"Where are we?" White Fox asked.
"I was thinking the same question", Gwen replied. Both girls walked around the empty pink-colored room. "Kinda soothing that the room is my aesthetic color", Gwen quipped.
White Fox was trying to make the 'now is not the time for jokes' look, but ended up smiling softly.
The room suddenly began to shake, causing both girls to fall. Gwen managed to stand up again and shoot a web string. The ceiling was either too far up or nonexistent as the string just fell back down.
White Fox couldn't pick up anything with her senses. Nothing but smoke started forming around them.
"Ah…I finally get to see the neglectful hero", a voice spoke and the two girls prepared themselves for battle.
"Who said that? Show yourself!" Gwen demanded.
"Very well".
Before them was Agatha Harkness who levitated before them. She was displeased but seemed to be thinking of something.
"You! You're the psychotic witch who abducted heroes!" Gwen recognized her voice.
"I wouldn't say I'm psychotic—"
"AND you forced the heroes you abducted to fight each other!" Gwen continued.
"I had a good reason—"
"AND the heroes who won the first battle were hypnotized by you!"
"I did it—"
"Because you wanted to create hell! Literally"
Agatha was silent for a minute, then clicked her tongue, "Are you done interrupting me?" She took Gwen's silence as a yes. "I did it for a good reason, I was trying to save the world from chaos magic".
"You have quite a way of doing it. You do know it's not possible to save the world without such acts of villainy", White Fox stated.
"You are both such naïve and narrow-minded children. Open your eyes to a bigger picture for once", Agatha said in an irritable tone.
"If I had a dime for every time a bad guy said that…", Gwen said as she rolled her eyes.
"Gwen, I have a proposition for you. You want your earth to return to its normal state?"
"Duh…", Gwen answered.
"Well, I can do that".
"…How?"
"With magic".
White Fox folded her arms, "What is the catch? You can't do that so easily without some conditions".
"I will have to wipe out traces of the web of life. Anything that represents it", Agatha Harkness revealed.
"…Including me…you're saying…why?!" Gwen growled.
"You have no place in it. Deep down you know I am right".
"Who are you to kick someone out of their dimension?" Gwen yelled furiously. "I may have made mistakes but I can't abandon it".
Agatha just laughed harshly, "You have already abandoned it. Multiple times". She then clicked her fingers and a screen was revealed. "See those lizards? They used to be the innocent people you protected but I can change them back".
"…what..?" Gwen said softly with shock.
"How exactly?" White Fox asked.
"By resetting the whole universe of it".
"Ah-ah wicked witch of the west! One psycho did that already and she only ended up having her butt kicked", Gwen glared as her mask and hoodie formed. "So I'm fixing this mess without you!"
Agatha raised her hands, and a jar formed. "This is the cure for all the victims who turned into lizard mutants. I will give it to you IF you accept never returning to Earth 65 again."
"You're bluffing!".
"You are too desperate to be sure I am, "Agatha said. "Now, you can be a selfless hero and save your people, OR you can be stubborn and make the biggest mistake of your life".
Ghost Spider charged at the witch who just rolled her eyes, she snapped her fingers and a pack of wolves appeared.
"Take care of them for me", she said as the wolves charged at the two girls who prepared for battle.
Ghost Spider kept leaping over the creatures and web-swinging them towards each other. The wolves were vicious but the spider was agile enough to handle them.
White Fox used her sharp claws as she attacked and kicked the ones who tried attacking from behind. She noticed Agatha checking her nails, annoyed by this, she threw one of the wolves at her. Agatha grunted as she pushed the wolf off of her only for Ghost Spider to pin her back down.
"You lost the upper hand fast huh? Now fix the disaster you caused!"
"I am not the one who caused this", she confessed.
"Such bull!" Gwen snarled.
"I am telling the truth".
"Then who did?" White Fox asked before she screamed in pain from a laser beam shot at her shoulder blade.
"The watchers! They did it for a reason!"
Gwen was about to punch her unconscious when something light was shot straight through her heart. She fell backward, wounded.
"Gwen!" White Fox rushed to the spider girl and gently lifted her. "No…"
Gwen was struggling to breathe as she touched her wound which seemed to be bleeding. Ami was gently lifting up her back and looked down at her. "I'm so sorry…this is all my fault".
Gwen tried to stay awake but it was hard as her eyes wanted to be shut closed. Ami lifted her up and looked at Agatha's direction who was yelling at a man in a suit that appeared. He pulled out a gun and as he shot her into a portal, he approached the two girls.
Gwen closed her eyes, and she heard soft murmuring and White Fox sobbing.
A/N: The next chapter will be the finale of this fanfic. I think I will have to redo it's sequel (The good in you) so it fits this story. Hope you all enjoyed this story so far!
