A mile in your shoes

It was extremely early in the morning at Luna Nova as everyone was asleep. Expect for Diana as she sat at her desk looking over the book she got from the night of the blue moon.
'They say that the Nine Olde Witches sealed the Grand Triskellion in the forest of Arcturus. To unseal it, you need the Seven words and a wand with the seven stars.' Thought Diana as she went over the book.
She knew Akko had the wand and one of the spheres on it was glowing. No, that was wrong the other day Diana saw it and two spheres were glowing.
Diana then thought about all the Akko cards as well. Akko had transformed 25 Clow cards into Akko cards. Diana then frowned as only 27 Clow cards remained.
As Diana thought about it all she was starting to feel some resentment to Akko.
'Why her?' Thought Diana as she was the better witch, she had the family background. So what made Akko better then her?
Diana rubbed the bridge of her nose as she sighed. Thinking like that would only make things worse for her. She then put her book away and laid back in bed, hoping to get a little more sleep.
A little later in the school's courtyard stood Akko, Ursula, Kero and Yue. The reason they were all up early was because Akko asked Professor Ursula for help on some magic she was working on.
"Are you ready, Akko?" Asked Ursula as she along with Kero and Yue stood to the side.
"Yes!" Said Akko as she had her wand/staff ready.
"A Monkey." Said Ursula as she watched on.
"Metamorphie Faciesse!" Said Akko as she then transformed into a monkey. But there was one problem. Akko had rabbit ears on her head.
"Not too bad." Said Ursula as Kero was chuckling on the side.
"Next, an elephant!" Said Ursula hoping Akko would have better luck.
"Metamorphie Faciesse!" Said Akko as she then transformed into an elephant. But like with her monkey transformation, something went wrong again. This time she was a yellow elephant with wing like ears.
Seeing this Kero fell over laughing while Ursula hid a giggle herself. Now she knew why Akko asked for help with her transformation magic.
"Kero." Said Akko as she eyed her friend as she also found this a little funny, but she wanted to this right.
But then to Akko surprise she started to float up.
"Hey! What's happening!?" Cried out Akko in panic as she then turned upside down.
Seeing Yue flew up with Kero following him. The two then gently pushed Akko down until she was on the ground. Once Akko felt he ground beneath her, she undid the spell.
"That was close." Said Akko as she laid on her back.
"Akko are you ok?" Asked Ursula worried.
"I'm ok." Said Akko as he sat up.
"I can see why you asked for help on this." Said Ursula as it was amusing.
"Yeah." Admitted Akko as the floating part was new.
"So why transformation magic Akko?" Asked Ursula as it confused her a little.
"It's her way of being closer to Chariot." Answered Yue as this confused Ursula.
"What do you mean?" Ursula asked trying to understand.
"The Samhain festival is coming up soon. And I'm going to be the Moonlit witch this year." Said Akko with determination.
Ursula was surprised to hear that as she wasn't expecting that.
"I'm sure with the help of the cards you can." Said Ursula as she remembered that little show Akko put on.
"I'm not using them." Said Akko as this caught everyone off guard.
"Wait what?" Said Kero confused.
"I'm not going to use their power for this. This is my goal and as such I will us my power." Said Akko as Yue approved of this.
"You sure?" Asked Kero nervous.
"I'll have them with me in case something happens." Said Akko as she doubted whoever was targeting her would attack during such an event. But it didn't hurt to be careful.
Seeing Akko like this made Ursula smile. She won't lie when Akko was worried it made her worry. But now she was back to normal.
'I wonder what happened?' Thought Ursula as she wondered what happened.
Later that day, during lunch most of the students were eating.
"Extra! Extra!" Said one of the members of the news team as she tossed newspapers around.
"The list of the witches attending the festival has been released." Said the student as she continued to toss papers around.
"Miss Marjolaine, the rock star?" Said one student in surprise as she looked at a paper.
"Minister Dorlin of the east Mogiana Republic!" Said another student equally surprised.
