himself, should I be bowing?". He mockingly asked Konohamaru returned the mocking with a shrug. "It's honestly up to you though it won't mean much to me, after all it's not like your ghost or anything". Konohamaru returned Foxtrot was silent for a moment, Konoha saw the worry in the eyes of Iwa surprising them. Till Foxtrot started laughing and nodding.
"Yeah the old bastard still likes showing us up when the mood hits him, that's for sure". He said with chuckling more. "Still it doesn't mean I'm not a monster in my own right". He assured with a deadly tune even Konohamaru felt a shiver going up his spin. "Still unless I'm ordered to attack, I'll just be here watching and waiting at all times". He informed sweat went down the side of Konoha's faces as he chuckled. "Oh relax I haven't been ordered so no need to worry". He assured then went completely silent Konoha continued staring, something he returned till Onoki coughed getting there attention.
As both sides talked they failed to see an Iwa shinobi on the roof, behind the Iwa crowd. She took aim with her crossbow get Tsunade and grinned. Konohamaru scanned the area danger senses tingling, when his eyes widened he immediately jumped in front of Tsunade taking a bolt to the chest, piercing his heart. Tsunade and Kitsuchi's eyes widened with the rest of Konoha's people as the Tsuchikage glared at Konohamaru, while his son looked everywhere at seeing his daughter on the roof he shook angrily, surprising her. "You fucking moron". He shouted turning to Konoha now it was war. "KONOHAMARU". Kakashi shouted then angrily glared at Iwa, Kitsuchi frowned sadly. "FIRE STYLE: GREAT FIREBALL". He shouted spitting a huge flaming ball at Onoki and the seemingly unfazed assassin only for the Kitsuchi to make an earth wall blocking it. "You bastard this is on you". Kitsuchi said angrily making his father frown. "EARTH STYLE: EARTH SPERS". Kitsuchi shouted launching sharp spears of rock at Konoha.
Foxtrot continued standing there as Kurotsuchi reloaded and Iwa attacked. "Fucking amateurs". Foxtrot commented as Sasuke grabbed Konohamaru before he could fall. "SUSANOO". He shouted as giant purple skeleton started appearing around the two, blocking the Kitsuchi's attack. Everyone but Foxtrot moved back as Konoha jumped behind Sasuke. Foxtrot looked at Onoki and shook his head and ran towards them, jumping up he went through the top of the ultimate shield before it fully formed, Sasuke was shocked as Foxtrot landed.
He avoided him in favour of Kicking Kakashi Tsunade and Shikamaru away for Iwa to attack, Foxtrot then dodged Konohamaru's tonto. Who pulled the bolt out of his chest, Foxtrot noticed a slug on him. "Smart". He complemented Konohamaru glared, he made some hand signs, only for Foxtrot to grab his fingers. "Remember Karin paid for your safety and Itachi was nice enough to help his foolish little brother, making you two safe from me anyway". Foxtrot informed shocking them. "Doesn't mean I'm allowing everyone else to leave though". He said pulling his knife and attacking Tsunade. Konohamaru ran after him Foxtrot slashed Tsunade's face then blocked Konohamaru's blade.
Tsunade healed instantly and punched, Foxtrot brought his blade up, and stabbed Tsunade's wrist she continued on slicing her arm nearly getting him. Loud buzzing was heard getting Iwa's attention Foxtrot jumped to Onoki and dropped canisters. Gas was released as Foxtrot looked at Onoki. "Well? Put on your masks". He ordered as Iwa geared up. "The insects stopped immediately as the other members of the Shadow strike and Raven Core appeared. "We have to go". Tenten shout firing her new crossbow several times, four at Onoki and once at Kurotsuchi.
She saw sparks in the gas and a knife fly up deflecting the one heading for Kurotsuchi. Foxtrot walked out of the gas examining the bolt. "Interesting". The assassin said throwing it back at a faster speed Lee caught it and glared. "I'LL KILL YOU". He shouted. "K". Foxtrot shouted back Lee ran but was pulled by Neji. "RUN". He ordered as they took off Foxtrot and Iwa running after them. They jumped from rock to rock as Iwa got closer. Knives flew by them courtesy of the assassin. Kakashi and Lee wanted to turn and go down definitely but their friends needed to get out. "Damn it everyone on me". Kakashi ordered as they stopped.
"Giving it one last go eh? Good for you". Foxtrot mocked. "Under the rules Sasuke and Konohamaru, can't be touched by me so you lot can have them". Iwa grinned as Foxtrot pulled his knives. "Kakashi what's your plan?". Konohamaru demanded pulling his blade only for Kakashi to grab him. "Grab on". He ordered Foxtrot bolted towards them his knife came dangerously close to Kakashi's eye before they vanished. Stabbing his knife in to the ground. "So he does know it hmmm". Foxtrot huffed before holstering the blade. "No matter it's just a bigger pay out now". He thought grinning under his mask.
Kakashi's appartment
Everyone bursted from a cabinet landing hard on the ground. "Fuck". Lee said everyone nodded in agreement. "Was the the flying thunder god?". Shikamaru asked surprised Kakashi sat up and nodded surprising everyone. "You had the 4ths legendary Justu the Iwa fears, THIS HOLE FUCKING TIME WHATS WRONG WITH YOU?". Konohamaru shouted punching Kakashi. "It wasn't something I've had a lot of practice with so…". Kakashi started getting punched again. "Please relax Konohamaru your still healing, a crossbow bolt to the heart takes time even for me". Katsuyu ordered on his shoulder as he sighed. "I'm out of here and I apologize Katsuyu-Sama". He said walking out leaving everyone laying there sadly.
Iwagakure.
Kitsuchi was destroying Onoki's office. "YOU FUCKING BASTARD YOU STUPID CHILD". He shouted picking up Onoki's three hundred pound desk and throwing it through the window. Kurotsuchi was frowning with Onoki while everyone else was shaking. Foxtrot was casually reading a magazine. "I WARNED YOU WAR WITH KONOHA IS A BAD FUCKING IDEA NOW WE ARE AND FOR WHAT?". He demanded slamming a foot on the ground making the building shake. "They killed mom and thousands of our people dad we should..". Kurotsuchi started then was smacked hard across the mouth, shocking everyone else. "And they'll kill even more then that this war, and the one after that and the one after that. TILL NONE OF US ARE LEFT THATS WHAT I WAS TRYING TO AVOID". He smacked her again.
"ENOUGH OF THIS YOU MORONS WANT A WAR YOU HAVE ONE, BUT WHEN YOU GET KILLED IM NOT AVENGING EITHER OF YOU". He stated shocking his daughter as he looked at her with disappointment. "My daughter died years ago and I have no father. I am the commander of the Iwa forces so I'll fight take and give orders but don't expect me to care about either of you anymore". He stated pushing her aside and walking out. Onoki sighed he this was another stupid idea but he had to see it through. "Well he was dramatic". Foxtrot said with a chuckle getting glares from Iwa. "But it's not like I haven't provided you lot with some winnable odds". He informed turning to them. "So let's have ourselves a good old fashioned war". He ordered as he vanished leaving Iwa there glaring at the vacant spot.
