Chapter 21: Reluctant Alliances
Darkseid returns to the Netherrealm with Damian and a captive Nightwolf in tow. Damian was being held by two parademons to make sure he didn't escape. He tried to, but the monsters have a very strong grip. Damian looks around and sees where they are. To him, it's like hell.
"Where the hell is this place?" Damian asked.
"The Netherrealm." Nightwolf answered while being held in chains. "Where all the damned souls rest in peace, or rot depending on the good or bad. This, to everyone's eyes, is hell."
"This reminds me of my home planet. Perhaps this world has some things in common with mine." Darkseid commented.
"While it is hell to you, Nightwolf." Mileena walked in front of them. "But to us, it is paradise."
Mileena spins her sais as she swiftly cuts the shackles used on Damian, setting him free. He caresses his wrists as Darkseid hands him his weapons. Damian looks at him with an unsure look on his face before he takes his weapons.
"I don't get it. You attack us, take me prisoner and set me free before giving me my stuff. Either you wanna fight, then it's your funeral." Damian was about to draw his sword, but he heard a familiar voice.
"Stand down, Damian." Superman called out. Damian is surprised to see Superman, Diana, Adam, Killer Frost, Solomon Grundy and Doomsday all in one place.
"Superman. Diana, everyone. How? Wha….. How are y'all here? What is going on here?" Damian is confused.
"It is a long story." Superman said.
The members of the Regime explain everything to him in a separate room from everyone else, coming across the Special Forces, meeting the president, and how they met Darkseid and their allies of the Netherrealm and the "stories" they told them.
"Huh. So I guess this explains why I got captured by Darkseid. Guess he didn't have any use for Arthur. I don't know who those animal guys are. And why the hell are the Legion here?" Damian questioned.
"They are going to be our temporary allies. They seek the same technology we require to return to our own dimension." Adam answered him.
"Allies? Are you out of your damn minds?! Have you forgotten the fact that the majority of these guys were part of Gorilla Grodd's Society? Who also worked with Brainiac? And in case that trip wiped your memory or something, that Polaris guy killed Victor. He was our friend!" Damian protested.
"I know, Damian. Like Adam said, its temporary." Superman said.
"I think Damian is right, Kal-El." Wonder Woman stepped out. "They killed Cyborg. And they're after the Anti-Life Equation. They can't be trusted. Most of them allied with Brainiac."
"But I have an idea. I read about Polaris. It's been a long time. He was one of Hal's enemies. We've seen his abilities. Bruce isn't the only one who has used advanced technology to his advantage. Without Victor, we will have to rely on Polaris. And we will plan ahead of them." Superman said.
Damian and Diana look at each other with some doubt on their faces. They really don't like the idea of allying with someone who killed their friend. And they know that they have recruited other villains such as Sinestro and Bane to the Regime, but it was mostly Superman's idea. Of course, not everyone agreed to the idea.
"What do we do first? I would suggest we talk to Darkseid. He is a master strategist and has conquered countless worlds. Surely, with his and Mileena's help, we can plan our own move carefully against some of the realms." Black Adam said.
"Not a bad start. With Mileena's experience and Darkseid's ideas, we'll have the element of surprise. Bruce has his allies, we have ours." Superman said. "Now who's with me?"
Adam, Grundy, Killer Frost, the mind-controlled Doomsday all raise their hands. Diana and Damian are the only ones who remain silent. Clark notices this, but wants to talk about it with the two later.
In the throne room, Darkseid talks to Adrelita. The latter is growing, and stands up to Darkseid's height. He is impressed by how astounding this dragon is. He can tell she's growing stronger very quickly.
"For a being that has just been brought into this world, you are growing more powerful by each hour each day." Darkseid said.
"I am not the first dragon. My father Onaga mated with my unknown mother and my egg was conceived and sealed within Argus' pyramid. But I still grew, but Blaze's magic prevented me from breaking free, until Blaze was absorbed and sealed beyond us. Had that magic not interfered, I would not be here. I would be a mere hatchling like normal dragons. Like my father before me." Adrelita explained.
"I see. Despite your father being a king, you pledge loyalty to someone lower than you. No where close to your height of powers. The only reason why is because of her experience with our enemies and the realms we now fight with her." Darkseid said, referring to Mileena.
Adrelita listened to Darkseid and cannot deny that he's right. Mileena is nowhere near as powerful as either her or Darkseid. Then again, Shao Kahn was never strong enough to take on her father Onaga the Dragon King in kombat. No one could defeat him.
