Hero Class First Lesson and Fated Battle Awaits!
"Okay, I'm off now!" Izuku said after tying his shoelaces.
"Have a good day, Izuku. And don't let that grumpy Aizawa get negative with you again, I didn't like the way he was looking at you." Tohru said before giving him a quick peek on the cheek.
"Thanks, and I'm sure he was just concern of how I can handle myself." Izuku assured and got a sudden hug from Kanna.
"Show them what you're made of, Papa." Kanna smiled, Izuku blushes of the adorable face.
"I will." Izuku petted her and left the apartment.
"And don't even think about following me to school, Tohru!" Izuku called out from outside.
"Damn it…" Tohru cursed.
"Want to watch TV for a bit?" Kanna asked to help keep Tohru distracted for a little while.
"Sure, but not for too long because I got some chores to do." Tohru said as they walk to the living room.
Then they suddenly hear knocking on the door.
"That's strange, Izuku couldn't have forgotten something." Tohru wondered if it's an early delivery man, but to her surprise it is actually Lucoa standing in front of the apartment.
"Hey Tohru, how are you?" Lucoa greeted.
"Lucao! I haven't seen you since the party last week, what are you doing here?" Tohru asked.
"Oh, I decided to come by because I wanted to talk to you about something important." Lucoa said opening one of her eyes.
(With Class 1-A)
"I'm so excited, are you excited because I am so excited that we're gonna have All Might as our teacher!" Mina squealed.
"Please, control your excitement! He hasn't arrive yet, so let's give him the utmost respect he deserves and follow his guidance." Tenya said.
"At least it'll be better than Mr. Aizawa." Denki said.
"(Okay, he should be here any minute now.)" Izuku thought.
"I am here… coming through the door like a hero!" All Might entered the classroom as the students get all thrill of having the Number 1 Hero as their teacher for Hero Training class.
"Welcome to the most important class at UA High, think of it as Hero-ing 101. Here, you will learn the basics of being a pro and what it means to fight in the name of good!" All Might explained about this class session.
"Let's get into it! Today's lesson will pull no punches!" All Might pulled out a card with the word "BATTLE" on it.
"Fight training." Katsuki smirked.
"Real combat?" Izuku shocked.
"But one of the keys of being a hero is… looking good!" All might pointed at a wall which and shelves are coming out holding cases metal briefcases with numbers.
"These were designed for you based on your Quirk registration forms and requests you sent in before school started." All Might informed.
"Alright, costumes." Izuku smiled.
"Get yourselves suited up, and then meet me at Training Ground Beta!" All Might ordered.
"Yes, sir!" Everyone in Class 1-A said at the same time.
(Later, Training Ground Beta)
All Might is seen waiting patiently within the fake training city as he looks at the exit tunnel which is also the entrance where the students will be coming out of, then a moment later he see the students coming out each wearing their own heroic costumes as they are unique to one student.
"They say clothes make the pros, young ladies and gentlemen, and behold you are the proof!" All Might said as all the students came out.
"Take this to heart. From now on you are all… Heroes in training!" All Might announced as he looks at everyone believing they are so cool with their costumes.
"Now, shall we started, you bunch of newbies?" All Might asked.
"(I don't see Young Midoriya, he must still be getting his costume in.)" All Might thought noticed that Izuku isn't with the others.
In the tunnel, Izuku is heading toward the light of the exit while remembering what Tohru and Inko gave him.
(Three Weeks Ago)
"Hey Izuku, we have a surprise for you!" Tohru said with Inko and Kanna next to her.
"What is it?" Izuku asked.
"It's your hero costume." Inko revealed as she hands him the bag.
"What? My hero costume?" Izuku shocked.
"That's right. While I was little cleaning one night, I saw you sleeping on your desk and may have looked at one of notebooks with the costume design you wanted and I showed it to Inko, thinking I could help make the course myself." Tohru explained.
"Yes, we put a lot of work into it." Inko nodded.
"I pitch in to help, the needles were a little poky with my fingers, but I did my very best!" Kanna added.
"Wow, really!" Izuku surprised.
"To be honest with you, I've been feeling really terrible lately. About something I said to you all those years ago." Inko remembered that she to Izuku as a little kid that things could have been different.
"I think you might have think I given up on you a while back, but now look at you. You persevered and kept chasing your dream like a real champion." Inko said making Izuku smile.
"I'm so sorry, Izuku. And I promise, I'll support you with everything I've got from now on!" Inko promised with little waterworks from her eyes.
"That goes double for me too! I added some special features to the costumes as you'll find out soon enough." Tohru smiled.
"Me too, me too!" Kanna jumped in joy.
"You guys." Izuku smiled as he holds the bag and took out the costume.
