The plane came out of the flash, and they immediately saw daylight the copilot was confused by this, but Lapidus knew that he had to be back on the island because that's the only place it ever did this to him. The plane stalled and Lapidus said that they had lost power. The copilot tried to restart the engines, but the plane continued to fall until they were below the clouds and Lapidus saw the mountains of the island. Lapidus exclaimed "Oh hell" fully knowing that he was back on the island. The copilot read the altimeter. Lapidus then realised that they were about to crash into the mountain and said oh my god. He then asked for more power because he can pull them out of this. The copilot said that Lapidus was going to rip them apart, but Lapidus told his copilot to do it. Lapidus navigated them around the mountain and the copilot saw a runway and asked if it was. Lapidus saw the instruments had failed and told his copilot that they were putting the plane down. The copilot tried to call a mayday, and they put the plane down on the runway and Lapidus told the copilot to reverse the thrusters. The plane sped down the runway slowly slowing and Lapidus said that they were running out of runway and told his copilot to brace for impact. Lapidus awoke and saw that his arm was all bloody and that his copilot and a branch impaled in him. Lapidus left and Caesar checked on Illana. Illana said Jarrah and Caesar said that his name was Caesar and that they had an accident but that they were okay.
Illana turned back and said "Hey, are you guys okay".
They all grumbled "Yeah".
Illana asked, "Where's Jarrah, Austen, and Reyes".
Illana man said, "I don't know".
Illana said "At least Kwon's still here".
Carole said "Aaron. Aaron. Wake up Aaron".
Aaron grumbled "Grandma".
Carole said, "You're okay sweetie, you're okay".
Aaron asked "Grandma. What happened".
Carole answered "I don't know. But we'll find out".
Sun called out "Frank".
Lapidus came over and asked, "Sun. Is that you".
Sun answered, "It's me".
Illana's man asked, "You the pilot".
Lapidus answered "Yes, I am. Who are you".
Illana said, "We need to get off this plane now".
Lapidus said "And we will, but you all need to follow me".
Illana said "We have three missing prisoners. All of them must have fled".
Lapidus asked "Missing prisoners. Who".
Sun answered "Kate, Sayid, and Hurley".
Illana asked, "You know them".
Lapidus answered "They're the Oceanic six. Of course, I know them".
Ben said "Hello Frank. Did you miss me".
Lapidus exclaimed "You're here to".
Ben said "Of course. I was going to Guam". Lapidus knew that Ben was coming back to the island and although he didn't know why, he knew that he was behind this".
Outside the plane on the beach Illana's man uncuffed Sun and told her "Don't go anywhere".
Lapidus wanted everybody's attention and told them that the radio was dead, so he hasn't been able to call in their situation. He then told everyone that it was all right because once they find out they aren't where they're supposed to be, they'll search for them. Lapidus said that the best thing for them was to stick together and hunker down until help arrives. Caesar asked where they were and Lapidus said that the island's not on his charts. Caesar questioned this because of the buildings and animal cages. He then said that down the beach you can see a bigger island and said that Lapidus should get new charts. Lapidus said that right now he's trying to keep everyone safe.
Ben told Carole and Aaron "Follow me". Ben then walked off into the jungle and Carole and Aaron were shocked by this before Carole picked Aaron up and began to follow Ben. Sun noticed this and began to follow them as well, and Lapidus said that they should gather firewood, but Caesar said that if Lapidus wants to wait then they'll let him, but he suggests they search the buildings and they might have a radio or food. Caesar asked who wanted to help him as Lapidus noticed Sun leaving and followed her.
Ben walked and Carole asked "Mr Linus, where are we going. I'll tell you in a minute".
Sun come over and asked "Where are you going Ben. Where are you taking them".
Ben said "Good. Our final member. Come on, let's get back to the main island. It's where we all want to be".
Carole asked "What. Why would we go to the main island".
Ben said "You know Carole how I said I'd get you a settlement, well, I'm going to provide something much better. How'd you like to have your daughter back".
Carole asked "What".
Ben said "Your daughter. How'd you like to see her again".
Carole asked "What do you mean. My daughter's dead".
Ben said "No she isn't. Sun, tell her".
Sun said "I wouldn't listen to him. He's a liar".
Ben said "And I can get you to your husband Sun. I'm sure you'd like to see him again".
Sun grabbed Ben and said "My husband's dead. And so's Claire. They can't come back. Stop lying to us".
Ben said "I'm not lying. Here's proof". Ben took out Jin's wedding ring.
Sun grabbed it and asked, "How do you have this".
Ben answered, "John gave it to me. Jin gave it to him before he left the island".
Sun asked, "Why didn't Locke tell me himself".