"Madame Ural, too! What an amazing line up!" Said a third student as Akko looked too, before gasping.
"Yelan is coming too!" Said Akko in shock.
"Wait Akko do you know Yelan Li?" Asked Lotte surprised.
"Kinda of. She's Syaoran's mother. We only meet once, but she had such air of elegance and power around her." Said Akko as she remembered when she won that trip to Hong Kong and meeting her.
"I wonder if Li will join her." Akko asked herself out loud.
"Akko you do know what she does right?" Asked Lotte curious.
"No. I'd never asked her. I got a little distracted while there." Admitted Akko as she left out the vengeful ghost.
"Akko Yelan Li is the head of the magical community of all of China." Said Lotte as this shocked Akko.
"Wait really?!" Said Akko in shock as Li never said anything.
"Yes." Said Diana as she walked over.
"Wow." Said Akko as she never knew this.
"How?" Asked Akko curious as Diana looked conflicted, while Lotte explained.
"She's constantly trying to change the ways we use the Sorcerer stones, for one example." Started Lotte as Akko remembered Li's sword.
"And she's doing what she can to help magic evolve while trying to stay true to its roots." Continued Lotte as Akko nodded her head at that.
"Does she use Clow Reed's being in her family at all?" Asked Akko curious not noticing Diana's hurt face.
"From what I've heard no. Many don't even realize until later." Said Lotte as Akko nodded her head as she then was about to ask Diana about her family, until she remembered the talk they had during exams.
Diana saw the look on Akko's face and realized what she was about to say. And without saying anything Diana walked away.
"So what's the story about the other judges?" Asked Akko trying to change topics.
Lotte took the paper from Akko and opened it, as then read it.
"Madame Ural is a Nobel prizing winning authority on magic novels. Miss Dorlin is the minister of the East Mongiana Republic. And Marjolaine is a rockstar witch." Read Lotte as they had quite the roaster this year.
"Witches from all over the world! I'm so excited! I can't wait for the festival!" Said Akko excited unaware her team wasn't.
"Does Akko know?" Sucy asked Lotte with a bored look on her face.
"I can't tell her now." Said Lotte as she knew she had to.
"I can't wait to see the worldly witches!" Said Akko as she had her hands together against her cheek with a wide smile on her face.
"And they probably want to see you." Said Sucy off handily as neither her nor Lotte saw Akko's face as she had a depressed look.
Later the student body was in the main hall as headmistress Holbrooke had gathered then to talk about the festival.
"On October 31, we will celebrate the Samhain Festival, which has been our school's tradition for 1,600 years. It's a perfect time to show the ability of Luna Nova students to our Alumni!" Said Holbrooke though most of the students didn't seem to care.
Though when she said showing off some of the students looked at Akko. Akko could feel those looks as she just looked forward, while Kero wished he could do something to make them stop.
"You will all work with your teams on your presentations." Continued Holbrooke unaware of what her students were doing.
Then all the staff members brought out their wands and pointed them forward. They then casted a spell to bring out a screen before the students.
"This is from last years festival." Said Holbrooke as the screen showed a pile of skull with bones sticking out. Seeing this made Kero and Yue blink as they started to have a bad feeling about this.
"Boiling of toads for enchantments." As the screen showed three students around a cauldron stirring toads.
"Memorizing 10,000 incantations." As the students saw a bunch of students standing holding candles chanting.
"The ancient dark dance." As three students wore black robes with whips of flames coming to and from their hands.
"A full course medieval magic dinner." Hearing this Akko was losing her excitement.
"Yue, am I crazy or is it all the same?" Asked Kero with a look of disbelief on his face as Akko and her friends heard that.
"Unfortunately, is it." Said Yue as that shocked Akko the most.
'The same things for 1,600 years!?' She cried out in her head.
But what no one saw was that Eriol and Rebecca looked annoyed hearing all this. As they had similar thoughts as Akko.
