Dragon's Fire Against the Icy Wall
The second the big TV screen shows the points of each student has, everyone had their faces become that of surprise and confuse on what is going on with the current score right now.
"An unexpected twist." Lucoa smiled with one eye open.
"Hold on here, this is an expected turn. Other than Midoriya, Class 1-A's not doing so hot! Even Bakugo is losing!" Present Mic gasped.
The scene shows the jumbo screen again seeing that Katsuki's team just went down to zero points, and that happened because Neito unexpected snatch his headband from behind before Katsuki could react.
"You know, I really took sympathy on your class, but I also see that you're the one out of Class 1-A who has the small mind. Think bigger." Neito mocked a little.
"He got us!" Mina gasped that their points got stolen.
"What did you say? Come back here?" Katsuki yelled in rage.
"Midnight said the obstacle course was just the first game, and we figured they wouldn't cut that many of us right off the bat. Would they?" Neito asked which Katsuki was confused.
"Assuming they'd keep at least 40 contestants for the next event, all we had to do was make sure we stayed within that group as we ran. From our spots, in middle ranks, we could fully observe the Quirks our rivals have and judge their capabilities." Neito explained.
"Only a fool would obsess over winning the preliminary rounds, wouldn't you agree?" Neito asked sarcastically.
"You planned this as a class?" Katsuki asked.
"Not quite. This is just my own thoughts I shared with my classmates, this is my own game plan, and it worked out well for some of them." Neito said while putting on Katsuki's headband.
"Hey, they're coming." One classmate alerted Neito that others are coming.
"It's better than chasing after a temporary frontrunner like a horse with a carrot waving in his face." Neito mocked causing Katsuki's face to get angry
"Oh, while I have your attention. You're kind of famous, aren't you? For being attacked by that sludge villain. You'll have to tell me about it sometime. It must be strange to always find yourself in the whole of the victim." Neito mentioned that incident Katsuki got caught in as an insult.
That was a big mistake because Neito has no idea on how capable Katsuki can be when someone push certain buttons, they should never have push, and he will see that soon.
"Kirishima, we have a change of plans." Katsuki said in a low tone as his body emits a demonic red aura with his eyes glowing red too.
Seeing Katsuki getting angrier than anything his classmates have seen almost like he has become a beast ready to hunt down Neito until the ends of the earth. Neito notice this as well.
"Whoa, Katsuki looks like demon!" Kana saw this and was surprised a human could become this scary like a demon.
"Oh dear, I hope he doesn't end up hurting anyone too badly!" Inko exclaimed worry.
"Before we take down Deku, we're gonna kill every last one of these B-list idiots!" Katsuki declared as he glares fiercely at Neito who just grins.
"(Holy, whoa. Class 1-B had a long-term strategy that involved throwing the qualifier. I guess that could help them leave a bigger impression with the audience. Everyone does kinda love an underdog.)" Izuku thought was impressed with Class 1-B making their move.
"(But… If they're playing the long game here, they might not even bother coming after my headband at all!)" Izuku thought realized that as well.
"Everyone, don't worry, I think we're okay." Izuku said to his teammates.
"Think again!" Tsuyu said as everyone stops.
The reason for Team Midoriya stopping is because they have found themselves right in front of Team Todoroki with the leader looking at Izuku intensely.
"And now we've reached the halfway point of the game!" Present Mic announced.
Izuku was surprised to have run into Shoto now of all times, just when he and his team were doing so well in avoiding everyone for a long while, but now they have come across a difficult challenge and there's no getting around that.
"I thought we had it made. Guess I was wrong." Izuku knew he would have to face Shoto sooner or later.
"As the Cavalry Battle enters its second half, it's anyone's game! Class 1-B has made an unexpected showing, but who will wear the ten million points in the end? That's the real question, sports fans!" Present Mic commented.
"I'll be taking that now." Shoto said.
Meanwhile, with Minoru's team.
"When you told me about this plan of our team, it was a good idea. However, it would seem fate has played a cruel joke on us." Fumikage stated that Minoru somehow lost the headbands.
"Where the fuck did it go?!" Minoru whimpered.
"If I had to guess, someone must've taken it while we were relaxing despite keeping our guard up. I apologize for not noticing it." Fumikage apologized.
"This just means there's nothing left to lose!" Minoru clutched his fists, feeling angry from this.
"Shoji! Full-on attack mode!" Minoru ordered, Mezo opened his arms and holding them forward then charges at Team Midoriya and Team Todoroki.
"We'll use all our powers to steal the points from those two teams!" Minoru said.
"Striking while they're busy with each other, that's a good plan." Fumikage said while having Dark Shadow out to be ready.
"Ribbit, ribbit. It looks like Todoroki is dead set on taking you down right here and now, Izuku." Tsuyu croaked nervously.
"The game's only halfway over. We can't stop me." Izuku said.
"Now, Iida. Forward!" Shoto ordered.
"Right!" Tenya burst forward with his Engine Quirk.
"Yaoyorozu. Be ready to protect us." Shoto said to Momo.
