Episode 477: Sleepless in Canalave City
Shortly after fighting Count Ernesh, Sora took out his Rotom Phone to make contact with Rei and report to her about contacting Count Ernesh. Sora's call goes through when Rei answered.
"Sora, I'm glad you called, but I take it that it's not a social call," Rei said.
"No, Master, it isn't. I'm calling to tell you that we made contact with Count Ernesh just now," Sora reported. Rei was troubled by this bit of news.
"Are you sure?" Rei asked.
"It's no joke, Master. He had his sights set on Riku and he didn't give us a choice but to engage him. He was too much for us even though we outnumbered him," Sora said.
"I should have warned you not to engage him, so it's my own fault for not doing it. I'm sorry for letting it happen," Rei said.
"You have nothing to be sorry about, Master. It was my call to make since I'm the leader of the Union, so it's really my fault," Sora said.
"I appreciate that you're taking responsibility for your actions, Sora, but the blame has to come on my shoulders. While we are on the subject, has he succeeded in taking Riku as his apprentice?" Rei asked.
"No, he hasn't. He left empty-handed," Sora replied.
"That's good then. You shouldn't have thought yourselves to be ready to engage him since Count Ernesh is a Keyblade Master. And I am more than relieved that you're all alright. Now that you have seen Count Ernesh, your mission to find other Keyblade candidates has gotten even harder going forward. I advise you to be on your toes," Rei said.
"Okay, Master," Sora said.
"How close are you to Canalave City by now?" Rei asked.
"We should be almost there. Wes, Rui, and Michael should be waiting for us to come into town by now," Sora said.
"Good. I'm looking forward in hearing of your accomplishments. Keep me informed," Rei said.
"Yes, Master," Sora said, breaking contact.
Meanwhile, Count Ernesh has returned to his Sinnoh home and his black dragon returns to where it came. His butler greets him.
"I trust your errand went well, sir," the butler assumed.
"I have failed to accomplish my task for the time-being, but it was a minor setback," Count Ernesh said.
"How unforfunate for you, sir. I am hoping you will have a better chance the next time," the butler said.
"As do I. I will be in my bedchambers," Count Ernesh said.
"Yes, sir. I will order none to disturb you sleep," the butler said as Count Ernesh leaves for his bedroom to sleep. He bowed his head in respect. "Pleasant dreams."
Meanwhile, Sora, Kairi, Riku, Naminé, Roxas, Xion, Lea, Ash, Leaf, Ethan, Kris, Lyra, Brendan, May, Chase, Elaine, Lucas, Dawn, Tai, Matt, Sora T, Izzy, Mimi, Joe, TK, Kari, Davis, Ken, Yolei, Cody, Meiko, Amy, Takato, Henry, Rika, Ryo, Jeri, Kazu, Kenta, Suzie, Takuya, Koji, JP, Zoe, Tommy, Koichi, Pikachu, Angel, Eevee, Azurill, Xipak, Celeste, Marill, Volt, Maple, Piplup, Little Mei, Guil, Mime Jr, and Munchlax have arrived to Canalave City, a port city. As they arrived to the Pokémon Center, they stepped inside and they find Nurse Joy at the stand, but she appeared to be asleep. She has dark circles under her eyes.
"Is it me or does she look like she's asleep?" Davis asked.
"I'm seeing it, Davis," Sora said. He approached the young nurse and he gently nudged her. She then screamed, making the rest of the group yelp in response. "Sorry about that. I didn't mean to..."
"No, don't be sorry. I kinda dosed off there for a moment," Nurse Joy said with a yawn. "May I help you with something?"
"We thought of checking in, but if you're too tired, we could come back later," Sora said.
"I'm not too tired. My obligations as a nurse has to come before my own..." Nurse Joy yawned. "...my own..." Nurse Joy started to fall asleep again. She woke up and gave a look that said she's scared. "Please, excuse me. I think I'm going to have some coffee. Maybe that'll wake me up." She took her leave of the stand. The group looked at her, knowing something funny was going on.
"Okay..." Sora paused.
"Something's gotta be up if this is going on with Nurse Joy," Lea said.
"It's not just her," a familiar voice spoke. They saw Wes approaching them, but he has the same dark circles under his eyes, too.
"Wes. You look awful," Kairi said.
"Eevee," Angel said.
"Are you alright?" Riku asked.
"Wish I said I was. Like I said, it's not just Nurse Joy, it's the whole town," Wes said as he yawned.
"What's going on?" Sora asked.
"I think you're gonna have to hear it from Rui and Michael, too. We'll explain the whole story to you," Wes said. The group met up with Rui and Michael as they also looked so ragged with the same dark circles.
"Hey, guys," Michael said, sounding tired.
"We missed you," Rui said, sounding just as tired.
"Man, you guys don't look so good," Sora said.
"Pikachu," Pikachu said.
"You look like you stayed up way passed your bedtime," Suzie said.
"Yeah, and there's a reason behind it," Michael said with a yawn.
"Yeah? What?" Brendan asked.
"Okay, it all started just a couple of days ago. It was after we were told about the tale of the mythical Pokémon, Darkrai," Wes said.
"Darkrai? You mean the Pokémon that's said to give people nightmares?" Izzy asked.
"The same," Wes answered.
"At first, I thought it was just the three of us, but we were wrong when we heard it's been happening to everyone else," Michael said.
"And that's when we thought of Darkrai, but it isn't," Rui said.
"How could it be Darkrai and not Darkrai?" Dawn asked.
"Because we know what's really causing the nightmares to everyone. It turns out to be the Nightmare Dream Eaters," Wes said.
"Dream Eaters?" Dawn asked.
"What are those?" Lucas asked.
"Well, Dream Eaters are creatures that comes from the realm of sleep. There are two types of Dream Eaters, and they're the Spirit and Nightmare Dream Eaters," Kairi explained.
"Eevee," Angel said.
"They rarely ever come to the real world. Just how do you know it's the Dream Eaters and not Darkrai?" Kairi asked.
"Because we saw them. They're causing nightmares to everyone in the entire city. Because of the Nightmare Dream Eaters, no one in Canalave City had a wink of sleep," Rui said.
"We tried to fight them off, but we're too drowsy to fight them off," Michael yawned. "And we were hoping you were close-by to help out."
"It's a good thing we're here then. If the Nightmares are here to cause trouble, then we gotta clear them all out," Sora said.
"And figure out how to keep them in the realm of sleep, otherwise they'll just come back and cause some more nightmares to everyone and anyone unfortunate enough to stumble in this predicament," Leaf said.
