Chapter 119: Casey vs Falkner! And an Encounter in Sprout Tower!
Hello everyone, in this chapter the first half will cover Casey's battle against Falkner and the second will have the group enter Sprout Tower. I hope you all enjoy it!
The chapter begins where the last chapter left off with Casey's gym battle against Falkner starting. It's Casey's Rattata going up against Falkner's Doduo as Casey speaks.
"Let's do this Rattata! Get in close with Quick Attack!" Casey calls with the mon nodding as it begins running forward heading for Doduo as Falkner speaks.
"Doduo jump!" Falkner calls with the two headed bird nodding as it quickly jumps in the air avoiding Rattata's attack. Casey looks at Doduo and is surprised by how high it jumped making it look like it's flying as Falkner speaks.
"Doduo use Swords Dance then Acrobatics!" Falkner calls. Doduo sharply increases its physical attack power, glows in blue flying energy and descends heading for Rattata as Casey speaks.
"Rattata use Quick Attack to back away!" Casey calls. Rattata nods as it sees Doduo coming and quickly backs away with Quick Attack narrowly avoiding Doduo's attack. This causes Doduo to crash on the battlefield creating a dust cloud as Rattata lands a few feet away Casey speaks.
"Now Rattata use Ice Beam!" Casey calls and when the mon is about to fire the beam Falkner speaks.
"Doduo stop it with Acrobatics!" Falkner calls. Out of the dust cloud appears Doduo who shoots forward and reaches Rattata instantly. Doduo begins hitting Rattata repeatedly causing more damage to the mon as it cries out in pain. Doduo then hits Rattata one more time and sends it flying as Casey speaks.
"Rattata don't give up! Use Ice Beam!" Casey calls. Over with Rattata it groans in pain but then manages to fire the icy beam and hit Doduo causing super effective damage to the mon. Doduo cries out in pain as over with Rattata it safely lands back on the battlefield as Casey speaks.
"Great job Rattata now use Quick Attack!" Casey calls with the mon nodding as it shoots forward heading for the two headed bird Falkner speaks.
"Doduo jump in the air to dodge!" Falkner calls with the mon nodding as when it tries to jump it can't. Doduo then looks down and sees that its feet are frozen in ice surprising it along with Falkner. This allows for Rattata to hit Doduo causing more damage to the mon as Falkner speaks.
"Doduo now that Rattata's close use Fury Attack!" "Rattata use Screech!" Both trainers' call. When the two Doduo heads go to peck Rattata the mon quickly lets out a loud screech stopping Doduo and hurting their ears. Doduo can feel its physical defense getting lowered as Casey speaks.
"Rattata use Super Fang!" Casey calls. Rattata's teeth glow white and bite down on Doduo causing more damage to the mon as Falkner speaks.
"Doduo get Rattata off you with Drill Peck!" "Rattata use Double Team!" Both trainers' call. The heads of Doduo's beaks spin fast and go to hit Rattata. Rattata quickly creates multiple clones of itself and dodges the attack causing the two headed bird to hit the clones instead. The real Rattata lands on the battlefield a few feet away and has its mouth opened as Casey speaks.
"Rattata use Ice Beam again!" Casey calls. Rattata nods and fires out another icy beam that makes contact with Doduo causing super effective damage. Doduo cries out in pain as the Ice Beam completely freezes it. Falkner has a surprised look on his face as Casey smiles and speaks.
"Okay Rattata let's finish this! Use Quick Attack!" Casey calls with Rattata nodding as it shoots forward and makes contact with Doduo. Rattata manages to break Doduo out of the ice sending the mon flying as it falls on the battlefield a few feet away landing on its back as Falkner speaks.
"Doduo!" Falkner calls in worry as he along with everyone can see that Doduo is knocked out the ref speaks.
"Doduo's unable to battle Rattata's the winner!" The ref calls making Casey happy as she speaks.
"Great job Rattata we got the first victory!" Casey says with Rattata nodding as it smiles back at her. Off to the side Misty speaks.
"Looks like Casey's doing great so far." Misty says with Ash and Brock nodding. Back on the battlefield Falkner returns Doduo back to its Pokeball, tells the mon thank you and to get a good rest. Falkner puts the ball away as he looks over at Casey and speaks.
"I have to say Casey for a beginning trainer you're pretty skilled." Falkner says as Casey speaks.
"Thank you and we just need to beat two more Pokémon, and that badge is ours!" Casey says while having a confident look on her face and making Falkner smirk as he speaks.
"I like your confidence Casey now let's see how you'll deal with this one. Murkrow Go!" Falkner says as he throws the ball forward and sends out a Murkrow. When the mon appears, it looks at Rattata with the mon looking back. Off to the side Brock speaks.
"Falkner's next Pokémon is a Murkrow, and it looks tough." Brock says with Ash and Misty nodding. Back on the battlefield Casey looks at Murkrow and begins to think.
"This Murkrow looks strong it would be a bad idea to keep Rattata in as he's already taken so much damage from Doduo." Casey says to herself as she pulls out Rattata's Pokeball and speaks.
"Rattata return!" Casey says with the mon nodding as it goes back in its Pokeball. Casey then puts the ball away, pulls out another Pokeball and speaks.
"Hoothoot Go!" Casey says as she throws the ball forward and sends out her Hoothoot. When the mon appears, it looks at Murkrow with Murkrow looking at it as Falkner speaks.
"A Hoothoot's your next choice huh? I'm curious to see how it'll fair against my Murkrow." Falkner says as Casey speaks.
"Don't worry you'll see soon enough." Casey responds as Hoothoot along with Murkrow get into battle stances. The ref calls for the battle to continue as Casey speaks.
"Let's go Hoothoot! Use Hypnosis!" "Murkrow use Sucker Punch!" Both trainers' call. When Hoothoot goes to use Hypnosis Murkrow disappears then reappears in front of Hoothoot. Murkrow's right wing glows in dark energy and slaps Hoothoot hard across the face making it stop using Hypnosis and causing damage to it. Falkner then calls for his next command.
"Now Murkrow use Dark Pulse!" Falkner calls. Before Casey can tell Hoothoot to dodge Murkrow fires out a large beam of dark energy from its mouth that connects with Hoothoot sending it crashing back on the battlefield as Casey speaks.
"Hoothoot!" Casey calls in worry as when the smoke clears Hoothoot's laying on its back groaning in pain. Off to the side Misty speaks.
"Ouch that had to hurt." Misty says as Brock speaks.
"It also looked like a critical hit too meaning that Falkner's Murkrow probably has the Super Luck ability." Brock says with Ash and Misty nodding as they continue to watch the battle. Back on the battlefield Hoothoot's groaning in pain as Falkner speaks.
"Murkrow it's time to defeat Hoothoot! Use Aerial Ace!" Falkner calls with his Murkrow nodding as it descends heading for Hoothoot. Over with Casey she sees Murkrow heading for Hoothoot and just when she's about to call for Hoothoot to dodge she gets an idea and speaks.
"Hoothoot don't move and look at Murkrow!" Casey calls with the owl nodding as it stays still and looks at the incoming Murkrow. Off to the side Misty speaks.
"I'm surprised that Casey's having Hoothoot stay still." Misty says as Brock speaks.
"She must have a plan." Brock responds with Misty and Ash nodding as they continue to watch the battle. Back on the battlefield Murkrow's getting closer to Hoothoot as Falkner speaks.
"Hit it Murkrow!" Falkner calls with the crow nodding as when it goes to hit Hoothoot Casey speaks.
"Now Hoothoot use Hypnosis!" Casey calls surprising Falkner as Hoothoot lets out a loud "Hoot!" and sends out a hypnotic ray at the incoming Murkrow making contact with it. When that happens, Murkrow closes its eyes and falls on the ground next to Hoothoot as it's now fast asleep. Over with Falkner he has a surprised look on his face and speaks.
