Chapter 2, the real training begins.

Response to Nublyss. Yes you are correct I could have easily worded that better, but keep in mind Alexander is a child, and if your wondering why he didn't manipulate Roshi, the answer is simple, its because he doesn't know how to, because for story purposes I cant answer, Alexander is kind of like Goku but with a more lonelier upbringing, no one like grandpa gohan or anyone by his side, he stumbled on that village and lived there for 1 or 2 years at best, and you saw how attached he was, and you bring a valid point Roshi could have easily threw Alex back to the shore or reject him, but for one I don't think master Roshi is that kind of person, he is a pervert and a lazy bum but I don't think he is heartless enough to let a child go out and possibly die even without bulma's flashing, it was the same for krillin he could have easily not accepted him, though he was bribed, but I bet he saw Krillin's potential and that was the main reason he accepted him, because if you look at the story, Krillin is known to be the strongest human in the story by far, and if you read the training days he pushed Alexander to test his limits and see his potential. If you have any complaints respond, and thank you for your advice it was enlightening.
Now lets get back to the story.
The next day Goku woke up early and rushed out of the house, stretching and filled with energy, while the two bald men were still feeling the effects of the poison.
"Come on lets train master Roshi," Goku said.
"Ugh.. I think we'll have to take the day off Goku," he said while crawling to the front of his house. "cause I don't feel to go—," then he collapsed on the ground.
"Aww ok, what about you Alex wanna train," he said.
"Sure, why not," Alexander said thinking it would be just normal training, but little did he know how bazar Goku is.
"Yay, alright lets go find some rocks," he said as we searched around until we saw some.
"Alright, this will do," he said as he lifted the rock that was twice his size, shocking Alexander, then he proceeded to crush it in a hugging motion.
"Hahaha, now you try," he said as if I could do that.
"I don't think I can do that Goku," I said.
"Why not?" Its very simple, you just lift it and try to hug it as hard as you can," he said.
"Well I can lift it, but I know a better way of training," I said which got Goku excited about a new way of training.
I proceeded to lift the rock, it was smaller than me like half the length but twice the width we entered the forest then I grabbed some vines and pulled, leaving me with a strong rope.
"Can you help me for a bit Goku," I asked.
"With what," he said.
"Lift the rock a little," and he lifted it over his head, which was perfect for what I had in plan.
"Is this good enough," he said.
"Yeh thats perfect," I said as I tied the strong vine over it.
"You can give it to me now," I said and he did.
"So what now," he asked.
"Come follow me," I said, then we walked close to the wall of rock that I repelled on to get down, the previous day.
"What are we doing here," he asked.
"Well i'm going to be climbing this wall till I reach the top," I said.
"Ohh, and what does that do?" He asked.
"Well I don't know my self, but the one who taught us before told us, that it helps build strength and is a good way to become stronger, from what I remembered from our lead hunter," I said remembering what I could from his lessons.
"Ohh, that sounds hard, and cool, i'll go find some my self," he said running over to the rocks.
I then proceeded to slowly climb the wall, and I instantly noticed a difference from before I trained on what the old man taught me, my arms were stronger, even with this rock tied to me, I can climb like it wasn't even there in the first place, because when I was still in the village, the head hunter taught us this way, but now i'm drastically stronger, I thought as I continued to climb with little feeling of fatigue.
"Reaching the top, I was only slightly sweaty, which was shocking because last he remembered he climbed a forth of this mountain that he usually climbed and he was already winded, on the ground breathing heavily, but this time he wasn't, it was as if there was no weight on him, he was happy, and so he continued training, the usual he got from Roshi and the unorthodox way the head hunter taught him.
On the mince of his training, he was surprised at all Goku could do, and deemed him to not be very normal, because everything he did was very crazy, but nothing from what the old man had taught us.
After all that me and Goku did our own training, while Goku hunted for wood to prepare logs to start fire for us to cook, the meat that I had hunted, and so the day ended with me, Goku, and launch eating outside around a campfire, while Roshi and krillin were resting from the poisoning.
Little did we know it, the next day rolled in, and as usual I could be found sleeping on the couch, while I woke up from Roshi's alarm clock Krillin did not.