"I am aware. My kind is meant to rule. My time will come. You will see." Adrelita smirked, showing her fangs. Darkseid could take a few guesses on what she meant by what she said.
But before they could talk further, Superman and his Regime re enter the throne room. Both titans notice and see that Superman wants to have a chat with them.
"So, have you thought of a plan, Kal-El?" Darkseid asked.
"Yes. But we will need your help. Everyone's." Superman replied.
Mileena Kahnum has laid down the plans on their strategy table. There are three different layouts. One is for Edenia, one for Earthrealm's sky temple and one for Outworld.
"Now, these three realms are heavily prepared for anything, given that Lord Liu Kang and Batman are aware of your survival, but they may be unaware of our alliance. But I know their warriors more than anyone. I know how these Edenian warriors fight. And given that I have lived in Edenia for over twenty years before being banished, it is best that I lead an attack on it." Mileena Kahnum suggested.
"Experience with this Edenia realm is helpful. And what of the rulers?" Darkseid asked.
Mileena explained Jerrod and Sindel to Darkseid. Their abilities and fighting styles. They are both very lethal and will not hold back on anyone.
"So I will lead the attack on Edenia. Nitara, Havik and Tanya are with me." Mileena said and everyone nods to her.
"I think it is best if some of my Legion members go for extra insurance. If I may. Cold, Ivy and Black Manta will join you. With their talents, they can surround this palace of theirs so they can't escape." Doctor Polaris tells her.
"I love the sound of that." Mileena agrees.
"And Earthrealm. Where is the Sky Temple?" Diana asked.
"North of the Shaolin Academy." Mileena answered her.
"The Sky Temple holds nice, juicy jinsei. Earthrealm's source of life. We must collect enough of it to power your former friend's dimensional technology." Havik smirked. "My people are more than willing to die for our cause and our motive."
"Since the last attack from a year ago, I understand that the guardian has doubled its defenses, powerful enough to withstand my magic. It won't be easy. Doing this will take up most of my strength, which is why I need to not be seen by anyone." Mavado said.
"I will go. Diana and Adam are with me. Killer Frost and Solomon Grundy will stay with you for protection. Who is this guardian?" Superman asked.
"Fujin. The god of wind. Though not as powerful as Liu Kang, he is a strong one. I failed to best him, but surely you'd be more than a match. A match I look forward to seeing." Havik told Superman.
"A challenge. Finally." Superman holds up a fist.
"Bane, Zoom and Deadshot will be joining you. I must remain behind to work on the technology." Polaris stated.
"Understood. And what about Outworld?" Superman asked.
"I wish to see this Kitana Kahn and her fire god personally. I'll show them what it is like to rule a world. I will lead the charge." Darkseid volunteered. "With your permission, Mileena Kahnum, I would like to take the rest of your followers with me."
"Of course. My sister will not know what will hit her. Show her no mercy. Make everyone watch as you change Outworld. Just as everyone will once we expand our conquest throughout the multiverse." Mileena shouted. "But first, there is one thing I must do. Before we leave."
Down below in prison cells, Nightwolf is being held prisoner, his limbs chained to the walls. He's too weak to break free, and all he can do is hope that someone can rescue him. It would be pointless to even try to escape given how huge the new alliance is compared to the forces of good.
Nightwolf heard a door opening up. Mileena walks in with Nitara, Mavado and Adrelita. The four all smirk evilly at them for whatever reason.
"Mileena. Your reputation as the new Kahn still stenches with arrogance and blind madness." Nightwolf glared at her.
"Awe, well isn't that the nicest thing anyone has ever told me?" Mileena giggled. Her sense of humor is still there. If the Regime heard her laugh like that, they'd probably compare her to Harley Quinn.
"I take that you're not here to execute me. Rather surprising, coming from you." Nightwolf said.
"Correct, Nightwolf. In fact, we have very important details to go over with you and your apprentice. It'll be worth your while." Mileena gestured for Nitara and Mavado to unchain the two and use their magic to restrain them so they wouldn't try anything. He is being dragged to a separate room with Mileena's followers waiting for her. The ones that live in their world. The Regime and Darkseid are waiting outside the cathedral.
Nitara holds the prisoner down, tying their arms and legs together with her blood tendrils coming out from her fingertips on her left hand. Mavado uses his sorcery and uses energy magic to hold their heads up, forcing them to look at Mileena.