Ben answered "I don't know. Maybe he never had a chance before he died". He then said "I'm sorry I didn't tell any of you this before we came here but you'd never have come otherwise. You wouldn't believe me and you wouldn't trust me".
Sun said "You're right. I wouldn't of".
Ben said "So, now you know everything. Are you going to come along and help me row". Ben took off his arm sling and led them to the outriggers and as he took off his splint, Ben said "Come on, there are three outriggers near here and I need help rowing".
Aaron asked Carole "Are we really going to see mummy".
Carole answered, "I sure hope so baby".
Ben said "Don't worry my people on the island have vast knowledge. Not a single thing happens on it without them knowing. We'll go to them and find Jin and Claire in no time".
Carole asks "Your people. You've been on this island before, and how did we crash on the same island as the Oceanic six. How did you plane that".
Ben answered "Luck. We were gonna make a stop in Guam and head right here, but I guess the universe decided to help us out. And yes, I've been here before. This is my island, and I want to help you".
Carole was confused by this and Lapidus called after Sun. Sun told Lapidus that they were over here. Lapidus walked over and asked, "Are you all, all right".
Sun answered "Yes, we're fine".
Lapidus said "I got worried when I couldn't find you. And I saw him leaving, with them. What are you doing out here".
Aaron answered, "Going to find mummy".
Lapidus was confused by this and Sun said "Ben know where there's a boat. We're going back to the main island with him". Lapidus asked Sun if she could really trust him and Sun answered "I have to trust him. It's the only way I'll find my husband and they'll find Claire".
Ben led them all to the outriggers and Ben asked Sun, Carole, and Aaron "You ready".
Sun answered "Yes".
Aaron answered "Yes, I wanna see mummy".
Carole said "Let's go. No time to waste".
Lapidus said "I want you all to think about this, okay. This guy is dangerous". He then told Sun that the boat he came here on was filled with commandos whose only mission was to get him. Ben asked how it worked out for everyone.
Carole asked Lapidus "You were here to".
Lapidus answered "At the end. Who are you".
Carole answered "Carole. My daughter was on Oceanic 815".
Lapidus asked "What was your daughter's name".
Carole answered "Claire. Claire Littleton".
Lapidus said "I recognise the name but never met her".
Sun said, "She was on the opposite side of the island when Frank came".
Carole asked, "Is that why you left her, like you left your husband".
Sun said "We thought they were dead; we didn't leave them. I wished every day for my husband to come home and meet his daughter who he never met".
Carole retorted "And because of you I never met my grandson. Because of you he didn't know about his mother, his real full name, his birthday, or where he was from. So don't you act all victimised to me. I had nothing, you at least had your daughter".
Ben remarked "She's got a point there".
Sun didn't respond and Lapidus asked Sun to not go with Ben. Sun asked why he didn't come with them. Lapidus says that he has to look after the people from the plane and Bern agreed with this because his first responsibility was to his passengers. He then said that he had people that he had to take care of as well and said that there was a small dock about half a mile due South across the water and that it leads directly to a town where he used to live and there are resources there. So, if he or the rest of his people wanted to get out of here safely. Sun interrupted "Are we going or not".
Ben said "Yes, we are. So, are you in or out Frank".
Lapidus said "Since I don't trust him with you, I'm coming".
Ben, Lapidus, Sun, Carole, and Aaron got into the outrigger and rowed to the main island. They made it to the Barracks dock and got out. Lapidus asked "So, where are we going again".
Ben said "My people. We need to go to them, it's not far and once there they'll tell us where the people, we are looking for are".
They walk down the dock and hear rustling in the trees. Aaron grabs hold of Carole and Lapidus exclaims "Woah". They then see the trees moving and Lapidus asked "Tell me you all saw that".
Aaron said "Grandma. I'm scared".
Carole picked him up and said "It's okay. Nothing to be scared of".
Sun said, "Probably just an animal".
Lapidus remarked "Animal. Great".
They walked through the Barracks and Carole asked "This was your deserted island. Doesn't seem deserted to me, well, this place looks deserted but that this place is not what I imagined".
Ben remarked "I'd get used to that Ms Littleton. Nothing here is as you'd seem".
They all saw a light turn on and a door opening. The Monster then exited the room and Lapidus asked "Who the Hell are you".
The monster said, "I'm here to help".
Ben asked, "What do you want help with".
The monster said "Easy Ben. Jacob sent me. I'm here to help you find his mother, your husband, and help you with your task, Ben".
Carole asked, "Do you know where my daughter is".
The monster answered "Yes, and I'll take you and your grandson to her. But first come inside. You all need to see something".