"Wake up wipper snappers, its time to train, early bird gets the worm and what not," he said which woke Krillin l up.
"Master I don't think the worms are awake yet," Krillin said as he saw the clock, 3:30 am.
"Don't get smart with me, just get ready alright," he said as he finished putting on his clothing. "I'll go and wake up Goku," he said while both me and Krillin started to get dressed.
"By the way Alex, why do you not wear a shirt under your vest," Krillin asked curios about the reason why.
"Well its mostly because I don't have any, since most of them got torn, the longer I lived in the forest," I said as I put on my vest.
"Want a shirt? And it should fit since were nearly the same size," he said while offering me a shirt.
"Gladly, thanks Krillin this helps a lot, since the arm area of the vest kind of scrapes me sometimes," I said as I took it off and put the shirt on while neatly folding the vest down.
We were changing clothes calmly, until we heard gun shots coming from the second floor, me and Krillin looked at each other and made a silent agreement and hid behind the couch while looking if launch would come down and attack us, but after minutes of waiting only Goku and master Roshi came down, and we both sighed in relief.
"Alright boys lets go outside, so we can get some fresh air," he said as Goku followed him, then shortly after, me and Krillin followed.
"Today we will be putting up some ground rules," he said "one you must not use what you have learned for evil deed or personal gratitude, second you must be righteous," he said while he walked back and fort. "Because as a martial artist you must not encourage evil, but instead strike down evil, like when someone steals something, you must go and punish them," he said as he punched the air and said ha.
"For martial arts is born from tactics, and tactics is born from war, but war is made to keep the peace, and peace breeds tactics to form peace and with peace we create tactics so that we can protect it, and that is how martial arts was made to protect the peace in a civilized way," he said as he clenched his hand. "You got that?" He asked.
"Yes," me and Krillin said him being more enthusiastic, but for me it just went one ear and out the other.
"Uhh can you repeat that," Goku said confused, and both of them looked at him and there faces showed, they were all thinking the same thing, 'are you serious?'
cough* "what i'm trying to say is that we learn to fight, so that we don't have to, we learn it to maintain the peace we have received," he said simplifying it for Goku.
"Ohh, I get it now," Goku said.
"Didn't, even need, pictures," Krillin said.
"Now are you boys ready for my turtle school style training," he asked, mostly Goku and Krillin though.
"Yes we are," both of them replied.
"Alright, lets start with a light jog," he said as he jogged forward and I followed behind him, then Krillin, after that, not wanting to be left behind Goku ran along, making a line, and if you were far enough, it looked like ducks following the parent duck.
Shortly after we started jogging we stopped at a milk delivery service, though I questioned why we were there but I didn't say out loud what I was thinking, and kept it for my self.
"Oh boy, that's a lot of milk," Krillin said as there was 3 crates of milk.
"I sure hope there for us, because I sure am thirsty," he said while rubbing his stomach.
"Hello i'm master Roshi, I believe we talked over the phone," he said to the goat man that just finished stacking the Crates of milk.
"Ahhhh yeees, I remember your voice over the phone," a goat man said, as they talked about there deal and the goat man showed him the location of each area, the milk must be delivered at.
"Alright boys grab a crate each, because we will be delivering each one through the country side," he said while pointing at the milk crates.
"Wait were delivering milk," Krillin said shocked at the turn of events.
"It's a good way of training your bodies," he said
"Does that mean you all would be going on foot?" The goat man said, and master Roshi just nodded. "But sir, I have a heeeelicopter," he said as he pointed at the helicopter parked just in the front.
"Flying in comfort, would hardly be training, now wouldn't it," he said.
"But eeeevery bottle must be delivered by breakfast time," he said.
"Don't worry i'll have these boys moving like lightning, now come on boys come grab a crate," and so all three of us grabbed our own crates.
"But how can this be training master Roshi," Krillin asked.
"Ohh, you'll see," he answered with an evil glint shining from his sun glasses. "so since this is our first time training, why don't we take it easy and skip for 3 miles all the way to the first house," he said, while reading the map, the goat man gave him.
"Skip, for, 3miles," Krillin said shocked at how absurd that is.
"Skip?" Goku asked.
"Really," was my response.
