The Wonders of Being A Wife and Mother

Kent Residence: 11 P.M.

Diana Kent wakes up to a soft small hand on her cheek, instantly knowing who is sitting next to her in the bed. The mattress is sunk down under the weight of her husband, their daughter sitting between them.

Astrea has always loved touching her mother's face or playing with her hair, which is how Diana instantly knew it was her little girl sitting next to her. That, and the happy babbles of 'mama' and 'mama wake' that ring in her ears.

She can't help the small smile that comes across her lips, eyes fluttering open to see the beautiful little girl she loves more than anyone, anything.

"Hi, little Love," she whispers, watching as Astrea's eyes light up at the sound of her voice. "What are you doing up so late?"

The next thing she knows, the toddler's head is buried in the crook of her neck, her little lips forming a smile against her mother's skin, her wild curls tickling Diana's chin.

"Mama! Mama wake, Daddy!" the young girl squeals against her skin, the high-pitched sound muffled by the shoulder her face is buried in.

Her little arms wrap around her mother's neck and shoulder, a small hug that Diana will always treasure.

"Happy Mama Day!" Astrea bellowed.

"Oh, my sweet baby!"

Diana feels tears spring to her eyes at the words, smiles up at her husband, Clark Kent, knowing he told their daughter to say those very words. He smiles back, knowing she's onto him. After all these years, it would be crazy to think she isn't. She keeps her eyes locked on his as her arms wrap around their 2 year old daughter, holding Astrea against her tightly.

It's her second Mother's day with her precious little girl, but the third one she's celebrating.

Last year, Diana had spent the whole day with her husband and daughter, not wanting to go out, not wanting to do anything special. She had just wanted her family there, and that's what she got, watching movies curled up in her husband's arms, their little girl sitting between them. It had been perfect, and she wanted nothing more than that today.

The one before that, Clark had spoiled her, telling her she was already a mom, even though she was only about halfway through her pregnancy, her four months pregnant belly in front of her. He had bought even more onesies for their unborn baby, a picture frame for her, telling her it was for the first picture of mommy and baby. Much to her surprise, that Sunday had also been the first time she felt her unborn child kick hard, hard enough for Clark to feel it, too, hard enough for the feeling to be distinct, unlike anything she'd ever felt before. She's pretty sure she spent a large bulk of that day crying of joy, thanks to her pregnancy hormones.

Now she lays in bed, happy, her mind still slightly clouded with the remaining fog of sleep, her little girl wrapped in her arms mumbling 'mama' into the crook of her neck, she felt herself on the verge of uncontrollable tears.

Astrea pulling away is what breaks Diana from her thoughts. She smiles as the little girl, on instinct, leans in to press a quick kiss to her cheek. Diana cherished all the love her baby gave her.

"Mama day. Mama coco," says Astrea looking over at her father, waiting for him to hand the still steaming cup to her mother.

Diana smiles as he hands it to her, takes it and takes a sip before setting it on the nightstand.

"So so…good! Thank you my Loves!"

Diana props herself up on her elbows, soon moving to sit, placing her pillow between her back and the headboard. She taps her thighs, and Astrea smiles before crawling into her lap, resting her head against her mother's chest, looking over at her father. She wraps her arms around her mother.

"Daddy didn't kiss kiss Mama yet!"

Diana playfully gasped. "Oh no, he sure didn't!" Diana pretended to pout. "And why is that?"

Clark laughed. "I was patiently waiting for my little firecracker to give me a chance to. She wants all her mom's attention first."

"Daddy, kiss Mama!"

"Don't have to tell me twice, Princess." Clark leaned in and captured his gorgeous wife's luscious lips.

"YAY!" Astrea cheered beaming at her parents.

Diana grinned at her husband. Clark kissed the top of his daughter's head.

"When our baby girl goes back to sleep, I'll be giving mommy more kisses….special kind of kisses," he smirked at Diana making her blush.

"That is precisely why I practically have a hard time wanting to get out of bed."

Clark wiggled his eye brows. "Don't worry. I'll give you a nice thorough massage too."

