Chapter 0; Becoming Protectors; Part 1

Hello everyone. Before I start, I have to say something. I will put my other stories on hold until I catch this one up with where my other stories are. And in case you didn't read the preview or read these after the preview was deleted, the first chapter of each Tales of the Kamen Riders will introduce the person under the armor. Now let me introduce Kamen Rider Soul.

In Tokyo, Japan, two teenagers, both with brown eyes and hair. One was wearing a purple hoodie, t-shirt and pants. The other one was wearing a red cloak without any sleeves, an emerald long sleeve shirt under it and a pair of emerald cargo pants. They were hidden as a group of high school delinquents ran past them. Once they were safe the one with the red cloak said to the one with the purple hoodie. "Noah, I'm tired of running for our safety."

"I know Seth, but what was I supposed to do when I saw them pick on middle school kids?"

"You should have ignored them, because for the millionth time. You can't fight!"

"So I should ignore people in trouble and beg them for whatever they are willing to give us?"

"Hey I don't like it either, but we have to do those things if we want to survive. Now let's go back to camp and get ready to move again."

"Whatever." Noah said as they left the hiding place and started to walk down an alleyway. Seth followed him and after walking for a few minutes. They found a door that had a night sky style on it and wasn't connected to a wall. Noah looked at it and said. "What's up with this door?"

"Who cares, let's go." Seth said as he was going to walk past the door. But Noah opened the door and a blinding light appeared, knocking them both out. Noah and Seth woke up in a room that looked like the night sky with earth under their feet, and only a white table was in the room. Noah looked around and said. "Where are we?"

"Think of this place as a place where your dreams can come true." A female voice said somewhere in the room. Noah and Seth looked around and saw a woman in a white robe with a mask that looked like a heart, but its color was constantly changing and it did not show her eyes or mouth, walking to the table. She also had a briefcase in her right hand and an orange crystal disk in her left. The stranger then said to them. "Noah and Seth Himitsu. We have a lot of things to talk about." Noah said to the stranger, as he stepped forward and Seth hid behind him. "Who are you?"

"I'll tell you about it another time. For now I have a question for you both."

"And that is?"

"Do you two want to be more than just being who you two are now."

"We are happy with who we are."

"Oh? So you are both happy being scared? Being weak? And surviving by the kindness of others and not by your own strength?" The stranger said, causing them to look down. The stranger had a lot of good points and Noah lifted his head up. He looked right into the stranger mask and said. "Ok, what do you want?"

"I want your brother to touch this." The stranger said as she rolled the orange crystal disk to Seth. Seth picked it up and then heard a voice say. "I am Horse."

"What the…?" Seth said as he dropped the disk and it rolled over to the stranger. The stranger picked up the disk and said. "Looks like you two are the ones I need."

"What do you mean?" Noah said as the stranger hid the orange crystal disk into her robe. The stranger showed her briefcase and opened it. She then showed the inside to them. On one side were two folders. And on the other side was a red, blue, green, brown, purple, silver, yellow, and pink colored spheres and a white belt buckle that had what looked like a black W with two spots for circles on top ends of the W. The stranger then pushed the case to them and said to Noah. "Noah, please put on the Twin-Soul Driver?"

"Ok?" Noah said as took the belt buckle. Noah was not really sure if he should do it, but he had a feeling that if he didn't the stranger wouldn't let them go. Once Noah put the belt buckle on, the belt buckle summoned a white strap around his waist and then a belt buckle that looked like the one Noah had on appeared on Seth's waist. They both looked at the belts and the stranger said to them. "Now pick a Soul Jewels?"

"Do you mean this?" Seth said as he picked up the red sphere. "Noah?" The stranger said and Noah picked up the purple one. Once they both had one, the spheres started to turn into disks, but did leave behind little shards. The stranger then said to them as the shard remains of the red sphere and the briefcase went to the stranger. "Now Seth put your disk in the left slot." Seth did it and the Driver said. "Efreet!"

"Noah put your disk in the right slot." The stranger said as he put all of the shards into a jar and put the jar into the briefcase Noah didn't like it, but he still did it and the Driver then said. "Fighter! Efreet Fighter!" Efreet disappeared and then reappeared in Noah Driver. The stranger then said to Noah as she pushed the briefcase back to them. "Now overlap the Jewels and say Henshin."

"Ok, Henshin?" Noah said as he overlapped the Jewels and then Seth fainted. "Seth!?" Noah said as he was going to grab him, but let Seth hit the ground. Because fire started to surround him. Once the flames died down, Noah had changed. His body was now in armor that covered his chest and shoulders, gauntlets on his arms, boots on his legs, and a helmet that covered his whole face and the visor was two red eye holes that looked like souls flames. And the last part, it was also split in half with a white light on the left and a black line on the right in the center. The right side was purple and the left side was red, also the belt strap had two circles on both sides now. Noah then said as he touched his helmet and the right eye let up. "What has happened to me?"

"Don't you mean us." Seth said as his voice came out of Noah's mouth and the left eye let up. That surprised Noah and Noah said to the stranger. "What did you do to us?"

"I have turned you or I should say both of you into the one and only Kamen Rider Soul!"

"Kamen Rider Soul?" Seth said before Noah said to the stranger. "What's a Kamen Rider?"

"A Kamen Rider is someone who rides into dangerous situations and protects life from those who would destroy it or use it for their evil plans."

"Ok, but what's with the Soul part of our name?" Seth said and the stranger said. "Because your power comes from Soul Jewels. And you can use the full power of the Jewels in a Final Attack. But remember this. If you use a Soul Jewel for a Final Attack, then you will not be able to use them for some time."

