Melting the Ice to Stay at the Top
"Insanity! This entire game was just turned completely on its head! Todoroki's team has the ten-million-points, and Midoriya's team is suddenly left with only 390 points!" Present Mic announced exciting, and the crowd was very surprised to hear that which got them even more excited than before.
"So, one of his human friends got the big headband away from Izuku with a secret weapon of his own. Now he's barely hanging on." Elma pointed out.
"Maybe so, but he's not going to let that slide. For us dragons, if something is taken from us then we do what we can to get it back no matter what even if it means charging at death itself!" Tohru believed that Izuku will get his headband back.
"I really hope there isn't literally death in this!" Inko exclaimed.
"Don't let them go!" Izuku ordered, not going to let this slide.
"Are you sure about that? Ribbit. I think it would be best to go after the other points, just enough to get us in the next round." Tsuyu advised as Mei nods in agreement.
"We can't! We don't know who's got the other headbands. This is our only chance!" Izuku pointed out since they're low on time anyway.
"Then let's go! We'll get the points back, Deku! I know it!" Ochaco pushed her team forward, determined to get their points back for Deku.
"Uraraka!" Izuku shocked and recall the talk about Ochaco's reason of wanting to become a hero.
"I'm gonna become a pro. I'll sign with a good agency and make plenty of money. Then my parents will have an easy life."
"(That's right.)" Izuku thought started to realize something as he also recalled what Mei said to him.
"I'd like to use your fame to my personal advantage!"
"(I'm not alone in this.)" Izuku thought realized that now. Then remembers what Tsuyu said to him right before the Cavalry Battle started.
(Flashback)
"Midoriya, no. Izuku." Tsuyu started calling him by his given him.
"We're all counting on you to get us through this game together. We're putting our faith in you, including me." Tsuyu smiled at Izuku.
(Flashback End)
"(All three of them put their trust in me. This is my responsibility.)" Izuku thought started charging upOne for Allthroughout his entire body though doing this on instinct without realizing it.
Shoto gasp seeing the powerful determination on Midoriya's face as he and his team come charging at him to get the ten-million-point headband back, almost like he is staring at a real dragon coming to burn him down.
"(We all have our reasons to win this, and I refuse to let the others down!)" Izuku thought charged forward.
Shoto moved up his left arm for defense though he is so focused on Midoriya that he hadn't notice that his fire side of his Quirk came out of the arm for an extra burning defense.
"With time almost up, Team Todoroki is in first place with three headbands. Despite their best efforts, Team Midoriya has fallen in fifth place and struggling big time!"Present Mic announced.
"Will these be the top four teams that move on to the next round?"Present Mic asked exciting.
"Come on, Deku!" Tohru shouted loudly.
"We've done pretty well for ourselves. Now, we can let the clock run out." Neito decided to hold out until the end of the game.
"Loser! Get back here!" Katsuki shouted angrily.
"Doesn't he ever give up." Neito sighed and decided to give Katsuki a little lecture.
"Knowing you've been bested is an important part of being a hero." Neito stated.
However, Katsuki just immediately launched himself from his team toward Neito's team as he wants to teach that copy bastard a listen.
'Hey, don't just fly off on your own!" Eijiro shouted.
"Tsuburaba, stop him!" Neito quickly ordered.
Kosei Tsuburaba made on inhale of breath and blow creating a wall of air that stop Katsuki from getting too close to Neito, literally stopping him in midair.
"A'right!" Kosei smiled proudly of his Quirk stopping the guy.
Kosei Tsuburaba. His Quirk: Solid Air. He can harden the air to form walls or steps. The bigger the breath, the stronger the shield!
Kosei is a young man with short brown hair, spiked up at odd angles on his head. His eyes are oval-shaped, along with his large pupils. He wears the UA High gym uniform.
"You look pretty stupid fighting with air." Kosei mocked with a chuckle, seeing how Katsuki is trying to punch through his air shield.
But before Team Monoma could move away from the annoying angry boy, Katsuki broke through the air wall with his bare hand and grabs onto two headbands nabbing them away from Neito.
"Crap, he snatched some of them!" Neito shocked.
Katsuki is once again pulled back onto his team thanks to Hanta's tape while the leader glares angrily at the stupid copy bastard.
"Team Bakugo nabs two headbands and moves into third place!"Present Mic announced and the crowd goes wild again.
"The final moments of this game have been full of shakeups! Oh, to be young again!"Present Mic commented excitingly.
Neito and his team quickly defended themselves from two other teams that tried to come at them and take their headbands to increase their own points, but there stop with Kosei and Neito using Solid Air together.
"Damn it!" Neito cursed himself for losing the headbands to Katuski for clearly underestimating him.
"We're still in fourth place, it's fine." Kosei assured.
"Kendo's been frozen and hasn't been a real player." Kosei pointed out as Itsuka and her team are still trap in the ice and are struggling to get out.
