"Xehanort is a devious tactician able to analyze any opponent and plan to be one step ahead. There is nothing we can do that he wouldn't have already predicted."

"So he knows about Kairi and Sora's exam?" Minnie asked worriedly.

"We have to assume so." Yen Sid muttered. "He likely knows of Riku's training as well."

"So you're telling me you put them in danger?! Xehanort's bound to be after them!" Elrena grunted in anger.

Yen Sid was completely calm. "Even a man as cunning as Xehanort has his limits. He knows he can't influence them as long as myself and the Queen are protecting them."

"Don't forget about us." Daisy reminded him quickly, pulling out her sword.

"I'm still worried about them…" Minnie sighed, thinking of how manipulative and deceptive Xehanort's Heartless and Nobody had been. She wanted to believe he really did have no way to get to them but what if that wasn't the truth?

"He is a cunning enemy, to be sure. He will think of l nearly every possibility." Yen Sid agreed, looking at them all. "That is why we must outwit him, catch him off guard."

They were all silent for a moment, thinking of anything Xehanort wouldn't have accounted for.

"… What about a new keyblade wielder?"

Yen Sid looked up in slight surprise at Elrena.

"You said he knew about you and Minnie, but that's only because you're known, old news. Kairi, Riku and Sora's reputation of going against his other selves precedes them…" Elrena continued. "What he wouldn't expect is a new wielder."

"I don't get it, who's going to be the new wielder?" Clarabelle asked.

Once again the room filled with awkward silence as they all turned to Elrena.

"No… No way!" Daisy growled realizing what she was truly suggesting. "She may have helped Kairi but that doesn't make up for all the things she did in the past! She doesn't deserve it!"

"You-!" Elrena was going to give a snippy remark back but then crossed her arms in defeat. "Grr… Fine, I'll admit it: You're right. I get why you wouldn't trust me with a keyblade and I probably don't deserve one but…"

The trio was surprised by this answer. Yen Sid tilted his head in interest.

"It's not about me." She muttered, glancing at the ground. "I want a keyblade so I can get my friends back. In exchange, I'll help you guys out however I can."

"Even if we're trying to beat Xehanort?" Clarabelle asked in surprise.

Elrena gritted her teeth in anger, her eyes sparking dangerously. "Especially if you're trying to beat Xehanort. He's the guy that made all of this happen."

Daisy looked between her two forgiving friends and sighed in defeat, knowing she wouldn't win this fight. "Alright, fine."

Yen Sid nodded in agreement. "You must know this will not be easy."

"Good." Elrena smiled, crossing her arms. "I like a challenge."