"I have been watching you, Nightwolf. For quite a while. You are perhaps more special than we previously thought, particularly for someone who killed Sindel in the Old Era. It took me too long to realize that you are capable of so much more." Mileena said to him.
"I don't know what you are talking about." Nightwolf tries to deny.
"I don't need you to tell me the truth. I had witnesses. I have seen that you and your friend Alex Cage show your friends in Outworld a special technique that only a Matoka can teach. And that this technique can be used in all the realms and only those who were born in this dimension can use it." Mileena explained to him.
"Only those with pure souls can withstand its power. Without proper guidance, allowing your negative emotions will triumph over your positive emotions and overcome you." Nightwolf tells her.
"And that is where you come in." Mileena holds him by his chin. "You will show us what you know."
"We would rather die than to help you." Ni'Tako refused.
"Is that right? Well then, let us make it official then." Mileena smirked and turns to Adrelita. The dragon warrior nods to her empress and approaches him.
Adrelita holds Nightwolf up by his throat and slowly but surely tightens her grip around him. Unable to move, all he could do was stare at the dragon. His eyes slowly began turning bloody red. Adrelita's mouth slowly begins to fill with flames, ready to melt his head off. Nightwolf couldn't take it anymore.
"Alright, stop!" Nightwolf shouted.
Mileena holds up a hand, silently ordering Adrelita to release his apprentice.
"Good. Good. Now, show us how to access this technique. Now." Mileena points a sai at his eye. Nightwolf grunts and snarls at his captor before turning to his apprentice, feeling sorry for what he was about to do against his own will.
In Edenia, everything is just as peaceful as ever. It has not been attacked since before Blaze's awakening. Thankfully, the monster is sealed away. Unfortunately, their dear friend Taven had to be sealed with him. A statue has since been built in his honor and his sacrifice alongside his late parents Argus and Delia for their service.
Sindel stands on the balcony, staring at the three statues. She can imagine many years from now when Meia takes over as queen and succeeds her and King Jerrod. But she can't help but feel concerned about her safety. Given that Meia is young and facing certain issues, Jerrod cannot blame her as he approaches his wife.
"Are you still thinking about Meia?" Jerrod asked. Sindel smiled sadly before nodding.
"I'm becoming easier to read as time passes on, am I?" Sindel asked.
"You've said one time that men can be stupid and insensitive to not realize the importance of a woman's feelings when we were children." Jerrod joked. Sindel could not help but snicker.
"I suppose nothing can get by you anymore." Sindel grasped her husband's hands and sighs.
"You know you can be honest with me on anything. You can tell me, my wife." Jerrod encourages her.
Sindel's eyes change to sadness. "I feel so sorry for our young Meia. She reminds me of how I suffered at that monster's hands and what he put our daughter through. The pain she has gone through and the tragedies she's suffered. Kitana knows her pain. In fact, Meia's is nearly as bad as Alex's. But he….. He grew stronger. It took forever for him to repair his damaged mind that many thought was beyond fixing. And he pulled through. And Meia has faced trauma, suffered nightmares like he has. And she is struggling. All she can think about are Huntress, Cade and Jon. They were her closest friends, and yet she often forgets that she has the other children as her other friends, including our grandson and granddaughter."
"We all deal with pain at our own pace. But it is not too late to fix the mental damage. Our entire family as some of our friends such as Alex and Fujin have pulled through. I have learned something that Earthrealmers say. It is about the journey, not the destination. Meia's journey will have its ups and downs, and mistakes will be made. But no one should take a journey alone. Meia must realize that. I have faith in her." Jerrod assures his wife.
"I suppose you are right. But still, we will not be around for her forever. She will know when to stand on her own and step up where we may not." Sindel smiled.
The rulers of Edenia tap their foreheads against each other while smiling. They're happy to have raised a fine princess after losing her parents at the hands of Shao Kahn. They can imagine her as a fine queen one day. As they think further, they hear footsteps, not bothering to turn their heads. Until…..
"How sweet of you." Mileena Kahnum said, gaining their attention. Sindel's hair grows and moves in front of her like tentacles while Jerrod draws his sword.
"Calm now. Is this how you treat your guests? It does feel nice here, now it is all clean." Mileena smirked.
"Mileena! You have a lot of bravery to show up here. Or should I say foolish? I always thought you were insane, but not an idiot." Sindel glared at her.
"Oh, I am not one to come to other realms without reason. I am hear to make an offer." Mileena Kahnum said.
"We do not negotiate with scum like you. Our offer for you is to leave or die here." Jerrod points his sword at her. But Mileena chuckles and ignores the threat.