"And at the end of the festival, the most talented witch will be chosen out of all the students and crowned the Moonlit Witch." Finished Holbrooke as she changed the picture to a shadowy figure wearing a white cape that looked like feathers at the end with a white hat with tree branches coming out of it.
"The Moonlit witch." Said Akko with stars in her eyes as she was going to win that title.
Meanwhile most of the students thought either Diana or Akko would win it since they stood out the most.
The next day in class the teachers were handing out the roles for the students.
"Now, each one of you will be assigned a duty at the festival." Said Professor Finnelan as she and Professor Lukic were ready to hand out the assignments.
"Team leaders, please come forward and draw fairy lots." Continued Finnelan as the students walked down.
Akko got up as she gulped. Her luck with draws were all over as sometimes she won greatly only for something bad to happen.
'I can't let one trip ruin things for me.' Thought Akko as she was near the end of the line.
At the front of the line one student stood before Professor Lukic who was holding a box with dirt in it and light green sprouts coming out of the dirt. The student pulled out a sprout to reveal a small creature attached to it.
"Hi! You are in charge of the fireworks!" Said the creature making the student happy.
"Fireworks magic?" Repeated the student as she couldn't wait.
"You are so lucky!" Said one student.
"Oh man, they got that one." Said another student as she wanted that one.
The student walked off as more students claimed their tasks. One student got decorations, while Amanda's team got clean up duties. Then Diana pulled hers.
"You are in charge of summoning magic!" The creature said as the class clapped for Diana getting that one.
"Summoning magic? Its the highlight of the festival!" Said Hannah excited while Akko wished she got that one.
Then it was Akko's turn as she pulled out her sprout.
"You get sacrifice duty." Said the creature as Akko blinked hearing that.
"Huh. Did it say sacrifice duty?" Asked Akko confused as her team and other students were confused as well.
Lukic chuckled hearing that as Akko was worried now.
"For those in charge of the sacrifice…" Started Lukic as she brought a screen to show them.
"This vase contains an old ghost, Vajarois the Grieving." Continued Lukic as the students saw a large vase with three eyes on the upper top and what looked like two crossed eyes below them.
"Vajarois the Grieving?" Repeated Akko confused.
"Vajarois will wake at the stroke of midnight and will go one a wailing rampage." Said Lukic as the girls watched as the vase opened and out came a bedsheet type ghost with arms. It also had roots sticking out of its head and red glowing eyes that looked sad.
"That's why we make a sacrifice." Said Lukic like it was no problem, shocking the girls in the room. On the screen they watched as Vajarois chased three girls.
"Once Vajarois eats the sacrifice, it will go back to sleep until the next Samhain Festival." Finished Lukic as Akko's eye were wide as Vajarois catch the girls and ate them.
"Are we going to die?" Asked Akko worried as she was also worried for the cards she hadn't transformed yet.
"There is no danger to your life. The sacrifice passes through the ghost's body." Said Finnelan as she gets asked that question every year.
"Are you kidding me." Was all Akko could say. She was so hyped for this festival and now she wished it was over already.
Meanwhile all the girls in the class were laughing at her luck, expect of Diana, Lotte, and Sucy. Though Sucy looked like she couldn't wait for it.
"Be quite!" Said Diana as she stood up.
"It's time to take the festival seriously. If you want to chat, do it later." Continued Diana as she felt bad for Akko and her team.
"That's right." Agreed Finnelan.
"And Diana Cavendish, after a vote was cast the other day, you were chosen as Luna Nova's youngest ever Samhain Festival executive committee Chairman." Said Finnelan as the students clapped for Diana.
"Amazing Diana!" Praised Barbara.
"Way to go, Diana!" Praised Hannah.
But with Akko she looked at Diana who had her eyes closed. It made her wonder if she truly wanted this or was just expecting it.
"Everyone, let's do out best to help Diana make the festival a great success!" Said Finnelan as the class agreed with her.
Outside the class room float Ruby and Spinner who heard it all.
"What type of crazy festival is this? They're willing to feed their students to a ghost" Asked Ruby confused.