"Alright now lets not waist time," he said as he began to skip forward, all the way towards our destination, though Krillin started loosing steam when we were only half way there, and Goku was still running on full, and I slowly began to have a layer of sweat form over me as this was difficult, deferent from the island's soft yet hard to run over sand, because of the rocks and protrusion on the ground that if I don't notice messes up my balance and with the milk blocking my view it was way more difficult.
After we were finished with our first delivery, Goku was still full of energy, I had now sweated from all that running, and Krillin well lets say he is heavily exhausted, but it didn't end there, because shortly after we had another 2 miles to go, but this time we zigzagged through trees all the way to our next destination, I slowly lagged behind from master roshi and goku, but Krillin really lagged behind, and so Krillin tried to cheat, because he was tired but was caught by master Roshi, and was forced to redo everything.
Then after we finished the zigzags Goku had now began to sweat from all the running, and Krillin collapsed, out of exhaustion, but a quick shout from master Roshi and we all were standing ramrod straight, then the next exercise came we were to climb all the way to the top of a mountain, though it was similar to duck walking, but it was way more exhausting because I have to actually raise my leg high, Goku now began to sweat until his spiky hair is now being weighed down by his sweat, Krillin looks like he took a bath, but I look exactly the same as him but less out of breath, since I need to save it because were climbing higher, where the oxygen is less.
On the half way point till the top I got a chat with master Roshi.
"So have your goals changed? Since you got your beloved items back," he said as he blew smoke.
"Yes, it has master," I said as I smiled and continued to climb the mountain after Goku.
"Hehehe, I was right about that boy," he said as he looked over the small village. "He has quite the potential when given a goal," after a while Krillin actually caught up to where Roshi was resting.
"How, much, further," he said while huffing for air each word.
"Give or take were from the top," Roshi said as he breathed in smoke from his pipe.
"What, I though I was at least half way there," he complained.
"Hehe, ready to give up now," master Roshi taunted Krillin to get him to be competitive.
"What now," he said as he continued to climb, and deeming master Roshi's trick to get him going as a success.
As we climbed all three of us had different motivations, mine was to catch up and stand beside Goku, while Goku was fuel by the thought of his grandpa doing this without complaint, while Krillin just didn't want to get embarrassed after all his boasting.
When we reached the top, we were all really exhausted, and Krillin was last to arrive, as all of us were exhausted from all the climbing.
"Ohh, master Roshi its so good to see you training again," a monk said.
"Yes, and its good to see you again," master Roshi said greeting the monk.
"Always good to meet old friends. How is it going with these youngsters," he said asking for what he thought of them.
"Well its to early for me to make an accurate assumption, but if these boys trained diligently they would be ready for the world martial arts tournament," master Roshi said.
"Ow my, isn't that 8 months from now isn't it?," the monk said, and Roshi just nodded.
"The world martial arts tournament?" Goku asked confused, Alex was about to ask the same but opted to listen to someone's answers.
"Don't tell me you don't know," Krillin said to Goku and Goku just nodded. "The world martial arts tournament, is where the best of the best gather for the title of world champion, where fighters with deferent styles and race can compete to be the very best," Krillin said and which got Goku to imagine, strong people and creatures fight to be the top.
"But it only happens every 5 years, and there will only be 8 participants, after hundreds apply for the elimination matches, so you have to be strong in order to even qualify," Krillin said which got Goku even more pumped.
"That sounds fun," Goku said.
"I personally wouldn't consider that as fun," I said and Krillin second my comment.
"Will we really be able to participate, master Roshi," Goku said.
"Only if you train diligently," master Roshi said.
"Ow my, sounds like quite the incentive," the monk said.
"But you mustn't go in there with the thoughts of winning, because to do so would be arrogant, and arrogance are for fools not warriors. When you enter you must enter with the thoughts of improving your self, and not solely victory,"he said which got both Krillin and Goku to jump in excitement, and me to think deeper on to what master said.
"Alright now rest is over, we got 3 more milk bottle's to deliver, so quit slacking and get moving," the old man said as he started to jump from rock to rock, to get down from the mountain. "Come on now, last one down is a rotten egg,"
"I don't want to be a rotten egg," Goku said, as he got up and followed the old man in a slightly slower pace.
"Well I guest you're the rotten egg Krillin," I said as I smiled and proceed to scale down the mountain.
