Standing in a white void, Nicky is seeing himself in glasses and his bangs are put down, showing who he once was as he's no longer Sonic.

Curling himself like cocoon, Nicky has found out he reached his end, meaning Eggman has won.

In front of him is Sonic, who is in the same position as Nicky, realising that he also failed to change Nicky.

"You held back, didn't you?" Sonic asks, knowing Nicky had backed down from his fight.

"Why are you here?" Nicky mumbles as he doesn't want to see himself anymore.

"Seems like Eggman had used your family as his robots to attack you." Said Sonic, causing Nicky to punch Sonic in the face.

"Don't say that! Dad was strong! How was he beaten by Eggman!?" Nicky snaps, showing genuine anger towards his other identity.

Sonic remains quiet as he knows the situation he and Nicky are in.

Nicky's emotion went from stressed anger to grief as he fell to his knees.

"Dad… Mom… Tania…" Nicky starts to sob as Sonic feels pity for himself, making him lower his head.

"Nicky." A man's voice called which surprises Sonic and Nicky.

"Dad!" Nicky is still sobbing while looking up, barely seeing a familiar hedgehog right in front of him.

"Paulie?" Sonic gasped with surprise, realising that he feels the same as Nicky.

"Long time no see, Henry. How's heaven looking out for you?" 'Jules' asked while smiling towards Sonic.

"Heh. Pretty boring. But why?" Sonic asked.

"Because I wanted to see my son one last time." 'Jules' kneels down and pulls Nicky's face, seeing his son broken down in tears after failing to defeat Eggman.

"Dad. I'm sorry." Nicky is still crying while apologising.

"It's not your fault, Nicky. If I'd known any better, Dr. Ivo Robotnik was a traitor to G.U.N.'s loyalty. I'm a horrible person. I failed not only as a former G.U.N. soldier, but I failed as a father." 'Jules' admitted to his mistakes while feeling gloomy and hugged Nicky.

To Nicky's shock, his father looked down on himself like he's seeing a reflection of himself.

"But you're cool…"

"You think I'm cool, but I'm never cool to begin with. But that's okay." Jules added.

"What?" Nicky stops while looking up.

"You just need to open your eyes. If you want to be cool, then actually play by your own rules. Think about it. Life's just an open book, even a gameplay. It's obvious that you already exceeded the expectations of being Sonic." 'Jules' gives out the truth as if Nicky is being told by his father directly.

To Nicky's surprise, his body is glowing aqua blue as if he's awakened something inside of him.

"Henry. Let Nicky go. He already succeeded." Said 'Jules.'

"Paulie… Hey, good luck out there. Oh as for the chaos emerald. You better prepare yourself. It's risky to manifest that power, so be careful, Sonic the Hedgehog." Sonic concludes as he vanishes, leading Nicky to see a chaos emerald out of his heart, realising that he's the 7th emerald this whole time.

"Dad… Mr. Gordon…" Nicky is surprised and then he smiles.

His confidence is now clear as he grabs the aqua blue emerald, releasing the shackles of Nicky's reclusive behaviour, out with Sonic's true nature, making him grin.

Red, blue, purple, green, white, yellow and aqua, the 7 colours that grant miracles, releasing the chaos energy by reshaping the world to its natural order.

Nicky has been reborn.

He is Sonic the Hedgehog.

Scrap Brain

In reality, Sonic is unable to move anymore as Jules finally took the life of his own son.

To his right, Jules grabs the ball, slams it down and steps on the ball revealing it to be Mighty's back.

"Gah!"

"Mighty! Hiya!" Ray misses his kick as Jules dodge and then dropkicks Ray down as Ray exclaims with pain. "GAHAH!"

"HAHAHAHA! So it seems the brat has brought in some uninvited guests! Jules eliminates them when they're done." Eggman orders while cackling.

Jules tosses Sonic and approaches Mighty and Ray as the duo are groaning in pain.

What catches him off guard is Bunnie arriving by dive kicking Jules' head, leading Jules himself to slide and then grab Bunnie's leg and swings her as Sally appears ducking and swings a needle she took from one of Eggman's obstacles.

Unfortunately Sally was being smacked as she fell unconscious.

As for Bunnie, she's in a similar situation as Sonic as she's also being choked.

"Gah… S- Sal… Mr… Sonic… Help me…" Bunnie is suffocating as she's starting to lose consciousness.

Before Eggman celebrates his victory, he stops to witness Sonic standing up while holding his neck.

"Eggman!"

"What!? But how are you still alive!?" Eggman exclaimed.