"Oh!" Diana giggled.

"Mama, see present now?"

"You got me something, Sweetheart?"

Astrea nodded. "Me and Daddy up when sun down to make it. Pretty, Mama!" Astrea floated up excitedly. "See, Mama!"

"Oh! She's so excited!"

"Finally finished and with what it is, it's the perfect time to."

Diana grinned. "Okay, Little Love, show me!"

"Yay!"

Clark got up and quickly got Diana's robe and slippers.

"Thank you, Love." She gave him a quick peck after putting it on. "Both of you are the sweetest."

"Hide eyes, Mama!" Astrea said covering her own eyes.

"Okay…okay…Mama's eyes are covered, Sweetheart." Diana smiled and covered her eyes.

Astrea laughed as Clark waved his hand in front of Diana's face. With no reaction, Clark gave Astrea an assuring nod and thumbs up.

Clark picked up Diana and began to float a few centimeters off the floor.

"This is so exciting!" Diana squealed.

They floated down the stairs to the backyard patio doors. Astrea eagerly opened the doors.

"Ah! So pretty, Daddy! The lights are fashy!"

"Yeah, it's perfect, Princess."

"Oh, you two! May I please uncover my eyes now?"

"Not yet, Di. Gotta be the perfect spot. Right here, Princess?"

Astrea looked up at the full moon and her gift for Diana was still perfectly covered with a tarp. She nodded with a grin.

Clark set Diana down gently.

"Alright, Butterfly, you can uncover your eyes."

Diana did so and was surprised by the tarp.

"I've been so busy with work, I really didn't take notice to the giant tarp in the middle of our backyard."

Clark chuckled. "No, Di, Hummingbird and I had this in the shed. Ready to see what our daughter created, Hon?"

"Yes, of course, Love!"

Clark and Astrea pulled the tarp off revealing a large crystal block.

Diana tilted her head. "Darlings?"

"Just keep looking," Clark grinned. "Our daughter is really honing in on her artistic skills from last year."

She was still confused but then noticed part of the block began to disappear and was revealing something within.

She gasped. "Oh, goodness!"

The form of Diana and Astrea sitting on top of a crescent moon with 2 stars within the crescent.

"Look, Mama! Big star for Mama and little star for Atree!"

"Oh…my…!"

"Nany Lyta say Mama is moon and Atree is star. The light…" she pointed up at the moon. "The moon and stars fun, Mama! I told Sene to shine bigger for you!"

Diana gasped and looked to Clark.

"I…Kal, our daughter…our daughter can…"

"Yeah…seems our daughter can communicate with all the Gods and Goddesses now. She has been made fully aware that she is connected to the moon and stars. When I was checking up on her a few nights ago, she was talking to someone outside her window."

"You saw Selene?"

Selene, the Titan goddess of the moon.

"The light disappeared when my presence was known but Astrea told me everything anyway. She's been getting godly visitors. They watch over her, help her with the magic stuff we aren't exactly keen on. At first, I wasn't too sure, kind of mad about it and wanted to tell you when I was aware of it but Princess explained to me what she wanted to do. How happy she was with learning from them especially with wanting to make you happy with magical gifts of art. Selene brought her the crystal. For the past week, when you fell asleep, Astrea and I would come out here and Diana…" Clark paused and smiled proudly at his daughter. "Diana, watching her use her powers, so happy, so free…our daughter is truly a magical miracle."

Tears ran down Diana's cheeks uncontrollably. "Come here, little Love!"

Astrea happily flew into her mother's arms. Diana kissed her all over her face.

"My precious, precious sweet talented baby! Mama loves you so much!"

"Love you, Mama! Daddy said it's Mama day evyday." Astrea nodded hugging her mother.

"So will it stay like this?"

"When sun up it is Daddy, Mama and me!" Astrea said proudly.

"Oh! Well I can't wait to see that transformation!"

"I did good, Mama?"

"Oh, yes, my little Love! You did a tremendous job! Mama is so, so very happy! Thank you!"

Astrea smiled then yawned laying her head on Diana's shoulder.