"Yeah, if we defend this one to the death, we'll move forward." Neito determined as he hold the headband up to his face.
"I told you to warn us before ya jumped!" Hanta scolded.
"Whatever, this means we're advancing." Eijiro stated.
"We're not done! We're gonna be the indisputable champions of the game!" Katsuki determined while pounding his fist on Eijiro's head which was harden. Yep, he's not done with Neito just yet.
"Now, look at this. One of Class 1-B's strategy was a reasonable one, but there's one thing they forgot to consider." Aziawa said, seeing how Katsuki's team is chasing after Neito's team.
"I couldn't brace myself earlier when I jumped. Get closer, we'll get our points back from this idiot, then go for the big one!" Katsuki planned strongly as his teammates are surprise and agrees with him.
"Do it!" Hanta said, going with Katsuki's exploding approach all the way.
"Elbow guy, tape them!" Katsuki ordered moving up his left leg.
"My name is Sero!" Hanta corrected and launch his tape forward next to Neito.
"You missed." Neito pointed out the bad aim. But what he doesn't know is that Katsuki has a plan to get in closer to him.
"Raccoon eyes! Lay down some acid in the direction we're going." Katsuki ordered again and lifting his right leg this time.
"It's Mina Ashido!" Mina corrected and released some acid forward.
"(Young Bakugo, you understand something crucial, a truth no one had to teach you. But there's a difference between those aim for the top, and those who will settle. And that difference matters.)" Toshinori thought admired Katsuki's drive.
"Class 1-B didn't take into account Bakugo's overwhelming tenacity." Aizawa mentioned the thing that always pushes Katsuki forward no matter what.
Kosei quickly formed a solid wall of air to stop that crazy guy from getting their points and maybe Neito can use that little moment of pause to try taking back the other points that were stolen from them as well, but that plan completely failed when Katsuki completely shattered the air wall with his Explosive Quirk and snatch his team's headband as well.
"Bakugo is a merciless force! What a point hog! That was a shield break heard around the arena, and I can't wait to watch the replay!"Present Mic commented and the crowd cheers for him.
"Now! We're going after Deku and Todoroki!" Katsuki ordered.
(With Izuku vs Shoto)
"(Just like what happened with the zero-point robot. I used only 10% of One for All and it worked out better than I hoped for.)" Izuku thought remembered back in the obstacle course, that punch on that robot was enough to push it back.
"(Though I'll admit that punch did feel a bit more powerful than I expected, but even so… I'm going to charge in!)" Izuku thought crouched down and jumps straight up into the air.
The force of the jump causes a little shockwave to make Shoto feel that wind, and that wind is also fanning the flame on his left arm for the user to finally notice it and he was shocked to see that it somehow came out on its own.
"(My left side! What am I doing?)" Shoto thought wondered how he let that disgusting fire come out from his left side.
"(He's turned the bands around to hide their point values, but he put the ten million one on last, right? So, it must be on top!)" Izuku thought guessing which headband is his target.
But then his nose picked up something in the air and it's coming from below him right at Shoto in the neck area, it was then he realizes that it must be the heighten sense of his nose being high as a dragon's nose and it's telling him where the headband is.
"Got it!" Izuku zoomed back down at Shoto and snatched one headband.
But at the moment Izuku grabbed one of the headbands, Shoto saw him coming down fast and quickly thrust his right hand to freeze him in place to prevent him from taking the band only to be met with the dragon fire push the freezing hand away and suddenly on instinct the fire of the left side came out again to protect Shoto from being burned by the dragon fire.
Izuku quickly move away from Team Todoroki and took to the sky to get himself some distance from his opponents.
Izuku takes a good look at the headband to make absolutely sure that he got the right one, and to his relief it is the headband worth ten million points.
"I did it!" Izuku roared loudly for everyone to hear, and it was a loud roar indeed.
"That's right, let the entire world know that you're the one on top!" Tohru smiled.
"Go papa, you got this!" Kana cheered for Izuku again.
"With just 11 seconds left, team Midoriya has snatched another headband to get themselves back in the leaderboard!" Present Mic announced exciting.
"Alright!" Ochaco smiled.
"Good work, Deku." Tsuyu was proud of Izuku for getting it back.
"Oh yeah, we're back at the top now, baby!" Mei shouted with excitement.
"Impossible! How could he have known where the ten-million-point headband was? We mixed them up so that Midoriya could get the wrong one at the top." Momo was confused, she didn't expect Izuku to get the right one right off the bat.
"It would seem that we may have underestimated Midoriya's instinct than we thought." Tenya said.
"Deku, how did you know where it was?" Ochaco asked, having heard what Momo said about their mix-up plan.
"It was my nose; I sniffed my scent when I had the headband on." Izuku answered.
"What are you, part-bloodhound now?" Tsuyu asked, doing a little joke.
"That game's almost over. Time for the countdown!"Present Mic announced and the hologram board changed into a timer down from ten seconds.
