Hadley's POV

Klaus had been avoiding me ever since I dropped the bomb on him that I have fallen for him, I knew that he wasn't the type to think he was capable of love but I never thought he would avoid me like some immature child but right now I had more important things to worry about then Klaus since Hayley had marched in here saying that Jackson and Oliver were missing, that they had been on some mission for Klaus to retrieve some kind of stones needed for the moonlight rings and since Klaus has been MIA we went to Elijah who decided best to ring Klaus anyway.

"It appears our wolves have gone astray, brother"

"They should have been back hours ago" Hayley adds and I frown crossing my arms trying to avoid worrying myself since I couldn't lose Jackson, not when I'd just found him and sure it wasn't an exactly warm fuzzy family reunion but he was still my brother and after the disastrous turn out of my relationship with Tyler I really didn't want to lose another brother.

"We need to find them" Elijah insisted with a nod talking to Klaus.

"Well that might be a bit tricky, you see we've located their car on a back road in the middle of nowhere, I suspect they've been shanghaied"

"And you didn't feel the need to share this information?" Elijah asked him.

"It was my intention to present you with a problem only after I had found an appropriate solution"

"Do enlighten us"

"I'm closing in on it as we speak, the only person who would be bold enough to snatch my wolf allies is the one who has the most to lose"

"Marcel" Elijah sighs and I glare since Marcel was really starting to piss me off.

"No, he'll kill them!" Hayley exclaimed.

"Genevieve assures me that Marcel has procured a cloaking spell, the only witch who will aid Marcel is Davina, I just need to get one last bit of leverage before I pay her a visit...and there it is" Klaus replies before he hangs up.

"He's speaking with his murder voice" I whispered to myself but of course they both heard and I saw them turn to me with looks but I ignored them and walked out.

Elijah had left to obviously try and help Klaus and quite possibly rein him in if that was even possible which left Hayley and I to wander the compound alone and wait for them to return with Jackson and Oliver but unfortunately that was too much of a good thing as Genevieve turned up to 'keep us company' whatever that meant which meant that I was stuck with the very witch I hated/loathed and the werewolf that I had a complicated alliance with, we were almost friends again but right now Hayley and I were both focused on the fact that it had been over an hour since we'd heard from either of the Mikaelson men which was concerning enough.

"Elijah should've called by now" Hayley stated as we paced anxious for any word.

"Worrying isn't going to help" Genevieve spoke up walking into the room we were in and I glared at her before turning so that she didn't see it but Hayley did when we met eyes, each of us with a worried look concerned about the state Jackson and Oliver were in since Marcel was more than likely torturing them for information on Klaus's plan. "You should sit down, try to keep calm" she added undeterred with the fact that neither Hayley or I were paying her any attention.

"What are you now, magician/zen-life coach?" I spat at her this time not holding back my distaste by her mere presence.

"The treatment of pregnant women had advanced remarkably since I was a nurse but even I know high blood pressure is bad for you and your baby" she argued making me roll my eyes since I didn't need her to tell me that. "Especially now that your so close to term" I sighed taking a seat on the couch since while I hated that she was the one to remind me of that, I was close and could already feel my aching feet from pacing.

"I hate this" Hayley insisted sitting down next to me.

"You and me both Hayls, I feel completely useless"

"Don't you get it, you're the point of all this" Genevieve spoke up again. "Klaus and Elijah running all over town, it's all for you" she was looking directly at me and I swear I could even taste the bitterness in her voice hidden beneath her usual tone. "I'm a bit envious" I raised an eye when she actually admitted it.

"Great, lucky me" I scoffed since honestly what did she had to be envious over, to profess love for a guy to have them walk out unaccepting of that love and the other one only cares about the baby inside me.

"Is there anything I can get you?" Genevieve asked and I looked up at her.

"How about a moonlight ring?" I asked since the idea of them drew me in, don't get me wrong I loved being a werewolf most of the times but turning every full moon and going through the pain of turning was the only downfall especially now that I had a baby on the way and didn't know who I had to actually trust with her during full moons.

"The spell can't be performed until the full moon reached it's apex and of course I need the stones, which will be here soon enough" I scoffed since she was optimistic. "Have a little faith" she added hearing it while I shared another look with Hayley before we stood and left the room since I'd had just about as much of Genevieve as I could handle for the time being.

"Call Elijah, we need to know what's going on" I told Hayley since I was sick of the silence and she nodded pulling out her phone and calling him.

"What's going on?" she asked him as soon as he answered and put the phone on loudspeaker so I didn't have to strain my hearing to hear his side.