"Leaf's right. If they're getting in the real world, then there should be a doorway that the Nightmares are getting through. And when we find that doorway, we're gonna have to lock it just so none of them can come back out," Riku said.
"Eevee," Eevee said.
"But where do we start looking?" Chase asked.
"Pikachu," Pikachu said.
"We're gonna have to look everywhere. If those Nightmare Dream Eaters show up, then we're gonna have to clear them out," Sora said.
"If you're out, clearing out the Nightmares, the rest of us will have to stay behind and help out Nurse Joy since she's running herself ragged," Joe said.
"That's a good idea, Joe. You DigiDestined can stick around and see what you can do while we handle the big problem," Sora said.
"Then, let's get cracking," Michael said.
"Sorry, guys, but you're in no shape to help out since you're too tired to fight them. The best thing you can do is rest," Sora said.
"But-" Michael said.
"He's right, Michael. I'm having a hard enough time as it is trying to keep my eyes opened," Wes said.
"All we ask that you be careful out there," Rui said. Wes, Rui, and Michael fell asleep.
"Okay, guys. Take out every Nightmare you see. We can't leave a single one out on the loose," Sora said.
"Right," the other Keyblade wielders said as they stepped out to combat the attacking Nightmare Dream Eaters.
After stepping out, they spread out to different parts of the city to deal with the Nightmares. They split into smaller teams. Sora, Kairi, Riku, Naminé, Pikachu, Angel, Eevee, and Azurill made the first team. Ash, Leaf, Chase, Elaine, Volt, and Maple made the second team. Ethan, Kris, Lyra, and Marill made the third team. Brendan, May, and Lea made the fourth team as Roxas, Xion, Lucas, Dawn, and Piplup made the fifth team.
The first team came across some Nightmares. They were Meow Wows, Tama Sheeps, and another Dream Eater.
The Meow Wow's Nightmare form has a contrasting color scheme. The top half of its body is black, and the bottom is pink. It has white bands wrapping around its legs with black paws. The spots are purple in color, as are the tips of its ears. It has red round pupils and a mint green tongue, as well as white muzzle and pale blue horn on its forehead, and lastly possesses a white tail and a black nose.
The Tama Sheep's Nightmare form has the top-half of its body is dark purple in color. Its lower body shows a contrast of yellow and purple and has several black spots. In the middle of its body is its face, showing a contrast of blue and light green, and it has red eyes. Its small, flapping ears and thin legs are blue with purple hooves. It has large horns which are blue, purple and green.
The third Dream Eater is a medium-sized, goat-like Dream Eater. Its Nightmare Emblem is on its back, near its hindquarters. It horn-shaped horns flows from yellow to brown, on its head, as well as a shorter, purple and lime horn that emerges from a similarly-colored patch of fur in the center of its forehead. It has red eyes, a black nose, and a black mouth. It has a shaggy, white, grey, and purple mane that covers the front of its body, and a short, similarly-colored "beard" on its chin. It has a black body, with a purple-blue spiral at the base of each of its legs and a similar purple-blue mark that runs across its back. It has a short, purple brush-like tail, and the tips of its hooves are yellow and brown. This Dream Eater is known as the Yoggy Ram.
Sora, Kairi, Riku, and Naminé quickly summoned their Keyblades and engaged the Nightmares.
Over to Ash, Leaf, Chase, Elaine, Volt, and Maple, they came across a Nightmare that has a small body. Its round, furry head has a diamond mark covering its face, with large, frilled ears, tiny eyes, and two small fangs. Two small, clawed feet hang from its body, while two large, thin wings extend outward. The wings are covered with four-pointed stars, one of them much larger than the others. Its Nightmare Emblem is on the back of its head. It has a purple body and yellow feet. Its head is black with a light blue diamond, while the inside of its ears are pink, fading into purple, the back of its ears are lime. It has red eyes with, and its fangs are blue, the same color as the diamond on its head. Its wings are dark blue, while the stars on the wings are blue and green, and outlined in white. This Dream Eater is known as the Komory Bat. Several more Komory Bats appeared before them.
Over to Ethan, Kris, Lyra, and Marill, they came across some Nightmares. They were of Meow Wows, Tama Sheeps, and a couple of new ones.
It's a small, hairy lion-like creature consisting of a head with feet and a tail. Its shape is a circle, covered with prickles. Its Nightmare Emblem is on the bottom of its mane. It has circular red eyes, and a spiky dark purple mane covers most of its body, in addition to a green colored face with a yellow nose and a mouth lined with sharp pointed teeth. Its ears and tail are striped with pink, yellow, and purple. Its green legs have purple paws with blue nails. The tail has a spiky tuft of dark purple fur. This Dream Eater is known as the Pricklemane.
Another is a creature that resembles a fusion of a snake and lizard. It has a curve-based structure with a spiked spine. It has multiple teeth along with a horn resting atop its head, but lacks a visible nose. Its Nightmare Emblem is on its underbelly. It has a lime colored head, with two yellow spots as cheeks, and white, pointy teeth. It has red, squared eyes, and black spikes line its head down its spine. Its colorful underbelly is lime, fading to purple. Its back is purple, and its body ends in a lime coiled and black-spiked tail that melts into an orange, purple, then finally black. It has two thin, lime legs and wears purple and black shoes. This Dream Eater is known as the Hebby Repp.
Ethan, Kris, and Lyra summoned their Keyblades and engaged them.
Over to Brendan, May, and Lea, they came across some Nightmare Dream Eaters as well.
One is a winged frog armed with a cattail blade and a lilypad shield. Its Nightmare Emblem is on the middle of its belly. Its body is primarily black, with a big round white and teal spot on its belly. Around the white and teal spot are little pink and purple dots. Its legs are orange, blending to yellow. It has a green and dark green cattail blade, with a yellow hilt, and a dark green lily pad shield, with yellow edges. Its wings are turquoise, bending down to a dark purple color, with purple and yellow insides, and a purple orb on each end. It has circular red diamond like eyes. This Dream Eater is known as the Sir Kyroo.
Another is styled after a salamander. Its feet have spiked toes, and the ends of both its tail and tongue are heart-shaped. Its Nightmare Emblem is on top of its head. It has a head that is colored purple, faded into blue, then green, then yellow. It has black eyes with heart-shaped pupils that change color depending on its disposition. It has three nostrils and a large mouth with purple gums, white teeth below its upper lip and a purple, faded into blue, tongue that ends in a heart shape. It has a collar of red hearts and its back is purple. The middle of its body is light blue with purple spots running down the sides. Its lower body and legs are green and there are four yellow spots on its legs. Its feet are pink. It has a green tail that ends in a red heart with blue, faded into purple, then white, then yellow swirls. This Dream Eater is known as the Toximander.