"On it." Momo started using her Creation Quirk to make something for the upcoming attack they're about to lay onto Izuku's team.
"Kaminari—"
"Oh, I know what I gotta do." Denki already knew what his part in this attack and he is ready for it.
Izuku can see that Shoto's team is coming at his, and he quickly looks around to see that there are more incoming charges toward him.
"Watch our surroundings. It's not just Todoroki. Everyone's after us!" Izuku alerted, seeing a few more teams coming at him as well.
"I hope you made something strong, Yaoyorozu!" Denki said, charging up for his big attack.
Shoto pulls up the electric proof blanket to cover himself along with Momo and Tenya to protect themselves from Denki's attack, and Momo even made a block rod from the ground.
"Indiscriminate Shock. 1.3 million volts!" Denki unleashed a huge wave of his Electrification Quirk that zapped everyone around them, making them feel more shocked in a painful way.
"No!" Izuku quickly grabbed onto the girls and flew up with his strong wings to avoid the electric attack.
"Kaminari!" Kyoka shouted in pain.
Once the electric attack stops, Shoto prepared himself to do his part in the plan.
"Less than six minutes left. It's time to make a move." Shoto grabbed the rocky pole to spread his ice there and onto the ground freezing the other teams behind them.
"Sorry, but there's no other way." Shoto apologized while leaving them in the ice.
"Will you look at that! He's stopped all those teams cold in their tracks!" Present Mic surprised.
"But only after Kaminari had immobilized the students using his electricity." Aizawa pointed out.
"In the obstacle course, he was surprised by how many people avoided his attack. He's adapting his strategy." Aizawa stated.
"Nice commentary!" Present Mic said holding a thumb up at Aizawa.
"I might as well take these too." Shoto said as he grabs a few headbands from some of the other teams and then created an ice wall to block them from going after him.
Ochaco heard a little boom from right behind her and she turns to see something is wrong with the jetpack.
"Hey guys, the jetpack isn't working anymore! I think it's broken!" Ochaco informed nervously.
"Baby! Guess it needs some upgrades." Mei was saddened that another of her "babies" is down.
"They're too fast. We can't get away!" Ochaco worried.
"I'll get them!" Tsuyu launched at tongue to attack the block, only that attacked was blocked by Momo's quick creating to stop it.
"She's too good at her Creation Quirk. We have to be careful." Izuku commented.
"It's not just her we have to worry about, but Kaminari too. If his attack had gotten us, then we would've been done for with no ten million points." Tsuyu pointed out another threat.
"Yeah, it was a good thing I was able to dodge that." Izuku said. Now he needs to come up with a plan to deal with Team Todoroki, but then the team stops at the edge of the field.
"Team Midoriya has nowhere left to run!"Present Mic commented.
"Oh no, they're trap!" Inko gasped, seeing they are surrounded by ice.
"Don't worry, Izuku will think of something. I hope…" Tohru gulped, feeling nervous about this.
"We need to think of way to get around him. I say… on his left side." Izuku focused his sight on Shoto's left side of his body, knowing full well that Shoto never uses his left side in battle.
"This'll work out. All we have to do is hang on to the ten million points, no matter what!" Izuku determined to get through this.
(With Team Bakugo vs Team Monoma)
"Monoma. Don't provoke him, man. That's the kinda thing he would do." Sen Kaibara advised.
Sen is a young man of average height with dark brown, shaggy hair and black eyes with white irises, which look relatively thin and lazy looking. He has a modest athletic build, the same as most of his classmates, and a slight tan. He wears the gym uniform of UA High.
"Yeah, I guess you're right. It's not very heroic of me. Besides, you know how these things work. Heros are always being hounded by moronic villains desperate for some kind of revenge." Neito proclaimed.
"Calm down, Bakugo. You've gotta keep a level head or we'll never get out points back." Eijiro advised.
Katsuki just let out a roar and slam his hands together making a little explosion, showing that he is ready to attack.
"Shut up! I've never been calmer, can't you tell?" Katsuki proclaimed with a scary dark grin.
"Now get after them, Kirishima!" Katsuki ordered.
"Please don't make us regret this." Eijiro said before the team charges at them.
"You think you're tough?" Katsuki shouted at the idiot from Class 1-B.
Neito doesn't look scared in the slightest even when he saw Katsuki looking fucked up scary a moment ago, but that won't matter because he is going to surprise him with a little something of his own.
"DIE!" Katsuki threw an exploding punch, but Neito parries it away and letting Katsuki past him.
Katsuki was surprised that this extra was able to dodge his attack just like that, this only pisses him off even more as he turns around to attack again only to suddenly got blasted in the face by an explosion from Neito's hand.
"Wow! I see why you like this Quirk." Neito commented and made a slight touch on Eijiro's hair.
"My power…" Katsuki shocked and shrugging off the attack.
"How weird! That guy has your Quirk?!" Eijiro gasped as he also harden himself.
"Damn it!" Katsuki threw another exploding strike with a little more power.