"I agree and putting everything on one student it not fair either." Agreed Spinner in disbelief.
"Maybe we should ask our masters to do something during this." Suggested Ruby as it may make the whole event better.
"We can't. Not with so many coming to the school, especially with the Li clan being there." Said Spinner as they would be a problem.
"Then I hope Akko and her guardians make it more fun." Said Ruby as Spinner agreed with her as they flew off.
Later in the red teams room Akko and her friends were hanging out there as they told Kero and Yue what they were doing for the festival.
"Wait sacrifice duty?" Asked Kero as he couldn't believe it.
"Yeah." Grumbled Akko as she couldn't believe her luck.
"What is this sacrifice duty?" Asked Yue confused as Lotte explained it to them. By the end the two guardians were speechless.
"Did you say Vajarois?" Asked Kero still in surprise.
"Yes." Said Lotte confused.
"I don't believe it. I thought they were going to cure her." Said Kero as this confused the girls.
"What are you taking about?" Asked Amanda curious.
"We don't know the whole story. But Vajarois was a princess form the 2nd century BC. She had good friends and a happy life. Until one day she lost it all. She ate something called the seed of Sorrow so she wouldn't forget them. But in doing so she ended up with a curse turning her into the ghost you saw." Explained Yue as this shocked the girls.
"Then why is she here?" Asked Akko confused.
"Luna Nova was trying to figure out how to undo her curse, but I guess as time went on they forgot until all they remembered was her part in the festival." Explained Kero as none of the girls knew what to say.
"I need to get some air." Said Akko as she got up and walked out.
"Boy I feel bad for Akko." Said Amanda as she saw the burdens Akko carried. And this probably wouldn't help.
"Yue where are you going?" Asked Lotte as Yue was heading for the door.
"To talk to your headmistress." Yue told her as he left.
"I'm coming too." Said Kero leaving the girls alone.
With Akko she was walking aimlessly through the halls of Luna Nova. As she walked her mind was all over the place. Learning the truth about Vajarois hurt. The school was to help her, not put her on display. But that was only a small part of what was getting to Akko.
While the events of the blue moon did help Akko, she was still under a lot of pressure. Headmistress Holbrooke told her that other schools want to learn how to use their inner magic as well. And as such asked her to draw up a curriculum.
'And I'm still a kid.' Thought Akko sadly as she saw some girls giving her a quick look.
And that was something else that was starting to happen. Some of the girls were giving her looks. Not bad looks but looks of worry.
'Not that I can blame them.' Thought Akko as the attacks were terrifying as she walked pass an open door.
"We're in charge of the mirror for the festival. That's what we wanted to talk to you about Diana." Said a voice inside the room making Akko curious as she looked inside.
"We gathered all the mirrors we can find, but we're not sure which one to pick." Said another student as two of them stood before Diana.
"So we want you to pick the best one for us." Said the first student as Akko saw various mirrors with each one different from the others.
"Of course." Said Diana as she started to look at the mirrors. As she did she saw Akko through the reflection of one of the mirrors, but said nor did nothing.
Diana then stopped at a mirror with a tree bark siding. Diana smiled a little bit as she could sense the magic in it better then if she didn't take Akko's class.
"Let's see. This one has the strongest magic." Started Diana as she looked at the mirror as her imaged changed and stuck out her tongue and pulled down her eye at Diana.
"But it seems to love pranks. If you polish it with fairy powder, you can keep it under control." Finished Diana as the mirror's actions didn't faze her.
"Really?" Asked one student hopeful.
"Yes. If you ask a professor and explain things to them, they will give you some." Said Diana.
"Thank you, Diana." Said One student happily.
"No wonder you're the executive committee chairman!" Said the other as the two ran off to get the powder.
"You will definitely be the Moonlit Witch!" Said the first student.
"And your safer to be around then Akko." Said the second one as Akko heard that and it hurt.
Seeing that they were gone Diana turned to the door Akko was in.