"Come on guys," he said as he crawled to the edge to see Goku disappear, and Alex to fade slowly in the mist. "Wait for me guys," he said as his words echoed through the mountain.
Minutes later Krillin actually got down the mountain faster than he got up, and saw us sitting down as master Roshi gave us a break until he got there, and as soon as he did we instantly started again, he grumbled but followed along anyway.
"Alright now you must keep your balance," master Roshi said as we are balancing on a log over a cliff to get to the next destination.
"Move quickly now, and move light with your feet, or else the sand will swallow you hole," he said as we were already walking ankle deep into the sand, and that's not mentioning the harsh desert heat.
"Careful now, and fight the water current to the best of your ability," he said as we walk next to a drop off of a water fall, and in this Goku was fuel by the future fights he would get in the tournament, while Alex and Krillin just wanted to live.
"You must be fast boys, so that we don't become his breakfast," master Roshi said as we ran for our lives and so we ran as fast as we could from a dinosaur larger than what I have ever hunted down, chasing us while drooling.
"Good job boys, you have completed this days training," he said as all three of us were exhausted out of our minds on the ground panting heavily for air.
"I'm glad were done with training," Krillin said exhausted.
"Yeh me to, I barely made it," Goku followed out.
"I wouldn't, count, on that," I said while panting.
"Now with the early morning workout finished lets get going with mid morning exercise," he said clearly hearing our conversation.
"WHAT!?!?," both of them sounded out in shock.
"Called it," I said in there screams.
"Before you were milk men, now you will become farmers, you're doing agriculture, for that man over there," he said while pointing at a generic farmer tilling the soil.
"Excuse me good sir, may my boys help you in farming," master Roshi said as he talked a deal with the farmer. "Alright thanks, they'll be very happy,"
"Alright boys get to tilling," he said as Goku and Krillin instantly picked up a hoe and struck the ground.
"Hold it," master Roshi said interrupting us from hitting the dirt. "This exercise will be focused on increasing the dexterity of your hands and fingers, in other words you'll be digging," he said
"With our hands?" Krillin said while looking at his hands.
"Well that doesn't seem like hard," Goku said as he started digging.
"It feels like i'm back home, playing with dirt again," I said as I followed Goku's lead and Krillin shortly after followed along, so that he doesn't get on Roshi's bad side.
And so all three of us started, Goku dug forward, so did Krillin, and he dug while moving backwards, and all three of us dug up the land as we moved tilling the dirt.
"Those boys are faster than tractors," the old farmer said while looking at there work.
"Ugh, my finger nails, there gone," Krillin complained.
"You giving up now," Roshi taunted Krillin.
"Never," he said as he continued to dig.
And we dug and dug and dug, and guess what we dug more, we kept digging even when our fingers went numb, we kept digging and digging and digging until finally it was over.
"Master Roshi, were done," Goku said while Krillin tried to stop his fingers from shaking, and I rubbed sweat off of my face using my forearm.
"Hmm, good job, but next time move faster, because everyday the land you till will get larger and larger," he said but his words just entered one ear and out the other do to exhaustion.
"Alright I think its about time for our breakfast," after noticing his students current state.
"Alright, yahoo," we said as we were beginning to starve from all the exercise we did.
"Alright wash your selfs before we get there, got it," he said and all of us did as we were told.
After arriving home and eating breakfast, launch suddenly sneezed and started to train us in reaction speed with bullets,(she was helping, totally, she wasn't trying to kill them i'm sure of it) but before we all ran away I grabbed a fish and ran outside while eating it.
"I think were going to have to eat outside for a bit," master Roshi said while running away from launch.
"Get back here you cowards," she screamed at us while she placed another clip in the gun.
"Can I have some of that," Goku asked me seeing, that I was eating fish, and so I gave it to him.
In one of the markets on the island we are currently at, we could be seen chowing down inside a restaurant, shoveling food down our throats, until Goku sneezed and both Roshi and Krillin instantly ran to the corner in fear, I didn't get it at first but then I remembered launch and I laughed at them.
"Alright from now until lunch time, we will be hitting the books, because what use is a strong body, without a strong mind," he said. "Alright Goku read from chapter 14," and as when Goku read a few sentence's both me and Krillin knew that these were smut books, he wanted us to read.
