Precious Moments

Themyscira Shore
Diana Prince-Kent slowly walked along the shore as she cradled her 6 months old baby girl, Astrea Kyra Kent. A breeze caressed her warm skin, cooling the prickle of moisture rising on her flesh when her thoughts drifted to the here and now.
She looked down smiling as she serenaded her, enjoying the closeness and the quiet. Her heart was bursting with love for her daughter.
"My beautiful baby." Diana kissed her little hand gently.
As much as she enjoyed the promise of a new day, they didn't want this moment of peace with her daughter to end. She knew babyhood and childhood were fleeting. These moments wouldn't last forever, no matter how much she wished they would, so she had to live in every moment while she still could.
There was no way to describe the happiness Diana felt as she looked at her daughter. She couldn't imagine life without her now. She imagined the life her daughter would have. Who she would grow to be, what dreams she would chase, and what struggles she would overcome. She shuddered to think of her baby girl getting hurt in any way. As a mother she would do anything to protect her from all heartache, but she knew in her own way that her daughter would push through it all and come out stronger.
"So precious and sweet. Mommy loves you so much," she whispered.
"Diana?"
She turned to see her mother, Queen Hippolyta, and her amazon sisters Dessa and Irina.
"Hello Mother, Dessa, Irina," Diana smiled.
"My little star child," Hippolyta whispered caressing Astrea's check with her finger. "Diana, are you sure you don't want me to take her to the temple?"
Diana laughed softly. "Mother, you will have plenty of time later with your granddaughter to smother and spoil all you want."
Hippolyta looked at her and sighed dramatically. "Oh fine."
"I love you, Mother," she smiled innocently.
Hippolyta smirked and shook her head slightly. She couldn't believe the child she had prayed for and was blessed with, has become a mother with her own precious blessing. She was so proud of Diana.
"I love you, too, my dear daughter." She places a gentle kiss to Diana's forehead. "Well we shall be on our way back to the temples. I will be seeing Kal-El in the morning."
Diana nodded.
"Your blanket and Princess Astrea's bouncer is all set up, Diana."
The bouncer was specially crafted by Kal. Lightweight with a black frame and a fabric seat in soft snuggly cotton and mesh.
"Thank you, Dessa, Irina."
As Hippolyta, Dessa and Irina were walking back to the temples, Diana walked a few more feet along the shore, continuing to hum softly.
"Κάθε μέρα νιώθω τόσο ευλογημένη που σε κοιτάζω Γιατί όταν ανοίγεις τα μάτια σου, νιώθω ζωντανός," she sung.
Just then, Diana heard a clicking sound and looked up to the skies and smiled.
With his camera, Kal-El immediately captured Diana's beautiful smile.
He flew down to her. "Hi, Beautiful."
"Hello, Beloved. You brought your camera?"
"I have to capture as many moments as I can." He looked down to his daughter and gently kissed her forehead . "Hey, Princess..." he whispered.
Astrea squirmed a bit, yawning. When she opened her eyes and focused, she smiled and squirmed getting more excited making soft cooing sounds.
"Da!"
"Oh, she's definitely happy to see you!"
Kal laughed. "I know the feeling." He caressed Diana's cheek. "Having both of you makes me immensely grateful and happy." Leaning over a bit he captured Diana's lips in a passionate kiss.
Diana moaned in his mouth feeling a tingle run down her spine.
"Mmhh...what a kiss."
"More of that later tonight," he smirked wiggling his eye brows.
Diana laughed. "You are such a goof."
Kal and Diana walked back to the blanket.
"Go ahead and take a swim. I got Princess." Kal gently too Astrea into his arms.
"Ok. Thank you, Love. I'll be right back," Diana smiled and kissed him softly.
Kal sat down and placed Astrea in her bouncer.
"Can you see mommy?"
Astrea happily kicked her feet, giggling. "Ma! Ma!"
Diana slowly walked towards the water, unwrapping her dress and let it fall to the ground.
Kal watched her in awe, completely taken aback. He focused on the lines and curves of her. The obvious ones, yeah, but also the little details. Of course, he has seen her naked plenty of times. But every time was like the first. The way she held herself, the way she walked, so enticing, so breathtaking.
Diana dove into the water. Then all the sound of the waves, birds, and air all cut off underwater, now the hiss and tumble of the water itself sounded against her ears. She took deep, slow, long kicks, going down amid all the life and color that was underwater, in the life zone of the surf where water and air met and mingled.
Fish darted, plants waved in the wild motions of the water, she glanced up to see a wave break on the surface. Swimming back up to the surface, she went farther out.
She took a deep breath when she got to the surface, and then lay back, floating, relaxing, letting herself breathe. She now stayed on the surface, bobbing gently up and down with the waves. The water cradled her, cool and weighty. So calming.
Kal gazed adoringly at his daughter's peaceful face as she examined a seashell. He couldn't believe she was his. She was beautiful; her button nose, round face, the soft tussles of raven hair on her head, and inherited smile, so much like her mother. Though, Diana would say she takes after him with her eyes and dimples. He just couldn't grasp how he could be any part of something so…perfect.
Kal felt his breath catch in his throat when she looked up at him.
"Da!"
"Hey there, Princess."
