Inner Dragon Saves the Day

"Okay, now I'm at a lost of words." Aizawa said.

"Me too, like what the fuck is going on down there?!" Present Mic freaked out.

"We saw that Izuku Midoriya has been caught in the trap of Hitoshi Shinso's Quirk that was going to cause him the match by a ring out, but suddenly he started acting totally weirder than before!" Present Mic pointed out what is going on in that ring.

"Stop! I order you to stop!" Hitoshi shouted while dodging a claw strike from Izuku's right arm.

While Izuku's mind is still under the affect of Hitoshi's Brainwashing Quirk, it would seem that both his tail and right arm are going against the order as the tail slams on the ground to make the body move toward Izuku and the right arm is reaching out to attack him almost getting close to him.

"I don't know what the fuck is going on with Izuku, but this is starting to creep me out a little." Kyoka felt worried for Izuku.

"Go Deku, beat up that guy for trying to control you!" Ochaco cheered.

"You idiot, his mind is still being controlled by the purple extra." Katsuki stated the obvious that the others couldn't see.

"He's right, his face still tells us that Midoriya is still under the affect of Shinso's Quirk meaning he didn't break off on his own. But it would appear that two parts of his body are working against him." Fumikage noticed this.

"But how is that even possible?" Momo wondered in surprise.

"This boy, he is unlike anything any of us have ever seen. An unknown." Ryukyu commented, seeing how Izuku is still attacking though not exactly himself.

"Huh, what is going on over there? What is happening to my baby?" Inko worried for her son.

"Is that part of his Quirk?" Kanna asked.

"I don't think so, this appears to be something else entirely." Shouta said.

"You're right, this might have something to do with his dragon side." Kobayashi guessed as she looks over to Tohru and the other three dragon women.

"I'll be honest, I never seen anything like that before. But you might also be right about the dragon side, his inner dragon must've taken hold on whatever willpower Izuku had within him and is trying to attack that Shinso boy to break him out." Tohru said.

"I believe you are exactly right. All dragons have their own inner instincts that have us do things before we could even think about doing it, and most of those instincts are but one thing." Lucoa explained.

"That is to destroy those who would have dark intensions against us." Elma revealed that for Lucoa.

"But if we're lucky, Izuku should be able to hold his inner dragon back from actually killing the guy even though I want him to burn to death with even his ashes being completely erased from the face of the earth!" Tohru smirked evilly.

"Tohru, you know fully well that would never bring himself to kill someone." Inko reminded her of Izuku's heroic heart.

"Yeah, papa is a better dragon than that." Kanna nodded.

"But still, Izuku better find a way to get himself back in control or else he'll end up killing him." Elma said.

Back in the fight, Izuku's right arm is still trying to get close to Hitoshi to slash him down to size which is getting closer and closer.

"This shouldn't be happening. Your body shouldn't be moving at all, you should be out of the ring, and I win!" Hitoshi was confused and angered at the same time.

"(What's going on? Am I fighting? No, this feels different.)" Izuku thought noticed something off is going on here.

The right arm of the dragon boy leaps over to Hitoshi and almost got him, leaving a small cut on his cheek with a very fin blood drop coming out.

"The fuck… Are you trying to kill me?" Hitoshi asked in shock.

"(Kill him? No, this isn't what I wanted. I just want to win, to move up in the tournament and win this using my own strength, but I will never forgive myself if I kill someone who just wants to prove himself.)" Izuku thought tried to stop his own body from killing Hitoshi.

Izuku's right arm and the tail kept on attacking Hitoshi with one strike from the tail in the stomach that knocked the air out of him and another slash on the shoulder that ripped the fabric into a whole with little cuts.

"Shit!" Hitoshi threw a punch in the stomach, but that did nothing and kicked him on the chest to push himself away from Izuku.

"(No! This isn't the kind of fight I want, not how I want to show myself to everyone on what kind of hero I am!)" Izuku thought struggled more to summon his willpower to stop his body.