They all followed the monster inside. Sun asked what this place is, and the monster finds the picture of the Dharma initiative recruits in 1977. The monster said "Your husband is right here. With your friends". Sun asked what he was talking about, and the monster d\showed them all the picture.
Ben said "But that's the Dharma initiative. They were part of the Dharma Initiative".
Sun asked, "You didn't know".
Ben answered, "No. I didn't".
Carole asked, "What's this all about. Why's Ms Austen in a picture that's pretending to be thirty years ago".
The monster said "Because she's not. She's actually there".
Carole asked "In 1977. That's crazy".
The monster said, "What's crazy is you coming to the island, for night turning into day in an instant, and that flash of light which brought you here".
Carole said, "It had to been lightning, and I was knocked out".
Lapidus said "Trust me, we weren't. If we were knocked out, then we'd all be dead because of the crash".
Carole responded "No. I'm not accepting time travel because it's crazy. And you're all crazy to if you believe it".
Carole began to leave, and the monster said "I'd be careful out there. Without me you'll never find your daughter and your grandson will never meet his real mother, and worst of all, you'll be killed by the monster".
Aaron in fear asked "Monster".
The monster said "Yes, the monster made out of black smoke".
Carole told Aaron "Don't worry baby, there are no such thing as monster. You're safe. And these people are crazy. We're leaving and going back to the plane".
Ben said "Ms Littleton. Wait".
Carole said "No. I'm sick of listening to you people. Me and my grandson are stuck on this island and now we have to listen to crazy talk about my daughter, time travel, and monsters made out of black smoke".
The monster said "Carole. I know how this all seems but out there it is dangerous and if you ever want to see your daughter again. If you have any hope that she's alive then I need you to follow me. And if I don't lead you to her, then you can go back to the plane and know that this is all fake. So, just believe in your daughter and that you'll see her again for a little longer and you'll be rewarded".
Carole relented and said "Fine. But it you don't take me to her immediately. I'm taking my grandson back to the plane, and we're waiting for rescue".
The monster said, "That's a fair deal. I accept. Now, if the rest of you want what you want. You're gonna have to wait for John Locke".
Sun exclaimed "John Locke. But he's dead".
The monster smiled and said, "He'll be here shortly". He then said to Carole and Aaron "Come on. Claire's waiting to see you again".
The monster, Carole, and Aaron left, and Sun asked "He did say John Locke right. I did here that correctly".
Lapidus said "That's what I heard".
Sun asked "How. How can Locke help us if he's dead".
Ben said, "I have no idea". Lapidus, Ben, and Sun began their wait for John Locke.
The monster led Carole and Aaron out into the jungle and Carole asked, "I know I shouldn't ask this because you're crazy but how can a man that's dead come and help them".
The monster answered "Because he can. And I know that you'll never believe anything until you see your daughter again, so there's no point in talking".
Carole said, "Let's just get on with this and so I know without a doubt that my daughter is gone, and I can go back to looking after my grandson".
The monster said, "Not too far now".
The monster, Carole, and Aaron came to a clearing and they all saw smoke. The monster said "There she is. That's her campsite". Carole and Aaron prepared for whatever happened next and the monster walked over and called out "Claire. Claire. Claire. I have people that I know you want to meet".
Claire exited and asked, "Who is it". Claire walked over and Carole and Aaron came into the light. Claire exclaimed "Mum".
Carole put Aaron down and said "Claire".
Claire called out "Mum". Claire then ran to hug her mother.
They embraced and Carole said "My baby. Your alive".
Claire said "You're alive. You're awake".
Carole said "I awoke not long after your plane crashed. I've missed you so much".
Claire hugged Carole again and said "I've missed you so much mummy. I needed you. I need you so much".
Carole said "I'm here. And I'm not going anywhere. I love you so much baby". Carole giggled and said, "I'm also not alone".
Claire turned to Aaron and said softly "Aaron. Is that you".
Aaron said "Mummy".
Claire rushed to pick Aaron up in a hug and said, "Oh Aaron, I've missed you so much baby". She then kissed his forehead three time and told him "Mummy's got you and she's never letting go. I love you so much Aaron".
Aaron said, "I love you to, mummy". Aaron hugged her and Claire embraced the love that her son was giving her.
Claire then went over and asked the monster "You brought them to me".
The monster said "Of course Claire. I'm your friend after all". He then told them all "Goodbye and enjoy being reunited".
The monster left and Claire asked Carole "How did you save him from the other, mummy".
Carole answered "The police. Mr Linus told me what the Oceanic six. How Kate had Aaron and that he was my grandson".
Claire asked, "What do you mean Kate had Aaron".
