Such is Life

Saturday Morning - Kent Residence: Kal and Diana's bedroom

Diana peeked from out the bathroom seeing her one year old daughter, Astrea, laying on the bed playing with her modified toddler touch tablet.

"Astrea, Sweetheart, let Daddy help put on your shoes," Diana said as she was putting her hair in a ponytail.

"Mama, Dada no cothes. Taptop."

Diana frowned. "He is still on his laptop?"

Astrea nodded. "And mad. Dada say…" Astrea took a deep breath and let out a dramatic sigh mocking her father. "Sit! Like dat, Mama."

Diana frowned again and walked over to her sitting next to her. "Sit?" she questioned.

"Bad word, Mama."

"Huh? Oh! Shi-…." Diana stopped herself and stood up picking Astrea up. "Come now, Little Love. Let's go see why Daddy said the bad word."

"Dada no mad."

"I know, Sweetheart. Mommy doesn't want Daddy mad either." Diana kissed her forehead.

Astrea laid her head on Diana's shoulder as Diana floated downstairs.

"Kal? Beloved?"

"Dada?"

"Love?" Diana leaned over the couch and touched his shoulder.

Kal looked at the time on his laptop. "Shit."

"Sit," Astrea repeated.

Diana looked down and raised her brow at Astrea. Astrea gave her mother a sheepish grin and laid her head back down on her shoulder.

"I'm sorry, Di," Kal said looking up at her. "Princess."

"It okay, Dada."

"We're going to go in a few. The market opening still isn't until another hour."

"Darling, what's wrong?"

"I have to get this write up sent off. It's been on my mind for far too long."

"Ok…hold on." Diana walked over to put Astrea down on the floor of her play area. "Sweetheart, Mommy and Daddy have to talk. Play with your tablet or watch cartoons."

"K!"

Diana smiled and kissed her forehead.

"What is it?" she asked walking over to Kal sitting next to him.

Kal sighed. "Morris Spaulding wants to to do more experiments with highly poisonous animals to create medicines. The board is interested too and rushing this. Though, I'm just not sure with the long term effects. Cure one thing but down the line if used too much create another and maybe even bigger medical problem. We have to make sure the solutions are just right. Diana, with every one of my dad's experiments, he made sure to be cautious. Any experiment he wasn't sure of, he had to argue his colleagues down no matter How they took it at the end. Dealing with all of this scientific stuff, I understand just how dangerous it all is. It's walking a tight rope."

Diana took his laptop and started typing.

"Darling, I told you the story of Asclepius, the God of Medicine. Asclepius was a highly-regarded healer with exceptional skills. He was taught by centaur Chiron, the art of healing, the effective use of drugs, incantations and aphrodisiacs as aids to healing. He was given Gorgon blood by Athena. It's said the blood from the left side of a Gorgon was supposed to kill a mortal man, while the blood from a Gorgon's right side was believed to bring a dead person back to life. Therefore, a bottle of such blood was a powerful remedy in the hands of Asclepius, who used to go from town to town and heal people from pain and diseases. Asclepius was reputed to have preformed many miraculous cures, including the bringing back to life of many dead people. Reviving the dead people and making them immortal was a practice that outraged Hades, the god of the Underworld, who thought that the dead souls rightfully belonged to him. This practice also worried Zeus because Asclepius, in his way, was disturbing the normality of things and Nature. It is not normal for people not to die and live forever. Imagine the problems that something like that would bring in the future. That is why Zeus, at the instigation of Hades, decided to punish Aslcepius for the abnormalities he caused. One day, he struck Asclepius down with a thunderbolt and gave him a tragic end. This punishment meant that a mortal man can reach only one certain limit in the natural order of things and it is forbidden to him to exceed this limit. With this action, Zeus also wanted to make the rest of the people understand that there is a bridgeless chasm between mortals and the gods. However, Zeus was fair enough to recognize the great service that Asclepius had offered to humanity and decided to turn him into a constellation to live forever in the sky."

"Wow…"

"The moral of the story is that while yes, there has been break throughs with mortal science and with your help and guidance, it can advance beyond anything ever known. However, there are cautions, there are limits that must be made aware of. Darling, you are doing a fine job. I know it's stressful sometimes but you've done so much. I am so proud of you. Continue to follow your instincts."

Diana gave him back his laptop. Kal read over Diana's proposal to the board and put his laptop down on the coffee table taken aback.

"Diana…" Kal grinned and grabbed her pulling her into his lap making her squeal and kissed her passionately. "You're amazing. Damn, you're amazing."

"That kiss was amazing," Diana smirked. "I take it you agree with my proposal?"

He captured her lips again. Diana giggled and cupped his face deepening their kiss.

"Mama, Dada, kiss kiss!"

"Princess, your mother is brilliant! Let's add lawyer or debater to your very long resume. She deserves all the kiss kisses."

Diana laughed. "I'm just supporting my husband."

"That's what keeps me going. These amazing life changes are because of you, Diana."

"Kal…" she blushed.

"It's true," he kissed the tip of her nose. "You ready, Di?"

"Yes, Beloved."

"Alright. Let me help Princess with her shoes then give me just a minute and I'll be ready."

Diana smiled and nodded, standing up.

Kal walked over to Astrea. "Come here, Princess."

Astrea raised her arms. "Swoosh! Swoosh!"

"Up! Up!" Kal picked her up and twirled her around in the air making her laugh.

"Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh, Dada!"

Diana couldn't stop smiling watching her husband and daughter. Her heart fluttered.

Kal held Astrea tightly and kissed her forehead.

"Alright, Princess, let's put on your shoes!

"Sandies!"

Kal helped her put them on and she pulled the velcro strap.

"Not too tight, right?" Kal asked.

Astrea shook her head.

"Ok! Princess is all ready. Now it's Daddy's turn. Count down to 10 with Mommy!"

Astrea sat with Diana on the couch.

"Dada, zoom zoom!"

"Yep!"

Kal quickly flew up to the bedroom.

Astrea laughed. "Ten!"

"Nine!" Diana said.

"Eight!"

"Seven!"

"Six!"

"Five!"

"Four!"

"Thr-!"

Kal came back down fully dressed and ready to go.

Astrea laughed. "Dada zoom fast!"

"With 3 seconds to spare."

Diana grabbed Astrea's baby bag and her tablet.

"Mama, we go swoosh!"

"Oh…sweetheart… not today."

Diana grabbed her carrying her on her hip as they walked out to the family SUV.

"No, Mama! Fy!"

"I'm sorry, baby, not today."

"Fy! Fy!" Astrea pouted.

"Princess, I promise we can go flying afterwards, but we are going to the new market to buy lots of food," Kal said opening the SUV door.

Astrea frowned. "No."

"Come now, Sweetheart, please…"

"Mama…" Astrea's tinny bottom lip started to tremble and tears welling up in her eyes. "Fy…no car!" She pouted more.