"My offer is this: surrender yourselves and the throne and all of Edenia to me. And I promise that no one should die. All of you will be spared and put to work under my command." Mileena announced.
"We would rather fight than to serve you, filthy hybrid." Sindel snarled.
"So be it." Mileena smiled.
The three hear a loud horn coming from outside right in front of the palace. That came from Queen Sheeva of the Shokan.
"Shokan! March forward! Defend the kingdom at all costs!" Sheeva ordered her warriors. They, alongside some other edenian warriors, take their position as some portals open all around them. Many Netherrealm monsters walk out slowly, much to everyone's surprise. Normally they would attack at first sight. But then, over dozens of undead warriors come out alongside the monsters. This throws everyone out. Sheeva is astounded but at the same time, horrified.
"By the gods. Necromancy. But how is this possible? No sorcerer powerful enough can perform such high magic. Not even Shang Tsung or Quan Chi could do this." Sheeva said. Then she hears the sound of flapping. She looks up and sees Adrelita the Dragon hovering over everyone. She is nearly twice the size of a shokan. In fact, she is about Darkseid's height.
"I am Adrelita! Born in the pits of Edenia's Pyramid! The dragon has been reborn and will retake her rightful home in the name of my late father Onaga!" Adrelita announced.
Sindel and Jerrod also see this and are shocked. They could not believe Liu Kang at first, but Adrelita is real and flying above in the sunset orange sky. The same one who actually defeated the fire god in battle.
"No. So, Liu Kang was right. The dragon is real. They were thought to be extinct for millenia." Sindel's eyes widened. Jerrod glared back at the Kahnum of the Netherrealm, with Nitara, Tanya and Havik standing behind her.
"And raised and trained by me. My strongest follower yet. More powerful than Liu Kang and Alex Cage. Last chance. My offer still stands." Mileena said.
Sindel snaps her fingers and more than several Edenian Soldiers charge in, many wielding weapons and other fighting bare handed. Mileena sighed out of slight reluctance.
"It'll be on your hands then, mother Sindel." Mileena mocks before she shouts and points her Sai forward.
Much to their surprise, Mileena and the other villains minus Captain Cold started glowing with their energy, Tanya's aura being yellow to resemble Edenia, Havik's is orange to represent Chaosrealm, and Mileena's and Skarlet's are both purple to represent Outworld. The aura is there flowing around their bodies before their bodies absorb them, making them even stronger. Tanya and the chaosrealmers also inside attack. Havik steps forward alongside Nitara. Tanya teleports and slices through a few heads with her sharp tonfas and phases through another warrior, burning him alive in the process while kicking another in the head and stabbing him with her tonfas.
Havik lets himself be attacked. They swing maces, swords and arrows at his limbs and chest and back. One of the maces and battle hammers even managed to dislocate his shoulders and seemingly break his back, making him bend backwards literally. Havik laughs like a maniac as his limbs and back snap back into place, like they were never broken to begin with. Then much to everyone's confusion, he grabs his own head and snaps his neck, and lives. He spins his torso around, decapitating each and everyone of them.
Nitara raises her hands in the air and summons her claws. The Edenian fighters try to fight back against her, but she is too swift as she swoops one up off his foot, flies high into the air and drops him to his death. One of them shouts as she tries to run up to Nitara and attack, but she holds up a bloody wall and the fighter's hand thrusts through a hole. Skarlet licks her lips as she bites down on the warrior's arm, severing it and she screams. Nitara sucks out the fighter's blood, taking sweet delicacy in her tastes before she rips the arm off and bites into that person's head.
And then Nitara flies through two warriors, cutting their stomachs open, and within moments, two more bodies fall, Two more have their heads stabbed through by her very sharp claws and they die instantly. in a lot of pain before their heads explode from too much blood in their heads. Nitara then sees many archers above her, hanging from the stairs and windows, ready to fire upon her. Before their fingers could let go, an ice beam suddenly freezes them in place. Much to Sindel's confusion, she thought it might have been a cryomancer, but instead. Captain Cold, a human wielding his ice guns, one creating an ice slide for him to maneuver around the throne room, and using another to freeze all the warriors in place. This allows Nitara to fire shards of blood at each of the frozen archers everywhere, shattering them like glass and bloody, tiny icy pieces.
Havik shouts in his own language and orders the chaosrealmers to back down from the king and queen. They follow the cleric's orders without question as the villains approach.
