After school in the afternoon.
Running through the forest, Miles is still following the trails that Sonic left after being saved.
Looking around the forest left and right. Miles is certain he's going the right way.
As he stops, Miles is seeing a blue and yellow sky as the sun is about to set, making him gasp at the beach scenery.
"Wow… So pretty." Miles walks forward, thinking he's in another world.
Stopping him, he sees an old plane on the beach sand, making him rush towards it as he sees the controls being left untouched.
"The Polikarpov I-153 fighter. That's amazing. I wonder why people keep this old plane." Miles leaps into the plane, looking into its cables
Moving the wires, Miles can tell what type of model this Russian biplane was after he researched its engines.
After the cables, Miles does some overhauling with the controls.
Finally, the blades start to move, surprising Miles as he's about to test the plane as he smiles.
"Alright! Let's get started!"
As the plane starts to move forward, Miles is surprised that he's able to pilot a plane, making him yell.
On the other side, Sonic appears while carrying a couple of cans of Chaos Cola.
"You took so long. Did something happen?" Amy asked while taking the can from Sonic.
"Ran into a bunch of troublemakers, picking on a little fox." Sonic sighs, knowing why he did that.
What catches Sonic and Amy off guard is the sound of an engine with blades making a loud noise, causing Sonic and Amy to watch in the sky.
Sonic recognises the figure he saved from earlier today.
"That's…"
A scream is heard from the familiar twin tailed fox in a plane as the plane moves around weirdly and then falls until it crashes.
"Let's go find out!" Amy said as she and Sonic ran towards the sound of a crash.
Back to Miles, he groans while seeing the plane being intact, making him sigh.
"At least it's not damaged. Hehe." Giggling, Miles is glad he didn't break someone else's property.
To his shock, he sees 2 hedgehogs arriving, making Miles shriek and runs towards the forest.
"What the?" Sonic is confused with Miles' fear of seeing him.
"The kid you rescued?" Amy asks with an unimpressed look as Sonic shrugs his shoulders.
As Sonic inspects the plane, seeing how it's fully functional, making Sonic start the engine.
It works even better than how he and Amy went through, making this test a complete success.
"Hey, fox boy." Sonic called.
Miles meekly shows himself while looking at the same hedgehog that saved his life.
"Not bad." Sonic sticks out his thing with a grin.
"R- Really?" Miles is surprised that Sonic is liking the results.
"Yeah. We really needed the controls to be fixed." Sonic said.
"Aww! He's so fluffy and adorable!" Amy squeals while hugging Miles.
This had Miles exclaiming while blushing.
"Amy, I think you should calm down." Sonic nervously chuckles and then clears his throat. "I saw the drone earlier, also you fixed the plane. You must be really smart."
"I… Um…" Miles looks away, only for Sonic to pat his head with a calm smile.
"Tell you what, let's go on adventures together. You, me and Amy." Sonic offers.
Miles' eyes widened after seeing how kind Sonic and Amy are, knowing they wanted him to join him, but making him think twice after the bullies hurt him.
"I don't want to." Miles refused.
"Eh? But…" Before Amy protests, Sonic shakes his head and then steps forward.
"We're not so different after all. I know what it's like being the one bullied. I guess Miss Wing wanted to help you like she did with me." Sonic points out, surprising both Miles and Amy for different reasons.
"Wait! Miss Wing is…" Amy rejoices after finding out another Hedgehog Townsperson is still alive somewhere.
Sonic nods to Amy and then looks back to Miles.
Miles remembers that he's the boy Miss Wing teaches a while ago, the boy who was also bullied like him, making Miles realise he's not alone after all.
"You know Miss Wing too!?" Miles asks excitedly.
"Yeah. Been a while since I last saw her. Amy and I are about to have a reunion with our teacher." Sonic chuckles while rubbing his nuzzle with his finger.
"So I was wondering if you could stay with us. What do you think, Mr. Fox?" Amy asked.
Miles had remembered that a blue hedgehog and a pink hedgehog are young elementary schoolers like him, despite them being older than him.
Miles nods, excited that he has found real friends aside from Nicole.
"Heh. Two tails. I say you look cool with them, Tails." Sonic said.
The name Tails had Miles hold his tails while growling after hearing the name he's being called by the bullies.
"My name is not Tails! Stop calling me that!" Miles snapped.
"Why not? It's a gift. You can do anything with it." Sonic said with a smirk.
"Now you're starting to sound like Tania!" Miles shouted.
Sonic and Amy's smiles dropped instantly after hearing her name, making Sonic approach Miles out of shock.
"Y- You said Tania, right?" Sonic asks while grabbing Miles' shoulders.
"Huh? You know her?" Miles stops after seeing how he kinda broke Sonic.