Another is a piranha-like Dream Eater. Its Nightmare Emblem is on its forehead, between its eyes. It has a grey face and jaw, red eyes, and a dark pink mouth filled with many sharp teeth. On both sides of its jaw are purple spiral-like formations. It has two small, off-white horns jutting out under its jaw, and a large horn in the center of its forehead. Its body is primarily a maroon color, with four blue spots running along each side. Along its back is a fin consisting of four more horns with orange and purple ridges between them. Its front fins flow from dark blue to red to orange, and it has two smaller black and purple fins towards the back. Its large, blade-like tail fin has dark purple, light blue, and pale yellow stripes. This Dream Eater is known as the Fin Fatale.
Another resembles a sea horse. Its fins are exaggerated, and roughly as wide as its owner. Its Nightmare Emblem is on its chest. Its fins are dark-blue with pink, yellow, and orange spots on their length and trimming with the same colors at their ends. Two similar fins are attached to the head, which is the same shade of blue as the fins. The head has red eyes, and a pair of teal horns with light-purple tips. The main body is primarily purple, with some pink, yellow, and orange spots like the fins, and two sets of spikes with the same color scheme as the head's horns: One set on the tail, and another set on the stomach. This Dream Eater is known as the Tatsu Steed.
Another resembles a cat that has a long neck and six legs. Its design has a musical theme, as evinced by the bells on the tip of its pointy ears and its collars, and the eighth note-shape of its tail. Its eyes have a cheery expression. Its body has two layers of color, which swirl together near its rear, and its knees are striped. Its Nightmare Emblem is on its chest. Its coat is a combination of dark purple and dark blue, and its knee stripes are indigo and light green while its paws are light green. Its whiskers and collar have the same color scheme, a dark purple that fades into a deep yellow, while its eyes are red and its bells are silver. Finally, the lower part of its note-like tail is yellow and transitions into dark purple. This Dream Eater is known as the Necho Cat.
Another is a giraffe-like Dream Eater. Its Nightmare Emblem is on its forehead. Its body is primarily a purple color covered with dark purple lines, forming heart symbols. It has four black and white horns on the top of its head, and two similar shorter ones in the middle. It has black eyes, with circular red pupils, and a black nose. It has a purple necklace, with a big purple diamond in the middle of its neck which blends down to yellow. It has grey, white, and black feet, and purple hooves. On the top of its legs are purple wings. Similar shorter ones can be found on the sides of its hooves. This Dream Eater is known as the Thunderaffe.
Another is a rotund panda-like Dream Eater. Its Nightmare Emblem is on its chest. It has a bright blue head, with a yellow muzzle that blends to pink and a round black nose. It also has two circular red eyes within black eye-slots. On the top of its head, it has round black ears with a neon purple center. It also has a large bright blue torso that blends to purple closer to the bottom. It also has black arms and yellow hands that blend to pink. At the end of its hands, it has three large sharp bright turquoise claws which blend into yellow at the end of the claws. It also has stubby black legs, as well as flat stubby dull turquoise feet. This Dream Eater is known as the Kooma Panda.
Brendan and May summoned their Keyblades as Lea summoned his chakrams as the Nightmares rushed at them.
Over to Roxas, Xion, Lucas, Dawn, Xipak, Celeste, and Piplup, the Dream Eaters they're facing consisted of Meow Wows, Pricklemanes, Thunderaffes, and some new ones.
One of them is a pegasus-like Dream Eater. Its tail is shaped like a wing, and there are also smaller wings placed near its hooves. The wings themselves aren't connected to the main body. It has a pair of small, pink-colored spikes on its cheek and a pair of ribbons in its hair. The Nightmare Dream Eater emblem is located on its lower neck. It has a dark blue body but still has white running through the middle. The fur on its head is maroon and blue. The tail is now a dark red and black. The top of the legs are blue and the bottom purple with orange and yellow hooves. The head is white now and the eyes changed to black. This Dream Eater is known as the Pegaslick.
Another is a medium-sized penguin-like creature. Its overall design resembles an old-fashioned aviator. The Nightmare Dream Eater emblem is on its belly. Its face and belly are brown-black in color, and it has a yellow "jacket", with a blue-green edge, covering its wings, back, and the top of its head. It has red eyes without pupils and aqua-colored flippers and beak, and on the top of its head are two stubby protrusions resembling thick aviator goggles, colored orange along the lengths and aqua at the ends. A ring of dark pink orbs around its neck resembles a thick insulated scarf, and colorful feathers hang down from the undersides of its wings. This Dream Eater is known as the Iceguin Ace.
Another is an owl-like Dream Eater. Its Nightmare Emblem is on the middle of its chest. Its body is primarily dark purple. It has green, yellow, and pink ears, with a light blue horn on the top of its head. It has a grey face with circular red eyes, with sharp purple and yellow feathers on its chin. On both of its wings are light blue feathers. Similar feathers can be found on its tail. Its body is a dark violet color, and its feet are purple with green claws. This Dream Eater is known as the Peepsta Hoo.
Another is a snail-like Dream Eater. Its Nightmare Emblem is on its chest. It has a dark purple head with yellow ears, light purple balls, and two black antennas leading to its red eyes. It has a dark purple body with a light purple chest. It has a colorful shell with dark purple and blue patterns and a red horn on each side. This Dream Eater is known as the Escarglow.
Another is a Dream Eater that has a resemblance to a rhinocerous beetle with the Nightmare Dream Eater emblem is located on its chest. The Dream Eater has a dark purple and orange body with a burgundy head and burgundy arms. It has a turquoise shell, and purple and green what appears to be "flowers" on each arm, grey claws, and yellow "palms". It has black legs, with turquoise and purple feet. Its nose is a giant cannon, which has ocean wave designs on the side. Similar ones can be found under its arms. The cannon is burgundy, blending to turquoise, then pink at the end. This Dream Eater is known as the KO Kabuto.
"Are these the Dream Eaters?" Dawn asked.
"Yeah. And judging by how these look, these have got to be the Nightmare Dream Eaters," Roxas said.
"Here they come," Lucas said. The Nightmares launch their attacks on the Keyblade wielders.
Back with Sora, Kairi, Riku, Naminé, Pikachu, Angel, Eevee, and Azurill, they struck down the Dream Eaters as they came. Taking their places are some other Dream Eaters.
