Pale blue hair dashed through the yard, dodging people left and right. Using his lack of presence to wind through obstacles until he could reach his destination, he huffed as he ran. Wind shook the leaves from the trees and the pages from the books around him, but he paid it no mind as he dashed towards the huge building in front of him. People were shouting at each other, calling names, and moaning in despair and distress. He was late. The bell was bound to ring at any second and he still had to make his way to class in a room he'd never been to before.
Puffing at the door, he had barely made it in time. The words, "I need to work on my stamina" were huffed under his breath as he meandered towards the only empty seat left. The bell rang shrilly as he went to slump in his chair, causing him to stand to full attention as the teacher walked in. The whole class greeted the teacher harmoniously and proceeded to wait for permission to be seated. With a wave of the teacher's hand, the class sat and started scribbling the notes the teacher was writing on the board. Kuroko Tetsuya was slightly lost as the class moved on without him as he tried to catch up by getting his books and pens ready and scribbling down the notes.
Kuroko's new desk mate noticed the quiet dread that the previously mentioned was emitting and smirked. He tilted his notebook towards the pale blunette and continued writing, subtly changing the angle of his hand so it didn't block the other's view of the immaculately written notes. Giving a brief but grateful head nod towards his desk mate, Kuroko copied the notes as fast as possible.
The bell finally rang for break and the class broke into an uproar. Tables and chairs were moved so friends could sit with each other however both Kuroko and his desk mate didn't move. Suspicious at the lack of movement from beside him, Kuroko glanced through the few tufts of hair that had spilled over his eyes blocking him and his desk mate from locking eyes. From what he could see, his desk mate had red hair and matching coloured eyes that seemed to shine as they stared straight at him. There was a hint of a smile behind the curious eyes observing the new student but a know-it-all smirk played on his lips.
As the day droned on, kuroko found himself drifting off during class. This morning's workout was enough for him to last for the rest of the week. He really did need to work on his stamina. Before his eyes closed, he noticed the red-head staring once more
Beside kuroko, unbeknownst to him, the red haired desk mate stared with curiosity and delight. Not everyday did he meet a person that didn't fear him nor idolise him. He was, of course, the captain of the basketball team and the son of the most powerful family in Japan. He was the epitomy of perfection. Something about the teal haired boy I trigued him greatly. Was it the fact that the boy lacked a normal presence? Was it that the boy simply didn't know who he, akashi seijuro, was? Surely not. Shaking his head from the thought, he continued taking notes for the both of them as the teal haired boy slept.
Then, the final bell rang and the class dispersed with haste, towards their varying after school activities. Kuroko sluggishly watched as the red haired desk mate packed his bag delicately and efficiently, purposefully leaving behind his notebook and vanishing through the door. By the time kuroko had recognised that the book had been left, it was too late to find the red haired boy that had shown such interest towards the new kid. Slumping further into his chair, kuroko gathered his belongings and pushed them into his bag before grabbing the notebook and heading home. The whole way, he kept the notes close to his chest to avoid any travesties befalling him or the book. Tomorrow, he would give the notes back. But for tonight... Maybe he could use them to finish his homework.