Hitoshi pants with a slight sting of pain as he looks over his shoulder to see the small cuts and look up to see Izuku coming at him to attack.

Hitoshi brace himself, but the attack never came as he looks up to see that Izuku has stopped.

(Mindscape)

"Huh, what's going on? Did I stop?" Izuku asked, noticing that he's not attacking Hitoshi anymore.

Suddenly there was a very loud vicious roar that can be heard from everywhere that made him jump a little, but he gasps in utter shock to see a giant green dragon right in front of him that is shining of emerald glow like it's made of jades.

"What the… Why is there a dragon here?" Izuku asked in shock.

The emerald dragon let out a fierce roar that shook the void they are within for a moment, it scared Izuku for a bit and yet he somehow feels safe like he already knows that roar.

The emerald dragon looks down at Izuku making eye contact with him, then he felt something deep within his soul like he already knows this dragon throughout his entire life since the day he was born even though this is the first time Izuku is meeting this dragon.

"I… I know you." Izuku said as he starts flying to approach the dragon.

The emerald dragon let out a soft growl as it also approaches the half-dragon boy. Coming closer and closer to each other until they finally meet in the middle.

"Yes, I can feel it." Izuku reached out his hand to the dragon as it does the same with its claws.

"You're…" Izuku and the emerald dragon's claw made contact onto each other.

"Me." Izuku realized fully on who this dragon is as the emerald dragon himself suddenly changed into that of his half-dragon and half-human form with the original himself being in his normal former human form.

"My inner dragon." Izuku said, his dragon-self nodded at him and move himself slightly to show Izuku there are others here too. Eight of them, but their figures are shadows and kind of hard to tell, but they all have the same glowing golden eyes.

Dragon Izuku moves away, becoming a fully grown dragon again flying high along with those eight people on its back and charge right at Izuku.

(Reality)

Izuku's eyes return to normal as he gasps like he hasn't taken a single breath of air in hours and jumps back about ten feet from Hitoshi.

"I'm… I'm back." Izuku was surprised that he can think clearly again, and he can move his body too.

"What's this? Midoriya suddenly stop attacking, it would seem his fully back in control of himself again!" Present Mic gasped and the crowd goes wild even though they have no idea on what the Hell was going on with Izuku.

"That's the way to do it!" Tenya smiled.

"Whoa, I was about to freak out!" Ochaco smiled, glad to see that Izuku is alright.

"Ribbit, ribbit. He really scared me for a minute there." Tsuyu was relieved to see Izuku back to normal.

"Whew, that just about killed me." Mashirao felt his heart just skipped a beat.

"Me too." Kyoka nodded.

"Look at that, Deku was able to break free on his own." Lucoa was impressed.

"That means we don't have to worry about him spilling blood." Tohru sighed in relief, Inko was more relief to hear that.

"No, impossible!" Hitoshi knew that Izuku was still under his control despite his arm and tail fighting, he shouldn't have been able to break free on his own.

"You're not supposed to fight back. What did you do?" Hitoshi demanded.

Izuku quickly cover his mouth as he looks over back Hitoshi.

"(I'm not really sure how I was able to do that, but it feels like my inner dragon was able to help me break free from the mind-control.)" Izuku thought believed.

"(But then, people I didn't know came into my mind, and for a second, it was clear. Could it be-)" Izuku thought remembered what All Might him about One for All for the first time after the sludge villain incident.

(Flashback)

"One for All. A sacred torch that's been passed on from person to person." Toshinori explained to the past Izuku about the mighty power he wields.

(Flashback End)

"(Those people… Could they have been the past users of One for All? And they were with my inner dragon, is that even possible?)" Izuku thought wondered, feeling like there are a million questions.

"How'd you do that?" Hitoshi asked again.

"(Later, I don't have time to figure things out right now. I have to focus.)" Izuku thought reminded himself that he has a fight to win.

"(He won't answer. Did he figure it out?)" Hitoshi thought wondered, starting to feel nervous here.