"Murkrow wake up!" Falkner calls but the mon is still sleeping as Casey speaks.
"Let's go Hoothoot use Aerial Ace!" Casey calls. Hoothoot nods as it shoots forward at a fast speed and hits Murkrow causing damage and knocking the mon high into the air. Hoothoot begins flying after Murkrow as Casey speaks.
"Hoothoot use Nasty Plot then Air Cutter!" "Murkrow wake up and dodge!" Both trainers' call. Unfortunately for Falkner Murkrow's still asleep making it so it can't dodge and allowing for Hoothoot to get above Murkrow. Hoothoot sharply raises its special attack power then flaps its wings forward, sending out multiple X shape slashes of wind that connect with Murkrow and send the mon crashing back on the ground creating a dust cloud as Falkner speaks.
"Murkrow!" Falkner calls in worry. When the dust clears it shows Murkrow laying on its back groaning in pain and has woken up from its slumber. When Murkrow begins to stand back up Casey speaks.
"Hoothoot don't let it stand back up use Aerial Ace!" Casey calls with Hoothoot nodding as it quickly descends at a fast speed going to hit Murkrow as Falkner speaks.
"Murkrow dodge!" "Do it Hoothoot!" Both trainers' call. Before Murkrow can dodge, Hoothoot hits the mon creating an explosion as Falkner speaks.
"Murkrow!" Falkner calls in worry as out of the smoke appears Hoothoot who flies over to Casey's side of the battlefield and looks forward waiting to see the results. When the smoke clears everyone can see Murkrow laying on its back and is knocked out. The ref makes the call.
"Murkrow's unable to battle Hoothoot's the winner!" The ref calls allowing for Casey and Hoothoot to cheer. Off to the side the others cheer as well. Back on the battlefield Falkner returns Murkrow back to its Pokeball, tells the mon thank you and to get a good rest. Falkner then puts the ball away as he looks over at Casey and speaks.
"You're doing well so far Casey." Falkner says as Casey speaks.
"Thanks, and we just need to beat one more then we'll win!" Casey states with her Hoothoot agreeing with her as Falkner smiles. Falkner pulls out his next Pokeball and speaks.
"Let's see you stay confident once I bring out this one. Pidgeotto Go!" Falkner says as he throws the ball forward and sends out a Pidgeotto. When the mon appears, it looks forward and has a serious look on its face as Casey speaks.
"So, a Pidgeotto's his last Pokémon and it looks strong but I'm sure Hoothoot can take it down." Casey says to herself as she looks at Hoothoot and speaks.
"Hoothoot let's keep going!" Casey says with Hoothoot nodding as it along with Pidgeotto get into battle stances. The ref calls for the battle to continue as Casey speaks.
"Hoothoot use Air Cutter!" Casey calls. Hoothoot's wings glow and flaps them forward sending out multiple X shaped slashes of wind at Pidgeotto as Falkner speaks.
"Counter with Hurricane!" Falkner calls. Pidgeotto flaps its wings fast and summons a large Hurricane that connects with the X shaped slashes of wind and easily gets rid of them. The Hurricane heads for Hoothoot as Casey speaks.
"Hoothoot stop it with Psychic!" Casey calls with Hoothoot nodding as its eyes glow and fires out the waves of psychic energy that connect with the Hurricane and stop it in place. Once Hoothoot does that Pidgeotto suddenly appears behind the mon surprising the owl along with Casey as Falkner speaks.
"Use Wing Attack!" Falkner calls. Pidgeotto's left wing glows white and slaps Hoothoot hard in the back causing damage and sending the mon flying. This causes Hoothoot to lose its concentration on the Hurricane causing the move to be active and sucking in Hoothoot. Inside the Hurricane Hoothoot's being spun around and is crying out in pain. A couple seconds later the Hurricane disappears, Hoothoot's groaning in pain as Pidgeotto appears in front of the mon Falkner speaks.
"Finish it with Aerial Ace!" "Hoothoot quick use Hypnosis!" Both trainers' call. Hoothoot's unable to use Hypnosis in time as Pidgeotto shoots forward and hits Hoothoot causing more damage to it. Hoothoot's sent flying and crashes back on the battlefield creating a dust cloud as Casey speaks.
"Hoothoot!" Casey calls in worry as when the dust clears Hoothoot's laying on its back knocked out. The ref makes the call.
"Hoothoot's unable to battle Pidgeotto's the winner!" The ref calls allowing for Falkner and Pidgeotto to smile. On the other side of the battlefield Casey returns Hoothoot back to its Pokeball and tells the mon thank you. Casey then puts the ball away as she pulls out her next Pokeball and speaks.
"Rattata come back out!" Casey says as she throws the ball forward and sends her Rattata back in. When the mon appears, it's groaning in pain from its previous battle with Doduo as Falkner speaks.
"Your Rattata looks tired are you sure that it was wise of you to bring it back in?" Falkner asks as Casey speaks.
"Yes, it was!" Casey responds with Falkner nodding. Casey then looks at Rattata and begins to think.
"It's true that Rattata is tired but as long as I can have him dodge Pidgeotto's attacks with Quick Attack and land a few Ice Beams Rattata should be able to win this. Casey says to herself as she speaks.
"Let's do this Rattata!" Casey says with the mon nodding as it along with Pidgeotto get into battle stances. The ref calls for the battle to continue as Casey speaks.
"Let's attack first Rattata! Use Quick Attack then Ice Beam!" Casey calls with the mon nodding as when it's about to run forward Falkner speaks.
"Use Aerial Ace!" Falkner calls. Pidgeotto nods as it shoots forward at blinding speed and hits Rattata causing damage to the mon and knocking it high into the air. Casey's surprised by how fast Pidgeotto was as Falkner speaks.
"Pidgeotto use Hurricane!" "Rattata counter with Ice Beam!" Both trainers' call. Pidgeotto flaps its wings fast as it summons a large Hurricane that heads for Rattata. Rattata sees the move coming and quickly fires out an Ice Beam. Once the beam makes contact the Hurricane easily destroys it surprising both Casey and Rattata as Rattata is then sucked inside the Hurricane. Inside the Hurricane Rattata's being spun around and is crying out in pain as Casey speaks.
"Rattata!" Casey calls in worry as a couple seconds later the Hurricane disappears and Rattata falls back on the battlefield creating a dust cloud. When the dust clears everyone can see Rattata lying on its stomach and is knocked out. The ref makes the call.
"Rattata's unable to battle Pidgeotto's the winner!" The ref calls allowing for Falkner and Pidgeotto to smile. Off to the side Misty speaks.
"Now that Rattata's down both Casey and Falkner have one Pokémon left." Misty says as Brock speaks.
"This next match will decide the victor." Brock says with Misty and Ash nodding as they continue to watch the battle. Back on the battlefield Casey returns Rattata back to tis Pokeball and tells the mon thank you. She puts the ball away as Falkner speaks.
"We're both down to are last Pokémon I'm curious to see who your final one is." Falkner says with Casey nodding as she begins to think.
"Let's see I could bring in Pidgey but seeing just how fast and strong Falkner's Pidgeotto is. I get the feeling that Pidgey isn't going to stand a chance. So, this means that you're my only option." Casey says to herself while holding her final Pokeball in her hand. She then looks forward and speaks.
"Okay Falkner you want to see my final Pokémon well here it is! The star player of my team Chikorita!" Casey says as she throws the ball forward and sends out her Chikorita. When the mon appears, it has a serious look on its face and looks at Pidgeotto with Pidgeotto looking back at it. Over with Falkner he has both a surprised and confused look on his face and speaks.
