Ch 132 Trouble at Liberty Gardens
Castelia City, Liberty Garden
Off the coast of Castelia City, there sat a small Island with a Tower located at the center of it. "Legends said that a Powerful Pokemon that could grant anyone a guaranteed Victory possesses it." A red-haired Man said, reading up on the Data they have on the Island. "Heh, if we have this Pokemon in our Hands, then we can make up for what happened Years ago."
The Man wore a grey Suit with black Boots and Gloves, he wore a Vest with the Team Plasma Insignia. However, the Colors of the Shield were inverted from the original Insignia,
The Man was standing on a Dock after departing from the Black Speedboat that they used to get to the Garden. "Captain, we detect a Powerful Energy emitting from below the Lighthouse," One of the Grunts informed the Captain of the group.
The Captain of the Grunts turns to the group of (Including himself) Six former Team Plasma Grunts. He gave his orders to his group, "Secure the Garden, locate and find another entrance into the Lighthouse." He ordered the Grunts to stay with him.
"Sir," The Grunts quickly headed up the stone Stairwell, spreading throughout the Gardens.
The Captain of the Grunts proceeded to follow his Subordinates, heading to search for another way inside a well.
Castelia City,
N quickly exited the Hotel where they had been staying ever since he spotted Hilda and her Emboar rushing towards the Pier. He knew he wasn't seeing things when he saw Remnants of Team Plasma earlier,
"Hilda must be going after the Remnants of Team Plasma," N theorized that must be the reason why Hilda and her Partner were in a rush.
The Ability User saw Hilda's Pignite entering a Cabin on the Ferry. N went to the Ferry Toll where a Woman was checking how many Passengers had boarded the Ferry.
The Toll Woman looks at N, coming up to her in a huff. "E-Excuse me, but how much is the toll to board the Ferry?" The former King of Team Plasma asked sill huffing, ready to pay the amount.
"About Fifteen Pokedollars, Sir." The Toll Woman informed the green-haired trainer,
N nodded, took out his Wallet, and handed the Toll Money to the Woman. "Here," He said as the Woman took his Money.
The Toll Woman smiles, moving to the velvet rope and opening the way for him. "Please walk this way, Sir," She said, showing the way on board the Ferry to Liberty Garden,
N quickly boarded the Ferry, which was ready to depart at any given moment. Soon enough, the Ferry departed from the Pier, heading to Liberty Garden,
Just a few short Minutes later, Helena and Hermione (With permission from Irina) arrived late to the Pier. "We've missed the Ferry," Helena said, watching the Ferry heading to its destination.
"Why did you think your Brother went on that Boat?" Hermione asked, feeling strange having to say Brother to Helena.
"I'm not too sure, if memory serves me right, then that Ferry should be heading to Liberty Garden," Helena said, remembering what Professor Ceder told her when she came to the Pokemon World.
The bushy-haired Girl looks at Helena, "It's like Liberty Island in the States. Does it have a Statue like Lady Liberty?" Hermione asked, making that connection between Unova and New York.
Helena turns to Hermione, still holding her Partner in her Arms. "Somewhat, even they have similar Names. However, the Story about Liberty Island is different than what you know about Liberty Island." The black-haired Woman explains to her Friend, turning to her to give the background on the Garden.
"My Mentor, Professor Ceder, and Professor Juniper told me and my Friends in Unova that there's a Legend behind Liberty Garden," Helena said, walking back to the Hotel with Hermione and Piplup, who listened to the Story behind Liberty Garden.
"The Story goes that there was a Man who had a Pokemon that could grant anyone who possesses him would be a guaranteed Victory." Helena retold the Story behind Liberty Island to her Friend and her Partner. "This Man to protect his Friend built a Lighthouse on the Coast of Castelia City in the Early Days. It is said that Pokemon remain on Liberty Garden up to the Modern Day." She finished the Legend of Liberty Garden.
The black-haired Woman looks at the young Pokemon trainer and her Pokemon. "Well? What do you think about the Legend of Liberty Island, Hermione, Piplup?" Helena asked the Two, curious about their thoughts.