"Little Love…" Diana kissed her forehead. "Please? Where we are going, we will get lots of goodies to bring home. Daddy could handle everything but we don't want him carrying it all. To get there and back we have to drive."

"Swirly port!"

Diana couldn't help but smile. "I know the portal is better too but Daddy will still have to carry everything and we will leave so fast we can't see other wonderful things around. Daddy will play all your favorite songs."

"Baby shark!"

"Okay… baby shark it is!"

"Yay!!" Astrea finally smiled and hugged Diana.

Diana sat Astrea in her car seat and buckled her up.

"Okay, sweetheart. This is going to be fun!" Diana leaned in and kissed her cheek.

Kal opened Diana's door for her.

"Thank you, Love."

Kal smiled and quickly went over to the driver's side, getting in.

"Ok! All ready to go?"

"Yes, Love!"

"Princess?"

Astrea, looked up and slightly nodded.

"Promise, you're gonna love going to the new market."

"K. Play baby shark, Dada."

Kal smiled and nodded. He started the SUV and turned on the radio.

"Play baby shark," Diana said.

Playing BABY SHARK

As the song started to play, Astrea lit up. She was humming and trying to sing the words as she played with her tablet.

"She really has your stubbornness."

"Darling, she's our little hummingbird. She loves flying. Being in a car makes her feel trapped like being in a cage. We both know how that feels."

"Yeah. But I want her to have experiences. To see everything from every level. Baby girl is right though because traffic is so aggravating."

Diana laughed softly.

Along the drive, Kal and Diana saw the other new developments around.

"This will all be so nice once it's completely built. New opportunities, more children around. By the way, I was thinking maybe we should enroll Astrea in daycare. She is so good with children at the park and she has a handle on her powers."

"Yeah, we can do that! There's a few around close by the house. We can go check them out. See which Princess feels more comfortable going to."

"I'm excited for her!"

Kal smiled. "As long as both my girls are happy."

"Agin! Agin!"

"Ok… but that's the 15th time we've played it."

"Baby shark! Sing it too, Dada!"

"Astrea…"

"Oh, Darling, please." Diana placed her hand on Kal's though slowly running her hand up and over. "It's the only way to keep her calm and we're almost there."

"Fine, fine.. but I'm not singing."

"Please…"

"Diana, really?"

"Sing with your daughter, Daddy Shark. Later, you can take a deep dive with Mommy Shark…" Diana smirked.

Kal raised his eye brows. "Diana, the way you are looking at me right now makes me want to turn around and get you back home."

She laughed. "Beloved…" Diana said seductively and rubbed him over his jeans.

Kal swallowed hard. "Diana…"

"Deep dive and Mommy Shark will sing a private song for Daddy Shark later tonight."

"Hey, Princess what's the words? Doo doo doo"

"Doo doo doo!" Astrea laughed and sung along with Kal.

Let's go hunt, doo doo doo doo doo doo

Let's go hunt, doo doo doo doo doo doo

Let's go hunt!

"YAY! Dada sing song!" Astrea clapped.

Kal laughed. "Seeing both of you smile means the world to me."

"There's so many people out today! It's wonderful! You see all the people Astrea?"

"Fun too, Mama?"

"Yes, Little Love, with friends and family."

"Sing song too?"

"Yes. Some sing songs, dance, and play instruments. They may do small plays even."

Astrea gasped. "Bloons, Mama, Dada! Big bloons!"

"Oh wow! This opening is quite grand."

"Where should we park?"

"Anywhere is fine, Love."

"Alright. I'll just park midways. With this crowd, we're lucky to get even this spot. We can walk or….fly a bit," Kal looked in the mirror and winked at Astrea.

"Fy!"

Kal got out first and went over to the passenger side to open the door for Diana.

"Thank you, Love."

Kal then opened the backseat door.

"Come on, little hummingbird. No more cage," Diana joked as she took Astrea out of her car seat.

Kal closed the door and kissed Astrea's forehead. "I'm sorry, Princess."

"It okay, Dada!" Astrea reached for him and once in his arms she hugged him as tight as she could with her tiny arms around his neck.

"Aww!" Diana gushed. "My loves!"

Astrea climbed up to sit on Kal's shoulders. Kal took Diana's hand as they walked to the store entrance.

"Oh, my…!" Diana gasped.

"We are going to be here all day. It's so much! We'll just go aisle by aisle," Kal said getting a cart.

Diana glanced around. "A few stares," she whispered.

"And mumbles…phone cameras…not sure if to approach." Kal looked at her with a smile and kissed her temple. "Let's just do our thing."

"Dada, ice ceam!"

"We'll get that last. Don't want it to melt."

"K! Berries, apples, gapes, bananas, oranges, pears…"

Kal chuckled. "Okay, Princess. We'll get everything you want!"

As Kal was teaching Astrea how to pick out the perfectly ripe fruits and vegetables, Diana walked over to the bakery.

"Goodness! It all smells so delightful!" Diana said to herself.

"Hello! Yes, everything was handmade and baked this mor-" the baker paused surprised. "Oh my God! You're Wonder Woman!" She said excitedly.

Diana smiled. "Yes, but you can call me Diana." She looked at her name tag. "Natalie. What a beautiful name."

"Thank you! Oh gosh…" Natalie squealed. "But…Oh..no, no, no! That would be-"

"Please. My husband and I are just customers."

"Oh wow! Superman is here!"

Diana smiled proudly. "Yes! One second." Diana turned and quickly went to Kal. "Darling, the nice woman over at the bakery would love to meet you."

Kal nodded. "Di, you're already making new friends?"

She giggled. "Well we are known to the world and aren't wearing glasses anymore not to be recognized."

"Right, right," he smirked. "Get all the fruits and veggies you want, Princess?"

"Yes! Now chips!"

Kal laughed. "Bakery first."

Diana and Kal walked over back to the bakery.

"Natalie?"

She looked up beaming with stars in her eyes.

"My husband, Clark and our daughter, Astrea!"

"Oh my God!" She squealed. "Superman and Wonder Woman right here! I can't believe it! And…" she took a paused being utterly mesmerized by Astrea's adorableness. "She's absolutely precious! She the perfect mixture of the both of you!"

"Thank you!" Kal and Diana said in unison.

"Dada, cookies! Cupcakes! Donuts!"

"Oh, what a little doll!" Natalie gushed. "We do have free samples of everything. For our grand opening, everything is a special sale discount. Though, for you two, everything is free!"

"Oh…oh, no, no Natalie, we-"

"We'll be paying for everything," Clark said.

"But?"

"We will take the free samples of everything. We'd like a fresh loaf of sourdough, Asiago, French, country white and multigrain."

"Alright! Coming right up!" Natalie quickly went to get everything packaged.

"Mama, Dada make acados and shimp at home."

"Hmm? Shrimp spring salad for today, Love?