After seeing us struggle for an hour or so, master Roshi took pity on us and let us eat lunch a bit early, though lunch was little for the two bald men, because launch was there, and they feared every time she took a sharp breath in.
"Alright this time will be used for a quick nap, because we work hard, eat plenty, learn well, and sleep well, and that is the turtle way," he said as we were laying down on hammocks.
After a long day of training, being rocked gently by the wind, and a soft pillow I can lay my head on, I instantly fell asleep as the world around me faded, I heard Goku was talking about something, but couldn't focus on it because I had fallen asleep.
An hour had passed and I was woken up to get back to our training, but this time we were taken to a construction site, a place where men work and get payed.
"What are we doing here master?" I asked because even I don't know what we could be doing here.
"Hehe, you'll be training here to increase your power and dexterity, also doing this will get you some extra money on the side," he said.
"You sure these kids can work, kind of small for someone to hold a pickaxe," the head worker said while looking at all of us.
"Well wait and see, because when you do, you'll want to pay 5x the regular amount for these," he said
"Five times, you must think i'm blind," the worker said.
"Just wait and see, alright boys get to working," he said while pointing his cane up.
"Do we have to, still use our hands, master Roshi?" Krillin said.
"Hmm, no you can, but no power tools alright," he said and we began working shortly after.
After hours of hard work, shoveling dirt and pickaxing hard dirt to soften them, and transferring, we all did our best, and even master Roshi encouraged us to do better with the martial arts tournament, and even Krillin broke a pickaxe from all the hype, and we continued to do our work, and master Roshi got his deal to go well with the worker.
"Alright boys, seeing as that last one really made you work a sweat, you all can go for a swim," master Roshi said as we stand next to a lake.
"Whats your aim here? Your never nice when it comes to training," I said as I was skeptical at his actions.
"Well you must do one thing in the lake," he said.
"And what is that?" Goku asked.
"That is to do laps around the lake 10 in total," he said which got me to ease up slightly.
I accepted his proposal for a swim, and all 3 of us dove in without hesitation, and started swimming, but I was a fool, because I didn't see the evil glint that reflected on his sunglasses, because the water had a giant shark in it, and it looked pissed at us, because we entered its territory, and so it chased us with the intent to kill, Krillin tried to swim back to Roshi since it was closer, but he yelled at him to do a lap and he did, after getting on land we thought we were safe, but we were to naïve, as the giant horned t-rex came out of the bushes and chased us back into the water, and forced us to do laps, and as soon as we got to Roshi's side he would kick us back in, and tell us to do laps, so with all the circumstances we did the laps and boy were we tired.
After this was apparently "dodge training" he said, but it was less training and more torture as he ties us up to a tree and disturbs a hornets nest, sending the swarm on us, and we were told to dodge as if we could.
And with all that said and done, we were exhausted, and bruised by the bugs, we were told that our training would get worse from here, and that he will add a 50kg turtle shell on us to increase the training gains, and so on that day we all simultaneously pass out from exhaustion and Roshi's demands.
The next day, we did the exact same thing, again after that, and again, and again, and again.
We kept doing it until we were on the second month, and I asked master Roshi something.
"Why aren't you teaching us anything aside from our usual training master Roshi? You told us we were going on this big martial arts tournament right? How will we ever compete?" I asked genuinely worried about our chances.
"Yeh isn't there a turtle hermit style or something?" Goku added to my question.
"Yeh if were agains the worlds strongest don't we need something to beat them?" Krillin said worried about himself. Roshi was sweating and sat in silent for a second but be then said.
"You know what i'll tell you boys tomorrow, for now lets eat and rest, were going to skip farming tomorrow so I can talk to you," he said.
"Yay finally something other than training," Krillin said.
"Alright he's gonna teach us some moves," Goku said
I just stayed silent because this is not what I had expected to happen, I was expecting him to tell us that we weren't at a level to learn it yet, or something like that. After my questioning we all ate until we were full, Goku and launch bathed together, and Roshi and Krillin stared in jealousy of Goku for being able to take a bath with launch, but they couldn't do much since the fear of launch sneezing and shooting them after they were finished, all of us got in and out one by one to wash before we sleep, and me, Goku, Krillin and master Roshi had slept at the ground floor, because after launch slept in her sleep no one dared to sleep with her again.