One of them is a flower-like Dream Eater. Its head is light blue with a purple and yellow swirl at the top. It has purple antennas with a yellow and pink top, and a black and yellow butterfly shaped flower behind its head. Its body is primarily yellow, with a purple collar, and black fins on each side that have a light blue tip, and yellow dots in the middle. The bottom of its body is a purple, blending a yellow shaped heart, which is where the Nightmare Dream Eater emblem is located. This Dream Eater is known as the Wheeflower.
Another is a diminutive ghost Dream Eater shaped like an egg. It has a dark-grey body, with a sky-blue tail, the Nightmare Emblem is located on the base of its body. It wears a sky-blue nightcap that has a small semi-circular purple-black patch near the eyes and ends with a large ball that is sky-blue blending to purple with two bright yellow lines. It has two bright red eyes that are oval in shape and black eye-slots surrounding the eyes that have dashes extending from the sides. It has its mouth open, which has a large tongue colored purple blending black at the end, with sharp white teeth and small dark magenta balls near the sides of its mouth, beside its mouth it has two white patches. It wields multicolored cutlery as weapons, in black-tipped hands. This Dream Eater is known as the Ghostabocky.
Another is a Dream Eater that has the strong resemblance to an elephant. The trunk and the back of the Nightmare are gray. The color scheme puts more emphasis on blue and purple for the body, ears, and feet. The tips of the ears have consistently pink ends spiraling into the actual ears. Its tuskes are pink and yellow. The feet also have a small pink floral trim. The trunk has a gray base, before transitioning to a dark purple stripe, a pink stripe, and finally ending at the brighter purple, funnel-like trunk. The Nightmare Dream Eater emblem is located on the forehead. This Dream Eater is known as the Zolephant.
Another is a seal-like Dream Eater. Most of its body is covered up with some kind of wetsuit. While the upper section is dark red, the lower section is indigo, with the two being bridged by the Nightmare Dream Eater emblem. The Nightmare's actual body appears to be dark grey, with the face sporting round purple cheeks, with the lips also appearing to be purple. The part of the face between the eyes appears to be a darker shade of grey than the rest of its body. Two small ears stick out of the wetsuit's head, and there appears to be a cyan bowtie around its neck, above an indigo mushroom-shaped pattern on its chest. The tips of its hands are dark red, and grey toes stick out of the wetsuit's feet. This Dream Eater is known as the Juggle Pup.
Another is a brown, eagle-like creature. Its wings and tail look like blades. The Nightmare Dream Eater's beak, legs, and tail are outlined in aquamarine. Its eyes, horns, body, tail, upper legs, and claws are red. The fur on its neck is yellow, and its chest is blue. This Dream Eater is known as the Halbird.
Another is a Dream Eater resembling a stag beetle. Its head is purple, its belly is red, and its legs are green. Equipped with a large pair of pincers. This Dream Eater is known as the Staggerceps.
Pikachu gave the Nightmare Dream Eaters quite a shock with Thunderbolt, hitting them as Eevee fired a Shadow Ball and Angel fired Swift. They fought off the Nightmares as they kept on appearing.
Back with Ethan, Kris, Lyra, and Marill, they're engaging some more Dream Eaters coming their way.
Another is a Dream Eater that resembles a fish's skeleton. The Nightmare Dream emblem is on its back. Its torso is purple, the side horns are blue, its lower jaw is black, and the fins are yellow. This Dream Eater is known as the Fishboné.
Another is a palette swap of the Meow Wow. Like the Meow Wow, the Nightmare Dream Eater Emblem is on its chest. The top-half of its body is white with cream spots while its bottom-half black. The tail is white and yellow with blue flower petals while the horn is teal. This Dream Eater is known as the Flowbermeow.
Another is Dream Eater whose overall design resembles a cybernetic goat. It possesses a lean body ending in a short tail. The striking features of the Dream Eater are its long, prominent horns resembling antlers which have a stripe on the outward-facing side. It has a relatively short, flat mouth, tall ears that face downwards and a mane that covers the back of its neck starting at the top of its head and ending on its shoulders. Two stripes decorate the side of its face and neck, one originating from the top of its head to reach the front of its chest while the other begins at the neck and ends at its hip. Both its forelegs and hindquarters have a spike on their outward side and are decorated by a single spiral. This Dream Eater has a primarily dark purple body while its stripes and spirals feature a bright pink color. The rear section of its legs has cyan as its dominant color that shifts into a dark tone of blue and ends in yellow at the tip of its feet. Its horns are colored in blue at their base and shift to a dark purple color towards their tip; the base also shifts to a lighter tone of blue until it reaches a cyan color at the frontal tips. The Nightmare's nose bridge features a blue color that rapidly shifts into cyan. Its mane is primarily olive green with some mixture of black and green at the tips; its tail also features this color combination but has both blue and cyan colors in the upper region. The Nightmare Dream Eater emblem is featured on its hip. This Dream Eater is known as the Cyber Yog.
Another is a frog-like creature with a large, rotund body and head, but thin and stubby limbs. It has very large, circular eyes, small, mitten-like hands, and wide, flat feet. Each of its feet have three large toes that end in circular bumps. It wears an apron over its belly, held on by four straps and small shoulder pads, and a tall toque on the top of its head. It also carries a frying pan in its left hand, using it as a weapon, and a small, circular pot lid in its right hand, which it uses as a shield. Its Nightmare Emblem is on the front of its apron. It has dark purple skin with cyan markings on its back. Its belly, hands, and legs are reddish-pink, while its fingers and toes are yellow-orange. Its apron is dark green near its top and fades into a dark blue-green color. Its toque has a dark blue-green base and a dark green top. The apron has yellow straps, attached by light green and cyan buttons. Its eyes are completely red and heavily outlined in black. Its shoulder pads are pink with lime green edges. Its frying pan is a metallic, dark purple color with a silver "pommel" and "crossguard". The pan's handle is orange and reddish-pink. Its "shield" is a metallic shade of dark purple with a silver rim and lid. This Dream Eater is known as the Chef Kyroo.
Another resembles a bipedal frog, with rotund body and stubby, three-toed limbs. It wields a buckler and a rapier, and wears a crown and a polka-dotted cape. Its Nightmare Emblem is on the middle of its belly. Its primary color is a dark turquoise. Its rapier colored black and white on the grip and handguard, with its shield being yellow and black. Its feet and hands are colored yellow and magenta unlike the rest of its body. The cape is also colored purple with pale-violet polka dots, while its crown is colored green with magenta tones. Its underbelly is colored with a darker yellow. This Dream Eater is known as the Lord Kyroo.