"I don't care what we are called or how our powers work. I just want to return to normal and get Seth back into his body?!" Noah said, getting a little mad. The stranger laughed and said. "Just undo the overlap and remove the Soul Jewels, then wait for a few seconds. That will undo the transformation and return Seth to his body." Noah then did what the stranger said and turned back to normal. Seth woke up a few seconds later and the stranger said to them. "Now here is your mission?"

"What mission?" Noah said as he helped Seth up. Seth took Efreet, Fighter and the Twin-Soul Diver from Noah and put them back into the briefcase and closed it. The stranger then said to them. "There is a great evil that plans to destroy the world and all that lives on it. It's up to you and the allies you both make to save the world. And use everything in the case to help you both get stronger."

"Then why are they spheres instead of disks?" Seth said before the stranger said. "If you want them, then it is up to you to carve them and unlock their power. Also, the case has the paperwork you'll need for the mission, and recipes for gadgets to help you and allies in the fight ahead." Noah and Seth looked at the briefcase and Noah said to her. "Recipes? Don't you mean blueprints? And who are we going to be fighting?"

"No, and you'll figure out very soon. Good luck. Oh, and one more thing. Try not to die." The stranger said before snapped her fingers and then Noah and Seth disappeared in a rainbow colored light. She then snapped her fingers again and the table disappeared too. And for a third time, she snapped her fingers and then two human size tubs of white water appeared where the table was. The stranger looked at them and said. "That one Kamen Rider down, two more to go."

"Ok now where are we?!" Noah said as they found themselves on the outskirts of a city, not very big, but not very small either. Seth took a seat on a bus bench and opened the briefcase. After looking at the folder that had their paperwork inside for a few minutes, Seth said to Noah. "Looks like we are in a town called Arcadia Oaks, located in California, USA."

"We are on another continent?" Noah said as he tripped on a bag that appeared next to his feet. A male jogger ran up to him and said. "Are you ok?"

"Oh it's fine…?"

"Good, then see you around."

"Wait?" Noah said looked up, but the guy was already gone. Noah then said to Seth. "Did I just speak and understand English?"

"Yes, and I understood him too. I wonder… Oh?" Seth started to say, but stopped when he noticed a note card in the folder. "What is it?" Noah said as he walked up to him. Seth pulled out the note card and read it out loud. "Incase I forgot to mention it. I have given you both the ability to read, write, and understand English, sorry."

"I do not like that person." Noah said, kicking the bag. Seth said as he was still looking at the folder. "Calm down Noah."

"Calm down? Seth, we are stuck here, with a mystery bag, and because we only have Japanese currency. We can't get more food, when we run out of it."

"Don't worry Noah, he has already found us a place to stay. And according to the map it is this way." Seth said as he pulled out a map and closed the case. Seth then started to walk away from Noah. Noah was still mad, but ran after Seth with the mystery bag. It took until sunset for them to walk to a nice blue house. Noah said to Seth, who was looking at the map. "Is this the place?"

"Yes. Let's ring the doorbell." Seth said as he closed the folder and the briefcase, and walked up the door bell. "Seth? Wait?" Noah said as he ran after him, but Seth already rang the bell. "You know I'm faster than you bro." Seth said before they heard someone opening the door. That someone was a female doctor that had brown-orange hair, blue eyes, and square glasses. She looked at them and said. "Oh, you two must be the foreign exchange students?"

"Foreign exchange students?" Seth said quietly so the doctor didn't hear him. "Yes we are, but how do you know us?" Noah said, making a quick cover story before the doctor said. "I volunteer to take in the foreign exchange students at the last P.T.A. meeting."

"Well, we are honored to be here. I'm Noah Himitsu and this is my twin brother Seth."

"I'm Barbara Lake. Jim! Our guests are here and need help with their bags." Barbara yelled for someone on the second floor. "I'll be down in a minute." A male voice said from the second floor. Then a male teenager with blue eyes, short dark hair weaning a blue zip-up jacket with the sleeves rolled up to his elbows, and a white shirt underneath. He also had blue jeans and blue and white sneakers. Barbara then said to Noah and Seth as the kid walked up to them. "Noah, Seth this is my son, James Lake Jr."

"Please call my Jim. It's nice to meet you." Jim said, extending his right hand for a handshake. They took the handshake and Jim took the mystery bag from Noah. "Jim, why don't you show our guest to their room."

"Sure Mom." Jim said before he took them up stairs. The room they were going to be staying in had a bunk bed and a desk. Jim put the bag on the bottom bunk and said. "Sorry, even with the money we received for taking you both in, it only covered this must."

"This is plenty. Thanks Jim." Noah said as they both of them claimed a bunk. Noah on the top and Seth on the bottom. Noah then said to Jim. "So are we going to go to your school tomorrow?"

"Yes, so get a good night's sleep." Jim said as he shut the door. After a few seconds Seth said to Noah as he looked in the bag. "I'm starting to like this."

"Why?"

"We have a place to stay that gives us food. We are getting an actual school education. And this bag has all of our supplies we had back in Japan."

"But still I have to wonder what danger we are going to face." Noah said as he got off the bunk bed and went over to the room's window. Outside he saw woods and something very big running past the backyard fence. Noah walked to the briefcase and grabbed the Twin-Soul Driver and Fighter from the case. He put them into one of his pockets and said to Seth. "I have a feeling we are going to want to keep these close by." Noah then threw Efreet to Seth and what Noah was feeling was right, but they won't know about the danger anytime soon.

Now here are the speech rules for Noah and Seth when they are in their Kamen Rider mode. I'll give them each a different speech style and when they talk together, then I'll be calling them Soul from time to time. Noah will speak in Italic. Seth will speak in Bold. And when Noah and Seth talk together it will be both Bold and Italic together.
