Chapter 7: The Appearance of the Allies
Deep in space a ship was flying around with seven passengers aboard.
"Decca notify me when we arrive at the last known location of the Dark Fortress." said a young man with brown hair with blonde highlights.
"Affirmative Andros, I will sound the alarm when we are close to the destination." Decca said.
"Very well I shall go join the others." Andros said still getting use to having a full team again.
"Andros you seem to be emotional when it comes to sharing thoughts and spending time with your teammates. Why do you not share your past with them?" Decca summarized then ended with a question.
"Decca my past is neither their nor your concern." Andros said defensively.
"I think it would be in your best interest to explain what could happen, I speak from experience, I was once a warrior of light until i was cursed by none other than Mistress Vile. Ninjor and Dulcea saw to her demise but not before she cast the spell that made me what I am today and separated siblings. I like Zordon am stuck here for an eternity." Decca explained.
"Your part of the Eltarian strike force.?" Andros asked shocked at learning who was some what part of his team.
"You didn't know the rebels commissioned this ship for your team and did you ever wonder why they never sent any assistance?" Decca asked with a twinge of a giggle in her voice.
"Now I really should find the others they need to know why I am the way I am as their leader it is my respectability they may come across." Andros explained just before taking off to find the rest of his team.
The other members of the team were sitting around the cafe style table eating the breakfast that Carlos and Cassie put together. As they were eating Ashley noticed Andros enter the galley out of the corner of her eye.
The conversation halted as they gave him their attention, sitting down with them they ate as a team, the conversation quickly resumed.
"There are some things you should be aware of since you all have joined this team, you are not the first to use the powers but that doesn't mean that your not worthy or that I don't want you here. The team i was part of originally were my friends people I went through training side by side. I also watched them perrish because of this battle, I vowed to never allow that to happen again." Andros explained blankly starring at the table.
"I understand that your trying to protect us and all but you can't act like we are made of glass either." TJ said
"I'm honestly not trying to, maybe you would understand better if I show you." Andros said before he stood up and gestured for them to follow.
Together the group walked out of the galley headed for the restricted area. As they walked the four started wondering why they were going this way.
"Andros what are we doing?" Carlos asked
"Just come in here and I will explain everything, I'll start by explaining what this place is and why it is restricted. My first team was chosen to battel the evil forces lead by the evil maligore. Years ago he was sealed off on an island until the dreaded pirate divatox released him from his prison in hopes of becoming his queen. He repaid her by destroying her upon his release. His return to the thrown of the Empire of Evil, he ordered Astronima to attack the planets that followed the Order of Light. This prompted the people to assembled a fighting force, with their connection to the planet Eltar the Order of Light established a connection to the morphin grid allowing those who are worthy access to unlimited power." Andros explained the history of the power they each possess.
"So there are more of us?" TJ questioned
"Yes all over a few farther out some closer than you think." Andros replied
" You saif you would also explain what this area is restricted." Ashely said
"Ah, right this is normally just a storage room but for now it is where our sixth and final teammate is recovering in a cryorejuvenation station I want him to wake up somewhere familiar." Andros stated just before the alarms filled the air.
"We have trouble lets go guys." Carlos said.
The group rushed to the main control room of the megaship, once they reached the control room Andros asked "Decca what seems to be the problem?"
"This was the last know location of the Dark Fortress." Decca explained causing them all to look at Andros
"Why are we looking for the Dark Fortress?" TJ asked nervously
"Decca can you scan the area for any power level increases or decreases please?" Andros asked then turned to TJ and explained
"We are searching for the Dark Fortress because it hasn't been detected in a while and how long have we ever went without a battle?" Andros asked
"Andros there was a power level increase followed by a power level decrease to nothing but the time isn't clear." Decca informed
"Where did it go?" Andros, Carlos, and Ashley asked as TJ and Cassie rush to the controls to fine tune the scan by time and power level working together they were able to bring up a video of a strange figure appearing on the balcony of the Dark Fortress with in moments he and the Fortress disappeared.
