Rose and Holly were sitting in Kelly's discussing the wedding. Jayne and JJ had decided to have the ceremony at the townhouse and the reception at Kelly's, since both places were special to them and people they loved.
"You know I really wish Joe was here for this. Joey was his life." Rose looked over the picture of her stepson.
"I think he's yours, too. You and Joe both did a wonderful job with him. Just like his dad, he's one of the good guys." Holly smiled as she took her friend's hand.
"You better believe it. I'm not saying he wasn't a handful but he's always been a good person and to be honest that's probably the thing I did in my life that I'm most proud of." Rose beamed with pride.
"As you should be. I'm proud of mine and Robert's children, too. I'm also very happy for you and Jake, he's a good man." Holly told Rose, knowing she already knew that.
Jake walked in. "Are you two talking about JJ or me?"
"Who's to say we aren't talking about my loving husband?" Holly asked, not missing a beat.
"Call it a hunch." Jake gave Rose a hug and a kiss.
"I was just telling Rose how happy I am for the two of you and I am. You two deserve some happiness." Holly couldn't help but smile as she looked at her friends.
Jake grinned at his long time friend. "So do you and Scorpio."
Robert walked into Kelly's as Jake said his name. "What?"
Holly laughed. "This is a fun trick."
Rose laughed at Holly's comment. "I was thinking the same thing. You two up to having dinner with us?" She asked them both.
Robert gave Holly a kiss on the cheek. "I'm done for the day if you are."
Holly nodded. "We would love to. We can talk more about the wedding."
"It's going to be the best one since last year's ceremony." Robert put his arms around Holly.
"Of course it is with our amazing children putting it together!" Rose was excited to see JJ and Jayne's dreams come true.