"You know it's rude to spy on people." Said Diana as she crossed her arms.
"It's not spying if you leave the door open." Countered Akko as she had a point.
"Are you ok?" Asked Diana as she heard what the one girl said about her.
"It's been going on for a bit now." Was all Akko said as she didn't answer the question.
"Still your hard at work." Said Akko changing topics.
"Unfortunately." Answered Diana as she felt exhausted.
"What do you mean?" Asked Akko confused.
"Sometimes it feels like the girls purposely forget these things just to be near me." Said Diana with a sigh as she dealt with more stupid request then real ones.
"The joys of being smarter than some teachers." Joked Akko as this caused Diana to let out a light laugh.
"Tell me is your team ready for your part?" Asked Diana curious.
"Get ready for what? All we have to do is get eaten." Said Akko as she left out what she just learnt.
"I guess." Admitted Diana as she did feel bad for Akko and her team.
"But as the owner of the cards it should be easy for you." Said Diana off handily as that was the final push for Akko.
"ENOUGH!" Screamed Akko as Diana was taken back by this.
"I came here to learn, to be a better magical user. But instead, I've been attack by some unknown force, ridiculed for not being in a magic family, and now people are starting to be afraid to be around me. And to top it all off I've had to write a lesson plan for other schools. This isn't what I wanted here."
Diana just stood there shocked. She knew Akko was going through a lot, but she would have never guessed it was that bad for her.
"Why can't I have it easier like you." Said Akko as she started to calm down.
"You think I have it easier?!" Questioned Diana as she got a furious look on her face.
"Unlike you I do come from a famous magical family and right now my aunt is destroying that name. I have to go extra miles, so when the time comes, I can take over. But because of that I have everyone from students, to teachers, to even some of the ground crew coming to me for answers."
Both girls were so fired up that they were unaware that Eriol heard them both as he stood near the door.
"It seems you both have a lot of baggage." Said Eriol lightly so neither could hear him.
"So how about a break from being you." Chuckled Eriol as he activated his magic.
Back in the room the two girls were still having their glaring match. But Akko broke it off when she sensed the magic.
"Not now!" Growled Akko as she didn't want to deal with it right now.
Diana understood what that meant as she looked around wondering what could happen.
But to both girls confusion and shock one of the Clow cards floated up between them. That was when it took its true form.
Diana blinked when she saw blue chameleon like creature before her. It also had a long tail with red eyes. And right now, it was looking at them.
"Oh no." Said Akko nervous.
"Akko what card it this?" Asked Diana as she couldn't remember it.
"It's the CHANGE card." Said Akko as she started to move away from Diana.
But her movements caused the CHANGE to jump up as it laned on Akko's head and it's tail landing on Diana's head. Then the two of them glowed blue as the CHANGE ran off.
Diana blinked as she felt different. That was when she noticed she moved somehow.
"Akko are you alright?" Asked Diana as she then realized that wasn't her voice.
"Diana." Said Akko in Diana's voice as Diana turned and saw herself. She then turned to a mirror and gasped. For what she saw was Akko doing everything she was doing.
"What happened?!" Asked Diana as she was panicking.
"Diana calm down." Instructed Akko as she put a calming hand on Diana's shoulder.
Diana for her part took some calming breaths as she calmed down.
"Akko, what happened?" Asked Diana as she was still confused and such but had it under control.
"Somehow the CHANGE card activated." Said Akko confused as she did nothing.
"What does this card do?" Asked Diana as she already had a good guess.
"It can swap the minds and bodies of two people." Said Akko as Diana was confused about something.
"Why did Clow Reed make such a card?" Diana Asked her as she saw no point in it.
"I have no idea." Admitted Akko as she then added. "But we need to find it."
"Why?" Asked Diana curious.
"If we don't switch make after a certain amount of time, we'll be stuck like this forever!" Warned Akko as Diana's eyes went wide.
"Ok. Then we can switch back." Said Diana as she didn't want to be stuck in Akko's body forever.