"Yeah, something quick and cool and Astrea wanted avocados"

"Acados!" Astrea cheered.

"Here you go, Supe-…I mean Mr. Kent," Natalie said as she handed him the loaves of bread.

Clark smiled and nodded. "Thank you very much, Natalie."

"Oh, no, Thank you all for making my day!"

"Say bye bye to Natalie, Sweetheart," Diana told Astrea.

Astrea waved. "Bye, Natlie! Bye!"

"Aww! She's the cutest! Please, come back anytime!"

"Of course we will!" Diana smiled.

As they walked away, Astrea's eyes went wide seeing more of the cakes, donuts, cookies and even more pastries.

"Mama, sweets! Coco!"

"I see, Little Love!"

Astrea giggled and teleported over to the cupcakes.

"Cupcakes!"

"Oh, Darling, I think we may need 2 baskets. Astrea's going to put everything in here!" Diana laughed.

"Ha! Yeah! We are going to have way more sweets and snacks than out daily meals."

"She loves her father's cooking so I'm sure she'll pick out certain things she wants you to cook."

"That's goes for you, too, Di."

"Well of course! Being spoiled by my husband's cooking…" Diana looked up at him with a seductive smile. "It's quite a turn on."

Clark looked at her with a smirk. "Di…you want to start tempting me?" He looked behind her and nodded. "I'm going to be taking a few bites of that peach of wonder."

"Don't forget the whipped cream."

"Definitely won't forget that," he winked and leaned over giving her a peck.

"Mama! I done now!" Astrea grinned.

Diana and Kal's eyes went wide seeing how she almost filled the basket.

"Astrea…sweetheart. We can't buy the whole bakery section," Diana said.

Kal laughed and quickly putting most of it back keeping a split chocolate and vanilla cupcakes and variety sorted cookies.

"How about just this, Princess? We get just this for now then we can always come back okay?"

"K!"

Kal smiled and held out his arms. Astrea flew into her father's arms. "That's my girl!" Kal kissed the crown of her head. "Let's get the rest of what we need. Then as promise. We'll go flying."

"Yay!"

Astrea teleported back up to sit on Kal's shoulders as he pushed the cart.

"Cheese, Dada! Astrea pointed. "Lots lots cheese!"

"Yep! We need cheeses for pasta, macaroni, nachos and tacos!"

"Tacos!"

"Now let's get to pultry and fish."

"Dada, fish sticks and fies! Chicken nuggets! Ooh, shimpies, Dada!"

Kal laughed. "Princess will be choosing our lunches and dinners. Did you want anything in particular, Di?"

"No, Beloved. You know whatever you cook is always delightful."

"Okay…we'll It's gonna take me a minute. So go ahead and get the other snacks with Mommy."

"K!"

Astrea teleported off Kal's shoulders standing in the cart.

"Chips! Chips!"

"Oh, alright! Off to the chip aisle."

"Yo! You're Superman! Aw man! Anything you-"

Clark shook his head. "No need for any specialties, son."

"Oh…ok, Sir. You sure?"

Clark smiled and nodded slightly. "My family and I are just customers like everyone else."

"Yes, Sir!"

With Diana and Astrea

Astrea stopped in front of a section with at least 30 different brands and flavors of chips.

"Mama, look!" Astrea pointed and teleported to the chips. She picked up the mega sized bag of cheddar ruffles. "I like these!"

Diana giggled. "I know, Sweetheart. That bag is larger than you."

"Big bag! Lots chips!"

"Well…50% of it is still air. But it's enough for you, my little one. Go ahead and pick what you want."

"Yay!"

"Mommy will be right over here." Diana pointed at the boxes of crackers and pastas.

"K!"

Astrea flew up getting another mega sized back of Cheetos.

"Hey! The flying baby!"

Astrea looked down to see a boy a couple of years older than her. She frowned.

The boy started to climb the shelf to reach the chips he wanted.

"What's your name?" she asked.

"Windell," he said sternly.

"Widell." Astrea noticed the rack starting to shake. "No climb. Go down."

He frowned. "Don't tell me what to do."

As he was reaching his foot slipped and he was about to fall backwards.

Astrea quickly grabbed him by his shirt and set him to the ground.

"Thanks…"

Astrea grinned and nodded.

"What's your name?"

"Atree."

"Atree? Funny name. How old are you?"

Astrea held up 1 finger.

"1? You're 1? Haha! You really are a baby and that's why you are so tiny." Windell laughed. "I'm 9."

"Windell! What did I tell you?!"

"It's not fair!" Windell pouted and stomped his foot.

"It's okay. No sad. No cry," Astrea said trying to comfort Windell.

Windell's mother frowned. "You are too young to be walking around alone. What a shame how irresponsible parents are."

Astrea titled her head and flew up to be eye level with her. She gasped and grabbed Windell holding him close to her.

"You're…?!"

"Yeah, Mom! Her parents are Superman and Wonder Woman! Her name is Atree."

"Uh huh.. Well go away now. You've done enough."

"Mom, she's my friend now!"

"No! Come along now!"

"I don't want to!"

"Windell! I said let's go! You will not defy me because of this…this devil child!"

"Excuse me! What did you just call my child?!" Diana said walking up to them.

Diana put the boxes of crackers, pastas and rices she picked up in the cart and Astrea flew into her arms.

"Mama, I got chips. Widell want chips. He climb but fall. I pick him up. Widell mama say no and not nice!" Astrea explained.

"Okay…okay, sweetheart." Diana kissed her forehead. "My daughter only tried to help your son. I see no problem with that!" she said to the woman.

"My son knows better. I said no the first time. However I see you people still think you are privileged to have your children going around freely causing trouble."

Diana was taken aback. She had to keep herself calm.

"As I said, my daughter only tried to help your son. If you said no the first time, he wouldn't have been on this aisle alone in the first place. My daughter was here as I told her to be. So I suggest you rethink who the irresponsible parent is."

The woman glared. "How dare you?!"

"How dare you be rude to a year old baby. Doesn't matter who her parents are, being mean and rude to a child unprovoked is unacceptable. She is my child and I know my child! She did nothing but try to help I will not argue over nonsense. And for your information, she's Hades' great great niece!" Diana set Astrea to stand in the cart. "Say bye to Windell, Astrea. We need to get back to your father."

"Bye, Widell," Astrea waved.

Windell waved then looked up at his mother. "Not fair."

"You will see one day. Life's not fair. People like them only cause trouble."

Windell yanked away from her. "No. Superman and Wonder Woman are the nice guys, Mom! Astrea was nice and was going to be my new friend! You are so mean!"

Diana met back with Kal still picking out the poultry.

"Clark?"

"Di? Hey, what the hell happened?!" He picked up Astrea and kissed her cheek then walked over to Diana cupping her cheek. "Di, calm down. I can hear your heart beating fast. I only keyed in on when I heard your voice elevating a bit."