"(No. He's known. That monkey must have told him.)" Hitoshi thought realized it was his former "teammate" who gave him the information.

"(I have to get him to talk again.)" Hitoshi thought gritted his teeth in frustration.

"Come on, say something." Hitoshi said.

"Like what?" Izuku asked back while walking up to him, and he's not stopping again for he isn't being affected by the Brainwashing Quirk again.

"(What the fuck?!)" Hitoshi thought screamed, shock to see that his Quirk isn't working on him again.

"I didn't know you had so much power to have your arm and tail move, and even broke free. I'm kind of jealous of you." Hitoshi taunted a little more, with a little truth in it.

"I know what that jealousy feels like. I've been there." Izuku admitted.

"Thanks to the way my Quirk works, I've always been at a big disadvantage. But someone as blessed as you wouldn't understand that." Hitoshi said.

"I get it, even though you're right. I have been blessed." Izuku said, recalling all the people who have supported him to get this far to become a hero.

"You're lucky enough to have a heroic Quirk! It'll be easy for you to reach your goal!" Hitoshi yelled a bit louder.

"I've been blessed by others. That's why I'm here!" Izuku shouted with a dragon roar as he grabs onto Hitoshi's shoulder and start pushing him back.

"Damn it, motherfucker!" Hitoshi threw a punch, the hardest he could muster, but it barely did anything to Izuku as he glares at him.

Hitoshi was shocked to see that he isn't fazed by it and tries to punch him again and again, but nothing is working on Izuku.

"I'll do it for them!" Izuku said.

"(He's pushing me out!)" Hitoshi thought turned to see Izuku pushing him toward the edge of the ring.

Hitoshi kept on pushing him some more only to he lifted by Izuku with one arm and threw him right out ring and lands hard on the grassy field.

"Shinso is out of bounds! Midoriya advances to the next match!" Midnight announced.

The crowd cheers loudly for Izuku having to win his match in the weirdest way possible, but it was still a good match to behold when they saw him breaking out of Hitoshi's control.

(Three Years Ago)

Nabooh City Middle School, Hitoshi's former school before applying for UA High and here is having a talk with his friends about his Quirk.

"Whoa! Your Quirk is Brainwashing? That's so cool!" One male student amazed.

"Seriously? I can't think of anyone who's had that power!" Another male student stated.

"I'm so jealous, Shinso." One chubby female student admitted.

"Imagine all the cool stuff you could do controlling people." The first male student said.

"Yeah, you can do any bad things you want." The second male student pointed out with steam puffing out of his nose.

"And no one would ever know it was you. Just promise you won't make us your slaves, okay?" The chubby female student blushed a bit.

"Everyone always says that." Hitoshi chuckled as he's use to this.

"Of course, I'd probably think anyone with my power would it for evil too. "Sounds criminal, Shinso. It's the perfect power for a villain to have." I'm used to people looking at me like I'm the bad guy."

Deep down in Hitoshi's heart, he really hates being called a villain like that when these people don't know about how he wants to be a hero.

"But you know what… I'm not." Hitoshi finally spoke up.

(Present)

Hitoshi slowly open his eyes seeing his first sight to be the blue sly and some clouds, realizing that he is laying on the grass and right outside the ring, clutching his fists in frustration that he lost.

"And with that expertly performed push, we have our first victor of the finals! Class 1-A's Izuku Midoriya!" Present Mic announced excitedly.

"Ugh, that was so nerve-wracking!" Ochaoc sighed hard.

"Turning the tables at the last moment—a classic Midoriya maneuver!" Tenya impressed.

"That was a really hard throw. Right, Bakugo?" Denki asked.

"Shut your damn face, Sparky." Katsuki said while glaring at Deku.

"(That jerkwad. He's really going for it, definitely aiming for the top. And that purple-haired guy fell for his trap!)" Katsuki thought believed that Hitoshi was burned by the fiery determination of Deku.

"(It's almost like his Dragon Quirk adapted to Shinso's Quirk and became immune to it, protecting him from being controlled like that again. This kid is really something else.)" Aizawa thought was surprised to see that Izuku can now resist mind-control.