Carole said "She took him. After they left you, she took him and said that she was his mother".
Claire was horrified by this and remarked "He's been off the island this whole time".
Carole said "Yes, but he's here now. I'm here now and we're a family again".
Claire was happy to hear this and turned to Aaron. She said "I'm sorry baby. I'm sorry that she took you. We should have been together and I'm so sorry we weren't. Can you forgive me".
Aaron said "Of course I do mummy. I love you". Aaron hugged Claire and Claire began to cry.
Carole asked, "This one hasn't eaten in ages, do you have food".
Claire responded "Food. Of course I have food. Anything for my Aaron". Claire then realised the dynamite was inside and said "Step back. Get back. It's too dangerous in here".
Carole asked, "What's dangerous".
Claire said "The dynamite. I need to dispose of it".
Claire carried the dynamite outside and Carole asked, "Why do you have dynamite".
Claire answered "When I thought the Others had Aaron. I needed to rescue him".
Carole accepted this and Carole asked, "Is it safe now".
Claire noticed the crib that she was using to remind herself of Aaron and got mad thinking about it, needing to have a reminder of Aaron, believing the Others had him, him being taken from her, and Kate taken him. Claire answered, "Not yet". She took the crib and place it next to the dynamite. She then grabbed her gun and said "Mum. Cover Aaron's ears".
Carole covered Aaron's ears and Claire shot the dynamite blowing it up in a massive fireball sending them all backwards. Claire got up first and rushed over to Carole and Aaron. Claire asked, "Sweetheart, are you okay".
Aaron said, "That was loud mummy".
Claire picked him up in a hug and said "I know but I had to protect you. You my baby and I will always protect you. Always".
Carole came over and said "I'm so happy to see you again, and happy to see you with him. You're a good mum. I always knew you'd be".
Claire smiled and said "Now, let's all have some dinner. I'm sure you're all hungry".
Aaron said, "Yes please".
Claire got some of the canned corn beef and before opening one and getting a bowl that she made to put some in. Claire said "only got one bowl, so we'll have to share. Eat only as much as you can Aaron".
Aaron said, "thank you mummy".
Claire said, "That's all right baby". Aaron began to eat, and Claire asked, "So Kate's been raising you".
Aaron answered, "Kate lies".
Claire responded, "I'm sorry".
Carole said "Aaron only found out a couple days ago. When Kate was arrested. It took him a while to understand but he's seen your picture and knows his mummy now".
Aaron said, "I look like you mummy".
Claire smiled and said "You sure do baby. You always did".
Aaron asked "Mummy, why are you messy".
Claire answered "Haven't had a shower in such a long time. Barely have time to bathe myself".
Carole said "Well, tomorrow you're both bathing. My little babies look like muddy grubs".
Claire accepted and said, "Okay mum".
Aaron said "I'm finished mummy. Can you read me a story".
Claire accepted and said "All right. Lie down".
Aaron lied on the mattress and Aaron asked, "Do you have Alice in Wonderland".
Claire asked, "Is that your favourite".
Aaron answered "Yeah".
Claire said, "I always liked that one to, but my favourite was always Beauty and the Beast".
Aaron said, "I like that movie".
Claire said "Sorry, but that's not part of my limited collection. But how about I tell you a story".
Aaron accepted "Okay".
Claire said "Once upon a time. There was a beautiful Princess. She was one of the kindest and most generous people in all the land. But she was very unlucky. Nothing seemed to go her way and no matter how much goodness she'd put into the world".
Aaron asked, "What's the Princesses name".
Claire answered "Claire".
Aaron said, "It's you mummy".