Another is a palette swap of the Tatsu Steed, based on a leafy seadragon, a type of sea horse-like animal known for its long seaweed-like body parts. This is referenced in the fact that this Dream Eater, unlike the Tatsu Steed, has longer fins and such. It sports purple heads and fins, with the tips transitioning from lime green to cyan. A bit more green can be located on the part of it that separates the head from the body. The body is a dark blue that gets darker as it leads into the tail. The frills on the tail are magenta with cream-colored tips. Four more are located just below the Nightmare Dream Eater emblem. This Dream Eater is known as the Tatsu Blaze.
Another has the resemblance of a unicorn. Its head is violet with green details. Its horn and the strips of hair that come off its head are pink-burgundy with violet edges. Its body is green, with violet and light blue details. Its legs are violet, with white hooves, a red horn and a light blue lightning bolt. Its tail is shaped like a zig-zag and is pink-burgundy with violet edges. This Dream Eater is known as the Electricorn.
Another is the pallete swap as the Wheeflower. Its horn spikes and heart-shaped bottom are now cyan instead of purple, with the latter sporting a white upper section. The rose bud "hands" are now black at the bottom, blue in the center, and green at the tips. The color scheme of the rose buds also carries over to the horns. The Nightmare Dream Eater emblem is located on its lower body. This Dream Eater is known as the Woeflower.
Ethan casts a thunder spell, hitting the Electricorns, but they resisted it greatly.
Brendan, May, and Lea were running as they were being chased by some Dream Eaters. The same can be said for Roxas, Xion, Lucas, Dawn, Xipak, Celeste, and Piplup. Several more Dream Eaters gave pursuit.
One of them is a small, ghost-clown like Dream Eaters that resemble a jester or a puppet. It is green-blue "skin-tone" and red, pink, and purple "clothes", as well as red feet. It wears a big jester's hat that is purple with magenta and sea green spots. On the ends of the hat are red and yellowish-green balls or bells. It has a purple colored mouth with a large green and blue tongue. It also has pink and orange cheeks and black rimmed red eyes. The Nightmare emblem is located on its chest. This Dream Eater is known as the Jestabocky.
Another is an hawk-like Dream Eater. It has a black and dark purple body and head with black wings that fade into yellow on the wings' inner edges. If one looks closely enough at the wings, the green part looks as if it is also fading into teal or a shade of blue. The Dream Eater also has neon yellow talons and a neon yellow beak, and it also has a dark purple tail that resembles the back end of a plane. Scattered across the body are pink circuitry patterns. This Dream Eater is known as the Eaglider.
Another is a rabbit-like Dream Eater. Its primarily colored in dark blue and turquoise. The dots on its ears, stripes on the collar and its lower legs are colored light purple and the collar's primary color and lines on its cheeks are green. The Dream Eater has red eyes and red-to-orange transition of color on its arms. The Dream Eater emblem is located in its chest. This Dream Eater is known as the Me Me Bunny.
Another resembles a large rhinocerous, and as both that fact and its name would imply, it has one very large drill-like horn. It has a dark face with the Nightmare version of the Dream Eater emblem on its forehead. Its body is primarily light in coloration, sporting a large yellow body, an orange horn and orange drill spikes, and various shades of blue and red. It also has red eyes. This Dream Eater is known as the Drill Sye.
Another is a Dream Eater resembles a tyrannosaurus rex. Its dark-brown face is complemented by a large purple jaw filled with many teeth, while its Nightmare Dream Eater emblem can be seen on top of its head. Two large pink horn-like projections stick out from the top of its head. The Nightmare has a large brown body with an orange streak going down the side of it. It has a blue belly, and on its shoulders it has turquoise purple ridges. On its legs are four dots, going from light blue to purple, and it has large pink and purple claws at the end of its feet and hands, which are brown and blue. Its large tail has colorful, blade-like ridges. This Dream Eater is known as the Tyranto Rex.
Another another is a rabbit-like Dream Eater with a gray and dark purple make up most of the Nightmare Majik Lapin's body. The face is a dark grey while the surrounding portions of its head are dark purple, with two yellow cheek-like spots on each side. On the sides of its head are two long ears, which end in two diamonds, the diamond on top being slightly smaller than the one on the bottom. The outer section of the ears are gray with yellow diamonds carries over for the inner section of the ears. The chest sports a large dark purple stripe and the Nightmare Dream Eater emblem, while beneath that is a gray body with a dark purple tail and two red and dark purple feet. Another aspect lies within its clothing. On its head is a dark purple party hat that transitions to a yellow sphere on top. On the hat are three diamonds that transition from red to purple, the center diamond being larger than the other two. It also sports a dark purple cloak that has a pattern resembling its hat, red triangles transitioning to a red sphere on top. In the center of the cloak is a spherical yellow button that holds the two sides together. This Dream Eater is known as the Majik Lapin.
Another is a stocky, armored Dream Eater with a large, wide crest on its head. It sports two long, elegantly curved horns above each of its eyes, as well as a third, much shorter horn on its nose. It has a short tail, four legs with three short claws on each foot, and a beak-like mouth. Its forelimbs are covered by two pauldrons and its hindquarters are also protected by armor. Both pieces of armor are decorated with spiral designs. Its body is covered with a number of spikes; there are six lining its head crest, four lining the top of its tail, one on each shoulder pauldron, and one on each of its cheeks. It has the Nightmare Dream Eater emblem between its two longest horns, on its forehead. The lower half of its head crest is cyan, while the top half is purple and decorated with orange circles. The crest is also decorated by a yellow symbol. Its body armor is primarily cyan and purple. Its two long horns are magenta at their bases and fade to violet toward their tips. They are anchored to its head by violet bases. The horn on its nose is orange with a violet tip. It has cyan legs, magenta knees, violet feet, and yellow claws. The two outermost spikes on its head crest and the spike at the base of its tail have orange bases and violet tips, while the rest of the spikes on the Dream Eater's body are magenta with violet tips. Its midsection is yellow, its face is metallic gray, and its eyes are red. This Dream Eater is known as the Cera Terror.
Another is a Dream Eater that resembles a dinosaur skeleton. Its made up of the bones of a tyrannosaurus rex, a stegosaurus, and ankylosaurus. Its body, such as the vertebrae, wishbone, skull, and metatarsals, is mostly grey, while dark red appears on the mandible and ribs. Connecting the skull to the mandible is a thick red ring with a small purple spike on both sides. The top of its head has orange punk-rock "hair" with purple tips. Just above the Nightmare Dream Eater emblem is a purple "mohawk". Beneath the wishbone are two mantis-like pincers in place of hands, shifting between purple, orange, green, grey, and purple for the main "claws". The legs, which have a large ring located on the femur. The femur also follows a similar color pattern, ending with orange and green phalanges sporting two purple toe claws, the larger of the two pointing outwards, with the smaller one pointing inward. Each side of the back bears four sets of stegosaurus plates fading from green to blue, two on the scapula, and three on the ilium. Three smaller purple plates can be located between the legs. On the end of the tail is an orange ankylosaurus club with five large red spikes scattered throughout. This Dream Eater is known as the Skelterwild.