"Andros i think you need to see this!" TJ said replaying the video for his fellow ranger.
"Hey wait freeze the video, Decca scan video playback." Ashely said
"Scanning that is a vile being it appears he was offering something because once he leaves the Dark Fortress quickly follows." Decca explained
"Where did they go?" Carlos questioned
"Master Vile is the father of Rita Repulsa, Rito, and Lord Impaggo. If they are gathering forces, I would say that would mean they are preparing for war against the rangers of Earth." Decca said stunning the Astro Rangers momentarily.
"Well if the evil forces can join together then so can the power rangers." Andros said as he sat down in front of the main controls.
"Decca set a course for Earth, then get me Terra Venture on screen." Andros commanded sounding like the leader he was before the tragedy.
Unseen by all but one person Ashley was watching and enjoying Andros's take chare demeanor.
Far deeper in space there was a space station orbiting through the darkness of space looking for planets that may be inhabitable. In the control room of the space station sat a young man with dark hair around him were four others two male two female. They were in here to answer the call from the Astro megaship Mach 1."
"Leo the call will be ready shortly we needed to move a little closer to strengthen the signal." the commander announced over the intercom.
"Alright please let me know when we are in range." Leo said
"Actually, we are moving into range as we speak." the commander said
Moments later Andros and his team appeared on the viewing screen.
"Andros how are things on your side of the galaxy?" another dark-haired male asked
"Quiet... a little too quiet if you know what I mean Kia." Andros replied.
"Yeah, we haven't been attacked in days. I'm beginning to wonder if Trakeena and her forces have given up." Leo said
"We are headed for earth; we found a scan showing the Dark Fortress follow Master Vile to the moon." Cassie informed
"We can't bring the whole colony with us, but we can meet you halfway besides I think we found something Zahne might be interested to see." Damon said
"We will meet you on Earth, just turn on your signal so we know where to go." Kia said just before ending the transmission.
"Kia what are you doing, Damon just told them we could meet them we would meet them halfway, why did you say we would meet them on Earth." Leo asked.
"Because my research has led me to discover some promising footage about Astronema." Kia informed.
"What?" Kendrix asked
"I was in the lab trying to find anything that could help us against Trakeena and her forces when I somehow hacked into the Dark Fortress database. While I was in there I found footage showing Astronima battling something or possibly having a battle within herself." Kia explained
"Well I say we power up and get to Earth." Leo said as he stepped forward and initiated the morphing sequence.
The group then called for there Jet Jammers traveling to the blue & green marble known as Earth.
Meanwhile on Earth Miami, FL
"Kimberly you must work hard and dedicate most of your time to nailing your routine in order to make the nationals and Olympic teams." Coach Schmit explains as the two stood in the gym.
"I understand that coach and I'm willing to put in the work I have a dream that i plan to achieve, I just miss my friends more than i thought I would." Kimberly explained as she started to tear up.
"Calm down, it is completely normal to miss those close to you because you are far away." Schmit sympathies.
"Is there anyway I could go see my boyfriend he lives with his grandfather and brother across town and I could be back before curfew?" Kimberly asked
"I'm sure we could arrange that while I find you transportation why don't you shower and change, but I do hope this helps you get your mind back on task." Coach Schmit stated.
"I'm sure seeing him will help me cope better with being so far away from my family and friends." Kimberly said before she went to the Lockeroom to shower.
About fifteen minutes later she returned from the locker room to find coach Schmit waiting for her.
"The cab is out front when you are ready, the trip will be covered by the training facility I do hope you have a nice time and return ready to train as well as I've seen you practice before." Coach Schmit said as he gestured for the door.
Meanwhile back on the Megaship
Andros is explaining the connection to the other Astro Rangers after their communication with the lost galaxy team. Everyone is gathered in the main control room of the Astro Megaship.