"Dada, it's mean lady! Widell amos fall. I pick him up. Mean lady say no chips, no nice and no fin."

Kal looked up at Diana for her to explain.

She sighed. "While I was getting crackers and a few thing from another aisle just right around the corner, Astrea was picking out chips. Apparently a little started climbing the shelf and almost fell. Astrea caught him. His mother came and started berating our daughter. She called her a devil child."

"What?!"

Diana placed her hand on his chest to stop him from walking away to go find the woman.

"No, Kal. Let's just finish our shopping so we can go home."

"Dada, why mean lady?"

Seeing her adorable little face and eyes filled with confusion and sadness and her little lip trembling holding back her tears, broke Kal and Diana's hearts.

"Princess…" Kal kissed her cheek again. "I'm so proud of you, okay? You did exactly what you were suppose to do."

"Some people don't understand, Sweetie. But it's okay," Diana said. "Don't you cry, my Little Love."

Astrea nodded and reached for Diana.

"My baby…" Diana held her in her arms tightly.

"Mr. Sup…I mean… uh…Mr. Clark, everything is all packed up and ready!"

"Thanks, Howard," Clark smiled noticing Howard couldn't stop staring at Diana in awe. "Diana, this is Howard Cooper, he attends Metropolis University studying for Architectural Engineering."

"That's very nice!" she smiled. "Very intelligent young man."

Howard's face instantly started heating. "Thank you, Wonder Woman," he said bashfully.

"Please, call me Diana."

"Right…right," he nodded. "Yes, Mrs. Diana…and thank you!"

"Astrea, say hello to Howard," Diana said.

Astrea raised her head up a bit and waved. "Hi, Howd."

Howard smiled. "She looks like both of you! Amazing! It's really awesome to finally meet you both. You've been an inspiration to me and a lot of other people I know. Thank you so much."

Diana smiled. "It has been quite an honor for us to do our jobs. You and others have been just as much inspirations to us."

Howard blushed more.

"Keep up the good work, Howard," Clark said.

"Yes, of course, Sir!"

Clark nodded slightly and pushed the cart.

"So we have all our fresh meats and pultry, fruits and veggies, sweets, chips, crackers, breads…"

"We are still missing sauces and cooking oils," Diana said.

"Ice ceam!" Astrea pointed.

"That's last, Princess. Don't want it to melt." Clark looked at Diana and smirked. "But we can get some honey," he leaned over whispering in her ear.

Diana raised her brow. "Kal…what are you thinking?"

"Honey…buns."

Diana gasped. "Kal! Stop it!"

"What? Oh, come on, Di!" He kissed her cheek. "I want those sticky buns."

Diana gasped again and felt her whole body react. She glared him as he started laughing knowing what he had caused her to react.

"Princess, tell your Mother to give Daddy a kiss."

Astrea giggled.

"Oh no, you-"

"Mama, kiss kiss Dada!" Astrea giggled pushing Diana cheek.

"Oh the both of you!"

Diana leaned over and kissed Clark softly.

"Yay!" Astrea cheered and clapped. "Kiss! Kiss!" She giggled.

Clark smiled proudly. "Princess is happy when Mommy is happy. When Mommy is happy, Daddy is happy that both his girls are. Those beautiful smiles are all I want to see."

"Oh, Kal…" Diana smirked. "Maybe Astrea can stay with my Mother next weekend for us to have time alone."

"Sounds like a plan." Clark wiggled his eye brows.

"Uh huh…so make sure we have enough honey and whipped cream."

"I need to get you back home now really."

"Oh, after dinner, the flight and Astrea is asleep, I think we should go out ourselves in the backyard."

Clark thought for a minute than have a sly grin. "We haven't been in the backyard yet. I'm sure the furniture is sturdy."

"Only way to find out is to test it, Love."

"Superman! Wonder Woman! May we have your autograph!"

A group of kids ran up to them.

"Oh my…" Diana gasped.

"Please!" They said in unison.

"Well of course!" Diana smiled.

"And pictures?"

"Sure, kiddo!"

"I want one with Superbaby!"

Soon a crowd was forming.

"This was expected but not…" Clark whispered.

"At least we have majority of what we needed."

For next 45 minutes, selfies, group photos and autographs. Even Astrea had a turn to attempt to squiggle her name.

"Thank you, Superman! Thank you, Wonder Woman! Super baby is so awesome!"

"She's adorable!"

Astrea looked around at everyone crowding around her and her parents. She started to become uncomfortable and aggravated. Diana noticed her holding on tighter to her shirt.

"Little Love, it's okay," Diana smiled reassuringly.

"Hungy, Mama."

Diana nodded.

A few minutes more when everyone got their pictures and autographs, the crowd started to disperse.

Clark sighed. "Well that was a rush."

"It was. It was even a rush for Astrea."

"We're almost done, Princess."

"K!"

Astrea teleported back on his shoulders.

They walked down a few more aisles getting cases of water, bottles of wine, sauces and oils.

"Okey doke, Princess, we've got everything as far as dinner meals so now…"

"ICE CEAM!" Astrea cheered.

"Yep!"

"You know, Kal, Astrea and I won't be sharing so you need to pick out some for yourself," Diana teased.

"Ha! I'm good. I mean Princess will share a bit anyway because she loves her old man." He smirked. "If I want some from you I know how to get you to share."

"Oh, really? How?"

Clark laughed. "I'm not telling."

Diana raised her brow. "So you are tempting me to use the lasso?"

"I want you to."

Both Diana's eye brows raised. "Oh…" she giggled. "Mr. Kent…"

"We'll take turns and then I'll have my sweet sweet Amazonian Goddess flavor dessert."

Diana blushed and leaned up to kiss his cheek. "I can't wait for tonight."

"Mama!" Astrea giggled. "Big bowl coco!"

Diana laughed. "That is a very big tub of chocolate ice cream. We will get the smaller ones for more variety ok?"

"K!"

Diana picked 20 different flavors and handed them to Astrea to neatly put in the cart.

"Wow, did good putting them in the cart, Princess."

"Poozle!"

"Haha! Yeah a puzzle!"

"All done!"

"Alright! Off to the check out!"

"Lots, Dada!"

"Yeah, we did get a lot!" He turned to Diana. "You sure we got everything?"

"Darling, you are the chef so that's a quest for you to answer."

Clark nodded slightly. "Let's get out of here."

Going up to the check out, they were all but 2 self check out.

"Okay, Princess, so this is the bar to scan and this is the scanner." He pointed. "The light is red but once scanned successfully it's green."

"K!"

"So let's scan all the box stuff first."

Diana handed Astrea the box of rice.

BOOP!

Astrea jumped slightly at the loud sound then giggled.

"I did!" Astrea looked up at Clark.

Clark smiled proudly. "Yep! Let's see how fast we can get everything scanned."