Next day came and as usual we did our usual, delivering milk and running across the island, walking up to a mountain, balancing over a canyon with a log, walking over a quicksand of desert, running from a giant hungry dinosaur, walking next to a drop off of a water fall, until we reached our end.
After our early morning exercise, we were gathered next to the lake where the giant shark was, and I thought he was just gonna send us to train but instead.
"You boys want to learn the turtle hermit fighting style eh," Roshi said with a bit of sharpness on his voice.
"Yeh yeh we do," Goku and Krillin said enthusiastically.
Roshi spits on the ground. ",well to bad!!! All three of you aren't strong enough yet," and there goes my predicament, I thought to my self, while Krillin and Goku just flinched from how loud Roshi's voice was.
"There is a process to this, for you to learn the turtle style, you must have a strong bace, with your current strength, you wouldn't be able to handle it," he said.
"Then when will we be able to, master?" Goku said.
"Hmmm, well lets see," he said as he strokes his beard and looks around. "Aha this will do," he said to himself.
"Alright boys until you can push this rock is when you are ready," he said as he taps his cane on a bolder twice the size and length as him.
"Ohh waw, that's big, can you push it master Roshi?" Krillin said and Goku nodded, while I watch in interest, and with all his students attention on him he slowly caved in to the pressure, and pushed the rock, though he showed great difficulty, and it looked like he was out of breath after pushing the rock.
"You see that, until you can push that, is when I train you properly," he said as he huffed for air.
As Roshi finished saying his words, we could hear a voice of struggle from his back, and as we turn we could see Goku struggling to push the bolder, he struggled so much that his face began to redden as blood rush to his head.
"Didn't you listen to what I said, you aren't stro—ng," he said as Goku not only shocked master Roshi but his companions as well, as he pushes the rock even further than Roshi could do.
"I pushed it, now can we train," Goku said.
"Oh my, I seem to be in such a hurry that I pointed at the wrong rock, everyone knows that even an old grandma can push that one," Roshi said scratching the back of his head, as he searched around, while I suspiciously looked at how nervous he was.
"Ahh that one," he said as he pointed his cane at a rock 10x larger than the previous one was.
"That's a big one," Goku said as he rushed over to the rock, and instantly tried to push it with all his might, but sadly this time he didn't push it even a inch.
"This one's to heavy master Roshi," Goku said.
"I told you, you weren't ready," master Roshi said.
"Then can you push it master Roshi," I asked him, and he just stood there in silence.
"Yeh can you," Goku stud up and said it while Krillin repeated after Goku.
Goku and Krillin kept asking master Roshi if he could over and over again, until master Roshi suddenly perked up and.
"What are you standing here for go and train," he said changing the subject and all of us ran to the field and started digging.
"Phew, those dam brats, I need to keep pushing them to reach there absolute limits. One of these days those brats are gonna be the end of me if this keeps up," master Roshi said as he looked up at the sky and sighed, as he mentally checked at what his students progress was for the past 2 months.
