Robert and Holly soon found themselves fast asleep in bed, the two had exhausted each other. But what a way to do it. They had always loved this.
Robert started to stir and saw Holly's still resting comfortably on his arm, a smile on her face. He would be lying if he said he wasn't proud that he had put it on her.
Holly opened her eyes and saw that grin on his face. "Hello, handsome."
Robert gave her a kiss. "Sleep well?" He asked her.
"Always, especially after a sauna with you." She grinned and gave him another kiss.
"You know I really do love this life we have, it's different from our old one but still very special." Robert told her he had always wanted to have a life similar to the one they had in the eighties, but this one was even better. "I know what you mean, I wouldn't trade any of this for the world. I wouldn't trade any of our times together. Besides our goodbyes but our family always comes first, I loved that you wanted to protect Ethan just as much as I did." Holly was touched at how much he loved
Ethan, even when he thought he was Luke's.
"Ethan has been my son for ages. Always will be. He was part of you, you loved Robin as if she was your own too." Robert had always
thought of Ethan as his own. He actually was devastated to think that Holly had a child with Luke and not him, she was the love of his life
not a five second relationship.
"That's what I love about you. Now we know the truth and have Jayne too and it's only going to get better." Holly laid her head on Robert's chest.
"Yes, I'm going to have a fine son-in-law that loves my daughter like no other, just like Patrick with Robin. We are very lucky. Do you think they'll have kids?" Robert couldn't help but ask.
"You really do love being a grandpa, don't you? Jayne wants to sort things out before she even thinks about that so I don't know." Holly replied.
"Sounds a lot like someone else I know, she's very focuses and careful despite her upbringing." Robert rubbed Holly's back.
"I think she gets a lot of that from you and I love that." Holly smiled. "You think we can stay like this all day?" She asked Robert.
"I don't see why not." Robert held her a little tighter as they heard a knock on the door.