"Actually, we have to wait 24 hours to switch back." Said Akko as she saw the look on Diana's face.
'Or is it my face?' Thought Akko as this was confusing.
"But maybe if I transform it into an Akko card, we can do it faster." Suggested Akko as she wasn't sure.
"Ok. But how do we find it?" Asked Diana curious as Akko thought about it.
"We should get Kero and Yue to help." Said Akko as they needed more people to help.
"Ok, but no one please. I don't want word of this to go around." Requested Diana as Akko nodded.
"Of course." Akko told her before giggling. "At least we're better off then what happened to Li."
"Oh, what happened to him?" Asked Diana as she was very curious.
"He swapped with Kero." Said Akko with a giggle as Diana giggled too as the two headed out.
Elsewhere in the school Kero and Yue floated before headmistress Holbrooke in her office. The two told Holbrook everything they knew about Varjarois.
"I see. I had no idea that we were to help Varjarois." Admitted Holbrooke as she was never informed about this.
"Then you'll end this stupid sacrifice and help her?" Asked Kero hopeful.
"I'm afraid not." Said Holbrooke shocking Kero.
"Why not!" Demanded Kero as he couldn't believe what he just heard.
"If what you say is true. Then we must do what we can to help her. But right now Varjarois will awaken soon and I'm afraid to know what she could do if we do not put her back to sleep." Answered Holbrooke as she did feel they owed Varjarois, but she couldn't risk the school.
"What!" Said Kero as he was about to flew forward only for Yue to hold him back.
"And what if Akko cures her?" Yue asked her as this confused both Kero and Holbrooke.
"What are you saying Yue?" Asked Kero as he also voiced Holbrooke's question.
"It's Akko." Was all Yue said as that was enough for Kero who nodded in understanding.
Holbrooke looked at the two guardians confused. But she could feel the level of trust they have in Akko.
'Trust she shares with them.' She added in her head as she thought about it.
"If somehow Miss. Kagari did free Varjarois spirt. Normally I would disqualify her for destroying an event. But if what you say is true, I will allow her to still participate in the festival." Said Holbrooke as Kero and Yue smiled hearing that.
Then out of nowhere the doors to the room opened and Diana burst in.
"Kero, Yue we have a problem." Said Diana confusing the three of them greatly with her actions.
"Miss. Cavendish." Said Holbrooke in surprise.
"Akko wait!" Said Akko as she ran into the room and saw everyone.
"Headmistress I'm sorry for this." Said Akko as bowed to Holbrooke while the others blinked at this.
"Ok, what's going on here!" Demanded Kero confused.
"Kero, it's me Akko." Said Diana or rather Akko.
"Akko?" Said Kero confused.
"It was the CHANGE card." Said Akko as that made more sense for the two guardians.
"Why did you use the CHANGE card?" Asked Yue confused.
"I didn't." Said Akko confusing the two.
"Excuse me, but what is going on?" Asked Holbrooke confused.
"Allow me." Said Diana as she explained everything, while leaving out their fight.
Hearing all that Holbrooke didn't know what to say. Two things stood out for her though. The first was how could a Clow card activate on itself. And the other was why such a card existed. That was when she realized something worrying.
"What about the staff and students? Couldn't the CHANGE affect them?" Asked Holbrooke worried.
"No the Change can only use it's powers once every 24 hours." Said Kero making Holbrooke glad to hear that.
"But how do we change back?" Asked Diana as she didn't wish to be Akko for the rest of her life.
"The CHANGE couldn't have gotten far. And if a student or staff saw it, they should have reported it." Started Akko as she got back into her old card hunting mode.
"So Diana and me will try to sense it. And when we do Diana, you'll have to reseal it." Finished Akko as Diana had some worries.
"Akko how do I sense a card? And why do I have to reseal it?" Asked Diana as it felt like too much for her.
"You can Diana. You might not be number 1 in my class, but you have the blood of not just Cloud Reed, but Beatrix too. And you have me, Kero and Yue with you." Said Akko with a soft gentle face. Though to Diana it was weird seeing her face like that.