"I need to explain the powers you are connected to, they actually connects us all together in ways I'm sure humans have never thought possible." Andros explained
"What do you mean?" Cassie asked
"Well you know how I can move objects when I focus on it enough?" Andros answered with a question of his own
"Yeah!" they all said in unison.
"It will be like that and other ability's may follow!" he informed the stunned group
Before anyone could utter another word, the sirens filled the air.
"Decca what's happening?" TJ asked
"The sensors indicate that the cryoregenerater has stated thawing at an accelerated rate." Decca informed.
This caused the five of them to rush to where the sixth member of their team lay resting.
"What do we do?" Ashley asked
"There is nothing we can do." Andros stated
Meanwhile on the moon
"Goldar, Morphox take a horde of tengu, and attack Angel Grove" Zedd ordered
Once they touched down in the middle of Angel Grove business district they began blasting every building in sight. Tengu chased citizens down the street while Goldar blasted cars until they exploded. Morphox took the time to become a duplicate of Goldar then started throwing objects nearest to him. In a matter of minutes, the business district looked like a cyclone rolled right through it.
Sirens blared however delayed at the command center
"Aye yie yie, what's going on now?" Alph-5 asked as he pushed buttons on the console.
"It appears a monster and Goldar are attacking the business district, contact the rangers." Zordon bellowed
Up on the moon same time
Robonna, Impaggo,Vile, and Rita were keeping the time delay spell working all from different parts of the palace.
Juice Bar same time
Jason, Zack, Rocky, and Adam were all sparring together when their communicators beeped
"Been so long since we heard these I thought maybe we caught a break." Rocky said
"Not anymore, come on." Jason said slipping into his old role once again, finding a secluded area Jason answered his mentors call.
"Go ahead Zordon." he said into his communicator
"Rangers teleport to the command center immediately." Zordon said
Billy's lab same time
After securing his friendship with Justin the two spent time going over some notes for the up coming science test. Then they sat down to play some Mario kart. After four rounds of best two out of three Billy finally admitted defeat.
Shortly after that they heard a vehicle pull up and the engine cut off.
"Must be my dad, I hope he brought nutritious replenishment. I'm famished." Billy said as they both heard Justin's stomach growl.
"Yeah that makes two of us, I better head home." Justing said
"To what eat alone?" Billy asked as the door opened and his dad called for him, the two walked in to find Nathanial Cranston holding three large pizza boxes.
"Figured you were working on a project or studying for a test so I got two pizzas for you and who ever else is here.
At the mall same time
The girls were just about to get up from the lunch table when communicator beeped. Quickly finding a secluded spot off to the left of the cafe Aisha answered Zordan's call.
"Go ahead we read you." she said
"Teleport to the command center immediately." Zordon bellowed.
"On our way." Tanya replied before looking around then pressed the button to teleport to the command center.
Cranston house same time
Billy and Justin had finished off a whole pizza and were getting ready to dig into the second one when their communicators beeped thankfully they were in the lab.
Lifting his wrist Billy answered "Yes Zordon?"
"Teleport to the command center Immediately" Zordon stated
"Affirmative" Billy and Justin said in unison, just before teleporting away
Sametime in Trini's bedroom
Trini had just finished talking with Kimberly when her communicator beeped.
"Yes Zordon." Trini said
"Your needed at the command center immediately" Zordon informed
"On my way." Trini said just before she teleported
The rangers arrived at the command center and are quickly shown to the viewing globe. they watched as tengu attack the citizens, Goldar tossed cars and the monster that resembled Goldar wash trashing the buildings.
"We have to stop this." Aisha stated
"I can't give you any details about the monster except his power levels are the highest we have ever seen." Zordon explained
"We have to do what we can this is our home they will not destroy it while we just sit back and do nothing." Trini said with determination.