"A Chikorita's your final Pokémon? But it's a grass type it stands no chance against my Pidgeotto who's a flying type. Seeing as you're travelling with Ash and his friends, I thought you'd know better." Falkner says as Casey speaks.
"Well, I also learned from them that just because you have the type advantage it doesn't matter and I know that Chikorita's going to win!" Casey states with her Chikorita nodding as Falkner speaks.
"I'll admit you have a point there I shouldn't underestimate your Chikorita because it's a grass type I'm sorry." Falkner says apologetically as he continues to speak.
"But now that I'm not going to underestimate your Chikorita you're now going to see the full power of Pidgeotto!" Falkner states with his Pidgeotto agreeing with him. Casey gets a smile on her face and speaks.
"That's what we like to hear! And we'll use our full power too!" Casey replies with Chikorita agreeing with her as after that the two trainers get serious and Chikorita along with Pidgeotto get into battle stances. The ref begins to speak.
"This is the final battle both trainers have one Pokémon left whoever defeats their opponents Pokémon first will be declared the winner!" The ref says with both trainers nodding as he continues to speak.
"Now let the final battle begin!" The ref calls as Falkner speaks.
"Pidgeotto use Aerial Ace!" Falkner calls. Pidgeotto instantly shoots forward going to hit Chikorita as Casey speaks.
"Chikorita use Protect!" Casey calls. Chikorita quickly summons a protective barrier and blocks Pidgeotto's attack causing the mon to be bounced away making it spin out of control as Casey speaks.
"Chikorita use Poison Powder!" Casey calls. Chikorita sends out a poison powder that heads for Pidgeotto as Falkner speaks.
"Pidgeotto dodge then use Hurricane!" Falkner calls. Up in the air Pidgeotto manages to readjust itself and dodges the Poison Powder. Pidgeotto's about to use Hurricane as Casey speaks.
"Quick Chikorita use Sweet Scent!" Casey calls. Chikorita points the leaf on its head forward and sends out a sweet aroma that reaches Pidgeotto making the mon stop in its tracks as it smells the scent. Pidgeotto has a happy smile on its face as Casey speaks.
"Good job Chikorita now use Poison Powder!" "Pidgeotto quick blow it away with Hurricane!' Both trainers' call. Unfortunately for Falkner Pidgeotto can't dodge in time as the Poison Powder successfully makes contact with Pidgeotto. Pidgeotto begins to cough as it's now poisoned surprising Falkner, as Casey speaks.
"Yes, it worked!" Casey says happily as she goes to call for her next command.
"Okay Chikorita use Razor Leaf!" Casey calls with Chikorita nodding as it swings its leaf forward firing out multiple sharp leaves that head for Pidgeotto as Falkner speaks.
"Pidgeotto dodge then use Aerial Ace!" Falkner calls. Pidgeotto nods as it manages to easily dodge the razor-sharp leaves. Pidgeotto takes some poison damage then quickly descends heading for Chikorita as Casey speaks.
"Chikorita use Protect!" Casey calls. Chikorita nods as it summons a protective barrier and blocks Pidgeotto's attack making the mon bounce away as Casey speaks.
"Now use Tackle then Razor Leaf!" Casey calls. Chikorita shoots forward and hits Pidgeotto causing more damage then fires out multiple razor sharp leaves that hit Pidgeotto making the mon cry out in pain. Pidgeotto's sent flying and falls back on the battlefield landing on its stomach. Pidgeotto's groaning in pain as Falkner speaks.
"Pidgeotto get up!" Falkner calls and when Pidgeotto tries to stand up it takes poison damage making it stay down. Falkner grits his teeth while Casey smiles and speaks.
"Okay Chikorita it's time we finish this! Use Razor Leaf!" Casey calls with Chikorita nodding as when it goes to use the move Falkner smiles.
"Pidgeotto use Aerial Ace!" Falkner calls with Pidgeotto nodding as just when Chikorita's about to fire the razor-sharp leaves Pidgeotto shoots forward and hits Chikorita causing super effective damage to the mon. Chikorita groans in pain as Pidgeotto looks at Chikorita Falkner speaks.
"Now use Hurricane!" "Chikorita quick use Protect!" Both trainers' call. Pidgeotto takes some poison damage then lets out a roar summoning a large Hurricane that heads for Chikorita. Chikorita's about to summon a protective barrier but was too late as the Hurricane sucks it in. Inside the Hurricane Chikorita's crying out in pain as the move is causing super effective damage. A couple seconds later the Hurricane disappears and Chikorita's floating high in the air. Pidgeotto appears in front of Chikorita and has its right wing ready as Falkner speaks.
"Pidgeotto use Wing Attack!" "Chikorita look out!" Both trainers' call. Before Chikorita can do anything Pidgeotto slaps Chikorita hard across the face with its right wing causing super effective damage and sending Chikorita crashing back down on the battlefield creating a dust cloud. Casey has a worried look on her face and speaks.
"Chikorita!" Casey calls in worry as when the dust clears everyone can see Chikorita laying on its stomach groaning in pain and stands back up. Casey has a smile on her face as over with Falkner he speaks.
"It can still battle after taking 3 super effective flying type attacks?" Falkner says to himself. Off to the side Misty speaks.
"It's great that Chikorita didn't get knocked out from those hits." Misty says as Brock speaks.
"Yeah, but as you can see Chikorita took a lot of damage if she gets hit by one more attack she'll lose." Brock says with Misty nodding. Over with Ash he continues to watch the battle and speaks.
"Come on Casey." Ash says to himself as back on the battlefield Falkner looks over at Casey and speaks.
"I've to say Casey your Chikorita has proven itself to be strong by giving Pidgeotto a challenge, but I believe it's time we end this with Pidgeotto's final attack." Falkner says as he calls for his next command.
"Pidgeotto end this with Aerial Ace!" Falkner calls. Pidgeotto takes some poison damage then shoots forward heading for Chikorita as Casey speaks.
"Chikorita use Protect!" Casey calls. Chikorita tries to summon the barrier but is too injured. Chikorita sees Pidgeotto closing in on it everyone watches as Falkner speaks.
"This is the end!" "Chikorita! DON'T GIVE UP!" Both trainers' say. Back on the battlefield Pidgeotto's about to hit Chikorita as the plant mon heard Casey's voice gets a determined look on its face and speaks.
"CHI! KAAAAAAAAAAAAA!" Chikorita lets out a loud yell as it summons multiple rocks filled with purple energy and shoots them forward. The rocks collide with Pidgeotto doing super effective damage to the mon making it cry out in pain. Falkner along with the gang have surprised looks on their faces as Misty speaks.
"That's Ancient Power!" Misty says as Brock speaks.
"Not wanting to lose Casey's first gym battle Chikorita dug deep and taught herself Ancient Power." Brock says with the others nodding. Meanwhile back on the battlefield Casey has a surprised look on her face but then smiles and speaks.
"Amazing Chikorita you learned Ancient Power!" Casey says with Chikorita nodding as it also feels that all of its stats have increased. Over with Ash he speaks.
"Casey hurry and finish it before Pidgeotto counters!" Ash calls with Casey nodding as she looks forward and speaks.
"Chikorita quick use Ancient Power again!" Casey calls with Chikorita nodding as it summons multiple rocks filled with purple energy and shoots them forward heading for Pidgeotto as Falkner speaks.
"Pidgeotto dodge!" Falkner calls with the bird nodding as it manages to readjust itself and dodges the attack. Casey knew that was going to happen and calls for her next command.
"Chikorita use Razor Leaf!" Casey calls. Chikorita quickly fires out multiple razor-sharp leaves that make contact with Pidgeotto causing damage to the mon and making it start falling from the sky. Chikorita begins to run forward heading for Pidgeotto as Casey speaks.