'Dam Goku, Gohan what kind of child did you raise, its almost like he is a natural at everything he does, for a child his age he has already achieved super human levels I don't know how he was or how he got that strong, and with my training he would grow even stronger and become quite the monster, he isn't the smartest kid of the bunch but he surely is the strongest among them, and the one who grows in raw power the most, I don't know if i'll be enough to teach him but I will surely try my best, well aside from his terrifying growth rate, I need to fix Goku's personality, Goku is perfect as a martial artist, free and unpredictable, but he is to gungho about everything. Goku is strong so after this all I might need to do is just increase his move set then he would probably become an undefeatable machine,'
'Krillin he seems to be just a normal child raised in a martial arts lifestyle, now a days its normal for orphaned children to be raised by dojo's and get stronger, because training the young early would be the best way to possibly win the world martial arts tournament thanks to the strong opponents, but that is only foolish taking a child's childhood out of a selfish desire, and it clearly shows how it has effected him, though generally taunting tends to be normal to egg on and motivate someone, Krillin has taken it to another level to even belittling people similar in stature thinking thanks to his training he has already won, I got to fix that attitude bit, but Alexander and Goku are doing well to fix it for me, hehehe, along with his attitude I might need to help him train personally after this, he moves stiff and follows a routine, from the way he runs and hits, he also tends to favor his hands than his feet, those are not good because as a martial artist you must be unpredictable and flexable,'
'Alexander is strange, at first I originally planned to keep my promise with the blue haired girl as her reward and just take him to the shore on where they found him, until he stared at me with those determined eyes, and I saw something long ago that I lost after my master passed away, so with curiosity and a safer way for the kid to be off my island I trained him, but shortly after I realized his potential, with every training he improved, and with every tasked he got better, and every day he got stronger, and that got me curious at how much potential his got, and I pushed him again and again, but he kept up till the bitter end, and I saw the potential of something greater, and so I needed to train him, so I could polish this gem to be brighter and better than ever, though the boy is developing finely just from this, I don't know if its an instinctual thing but he adjust himself to a position where its less taxing but also maximizes his training, he is almost as terrifying as Goku,'
After thinking about all his students all he could conclude is that he has his work cut out for him, and that if this continues he might actually need to train.
"Hey Alex when do you think we can push that rock?" Goku asked.
"Its Alexander, and I don't know, probably around the end of our training," I answered.
"Well when ever it is, I hope its like a few months before the tournament, because I don't know if we can beat them without some special move," Krillin added in.
"Well lets hope so,"
After that we spent more time training day in and day out for months we dug, worked, swam, ran, ate, and slept, for 4 months straight, though within these months we were prohibited to spar because in master Roshi's words.
"It would be a waist to polish them at your current level, so best to get stronger before we polish them," he said.
And we all agreed and continued our training, and as master Roshi said the land we tilled grew day by day, the milk we delivered grew more, and the further we traveled, the road we worked on became harder, the laps we swam became more, but its kind of funny that the shark and dinosaur can no longer keep up with our speed. Master Roshi's assault on launch had now lessened from the first time we meet her, its not because he lost interest he never lost that but it was more about his luck, because when were not in the house launch tends to sneeze when Roshi was about to get what he wanted, though he found it as a problem, but me, Krillin, and Goku used blond launch as a glorified dodge and reaction training because its always unexpected and bullets were fast, and soon after before we knew it 4 months had passed.
"Master, master Roshi, come we have something to show you," Goku said as Alexander Krillin and Goku ran into the house and grabbed his arm and pulled him.
"Wait, hold on," he said as he was dragged out of his home, away from his Ice cream that he was enjoying.
"Look, look, master Roshi," Goku said as he waved at him next to the rock.
"You said you'll only train us when we can push this rock yes?" Goku said
After a second of thinking if he had ever made that promise. "Yeh I did," he said sweating.
"Well look," Goku said as he struggled to push the giant bolder.
As the rock began to shake and waver to Goku's strength. Goku's face became red from struggling and as his face almost became fully red, the bolder gave and Goku pushed it a whole 2 feet, and master Roshi could only gape at what he had seen, truly believing that the boys would either give up or it would be to late for them to be able to push it.
"Me and Alex can also push it master though I cant move it as far as they can," Krillin said as he began to push the rock and was able to move it only a foot, which got Roshi to sweat now.
"Its Alexander, but I guess i'll demonstrate to," I said as I began to push it and managed to push it 1 and a half feet away.
'Dam if I only knew they could do this in only 6 months I would have pointed at a mountain,' master Roshi thought to himself shocked at his students growth as he wipes the sweat off his head.
"So those this mean you'll train us in martial arts now?" Goku said and Krillin excitedly got next to each other with sparkles in there eyes, while I just thought what the special move would be.
"Well, you boys, surely did exceed my expectations," he said as Krillin and Goku got super excited, but I sensed a but in there.
"But the turtle hermit style is all about the training," he said.
"But what about the special moves? How will we ever win the competition?" Krillin asked.
"Win? I never intended you boys to win, just to gain experience in the tournament, think of it as another part of your training," he said. Krillin was speechless because he wanted to win than ever out of all of us.
"Alright master," me, Goku and Krillin said as we then continued our training.