"Jackson is fine, he's a little tied up right now" Elijah said and I let out a breath of relief for the fact that Jackson was okay but didn't like how he mentioned that he was tied up. "Could we call you back?" he asked and I frowned narrowing my eyes especially when I heard Klaus laughing in the background, what the hell was happening on their end.

"Are you trying to kill us!" Jackson yelled out along with an alarming whirring noise.

"Elijah, tell us what's going on now" Hayley quickly said but we didn't get a response in a way of words since what answered her question was the sound of an explosion.

"No" I spat out worried for both Jackson and Klaus but about twenty minutes later of anxious pacing and worrying we heard a door close and in walked Jackson with Elijah behind him.

"Thank god, your alive!" Hayley exclaimed and rushed to hug Jackson while I let out a small relieved breath moving over to hug Jackson as well since while we might not be close, he was my half-brother.

"I'm fine too, thanks for asking" Klaus stated walking into the room and I turned to him seeing him meet my eyes for a second before he turned away and I frowned since I was relieved to see him as well but he was clearly still wanting to avoid me.

"What about the stones?" Hayley asked them leading Jackson to sit down given he didn't look all that great.

"Scattered across the bed of the Mississippi, I imagine" Elijah replied and I sighed since that was just perfect, now what are we supposed to do.

"Marcel is no fool, he knows an empowered werewolf army would mean the end of vampires in New Orleans, the explosion is his way of saying he means to prevent that" Klaus added pouring himself a drink from the bar and I sadly wish I could join him. "For all the good it'll do him" he smirked sipping at his drink.

"Well it did him pretty damn well, didn't it" Hayley remarked tending to Jackson's wounds.

"This is my fault, I will find a way to fix it" Jackson quickly spoke up.

"No Jack, you're hurt and no one is blaming you" I protested seeing Jackson look up at me.

"I'm blaming you" Klaus argued so I glared back at him. "Those stones will be hard to replace, fortunately I always have a backup plan" he smirked as we all looked at him to elaborate his said 'backup' plan but he only left with a smile to 'make a call' and when his so called back-up plan arrived I was less than impressed seeing Francesca walking into the courtyard with a heavy security detail.

"You can't seriously mean her, she's a gangster" I protested following behind Klaus as we walked to the stairs leading down into the courtyard.

"I see her more as a means to procuring rare items at short notice" Klaus argued making me frown as I followed him down the stairs. "Greetings, Ms Correa I see you've brought company"

"These are my brothers" she replied and I raised an eye not knowing she had so many brothers which was concerning. "I was include them in delicate business matters, fellas meet Mr Mikaelson" I rolled my eyes at the high formalities.

"Please, call me Klaus" Klaus argued, "All my friends do" I scoffed since did Klaus even have friends.

"I don't know if I'd call us friends" Francesca protested. "But if you and Marcel are planning on having a little throwdown, I'd prefer my family to be on the same side as the inevitable victor" she added receiving something from the metal case in which one of her brothers was carrying and turned back to face Klaus.

"Then you have what I asked for?" he asked her.

"Not enough for an army at such short notice" she replied handing over a small velvet bag. "But it's a start"

"Strange, I wasn't aware that she was familiar with our plan" Elijah spoke up speaking the question that I'm sure was on both Hayley, his and I's mind, how many people has Klaus filled in on the plan to create moonlight rings.

"My price for doing business is full disclosure, your brother complied" Francesca replied while Klaus held up one of the stones we needed for the rings inspecting it with a smile.

"How does the human faction expect to benefit from all this?" Elijah asked her.

"I only want to solidify our allegiance to the ruling class, it's good for business" Francesca replied but I honestly didn't believe a word she was saying.

"If only everyone shared you capacity for reason" Klaus smiled at her.

"Sadly they don't, Marcel is being especially vindictive I'm worried he might come after me or my family just for meeting with you, it might be in our best interests if we combine our efforts"

"So be it" Klaus agreed with her but I couldn't help feeling like this was a mistake by trusting her especially given she was still Hayley and I's main suspect for the bayou bombings. "The more bodies we have to defend the compound the better" he added looking at Elijah like that would convince us. "Lets get started, shall we?"

I let out a sigh as I leave them to their so called business while I head upstairs to find Hayley and Jackson and fill them in on the new turn finding them in the study where Hayley looks lie she is just about finishing patching Jackson up.

"There" she states securing the last bandage letting Jackson stand and to put his shirt back on.

"Thank you" he smiles at her which I have mixed feelings about the two of them, yes I know they were betrothed back when Hayley was barely an infant but I knew Hayley had feelings for Elijah and didn't want to see Jackson get hurt...god already I was being overprotective of my brother...guess I'll have that instinct even if I no longer have to protect Tyler given what he did and the fall out between us.