"This is it Chikorita end it with Tackle!" "Pidgeotto blow it away with Hurricane!" Both trainers' call. Pidgeotto sees Chikorita coming and when it goes to use Hurricane it stops because of the poison. Falkner grits his teeth while Casey smiles and speaks.
"Do it Chikorita!" "Chika!" Casey along with Chikorita yell as Chikorita hits Pidgeotto hard in the stomach making the bird cough in pain. Pidgeotto's sent flying and lands back on the battlefield a few feet away creating a dust cloud as Falkner speaks.
"Pidgeotto!" Falkner calls in worry as when the dust clears everyone can see Pidgeotto lying on its stomach. The mon tries to stand back up but ultimately stays down as the ref makes the call.
"Pidgeotto's unable to battle Chikorita's the winner! Seeing as the Gym Leader Falkner has no more Pokémon left the challenger Casey of New Bark Town is the winner!" The ref calls making Casey happy as she speaks.
"We! Won!" "Chika!" Casey along with Chikorita let out a loud cheer. Off to the side the group cheer too as Misty speaks.
"Casey and Chikorita did it!" "Tic!" Misty along with Togetic cheer as Brock speaks.
"It almost didn't end well for her, but she managed to pull through." Brock says with Misty agreeing with him. Over with Ash and Pikachu they have smiles on their faces and are happy that Casey won. Over with Falkner he's surprised that he lost then smiles and returns Pidgeotto back to its Pokeball. Over with Casey she runs over to Chikorita, picks the mon up and speaks.
"We did it Chikorita we won! You and everyone else did amazing!" Casey says as she hugs the mon with Chikorita hugging her back and as they're hugging Chikorita begins to glow. Everyone have surprised looks on their faces as Casey places Chikorita down Brock speaks.
"Casey's Chikorita's evolving!" Brock says as over with Casey she looks at Chikorita glowing, growing a foot and eleven inches taller and change. Once the light of evolution fades away what was once a Chikorita is now a Bayleef. The mon has a smile on its face as off to the side Brock speaks.
"Casey's Chikorita evolved into a Bayleef." Brock says as Ash pulls out his Pokedex to scan the mon.
"Bayleef, the Leaf Pokémon. The evolved form of Chikorita and a pure Grass Type. Bayleef emits a spicy aroma from the leaves around its neck and its Razor Leaf is extremely powerful." The Pokedex says as over with Casey she has a surprised look on her face but then smiles and speaks.
"You evolved Bayleef congratulations!" Casey says as she wraps the mon in a hug making Bayleef smile as it hugs her back. A couple seconds later break they away from the hug and see Falkner walking towards them. When Falkner reaches them, he looks at Casey and speaks.
"Well Casey, you surprised me a lot in this battle meaning that you're deserving of this." Falkner says as he gives Casey a Zephyr Badge. Casey along with Bayleef look at the badge, smile and speak.
"We got the Zephyr Badge!" "Bay!" Casey along with Bayleef cheer as Falkner smiles. After that Ash, Misty, and Brock come over and congratulate Casey and Bayleef getting their first badge and Bayleef evolving. Casey along with Bayleef say thank you as Falkner speaks.
"So, now that you've beaten me which gym are you heading too next?" Falkner asks as Ash speaks.
"We're going to head to the Azalea Gym next." Ash responds with Falkner nodding as he speaks.
"Well, I wish you all luck in your travels." Falkner says with the group nodding as they then leave the gym and begin walking over to the Pokémon Center so that Casey can heal her Pokémon. After Casey gets her Pokémon healed the group then head over to the gates that head out of Violet City to see Casey off. Before Casey leaves, she looks at the group and speaks.
"Ash, Misty, and Brock I just want to say thank you for helping me with my journey so far." Casey says as Misty speaks.
"Your welcome Casey and be careful out there." Misty says as Brock speaks.
"Make sure you study up on the different foods that Pokémon eat." Brock says with Casey nodding as Ash speaks.
"Casey good luck in your next gym battle." Ash says as Casey speaks.
"Thanks Ash and the next time we meet I'll be a lot stronger than I am now." Casey says with Ash nodding. After that Casey gives the 3 trainers a hug then leaves heading for Azelea Town. The group wave Casey goodbye and keep waving until they can't see her anymore. They then stop waving as Misty speaks.
"I'm going to miss traveling with her." Misty says as Brock speaks.
"Same but it's better this way as now she'll learn how to do things herself and not rely on us." Brock says with Misty nodding as Ash speaks.
"And I know that next time we see her she'll be a stronger trainer." Ash says with the group nodding as Misty speaks.
"Seeing as Prof. Elm's assistant isn't here with the egg for Ash yet what should we do for now?" Misty asks as Ash speaks.
"I do want to train up my Pokémon is there a place here where we can do that?" Ash asks as Brock speaks.
"Why yes there is, and it's called the Sprout Tower." Brock responds as Ash speaks.
"The Sprout Tower?" Ash asks with Brock nodding as he speaks.
"Yep, I've read that it's a spot where trainers can train before challenging the gym that's filled with strong trainers. Also, if you make it to the top and beat the master you'll receive a prize." Brock responds with Ash nodding as he speaks.
"Okay that sounds fun let's go there." Ash says with Brock and Misty nodding as they all begin heading for Sprout Tower. A few minutes later they've made it to the building and see just how tall it is. The group then walk inside and see a lot of stairs that head towards the top and a large pillar in the middle. The group have surprised looks on their faces as they then hear a voice.
"Welcome to the Sprout Tower" The voice says surprising the group as they look forward and see an old monk as he speaks.
"Are you Pokémon trainers?" The monk asks as Ash speaks.
"Yes, I'm here to train my Pokémon" Ash responds with the monk nodding as he continues to speak.
"I see. As you climb the tower, you'll face many monks who'll challenge you to battle and if you manage to beat them and make it to the top, you'll face the leader where if you defeat him, you'll get a prize." The monk says with the group nodding as when they're about to leave the man continues to speak.
"Also, another trainer came here before you and is already making his way to the top of the tower." The old man says with the group nodding as after that they begin to walk up the stairs. Once they reach the first floor they begin walking forward as Misty speaks.
"I wonder who that other trainer is that the monk mentioned." Misty says as Brock speaks.
"I'm not sure but we might get the chance to meet up with him." Brock says with Misty and Ash nodding as they continue to walk. A couple seconds later a monk appears before them and speaks.
"Which of you wants to battle me?" The man asks as Ash steps forward and speaks.
"Me" Ash says with the man nodding as he speaks.
"This will be a 2on2 battle whoever knocks out all of their opponents Pokémon first will be declared the winner." The man says with Ash nodding as the man then pulls out a Pokeball and speaks.
"Go! Bellsprout!" The man says as he throws the ball forward and sends out a Bellsprout. When the mon appears, it has a serious look on its face as Ash speaks.
"So, a Bellsprout's first then I'll go with." Ash says to himself as he pulls out a Pokeball and speaks.
"Sneasel, I choose you!" Ash says as he throws the ball forward and sends out his Hisuian Sneasel. When Sneasel appears, she has a smile on her face and is ready to battle as the monk speaks.
"Now then let's begin! Bellsprout use Leaf Storm!" The monk calls with Bellsprout nodding as it fires out a big storm of leaves that head for Sneasel. Ash calls for a command.
"Sneasel dodge then use Sludge Bomb!" Ash calls. Sneasel quickly jumps to the right dodging the attack then takes a deep breath and fires out multiple bombs of sludge that head for Bellsprout as the monk speaks.
"Bellsprout block with Protect!" The monk calls with Bellsprout nodding as it summons a protective barrier blocking the attack. Then when the barrier goes down Sneasel appears in front of Bellsprout and has her claws ready as Ash speaks.