"Ok." Said Diana as Akko was right, but she was still nervous.
"Ok, me and Yue will check the south side of the school, while you and Kero check the north side. And we'll meet in the middle." Said Akko as Diana and Yue nodded.
"Wait why am I going with Diana?" Asked Kero curious.
"Because it would be easier to explain why Yue is with me then you." Answered Akko as this made Diana curious.
"And what will you say?" Asked Diana as lots of students and staff will be coming to her today.
"I'm afraid I can't help you right now. Something very important has come up. I'm afraid I can't go into detail about it, but it's so important that Yue here has offered to help me." Said Akko doing her best Diana impression.
Diana stood there as she thought about it. The amount of detail Akko was leaving out and how she was saying it should keep most students and some staff away.
"That should work, just keep the detail as vague as possible." Said Diana impressed.
"Ok let's go." Said Akko as the four off them left.
"I was forgotten." Said Holbrooke as they forgot about her. Though she was impressed by how fast Akko came up with a plan to capture the run-away card.
A little later with Diana and Kero the two were wandering the halls. But Diana was struggling to find the CHANGE card. She wasn't used to sensing magic like Akko.
"Want to take a break?" Asked Kero as he saw the frustration starting to form on Akko's/Diana's face.
"No." Said Diana as she couldn't afford to rest.
"Ok, but don't push yourself." Warned Kero as he didn't want Diana to push herself too hard.
As they walked Diana got see the looks Akko was getting. They weren't bad or anything, but it was more along the lines of people were a bit scared of her or rather Akko.
'Is this what she's dealing with lately?' Wondered Diana as someone like Akko would be really hurt by this.
Elsewhere with Akko she and Yue had to slip away from everyone.
"That was the fifth group asking for help." Groaned Akko as she knew Diana was busy, but not this busy.
"They are asking for a lot." Agreed Yue as he wondered if they really needed the help or wanted Diana's attention.
"Diana!" Cried a voice as Akko turned around and saw Hannah and Barbara coming her way.
"Yes." Said Akko in her best Diana like tone.
"Are you ready to beat Akko in the festival?" Asked Hannah with a grin, while Akko did her best to keep calm.
"I will do my best, but Akko is not one to be underestimated." Said Akko hoping Diana would say something like that.
"Why is Yue with you?" Asked Barbara curious why Akko's guardian was with her.
"I'm helping her with an important task." Said Yue as the two girls nodded.
"Can we help?" Asked Hannah curious.
"I'm afraid not." Said Akko as she turned around and left.
"Was it just me or was there something off with Diana?" Asked Barbara curious.
"Stress maybe?" Answered Hannah unsure herself.
Back with Akko and Yue, Akko let out a breath of relief.
"This is harder than I thought." Admitted Akko as it felt like every time she turned around someone wanted something from her.
"Diana's success has made her famous. But at the same time made it harder for herself." Said Yue as he saw it with Clow Reed and Beatrix in the past.
Akko saw a mirror nearby and looked into it. As she looked at Diana, she knew Diana had a lot of pressure on herself, but she didn't realize it was this much. Akko closed her eye wishing she could lessen the burden on Diana when she felt it.
Akko eyes opened as she turned to look in the direction, she sensed the CHANGE card.
"I sense it." Said Akko as she and Yue rushed off.
Soon the two ended up in front of the school's botanical garden.
"It's in here." Said Akko with determination.
"Yue, go find Diana and Kero and bring them here. I'll find the CHANGE while you do." Ordered Akko as Yue nodded.
A little later Yue had found the others and the rushed into the garden.
"Where's Akko?" Asked Diana as she was more worried about her then her body.
"Over here!" Said Akko quietly as she kneeled by some bushes. Seeing this the others joined her and saw what she was looking at.
It was the CHANGE card laying at the foot of the Jennifer memorial tree.
"Ok Diana bring out my staff and reseal it." Said Akko as Diana nodded and brought out the key, thankful she remembered the chant needed.