Hermione and Piplup were amazed by the Legend behind Liberty Garden. "Wow, that was completely different from what I expected." She commented,
"Lup," The Penguin Pokemon nodded, unsure what his Partner was referring to.
"What were you expecting, Hermione, if you don't mind?" Helena asked, curious about what exactly her Friend was thinking.
The bushy-haired Girl looks at Helena, hearing the Professor's question. "Well, to be honest, I half expected it was something similar to the Story behind the Statue of Liberty," Hermione answered honestly as they entered the crossing Road to the Hotel. "Since this World bears much resemblance to our own, then I just assumed that was the case."
Helena heard Hermione and didn't blame her, since she's considered to be the brightest Witch in Hogwarts in their generation. It's only right for her to see the context clues in everything. "I see, well, that's a reasonable thought. But remember, Hermione, that if something looks familiar here to the one we know, they're completely different." She advised her Friend what to do further on.
"I see, I understand Helena," Hermione said, appreciating the advice that Helena gave on how to go around in the Pokemon World.
The bushy-haired Girl looks at Helena, halting her steps. "Helena, I'm curious. How exactly do you know a lot about Liberty Garden?" Hermione asked her Friend, curious about her.
Helena turns to Hermione, answering her question before going back to the Hotel. "Well, as you can see, I'm Older than the last Time you saw me." The black-haired Woman explains, "During those years, I've traveled with Friends I've met. But I also accepted an Apprenticeship with Irina's Brother, Adam, where we traveled around the world."
"Wait, you traveled around this World, Helena?" Hermione asked, rather surprised by what she said. "So that's why you're knowledgeable about things here."
"Piplup," Piplup commented, seeing why Helena was a Professor.
Regardless of what Helena has experienced, one thing remains. "Helena, what are we going to do about N? He knows that we're going to leave for Blueberry Academy soon." Hermione asked, wondering what they were going to do. "
The black-haired Woman took the Time to think. "N wouldn't suddenly go off on his own without a good reason to. That said…" Helena frowns, remembering back on what Adam and N talked about before coming back to Unova. 'Is it possible that N might be going to Liberty Garden because of the Legend there? Most likely, he saw the Remnants of Team Plasma heading on that Ferry…' She ponders to herself, trying to understand her Brother's goal.
Hermione remains silent, seeing her Friend in deep thought. 'This is strange. Helena wasn't to be that deep in thought…maybe what she experienced has during her travels here.' The young trainer said to herself, seeing a new side of Helena she hadn't seen before.
Piplup remained comfortably in Hermione's Arms before he spotted an auburn Woman wearing a White Shirt and green skirt. "Lup?" He wiggled his the bushy-haired Girl's Arms, gaining her attention.
"Piplup? What's the matter-"
"Hmm? Helena, is that you?" Both Girls stopped, looking up at Professor Aurea Juniper standing at the Hotel's Entrance. "Helena, it is you!" She exclaims with a bright smile,
Helena smiles softly, seeing her Mother Figure after so long. "Helena, do you know her?" She looks at Hermione, curious about this auburn Woman before them.
Helena could only nod in response, leading Hermione to the Professor. "Of course I do, Hermione. She's Professor Aurea Juniper, Unova's Lead Pokemon Professor and the one responsible for handing out Pokemon to starting Pokemon trainers." She explained, approaching the Professor.
"Professor Juniper, it's good to see you again!" Helena went over, embracing her Mother Figure.
Aurea did the same, embracing her now fellow Professor. "The same as well, it's far too long, my dear." She held Helena back, taking a good look at her. "Now, let me take a good look at you. You've grown a bit, and look so much beautiful as well," She commented like a caring Mother.
"Really? I feel like I haven't changed from the last Time I was in Unova." Helena commented on what Aurea said about her. "Though I do grow a bit, but beside that, I feel the same as usual." She added to her statement.
Aurea smiled warmly at Hermione as she noticed her standing nearby. "Oh, hi there! Are you here with Helena?" Professor Juniper asked the young Pokémon trainer, her voice cheerful and inviting.
"Um, yeah," Hermione replied to the Auburn-haired Woman.
