"Here you go Sir!" Kit passes some papers to a man, who passes some papers back to him and then Kit goes to deliver those.
Another day in the life of Kit doing his job. Almost lunch time, he's happy. Doing his job going back and fourth from person to person. Simple routine work.
Until Eggman attacks. It's sudden, a lot of explosions. Kit can barley remember any of it by the time his mind comes back into focus, he's with the wolf, Whisper. Along with Tangle. He looks up to see Eggman and all his bots attacking. This is the opposite of what he wanted to do today.
"Ma'am what's going on?" Kit asks
Stay here.* Whisper says before going up and fighting the robot, Tangle goes with her to defeat Eggman. Kit has no idea what's going on. He looks around. Seeing nobody he reconizes. He sees the restoration on fire. He immediately reaches and turns on his water pack. Attempting to stop the blaze.
He gets inside to find a lot of people on the inside, fearing or trying to save their lives. He attempts to clear out the fire and get people out. He manages to get all the employees out, then goes up to upper management. Where he finds Jewel. On the ground, with no movement. He gets to her as fast as he can. Picking her up and getting her outside as fast as possible (windows are advanced doors anyways right?) laying her on the ground and resuscitating her.
She wakes up, coughing up a storm. Lanolin takes her and thanks Kit. He isn't done yet, helping more civilians get out. Then going back into the battlefield. Eventually all the citizens are cleared out. Then Kit goes to help kick Eggman's butt. Whisper gives him a look but say nothing. Using his water to fry Eggman's batteries and electric componates. He doesn't know where Surge is, but she's not around here, she's probably safe, right?
Surge has a rude awakening due to Eggman and immediately went to find Amy. Getting her to the hospital and refusing to leave her side. Making sure Blaze knew. Communication from another dimension is pretty easy actually. Surge makes sure Amy is okay, she was injured yet still away from the main place of destruction. Amy though wakes up.
"Surge?"
"Amy?"
"You can go, others need help"
"…Are you sure?"
"Absolutely"
So Surge runs back to kick Eggman's butt and make him feel it because of what he did to Amy.
Kit keeps going and attacking and attacking and attacking. But nothing seems to Budge. Until someone else comes up.
"Heya!"
"Sonic!" Tangle cheers
"Let's kick Baldy McNosehair in his hairy butt!" Sonic says
"That continues to never be funny!" Eggman's himself says before going back to destroying everything
Surge continues to rush and Kit continues to fight with the others. Eventually making it to outside the battle zone and encountering Jewel.
"Is drippy okay?"
"Yeah, he actually saved me! I'll have to thank him for that, he's in the battle fighting." Jewel relays.
"Thanks Minty!" Surge gives Jewel a wink and Jewel feels her face heating up a bit. Lanolin rolls her eyes.
"Drippy!" Surge calls, Kit notices her and motions for her to come up and attack which she gladly does. But soon enough encounters Sonic.
"Pleasant to see you here" Sonic says, as smug as ever.
"I'm doing this for Amy, not for you" Surge says. Still feeling the compulsion to kill him even know.
"Trust me I know that, thanks for the accidental help though!"
Surge huffs then goes back to battling. Using her Electricity and Kit's Hydrokinesis to fry more and more of Eggman circuitry. Of course when Eggman looks defeated he has one last trick up his sleeve.
"Check this out!" Eggman takes out a day and blasts Sonic with it, in a flash Tangle and Whisper disappear? Leaving Sonic on the ground from pain and Kit and Surge confused.
"What? How did that not work?"
"What. Was. That." Sonic manages to spit out while still on the ground.
"That eliminated anyone who had a positive emotion to you and trapped them! Why are there still people here?" Eggman says frustrated, about Surge and Kit. Surge smiles a angry yet happy and goes up to the remaining parts of the robot that Eggman made and that's she's about to demolish.
"Oh you don't get it, do you?" Surge says "Drippy?" She calls, Kit is right behind her, with a wide smirk on his face.
The two charge up an attack and release, breaking Eggman's robot. In a massive explosion. Sonic looks on, amazed. Then, Out of the explosion, comes Kit and Surge. Landing Safely on the ground.
"Wow great job you t-" Sonic starts to say and Surge slaps him
"Ow, what was that for?"
"Amy, Egg-Head is already gone so you were the best bet" Surge then walks away, Kit follows her and Waves politely to Sonic, then Sonic stands there confused. In the background Tangle and Whisper reunite and Kiss from being trapped of course being separated would be too much for them to handle.
"Wow, they seem like really good friends" Sonic says, Surge comes back and slaps him again. He deserves it that time.
Surge goes back to Amy to tell her the good news, which Amy is happy about and congratulationes her and Kit. Jewel thanks Kit for rescuing her, while flirting with Surge. People immediately start rebuilding the restoration building. But until then they go to a second headquarters farther away from Eggman just incase he ever wants to attack again and they ramp up security, by a lot. To make sure than this much damage doesn't happen again, they also establish a fire fighter unit, which they use water packs based off of Kit's to destroy fires and many other fire units follow in their and Kit's example.
With the restoration destroyed and having to be rebuilt, Surge and Kit decide to stay at Amy's house. But they eventually get their own home, for Kit's sake. He doesn't want to be around a couple (that isn't his own), so Kit and Surge eventually get their own place funded by their jobs and donations from others (mainly Blaze). The siblings live there now and do work again once the restoration opens back up. Back to their normal jobs and lives, till Eggman decides to attack again and interrupt that, again. But that's their life and they wouldn't have it any other way.