His voice was so soft and shook just slightly. Astrea giggled and kicked more.
"Da! Da!"
"Full of energy," He chuckled. "Just don't start teleporting. No hide and-"
His words were cut short as her tiny hand reached out in an effort to grasp his own. Her little fist gripped tightly around his index finger. Warmth and affection washed over him and Kal felt his eyes begin to tear up. His daughter's innocent blue eyes blinked up at him.
"Da! Da!"
He silently vowed that she would never feel any of the loneliness he'd experience himself as a kid. He'd make sure she knew everyday how much he loved and cherished her.
His baby girl. His Princess. His Astrea.
Kal closed his eyes for a split second to hear the soft sound of the waves coming into tide.
"Ma!"
Upon opening his eyes, elation soared through his body as he takes in the gorgeous sight of his wife emerging from the ocean. Long raven hair cascading down her slender back that smooths out into a sensuous curve of hips, glistening in the setting sun.
He had never felt such a pure sensation of love before, a feeling so intense and powerful. He was speechless, to say the least. His chest was tight, his heart felt heavy, his stomach felt caught in knots and he somehow felt both lightheaded and dumbstruck at the same time. It was like he was meeting her for the first time again, a chance encounter between two fated souls. Merely standing in his presence was all it took for him to fall for her all over again.
Diana picked up her dress, putting it back on. The view was everything and more as the sun's gaze reflected off from the ocean. He had to capture this moment.
"Wait, Di!" he said aloud.
She frowned a bit and titled her head confused.
"Stay right there," he told her as he picked up his camera.
"Kal, wha-"
"Smile for me."
Diana shook her head slightly and smiled.
She was more beautiful than the sun, moon, and the all stars. The most beautiful view he had ever saw. She and their daughter is everything...his universe.
Kal kept taking pictures of Diana as she was walking up to them and sat down in front of Astrea.
"Ma! Ma!" Astrea said excitedly grabbing onto Diana's finger as Diana kissed her cheek.
While Astrea was distracted again playing with the seashells, Diana turned her attention to Kal.
"What's on your mind, Beloved?"
"You and our daughter of course."
He wrapped his arms around her and pulled her closer, placing a warm kiss on her neck.
She smirked and adjusted herself to straddle him, her hands slowly rubbed up and down his chest.
"You are so gorgeous," he breathed with love and tenderness. His soft lips parted, wide eyes becoming half-lidded.
Diana blushed. "And you are so handsome." She cupped his face with both hands. "My Spaceman."
"My Goddess..."
Hands that felt as though they'd been carved to belong solely to her roamed her body, caressing every soft curve, nook and cranny of sun kissed skin. Diana placed a single chaste kiss on his proud jaw, relishing the way his skin felt against her lips.
No sooner did her lips make contact did he run his warm fingertips up her spinal column, pausing only at the base of her neck for a single moment before reaching up to take a hold of lose raven locks.
"Mmhh...Mr. Kent..." she moaned.
"Mrs. Kent..."
Their lips merely millimeters apart, panting.
Diana's heart fluttered, with her husband's unabashedly lustful advance. To have him so entranced, so wanting. She sunk more into his arms, rolling into him every time he instinctively pressed close.
"I love being in your arms," she hummed.
"To have you in my arms, I'll keep saying it every millisecond of the day if I have to, I'm utterly grateful. I think back on everything we've gone through to get to where we are now."
"From the moment we met, I knew you were the man I would give my heart to. The man...the one person I could put all my trust and faith in. To be so open and vulnerable with. I didn't expect it all to come true, many years ago, when I dreamed of this, or we even had those talks after battles."
"We thought that this couldn't be for us."
"But all along, we just didn't see it right in front of us the whole time, every time we look into each other's eyes. It's all right there. It's always been there. It will always be right here."
A proud smile played on Kal's features as he covered her lips with his own. Sighing lovingly against his lips, feeling utter bliss, Diana reached up and interlocked her fingertips at the back of his neck.
"Mama! Dada!"
Diana and Kal laughed against each other's lips.
"Come here, little Love."
Before Diana could take her out her bouncer, Astrea teleported in between them. She giggled and smiled up at her parents.
"She is . . . so perfect," Kal said.
"She is."
Diana's smile lingered as she watched great tears drip off Kal's face.
"Darling?"
"I'm sorry, Di. I just-"
Kal then noticed tears running down Diana's cheek.
They both gently wiped each other's tears.
"Tears of joy for our baby girl, Beloved."
Diana held her daughter close to her, her face against Astrea's; smiling along with her. Smiles that were so lovely that it took Kal's breath away, ones that was only expressed for him. Kal knew that he had a loving family that he was damn lucky to have.
"She is our joy," he said as he kissed the top of Astrea's head.
Looking up, to meet his wife's alluring eyes, unspoken words streamed between them. They leaned in a bit capturing each other's lips.
This was right.
This was perfect...just for them.
Their gift. Their blessing.
They both sighed in bliss, even as their lips parted from the chaste kiss.
"I love you." he said quietly.
Diana's smile widened as she stroked his face. "I love you, too," she replied.
Diana and Kal knew that family was the most important, and they would cherish it always and forever. They had each other and their daughter. That was all that mattered.

'Cause when you open your eyes, I feel alive"