"Sneasel use Brick Break then Poison Jab!" Ash calls. Sneasel's left claws glow in white energy and chop down on Bellsprout's head causing damage to the mon. Sneasel then covers her right claws in poison and upper cuts Bellsprout causing super effective damage and sending the mon high into the air. A couple seconds later Bellsprout comes crashing down on the ground landing on its back as the monk speaks.
"Bellsprout!" The monk calls in worry as he along with everyone else can see that Bellsprout's unable to battle. Ash along with Pikachu and Sneasel let out a cheer as the monk returns Bellsprout back to its Pokeball and thanks it. The monk then looks forward and speaks.
"Hoppip you're next!" The man says as he throws the ball forward and sends out a pink Pokémon with leaves coming out of its head. The mon is floating in the air and is looking forward as Ash speaks.
"Who's that Pokémon?" Ash says to himself as he pulls out his Pokedex to scan the mon.
"Hoppip, the Cottonweed Pokémon a Grass/Flying Type. This hopping Pokémon is light as a feather, and can be lifted by the gentlest breeze." The Pokedex says as Ash speaks.
"So, that's what it is." Ash says to himself as he looks at Sneasel and speaks.
"Sneasel return for now." Ash says with the mon nodding as she goes back in her Pokeball. Ash then pulls out another Pokeball and speaks.
"Chikorita, I choose you!" Ash says as he throws the ball forward and sends out Chikorita. When the mon appears, she has a smile on her face and looks at Hoppip with the mon looking at her as the monk speaks.
"A Chikorita? You do know that my Hoppip is part flying right?" The monk asks as Ash speaks.
"Yep, I know and I'm confident that Chikorita will take down your Hoppip." Ash responds while having a confident look on his face with Chikorita agreeing with him. The man nods and speaks.
"Well then here we come! Hoppip use Aerial Ace!" The monk calls with his Hoppip nodding as it shoots forward going to hit Chikorita as Ash speaks.
"Chikorita use Protect!" Ash calls. Chikorita quickly summons a protective barrier and blocks Hoppip's attack making the mon bounce a few feet away as Ash speaks.
"Now use Razor Leaf!" Ash calls. Chikorita swings the leaf on her head forward sending out multiple leaves that head for Hoppip as the monk speaks.
"Dodge Hoppip!" The monk calls with Hoppip nodding as it easily evades the sharp leaves making Ash smile as he speaks.
"Okay Chikorita use Poison Powder!" Ash calls. Chikorita quickly sends out a Poison Powder that makes contact with Hoppip making the mon cough as it's now poisoned surprising the monk as Ash calls for his next command.
"Chikorita use Vine Whip!" "Dodge Hoppip!" Both trainers' call. Chikorita shoots out two vines that head for Hoppip. Hoppip's about to dodge but can't because of the poison allowing for the vines to make contact. The vines hit Hoppip across the face a few times then slam the mon back on the ground creating a dust cloud as the monk speaks.
"Hoppip!" The monk calls in worry as when the dust clears everyone can see that the mon is knocked out. Ash gets a smile on his face and speaks.
"We won!" "Pika!" "Chika!" Ash along with Pikachu and Chikorita cheer as Chikorita then runs over to Ash asking him to pet her head with Ash doing so. Sneasel then comes out of her Pokeball and wants Ash to pet her head too with Ash doing just that. This makes Chikorita angry as she tells Sneasel to back off with Sneasel saying the same thing to her. The two mons are about to get into a fight, but Pikachu quickly comes between them telling them to calm down with both mons nodding. Ash lets out a small chuckle as over with the monk he returns his Hoppip back to its Pokeball and speaks.
"Congratulations on defeating me you may now head to the next floor." The monk says with the group nodding as Ash returns Chikorita and Sneasel back to their Pokeball's then he along with the others begin walking up the next flight of stairs. After that a couple hours pass during this time, we see Ash battle more monks using Pikachu, Chikorita, Sneasel, Pignite, Feraligatr, Heracross, Noctowl, and Muk. Ash's Pokémon are easily defeating the monks Pokémon which consist of Bellsprout, Weepinbell, Victreebel, Hoppip, Skiploom (the evolved form of Hoppip), Ledyba, Sentret, Furret, Ariados and Sunflora. The group have also encountered monks that were already defeated earlier by the trainer that came in before them and the monks tell the group that the trainer was strong defeating their Pokémon in one hit. This made Ash more excited to meet this mysterious trainer, making him along with the other go to the top much faster as they reach the 99th floor. On the 99th floor we see Ash currently in a double battle against another monk who has a Victreebel and Stantler while Ash's using his Pikachu and Feraligatr. Off to the side we see Misty, Brock and Togetic watching the battle. Over with the two trainers and their Pokémon the monk calls for a command.
"Victreebel use Leaf Blade on Feraligatr and Stantler use Psybeam on Pikachu!" The monk calls with the two-mons nodding as the leaves on Victreebel's body become sharper and shoots forward while Stantler fires a psychic beam at Pikachu. Ash calls for his commands.
"Feraligatr dodge Victreebel's attack then use Ice Punch and Pikachu dodge then use Quick Attack!" Ash calls with the two-mons nodding as when Victreebel goes to hit Feraligatr the gator easily dodges the attacks while dancing. Once Feraligatr sees his chance he covers his right fist in ice and punches Victreebel hard in the face sending the mon flying. Over with Pikachu he moves to the right easily dodging the Psybeam then shoots forward at a fast speed, hitting Stantler and sending the mon flying too. The two mons continue to fly until they fall back on the ground landing below the monks' feet as he looks at them and speaks.
"Victreebel, Stantler!" The monk calls and sees that the two of them are knocked out. Ash gets a smile on his face and speaks.
"We did it!" "Pika!" "Gator!" Ash along with Pikachu and Feraligatr cheer as Feraligatr begins to break dance. Off to the side Misty, Brock, and Togetic cheer too. Ash congratulates his Pokémon on winning making them happy and over with the monk he returns his Pokémon back to their Pokeball's, looks over at Ash and speaks.
"You are indeed a strong trainer but let me warn you that our master at the top of the tower is stronger that all of us monks combined." The monk says with Ash nodding as he speaks.
"That just makes us more excited." Ash responds with Pikachu and Feraligatr agreeing with him and making the monk smile. A couple seconds later they hear an explosion that causes the tower to shake a little bit as Misty speaks.
"What's going on?!" Misty exclaims as the monk speaks.
"Seems as though someone is already battling the master and they're having an intense battle." The monk says as Brock speaks.
"It must be that other trainer we heard about." Brock says with the group nodding as Ash speaks.
"Let's go see" Ash responds as he returns Feraligatr back to his Pokeball and Pikachu climbs back onto Ash's shoulder. The group then begin running up the stairs heading for the last floor. A couple seconds later they've made it to the final floor and when they do they see a lot of monks looking at a battlefield as Misty speaks.
"Look at all of these monks." Misty says as Brock speaks.
"Seems like they're also watching the battle." Brock says as Ash speaks.
"Maybe we can see who the trainer is." Ash says as he along with the others begin to walk forward a little bit to get a better look. When they do they see a Shiny Feraligatr looking at an unconscious Victreebel while its trainer looks at it having a surprised look on his face another monk speaks.
"I can't believe that he defeated all 6 of the masters Pokémon with just a Feraligatr. Just who is he?" The monk says making the group curious as they look over at the Feraligatr's trainer and see Silver. Ash gets a surprised look on his face and speaks.
"It's Silver!" Ash says in surprise as Brock speaks.
"Silver? Wait your stepbrother that left when you were a baby? Are you sure that's him?" Brock asks as Ash speaks.