Helena smiles, introducing Hermione to her fellow Professor. "Professor Juniper, this is Hermione Granger, an Old Friend of mine back Home." She introduced her Friend to her Mother Figure before doing the same to Hermione, "Hermione, Piplup, this is Professor Aurea Juniper. I think I said this before…" She said, feeling excited in seeing her again.
The bushy-haired Girl slightly inclined her Head, greeting the Pokemon Professor. "It's nice to meet you, Professor Juniper. Helena told me a lot about you," Hermione respectfully said,
"Piplup!" Piplup raises his Flipper, greeting the Professor.
"Did she now? I do hope something good," Aurea giggles, couldn't help but to joke around. This caused Helena to smile, Hermione also smiled a bit, seeing how happy her Friend was. "In any case, Helena, have you seen Hilda by chance? She said she saw some what seemed to be the remains of Team Plasma Members heading to the Pier."
"Bianca went ahead, looking for her, but she didn't find her." Professor Juniper stated, worried for her Two Assistance.
Hermione blinks, looking at the black-haired Woman. "Helena, do you think the reason your Brother went on that Ferry is…"
Helena nodded, finding what Hermione suggested to be a reasonable explanation on why N suddenly left. "Yes, I do believe you're right, Hermione." She said, acknowledging her Friend's assumption. "Professor Juniper, I think Hilda went on a Ferry that'll take her to Liberty Garden. I think N also went there because of the same thing."
"Liberty Garden…" Aurea ponders before realizing what that entails. "Helena, surely you remember the Legend of Liberty Garden is, right?" She asked, testing the young Professor of her knowledge.
"Of course, if Team Plasma is involved, then they must be going to get the Pokemon that lives there," Helena said, putting the context clues together.
Hermione couldn't help but say what was on her mind regarding the situation. "Um, if I could say something." The Two Professors turned their attention to Hermione, wanting to speak. "About this Team Plasma group and the others, are we really sure that they're after the Pokemon living in Liberty Garden? It's just a Legend, a way to gain Tourist, right?"
Aurea smiles at Hermione, knowing she has so much to discover. "Oh, Hermione, dear, there's so much for you to learn! You see, many of the Legends in our World are actually real," She says warmly to the young trainer. "Just a few Years ago, right here in Unova, we got to experience the retelling of the Legends of the Twin Heroes, with the former King of Team Plasma teaming up with Reshiram against Hilda and Zekrom."
"No, that can't be true," Hermione said in disbelief, she then turned to Hermione with Piplup, wanting to know if the Professor's Words were true. "Did that really happen, Helena?" She asked,
The young Professor only nodded, confirming what was said to be true. "It is, if you go and ask around the People of Unova, then they'll say the same thing," Helena said to a shocked Hermione. "In fact, I'm pretty sure there were News Broadcasts of the event as well."
Shaking her Head, the young Professor looks at her Mother Figure, addressing the current issue. "In any case, Professor Juniper, if Team Plasma really is going after Victini, then we have a problem," Helena stated,
"Agreed," Professor Juniper said, understanding the risks if the Remnants of Team Plasma retrieved the Mythical Pokemon.
Hermione held Piplup, also understanding the direness in this situation. "Then what are we going to do, Helena, Professor?" She asked, wondering what the Plan was. "We can't exactly go and stop this group on our own."
"We're not, we're going to get some help," Helena said, knowing exactly who can help them.
Liberty Garden,
The Ferry was approaching the small Island off the Coast of Castelia City. Stepping on the balcony of the Hilda walks out from the Ferry's Hall, still on he search for the remnants of Team Plasma. "I thought I saw them entering this Ferry…"
Loud stomping noises came behind the Pokemon trainer. Rmboar approached his trainer after completing his search around the bottom Passenger Area of the Ferry. "Emboar!" The Fire/Fighting-type Pokemon called out to Hilda.
"You didn't find anything either, Emboar?" The brunette trainer asked her Partner,
"Emboar," The Mega Fire Pig Pokemon replied, feeling his Partner's Hand petting his head.