"If you're going to frighten us with an Earthrealmer with cryomancing technology, you will have to do better than that." Sindel claimed.
"Oh, I'm not the only one sweetheart." Captain Cold smirked.
Outside, other Shokan and Edenian warriors are busy fighting on other sides of the palace, with many trees and vines and close to a big ocean with a big waterfall. They try their best to fight the undead army, but no matter how they kill them, with either stabbing them, or decapitation or crushing them, they repair themselves and stand back up. The undead, controlled by Adrelita, begin to gain the upperhand and start killing their enemies.
In front of the palace, many plants are growing bigger, and different ones. Deadly vines with thorns, big flytraps and so on. The vines stab and crush anyone that approaches, staining them in blood, the flytraps chomp on many edenians and shokans alike. Three men try to fight her, but two plants grow from her shoulders, and they fire gas, and two of them smell it and are immediately smitten by her looks and charms. A vine grows from her wrist and grabs him and pulls him in. Poison Ivy kisses the man on the lips. The man starts choking on his own blood as he falls over and dies from the deadly kiss. Many shokan and edenians are held in place by the many vines, unable to break free despite their efforts. All that was left was Queen Sheeva.
"Cease your pace, metahuman. You shall not pass." Sheeva warns her.
"Metahuman? I am the green. The green here is more beautiful than I had imagined. Oh how I would hate to get my hands dirty. And your men, oh, they look fancy and sexy. Imagine how it would be like if they followed me." Poison Ivy chuckled.
"My Shokan will never bow to an inferior being such as you. Now prepare to have your skull crushed by my hands. The queen of the Shokan." Sheeva cracked her fists. Ivy only laughs at this.
"Oh, I don't think so, honey." Poison Ivy said.
All of the plants and vines holding each and every shokan spray toxins into their faces and they all feel a bit drowsy and smitten. Ivy gently lets them down, all of them laying down on the ground.
"Don't worry. They're not dead. I have…. Other plans for them." Poison Ivy said.
The Shokan slowly rise up and they all look at Poison Ivy. They don't even attack the red-haired woman. Instead, they bow to her. Sheeva is angered by this 'betrayal'.
"Shokan! Listen to me! Kill her! Do not make me destroy you as well!" Sheeva yelled at them. Unfortunately, her orders and threats fell on deaf ears. Instead, they stand up and glare at her.
"Your four armed men are mine now. My toxins can either paralyze, kill and even control them. Make them do my bidding and see me as their new queen." Ivy said as she gestures and strokes one of their faces. "Now, my new minions. Take her!"
All of the Shokan all walk towards her. Sheeva growls in anger as she is ready to fight regardless. She fires a few giant fireballs from her four palms, sending some back, using her high jump and dragon stomp and incapacitating them. She charges forward and throws fists of fury, knocking some out before she attempts to throw her spiky shield to knock one down, but he grabs it, fighting with every ounce of his strength. Sheeva attempts to punch them, but more Shokan grab her arms before more come in and punch her across the head, face and shoulders before they began to gang up on her and beat her into submission. Ivy stands there and smirks evilly, loving the strength of the brainwashed Shokan.
As Edenian warriors search out for any enemies near the huge waterfall, there seems to be no signs. They see something red coming out of the water. Black Manta leaps out of the water alongside with chaosrealmers and undead zombies. He fires his big heat visions at two Edenians, vaporizing them. He fires a harpoon gun through the chest of a fighter, pulling him in and stabbing him in the head with his built in blades. He uses his hover jets and flies through other fighters while using his lasers, killing them, slicing them in half as his side starts taking advantage.
In the palace, Sindel and Jerrod are horrified to see what is going on. Poison Ivy taking control of the Shokan, now carrying a battered, bloodied and bruised Sheeva and Black Manta taking over the backside of the palace with new forces.
"You! What did you do?! Where did you get these monsters?!" Sindel demanded.
"Courtesy of our new allies Polaris, Darkseid and Superman. How does it feel, my queen? Being outclassed by your own enemies now that we have more powerful allies than you?" Mileena mocked.
"So, the dictator and the conqueror have to resort to picking you. I'm not sure whether it's by choice, or out of pity considering you only conquered a wasteland." Jerrod insulted.
"Fool! Edenia will be mine! Now face us!" Mileena shouted. Mileena, Havik and Captain Cold face Sindel while Jerrod fights Nitara and Tanya.