"Tania… She's… This is her brother." Amy answers who Sonic is.
"No way! Her brother!?" Miles didn't know that was true, making him think about what he just said to Sonic earlier. "I'm sorry."
"Don't be. I'm happy she's okay." Sonic lifts his head up and smiles towards Miles.
Afterwards, Sonic, Amy and Miles are watching the sea under the yellow sky after the revelation of Sonic's little sister.
"Excuse me, Mr. Nicky?" Miles speaks out.
"Just call me Sonic. I thought Tails suits you. What do you think? Tails and Sonic with Amy on adventures?" Sonic suggested with a genuine smile.
"Sonic… That name… Mom told me a story about Sonic. Wow! I really got to meet a real hero!" Miles cheers.
"Heh. Are you okay with that? Tania did say that name is a gift. She wanted you to accept Tails for who you are." Sonic assures Miles about the name he got from Tania which brings a whole new meaning of the name.
It's not a mockery, but a name for a fox with twin tails.
Miles finally understands as he comes to a conclusion.
"Okay. I will be Tails for now. I am Miles 'Tails' Prower!"
He finally accepted who he is like how Nicky was Sonic.
Miles accepted the name Tails as his own.

"That's great! So now what, Tails?" Amy asks as Tails thinks while looking at the sun setting.
Tails hop into the Polikarpov I-153 fighter while starting it.
"Tails? What are you doing?" Sonic asks nervously while he and Amy walk backwards.
"I'm taking it to my house! I thought you guys could stay at my house!" Miles cheerfully called.
Sonic and Amy look at each other and shrug their own shoulders.
After Amy climbs up into the plane, Sonic leaps onto the wing and grips the end of it.
"Take us to your home, Tails!" Amy calls with joy while Sonic salutes to Tails.
"Sure thing! Let's go home!" Tails finally starts the plane while flying off from the beach as the trio are heading to Emerald Town.
At the Prower residence, a plane is parked near the building, causing Rosemary to be flabbergasted at the sight of a plane parked near her house.
After that, she sees Tails appearing with Sonic and Amy.
"Miles, what's going on?" Rosemary is not the only person shocked at the sight of a plane as other people in town are staring at the plane with awe.
"Oh! Hey, mom! Sorry I'm late." Tails approaches his mother while waving.
"I'm not about you being late. What is this? Why is there a plane parking in our garden? And who are these kids?" Rosemary asks as she's worried, especially that she witnesses her son piloting on a plane, considering he's too young to do that.
Amy waves as she giggles, whereas Sonic taps his foot on the ground as he calmly waits.
"This is Sonic and Amy. They're staying here until we get them to talk." Said Tails after introducing Sonic and Amy to his mother.
"Sonic? But I thought Sonic's just a fairytale."
"Hmph. And I'm the real deal." Sonic smirks while pointing at himself.
Rosemary is speechless after seeing Sonic along with a fellow hedgehog, making her clear her throat.
"Come on in! I'm sure there's plenty of room for you two to sit for dinner!" Rosemary raises her hand while Tails enters the house first.
Sonic and Amy grin together and then enter the house while following their new friend.
Rosemary is glad that her son is making more friends outside his house, although she doesn't know what happened outside the school earlier.
A little earlier.
In the living room, reading the results while placing a phone on her ear and sorting out the medication in the suitcase, Isabella is thinking about what to do to resolve the long term illness.
"Charles. How's the research progress going?" Isabella asks while raising a syringe that has a chemical inside.
[Still working on it. Seeing the reports you sent out, I'm certain it's her stress that made it worse.] A man's voice said as the sounds of papers are coming through the phone.
"In the end, still no progress." Isabell sighs. "Tell the Commander to give us some time. I need more answers from Professor Robitnik's research."
[I'll do that. Chuck did assign a day off to see his grandson. So I'll handle it myself.] Charles accepted.
To Isabella's surprise, she sees a plane as well as Tails, Sonic and Amy, recognising the face she was told by Charles himself.
"He's here."
[Who?]
"Your nephew. He's alive." Isabella answered calmly.
This had Charles grunting, realising that Nicky has survived the incident at Hedgehog Town.
"You want to speak to him?"
[No. Not yet. I'll do so when I'm prepared. I can't face Nicky like this.] Charles admitted, giving Isabella the impression that Charles is happy yet scared at the same time.
"Take some time. Just see the Commander and we'll continue on the cure." Said Isabella.
[Will do.]
Beep.
A phone hangs up as Isabella carries the needle while heading upstairs.
As for Sonic and Amy, they arrive inside as Amy stretches herself and looks at the suitcase while confused.
"Hm? Is that G.U.N.'s suitcase?" Amy waves as Sonic looks at the emblem.