Hilda smiled at Emboar, appreciating her Partner's Hand in helping her search, "Don't feel bad, Emboar. Team Plasma Members are very good at hiding, especially when we face them." The brunette trainer said, comforting her Partner, who was disappointed that he didn't find those Team Plasma Remnants.
The brunette trainer, understanding her Partner's frustration, "Don't worry, Emboar. We'll find them before we arrive at Liberty Garden…" Hilda pondered about their options once they arrived at the Port of the Garden.
"Maybe we should head to the Lighthouse before the remains of Team Plasma get to it," Hilda said to herself, sharing her thoughts with Emboar. She looks at the Duel-type Pokemon, wanting to hear his opinion. "What do you think, Emboar?"
"Boar!" The Mega Fire Pig Pokemon nodded, agreeing with his Partner regarding the Plan.
Hilda heard his Partner speaking his Mind, lifting Two Fingers indicating that he agreed to the Second Plan she came up with. "I see, so we should go to the Lighthouse and find Victini. Alright, thanks, Emboar." She appreciated his Words.
The Fire/Fighting-type Pokemon nodded, following whatever Hilda was planning as they encroached on Liberty Garden.
Unbeknownst to the Pokemon and his trainer, N was hidden away from the Eyes of Hilda and her Emboar. However, he couldn't help but listen to their conversation.
N was also sure that he saw some former Remnants of Team Plasma going on board the Ferry. "Strange, I was sure I'd saw some Team Plasma Members here…" He said, thinking about a possible explanation why Hilda hadn't encountered any former Members of team Plasma.
Then, a thought came across the former King of Team Plasma's Mind. "Most likely, there's an Ability User who can conceal their and the others' presence…" The green-haired trainer said, aware that there were a lot of Ability Users in the Team Plasma rankings.
However, there's only one Person that fits that description of hiding their Presence. "It's mostly him, but he's not the one to be involved with any Team Plasma movements. Only information…why would he be heading to Liberty Garden?" N asked himself, trying to figure out what the Remnants of Team Plasma were up to.
While pondering to himself, N quickly noticed that the Ferry has reached the Island's Pier. -ZZZ- Attention all Passengers, we're approaching Liberty Garden's Pier. Please be sure that you have your belongings on you before you depart. -ZZZ- The Ferry Captain informed he Passengers of his Ferry Ship.
"Come on, Emboar, let's get ready to leave the Ship," Hilda said to her Partner, to which N quickly picked up. N made his way away from the Halls, trying to hide himself from the brunette Pokemon trainer.
As Hilda and her Emboar entered the Hallway, N made himself scarce, not wanting to cause a misunderstanding between him and Hilda. The main reason is because the Remnants of Team Plasma is somewhere on the Boat and his Past affiliation would complicated things.
Walking the Hall, the brunette trainer halted her steps, turning her Head to the back. "Was there som-" Hilda asked, thinking there was someone who was just here a moment ago.
"Emboar." Hilda turns back to her Partner, hearing her Partner calling for her.
The brunette Woman looks at the Window, seeing the Ferry has already docked at Liberty Garden's Pier. "Oh, sorry, Emboar I thought I saw someone that was just here." Hilda said to her Partner.
Emboar looked at the Hallway, trying to see what her trainer was seeing. The Fire/Fighting-type Pokemon saw and sensed nothing other than them. "Emboar." He shook his Head, indicating that there was no one there.
"Huh, I guess I was just seeing things," Hilda commented, shaking her Head to clear her mind. "Anyways, Emboar, let's quickly get off the Ferry and get to the Lighthouse before Team Plasma gets to it."
"Boar," Emboar nodded, letting his Partner head out First as he followed close behind.
Once out of view, N came down from the Stairs with Zoroark beside him. "Thank you, my Friend, for hiding my presence." The former King of Team Plasma stated, appreciating the assist there.
Zoroark merely nodded, happy to be of assistance to his Friend/Partner.
"We need to find out what Team Plasma is up to, being on this Island doesn't sit right with me," N said to his Friend, walking down to the bottom of the Stairs. He turns to his Partner, needing to protect the Pokemon that lives here." The green-haired trainer informed Zoroark.