"You took away the lands… You hurt innocent people… You took away my family, our homes, our wildlife, our happiness!" Sonic yells while piercing a glare at Eggman.

Eggman stops as he sees the chaos emeralds floating and there's only 5 of them.

"What is this!? The chaos emeralds! Why am I getting some intense energy readings!?"

The 6th one reveals to be a yellow emerald as it bursts out of Jules' chest, meaning he's quickly dismantled as Bunnie falls to the floor.

And the 7th one is out of Sonic's chest as he raises his arms.

"Let's dance, playmate." Sonic raises his fingers with a smile, ready to face Eggman once and for all.

At the mansion, a golden light has Clutch speechless as his smile widens.

"He has arrived. Looks like I won the bet, doctor. May the fairytale begin." Clutch clicks his finger as it's just the beginning.

A strong windstorm inside the base has covered the area with golden light as lightning sparks are all over, leading Mighty, Ray, Sally and Bunnie to see a real life angel standing in front of them with feathers falling all over the room.

Even the wingless angel's eyes are flashing green to red as he approaches Eggman while single handedly smashing the robots and freeing the animals.

"Th- That's impossible! Stay back!" Eggman freaks out as he jumps into the Egg Mobile and boosts away from the angelic golden hedgehog.

"Sonic? Is that you?" Sally gasps after seeing Sonic with golden fur with raised quills.

Sonic smiles towards his friends, and then vanishes at mach speed while chasing Eggman down.

"No way… He's beautiful…" Ray admires the beauty of Sonic's chaos energy around him.

"Looks like we have company." Bunnie said while she and her friends are seeing Scratch and Grounder with a horde of badniks.

"You think you can get away from us this time, baha-hahaaa!?" Scratch laughs.

"That's right! It's time we're teaching you kiddies a lesson!" Grounder grins while spinning his drills.

4 against an army of robots, Sally smirks as her friends aren't giving up without a fight.

As for Sonic and Eggman, Eggman is still speeding up his Egg Mobile while seeing a golden light charging towards him, making Eggman open up his deathtraps.

Unfortunately, his traps are obliterated as Eggman panics, realising he hasn't had enough data from Sonic after all.

As Eggman reaches the room, Eggman is blocking the glass capsule where Sonic can see a hedgehog woman being held inside an incubator.

"Mom!"

"That's right, Nicky! One wrong move and your mother's toast!" Eggman grins while waiting for Sonic to back down.

Sonic grunts, only for a banging noise to come from behind, revealing Jules with an opened chest as his mechanical insides are exposed.

"Jules! There you are! Quick! Destroy this hedgehog now!"

"Sorry… Traitor, but I have no need for your orders." Jules finally speaks out.

What scares Eggman is Jules' speed as he smashes the glass, freeing the hedgehog woman who was still unconscious as Jules carries her.

"Nicky. I'm sorry I failed you as a father. I know this won't be the last time we see each other." Jules lowered his head, seeing as he harmed his own son after what Eggman had done to him.

"Don't be." Sonic speaks out, surprising Jules as he turns towards Sonic himself. "I found my purpose. I wanted to be as cool as you are, but in the end, I want to be the cooler version of myself." Sonic grins as he raises his finger.

To Jules' surprise, his own son has changed as he became more and more confident in facing dangerous situations, placing his wife down safely.

With Sonic and Jules smashing one last trap together, Eggman is screwed after witnessing 2 hedgehogs preparing to beat him to a pulp.

"Well, at least I saved your life, Paulie. Heheh." Chuckling nervously, Eggman is out of options.

"You may have, doctor. But as a former member of the Guardian Unit of Nations, I will have you arrested. No excuses will be supported until proven innocent." Jules said while cracking his metallic knuckles.

"Ngh! You'll never take me alive!" Eggman flees with his Egg Mobile, giving Sonic and Jules the chance to vanish at the speed of sound as they boost together towards Eggman.

As they're outside, Eggman is up high in the sky as he sighs with relief, only for him to stop and turn around, witnessing Sonic and Jules curling into balls and spinning together as a gold and silver ball charges up their speed.

"No! No! No! I gotta get out of here!" Eggman panics as his glasses reflect the gold and silver light, making him raise the white flag.

While Eggman jumps off the Egg Mobile, both lights pierces through the flying machine, causing a massive explosion as Eggman himself flaps his arms and falls while screaming.

In the sky, the sun is rising as Sonic and Jules are speechless to see the sky, making the father and son share a reunion.

"The sky… When's the last time I've ridden one?" Jules asks with surprise.

"I don't know. But it's awesome." Sonic is excited to see the sunrise with his own father.