"Let's get out of here, now!" Izuku ordered, seeing no point in fighting anymore now that they got their ten million points back.
However, someone else came through the ice wall revealing to be Katsuki having use his powerful explosions to burst through and flew off with his team following right behind him.
"Deku!" Katsuki shouted at his dragon rival.
"Bakugo!" Eijiro called out to the leader.
"Damn it, Kacchan is here!" Izuku cursed.
"We have to get moving, now! Yaoyozoru!" Shoto ordered as Momo created a metal staff for him, but it's going to be hard to move fast with Tenya's engines still wore out from using his special move.
"Bring it on!" Izuku shouted, he's willing to take on both of them at once.
Katsuki shouted as he blasts himself toward Izuku while Shoto's team is about to advance forward at Izuku as well, all three teams look like they're about to make an epic clash that could be spoken in the history books.
"Time's up!"Present Mic declared, and Katsuki just fall flat on his face to the ground and the teams stopped.
"And with that, the official second battle is finally over."Present Mic said.
Izuku let out a sigh of relief knowing that the Cavalry Battle is finally over and that he can finally rest for a while before the next game.
"Bakugo! Are you okay, man?" Eijiro asked concern for his friend, but Katsuki only growls mumbling to the ground and pounding his fist on the ground in anger as well.
"Damn it…" Shoto cursed under his breath.
"Now, let's take a look at who our top four teams are!" Present Mic excited while Aizawa just looks on emotionless as always.
"In first place, Team Midoriya!" Present Mic announced.
"Yes!" Tohru and Kana shouted in joy at the same time. The others are happy to see that Izuku's team was able to get through this despite the hardness of the game.
"We won! We actually won, but it was so hard just to keep away from everybody!" Ochaco smiled exclaiming, like her body is about to give out.
"It was a big struggle, good thing our leader pulled through in the end." Tsuyu said.
"You hear that, my babies? Your sacrifices weren't in vain!" Mei hugged onto the jetpack, feeling proud of her gadgets lasting this long.
"Thank you, girls. I'm really glad to have teamed up with such wonderful girls like you." Izuku complimented with his kind smile.
That causes Ochaco, Tsuyu, and even Mei to feel their hearts have been struck with their face blushing.
"In second place, Team Todoroki!"
"We may not have gotten in first place, but it was too close for comfort." Momo sighed as she was nervous for a moment there.
"I'm sorry, l let everyone down, didn't I?" Tenya blamed himself for almost losing the position.
"That's not true. You're the reason we were very close. Thank goodness for that special move of yours." Momo tried to cheer up Tenya despite the team being in second place.
"In third place is Team Bakugo!"
"Ugh. We were so close to first place!" Mina complained and shook her hands from having to use so much of her Acid Quirk.
"Meh. Sure. But we're movin' on, so it's all good." Hanta smirked, thinking they can still get their chances to shine in the next round.
"I don't think our leader would agree with you. Like at all." Eijiro pointed out as Katsuki is screaming in rage of being in third place, right behind Deku and that Icy-Hot bastard.
"And in fourth place is Tetsute—Wait, what? It's Team Shinso? When did they come back from the dead?" Present Mic was surprised to see that Hitoshi and his team were able to secure a spot for them to advance further into the final game of the UA Sports Festival.
"Thanks for all your help." Hitoshi thanked his team as he walks away, but the three looked more confused like they haven't the foggiest clue on what was going on around them.
"These four valent teams will be moving on to the final round!"Present Mic declared.
Toshinori let out a sigh of relief, feeling like he was on the edge of his seat just now from how things were getting for Young Midoriya.
Shoto look over at Izuku who is feeling happy and proud that he was able to keep himself at top for a moment, and then he looks down at his own left hand remembering just a short moment ago on what happened in that last moment of the Cavalry Battle.
"(I said I never use this to attack, but as soon as I was overwhelmed, I broke my own promise. And it happened twice.)" Shoto thought clutched his left fist.
"At this rate, he'll win, and I'll end up who he wants me to be." Shoto felt like his bastard of a father is going to get his way with him soon.
"Now, let's take an hour lunch break before we start the afternoon festivities! See ya soon!"Present Mic signed off from the mic.
"Hey, Eraser Head, let's grab some food." Present Mic offered to have some with Aizawa.
"I'm taking a nap." Aizawa decided to sleep on it.
Meanwhile, with the dishearten Team Tetsutetsu.
"What the fucking Hell just happened? Suddenly we had zero points, and it was all over like shit." Tetsutetsu wondered.
"Maybe it was some sort of karmic punishment. For taking the tiny one's headband. It was so underhanded." Ibara guessed, remembering how she stole Minoru's headband from behind where there was an opening in Mezo's defense.

The Cavalry Battle is finally over, and four teams have gotten enough points to move on to the next and final game of the sports festival, and Izuku remains at the top thanks to his dragon might to get his ten-million-point headband back from Shoto. Now, it's lunchbreak for everyone.