"Don't thank me, it was Elijah who vamped your ass to safety" Hayley argued.

"Yeah, well he really seems to care about you" Jackson replied making me frown given that even he's clearly seen the way they feel.

"It's...complicated"

"I think that's the understatement of the year" Jackson states and Hayley smiles at him just as I walk fully into the room. "Look, we gotta go get back to the bayou before the moon rises" he says looking at me and I frown out the window knowing they had to leave, Hayley was no longer linked with me meaning she'd been turning with them on the full moons.

"This will be the last time, after tonight you guys will never have to turn again, no more pain, no more hiding in the bayou" I told them as I approached. "I promise" I smiled at Jackson since this meant we could actually have normal lives but still be ourselves in the process since even after these rings I knew I was still gonna turn every now and then because it was freeing and I loved being in my wolf form most times out of 10.

"You know, Klaus isn't doing this out of the kindness of his heart" Jackson states looking at me. "He's doing it for you Hadley, you're the one who's going to change everything for us" I frown as I don't know what to say to that then watch as they start to leave but Elijah walks in stopping them. "Seems I owe you yet again" he says to Elijah who nods in acknowledgement of his thanks then looks towards Hayley clearly indicating they want to talk so I walk out with Jackson. "You know you called me Jack, back there?" Jackson suddenly spoke up as I was walking him towards the gates of the compound.

"Yeah don't get used to it" I smirked bumping into his shoulder as we laughed a little. "I guess I'm working myself around to coming to terms that you and I are actually siblings"

"Well we both have time" he smiled at me before Hayley came up and the two of them left to head out to the bayou for the full moon.

After watching Jackson and Hayley disappear in the crowd of New Orleans streets I headed back into the compound to go in search of this spell feeling like I had to be there to make sure that it all went smoothly so that I could get the rings to the bayou as soon as they were ready but just as I headed up the stairs I ran into Klaus.

"Sorry" I apologized moving out of his way but he caught my hand.

"Hadley" I turned to face him, eyes a little narrowed wondering why he was talking to me now when he's been ignoring me.

"What?" I pressed when he remained silent and was just staring into my eyes and my voice seemed to break him out of a trance as he shook his head then walked off leaving me confused since clearly he had wanted to say something but chose not to which just left me with more questions and in confusion, why must he be so bloody frustrating.

I rolled my eyes at his antics then followed him seeing as he headed into the room I could hear Genevieve chanting and saw her in the midst of the spell with the stones on the table with a number of other witchy ingredients surrounding them with her hands hovering over the stones as I walked in crossing my arms since I hated being around witchcraft, it always left me feeling chills especially given I had no idea what was being said as it wasn't exactly Latin.

"Tua virtuse, materi lunare tua virtuse, materi lunare tua virtuse" Genevieve was casting moving her hands slowly over the stones.

"My people say Marcel is on the move and he's bringing friends" Francesca announces rushing into the room.

"Get Hadley to safety" Klaus instructs Elijah before he rushes away and Elijah immediately walks over towards me and grabs my arm.

"Come with me" he tries pulling me to follow hm.

"No, some needs to watch her" I argued gesturing to Genevieve since I didn't really trust her so I wasn't leaving until these rings were done.

"You should help Klaus" Francesca interrupts looking at Elijah. "My brothers and their security detail won't be much against a vampire army, I'll stay with Hadley" I frown at her for a second before I nodded and turned to Elijah.

"Go Elijah, help Klaus" I told him since Klaus needed his help more than I did. "And don't hold back" I told him since I was sick of this damn war seeing Elijah reluctantly agree to this plan before he leaves.

Genevieve continues to repeat the spell well after the sounds of fighting from the courtyard could be heard and I pace around anxious and on edge listening to that, worrying about everyone I care about involved and the moon outside knowing that Hayley and Jackson are out there in the bayou when suddenly one Francesca's security guards makes his way into the room.

"Ms Correa, we need to go, your brothers are already headed out the back " he insists but she holds up a hand.

"Not yet" she protests.

"Materi lunare tua virtuse, materi lunare tua virtuse" I focused my attention on Genevieve but feel my phone buzzes and I look down seeing it's Cami with a frown and ignore it so she can keep watching Genevieve. "Materi lunare tua virtuse, materi lunare tua virtuse" she stops chanting and picks up a stone to examine it. "The stones are finished, I've done my part now it's up to you" I smiled and went to grab them.

"I'll get them to the bayou"

"Actually, she was talking to me" Francesca speaks up walking forwards and Genevieve places the stone in her open hand.