Diana ran her fingers gently through her daughter's hair.

"Sleep, my little Love."

Clark wrapped his arms around Diana from behind and buried his face with her hair breathing in deeply.

"Come, Beloved. Let's put our baby to bed. So we can have a little time."

"Course!" He said letting her go.

He watched her take a few steps forward then smirked reaching to give her read a light tap making her giggle.

As Diana was going up stairs, Clark closed and locked the patio door.

Astrea's room

Diana laid her down and gently placed the blanket over her. She then reached for one of her stuffed teddy bears placing it under Astrea's arm for her to cuddle.

"Night, Mama…" Astrea said yawning again. "Love you."

"Night, Sweetheart." Diana leaned down and kissed her cheek. "I love you, too, so much."

"Night, Hummingbird." Clark leaned down to kiss her forehead.

"Night, Daddy. Love you."

"Love you, too."

Clark and Diana watched their daughter for a moment. Diana then looked up at her husband. Clark held out his hand for her to take.

Diana slowly stood up and they quietly left out of their daughter's room, closing her door.

Going into their bedroom, as Clark closed the door, Diana immediately began her striptease. She untied her robe and let it fall to floor pooling at her feet. She then took off her nightgown dropping it to the floor as well. She turned to face her husband who was awestruck.

"Well, Mr. Kent?"

"Mrs. Kent, you are god damn gorgeous."

Clark quickly stripped himself of his own clothes, grabbed his wife and lifted her up. Diana immediately wrapped her arms around his neck and her legs around his waist.

They moaned into each other mouths, their tongues battle for dominance. They stop for a bit to get air back in their lungs then lock lips again as Clark sat on the bed. Clark and Diana looked at each with half closed eyes, with emotions running on an all time high.

Diana moaned lightly as Clark trailed his lips down her jawbone, gently moving kisses down to her collarbone and down between her breasts.

"Oh, Darling…you know what I love?"

"Me making love to you?"

Diana laughed softly. "Yes, most definitely that! But…I love how our daughter loves our love just as much as we do."

Clark looked up at her with a proud grin. "I'm so proud of her. We are going to be no good as she gets even older."

Diana laughed. "Oh, goodness, Kal, that's something I'm not ready for. I mean, she will always be our baby no matter how old she is but she's so little right now. This feeling of holding this tiny little ball of sunshine is indescribable!"

"Ha! I know!"

"I just want her to be free. Continue to live her truth and be happy. I know that she will have to experience difficulties and we can't shield her from everything, nor coddle her, but I want her to know that we will always be there for her to guide her and support her through any and every endeavor. You are sure you are okay with her communicating with the Gods and other deities on her own?"

Clark nodded. "I have faith that our daughter will be protected. Sure, she's only 2 but she's no ordinary 2 year old and that has to be kept in mind. As overprotective and everything as we want to be, our daughter is just too special and she needs to learn of her abilities and birthrights. She's my daughter but more importantly she is your daughter. So, I know how strong her heart and mind is and will continue to grow to be. Diana, you are the most incredibly magnificent woman I've ever known. The mother and wife that you are…I'm damn lucky to have you. I love you, Diana. Thank you for being in my life, for this life that we have together."

Tears flowed as Diana smiled. "Oh, Kal, the man that you are!" She kissed him passionately. "I love you!" She kissed him again. "I love you! I love you! I love you!"

"I love you, too, Di…so, so much!"

Clark pushed himself up on top of the bed and rolled over to switch the position. He stared down at Diana and watched her eyes roll back as he slid inside of her with one thrust. He could feel her body underneath him quiver as he moved in an agonizingly slow back and forth motion. They moaned in harmony.

Tilting her head back, an even loader moan flowed out of Diana's mouth. Clark's gaze was locked on to his gorgeous wife, taking in her euphoric expressions as he picked up his pace.

"Gods, Kal! You are so good to me!" She cried out with widen eyes.

Her vision gets blurry for a moment due to a great amount of ecstasy running through her body. Her eyes fluttering close.

