Chase came over to tell Robert what they had found. Jayne opened the door and smiled at him. "Hey, you here to see my dad?"

"Yes, are you okay?" Chase knew how much Jayne loved her family and that this must have shook her up.

"Oh yes, I'm fine." Jayne pointed over to where Robert and Holly were.

Holly was watching the two of them, she could see a spark between them. "Jayne why don't we get have some tea in the kitchen while they talk."

"Look I don't care if you two stay out here, Holly you saw everything as much as I did." Robert told them.

Holly shook her head. "And that's why I could use some tea, with our brilliant, wonderful daughter." Holly put an arm around Jayne who smiled.

"She's great." Chase smiled before taking a seat.

Kitchen

Holly and Jayne went into the kitchen. "Are you okay, mum?" Jayne asked as she sat down. Holly was already getting the tea kettle ready.

"I won't say I'm not shaken up, that was a close call but I knew your father would keep me safe, keep us all safe." Holly had no doubt in her heart that Robert would always do his best to keep them safe.

"I love how much faith you have in each other. It's nice to know I'm part of such a strong love." Jayne smiled at her mom.

"One of the biggest parts. Are you sure there's nothing between you and Chase?" Holly asked her, she didn't see the point of beating around the bush.

Jayne stumbled around her words a bit, trying to find the right ones. "Mum, it can't happen. We are just friends."

Holly nodded and smiled. "Okay, you know the stumbling on words bit you do reminds me a lot of your father."

"Really? I can see that." Jayne laughed as Holly got them two cups of tea together.

Dining Room

"So what did you find out?" Robert asked Chase.

"I really think they are doing their best to send you a message. We are still looking for the guy. We are going to find him." Chase told Robert.

"Look I can come help you guys look." Robert knew his duty as the police commissioner and really wanted to get a hold of this guy.

"No disrespect Commissioner but I know if someone tried to get my niece I wouldn't be able to think like an officer. Mind if we handle this and you stay with Holly and your family?" Chase didn't want to overstep or offend his boss.

Robert sighed, he hated this but he knew Chase was thinking more clearly right now. "You know, you're right. Just keep me updated please."

Chase nodded. "Do you care if I say goodbye to Jayne and Holly?" He asked.

Robert shook his head no.

Chase walked into the kitchen. "Hey I'm about to head out, wanted to say goodbye to you both."

Jayne smiled over at him. "Goodbye Chase, I'll see you later."

Holly couldn't help but grin again. "Good to see you again. Stay safe."

After Chase left Robert came into the kitchen to join them.

"Oh I thought you were going with him." Holly was surprised to see Robert.

"Without saying goodbye? Not a chance, but no, I'm staying put." Robert went over to get himself some tea.

"I am glad you are here. I always feel safer with you around." Holly told Robert as she reached out and took his hand once he was done.

Jayne thought they could use a moment. "I have a few things to take care of. See you both in a little bit."

"Alright darling." Holly told her daughter as she left. "I think she could tell we needed some time. Are you okay?" Holly asked Robert.