"Looks like you have some military person with you." Sonic turns towards Tails and Rosemary after discovering the suitcase.
"Ah. Well, you see, we have a nurse that worked for the Guardian Unit of Nations. She's been working on helping a friend for years and was trying to save her." Rosemary answered, making Sonic and Amy pity the individual that's been through a lot.
"You mean the military where Eggman betrayed these guys?" Sonic points out.
Rosemary can tell why Sonic and Amy are here, even though they befriended Tails, making her worried about what the whole scenario will end up becoming.
"Eggman? I remember seeing him on TV. So what is the Death Egg?" Tails asked.
"Eggman's scary weapon that's going to destroy earth. If we don't stop this, then you'll lose everything!" Amy answers which shocks both Tails and Rosemary.
"I already know this thing looks suspicious on TV, but to actually destroy earth? For what?" Rosemary is curious about what's happening.
"Eggman's theme park. His empire is one thing, but Eggman took away our town for his own selfish needs." Sonic explains the reason behind Eggman's attack.
"So why build a theme park by ruining other people's lives?" Rosemary grunts.
This had her remembering how she first met Miss Wing who was in tatters, messed up as she was found at the beach.
"Is that why she never told me the truth? The loss of her home and her students is the reason why she never told me?" Rosemary grunts.
Sonic and Amy look up as they see Isabella standing by the door.
"Nicky." Isabella speaks out.
"Call me Sonic." Sonic corrects while raising his finger.
"Excuse me, miss. We need to talk about Eggman." Amy has struck Isabella's nerve after the mention of Eggman.
Before Isabella leaves, Rosemary catches her by grabbing the shoulder while looking serious.
"Isabella, I had a feeling these kids are from G.U.N. like you, so I suggest you should tell them the truth about who Dr. Ivo Robotnik was." Rosemary pleads.
Isabella lowers her head, thinking that G.U.N. had sent out a couple of minors to go out on a dangerous mission.
Amy is unsure why Rosemary is calm about her and Sonic working with G.U.N. as if Rosemary knew it all.
Later.
Sitting on a chair in front of Sonic and Amy, Isabella can't tell if the Commander sent them or did they do this on their own accord.
Gulping, Isabella is unsure what to say.
"So that suitcase. It looks like you're a military nurse, huh?" Sonic asked.
"That is correct. I am G.U.N.'s nurse that specialises in caring for those that are ill." Isabella answers and then clears her throat.
"So you know about Eggman. Why did he betray all of you?" Amy is wondering where it all roots.
Isabella sighed and then looked out of the window.
"Fine. I'll tell you. It all started when Eggman is still called Dr. Ivo Robotnik, a beloved scientist at G.U.N. I too was amazed by his performance, especially when he is known to have 300 IQ. We were all partners back then." Isabella said about the early history of Eggman's recruitment at G.U.N.
"So like Uncle Chuck and Black Doom?" Sonic points out.
"Yeah, that creepy big alien we met in Japan." Amy also points that out as Isabella nods.
"Not just Black Doom, also you're right about Charles being a part of G.U.N.'s science team and I was one of them. When we worked together, we had a little banter, even Dr. Robotnik enjoyed a little contrast joke about him being 'a skinny scientist named Ovi Kintobor.' It was fun back then." Isabella giggles as she reminisces the day she and other scientists laugh together.
"So what's your relationship with Eggman?" Amy asks out of curiosity.
"It's actually a good one. Dr. Robotnik had praised me for my hardworking skills as a nurse so we partnered up as a doctor and a nurse by helping patients. That is until we found an individual that is suffering Neuro-Immune Deficiency Syndrome, NIDS." Isabella explained.
Sonic and Amy are speechless after hearing that illness that they're told that it's incurable.
"Before we get to that part, Dr. Robotnik did take over my work before my daughter was born."
"You're a what!?" Sonic and Amy exclaimed about Isabella mentioning she had a daughter.
"Yeah! I didn't know either!" Tails appear, feeling the same way earlier.
"Miles? What are you doing here?" Isabella halts with surprise, only for Tails to sit next to Sonic and Amy.
"I want to know more about Dr. Eggman." Tails said.
"Just… Ugh, fine. Let me continue." Isabella groans while rubbing her face with displeasure.
Afterwards, Isabella looks at 3 kids who're curious.
"That's right, I have a daughter that is currently waiting for me in Westopolis in the United States. She was around your age, Sonic."
Sonic is curious about a mongoose daughter that is his age, making him think that she was taken care of by a different G.U.N. member.
"But let's not get off topic. As I returned, Dr. Robotnik welcomed me back, even congratulated me for starting my motherhood. I was glad that Dr. Robotnik is a great friend who cares. As for the NIDS, we meet this girl who Miles knows and is currently in her bedroom."