Astrea giggled every time she heard the "boop" sound.

Finishing scanning, sacking and putting all their groceries back in the cart, Astrea couldn't stop grinning. She watched Clark put his card in the machine.

"Everything is good to go!"

Astrea clapped happily. "All done!" She teleported back on top of Clark's shoulders.

Diana was so proud of her husband and daughter. These moments she cherished the most.

"Oh, Excuse me! Excuse me, Superman and Wonder Woman?"

Clark and Diana turned.

"Hi! I'm Jasper Holland, Manager," he smiled.

"Hello," Clark and Diana said in unison and shook his hand.

"Please, call us Clark and Diana."

"And Atree!" Astrea grinned.

Diana smiled. "Our daughter, Astrea."

"She's so adorable! I just wanted to say it's an honor to meet you both. To have you here at our grand opening, really making the employees and other customers' day! It was quite a huge rush and apologies if you know, it was overwhelming. We didn't know there would be a crowd."

"Oh no, it's all okay," Diana assured.

"It was quite a rush but it means a lot to us that everyone was happy and making their day directly or indirectly. Our day was just going out with our little girl. But it's all in fun."

"Also, apologies for the disgruntled costumer with her son. An employee saw the whole thing."

"We understand. We've dealt with that sort of thing for years," Clark said.

"But all in all, we are glad the young boy was safe and we will be back of course!" Diana assured.

"Thank you! Thank you! Have a good evening, Mr. and Mrs. Kent and oh so precious baby Kent!"

They smiled and waved.

"Bye!" Astrea waved.

"Okay, Princess, let's get all this in the car. I promise, we'll get home as fast as we can."

"No zoom zoom fast. See out widow."

Kal was surprised. "You want to see the sights again?"

Astrea nodded.

Kal smiled. "That's my girl!"

After putting all the bags in the truck, Kal took the cart to one of the cart corrals while Diana buckled up Astrea in her car seat.

Coming back to the truck, Kal opened the passenger door for Diana.

"Thank you, Love."

Kal closed the door and went to the driver's side getting in.

"Time to get home, kiddo!"

"Go fy at home?" Astrea asked.

"Yep! We're going to all the food away, I'll start dinner then we can go flying."

"Yay!"

Driving back home, Astrea looked out the window grinning mesmerized by all the people walking around, on their bikes or skateboards. From couples to families, and groups of friends.

Kal grabbed Diana's hand intertwining their fingers and brought her hand up kissing the back of it.

"I love you."

"I love you, too." She held his hand tighter.

"Mama, Dada, bloons fy!"

Diana looked out the window and gasped. "Oh goodness!"

It was a massive balloon release.

"We go net time?"

"Of course! Whatever you want to do!"

"Yay!"

30 minutes later…

Kal pulled up in their driveway opening the garage.

"Home!"

"Yeah, we're home! We'll put all this away then we'll go flying."

"Yay! Fy! Fy!"

Diana got Astrea out while Kal started getting the groceries.

"Kal, please don't try to get them all at once."

"Di, I have super strength. I can get them all."

"Darling, no." Diana held Astrea on her hip. "Just take your time."

"I mean yeah, I'm Astrea's old man. But I'm not actually an old man."

She giggled. "Oh, you know I know for sure you're not an old man." She smirked and but her lips.

Kal winked. "I'll still give you that reminder tonight. But fine, I'll just use super speed," he smirked. "We have like 20 pints of ice cream we can't have melting."

Diana laughed softly and opened the door.

"Okay, Sweetheart, do you want to keep on your sandles or footies?"

"Footies!"

"You know she's like her mother, not liking shoes. I'm surprised she wants the footies," Kal said putting down the first load of bags.

"Well her mother is from an island where shoes weren't particularly required. But don't forget her father is from a farm."

"Heh. Yeah, we got our little nature girl."

"Indeed she is!" Diana kissed Astrea's cheek. "We be right back, Daddy."

"Right back!"

Using super speed, Kal got the rest of the bags and put the ice cream in the freezer and the rest of the groceries where needed be.

Meanwhile upstairs…

"Was going shopping to get all your favorite foods fun, Sweetheart?"

"Yeah!" Astrea cheered. "Lots food, Mama! I eat all!"

Diana laughed. "Daddy's cooking is so good!"

"Yeah!"

Diana picked up her pink footies and sat on the bed with Astrea in her lap.

"My baby's adorable little feet." Diana tickled her feet making her laugh.

"Mama!" Astrea laughed.

"Those little toes!"

Astrea kept laughing. "Mama, tickle!"

Diana laughed and suddenly tears welled up in her eyes.

Astrea looked up then frowned. "Mama?"

Diana smiled as tears streamed down her cheek. She shook her head.

"Mama?" She reached up and wiped Diana's face. "Mama sad? No sad, Mama."

"I'm not, sweet baby. I was thinking about you grandmother."

"Nany Lyta?"

"Yes. I remember moments with her as I have with you. I'm so happy."

"Happy cry, Mama?"

"Yes, my baby! Happy tears!"

Astrea grinned and hugged Diana wrapping her tiny arms around her neck as much as she could.

Diana held her daughter as tight as she could.

"I love you, Astrea, my Little love, so much. My sweet sweet baby!"

"Loove you, Mama!"

More tears ran down Diana's face hugging her a little longer.

"Okay, Little Love, let's put on your footies and go back downstairs to Daddy."

"K! Go fy!"

Diana put Astrea on her footies and carried her back downstairs to the kitchen.

"Dada, footies!"

Kal smiled looking up but his smile immediately dropped to a worried look seeing Diana's eyes red from crying.

"Di, what's wrong?"

"Mama happy cry! Mama miss Nany Lyta."

"I was just having a moment thinking about Mother."

Kal reached and cupped Diana's cheek. "Do you need to call her? Where is she? Still in Colorado right?"

"Yes, she is. I don't want to bother her or anything…it's just having moments with Little Love, I thought back on when I was her age."

"Di," Kal smiled and leaned over kissing her forehead. "Every moment with both of you is everything."

"Darling, go ahead and go take Astrea flying."

"I though we all were going?"

"Father, daughter time, Love. I'll get my shower out of the way and I'll cut the vegetables for the salad and prep anything else needed."

"You don't have to, Di."

"Kal, I've watched you plenty of times. Although I'm not as good as you are, I know my way around now and I'm just cutting veggies."

"Alright, alright." He smirked. "Just don't use the sword."

"Oh haha! Very funnny, Kal-El."

Kal grinned and kissed her softly then her cheek.

"Come on, Princess! Let's go flying!"

"Yay! Fy! Fy! Swoosh! Swoosh!" Laughing as Kal held her up in the air.

Walking to the front door, Kal turned and kissed Diana softly again.

"You sure you don't want to come fly with us, Di."

"Darling, I'm sure. We will have family flying time another day."

