The purple haired giant had gone to buy snacks. Kisechin and Shinchin hadn't given him anything at lunch like they usually do which had made him very upset and his afternoon snacks had to be eaten at lunchtime. After watching the two people he'd left at the table finish their conversation, he returned, his arms full of sweets and treats to munch on. Upon returning to the table, he gave some of the snacks to Akachin like he usually did, however he rarely ate the sweets. Usually, Akachin held onto them and gave them back the next day as a treat but today, Akashi gave one of the snacks to the new kid. The tall purple haired giant watched the whole exchange between the new kid with the pale blue hair and his captain, surprised. When they first sat in the library, he thought Akachin was gesturing to himself when he called over the small boy but afterwards… When the purple haired giant finally turned around to see what had intrigued his captain so much, he saw nothing. It was only when the boy had asked if he could sit that he had noticed him. The boy's lack in presence made it easy to forget him but the focus being directed towards him by Akachin He could have almost forgotten about him had it not been for Akachin focusing all his attention on the boy.

Once everyone had settled back into their seats to continue studying, Akashi handed over one of the sweets he had been given by the giant. It was only a small, grape flavoured, hard boiled candy but it was significant that Akashi had shared anything with this stranger. Something was different about the relationship between the two, however, Murasakibara kept quiet, not bothered enough to get involved. Instead he introduced himself, "I'm Murasakibara Atsushi." but when Kuroko went to respond, he was ignored. Now, it was one feat to have the feared leader of the Teiko High School Basketball team treat you nicely, especially if you weren't part of the first string, however, to turn down something he offered was even greater. The giant just sat there, dumbfounded, pocky hanging out of his mouth while the blue haired boy silently turned down the sweet and simply said "I prefer vanilla". This simple statement managed to procure a smirk out of the red head and it just puzzled Murasakibara even further. "He would have to tell the rest of the team about this encounter", he thought.

Silence , once again, settled over the group of supposed homework-doers however only one actually attempted to finish the work. The red-headed boy was writing a detailed plan for the next week of training and marking down observations he had made about the cute boy in front of him. Curiously looking over his shoulder, Murasakibara winced at the intensity of the training for the following week and squinted at the small notes, dotting the pages, regarding the new kid. KUROKO TETSUYA is written in fancy letters sprinkled over the page. "Must be the name of this kid".

This continued for the next three hours as Kuroko finished his work. When finished, he glanced up to see how the other two were doing, just to find them both staring at him. Coughing under his breath, he stated, "I'm done", and started to pack his things. Akashi, across from him, motionlessly cleared the table of his books and stationary and was ready to leave. Confused, Kuroko and Murasakibara collected their things in a hurry and started to walk out of the library. Somehow, Akashi beat them out to the gate with the speed and grace of a predator and was patiently waiting for his teammate and deskmate. They both arrived at the gate and nodded goodbye to one another before parting ways, Kuroko to the left and Akashi and Murasakibara to the right. Little to Kuroko's knowledge, there was a limo parked around the corner waiting to take the two others home.