The Dark-type Pokemon nodded, following his Friend/Partner outside of the Ferry. Both of them stood outside at the Ferry's Balcony, observing the Pier of Liberty Garden, checking over the Area before leaving the Ferry. "Hilda said that she saw Remnants of Team Plasma boarding this Ferry. I also saw them back at the Hotel boarding the Ferry too-"
Zoroark barks, seeing something moving across the Stone Pier.
N looks at where his Friend/Partner was looking. He then saw a speck of dust flying in the Wind. Normally, anyone would dismiss it, however, N was familiar with every Team Plasma's Ability Users and saw them personally, "There, that's him." He said, immediately taking action,
Zoroark followed his Partner/Friend, following his Plan.
Back on the Mainland, inside the Hotel at Castelia City. Helena sat down in the private Room with both Professor Junipers, Ezekial, Gardevoir, Paulo, Servine, Bianca, Irina, Hermione, and Piplup.
Upon returning to the Hotel, a few more Schools have arrived at the Hotel, awaiting the Time to go to Blueberry Academy. Most Unovan Schools arrived as well, but those who were near the Academy (Aspera City's Trainer School).
Regardless, Bianca was waiting for Aurea to return to the Hotel. However, when she saw Helena accompanying Professor Juniper upon returning.
Bianca has matured a lot, instead of being a Rookie trainer who made mistakes. She is now a young Researcher with an orange Jacket, green Pants, a Beret, red Glasses, and a short white Dress.
The young Blonde Woman immediately hugged Helena, feeling like it was Ages since she last saw the young Professor.
As much as Helena wanted to catch up with Bianca, there was a pressing issue they needed to deal with. After a quick talk with Irina, halting the trip to Blueberry Academy for a few Hours, Helena, Bianca, and Professor Juniper proceeded to go with their plan for help.
"Hey, Bianca, how certain is it that Burgh might be available to help us?" Helena asked, being a few Years since she'd seen the Bug-type Gym Leader. "It's been a while since I've seen him."
Bianca smiles, answering the black-haired Professor's question. "Oh, he's definitely going to help us when we ask, Ellie." The blonde trainer stated, "Burgh is pretty much the same Person from the last Time you saw him."
"I know it's been some Time since you've seen Burgh and pretty much everyone else, Helena," Aurea said to Helena, assuring her that she had nothing to fear. "But everyone is pretty much the same. So be yourself when we arrive at the Castelia City Gym," The Unovan Professor said, confident that Helena could do it.
"Yeah, there's nothing to worry about," Helena said, having confidence now that she has plenty of Years of experience as a trainer and now a Mother. However, one thing was itching her Mind. "But one thing worries me, though…" She said, causing the Two to look at her.
"What is it, Ellie?" Bianca asked, curious what it was.
Helena looked back at the way they came from, her Mind was on Hermione. A new Pokemon trainer who's yet to experience a Pokemon Journey is being thrust into the issues of Team Plasma and their extreme Ideals. "I'm just worried about Hermione, she hasn't encountered anything like Team Plasma before." She said, knowing how capable they are.
"I see…well, as long as you're around, she'll be alright," Bianca said, trusting in herself that Helena could help Hermione traverse through this.
Back at the Hotel, Hermione was told to stay with the Students since this was an Adult Business. She protests at First, but soon sees reason when Helena convinces her that they'll be returning soon with help.
Hermione sighed, looking at Piplup, who sat next to her on a chair. "Lup? Piplup," The Water-type Pokemon asked what was wrong, worried for the bushy-haired Girl.
"Hmm? Oh, sorry, Piplup. I'm just…disappointed that I wasn't able to accompany Helena to the Castelia City Gym. Whatever that is," Hermione said, not sure what a Gym was. "I just wish I could help, somehow."
"Lup," Piplup came down from the Chair, placing his Flippers on her Partner's Lap.
Unbeknownst to Hermione or Piplup, Paulo stood near the Pillar of the Hotel, curious about Hermione and her relationship with Helena and N ever since they wanted to speak to her privately.
