Jayne was finalizing details for hers and JJ's wedding. It was coming up soon. The had decided the sooner the better.
Chase walked up to her, seeing how happy she was. "You know it really is good to see you smile like that."
Jayne looked up at him. "It's a wonderful time, it's hard not to smile. How are things for you?" She asked him.
"Not too bad, Violet went back to Finn so I moved out of The Quartermaines. Brook Lynn wanted to try again bust I just don't have it in me." Chase sighed as he took a seat.
"I'm really sorry if I messed that up for you. I was never trying to." Jayne worried that her presence played a part in them falling apart.
"Jayne if it weren't you it would have been someone else. We were friend, we are friends. You know I had feelings for you but I want you happy and JJ seems to do that." Chase told Jayne, not wanting her to feel any guilt.
Jayne gave him a smile, Chase was a great guy and she was lucky to have him as a friend. "He does and I'm happy you and I are friends. When I first came to town you were the first one I really connected with and I'm grateful for that."
"I am, too. Have you decided on a date?" Chase asked, he knew how excited she was about her wedding.
"Yes we have and it's very soon. We decided on February 23rd. We want to give anyone who needs time time to be at the wedding. I hope you will be there." Jayne said to Chase, she understood if he didn't want to though.
"I wouldn't miss it. You are going to be a gorgeous bride." Chase told Jayne as Robert walked into the room.
"Ahh, there you are. Our lunch was just delivered." Robert told his daughter.
"Would you like to join us?" Jayne asked Chase.
Chase shook his head. "Thank you but I had plans already. You two have a good lunch." Chase said before excusing himself.
Jayne and Robert went back to his office. "I'm kind of glad her had plans. I like having these lunches with just you." Jayne sat down in front of Robert's desk
Robert smiled while getting their food out. "I enjoy it, too, Here you go." He handed her her food.
"Thank you, dad." Jayne sat her food on the other side of the desk. "Are you ready to give me away?" She asked him before taking a bite.
"No but yes at the same time. I see how happy JJ makes you and he's a great man. I can't think of anyone I would rather see you with." Robert told his youngest before digging into his food.
"I'm so glad you and mum like him so much. He makes me feel whole, mum said that's how you and her are, too." Jayne couldn't help but smile hoping she found a little of what her parents had.
"It is, I don't have to tell you that she is my world. It doesn't take much to see what you and JJ mean to each other. I'm very happy for you two. Have you decided on a song for our dance?" Robert asked her.
"Not yet, I want it to be special." Jayne told her father. Getting more excited as the wedding grew closer.