Astrea leaned over grabbing Diana's cheeks and kissing Diana all over her face.

"Be right back, Mama!"

"Okay, my baby! Make sure you don't fly so fast so Daddy can keep up."

"Haha! Oh, still got jokes, Di?" He raised his brow then leaned over and kissed her neck. "Can't wait to get to you in the backyard."

Diana smirked.

"Fy, Dada!"

"Ready, Princess!"

Kal gave Diana another quick kiss. "Right back."

Diana smiled and waved watching as her husband and daughter flew off to the skies.

When she could no longer see them, she closed the door. Leaning against the door she sighed lovingly and looked over the front foyer. Tears formed again and she smiled proudly.

"We have our home…our family."

Meanwhile with Kal and Astrea…

"Higher, Dada! Fy higher!"

"Wait, Princess! Astrea! Astr-" Kal was quite shocked and impressed. "Your mother was right. You're fast. But wait! Wai-"

Kal flew faster to catch up with her.

"Astrea, not that high!"

Kal heard her breathing change.

"Oh no! Astrea!"

He could see her slowly start to fall back.

"Astrea!"

He caught her and cradled her in his arms.

"Daddy…" she cried holding on to his shirt.

"You're okay. But Astrea, I told you not to go that high. It's not time just yet."

"Why not up there?" She pointed wanting to go outer space.

"We have to condition your breathing. The sudden atmosphere change is a lot so you have to gradually get used to it." Kal looked down. "But this is damn impressive, to even by up this high."

"Mama go up there?"

"Yeah but took her some time too. Took us both time developing our powers. Don't worry, Princess." He wiped her stray tear. "We'll get there. We'll just keep practicing and before you know it, we'll all be flying in space and having picnics on the moon."

Astrea gasped excited. "Pinic!"

Kal kissed her forehead. "I'm so proud of you, Princess. I want you to know that. I want to to always remember that. It will be people like the mean lady-"

Astrea shook her head slowly. "No mean lady."

"It will be, Princess but you have to be strong. I know you are. Especially with your mom, grandma and all the Amazon sisters, also grandma Lara."

"Nany Lara?"

"I know life would've been quite different and that's the most difficult thing about this. I mean I don't remember much of her. Just a few instances here and there but from what I do remember and reading my dad's journals, you have her spirit too." Kal kissed her forehead. "It never thought I'd actually become a dad. But because of your mother…" Clark smiled. "Your mother is my miracle and together we have our miracle which is you, Princess." Kal hugged her. "I love you, Astrea."

"Loove you, Dada!" She grinned and hugged him holding on to his shirt. She then looked up at him. "Fy but not too high."

Kal nodded. "Understood, Princess. Want to still race your old man?"

Astrea giggled and nodded her head.

"Ready… set…"

"Go!" Astrea flew off.

Kal laughed as he flew off to catch up with her.

"Come on, Daddy!" Astrea laughed.

"Right here, Hummingbird."

Astrea looked down see Kal flying backwards with his hands behind his head. She laughed and slowly turned backwards mocking her father.

Kal then dove downward.

Astrea followed him.

Kal then flew back up with Astrea following soon completely in sync with her fathers every move.

"Great job, Princess!"

"I did!" Astrea flew to Kal and hugged him. "Fy home now, Dada! Miss Mama."

"Yeah I'm missing your mother, too. Let's go!"

"Race, Daddy!" Astrea laughed as she already started to fly off again.

"Astrea! You didn't let me say go!" Kal laughed flying after her.

"Go! Go!" She laughed.

Kent Residence

"I'm sure they're on their way back." Diana peeked out the front window. "Actually, I see them right now."

Diana quickly opened the door and stepped out.

"Mama! Mama! Mama!" Astrea called happily.

"Hi, Little Love!"

"Mama!" Astrea rushed into her arms. "I beat Daddy!"

"You sure did!"

"Only by a nanosecond," Kal said as he closed and locked the door as they went into the house. He wrapped an arm around Diana and kissed her softly.

"You two had lots of fun I see."

"We go swoosh, swoosh, down, and swoosh agin, and circle twisty, Mama," she explained with hand motions.

"That's very exciting! And guess what?"

"What, Mama?"

Diana put the phone on speaker.

"Say hello to Nany Lyta."

Astrea gasped. "Nany Lyta! Nany Lyta!"

"Hello, my little shining star! Hello, Kal-El."

"Hey, Hippolyta."

"Nany Lyta, mean lady at the store."

"I know, your mother told me. If I was there I would've given her something to be-"

"Alright…alright, Mother. This sort of thing is exactly why you don't."

"I'm glad we have that understanding. My granddaughter should never be disrespected. That actually goes for all of you."

"Thanks for the look out, Hippolyta," Kal said.

"Of course, Kal-El. That's what mothers do for their children. Now I must go. I don't want to be late for the play. I will be arriving in Metropolis next week. I love you all."

"Okay, Mother, we love you, too."

"Bye, Nany Lyta! Loove you!"

"Aww! I can't wait to see you my little star. Bye Bye."

When the phone hung up, Diana gave Astrea her phone.

"Thank you, Love, for telling me to go ahead and call Mother. We had a very nice chat."

"No need to thank me, Di. I know how much you miss your mother. Now that she's here more often and as you said earlier, having Astrea. Even if it's just 2 minutes, I know how much that means."

Diana embraced him. "I know you miss your parents too, Love." Diana placed her hand over his heart. "They are right here with you, Beloved."

Kal smiled and nodded slightly, putting his hand over hers.

"Mama! I fall too."

"You fell?" Diana frowned.

"I fy fast. Too high. Daddy swoosh and catch," Astrea smiled.

Diana looked at Kal for him to explain more.

"She was flying fast and went up higher than expected. She wanted to go into space but she isn't ready yet. She got a little scared. But we had a little talk about it. I told her once she is ready we'll have a picnic on the moon."

"Pinic, Mama!"

"Well we will have to take you flying more often then so we can have our family picnic on the moon. We'll also be beating Daddy racing, right, Little Love?"

"Yeah!" Astrea cheered giggling.

"Hey!"

Diana laughed softly.

Astrea yawned and laid her head on Diana's shoulder.

"Ready to eat, Little Love?"

Astrea nodded and yawned again.

"Someone is getting sleepy. Had a full day. Let's get you a bath, eat and then off to bed. Darling, everything is ready for you to do the rest."

"Alright. On it! I'll make you and Princess' plate then I'll head up to get my shower."

Diana nodded and went upstairs with Astrea.

Upstairs: Master bathroom

"Okay, my baby. Let's get you a nice warm bath going."

Diana sat on the edge of the large jacuzzi tub with Astrea in her lap.

"Ooh! Bubbies!!!"

"Lots of bubbles for my bubbly baby!"

Diana placed Astrea in the warm water.

"Sing song, Mama."

"Okay. Which one?"