Claire said joyfully "No it isn't. I'm not a Princess". Claire continued "This Princess thought her luck would never change until one day she found she was going to have a baby. She knew on that day that her life would change. That she'd have her happy ending. Her and her beautiful little prince. But upon seeing her happiness, a hideous Troll named Thomas the selfish tried to manipulate her. He hated everyone but his having happiness and tried to fill her heads with doubt about being a mother. That she was incapable, unworthy, a failure, that her son would be better off without her. Princess Claire was beginning to be affected by this and started to have self-doubts about herself and her capability to raise her little Prince. But then a handsome knight rode into town. He told Thomas to stop abusing Princess Claire and that she'd be a perfect mother. Thomas knew he couldn't fight the prince and ran away. The prince introduced himself to Princess Claire as Prince Charlie told her that he'd also protect her and her son. Prince Charlie invited Princess Claire to his castle for a royal ball. At the ball they danced and at the end they kissed. They both knew that they were falling in love with each other and soon were married. They became King and Queen and Queen Claire knew that her life was perfect because she had her true love and was about to meet her little prince. The Queen gave birth to her prince and knew that she had to give her perfect little prince the perfect name. She named him Aaron and thought they'd live happily ever after. But as soon as she named him, a woman named Rousseau took Prince Aaron. King Charlie chased after her and discovered that she only took the prince to get her daughter back. So, she tried to give the prince to an evil witch. The Evil witch Kate tried to create a memory spell to make the whole world believe that she was Prince Aaron's mother. But King Charlie grabbed the little prince and used his sword to banish the witch to a place she could no longer harm anyone. King Charlie didn't know that it would work but had to try to save Prince Aaron. It was enchanted to save those who shared true love and King Charlie did love the Prince Aaron and the Prince Aaron loved King Charlie. Because despite not being biologically his, the prince was his son. And King Charlie was Prince Aaron's daddy. Rousseau apologised and now that the evil witch was gone could look for her daughter. King Charlie rode back to the kingdom and gave his Queen their baby back. Queen Claire was happiest she had ever been to have her little Prince Aaron back. She knew that King Charlie would always protect them, and she'd always protect her little prince. And they all lived happily ever after. The end".
Aaron asked, "Mummy is that real".
Claire answered "A lot. Some were combined but and King Charlie's unfortunately not a part of our happy ending but we're together and that's what he always wanted. So, Aaron, we are going to have our happy ending. All of us as a family and we're going to get off this island and have. Now, you go to bed and tomorrow we'll worry about getting off this island".
Aaron accepted and closed his eyes. Claire stroked his hair and softly sang 'Catch a falling star to him'. Aaron fell asleep before she finished and Claire whispered "Mummy loves you, Aaron. You have a beautiful sleep and tomorrow we'll begin our first day back together again. I love you and I missed you so much. We'll never be apart again, I promise. Your mummy will never leave you". Claire then gave Aaron a kiss on the side of his head and went back over to Carole.
Carole said "That was good. He needs that right now. He needs you right now".
Claire said, "I need him more".
Carole said "He's not coping. This has been really hard for him. The woman that he thought that he was supposed to rely on has been betraying him ever since she's had him".
Claire said "Where is she. Where's the bitch that took my son".
Carole answered "Apparently 1977. When we were on the plane, she and most of the other Oceanic six disappeared. They time travelled which should be insane but".
Claire said, "But you don't think that anymore".
Carole said "I have to be crazy to believe it, but how can land here, land in the daytime and all of this. It's impossible".
Claire said "Mum, what's impossible anywhere else, here is a nightmare". Carole accepted this and Claire said "Well, if she ever comes back from 1977; I'm going to kill her".
Carole said "Baby don't talk like that. I know that she hurt you, hurt you in ways that are unthinkable, hurt me, hurt Aaron, but we can't think like that. It's not who we are".
Claire asked "Then what am I supposed to do mum, she hurt my baby. His entire life is a lie and I need to protect him".
Carole said, "Come here". Carole hugged Claire and said "I know, and we will. We'll protect him and I'll protect you. You've had to be alone out here for so long and had to deal with things on your own. But your mummy is here now, and she'll protect you. She'll protect her little girl because despite you being a woman. You're still my little girl".
Claire began to cry and said "I don't know what to do mum. I'm scared and I don't know what to do".
Carole said "It's okay, it's okay, you're all right. I'm here. And We're gonna do it together. You and me. He's our family and we'll give him the best life. He has the best mum in the world and he's going to be okay".
Claire asked "How do you know I'm the best. I haven't been there. I missed his first word, first step, first time he called me mummy, he would have called Kate that. I'm a horrible mother".
Claire began to cry, and Carole consoled her "No. No, you're not. Sure, it unfortunate that we missed out on those things but we're not going to miss out on anymore. He knows that it wasn't your fault and wants you have been there as much as you do. He knows the truth and doesn't blame you. It's not your fault".
Claire said "But it is. I should have been there".
Carole said "It's not your fault. You didn't take him. She did. You are the victim. He is the victim and we're going to get through this together. All three of us. We're the Littleton's and together we will do. We will have the best life because that is the best revenge, having happiness while they have nothing".
Claire said, "You're not asking me to forgive them".
Carole said "Fuck that. We're going to get our revenge for what they did to us, but we're going to do it our way".
Claire hugged Carole and said, "I love you mum".
Carole gave Claire a kiss on the forehead and said, "You do need a bath don't you". Claire giggled and Carole said "Now, it's time for my little girl to go to bed".
Claire said, "Night mum".
Carole responded, "Night sweetheart". Claire lied next to Aaron and look at him and smiled before going to sleep. Carole then realised that she was tired to and went to bed as well.
