"… and since this is my first lecture, I'll start with an easy question." the history teacher, Ms. Sofue, mentioned snapping Yu out of his thoughts. "Our transferee, Mr. Narukami, please stand up."
Yu's eyes widened a bit as he got up from his seat and felt everyone staring at him while Chie frowned sympathetically that he had to answer a question on only the second day of class as Ms. Sofue proceeded to ask him what the year before 1 AD was called.
"The year before 1 AD, that would be 1 BC." Yu answered.
"That's correct, you seem to understand the concept very well." Ms. Sofue smiled at that. "If you think that history is like math, 0 AD would be the natural assumption, but world history is much more complicated."
Yu nodded sitting down as Ms. Sofue explained the origins of the calendar and why there was no year zero.

As the class ended Yu couldn't help but overhear some students talking about the body that had been found and that it was Saki Konishi who found it. His eyes widened a bit only to notice Yosuke walking over to him
"Y-Yo. Um…" he started uncertainly. "It's… not that important, but yesterday on TV I…. Never mind, I'll tell you later."
As he said that Chie walked up to them. "Hey Yosuke, did you hear the rumor, Saki-senpai's supposed to be the one who discovered that body."
"I wonder if that's why she was so down before, and I haven't seen her at school either." Yosuke admitted only for Yukiko to get up suddenly as Chie looked over and asked if she had to help at the inn again which Yukiko confirmed before walking off.
"Is it just me, or did Yukiko seem kind of stressed today?" Yosuke asked seeing that.
"I guess they're running her ragged at the inn." Chie shrugged before turning. "Oh, by the way, did you guys see it last night?"
"It? Oh um… did you?" Yosuke asked causing Chie to look a bit flustered.
"I did, I seriously saw a girl! But my soulmate is a girl?" Chie blinked. "What does that mean?"
Yu however widened his eyes. "Did she have our school uniform?"
Hearing that Chie and Yosuke both looked shocked and turned to him.
"Yeah… hold on did we all see the same person?" Yosuke blinked. "How is that possible?"
"I don't know, but I think something weird is going on… actually, my cousin Nanako and I are playing this game… but I don't think it's normal." Yu mentioned. "The game is about all of us."
Chie blinked. "Huh, what do you mean a game about us?"
"I mean we're the main characters, we only just started but the first big thing… a body discovered in the shopping district of Inaba." Yu explained quietly causing Yosuke and Chie to look at him in disbelief. "I know, it sounds insane but… maybe you two could come to my uncle's so I can show you what I'm talking about?"
"I don't know… oh but actually that reminds me… my parents were talking about getting a new TV." Chie mentioned turning to Yosuke. "Think you can help me out?"
"Huh, sure I can help out." Yosuke nodded turning to Yu. "Do you want to come, maybe we can figure out if we can try that game sometime."
Yu looked unsure but nodded. "Alright, sure thing."

Soon the three of them arrived in the electronics section of Junes as Chie's eyes widened seeing the price of a large television set.
"What the, this is way too expensive! How many zeroes can you put on one price tag?" she asked in disbelief.
"Yeah, I should have probably asked what your price range was before showing you the top-of-the-line model." Yosuke admitted as he looked at it only to look over at Yu who was looking at a particularly large display model. "Huh, oh were you looking for a new TV too?"
"Not exactly, I'm just thinking about something." Yu admitted looking at the screen as the image of his in-game counterpart passing through the screen replayed in his mind. As Yosuke turned back to Chie to talk with her about the TV she wanted Yu hesitantly placed his hand on the screen but instead of feeling the hard glass it rippled and his arm passed through without any resistance. "It did pass through…"
Hearing that Yosuke and Chie turned as their eyes widened seeing Yu's arm inside the TV screen.
"What the heck!?" Yosuke cried in shock. "Dude, how are you doing that?"
"No way, your arm… it's passing right through the screen, that's not possible!" Chie gasped as she and Yosuke ran over only to trip as the three of them fell through the Television completely before ending up in a strange place covered in a thick fog.

At the Inaba Police Department Dojima was going over the information related to Mayumi Yamano's strange death only to pause and look at the clock. "It should have happened."
"Huh, what do you mean Dojima-san?" Adachi inquired looking over the list of guests and visitors to the Amagi Inn to try and figure out who the real murderer was since he wasn't despite what the game suggested.
Dojima softly closed his eyes. "The other world, they should be entering it for the first time around now… which means they'll be meeting him soon and the case will start for real."
Adachi's eyes widened hearing that before nodding in understanding. "Oh yeah, then I guess it's finally starting. I just hope we can solve the real one just like we managed to solve the one in that game."
"So do I." Dojima nodded as he looked at the documents along with Adachi.
(Yu has revealed that he's started a game with his cousin Nanako to Chie and Yosuke but the three of them have fallen into the TV World. Next chapter the three of them will meet a strange creature. As always any reviews or critique is appreciated.)