"Spish spash!"

"Okay…hmm…"Diana started humming to remember the tune and lyrics. "Ah… I love to splish, splash, splish, splash in the bath with you. I love to splish, splash, splish, splash in the bath with you."

"Spish! Spash! Spish! Spash!"

Back Downstairs

Kal couldn't stop smiling listening to his wife and daughter laughing and singing.

He was incredibly grateful for them both.

"…I'm gonna wash, wash, wash your face

And your cute little button nose." Diana tapped Astrea's nose."

Astrea giggled.

"I love to splish, splash, splish, splash in the bath with you. I love to splish, splash, splish, splash in the bath with you."

Diana poured water over Astrea's head rinsing the shampoo from her long curly hair.

"I'm gonna scrub-a-dub-dub your feet…"

Astrea held up her feet and wiggled her tiny toes.

"And your cute little twinkle toes."

Astrea splashed the water a few more time singing along with Diana

"I love to splish, splash, splish, splash in the bath with you."

"Spish! Spash!"

"I love to splish, splash, splish, splash in the bath with you!"

"Yay! Spish! Spash!"

"All clean, Little Love."

Astrea levitated out of the water for Diana to wrap a big soft towel around her.

Diana let the water out and took Astrea into the bedroom to completely dry her off.

She laughed. "You are such a tiny little ball of adorableness the towel always swallows you up!"

Astrea giggled putting the towel over her.

Diana gasped. "Oh no! Now where did my baby go?!"

Astrea giggled. "Here, mama!"

"Where?"

"Here!" Astrea jumped up.

"There's my baby!" Diana held out her arms.

Astrea jumped into her mothers arms. Diana hugged her tight.

"You two okay?"

Diana and Astrea looked up see Kal leaning against the side of the bedroom door.

"Of course, Beloved! Astrea wanted to play a little game of hide and seek with the towel."

"Ah! Well for my Hummingbird, lots of shrimp is ready for you and how about french fries?"

Astrea gasped excitedly. "Fench fies! Fench fies!"

"And Di the salad bowl is ready too."

"Okay, Love. Thank you."

"You eat, Daddy?"

"I have to get my shower first. But don't wait for me."

Kal walked over and bent down kissing their cheeks.

While Kal was on the shower, Diana got Astrea dressed in her bunny pajamas and brushed her hair.

"Mama, wait Daddy."

"Want to wait for him anyway?"

Astrea nodded.

"Okay. Darling, Astrea wants to wait for you," she said knowing he could hear her.

Kal smiled. "Alright, getting out now."

Kal turned the water off and opened the shower door. He quickly dried off and got dressed in sweats and tee.

"Ready, Princess!"

Astrea teleported to sit on Kal's shoulders.

"Shimp and Fies!"

Downstairs: Kitchen dining table

"With Mama, Daddy."

"You want to sit with mommy?"

"Yes."

"Okey doke."

Kal pulled out Diana's chair for her and as she sat down, Astrea teleported to sit in her lap.

"Right back with plates."

No more than 10 seconds, Kal had their plates on the table.

"Hehe! Daddy swoosh swoosh!" And wide eyed she grinned at her food. "Shimp!"

"Eat up, Princess!" Kal smiled proudly as he sat down.

"Darling, this is so refreshing!" Diana gushed.

"Di, you are the one that cut up everything. I just put it all in bowl with the vinaigrette and cooked the shrimp."

"And it's all delectable with my delectable husband's touch," she smirked.

"Di…"

"Oh and by the way, while driving home, I saw a C-A-N-D-Y store."

Kal quirked his brow. "Oh no, Di. Nope! I don't call her my hummingbird for nothing. Her speed already times a sugar rush?!"

"Oh, please, Love!"

"Di…"

She smirked. "Need I remind you, Mother will have Astrea next week so…"

Kal stared at her knowing he couldn't resist.

"Diana, it's so hard trying to say no to you. Why do you even ask?"

"I know and it's fun playing that little game of you trying to resist," Diana smiled seductively and winked.

"I think I hear the backyard furniture calling."

Diana laughed softly. "I hope the neighbors don't hear us."

"Hmm…only way to find out is to test."

"Oh, naughty naughty, Mr. Kent."

"All done!" Astrea announced grinning.

"Wow! Princess, plate completely clean. Want your juice?"

"Yes!"

"Swoosh, swoosh!" Kal joked as he quicky got her sippy cup from the fridge.

Astrea laughed. "Swoosh, swoosh!"

"Done, Di?"

"Yes, Darling. But wait til morning. I'll go put Astrea to bed."

"Yes ma'am," Kal smiled.

Astrea held out her arms for Kal to pick her up.

"Gonna give your old man the biggest good night hug, huh?" Kal picked her up and hugged her. "Night, Princess." He kissed her forehead.

"Night, Dada!" She kissed his cheek and hugged him again.

Astrea then teleported back into Diana's arms and yawned laying her head on her shoulder.

"I'll be right back, Love."

"I'll be out back."

Upstairs: Astrea's room

Diana tooled Astrea in giving her one of her favorite stuffed animals. She sat on the edge of of the bed and caressed Astrea's cheek.

"Good night, my baby."

Astrea yawned. "Night, Mama."

She reached for Diana to lean down to her. Diana smiled and leaned down hugging her once more and kissed her forehead.

Astrea closed her eyes and fell fast asleep. Diana watched her for a few more minutes, leaning over one more time to kiss her forehead again softly then eased up.

She quietly left out of Astrea's room, closing the door.

Going back downstairs she smelled apple cinnamon coming from the back patio.

Smiling she went out to see Kal using his heat vision for the incenses. The gentle breeze causing the aroma to spread. Diana was completely in awe with the large terracotta sectional sofa and two matching club chairs that were topped with thick, fade- and water-resistant cushions. The set was also complete with a slat-top coffee table. She also adored the soft blending of warm lighting into the hedges and other landscaping of the yard.

"Kal, this is so beautiful."

He smiled and took her hand.

"It is. I can't believe we hadn't had a chance to enjoy it."

"Well with being in the Fortress for about 6 months for Astrea and on the go afterwards we didn't have much time. Now that everything seems to be settling with our daily routines and all, we can enjoy things like this."

Kal sat down on the sofa with Diana straddling him. Kal cupped her cheek.

"Yeah, we're definitely going to enjoy this." He paused for a moment staring into her eyes. "You are so beautiful."

"Darling…" Diana blushed.

"Our baby girl had quite a roller coaster of the day."

"She did. She disapproved of the car ride at first, the rude woman and then bombarded by the crowd wanting pictures and autographs."

"Yeah, that was a bit too much and so fast."

"But her Daddy made her day better at every turn after."

"And her Mommy. We make one hell of a team, Di."

"We sure do!" Diana leaned forward kissing him softly. "Mmhmm…not bad for an old man," she teased.

"Hey…I'm not an old man."

