Author's Note: Sorry for the late update guys. It has been one hell of a journey these last couple of months. I will try to do better but don't hold it against me. Thank you for all the support.

By the time Kuroko had arrived home, he was exhausted. It had been a long day of studying and more socializing than he was used to. Heading straight to his room, he flopped onto bed and curled his head into the pillow, wrapping it around his ears. Closing his pale blue eyes, Kuroko decided a nap before dinner would work charms on his drained body and mind. Before he was whisked away into another dreamless sleep, flashes of red and purple appeared in his mind before fading to black.

As the morning sun rose, so did a head of messy and untamed sky blue locks. Dull eyes blinked themselves open and peered around the room. His nap had deepened into a full night's sleep, something he has not been able to attain since his parents left on their latest work trip. At least his early rising would lead to something useful. The boy with the low presence wanted to join an extracurricular activity in order to improve his experience of high school given that this was his last year.

Sleeping in his high school uniform may not have been his best decision however it had worked out well this morning when he was able to leave bright and early to grab his daily breakfast, a large vanilla milkshake from his favourite food chain, Maji Burger. It was only a ten minute walk and the line was short due to how early in the morning he had arrived. Checking his phone, Kuroko noticed that the time flashed 7:10. He had 50 minutes to spend before needing to be in class. Reaching the front of the line, the girl glances around him, trying to find the next person in line. Huffing, Kuroko cleared his throat which in turn, surprised the server. In the end, she took his order, handed him his milkshake and he walked away, slurping on the most delicious breakfast he could think of.

From Maji Burger to school was a short 15 minute walk through parks and back streets. It was best to stick to the non-crowded areas in order to avoid the hustle and bustle of people trying to get to work on time. Cutting through the park and seeing kids throwing the ball around reminded Kuroko of a time when his father used to play basketball with him. He had never felt such joy as he did when he was throwing the ball around with his father and laughing while his father attempted to shoot and, most often, fail. Reminiscing about the past distracted Kuroko as he mindlessly ventured to the school grounds.

Only once he had neared the school gymnasiums did he realise where he was. The tell-tale signs of squeaking shoes running on the wooden floors and the constant thumping of balls being dribbled up and down the court drew his attention. Sneaking closer, he tried peering through the window but it was too high up. Even on his tip-toes, only tufts of sky blue hair could be seen through the foggy glass. Spotting the door just to his left, he crept over and slowly opened it causing a low creaking sound to reverberate through the gymnasium as the hinges were forced to swing open. All noise stopped as the door miraculously opened and as curious eyes peered inside, they spotted familiar red hair that clung to a sweat soaked face and piercing red eyes.