Another is a Dream Eater is a cross between a duck and a goose. It has a lime green, which is primarily featured on the head, upper section of the wings, and its stomach mouth's tongue. Atop is head being two yellow flowers with purple stems. The beak is red but ends with a purple tip. The wings have three tips, in the center of each tip is an orange spot, and each tip transitions from purple to dark red. Its feet have a green sandal-like appearance, with three purple toes. The most prominent feature is the mouth in its stomach. The upper jaw transitions from indigo to purple and has the Nightmare Dream Eater emblem located in the center. The emblem is surrounded by four yellow spots, two on the body, and two more where the wings connect to the rest of the body. The dark red lower jaw connects the purple legs to the rest of the body. Inside the mouth is a green tongue. This Dream Eater is known as the Ducky Goose.
Another is a lion-like Dream Eater. It has a relatively lean body structure and a long tail that ends in a segmented tip. It has three large, curved claws on each of its four paws and two flat spikes on the outward sides of each of its legs. The Dream Eater's most striking feature is its large, stiff mane, which surrounds its entire head and trails onto its upper back. It has four short, sharp fangs in its mouth, a flat snout, and tall ears that point forward. Its triangular eyes are heavily outlined in black and feature odd markings resembling a stylized Eye of Horus. Its forelegs are decorated by spirals and ring shapes, while its hindquarters are spotted with large, solid circles. It has a gray-blue body with orange markings. Its paws and the base of its tail are pink, thought the tip of its tail is orange. The segments on its tail are violet with cyan lining, as are the spikes on its legs. Its mane is predominantly electric blue, but it fades from dark blue to pink toward its tips. It has a gray-blue face, though its lower jaw is electric blue, like its mane. Its nose is cyan, the bridge of its nose is pink, and its ears are pink at their bases, but shift to orange toward their tips. The Dream Eater's claws are yellow and its eyes are red. The Nightmare Dream Eater emblem is located on the section of its mane that covers its chest. This Dream Eater is known as the Aura Lion.
Another is a dragon-like Dream Eater. It has a pair of wings facing backwards down the body. Their feet are tipped off in a single claw rather than three, and the mouth being a beak. Their colorings are purple, black and dark red.
Another has the resemblance of the Ducky Goose, but has a dragonish appearance. Turquoise and red are the main colors of the Nightmare version's head, wings, eyes, horns, and chest tongue. Inside the mouth is a blue tongue. The top of its head in front of its horns has an orange bump on top. On its upper beak are two small purple horns. The top diamonds on its wings are blue, with the bottom ones being purple. The lower sections of the wings are purple, red, and orange, with small diamonds dangling from the flappers. The upper body is primarily purple with two red diamonds surrounding the Nightmare Dream Eater emblem. Two more red diamonds can be found on the sides of the body that connect to the wings. The lower body fades from pink to orange, where the primarily black and blue feet are sporting three talons each, with the inner talon being slightly longer than the outer talons. Split horizontally across the body is a dark red jagged mouth that hosts a turquoise tongue with a yellow tip. This Dream Eater is known as the Drak Quack.
And lastly, there's a Dream Eater that's the cross between a smilodon and a modern-day tiger. Green stripes and spots cover the Nightmare version's black body, with some additional green on the eyelids and blue on the nose. The face, feet, and underside, where the Nightmare Dream Eater emblem is located, is more grey in color. The ear-like horns and wrist talons are purple. Each foot has three hot pink claws. The end of its tail has an armor to it, and like the fangs, transitions from blue to purple and then magenta at the end. This Dream Eater is known as the Keeba Tiger.
The Dream Eaters ended up overwhelming the Keyblade wielders and the Pokémon, forcing them to retreat to the Pokémon Center, Luckily, the Nightmare Dream Eaters didn't chase them to the Pokémon Center. They were lucky to escape from the Nightmares, but they were shaken up by how powerful they have been. Sure, they had dealt with some powerful enemies in the past, but this was really odd.
"We were lucky to get back here in one piece. It's no wonder Wes, Rui, and Michael had a hard time with them, and not just because of the lack of sleep," Lea said.
"I know, and we're wide-awake," Leaf said.
"Well, our team came up empty, so how was it from your end?" Sora asked.
"No better than you, Sora," Elaine said.
"Vee," Maple said.
"We got nothing, too," Kris said.
"It's the same with us," May said.
"We came out empty-handed, too," Lucas said.
"All those Nightmares aren't just scary, but they're strong, too," Dawn said.
"It's probably from the nightmares they've been giving. Those Dream Eaters had to be getting their strength from somewhere," Lea said.
"What does that have to do with anything?" Ethan asked.
"A whole lot. Spirit Dream Eaters eats the bad dreams, and Nightmare Dream Eaters eats the good dreams. And the more dreams each one eats, the stronger they get. And judging by how it's been going on, it's clear as daylight that they'e eaten more than their fair share of nice dreams," Lea said.
"I hate to say it, but Lea's right. I don't know why and how I didn't notice it sooner. But it gets worse from here," Kairi said.
"How worse are we talking?" Roxas asked.
"Really worse. The longer the Nightmares stays in the real world, then it will be very hard to get them back into the realm of sleep. And if this goes on, unchecked, then the Nightmares will spread throughout the entire Sinnoh region, and then in a matter of days, the rest of the world. And then, no one will have any pleasant dreams at all and have nothing but nightmares forever," Kairi said, making everyone gasp in horror.
"Oh, that cannot be good," Chase said.
"Chu," Volt said.
"No, it won't. All those Nightmares will eat up everyone's dreams like it was an all-you-can-eat-buffet," Ethan said.
"Including us," Lyra added.
"Rill," Marill said, feeling scared.
"Well, it won't come down to that, because what Kairi just said gives us the reason to wrap this up and fast," Sora said.
"Pikachu," Pikachu said.
"The Heartless, Unversed, and Nobodies gave us a hard time before, but this is just as hard," Brendan said.
"If only we could figure out where they're coming from," Lyra said.
"Rill," Marill said.
"Maybe I have a clue," Ken said, stepping in. "Sorry to eavesdrop, but I might have something that might be very helpful to you."