"Before you go, since you were able to push this I have something for you," he said and Krillin had a light of hope flash through his eyes. "Here you go, from now on you three will be wearing this, its about 100 kg, twice than the ones you currently have," he said and Krillin's light of hope was instantly snuffed out.
As we continued our training afternoon settled in.
"Do you think we even have a chance to enter the main tournament?" He asked as we did some road work. "Like whats to stop them from squashing us like bugs in the elimination round," he asked dejectedly.
"I don't know, but we've been getting stronger I can feel it," Goku said which didn't help Krillin's mood.
"To be honest with you, I got the feeling that this would be the case," I said as I broke a rock using my pickaxe.
"WHAT!!!!," Krillin yelled out. "If you knew why didn't you tell us?" Krillin asked after calming himself.
"Yeh why didn't you," Goku added.
"Well generally most martial arts teacher would start to train you around a week of physical training, and given that I am technically his oldest student it was strange he didn't give me or us any pointers in training, or anything we get like give us a weapon to make it harder, the shells don't count," I said speaking my analysis off it all.
"Well true but lets hope we can at the very least put up a good fight," he said as we all agreed and continued to do our training.
And for the last two months all of us trained diligently and pushed our selfs to the limit every day, with the new 100 kg shells it was much much harder to do our daily training, as we ran the shells would sometimes bounce from our uneven running and would drag us down, when we dig the shell pushed upwards and sometimes pushes our faces into the dirt and worst of all, thanks to the rope that held them together our shoulders hurt like hell, but we got used to it. Not long after we were back to our usual though the speed in our training dropped thanks to our new weights. This went on for the two months we had left and on the last few days as we ran through the rice fields we helped till we went home to that pink house we lived in.
"Were here master," I said to master Roshi.
"Alright boys 2 days from now the world martial arts tournament will be held, so lets prepare, grab your clothes, your tooth brushes and what ever you would need," he said.
"But before that I would like all of you to remove your shells," he said.
"Thank goodness," Krillin said.
"Yeh, it would have been silly fighting with these," Goku added.
"You got that right," I said as I remove the turtle shell.
"Alright boys I want all of you to test your current abilities, like running and jumping," master said as we were stretching.
"Alright," we said as we jumped with all our might and it looked like we just flew, while on the sky we just looked at each other silently shocked with what we have achieved. Running around as fast as master Roshi did when he demonstrated his speed we were lively and shocked at what we had achieved.
"See this is the fruits of your labor, and the turtle hermit's style, for us there is no fighting style, but its all about surpassing the barrier of human limitations, all that running, digging, hitting, and swimming had all of you develop and surpass what you could have normally achieved," he said
After calming down and packing our things.
"Ow before you go I have something to give you," launch said as she got into the house and pulled out a suit case, and she pulled out three different suits. All of them had the same colored suit black, but the inside was different, Goku's had a blue color within, Krillin's had and orange with red lines, and mine had dark green with deep green lines, and boy do we look dashing.
"Well aren't you boys looking quite stylish," she said.
"Did you make these your self launch," I asked.
"Well I did have some free time, and the women in the village were very helpful," she said and almost all of us couldn't help but think. 'What if she sneezed there,' but we didn't say it out loud and just kept it to our selfs.
"Lets go boys if not will be late for our flight," master Roshi said.
"Alright master," Goku said as he ran to Roshi's car and waved bye at launch, me and Krillin just held our hats and bowed to her and we ran to the car.
"Where are we going master Roshi," I asked
"We are going to where the world martial arts tournament is held every 5 years," he said.
"And where is that," I asked.
"To papaya island," he answered.
"Alright,"
And so a long travel of going to the islands air port and buying a ticket for 4 to papaya island using the money we earned from doing training, like the land tilling, milk delivery, construction working, all of those did earn us some money, which master distributed evenly and he even bought our tickets for us. While on the travel we all slept and as soon as I woke up Goku asked if he could get a star, though I was very confused I just let it slide and looked out at the window, and I saw bright lights in the ground, city lights and it was beautiful, first time I've seen something like that. Shortly after we left the plane and got a taxi to the place, when we got there master Roshi signed us up and I got to meet Goku's weird friend who just did a pose and said wolf fang fist or something along that line, after that we went to our hotel and slept for tomorrow, because tomorrow it officially starts.