"Oh, key that hides the power of the stars, reveal your true power before me. I, Akko command you under our contract. Release!" Chanted Diana only for nothing to happen.
"What happened?" Asked Akko confused as Diana did everything right.
"I think the problem is the contract in under your name Akko. And even though Diana has your body, the staff know who she is." Explained Kero with a frown as this will be a problem.
"Then what do we do?" Asked Diana as Akko got an idea.
"We do it together." Suggested Akko as the others were confused.
"If I chant and you put the magic in, we can do it." Said Akko as they didn't have any other ideas.
"Ok." Said Diana as it was all they had.
Soon the two held the key between their hands as Akko started.
"Oh, key that hides the power of the stars, reveal your true power before me. I, Akko command you under our contract. Release!" Chanted Akko, while Diana put the magic into it.
Then to their joy the key turned into the staff.
"Ok, so how do I seal it?" Asked Diana as while she saw videos, she wasn't sure what to do.
Akko stood there as Diana had a point. Then Akko felt the words come to her again.
"I have it." Said Akko as she stood up as did Diana. The two then held the staff together as they looked at the CHANGE card as it was still resting.
"Card created by clow, return to the form you are meant to be in. While discarding your old form and be reborn, under the name of Akko, your new master!" Chanted Akko as Diana gasped as she felt all the magic being used to seal the CHANGE.
Then a card appeared before them as the CHANGE card then floated and was sucked into the card. When it was done the CHANGE card had turned into an Akko card.
The card then floated down towards Akko and Diana who both caught it.
Akko smiled as she kind a missed the feeling of resealing a card. While Diana was amazed by how much magical power Akko had.
'I knew she had a great deal. But to feel the magic she uses almost daily.' Thought Diana as she was a lost for words.
"We make a great team Diana." Said Akko suddenly surprising Diana.
"But Akko you did most of the work." Admitted Diana as Akko came up with the plan and the idea to capture the CHANGE.
"But we did it together." Said Akko with a smile.
"Lets just change back if we can." Said Diana as she looked away.
Kero and Yue saw this and shared a look. It was almost like watching Clow Reed and Beatrix again.
"Ok." Agreed Akko as the two activated the CHANGE card.
And to the two's joy transforming the CHANGE card gave it enough power to change the two back into their own bodies. And back in their own bodies the girls felt a wave of relief wash over them.
"I'd better get back to the school now." Said Diana as she had a lot of responsibilities right now.
"Yeah, I lost track of how many teams came rushing to me for your help." Admitted Akko as she wished she could help. But she also knew Diana had this.
"And Akko good luck in the festival." Said Diana as she walked off.
Seeing that she was gone, Akko turned to her guardians with a serious look on her face. A look that they both shared.
"How?" Started Akko worried. "How could someone activate a Clow card?"
"I don't know." Admitted Kero as he was clueless.
"The Clow cards can only work for two people. The first is you Akko and the second is Clow Reed. But he's been dead for centuries." Said Yue as it was concerning and confusing.
"And you two to a degree." Said Akko as she seen Yue stop two cards before.
"Where are you going with this Akko?" Asked Kero confused.
"You two told me about Ruby and Spinner. What if whoever behind this somehow gave them the power to affect the cards." Explained Akko as that scared the two, but it was the only thing they had to go on.
But little did they know Eriol, and his group were nearby and chuckled at her guess.
"Like we have that power." Said Spinner.
"True but if find that idea most interesting." Said Eriol as the idea made him smile.
"Well we still have a lot to do for the festival." Said Rebecca as Eriol nodded in agreement. As they left without being seen all four were curious to see what Akko and her team would do for a certain ghost.
I hope you all enjoyed the little shenanigan I put Akko and Diana through. In the tv series Akko turned into Diana because of a mirror. And thinking of the cards I had to use the CHANGE in this situation. And for those of you who wished it lasted longer keep in mind that neither would want to stay in the others body longer than they had to.