"Yeah! This match was wild and bizarre even though it was short, I don't think this is something we expected to see. They both fought bravely. Let's show them some love, everyone!" Present Mic grinned, wondering what else could happen in this tournament.

"Yeah! I knew he would win!" Tohru smirked.

"Papa was so awesome!" Kanna smiled proudly at her dad while Inko sighed in relief almost like she forgot how to hard.

Izuku remember the words from Shinso said before pushing him out.

"Someone as blessed as you wouldn't understand that. It'll be easy for you to reach your goal!"

Izuku decided to ask him a question, hoping to understand him more and for his reason to wanting to be a hero so much.

"Why do you wanna be a hero? What's driving you?" Izuku asked.

Hitoshi grunts, wondering why this guy is even asking him that now when he's clearly the winner here, but then he remembers what he said to his former classmates back in middle school.

"I'll be a hero."

"You can't help the things your heart longs for." Hitoshi answered and walks away as Izuku gasp a little.

"(I felt the same way. Before I inherited One for All and became a dragon, I was just like him.)" Izuku thought realized they have more in common with each other than he thought.

"(But… nothing I say is going to make him feel better.)" Izuku thought felt sad, knowing there is probably nothing he could do to cheer him up.

Hitoshi make his way into the exit tunnel, decided to might as well watch the rest of the tournament to see how things will go from here even though he really wanted to do more.

"You were awesome out there, Shinso!" One male student of Class 1-C complimented.

Hearing that caught Hitoshi off guard and look up to see his classmates looking down at him with smiles for him.

"We're proud a' you!" One female classmate said waving her hand at him.

"You didn't tell us you were that good!" One male classmate with red hair and tan skin surprised.

"Yeah, you're the star of our program!" One black hair male classmate believed.

"I can't believe you put up such a great fight against the dude who was in first place earlier!" One blue green hair male classmate smiled.

Hitoshi was shocked to hear that his classmates are really happy for him to have come this far in the festival, they don't even care that he lost in the first round.

"Listen to them!" One brown hair male classmate pointed at some of the Pro Heroes talking about Hitoshi right now.

"With a Quirk like that, it would be very simple to capture dangerous villains. Wish I had it." One green lizardman hero with a skull mask impressed.

"I can't believe they stuck him in General Studies. Those idiots." Ms. Joke wondered what UA was thinking.

"Well, there are a ton of applicants each year. Guess sometimes people slip through the cracks." One hero with a black helmet and red lens pointed out.

"If only he had more combat experience." One hero with a blue robot head said.

"Yeah, he would've dominated. What a waste." Another hero with a matching helmet but green believed.

"Shinso, you hear that? It's great, they think you're incredible!" The brown hair classmate smiled.

Now this was something Hitoshi was not expecting to see, people really seeing him as hero material even if his Quirk may seem like a villain thing, even the pro heroes think he can be a great hero too. He can feel his emotions swelling up inside almost like he's about to cry as a cherry blossom petal flew down past him.

"Depending on the results, they might transfer people into the Hero Course. Remember that." Hitoshi informed Izuku.

"Even if it didn't work out this time, I'm not giving up. I'll get into the hero track, get certified, and then I'll become a better pro than any of you." Hitoshi determined.

"You got it." Izuku nodded.

"(He really is immune to my Quirk.)" Hitoshi thought figured.

"You know, usually people tense up whenever they talk to me. If you're not on guard, someone's going to defeat you. So be careful. You better not lose and make me look bad." Hitoshi advised with a grin.

"I won't!" Izuku promised.

KO a new chapter is done and hope you all enjoy it!

That first round was crazy that Izuku's inner dragon had to fight Hitoshi and would've hurt him worse if Izuku hadn't been able to connect with his inner dragon, and even became immune to the brainwashing Quirk which seems like a bonus. And Hitoshi even got recognize as a hero in the makings too, so good day for everyone!
