Alice had to admit, it was a little disconcerting to be back in the fancy studio, where it had all began to fall apart for Violent Hemorrhage. Or maybe it was poetic, fuck if she knew.
"Uhhh, Alice?"
She looked up from packing her guitar away, Motoko and her crew had huddled up in the recording booth. Jared was standing behind her, shifting a little on his feet. A glance behind him showed that his kit was all packed and ready to go as well.
"Yeah?"
Jared's eyes flicked over to the group of people in the booth, the short one who was pumping the shotgun in the song was quite literally bouncing around Motoko, while the main girl was slouched and a little awkward.
"Is uh," he started slowly, "was Motoko being serious about the merc stuff, and the killing stuff?"
Alice chewed on that for a moment. Motoko was…strange, to put it mildly. She was more innocent than even Alice had been about her uncle's work, at least until she reached 14. But yet…..someone that innocent shouldn't be that comfy holding a fuck off shotgun like that. And it was in her car? Casually?
"Her brother works for my uncle. Like, directly under"
Jared let out a sharp hiss as he inhaled through his teeth.
"I don't know everything about her, but her brother used to be concerned for her, and now he's not." Alice looked back over to the booth, where Motoko was shaking the short one around, who was still holding that fuck off shotgun herself.
"I've heard some rumors that Motoko did some work for some high up people in the Claws recently. An internal kill."
Motoko had lifted the short one over her head entirely, the short one was scrambling around in the air, still holding the shotgun, fruitlessly fighting to get down.
"I've been around some dangerous people before, and sometimes, only sometimes, Motoko feels the same way"
The pair watched as Motoko threw the short woman across the room onto a couch, where she bounced to her feet instantly and ran back up to Motoko, chattering with a smile on her face. Alice could read her lips, "Do it again! Do it again!"
"Fuck"