Diana laughed softly. "No, you are just Astrea's…and eventually our other kids' old man."

Kal lit up. "More kids. Astrea's going to be the best big sister ever."

"I can see her being very over protective."

"Yeah! She's a fighter like her mom. But I hope she doesn't actually get into fights."

"Well our baby is the sweetest, social butterfly. But if she absolutely has to fight, it's for good reason," Diana shrugged. "We still have another year or so before deciding on a daycare and pre school. She'll be prepared for her schooling journey."

Kal smiled. "Diana, I can't express enough with words how proud I am to be your husband and Astrea's father. To have you, this Gorgeous goddess, that's been by my side for over 20 years building what we have and going through this amazing journey. All the crazy battles saving the world to now the battle of parenting. We are still Superman and Wonder Woman when needed but our main priority now is Mommy and Daddy."

"I love all of this, Kal. It's just so perfect to me and it feels so surreal. Looking at our daughter, that adorable little face…she is us. She's our gift for all those battles we fought through, the sacrifices. I'd do it all again for her."

"Me too…me too. Ah, by the way, while Astrea and I were flying, I listened in on the usual news. We of course was the top topic going to the market. It seems your altercation with the woman was recorded and released to the news."

"Oh Gods!" Diana gasped.

"Nothing to worry about, Di. It's gossip and all but most are on your side. Especially after seeing Astrea save the kid from falling."

"I still can't believe after all we've done, there are still those who are set to be against us."

"Yeah, I know. But as you've said, our work isn't done. I mean we accomplished so much and did overcome the biggest obstacle winning the final war but-"

"But it's just different. New obstacles have been set. There are copycats or villains in the making and mortal prejudices."

"We got this, Di. We will continue to work hard to protect everyone, our family and teach Astrea."

Diana nodded in agreement.

Kal started to slowly untie Diana's robe. "You know, there's no rush with having our second kid so we can enjoy all the practice."

"With how you are, we could end up with twins or quadruplets…Or have stair steps."

"Ha! Hmm…now that does seem quite possible. We are going to have a league of our own for sure," he said wiggling his eyes brows making Diana laugh. "Woah…" He looked down to see Diana completely naked. His hands drifted down her curvaceous sides to her hips and finally resting on her rear with a playful squeeze. "Damn."

Diana smirked. "Practice starts now, Mr. Kent."

"Yes ma'am, Mrs. Kent!"

Diana squealed and giggled as Kal pulled her impossibly closer and captured her lips in a passionate kiss.

The next morning…

Diana woke up in her bed to a small warmth curled against her silk nightie. Her eyes fluttered open and she looked down to see her daughter. She smiled and ran her fingers gently through her long wild curls.

Astrea moved a bit curling more into Diana and yawned.

"Mama…" she mumbled.

"Right here, Little Love."

Astrea started moving more and stretched opening her eyes. She smiled seeing Diana already awake.

"Soon light bright, Mama. Mornin'"

"Morning, my baby."

Astrea sat up and looked over Diana too see the other side empty.

"Dada?"

Diana sat up and turned to see the empty side as well.

"Daddy's probably getting breakfast ready. We should get ready to meet him downstairs."

"K!"

Diana got up and made up the bed with Astrea helping place the pillows. Diana got herself and Astrea all ready for the morning.

Astrea sighed at the feel of the warm towel as Diana wiped her face.

"All clean, Mama!"

"Yes." Diana kissed her cheek. "Lastly, is for mama to do your hair."

Astrea watched in the mirror as Diana braided her hair in two side pigtail braids.

"Pretty, Mama!"

Diana smiled. "You, my Darling are very pretty!"

There was then a loud noice of music starting to play.

Astrea gasped recognizing it.

"Baby Shark!"

"What is Daddy up to?" Diana picked her up. "Downstairs we go!"

Floating downstairs to the living room, Diana and Astrea gasped surprised.

"Ah! Baby shark!" Astrea clapped and laughed.

"Kal?!"

The entire living room was decorated in a baby shark theme.

"Good Morning, Mommy Shark and Baby Shark!" Kal said walking from the kitchen.

Diana and Astrea gasped again.

"DADDY SHARK!"

Kal was dressed in a Daddy Shark costume.

"Daddy!" Astrea happily teleported into his arms hugging him.

Kal kissed her forehead. "I got my hummingbird a costume too!"

"Yay!"

"Let's put this on right quick."

Kal quickly changed Astrea into her costume.

"Color book! Mama, color book!"

Diana was still at a lose of words but couldn't stop smiling and nodded.

"I got you lots of activities for the day! And how about baby shark shaped pancakes?"

"Oh!! YAY!!"

Kal's smiled proudly and kissed her cheek. "Go ahead and start on your coloring book while I'll get breakfast ready with Mommy."

"K!"

Kal walked over to Diana wrapping his arms around her.

"Surprise!" He laughed.

"Darling, I can't believe you did this!" Diana said wrapping her arms around him. "Why didn't you tell me?"

"Well I didn't think of it until after our shower last night and going to sleep. I was just thinking back on yesterday and Princess deserved something special. I mean she deserves something special everyday but-"

"I get what you are saying," Diana nodded.

"To see that smile on her face. That's all I want. Both of you happy makes my day. I'll do any and everything to make sure of it."

Diana looked around still in awe. "What stores are open at this time of the morning for this?"

"Super speed going all over the world basically to get the really exciting unique stuff," Kal winked. "Wait til she sees the big fluffy bean bag chair I got in Japan."

"Oh, by the Gods, Kal-El!" She hugged him tightly. "You are the greatest husband and father! Diana looked him up and down with a seductive smirk. "You know only you can make this costume sexy. I don't think the idea was to have Daddy Shark having all these muscles but it works for you and I'm really enjoying this right now."

"I promise I won't take it off until we have time to take a deep dive when Princess takes her mid-day nap."

Diana giggled. "I look forward to that!" She kissed him passionately.

Kal thought for a minute. "Actually, no need to wait. I mean just a little tease while Princess is still occupied with coloring."

"What do you have in mind?"

"We can have a little fun of our own in the kitchen, cooking breakfast. I picked up some arugula, figs, and truffles. We can start with the strawberries with whipped cream and chocolate or sautéed apples with cinnamon, whipped cream and granola."

"Hmm…it all sounds so good, Love. You just spoil us with so much. I love it!"

"It's my job." Kal lifted Diana up in his arms bridal style. "Princess, keep coloring and watching your cartoons. Mommy and Daddy will be in the kitchen for some time."

"K, Dada! I color all picures!"

"That's my girl!" Kal looked at Diana with a sly grin. "And now for you, Mrs. Kent."

Diana cupped his cheek and kissed him. "I love you so much, my sexy Daddy Shark!"

"I love you, too, Di, my Gorgeous Mommy Shark!" He said as he captured her lips in another soft kiss.
