Seth drove them to Dean's house first. The car Rainbow had borrowed wasn't in the driveway. Dean jumped out of the car and ran up to the house. He found it unlocked and looked back nervously at Seth.
"I locked the door when we left," Dean said.
Seth pushed his way past Dean and entered the house first. If Rainbow for some reason was in there, Dean wouldn't be allowed a second alone with her.
"Rainbow?" Seth called.
They searched the house but she wasn't there.
"Her clothes is gone," Dean said.
"She must be back at my place then. I'll call you later when I've talked to her," Seth said.
"You're not going there alone," Dean said.
"I don't know who to trust right now. All I know is that she has a black eye and that you might be the reason for it," Seth said.
Dean sighed and pulled up his phone. He found a picture of him and Rainbow in bed together and showed it to Seth.
"I took this picture of us this morning before she left for work," Dean said. "Does it look like she has a black eye to you?"
Seth looked at the picture. Rainbow looked normal. She was smiling and looked happy.
"It's not from this morning," Seth said.
"Look at the date," Dean said.
Seth looked at the date and it was dated to today. It made no sense. He handed the phone back to Dean and scratched his beard.
"If I'm seeing things, I need you there with me," Seth said.
"Of course," Dean said.
"I'm starting to feel scared, Dean," Seth confessed.
"I'm here for you, Seth," Dean patted Seth's shoulder. "Let's get back to your place."
They got back out in the car and drove to Seth's house. His car wasn't there either. Someone had his car so that part of his story was true. They walked inside the house and looked around. No one was there.
"She was here. I swear. I'll prove it to you," Seth said.
Seth walked to his office with Dean following behind. He opened his laptop and pointed at the screen. They both looked at the security footage from last night where Rainbow showed up with a black eye.
"That makes no sense," Dean said.
"I told you," Seth said.
"But she was with me all night. I swear," Dean said.
"You're a heavy sleeper," Seth said.
"Do you think she snuck out and ran between our houses?" Dean asked.
"Maybe," Seth said.
"Why would she do that?" Dean asked.
"I don't know. I don't even know if I believe you yet. All I know is what happened here, and Rainbow was here all night," Seth said.
Dean shook his head and then took out his phone.
"I know I saved his address," Dean mumbled. "There. Found it. Let's go."
"Where are we going?" Seth asked.
"Rainbow forgot to log out of her facebook one day. Normally I don't go snooping but something told me to do so that day. There was a private message from a man that she clearly had chosen to ignore. Something about finding her and asking her how she was. I clicked on his profile and I'm dead sure he's her father. They look too much alike to not be related. I snooped around his profile and figured out where he lives. I think a part of me knew that one day I would need to see him. You know she's very guarded when it comes to her past and family. I always assumed she was abused at home but I'm not so sure anymore. All I know is that she was keeping secrets," Dean said.
Seth knew that was true. Rainbow never liked to talk about anything related to her family or how she was brought up.
"I don't even know where she grew up," Seth said.
"Me neither. And that's fucked up to think about when I live with her," Dean said. "I don't know anything about her. Something I've come to realize lately. Who the fuck is the person I chose to share my life with?"
"Only one way to find out," Seth said. "Get back in my car. Let's go visit papa."