"Yeah, I'm sure I recently saw a picture of him along with his Pokémon in the Winners Palace on Pummelo Island and that's definitely him but older." Ash responds with Misty confirming it as Brock nods. Back on the battlefield the master monk returns Victreebel back to its Pokeball and speaks.
"Thank you Victreebel you did great." The monk says as he looks over at Silver and speaks.
"Congratulations on defeating me young man I have to say I wasn't expecting you to defeat all of my Pokémon with just your Feraligatr." The monk says as Silver speaks.
"Well, it shouldn't be that surprising as my Feraligatr's a lot stronger than all of your Pokémon as they all fell in only a couple of hits." Silver says with the monk nodding as he speaks.
"Yes, and this loss has given me more reason to train more than before." The monk says as he continues to speak.
"And now I shall give you a reward for defeating me and it's an Escape Rope." The monk says as he walks over to Silver and hands him the rope with Silver taking it." Silver looks at the monk and speaks.
"Thanks" Silver says with the monk nodding as Silver looks at his Feraligatr and speaks.
"Okay Feraligatr let's go" Silver says with the mon nodding as just when Silver's about to return the mon back to its Pokeball Ash speaks.
"Wait!" Ash exclaims causing Silver along with his Feraligatr to look at him. Once Silver sees Ash, he gets a surprised look on his face and begins to remember not only his time with Red and Delia but also the time when Giovanni attacked. Silver gets an angry look on his face as Ash begins to run over to him. Silver's Feraligatr see's Ash coming and stands protectively in front of its trainer causing Ash to stop running as Pikachu quickly jumps in front of Ash and stands protectively in front of him. The two mons look at each other while having serious looks on their faces as Ash along with Silver look at each other too. The two boys continue to look at each other still not saying a word as Ash speaks.
"So, we finally get to meet" Ash says as Silver speaks.
"What are you talking about we already met when you were a baby." Silver responds as Ash speaks.
"True, but does that really count? Because I don't remember it well" Ash asks as Silver doesn't answer and speaks.
"So, did you want something? Because if not my Feraligatr and I are going to be leaving." Silver says as Ash speaks.
"Well, I didn't want anything in particular, but I was surprised that your Feraligatr managed to be all 6 Pokémon by itself." Ash says as Silver speaks.
"Of course, because my Feraligatr can beat any Pokémon that he goes up against." Silver says with his Feraligatr nodding as Ash speaks.
"In that case let's have a battle between my Feraligatr and yours." Ash says as he brings out his Feraligatr who happily greets Silver's Feraligatr, but the mon doesn't care. Silver looks at Ash's Feraligatr and speaks.
"That's your Feraligatr huh? It looks weak compared to mine." Silver says making Ash annoyed as he speaks.
"Weak?! My Feraligatr isn't weak! And he'll easily take down yours!" Ash states with his Feraligatr agreeing with him as Silver speaks.
"Wow you must be really dumb if you can't tell the difference between a Pokémon's strength by just looking at it it's no wonder that you struggled so much against Drake." Silver says as Ash speaks.
"Wait you watched my battle against Drake?" Ash asks as Silver speaks.
"I didn't want to at first, but I'll admit I was a little curious to see just how strong you are and honestly I'm disappointed seeing just how weak you are." Silver says making Ash along with Pikachu and Feraligatr angry as he speaks.
"Weak?! I'm not weak my Pokémon and I battled many trainers to get as strong as we're now. And yes, while we did struggle against Drake, it helped us grow much stronger than we were previously!" Ash states with his Pokémon agreeing with him as Silver rolls his eyes and speaks.
"Whatever I'm leaving let's go Feraligatr." Silver says with the mon nodding as Ash speaks.
"Hold on we're not done talking yet!" Ash exclaims as Silver speaks.
"Well, I am" Silver responds as Ash speaks.
"But what will mom and dad think if you just leave now?!" Ash says making Silver stop as Ash speaks.
"Looks like that made you stop." Ash says making Silver look at him as Ash continues to speak.
"Now I don't know what happened between you, mom and dad but they miss you especially mom so you should go back home to see her as it would make her very happy." Ash says making Silver annoyed as he speaks.
"See her? Why should I see someone that's not actually my real mom?" Silver says making Ash annoyed as he speaks.
"It's true that she may not be your real mother but she's the one that took care of you when you were a baby that's got to count for something!" Ash says as Silver speaks.
"Well unfortunately it doesn't and besides I've made it fine on my own so far and I don't need her or anyone else from that family." Silver responds as Ash speaks.
"Okay then what about Ms. Daisy? You two were best friends before and she'd like to see you again." Ash says as Silver speaks.
"I don't need to see her either as having a connection with her along with anyone else will only make me weak and I don't need that for the mission that I'm on." Silver responds making Ash curious as he speaks.
"Mission what mission? Does it have something to do with Team Rocket?" Ash asks as Silver doesn't respond Ash speaks.
"It does now, doesn't it? Because if that's the case then we can help you as I've defeated multiple members of Team Rocket before and also beat Giovanni in a battle." Ash says as Silver speaks.
"You beat Giovanni?" Silver asks as Ash speaks.
"Yes, I have, and I bet that you heard on the news that he's dead so there's no reason for you to run away anymore." Ash says making Silver annoyed as he speaks.
"Run away?! I'm not running away I'm doing what should've been done a long time ago and getting rid of Team Rocket as a whole!" Silver states as Ash speaks.
"Then let us help you as you know that dad's friends with not only the International Police but is friends with many strong trainers, I'm sure that if you join it'll make things a lot easier. So come on Silver come back." Ash says as he holds out his hand to Silver. Silver looks at Ash and can see Red along with Delia who have smiles on their faces. A couple seconds later Silver immediately remembers Giovanni along with Team Rocket's evil smiles, making Silver angry as he turns around and speaks.
"No, the way that things are now is fine with me and I don't need you or anyone else slowing me down when I take down Team Rocket's entire organization by myself." Silver says making Ash angry as he speaks.
"What you're just being dumb there's no way that you can do it by yourself! Not even dad could!" Ash says as Silver speaks.
"Then that means the one you call dad who's supposedly the strongest trainer in the world is just a weakling/loser like you." Silver responds making Ash angry as he yells.
"YOU TAKE THAT BACK!" Ash yells in anger as he begins running over to Silver going to punch him. Silver's Feraligatr immediately gets in front of Ash and hits him with its head sending Ash flying as he crashes into a wall. Misty along with Brock and Togetic get surprised looks on their faces and speak.
"Ash!" The two trainers say as they along with Ash's Pikachu and Feraligatr run over to the boy. When they get close enough Ash's groaning in pain making Ash's Pikachu and Feraligatr angry as the two-mons fire off a Thunderbolt and Hydro Pump respectively. Silver's Feraligatr isn't worried as it bites down on the moves easily destroying them. Silver's Feraligatr glares at the two mons with the two-mons glaring back at it as Silver speaks.
"Just like I thought you are weak" Silver says as over with Misty, Brock, and Togetic they get angry looks on their faces as Brock speaks.
"How can you say that! Ash's your brother!" Brock exclaims as Misty speaks.
"Yeah, you're just being a big JERK!" Misty exclaims with Togetic, agreeing with her as Silver speaks.
"Like I care what you idiots think and also even though we had the same people take care of us he's no brother of mine." Silver responds while looking at the group and making them angry. Ash glares at Silver and as he continues to look at him, he remembers Lugia's words about it giving a trainer a Silver Wing, whose heart is clouded in anger who Ash needs to help. Once Ash remembers that he looks at Silver and speaks.
"You're the one." Ash says making Silver look back at Ash as he stands back up Ash continues to speak.