"Her name is Nicole Ellidy. She's a lynx that's living with me and my mom." Tails points at the photo which has Sonic and Amy curious, looking into a photo of Nicole.
"That's right, she's our current subject to salvage the illness. Months have passed and we gathered up all the old research, going through the Chemical Plant to find medicine. The results? Absolutely nothing, but we're able to suppress it." Isabella explains the usage of medication that is from a power plant.
Sonic and Amy can see why as they're sitting back down.
"And Eggman?" Sonic is waiting for the answer to why Eggman betrayed G.U.N.
"He was acting strange. It's like the further we went into research, the creepier he became. Charles, Dr. Robotnik and I are noticing the research the old professor made is covered up, classified even so no one can find the evidence for all the research. This is where Dr. Robotnik worked extra hard on not just medication, but technology that G.U.N. produced. As much as I love a 300 IQ friend, this turned out to be unsettling." Isabella grunts while remembering Eggman's sinister smile.
Before Sonic stands up, he remembers that Eggman's betrayal is at that part as Isabella continues.
"Time after time, Dr. Robotnik is getting more and more distant, even towards his niece."
"Molly…" Sonic whispers quietly.
"While putting on a mask of kindness, Dr. Robotnik had set off with his new machines powered up by animals and that's the day where Hedgehog Town was burned." Isabella reveals the truth behind Hedgehog Town's massacre.
"What!?" Amy gasped.
"When I reported that to the Commander, no one believed me. Some think I was jealous of Dr. Robotnik but the truth has been revealed after the airfield show with a few casualties. At the point of arresting Dr. Robotnik, he said his last words to us." Isabella said.
"And what are his last words?" Sonic asked.
Isabella takes a deep breath and then opens her eyes, revealing what Eggman said as his last words.
"You fools think I'm the only one being a traitor? Guess again, there are more traitors among us. Make sure to find them unless the infiltrators succeed in their goals. Farewell, Guardian Units of Nations, may we not meet again."
"More traitors!? That means…" Tails is shocked that Isabella's friends are never friends, but are enemies to the organisation.
"It's not just Dr. Robotnik that betrayed us, but more members at G.U.N. The Commander is taking action and sends his trustworthy men to keep an eye on those traitors. At the current state, we're really struggling to do more for those that are in need of help, but we can still move forward. I felt so betrayed that a friend had become a monster and we're no better either." Isabella's voice starts to become shaky as she's holding back her emotions.
"No better? How so?" Sonic is unsure why they're no better.
"50 years ago, before Abraham Tower became the Commander. After all the research I, along with other scientists have gathered, Professor Gerald Robotnik has passed away, executed by a firing squad." Isabella concludes.
Silence.
Sonic, Tails and Amy are not only speechless, but are shocked that the truth behind Eggman's hatred has something to do with a deceased professor.
"No…" Tails is deeply shocked that the woman he knows is actually working for those that murdered a man.
Amy gasps while covering her mouth.
Sonic stares with disbelief, realising his family worked with those that turned Eggman against them.
"You mean to say that Eggman did all this because of you?" Sonic asks while still shocked.
"I don't know. But…"
"THAT'S WRONG!" Sonic snapped, shocking the whole room as Sonic pulled Isabella's collar. "I didn't come all the way to fight a man who lost his family member to your friends! What's the reason behind it!?"
"Sonic! Calm down!" Amy grabs Sonic's arm while trying to stop him from trying to harm a nurse.
"Sonic, please stop!" Tails pulls Sonic while trying to stop the fighting.
After Sonic, Tails and Amy fall after letting Isabella go, Isabella clenched her fists and turned back.
"I know how you feel. But this is Dr. Eggman we're talking about."
"He acted like the villain, just to attack us because of you!?" Sonic growled.
"I'm afraid you're mistaken, young man. He's just like you. You both are masking your true motivations. It's obvious, you wanted adventure from the beginning while stopping Dr. Robotnik, Dr Robotnik himself wanted to take over the world while targeting you and G.U.N. It's not about revenge between the two of you, it's about desire." Isabella has finally hit the nail.
Deep down inside, Sonic and Eggman's desires is what drives them to go out and fight one another.
Amy and Tails are worried that Sonic is about to hurt himself with all the things he's doing recently.
"Anyway, you kids should prepare yourselves for dinner. It's almost ready." Isabella finishes her conversation while closing the suitcase.
In the end, the answers are revealed as to why Eggman left G.U.N.
Eggman's hatred comes from the death of his grandfather and his desire to create his own empire.
Sonic and Amy are seeing Tails looking determined as he wants to know who Eggman was and what his one true goal was, even though one of them was a theme park and an empire.
