On the East side, Pixie put multiple lizard men into a sleep spell. "Okay, they're all taken out".

"And I took care of surveillance", Orlando stated.

"Wait, how did he get in Finale's tower?" Black Cat asked.

Mysterio laughed, "Lizard men left their shed skins and…".

"The details aren't important", Ghost Spider cut in as she went through the vents with White Fox, they stopped by the newsroom where Orlando was and dropped in.

"Right on time", the man said as he threw the last unconscious lizard man down the chute. "Put these on".

Forty-Eight Hours ago

"So here's the plan, Finale has certain areas that hold power onto her forcefield", Orlando explained.

Finale used special circuit chips that powered a forcefield around her tower. Those areas were heavily guarded as well and surveillance cameras were everywhere. That wouldn't be a problem if someone skilled in stealth could sneak into the tower.

"That's me!" Ghost Spider said proudly. Black Cat also volunteered.

A distraction and a surprise attack against all the guards of those said areas were also required. White Fox volunteered to use her special hypnotism on the lizard men. Pixie and Mortis should be in charge of the surprise attack.

Once most guards are knocked out, it will be time to sneak the biggest member into the laboratory where all the lizard men are being transformed.

Then Mysterio and White Fox pull a…double diva diversion?

"Really?" Orlando deadpanned at Ghost Spider.

"What? Isn't that what it is? Don't you guys know Brandon Rodgers?" Ghost Spider said in defense, everybody just stared at her as if she was an idiot. Only White Fox was laughing.

Carrying on…someone will have to lure Finale's acolytes away so that Ghost Spider takes her out.

Present

Ghost Spider appeared before Finale in her office. The blue alien just smiled maliciously. "Well, well. You became the annoying hero you are".

Ghost Spider was standing on the table before her. "Well, it is my specialty. You seem cheery for a tyrant about to lose her power", she said as she walked to the blue woman. "So, the last time I kicked your ass didn't give you the realization that you can't beat me?"

"I took over your world. Where were you when I did that?"

Ghost Spider clicked her tongue, "I was in dealing with a literal witch. But now I get to take out an obnoxious, less important Neytiri".

Finale made a confused face, Ghost Spider couldn't believe she didn't get it. "The blue alien princess with a tail?" She explained but Finale was still baffled. "The one taller than a human being? From the movie Avatar?" Finally, it still looked like the reference didn't ring a bell in her mind. "Am I the only one who watches entertainment on T.V.?"

"Your nuisance ends now". Finale snapped her fingers. Ghost Spider's senses started ringing, then something crashed through the wall. "Say hello to my big friend".

"Oh good, you DO watch movies!" Ghost Spider gasped in relief. There was the sound of a dog growling and the dust cleared to reveal…a large wolf.

"Finish that idiot and join me at the roof".

"John Jameson? Did you dye your fur?" Ghost Spider called as she tried to dodge incoming bites. "Brunette doesn't suit you, not now, not even before you became a mutant werewolf".

White Fox rounded up all the lizards and dusted her hands. She was with Orlando in the newsroom. "That's all of them taken care of now—", White Fox heard a gunshot from behind her, she slowly turned around to find Orlando flinch.

"Take her out already!" a bear-man hybrid growled. White Fox was baffled until Orlando struck her under her ribcage. She howled in pain as he retracted his mechanic tentacle.

"What…the…hell—"

"I may have left out a crucial part of my plan. You see, I was prepared to double-cross that idiot spider but it was never going to work while you were with her". Orlando said.

"What?" White Fox groaned, andOrlando chuckled.

"Did you think I was going to help her restore this world? I love power, not happily ever afters. Now to finish you off—"

There was a loud sound of crashing and theFinale grunted in pain, Ghost Spider growled and Orlando tried to escape.

"Oh no you don't!"

"How?! You couldn't have possibly defeated the wolf!"

"If I was holding back I couldn't beat it, which was why I lost control. If you don't want me to punch your lights out right now, I suggest you tell me where—" Ghost Spider's lenses widened when she noticed White Fox was wounded and groaning in pain.

Twenty Hours Ago

White Fox walked to Ghost Spider who was in the kitchen. "How can you eat that many burgers at a time like this?"

"I'm eating for two, meaning the symbiote and myself".

Ami removed her domino mask and placed her elbow on the counter beside the blonde. "I remember being told there was an American who has that as his armor. Your suit…it's that alien species isn't it?"

"Technically, unlike Venom, mine was created in a lab".