"We're opened for anything at this point, Ken. What is it?" Ethan asked.
"I heard from one of the patrons saying that the Dream Eaters are coming from Fullmoon Island and Newmoon Island," Ken said.
"That narrows things down on where to look," Sora said.
"Fullmoon Island is said to be the home of Cresselia, right?" Naminé pointed out.
"Cresseila?" Kairi asked.
"Vee?" Angel asked.
"That's right. Darkrai can make nightmares while Cresselia can make pleasant dreams like the Dream Eaters can," Naminé confirmed as Kairi took out her Rotom Phone.
"Rotom Phone, I'll need the information on Cresselia, please," Kairi said. Her Rotom Phone complies with her request. The image shows a Pokémon that has a blue, swan-like body with a yellow underside. It has pink eyes, a dark pink, round tuft on its head, and a pointed, beak-like snout. There are yellow, crescent-shaped ornaments on the sides of its head that merge in the back. It has a pointed, tail-like protrusion on its rear. It has glowing, pink, ring-like wings on its sides and back. The wings on its sides are solid dark pink, while the wing on its back is larger and consists of three shades of pink. These wings, especially its back wing, release shining particles and undulate beautifully around the quarter moon. It has paw-like protrusions resting on its chest.
Cresselia, the Lunar Pokémon
Type: Psychic
Those who sleep holding Cresselia's feather are assured of joyful dreams. It is said to represent the crescent moon.
"So beautiful," Kairi said.
"Well, some of us will have to go to Fullmoon Island and the rest of us will head for Newmoon Island," Sora said.
"How is it going to go down?" Lucas asked.
"Yeah, who's going to which island?" Chase asked.
"Okay, Chase, Elaine, Brendan, May, Dawn, and Lucas are going with me, Riku, and Kairi to Fullmoon Island. The rest of you will head for Newmoon Island.
"We're each going to need a ship to get there, so it might not be so easy to get a ship to get us to those spots," Xion said.
"We're not going to get anywhere by not doing a thing about it, Xion," Lucas said.
"Xion might be right. But we won't know unless we try it. Is everybody clear on what to do?" Sora asked.
"Clear!" The group said.
"Good. Let's go. Until we get to the bottom of it, nobody fights any Dream Eaters," Sora said.
With that said, Sora, Kairi, Riku, Naminé, Roxas, Xion, Lea, Ash, Leaf, Ethan, Kris, Lyra, Brendan, May, Chase, Elaine, Lucas, Dawn, Pikachu, Angel, Eevee, Azurill, Xipak, Celeste, Marill, Volt, Maple, and Piplup left for the port as Wes, Rui, Michael, Tai, Matt, Sora T, Izzy, Mimi, Joe, TK, Kari, Davis, Ken, Yolei, Cody, Meiko, Amy, Takato, Henry, Rika, Ryo, Jeri, Kazu, Kenta, Suzie, Takuya, Koji, JP, Zoe, Tommy, Koichi, Little Mei, Guil, Mime Jr, and Munchlax stayed behind at the Pokémon Center.
When they got to the port, Naminé, Roxas, Xion, Lea, Ash, Leaf, Ethan, Kris, Lyra, Azurill, Xipak, Celeste, and Marill found a boat that is bound for Newmoon Island as Sora, Kairi, Riku, Brendan, May, Chase, Elaine, Lucas, Dawn, Pikachu, Angel, Eevee, Volt, Maple, and Piplup found a boat with a familiar face running it.
"Well, if it isn't it Sora, Kairi, Brendan, May, Chase, and Elaine. Fate has shown its kindness once again," Mako said.
"Hey, Mako. We didn't think we'd see you here," Sora greeted.
"You know this guy?" Lucas asked.
"You weren't with us back then. This is Mako Tsunami. He's a sailor we met on Dragonite Island a while back," May said.
"Whoa," Dawn said.
"These three I am not familiar with," Mako said.
"I'm Riku," Riku said.
"Vee," Eevee said.
"My name's Lucas," Lucas introduced.
"And I'm Dawn, and this is Piplup," Dawn introduced.
"Piplup," Piplup said. Mako looked right at the Penguin Pokémon and smiled.
"Such a fine-looking Pokémon you got there, Dawn. Piplup looks very seaworthy to me," Mako said.
"Thanks, that's real nice of you," Dawn said.
"Mako, we got a huge favor to ask you," Sora said.
"And what sort of favor are you asking?" Mako asked.
"Okay, we're heading for Fullmoon Island because of the situation going on here," Sora said.
"The thing is, everyone in Canalave City is having a series of nightmares. Everyone here thinks it's Darkrai causing it, but it was actually caused by creatures called Dream Eaters," Kairi said.
"I see. And you will need the power of Cresselia to undo these horrific nightmares, yes?" Mako asked.
"Yeah, that's the general idea," Chase said.
"And we need to get there as soon as possible," Kairi said.
"That's if it's not too much trouble," May said.
"Say no more, my friends. I will gladly take you to Fullmoon Island. We can begin departure at once," Mako said as Sora, Kairi, Riku, Brendan, May, Chase, Elaine, Lucas, Dawn, Pikachu, Angel, Eevee, Volt, Maple, and Piplup boarded Mako's boat and set off for Fullmoon Island.
As Mako's boat sailed toward Fullmoon Island, Sora and Kairi filled Mako in about their adventures in Sinnoh and about Lucas and Dawn being made the newest Keyblade wielders, leading up to the Dream Eaters.
"And that's just about it," Sora said.
"I see. I thought it was rather odd because I noticed some of the sailors looked sleep-depraved. Not only that, but I had heard Darkrai has begun a tad earlier than usual," Mako said.
"If something has happened to Cresselia, then we gotta hurry it up and help it," Riku said.
"Eevee," Eevee said.
"How much further is it to the island?" May asked.
"We should already be halfway there by now," Mako said.
The boat sailed toward Fulloon Island just as the sun was setting.
Over to Naminé, Roxas, Xion, Lea, Ash, Leaf, Ethan, Kris, Lyra, Azurill, Xipak, Celeste, and Marill, they arrived to Newmoon Island and they kept their eyes opened for any Nightmare Dream Eaters and so far, they hadn't seen any of them.
"No Dream Eaters around here," Naminé said.
"Not yet anyway," Lea said.
"We should get a move on. We wanna see them before they see us," Ash said.
Agreeing with Ash, they all nodded as they went off to find the source of the Nightmare Dream Eaters on Newmoon Island. As a safety precaution, Naminé, Roxas, Xion, Ash, Leaf, Ethan, Kris, and Lyra summoned their Keyblades as Lea took out his chakrams.