Jerrod defends himself from Nitara's claws and Tanya's tonfas. Jerrod blocks and does a backflip kick to Tanya's chin, sending her back while fighting Nitara toe to toe. He kicks her backwards and chops her in the neck and kicks her across the chin twice and thrusts sword forward, stabbing her in her left thigh, making her grunt in pain. But then much to his surprise, Nitara surrounds herself in a veil of blood before throwing it directly at Jerrod, sending him flying. Then Nitara comes in and grabs Jerrod and kicks him in the chest, sending him down before allowing Tanya to come in, jump up and do a fiery dive kick to the chest, sending Jerrod down to the ground hard, cracking his chest and spine greatly, causing him to yell in pain.
Sindel continues to fight the other three on her own while avoiding Captain Cold's shots. But once she saw her husband in pain and lying on the ground. She tightens her fists in anger and turns her attention to Captain Cold. He fires both ice weapons at her, but Sindel counters this with her full power banshee scream. Her screams overpower both ice weapons and send Captain Cold back, defeating him easily. She turns to Havik and Mileena. Havik bends his lower body backwards and fires an energy blast at her, which Sindel easily avoids and stabs Havik through the torso with her spear, pinning him to the ground. Then she faces Mileena, where she throws her sais at Sindel, but she catches them with her hair before tossing them aside. Mileena cartwheels forward and manages to land two kicks on Sindel's forehead while the latter stands up higher with her hair. She jumps forward past the new Kahnum, and banshee screams, causing her to slam into a wall before being grabbed by her neck and brought to her.
"Yield, Mileena. Do not make me kill you. This is the last time I will warn you. How did you obtain this power?!" Sindel stared into her eyes.
"I am not finished yet." Mileena grabs Sindel's face and bites down onto her shoulder, tearing part of it off, making Sindel scream and causing her to let Mileena go. She stumbles backwards and places a hand on her wounded shoulder, bleeding out badly. "And for your question, benefits of learning from your good friend Nightwolf. He was reluctant, but with a little persuasion, he gave in for the sake of his life."
Sindel quickly realizes that Nightwolf has been captured by the Netherrealm and forced to show them his technique, like how he, Kitana and Alex showed them.
"You wretched animal!" Sindel glared in more hatred.
"That wounds me, my queen. But it's you who should yield now." Mileena said. When she said that, Adrelita flies in, breaking through the front of the palace with no effort and stands before Sindel. She smirks down at the queen.
"So. You're the queen of Edenia? Please. Your husband is weak and you give away all your power to petty commoners. Mileena Kahnum knows what is best. To keep all the power to the strongest." Adrelita mocks Sindel.
"You want power? Fine! Let me demonstrate!" Sindel declared. She does another banshee scream at the new dragon, but she easily blocks with her wings and she's not even sliding backwards.
Sindel grabs her spear from Havik's torso and charges upward and aims it at her head. But Adrelita flies and grabs Sindel with her big, scaly feet, stabbing Sindel's back with her claws, causing multiple blood wounds and making her yell in pain before slamming her down to the ground hard, breaking some of Sindel's ribs.
Sindel tries to get up, but Adrelita's strength is just too great for her to even budge. All she could do is stare at the dragon as she approaches the queen's face.
"Hmmph. You're not even worth killing in my point of view. Besides, Mileena wants you alive. She will change Edenia for the better and soon, our grand master plan will succeed and all worlds will yield to the influence of the Anti-Life Equation." Adrelita tells Sindel before letting go of her and stepping back. The now brainwashed Shokan then come up and drag the wounded king and queen away as they are to Sheeva. They are taken away to being locked up, leaving only the villains alone as Poison Ivy and Black Manta come up while Havik and Cold recover from their injuries.
"Well done, everyone. We have taken Edenia back from our enemies. With our new allies, everything is made easier for us thanks to your abilities." Mileena praises everyone before turning to the dragon princess. "Especially you, my loyal dragon. Your necromancing abilities are growing stronger and stronger. And now you have new toys to play with."
"Thank you, my empress. I live to serve." Adrelita smiled as her eyes glowed green. Outside, more dead bodies of Shokans and Edenians rise up, now under Adrelita's control.
Mileena approaches the throne of Edenia and smirks and laughs. She can't believe it herself. She has actually succeeded in taking Edenia from her half-sister's mother Sindel and her husband Jerrod. Victory was in her grasp for the first time.
Note: Mileena still sees Sindel as a mother, but she, like Kitana, rejects her. Honestly, I'm glad they changed it to where they are all biologically related to each other. Mileena and Sindel are one of my favorites.