"Go and may the power protect you." Zordon said
The rangers morph and teleport out to the business district only to find it in shambles no monster in site. They spot a news reporter packing up her van. Listening closely they overhear " I can't believe the rangers didn't show up to stop this attack." said the reporter
"We need to teleport back to the command center before she spots us." Tanya whispered.
The rest of the team quietly agreed and they teleported back. Upon landing in the command center Trini stepped forward "Zordon there was nothing attacking when we got there everything was destroyed already there was a news reporter packing up so before she spotted us we teleported back here." she explained fear evident in her voice.
"Well that means our sensors have been blocked or somehow delayed, I shall speak with our allies about this new development, together we will figure a way around this imposition. Return to your homes and keep our guard up we can't allow this to happen again." Zordon stated.
Meanwhile with Dulcea and Ninjor
The two were watching the events unfold in real time not able to interfere without breaking the other they made when they became guardians of the power.
"We can only answer a call for assistance remember." Dulcea reminded as Ninjor stood up after watching another building collapse.
"What is taking them so long, why hasn't Zordon called them into battle yet?" Ninjor questioned in succession as the destruction continued.
Moments later after downtown was nearly destroyed and the villains return to the lunar palace, the rangers finally appeared only to disappear seconds later.
"We must speak with Zordon, there must be a reason for the delayed response." Dulcea stated in hopes there was not more to this new development.
Suddenly there was a flash of blue and Zordan's face appeared on the wall.
Once the rangers left Zordon waisted not time contacting his allies for a Counsil of light meeting. Then he called Trey of Triforia, finishing his calls was Agnus of Aquitar. After calling the remaining members of the Order of Light he went to his secret chamber in the lower levels of the command center completely undetectable when he had settled in he used his mind to channel the wall of the temple of power. Lights flickered and a flash of blue lights indicated his arrival.
"Zordon how is it possible that you are here?" Dulcea asked
"I am not physically here I am not at liberty to explain where I am all I can tell you is the command center has been compromised we will need to channel the morphin grid to other suitable locations until we are sure the command center is safe once again." Zordon explained
"Who could have that kind of power?" Ninjor questioned his former teammate/leader
"A group I fear have already been reawakened they are the skeletal structure of everything evil and if all three are ever in the same place I fear the twelve rangers fighting them would be the same as tossing an injured deer in a lions den." Zordon informed his fellow guardians of the power.
"You're referring to the true evil alliance not the one Zedd believes he is part of?" Dulcea asked.
"Yes the Trio of Destruction, each team that I have led or mentored has come across a member or two, I haven't seen any of them for a very long time." Zordon said his eyes showing emotions he thought were locked away long ago.
"Don't blame yourself brother, you did everything you could." Ninjor said
"They turned half of our team into monsters, worse than monsters cause even if we destroy the Trio our teammates are never coming back" Zordon said loosing control of his emotions, he disappeared from the wall.
Meanwhile in Florida
Kimberly had reached Mr. Trueheart's house she thanked the driver before getting out of the vehicle. Walking up to the front door, she went to knock when the door suddenly opened and David was walking out, stepping aside Kimberly allowed him to fully exit the house.
"Good afternoon Kimberly I presume that your here to see my brother?" David asked
"Yes I was hoping he could cheer me up I'm feeling a little homesick." Kimberly said
"Well he should be here soon, why don't you go ahead inside, and sit down." David suggested
Kimberly entered the house to find Sam coming in from the sliding glass door off the patio.
"Hello Kimberly please come in I had a feeling we would be seeing you today, we have hamburgers and some other sides for dinner.
"Is there anything I can do to help?" Kimberly asked
About that time they heard a vehicle pull up a muffled greeting between the brothers followed by another vehicle leaving. Tommy waisted no time getting to the front porch, the second he caught a glimpse of the petite brunette he quietly put down his bag stealthily approached her quickly grasping her shoulders only to spin her around "Hello beautiful" before placing a kiss on her lips.
