(Frankie & Jane & Tommy)

Jane, Frankie and Tommy were desperate to know who their mother's boyfriend was. They already knew it wasn't Cavanaugh. They hoped he was a good man. They had decided to talk about it once at the Dirty Robber after a game. TJ had stayed with his aunts and nonna. TJ loved staying with them and the three women were happy to keep him and spend time together and also leave the Rizzoli siblings alone. Jane had gone to get the drinks she had ordered for her brothers and her and this time, she was not wrong because once shortly after she got together with Maura, Jane had forgotten that Tommy didn't drink alcohol but he had quickly noticed and didn't hold it against her and had put it down to the fact that his sister was swimming in happiness. Jane once seated said

"Hey guys, do you have any idea who Ma is seeing?" »

Tommy said

"I know she was seeing a Ron Hanson at one point but other than that…

Yeah, he was her cardiologist, Maura recommended it to her but it didn't last. In a way it was good, he had a daughter and a grandson

Frankie asked

"Did you ask around Jane?"

Oh yeah. I wasn't going to let Ma date someone I knew nothing about

Tommy said laughing

"You wanted to be the only one dating a doctor?"

Jane and Frankie laughed and Jane said

"Shut up! There's only one Maura Dorthea Isles anyway and she's my girlfriend. You should find someone too

Oh but excuse me! I'm dating someone"

Frankie said

"No kidding?

A former client, who I see from time to time when I can find someone to babysit TJ. We'll see how it goes and before you ask me, yes, she's much better than Lydia.

Jane said

" Well I hope it goes well for you Tommy. Ma is seeing someone and since she got a gift from the guy for Valentine's Day I can only assume that he and Ma have been seeing each other for a while

Frankie asked

"Are you sure it's not Cavanaugh?"

I'm sure, Ma told me and she told Maura too so I don't see why she would hide it if it was him

If it had gone further I wouldn't have minded. Cavanaugh is a good guy and a good cop. He would have been a good husband for Ma

Yes yes but you say that because you weren't the one who discovered him in his underwear and Ma wearing only a dressing gown when he fainted. I had a hard time looking him in the eye the following Monday when he arrived at the station. Brrr! It took me over a year to get that image out of my mind"

Frankie and Tommy laughed and Frankie said

"Now Ma has to be careful in case you and Maura... Well, you get the idea Janie"

Jane slapped her brother on the head and the 3 Rizzolis laughed even harder and Tommy continued

"Do you have any idea who it could be?"

Jane replied

"I don't really know. Maybe it's the salesman from the bakery that's not far from Maura's house."

Jane corrected

"Not far from my house! Damn! I have to get used to it. I moved in four months ago and I'm still wrong"

Tommy said laughing

"But you should be used to it since you've been living with her for so long.

Yeah but it's not the same now. We're in the same bed even though we used to sleep in the same bed sometimes before... Anyway! To get back to the salesman in question, Ma finds him very nice and friendly »

Frankie says

He is younger than Ma, not by much but younger, I don't see Ma doing the same thing as Pa »

Tommy says

"I don't see her doing that but hey, it's possible. Ma isn't married so it's possible even if I doubt it"

Frankie says

"And why wouldn't it be Korsak?

Jane says

"Oh stop your bullshit! Ma isn't going to flirt with all our superiors anyway?

He's a nice guy and he's known Ma for a while so why not? And maybe he's the one who hit on her? They've gone out together several times

You don't necessarily sleep with people you've been friends with for a while"

Frankie and Tommy looked at Jane with a very mocking look and Frankie said with a smile

"Yes normally but there are exceptions. Aren't there Jane? Seriously, sometimes you talk too quickly sis

Yeah, I know it's one of my faults but Korsak nonetheless…

If so, so much the better!

Can you imagine working with Ma's boyfriend?

We worked well with Cavanaugh and then Vince is better than a man we don't know. I don't want to have a guy as a father-in-law who wouldn't respect Ma"

Tommy says :

"I don't know him as well as you do but he's nice and he's very nice to TJ and TJ likes him a lot. Personally if it had to be my father-in-law, I would say why not?

He's divorced 3 times

Jane, he's not the only cop to be divorced and his ex-wives have never complained about him and you know you have to have patience of iron and steel to be the wife of a police officer or to be called Maura Isles

Or Nina Holiday

Exactly

Hey! If any of your girlfriends can't stand being with a cop anymore, let them know that a plumber is also very attractive"

Tommy laughed heartily. Frankie and Jane did too and Frankie said

"Don't touch Nina if you want to have a chance of having another child one day.

Tommy, you forget who my girlfriend is and what job she does, you could end up with something missing between your legs"

Tommy laughed so hard he almost choked and then he took a sip of his drink to catch his breath and Jane said

"Do you think it could be Pa?

After what happened? I don't think so and Pa is still in Florida right? Tommy?

From what he told me yes and frankly I don't see them getting back together, I've heard stories of couples who got back together after a divorce but still...given what happened...

What if it did?

Frankie, in a way I'd be happy but no, no! Pa went too far, I'm the last to realize it but then I understood a lot of things and it would be like getting back together with Lydia. A little love for a lot of trouble"

Jane says

"I agree! I prefer Korsak. if Ma finds someone good and who respects her, that's the main thing. I don't care who he is.

Yes, she deserves it

She fully deserves a man to love her and take care of her

Exactly. Tommy? Have you heard from Pa?

He's doing well, still a little tired but he seems to be cured, he's still working but he broke up with the woman he was seeing. He wants to come up to Boston to see us. He told me to kiss you from him

Did you tell him about Maura and me?

Certainly not and I didn't say anything about Frankie and Nina either, that's up to you to say and not me

I'm afraid of his reaction, he doesn't like Maura very much and he's not really a fan of homosexuals

Yeah so what? It's none of his business! Ok he's our father, Ok he's my son's grandfather and ok he wants to get back in touch and we appreciate that he does but everyone loves Maura and Nina and TJ loves Maura just as much as he loves Nina and he calls them Aunt Maura and Aunt Nina. If Pa doesn't understand that his daughter is happy with a woman and his first son is happy with a black woman then he should stay in Florida. I don't want a grandfather like that for TJ!"

Tommy's words surprised Jane and Frankie a little, who knew that Tommy was the one who had stayed closest to their father during the divorce proceedings and even after, even if he had not accepted the fact that Frank Sr. had filed for an annulment of his marriage.

Jane said

"We'll still have to tell him one day, we'll have to find a date for that, I prefer to tell him face to face rather than on the phone but I want Ma, Maura and Nina to be there and for them all to agree, after all, it concerns them too.

I'll tell them next Sunday. After all, it's me he's calling.

Maura and Nina want to make up with Pa and Ma has moved on

Maura will have no problem paying for Pa's plane ticket, she told me

So, it's good for next Sunday"

The Rizzoli siblings then started talking about different sports while having a few drinks and laughing. Jane, Frankie and Tommy loved these times when it was just the three of them and each was happy for his brother and sister. They had found happiness and hoped their mother would find it too

The End