Ami started eating the warm fries. "Does it make you eat people?" Gwen laughed in amusement.

"No, we are on the same page on the 'no harming innocent people' rule. As long as I eat a lot of junk food and chocolate, we're both good", Gwen noticed Ami's concern, "I can eat as much of it as I want. My suit absorbs most of it so I've never gained any extra weight".

"Well, now I'm jealous," Ami said, and Gwen giggled in her low-key voice." You know…I was told about your friend whose death you were blamed for".

Gwen cleared her throat, "Oh yeah?"

"You weren't responsible. Right?"

"I was blamed for it but I still…feel guilty".

Ami hummed, "Is that why you exposed your identity as a superhero?"

"There's more in that context. I didn't let anybody else in after that. You wouldn't understand", Gwen devoured her sixth burger.

"I would. I was also framed for the loss of a close friend. It was frustrating to know that my teammates never understood," Ami confessed.

"So you felt like you had to do everything solo? Self Isolation?"

Ami sat up on the counter and looked at Gwen as if she was studying her, "I spent my early years keeping most parts of myself a secret. And when I did come out…".

"…Not a lot of people accepted that, right?"

Ami sighed, "Have you ever felt that death itself loves you?"

After Gwen choked a little, Ami patted her hard on her back. She wondered if she made her uncomfortable with that question. The blonde just furrowed her eyebrows as her eyes started becoming heavy. "…What?" she whispered.

Ami was becoming sure that she spooked the girl, "Um, forget that. How do you like your burger?"

Gwen was silent as she stared at the Kumiho in shock, "Is your entire family and friends…dead?" She asked and Ami drew her breath deeply.

"My mother was killed when I was six. But others like me died too, I am the last of my species".

Gwen was in shock. "I've been to a lot of funerals myself," she revealed, and Ami just frowned as she placed her hand on top of Gwen's.

"Do you…want to talk about it?" Ami asked sympathetically. Gwen inhaled and laughed.

"Death is Gwen Stacy's BFF right now. Hence the superhero name".

"I'm being serious. Do you want to talk about your grief?"

Gwen just looked at Ami andthen lowered her eyes to her lips. "Uh…so do you remember in the contest we were forced to fight each other in?"

"…What about it?"

"Well…before you were taken to the Bermuda Triangle…you…" Gwen spun her hand as asign of Ami knowing what she remembered.

"I…what?" Ami smiled.

"When you beat me in battle. Before you left you…".

Ami leaned in closer to the blonde, "I just said goodbye." She placed her hand on Gwen's cheek and turned the blonde's head to face her. She wiped some bits of food off the corners of her mouth. Giggling at Gwen's face being completely pink, she asked a question.

"Do you want to kiss again?"

Gwen quickly leaned back, "I don't know you that well, but if this is a weird fox thing—"

"Do you want to be in a relationship with someone? Anyone?"

"Why are you asking me this?"

Ami hopped off the counter and walked back to the basement. "Gwen, if you ever need me…I'll be waiting", She came to a halt as she heard Gwen hopping off the counter, Ami ran back and held Gwen's arms. "When this is over, you're welcome to visit me".

"What did you do to her!" Ghost Spider snarled as she charged at Orlando. He used his tentacles to attempt stabbing Ghost Spider but she was too agile. She managed to punch his face and he grabbed her legs lifting her upside down.

"Did you believe I wanted this city back to normal? I made a deal with Finale in a position to rule this world".

"You piece of—"

"I'm surprised you defeated the dog but it isn't me you should be fighting. The lizard men, are the innocent people he had mutated".

"What?" Both girls said in unison

"We needed a large number of individuals to and since the city was infested with civilians…"

"You monster!" Gwen narrowed her lenses.

"I'm not the one responsible", Orlando chuckled but choked at White Fox's incoming punch in the throat.

Gwen slipped out of the tentacle grip, walking to Orlando and lifting him by the collar. "How do we turn them back?" She snarled, voice deepening a bit.

"Not saying", he sang. Ghost Spider growled. White Fox tapped her commlink.

"The resistance heard everything you confessed, you will be stopped", she glared.

Both girls charged him, he attempted to pierce them but Ghost Spider dodged from above. She punched the man and White Fox kicked him in the gut. Ghost Spider hissed as she ripped out one of his tentacles with so much force.

White Fox kicked at his feet, then she punched him. Orlando hissed in pain and Ghost Spider ripped off another tentacle.

Then volts of electricity shot through the two girls, pain was agonizing. Everything around them changed pink and the two girls found themselves in an empty walled room.
