It was a very warm and sunny morning in Bridgeton, Barbados and Max, wearing a red tank top, blue shorts and brown sandals, was out walking. He was on his own, but he didn't come to Barbados alone; he came with his dad Goofy, Sylvia Marpole, Goofy's fiancée and Max's future stepmother, and Hannah, their beautiful two-year-old daughter and Max's half-sister. They all came to Barbados for their Summer 2003 vacation. They all stayed in a hotel that was small but very lovely. Max had his own room, while Goofy shared a room with Sylvia and Hannah. They all liked their hotel rooms and they liked the hotel's large restaurant, the massive gym and the vast swimming pool and two large hot tubs. And even though they had only two full days of their two-week vacation in Barbados, they already liked it a lot.

It was the third day of their two-week vacation and Max was walking on his own in Bridgeton not because it was very early in the morning and it would get busy later in the day, but because he was feeling very sad and needed some alone time. He tried to make the most out of this vacation especially since Sylvia won it in a competition and he thought Barbados was a beautiful and awesome island and there were many activities he enjoyed doing that he could do over there and he enjoyed the delicious Barbadian food and he thought the Barbadian people were very friendly and useful, but he still struggled to enjoy the vacation. The reason he was struggling to enjoy it was because it had been a whole year since he broke up with his last girlfriend Mona and he still hadn't recovered from it.

Max met Mona during their sophomore year at Spoonerville College. At first, she became a huge fan of him when he became the first person to win the College X Games at Spoonerville College and not only beat the Gammas but prove that they were nothing but cheaters from the very beginning. Then when they met, they became very good friends and then they started to hang out with each other more often and enjoy their company so much that they decided to start a relationship. It was the first one at Spoonerville College that Max started a proper serious relationship. All those ladies who used to be in his college harem had either moved on to other colleges or had boyfriends of their own, but they remained very good friends with him and remained in contact with him. It wasn't long before Max and Mona started having sex with each other and they really enjoyed it. The more they had their special fun, the more they enjoyed it.

They enjoyed their relationship so much that Max even brought Mona over to his old house so she could meet his dad on Christmas 1999. It was a disaster at first, but it all got quickly resolved and all of them got on with each other much better. Mona even met Goofy's girlfriend Sylvia and she got on with her as much as she did with Goofy. Christmas 1999 turned out to be a great one for every one of them and on New Year's Eve 1999 they enjoyed being in Spoonerville Park with the people of Spoonerville counting down to the new year of 2000, which was also meant a new century and a new millennium.

Then, for their junior college year, Mona was recommended to move to the University of Spring Falls in Oregon, one of the country's best universities ever. She was recommended to go and study there because she was one of the very best students in medicine studies Spoonerville College ever had and the university needed her because they believed she could help them with a breakthrough in creating a medicine for an untreatable illness.

Max decided to move to Spring Falls with Mona for her sake. It was a very hard choice to make and it did mean that he would have to leave his dad and his best mates PJ and Bobby behind, but Mona was his girlfriend and he didn't want to break up with her so he moved to Spring Falls with her. But he knew Goofy would be okay because he had his girlfriend Sylvia, PJ had his beret girlfriend Lucy and Bobby was sort of getting back to his relationship with his ex-girlfriend Stacey.

Max was very worried at first that the University of Spring Falls wouldn't accept him because of his high school grades, but because he had good enough grades from Spoonerville College and he made and saved enough money that he earned from being a part timer cleaner at his first college's gym, the university managed to accept him.

So not only could Max and Mona continue to attend university together and continue the majors they were studying, but Max could take part in the College X Games over there and lead his team to many victories and he was just as popular over in the University of Spring Falls as he was at Spoonerville College. And Max and Mona continued to enjoy doing the activities at the University of Spring Falls as much as they enjoyed doing at Spoonerville College, including helping out at Thanksgiving and going on spring break trips. And it was the university they both graduated at.

During their amazing time at University of Spring Falls, Max and Mona had paying jobs. Max's job was an assistant for the water sports area at Time Land, a theme park near Lake Bubbles and one of the country's best theme parks of all time. He would make sure all the speedboats, the jet-skis, the water skis, the wakeboards and the water tubes were all ready for the day for the guests and sometimes he would take customers on the boats for them to do the water sports on the lake. He really loved his job. Mona's job was being a medicine assistant and helping the medicine staff and she loved it. And they moved into a small apartment together and they enjoyed living together. They took turns in cooking and cleaning and they enjoyed watching TV programmes and they enjoyed sleeping or having sex in bed.

It seemed at the time that Max and Mona had a very happy relationship. They enjoyed each other's company and they both supported each other in everything they did and they loved doing things together whenever they could, especially on all the wonderful dates and vacations they went on. As their relationship went on, Max was even considered proposing to Mona.

On the day of their third anniversary in 2002, Max bought an engagement ring. Then he went back to the apartment to get ready for his and Mona's third anniversary dinner. However, he was very shocked to see what happened he got back.

Max saw Mona in his apartment but what shocked him was that she wasn't alone; there was another guy with her. It was someone Max had never seen before. As if this alone wasn't already confusing enough, both Mona and this guy was completely naked and he wasn't wearing a condom on his penis and he had it all the way in Mona's vagina.

When Max confronted Mona about it, all she said was that he just wasn't good enough for her, despite he did his fair share of cooking and cleaning and other chores around the house they live in and he supported her as much as he could and he took her on the best dates and vacations he could afford to give her. She went on to say that there were a lot of guys out there who a million times better than him. This really upset Max so much that he just had to move the apartment and away from Mona. Since he left her, he had been living in a tiny apartment for nearly a whole year now and he had been all alone since then and wondering what he could have done to make his relationship with her any better, but he just couldn't.

Max was so hurt by what Mona did to him and what she said about him that he didn't feel like starting a new relationship with another lady at all because he just felt like history would only repeat itself and he would never ever have another lady who would want to spend the rest of her life with him. Even though he knew all the ladies at the theme park, whether they were employees or guests alike, found him attractive and flirted with him and kept asking him out on lots and lots of dates, he kept turning them down because he just couldn't risk doing what Mona did to him a second time. Both his friends and his family tried to talk to him and give him some encouragement to try finding another date, but he just couldn't listen to them. And he was very jealous that his friends were still in relationships and his dad was in a relationship with another lady and they had a daughter, though he tried to hide it.

Max was so unhappy while he walked through Bridgeton that he wasn't even looking where he was going. He didn't snap out of it until he bumped into someone and they both fell down.

"Oh, dear," Max said, as he got off the person, who was wearing a brown tube top, white shorts and brown flip-flops. "I'm so sorry." Then he held his hand out and the person took it.

"It's okay, Max. All is good."

"Thanks, Lisa." Then Max realized what he said and that the person just called him by his name. He looked at the person he bumped into as he helped her up. "Lisa?"