"The one Lugia was talking about you're the trainer that it gave the Silver Wing to, aren't you?" Ash asks while looking at Silver who glares at Ash and speaks.
"I have no idea what you're talking about I've never come across a Lugia during my travels." Silver responds as Ash speaks.
"You're lying! Lugia told me that it gave a trainer a Silver Wing and over time that trainer's heart has been corrupted by hate and is someone that I need to help. You perfectly fit that description." Ash responds as Silver speaks.
"You must've hit your head hard from Feraligatr's attack as you're being delusional." Silver says as Ash speaks.
"I'm not being delusional! I know what I remember, and I can feel it in my gut that you're the trainer that Lugia was talking about!" Ash states making Silver annoyed as he speaks.
"This conversation is getting us nowhere I'm done with this. Feraligatr return." Silver says with the mon nodding as it goes back into its Pokeball Ash speaks.
"Wait we're not done talking yet!" Ash says as Silver speaks.
"Well, that sucks for you because I am and let me tell you one thing. I don't care what it is you do on your journey but make sure you stay out of my way because if you don't, I'll make sure that you regret it." Silver responds as he pulls out his new Escape Rope and begins to use it as Ash speaks.
"SILVER!" Ash yells as a couple seconds later Silver disappears. When that happens, the group have surprised looks on their faces as Misty speaks.
"He's gone" Misty says as Brock speaks.
"Escape Rope is an item that allows you to escape caves or buildings if you get lost." Brock says with Misty nodding. Over with Ash he has an angry look on his face as Misty speaks.
"Ash are you okay?" Misty asks as a few seconds later Ash calms himself down and speaks.
"Yeah, I'm fine let's get out of here as I want to heal my Pokémon." Ash says with Misty and Brock nodding as the master monk appears before them and speaks.
"Here's an Escape Rope, it's your reward for making it all the way to the top and will help you leave the tower instantly." The monk says with the group saying thank you. Ash returns Feraligatr back to his Pokeball as the group then use the rope to get out of the tower. Once they do, they can see that they're now outside of the building as Misty speaks.
"Wow it really does work." Misty says with Brock nodding as over with Ash he begins trying to see if Silver's nearby but doesn't see him anywhere. Ash gets an angry look on his face and speaks.
"Come on let's go" Ash says with the others nodding as they begin running to the Pokémon Center. A few minutes later they've made it to the center, Ash hands Nurse Joy his Pokeball's and she takes them to the back to do some check-ups on them. Ash then goes to a nearby table and sits down waiting for his Pokémon to be healed as Misty speaks.
"Ash isn't doing well." Misty says as Brock speaks.
"I bet as his first meeting with his brother didn't go the way he expected it." Brock says with Misty agreeing with him as they then go over to the table where Ash's at and sit with him. As they're sitting a few minutes go by with the group not saying anything to each other. Just when Misty's about to speak Ash speaks first.
"Man, I can't believe Silver. I know that he's probably hurting too but to say all of those things made me angry." Ash says with Misty, Brock and Togetic nodding as Ash continues to speak.
"Even though I'm mad right now I'm not going to let his words get to me as I know who I am and one day I'll make him realize just how wrong he is." Ash says while having a determined look on his face and making his friends happy as Misty speaks.
"It's great that you're not taking his words to heart Ash." Misty says with Brock agreeing with her as Ash nods. Brock then remembers something and speaks.
"By the way Ash you mentioned something about Silver having a Silver Wing from Lugia and you being the one that needs to help him." Brock says as Misty speaks.
"Yeah, what was that all about?" Misty asks as Ash speaks.
"You see back on Shamouti Island after we helped saved the world Pikachu and I were riding on Lugia's back and it told us that it gave a trainer a Silver Wing." Ash responds as Brock speaks.
"And you think that trainer is Silver?" Brock asks with Ash nodding as he speaks.
"Yeah, Lugia told me that the moment I encountered the trainer I would instantly know it and try to help them with the hatred in their heart." Ash responds as Misty speaks.
"But Silver said that he doesn't have the Silver Wing, he seemed pretty convincing to me and definitely didn't want any help." Misty says with Brock and Togetic agreeing with her as Ash nods and speaks.
"You're right Misty but my gut is telling me that Silver does have the Silver Wing and is just lying about it." Ash says as Brock speaks.
"Hmmm yeah I could see that because if word got out that he has a Silver Wing many people would probably want to steal it off him and use it for something evil." Brock says with the others nodding as Ash speaks.
"It kind of reminds me of something that I have." Ash says making Misty and Brock look at him curiously as Misty speaks.
"Something that you have. Do you also have a Silver Wing?" Misty asks as Ash speaks.
"No but I have something that's close." Ash says as he looks around, making sure that nobody is nearby and pulls out his Rainbow Wing. When he does that, Misty along with Brock and Togetic have surprised looks on their faces as Ash speaks.
"This is called a Rainbow Wing I got this on the first day I started my journey when Pikachu and I saw Ho-oh it dropped this. Prof. Oak said that as long as I have it, I can see Ho-oh again one day." Ash says as Brock speaks.
"Wait you've had this the whole time?" Brock asks as Misty speaks.
"How come you didn't tell us about it sooner?" Misty asks as Ash speaks.
"Well, I wanted to tell you guys, but Prof. Oak told me that I should only tell people who I really trust as you never know who could be listening. The other reason as to why I didn't tell you guys is because I kind off forgot about it because of all of the crazy things that has happened on our journey so far." Ash responds with Misty and Brock nodding as Brock speaks.
"Well, that does make sense because like with the Silver Wing you do need to be careful." Brock says with Ash nodding as Misty speaks.
"Geez Ash are you saying that you can't trust your girlfriend about something like this? I wonder what other secrets you're hiding." Misty asks while pouting and making Ash nervous as he speaks.
"This is the only secret I swear and of course I trust you, Misty." Ash says as Misty chuckles a little bit and speaks.
"I know Ash I was just messing with you." Misty says while making Ash blush in embarrassment as Ash then looks at his friends and speaks.
"You know I'm really happy that I met you guys on my journey because if I hadn't, I probably would have quit being a trainer after I lost to Giovanni back at Silph Co. So, thank you for becoming my friends and helping me out whenever I get sad or angry." Ash says with Misty, Brock and Togetic nodding. After that they then hear a ding meaning that Ash's Pokémon are done with their checkups. The group go over to the counter and see Pikachu along with Ash's Pokeball's as Nurse Joy speaks.
"Here are your Pokémon they're all healed." Joy says with Ash nodding as Pikachu immediately jumps back on Ash's shoulder and Ash puts his Pokeball's back in his belt. Ash tells the woman thank you with Joy nodding as the group then hear another voice.
"Hello, are you Ash Ketchum from Pallet Town?" The voice says causing the group to turn around as they see a woman who's carrying a Pokémon egg that has a small crack on it as Ash speaks.
"Yeah, that's me" Ash responds with the woman nodding as she speaks.
"Here is the Pokémon egg that Prof. Elm is entrusting to you along with a note from the Professor." The woman says with Ash nodding as the woman hands Ash the egg along with the note and the woman leaves. Once she's gone Misty speaks.
"Looks like you finally got your Pokémon egg Ash." Misty says with Ash nodding as Brock speaks.
"What does the note say?" Brock asks as Ash hands him the note as Brock begins to read it.