"You both have impressive powers. But I think you'll agree mine's better." Neito complimented showing that he is not only unharmed from the attack, but parts of his body is hardened too.
"What? Mine too?!" Eijiro was shocked that this guy somehow has his Hardening Quirk too.
"Bastard. His Quirk, he can copy other powers." Katsuki figured out what this Neito guy's Quirk.
"Very good." Neito said sarcastically. But really impress that Katsuki actually has any brains to figure that out.
Neito Monoma. His Quirk: Copy. He can use the Quirks of whomever he touches, but only for five minutes. Plus, he can only borrow one at a time.
"So, even an idiot can figure it out." Neito mocked.
That got Katsuki angry to charge at him and throw down some explosive beatdown, but his path was cut off when another student from Class 1-B shots out a big sticky glue-like substance from his face.
"Ew, did that guy just vomit?" Elma felt gross from seeing that.
"Is it something that you can eat?" Kana asked curiously.
"Absolute not!" Inko and Kobayashi yelled at the same time.
"It kind of looks like glue." Shouta guessed.
"Nice one, thanks for the backup, Bondo." Neito thanked.
"Monoma, if we keep those headbands, we're good. As long as no one gets near us, we'll make our class proud." Sen said and the team exit the scene.
"Stop them!" Katsuki ordered.
"It's too sticky! Crap, I can't move!" Eijiro cursed as his right foot got caught in the white sticky trap.
"No prob. I'll melt through this stuff with my Quirk." Mina hurried using her Quirk from her foot to start the melting.
"Well, hurry! We're sitting at zero points now!" Hanta panicked that the team is behind right now.
"Oh, no hard feelings, right? After all, you provoked us." Neito said to Katsuki.
"What was it you said in your little speech before the games?" Neito said pretending he doesn't remember which made Katsuki angry again.
"Oh, right. Oof." Neito grinned.
(Flashback)
"I just wanna say I'm gonna win." Katsuki said for the opening speech.
(Flashback End)
"(This isn't over. I'm still gonna come out on top. And I won't just make it to first place—I'll be the undeniable champion!)" Katsuki thought determined with rage.
"Only one minute left! Todoroki has cornered the ten-million-point team and is poised to seize the ultimate prize!" Present Mic announced.
"At least that's what I would have predicted five minutes ago!" Present Mic laughed, this game has truly gotten amazing even right now.
"Unbelievably, Team Midoriya's been able to keep away from the ice master for the last half of the game!"Present Mic impressed.
"Stay back!" Izuku shouted while his team move on their right which is moving onto Shoto's left side.
"(You're going good, kid.)" Toshinori thought smiled, seeing how well Izuku is doing so far.
"He's exploiting your weaknesses. Don't be a fool." Endeavor said, knowing this boy has use it.
This battle just became a little harder than he thought with how Izuku and his team are moving.
"(Midoriya is keeping his distance and staying on my left side, That's his strategy.)" Shoto thought figured out.
"(From this position if I try to freeze them, I'll hit Iida. If he keeps moving like this, there's no way to get a clear shot at his team. Plus, Midoriya might use his fire breath to melt the ice and escape, we have to stop him before he does that. There's not much time left.)" Shoto thought frustrated of Izuku's thinking mind.
"Midoriya, how fast can your fire melt that ice?" Tsuyu asked.
"Not sure, let's move in closer to the ice." Izuku ordered.
"(The bastard.)" Shoto thought cursed of how well-played Midoriya is being.
"Everyone, we have less than 60 seconds. I'm gonna do something that'll make me useless to you." Tenya warned.
"What are you gonna do?" Shoto asked as he and the others are confused of what Tenya is talking about.
"Make sure you get that headband." Tenya bends down one knee and the engine sound from his legs are going off.
"Brace yourselves, hold on tight!" Tenya started increasing the fire of his engine pipes to let out blue flames.
"Torque Over—"
"I gotta—" But Izuku was able to react in time to use his fire breath to melt through the ice to escape for Team Todoroki have snatched the ten-million-point headband with such incredible speed.
"Reciproburst!"Tenya shouted.
Izuku and his team were shocked that somehow, Tenya was able to turn the tide against them and now they're the ones in the lead with the ten million points.
"What was that?! That was one big blur! Holy smoke, folks, why didn't he show off that superspeed in the preliminary?"Present Mic asked feeling amazes from that.
"Iida, what was that?" Shoto asked still shock.
"Force my torque and RPM into overdrive, which gave me explosive power! Unfortunately, the recoil stalls me engines for a while. It's a secret move I've been saving, no one in the class knew about it." Tenya explained with his engines no good for a while.
Izuku had no idea that Tenya had this kind of power from within his Quirk, and now he has seen it with his own eyes how strong Tenya has gotten before the sports festival.
"I told you, Midoriya… that I'd go my best to beat you." Tenya grinned.

Holy… Tenya had used a secret move of his that got his team to snatch up that ten million point for themselves leaving team Midoriya with only 390 points, now Izuku will have to try and get those points back with little time they have left.