At the same time, Mako's boat arrived to Fullmoon Island and they hadn't seen any Dream Eaters around.
"No sign of the Nightmares, so we should be okay as long they don't show up," May said.
"I hope you're right, May. And I hope our luck won't run out for us like it did earlier," Elaine said.
"Keyblades out and eyes peeled," Sora said as he summoned his Kingdom Key and Starlight. Kairi summoned her Destiny's Embrace as Brendan, May, Chase, Elaine, Lucas, and Dawn summoned their Keyblades and held them tight. As they ventured through the island, they kept their eyes opened for any Nightmare Dream Eaters. "Okay, we stay together."
"Maybe, we could find Cresselia by having my Swinub sniffing a Lunar Wing," Dawn suggested.
"Do you have that?" Sora asked.
"Yeah, I do," Dawn said, taking out a curved feather. She took out a Pokéball and opened it. "Swinub, we're going to need your help in finding Cresselia, so how about you sniff this Lunar Wing?"
"Swinub!" Swinub said.
"Good thinking, Dawn," Chase said.
"Pikachu," Volt said.
Swinub sniffed the Lunar Wing and picked up the scent. The Pig Pokémon went on ahead.
"Swinub's got the scent," Elaine said.
"Let's follow him," May said.
Agreeing with May, they followed Swinub.
"That was an awesome idea, Dawn," Sora said.
"When it comes to tracking, Swinub's the best," Dawn said.
"Yeah, better than any dog Pokémon, that's for sure," Chase said.
They followed Swinub the rest of the way until they finally reached a shrine and they saw Cresselia, and it was injured.
"Guys, look! It's Cresselia! And she's hurt," Kairi said.
"Eevee!" Angel said.
"How could this have happened?" May asked.
"Who or what could have done this?" Chase asked.
Just then, several Nightmare Dream Eaters appeared and launched their attack.
"Does that answer your question?" Lucas asked.
"We gotta protect Cresselia from them," Dawn said.
"You're right. We gotta," Sora agreed. He then noticed a doorway as more Nightmare Dream Eaters came out from it. "I see it! That's gotta be how they're getting in!"
"With all these Nightmares getting in the way, it's going to be hard to get to it," Riku said.
"We gotta keep more from getting in the real," Kairi said.
On Newmoon Island, Naminé, Roxas, Xion, Lea, Ash, Leaf, Ethan, Kris, Lyra, Azurill, Xipak, Celeste, and Marill found the shrine of Darkrai, and they saw the Pitch-Black Pokémon fighting off a horde of Nightmare Dream Eaters by blasting them with a Dark Pulse.
"Look at that!" Xion said.
"Vee," Celeste said.
"It's Darkrai," Lyra said.
"And it's fighting off those Nightmares," added.
"Yeah, and there should be a doorway around here somewhere," Naminé said.
"Rill," Azurill said.
"Let's find it and shut it," Ash said.
With that said, the group looked around for a doorway until Ethan found the doorway and several Nightmare Dream Eaters came out from it.
"Found it!" Ethan said. The Nightmare Dream Eaters spotted them and knew what they were up to, so they had to stop the Keyblade wielders from closing their way in the real world. The Nightmare Dream Eaters then went after them.
"Here they come," Kris said.
"Fight them off! We can't let a single one make it off this island," Lea said.
Agreeing with Lea, they engaged the Nightmare Dream Eaters as they attacked.
Back on Fullmoon Island, Sora, Kairi, Riku, Brendan, May, Chase, Elaine, Lucas, Dawn, Pikachu, Angel, Eevee, Piplup, and Swinub fought hard against the Nightmare Dream Eaters. Swinub rammed into a Drill Sye, but it overwhelmed the Pig Pokémon greatly.
"Swinub!" Dawn gasped. Swinub gets back up and tries again, but the rhino-like Nightmare charged and struck Swinub. This causes the Pig Pok&323mon to evolve. "Swinub!"
"Swinub's evolving!" Riku said.
"Eevee!" Eevee said. Swinub has become a Piloswine. Dawn took out her Rotom Phone and scanned her newly evolved Pokémon.
Piloswine, the Swine Pokémon

Piloswine's entire body is covered with fur, which makes it hard to see, so it uses its nose to sense its environment instead.
Piloswine turned to the Drill Sye and charged with another Take Down. Piloswine rammed into the Drill Sye, destroying it. Piloswine does the same thing with the other Nightmare Dream Eaters. Kairi makes her way toward the doorway, taking advantage of the distraction, but the Dream Eaters caught on quickly. They rush in to try and stop her.
On the same time on Newmoon Island, Xion heads for the doorway and the Nightmare Dream Eaters caught on to her as well. The Dream Eaters moved in to stop her.
On both islands, Kairi and Xion held their Keyblades and aimed for the doorway as keyholes appeared on both. Beams of light shoot from the tips of the Keyblades as a locking sound is heard. Too late to stop Kairi and Xion from locking the doorway, all of the Dream Eaters that appeared in the real world began to be pulled in by some sort of force. At the Pokémon Center, Wes, Rui, Michael, and the DigiDestined saw the Nightmare Dream Eaters being pulled in, knowing they accomplished their mission. The Dream Eaters went through the two portals like it was a vacuum cleaner. The process went its course until the last of the Nightmares were returned to the realm of sleep.
On Fullmoon Island, Sora, Kairi, Brendan, May, Chase, Elaine, Lucas, and Dawn dismissed their Keyblades as soon as the doorway closed.
"Glad that's over," Chase said.
"It was thanks to Dawn's idea on having her Swinub smelling for Cresselia we were able to find that doorway," Kairi said.
"Eevee," Angel said.
"You're right. Dawn made it possible," Sora said.
"Thanks, and it was thanks to all of this, my Swinub evolved into a Piloswine," Dawn said.
"Piplup," Piplup said.
"Now that those Nightmares are gone, let's go help Cresselia while we can," Elaine suggested.
"Eevee," Maple agreed.
"Yeah," Sora also agreed. Kairi casts her cure spell, healing Cresseila of her injuries from the assault she endured from the Nightmare Dream Eaters.
"Cresselia, I'm begging you. Please help the people of Canalave City be freed from all of those nightmares," Kairi said.
With that said, Cresselia flew toward Canalave City and uses her powers to expel the nightmares from the people, giving them good dreams.
Both groups made it back to Canalave City and to have a pleasant sleep, especially Wes, Rui, and Michael. The preparations for the battle against Byron will come soon enough. Until then, let's let them enjoy their shut-eye. Sweet dreams.