While Sonic and Jules are flying together, Sonic sees Sally, Bunnie, Mighty and Ray from below, making Sonic levitate downwards.

It turns out Sonic isn't the only one in a rough condition, despite the wounds quickly healed up by the chaos emeralds, Sally, Bunnie, Mighty and Ray are heavily beaten after they win against the robots together.

As Sonic collapses, Mighty and Ray catch Sonic as they cheer and laugh.

With Sonic, Mighty, Ray, Sally and Bunnie laugh while celebrating, even Sally hugs Sonic and Bunnie jumps behind, Jules is glad to see his son growing out of his shell and moving forward.

Jules is seeing the cooler version of his own son.

Leaving, Jules returns to a completely destroyed factory base and picks up his wife's body.

This may not be the last time Jules is meeting Sonic, but someday they'll bump into each other.

Sonic is boosting around the factory, changing it from a polluted base into a similar yet fresh base with the purple water turns blue, the smog turns into white clouds and the robots are falling apart as the animals are saved.

Sonic's golden light has created new environments as the flowers are blooming and life turns green, even the cities are turning on as the lights are flashing.

When Sonic returns, his fur is back to blue as his quills fall down, changing Sonic back to his normal self.

"That was awesome! How did you do that!? Tell me!?" Ray excitedly asks, jumping up and down as Sonic chuckles nervously.

"The last chaos emerald was inside me the whole time. Hehe. I guess that moustachioed egg didn't see that coming." Sonic said while clicking and wink.

"No he didn't. I knew Mr. Clutch was right." Bunnie remembers why Clutch made Sonic leave to tell her the truth.

"I bet he sure is. Let's go back." Sally said.

"Hmph. If I use the chaos emeralds, I'm willing to have superpowers like you do!" Mighty laughs while pulling Sonic with his arm.

"So what are you going to call yourself?" Bunnie asked.

"I don't know. I'm gold and can fly, so I'm thinking Golden Hedgehog?" Sonic thought of a name for himself.

"Doesn't Chaos Hedgehog fit perfectly?" Sally asked.

"Are you kidding me? I think Super Sonic makes more sense." Mighty points out.

"Ooh! Like a superhero!? I vote for Super Sonic!" Ray cheers.

"Golly, that does sound like a nice ring to that. Whaddya think, Sal?" Bunnie also agrees with the name.

"Great idea. Simple and memorable, what do you think, Sonic?" Sally asks after agreeing with the name for Sonic's transformation.

Sonic smirks after remembering the name that fits the super speedy hedgehog, making Sonic lift his head.

"Yeah. Super Sonic. Let's go with that." Sonic concludes.

20XX July 5th

Spring Yard

The children are surprised to see Sonic and others returning home as they run through the flower garden while cheering, jumping onto Mighty and Ray the most, even though it includes Sonic, Sally and Bunnie, despite barely knowing them.

"Welcome back, Sonic the Hedgehog." Clutch finally accepts the name Sonic to the hedgehog, proving that Sonic is the real deal.

"Heh. I'm back, old man." Sonic nods with a calm smile.

Back at Scrap Brain, Eggman groans as he returns, seeing Scratch and Grounder being the only 2 in pieces as they're excited.

"Boss!" Both robots cheered.

"What happened to you two?" Eggman asks.

"Funny story, you see…" Before Grounder explains, Scratch growls and squarks out of anger.

"The little brats just smashed us all to pieces and it doesn't help that the blue rodent became golden and took all the robots away from us!" Scratch yelled as his head bounces on the floor.

"Yeah. Something like that." Grounder agreed.

Eggman sighs while marching to his computer room after being trashed by Sonic's chaos energy.

What catches him off guard is a massive radiation of chaos energy, making his data showing increasing power that Sonic has.

It's like Nicky is something else and Eggman actually underestimated him.

An unfinished robot hedgehog is still untouched as the chaos energy is being transferred to the robot which was supposed to copy Sonic's data.

In other words, Eggman hadn't lost as if he's unintentionally prepared for something bigger, making him grin.

"Well, Sonic, looks like I found myself a playmate. I was wrong about you, maybe we can play a little game together." Eggman's smile has gotten more and more sinister after realising that Clutch has won the bet and the fairytale has come to life.

Eggman turns around as he sees the same unfinished robot as he's preparing a new challenge for Sonic.

"Looks like you're gonna have a tough opponent. Make sure to give it all you got…"

A robot hedgehog's eyes are flashing red while awakened, yet was about to be completed with Sonic and the chaos data surging inside the robot himself.

"Metal Sonic."