""Hello Ash and friends here's the Pokémon egg that I promised to give Ash as a thank you for protecting my lab. Now you may be wondering why there's a crack on the egg and it's because it along with its mother were attacked by Pokémon hunters. The mother did her best to protect the egg but ultimately fell and passed away. During the battle the egg got a small crack on it and before the hunters could take it Officer Jenny along with the G-Men appeared and apprehended the hunters sending them to prison. Seeing as the egg didn't have a mother to take care of it, it was decided that I would be the one to look after the egg but after the recent attack by Team Rocket in my lab I feel as though the egg will be safer with you and I also have a feeling that once it hatches it'll be scared of the world so I'm hoping that you'll be able to help it. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me Sincerely Prof. Elm." "And that's what the note says." Brock says with the group nodding as Misty speaks.
"That egg's been through a lot, and it makes me sad that its mother is gone." Misty says with the group nodding as Brock speaks.
"You know I kind of wonder what kind of Pokémon it was because in the note it doesn't say." Brock says as Ash speaks.
"Well, whatever it was I'm going to make sure to take great care of it and also give it a lot of happy memories." Ash says with the group nodding as Misty speaks.
"So, Ash are you going to keep it with you while traveling through Johto?" Misty asks as Ash speaks.
"As much as I want to, I think it'd be best to send it to Prof. Oak's lab for safe keeping as we've come across Team Rocket a couple times so far and I don't want the egg to get hurt or captured. And I think it being with my other Pokémon at Oaks lab will make it happy so that it can hatch one day." Ash responds with the group nodding as they then walk over to a video phone. Ash presses the numbers and begins to call Prof. Oak's lab. The phone rings 3 times until Daisy appears on the screen and speaks.
"Oh Ash, Pikachu, Misty, Togetic, and Brock I wasn't expecting a call from you guys today." Daisy says as in the background we see Ash's Charizard and Incineroar having an arm-wrestling match with Lucario, Lycanroc, Greninja, Meowscarada, Dragonite, Gyarados, Tyrantrum, Ninetales, Blastoise, Glalie, Darmanitan, Ceruledge, Kingambit, Gengar, Rillaboom, Sceptile, Krookodile, Hawlucha, Sirfetch'd, Scyther, Primeape, and Tinkaton cheering for the one they want to win and Clefable's the referee. Back over with Ash he looks at his Pokémon in the background and speaks.
"Seems like my Pokémon are having fun back there. Also where are Prof. Oak and Tracey?" Ash asks as Daisy speaks.
"Yes, your Charizard and Incineroar have been competing with each other all day today to see who's stronger. Oh, and the reason as to why my grandpa and Tracey aren't here is because they're currently gone out shopping for more Pokémon food as your Snorlax along with Decidueye, Dracovish, Skeledirge, and Dudunsparce somehow got into the pantry and ate almost all of the Pokémon food. Luckly your Clefable, Venusaur, Arcanine Hitmonlee, and Dragonite managed to stop them in time. " Daisy responds with Ash nodding and tells Daisy sorry about what Snorlax, Decidueye, Skeledirge, and Dudunsparce did with Daisy saying it's okay as she speaks.
"So, what can I do for you Ash?" Daisy asks as Ash speaks.
"You see I got this egg from Prof. Elm; in the letter he told me that it's been through a lot, so I was hoping to send it to the lab to keep it safe." Ash says with Daisy nodding as she speaks.
"That's fine with me Ash and your Pokémon especially Clefable along with my grandpa and Tracey will be happy to take care of the egg until it's ready to hatch and we'll contact you on your Pokegear to send it back." Daisy says with Ash nodding as it the background Charizard and Incineroar's arm-wrestling match comes to an end as Charizard wins and lets out a roar in victory with the mons who were rooting for him letting out a loud cheer. Incineroar has a surprised look on his face as Meowscarada along with the mons who were rooting for him give him a pat on the back saying that he did great. Incineroar then asks Charizard for a rematch with the fire lizard nodding as they begin to have another match with the other mons cheering them on. Daisy, along with Ash look at them and smile as Daisy looks at the screen and speaks.
"Okay Ash place the egg on the transport machine" Daisy says with Ash doing just that and before he presses the button, he looks at the egg and speaks.
"You're going to make a lot of friends, and I hope you hatch soon." Ash says with Pikachu agreeing with him. Meanwhile, inside the egg the mon hears Ash and Pikachu's kind words as it slightly moves. Ash and Pikachu notice this making them smile as Ash then presses the button sending the egg over to Prof. Oak's lab. Daisy walks away from the call and when she comes back she's carrying the egg and speaks.
"The egg successfully made it Ash." Daisy says while showing Ash the egg making the boy happy as Daisy speaks.
"So, Ash was there anything else?" Daisy asks and just when Ash's about to say no he then remembers Silver. Ash then looks at Daisy and speaks.
"Actually Ms. Daisy there's one more thing. I met Silver today." Ash says surprising Daisy as Ash begins to tell her his encounter with him. Once Ash's done Daisy has a surprised look on her face as Ash speaks.
"So, Ms. Daisy what do you think I should do if I see Silver again?" Ash asks as Daisy comes out of her shock and speaks.
"Honestly I'm not sure it seems as though Silver's still very angry at Team Rocket." Daisy says as Ash speaks.
"Do you think that we should help him?" Ash asks as Daisy speaks.
"Well, I want to say yes but at the same time I don't know what Silver will do to you if you get in his way as he seems very emotionally unstable so it would be best to leave him alone for the time being." Daisy says with Ash nodding as Daisy continues to speak.
"Also, Ash I'm sure Silver will come back home eventually so just focus on your journey for now as having Silver in the back of your head wouldn't be good especially when you're battling." Daisy says with Ash nodding as he speaks.
"Yeah, you're right thank you Ms. Daisy." Ash says with Daisy nodding as in the background we see that Incineroar has defeated Charizard in the arm-wrestling match surprising the fire lizard as Incineroar roars in victory and Meowscarada gives him a kiss on the cheek. Ash and Daisy look at the mons and see Charizard and Incineroar doing another match and smile as Daisy looks at Ash and speaks.
"So, Ash are you going to tell your mom about your encounter with Silver?" Daisy asks as Ash speaks.
"Yes, she's not going to like what she hears but she'd want to have an update on him." Ash says with Daisy nodding as she speaks.
"In that case you guys take care and Ash we'll make sure that your egg has a happy experience here." Daisy says with Ash nodding. In the background we see Charizard and Incineroar accidentally break the table they were using for their match causing them to fall on the ground making the match a draw. Daisy then says goodbye to the group with the group saying bye back as the video call ends. After that Ash then calls his mother and tells her that he met Silver today as well. Delia was sad to hear that it seems like Silver isn't going to come back home anytime soon and was mad at him saying that he doesn't consider them family. Delia said that she'll make sure to give Silver a good talking too if she ever sees him again making Ash nod as Delia then tells Ash to focus on his journey as well with Ash nodding as he then ends the call. A few minutes later the group have left the Pokémon Center and are now at the gate that leads out of Violet City as Misty speaks.
"Looks like it's time to leave." Misty says as Ash speaks.
"Yep, our next stop is Azalea Town for my second gym badge I can't have Casey or Jimmy get ahead of me." Ash says with Pikachu agreeing with him and making the others smile as Misty speaks.
"Hey Brock, how long will it take us to reach Azalea Town?" Misty asks as Brock speaks.
"It should take us about a week and a couple of days to reach it." Brock responds with the group nodding as Ash speaks.
"Alright then let's go!" Ash says with the group nodding as they begin walking forward heading for Azalea Town. We now cut away from the group and see Silver walking in a forest. He then stops as he reaches into his pocket, pulls out his Silver Wing and speaks.
"Can't believe that Lugia told him that I have it and need help. Like I need help from a snot nosed brat like him." Silver says to himself as he puts the Silver Wing back into his pocket and continues walking forward as the chapter comes to an end.
Thank you for reading if you've made it this far. A lot of things happened in this chapter, Casey won her gym battle, her Chikorita evolved, and Casey has left the group to travel by herself.