(Present)
"(It's a gift from my mom, Tohru, and Kanna. So, of course, this is what I'm gonna wear! It's not state-of-the-art or flashy, but it means something to me.)" Izuku thought as he runs out of the tunnel revealing his hoer costume in daylight.
Izuku now wears a green jumpsuit with the mask having two long ear-like protrusions that resembles All Might's haircut, a metal respirator with a makeshift sharp teeth smile, elbow length white gauntlets with spikes and segmented with ten blue buds on the backhand, knee length boots that are spiked as well and small sharp tips to the toe area, and his wings and tail are out because of the holes on back of his costume.
"(This is it. My hero costume.)" Izuku thought standing proud and strong.
"Hey, Deku!" Ochaco noticed Izuku entering the scene.
"Glad you could join us. Ribbit." Tsuyu said.
"Oh, Ochaco, Tsuyu." Izuku greeted and suddenly gasp blushing upon seeing their costume.
"Love you costume! Not too flashy, and there's also the danger feeling too which I can dig." Ochaco approved.
"Yeah, it definitely goes well with your Dragon Quirk." Tsuyu added.
"Looks little better than mine. I should've been more specific about what I wanted. This bodysuit is skintight, not really my style." Ochaco embarrassed.
"I don't know, my costume is a little skintight and its flexible to move around in. Just give it some time to get use to it." Tsuyu advised.
Izuku is glad that he is wearing his mask so that neither of the girls could see his blushing face and his dragon instinct roaring in his head to make those girls his, almost like he wants to pounces on them but he kept himself under control to not force something the girls don't want do right now.
All Might saw Izuku's costume admiring the fierce look, he also notices two certain parts that resemble his hair and smile pointing out that Izuku is obvious while trying to hold in his laughter.
"Now that you're ready, it's time for combat training." All Might said.
"Sir!" Tenya raised his hand.
"(Oh, so that's Tenya in there. He looks so cool and the costume look strangely familiar.)" Izuku thought thinking he seen that kind of design before.
"This is the fake city from our entrance exam. Does that mean we'll be conducting urban battles again?" Tenya asked.
"Not quite. I'm going to move you students two steps ahead." All Might answered.
"Most of the villain fights you see on the news take place outside. However, statistically speaking, run-ins with the most the dastardly evildoers take place indoors. Think about it: backroom deals, home invasion, secret underground lairs. Truly intelligent criminals stay hidden in the shadows." All Might listed the things some villains would be at even during fights.
"For this training exercise, you'll be split into teams of good guys and bad guys and fight two-on-two indoor battles." All Might informed the students of what they'll be doing.
"Isn't this a little advanced?" Tsuyu asked.
"Best training is what you get on the battlefield! But remember, you can't just punch a robot this time, you're dealing with actual people now." All Might explained.
The some of the students started asking All Might some questions of how this training exercise will go like in order, how hard they can fight, and how the pairings will be chose, except Yuya who just wanted his opinion if his cape is very fancy.
"I wasn't finished talking!" All Might growled but calms himself down and open a script book to explain the exercise scenario.
"The situation is this: the villain have hidden a nuclear missile somewhere in their hideout. The heroes must try to foil their plans. To do that, the good guys either have to capture the evildoers or recover the weapon. Likewise, the bad guys succeed if they protect their payload of capture the heroes." All Might explained what the exercise is going to be like.
"(Sounds like a classic action movie setup.)" Izuku thought commented.
"Uh, this sounds like a classic action movie setup." Mina said.
"Time is limited, and we'll choose teams by drawing lots!" All Might said as he holds up a yellow box.
"Isn't there a better way?" Tenya asked, not a fan of letting chance make the decision and stuff.
"Think about it. Pros often have to team up with heroes from other agencies on the spot, so maybe that's the reason we're seeing that here." Izuku pointed out.
"Yes, I see. Life is a random series of events." Tenya said a little serious.
"Excuse my rudeness." Tenya apologized bowing to All Might.
"No sweat. Let's draw!" All Might said.
(Drawing Team Lots Later)
"Wow, what are the chances? We're a team!" Ochaco cheered.
"(Oh my gosh! I have to make a good impression on her!)" Izuku thought panicked a little.
"Ribbit. I was hoping to either team up with Izuku or Ochaco, but you have to take what life can give you." Tsuyu said.
"That is true, so let's our best together." Fumikage Tokoyami nodded.
"I declare that the first teams to fight will be… these guys!" All Might pulled out one ball from the hero box and another from the villain box, showing ball A and D.
Izuku gasp that team D is Katsuki and Tenya, and he will be fighting his old childhood fight as the first pair of teams to fight each other while Katsuki is shock as well, he is also eager to blow the damn lizard nerd away.