"What the hell is this?" I demand glaring at them.

"Call it a side deal, the point is I'm taking the stones" Francesca replies then starts to walk out.

"Are you out of your mind, you think the humans can go up against Klaus?" I asked following her.

"No, I don't but I'm not human" she argues then flips out a switchblade and uses it to slit the throat of her bodyguard and when the bodyguard dies, she doubles over in pain before she looks back up with gold eyes and fangs and my eyes widen in realization that she had just triggered the werewolf curse. "I'm like you Hadley and now I'm gonna take back my town!" my eyes narrow back into a glare.

"Like hell you are!" I yell and move towards her but suddenly feel a pressure and reach for my bump before everything goes black.

Third Person's POV

Klaus reeling in pain from his fight with Marcel and whatever unknown issue was causing him pain wanders into Rousseau's and stumbles into a custodian mopping the floor and marches towards him.

"I'm sorry mate but I'm a bit famished" he states before tackling the man and bites into his neck feeding on him before he holds out his hand seeing that it is still bleeding as Genevieve comes in and laughs at the sight.

"You look awful" she spoke towards him.

"Why aren't I healing, what have you done to me?" Klaus demands glaring up at Genevieve.

"Well, you're the one who wanted me to cast the spell, so I made your stones...by linking their power to your blood and now each full moon, whenever a werewolf uses their power to keep from turning they'll be drawing from your strength and causing you pain"

"After all I offered you, you will betray me?" Klaus asks glaring at her groaning in pain as she kneels in front of him and grabs his face.

"Look me in the eyes Nik, were you ever planning to give me your mother's grimoire, did you care about me even for a moment?" she asked him.

"I suppose you'll never know" Klaus spat.

"Francesca kept her end of the deal, there is after all honor among thieves even if they are werewolves and as for you, the great irony is in wanting to take the city you lost everything" Klaus pulls himself to his feet. "Your sister Rebekah, your adopted son Marcel and now even your child and her mother will suffer, all because of your greed" Klaus looks up at the mention of Hadley before he growled out and lunges at her but collapses at her feet reeling in pain yet again.

"I will kill you!"

"As weak as you are?" she asks laughing at the sight of him. "Doubtful" she states before throwing out a hand and uses a pain infliction spell on him until he passes out.

Hadley's POV

I had woken up feeling myself being dragged into the church and immediately tried to fight but the pain in my stomach was preventing me from breaking their hold on my arms and I knew I was in trouble since the pains kept coming...contractions and I was helpless in this state begging them to let me go but my eyes widened when I saw they were leading me to Genevieve, she was behind this...she betrayed us just like I knew she would, I knew we couldn't trust her.

"Get her down on the floor" Genevieve instructed the guys carrying me towards the alter.

"We should take her to the city of the dead" the little bitch Monique argued.

"We won't make it, the baby is coming now" they laid me down on the steps.

"No, it's too soon" I protested before yelling out as another contraction hit and it felt like my insides were being ripped apart.

"Apparently not" Genevieve argued with me.

"The plan was to induce her when the sacrifice was ready" Monique spoke grabbing Genevieve's hand and I glared at them since what the hell were they talking about, what plan?

"I had to subdue her and the trauma caused a placental abruption, so the baby is coming and we'll just have to adapt" Genevieve argues while I continued to scream and fight against the hold these bastards had on my arms keeping me down.

"LET ME GO!"

"You need to be calm, Hadley" Genevieve tells me as she kneels beside me.

"Why are you doing this to me?" I asked not caring now scared I sounded, I couldn't have this baby now.

"To be reborn, you must sacrifice" Monique said reaching towards me but I push her hand away,

"What does that mean, you psychotic little bitch?!" I yelled at her.

"The ancestors demand an offering in exchange for power" Genevieve explained.

"You and your child will be a fine offering" Monique smirked sadistically.

"No, no you will not take my baby, I will kill all of you!" I screamed shaking my head.

"No, you won't and neither will Klaus or Elijah!" Monique argued. "When your baby is born, you will offer her up to those who came before us" I glared at her as I cried and shook my head no as I continues to struggle against the witches' hold.

"I'm sorry Hadley but this is the way it had to be"

"No, no!" I protested before screaming out hoping someone would hear and come, I didn't care about being strong right now because I wasn't and for once I begged that someone would help me.

Third Person's POV

Outside, Klaus weakly stumbles down the street as he hears Hadley's horrified screams knowing that it is Genevieve and hearing the pain in her cries he allows himself to be overcome with utter rage before he screams at the top of his lungs.