"Team A will be the heroes, Team D will be the villains. Everyone else can head to the monitoring room to watch!" All Might said.
While the rest of the students walk to the monitoring room, Izuku and Katsuki look at each other with intense stares though Izuku did flinch a bit at first but gather the courage at stare strongly back at Katsuki. They could feel the strong spark of rivalry between them as this exercise will be become personal to them.
"Bad guys, you can go in and get set up. In five minutes, the good guys will be let loose and the battle will start!" All Might ordered.
Katsuki and Tenya walk inside the building finding the fake weapon as Tenya express that he doesn't like the idea of him playing as the villain, he will do his best to execute this battle training with all he got. However, Katsuki is more focus on roasting Izuku extra crispy believing that the idiot Deku was tricking him after all this time that he didn't have a Quirk despite being told that he is a late bloomer.
"(It doesn't matter, I'll prove to Deku that I'm the top dog!)" Katsuki thought determined with rage.
(With Izuku and Ochaco)
"Ya think they expect us to memorize this building's floor plan? It's so big, you know!" Ochaco worried that she won't remember most of this stuff.
"You know, All Might is just as cool in person as he is on television! I'm glad he's not threatening us with some kind of punishment like Mr. Aizawa, we can relax-Ah! You're sweating through your costume!" Ochaco gasped seeing Izuku shaking up of nervousness and can see sweats.
"Well, it just because we're up against Kacchan. Plus, there's Tenya too. We should be on our guard, who knows what they'll pull." Izuku advised while trying to calm himself down.
"Oh right, Bakugo is the one who's always making fun of you because he didn't think you would be here today, right?" Ochaco recalled seeing how the two former friends interact with each other.
"Yeah, he was very surprise about my Quirk, and I think I heard him saying about burying me eight feet under." Izuku sighed.
"But despite that, I still of think him being amazing. Sure, he can be a real pain, but his strength and confidence, and his ambition, not to mention his Quirk. Even though my Dragon Quirk is pretty amazing too, Kacchan has always worked really hard making his determination that much greater than anyone." Izuku said as he stands up with his wings spread, and almost made Ochaco fell.
"But that just means I have to do better. I refuse to lose today!" Izuku said with strong fire in his eyes.
Ochaco's heart suddenly started beating faster than normal upon seeing Izuku like this, the strong words coming out of his mouth and the burning spirit she could sense as her cheeks has tiny pink dots on them, Ochaco smiles thinking Deku can win this battle.
"So, it's a fated battle between rivals?" Ochaco asked smiling.
"Oh, not that I'm trying to get you wrapped up in my fight or anything." Izuku stuttered.
"Are you kidding? We're a team, right? Let's win this!" Ochaco cheered with her fist in the air, making Izuku smile from her cheerfully mood.
"All right!" All Might shouted through the speaker boxes, getting the teams' attention.
"Let's begin the indoor combat training! Team A and Team D, your time starts now!" All Might announced.
(Monitoring Room)
"Pay attention, kids. Think about what you would do." All Might said as they are watching five footage screens on the large monitor TV.
"(Young Midoriya, in this class, you're just another student. I'll grade you as I would anyone else without playing favorites.)" All Might thought reminded himself that he can't treat Izuku anything special despite being his successor with One for All.
"I wonder whose teeth will out first?" Rikido asked.
"Dude, that is just nasty." Hanta pointed out.
(Back at the Training Building)
"Okay, we'll go through the window on the second floor and start our search from there." Izuku planned.
"Got it." Ochaco nodded.
Izuku wrap his arms around Ochaco's waist he flies them up to the window and help her get inside then he came in.
"Uh, you know I could have use my Quirk to get myself up here." Ochaco pointed out blushing.
"Oh, right! Sorry." Izuku apologized, blushing too.
"(Alright, Kacchan.)" Izuku thought.
Meanwhile, with Katsuki and Tenya.
"Hey, speedy blue. Look after the weapon, I'm going to take out the damn lizard nerd." Katsuki walked away.
"Huh? But we're supposes to be working together!" Tenya reminded Katsuki, but he just ignores him.
"(Prepare yourself, Deku.)" Katsuki thought angered.
"(I'm going to win this battle with all I got!)" Izuku and Katsuki thought the same thing as the battle between the hero and villain team begins now.

Now we have arrived at the battle training part where Izuku and Katsuki are fated to battle each other to see which of them is stronger, things are going to be different now that Izuku has dragon powers as a little accident bounces from Tohru but will it be enough to hold against Katsuki in close combat? You'll have to find out in the next chapter to see.
And Tohru got an unexpected visit from Lucoa who wants something from her friend, this might have something to d with Izuku as well.