Clark whispered her name while expelling inside her, bringing both of them to their rapture simultaneously.

He began to come to a stop but with one last thrust as Diana yelled out in pure satisfaction. Their legs entangled in each other's, staying in that embrace for a while. With their rhythmic panting colliding as one, Clark pressed his forehead on hers and cracked a lazy smile he watched her as she licked her lips and finally opened her eyes. He pecked her gently on the lips.

"Happy...Happy Mother's day, Di ..." Clark rasped, pulling out, and collapsed next to her, drawing his wife in a tight bear hug and kissed her forehead.

"Thank you, Husband. I love you," Diana said, then kissed him sweetly.

"I love you, too, Wifey." Clark said, smiling.

After regaining their breathes, both Clark and Diana turned their heads towards each other, basking in the afterglow of their love making.

"So will you feel like getting out of bed in a few hours for breakfast in the backyard?"

"We'll see in that time. You are such a sly Kryptonian wolf purposely tiring me out," she teased.

"I can't help it. I apologize in advance," Clark breathed, confident in his love-making abilities.

Diana giggled. "Honey, don't ever apologize for giving me such pleasure."

Looking deep into her eyes, Clark brushed a few strands of her raven hair away from her face.

They felt as time was standing still as they enjoyed their intimate embrace.

A few hours later into morning, Clark and Diana were already up and getting dressed after their pleasurable morning shower together.

They knew better than to stay in their naked state for too long, as their daughter would appear in an instant with her teleportation ability.

And not a second later, as the door to their bedroom swung open with a loud 'thud,' their tiny 2 year old teleported to the bed and screamed with youthful enthusiasm, "Mama!"

The loving couples' eyes locked, and they smiled at each other, awaiting the inevitable attack.

"Hi, my baby!" Diana greeted her energetic child.

"Hey, Princess!"

Astrea attacked her parents' faces with kisses and hugged them.

Astrea then placed both of her tiny hands on Diana's face, her forehead touched hers, and the little girl's deep topaz eyes stared at her with a serious expression.

"My Mama!"

"Yes, my little Love. I'm your Mama."

Astrea beamed in delight.

"Daddy! Help make Mama bakefast and go outside!" She enthusiastically said.

"Course, Princess! Let's get started! What are we making?"

"Coco cakes and omette!" she cheered.

Clark chuckled and grabbed his daughter holding her up in the air, making her laugh.

"That's right, Princess!"

"Hold on, you two. First, little Love, you have to get your morning wash up."

"Okay, Princess, I'll get stuff prepped waiting for you."

"K!"

Diana gave Clark a soft peck. "We will be down in a few minutes."

Clark gave her a slight nod. When she turned around going to the bathroom, Clark couldn't help himself giving her rear a tap.

"You just can't help yourself with that."

"Nope! Every time you walk away so sexy like that, I have to."

Diana laughed, "You are relentless!"

"I love you, too, Di!"

A few moments later, Diana had Astrea sitting on the sink counter, wiping her face with a warm towel.

Astrea grinned up at her mother.

"What it is, little Love?"

"Pretty Mama!"

"Aw! Thank you, Sweetheart! You are my pretty little Love."

Astrea nodded. "Daddy said, Mama is the most georgy in the universe!"

"He did? When did he tell you that?"

"Evey day! He tell at the store too!"

Diana laughed softly. "He did?!"

Astrea nodded and stood up on the counter. "He said he love Mama big big BIG lot!" Astrea stretched out her little arms as much as she could.

"Well Daddy is going to have to tell me more about the store later. But Astrea, I'm going to tell you that I love your father big big big lot, too! He's also the most handsome man in the universe."

Astrea giggled. "Atree love Mama and Daddy more big big big BIG lot!"

Diana embraced her daughter. "You are the sweetest baby! Let's not keep Daddy waiting any longer."

"K!"

Diana hummed as she gracefully floated downstairs to the kitchen with Astrea on her hip.

"Daddy!" Astrea teleported to him.

"Ready, Princess?"

"Yes! Coco chips!"

Diana leaned over the counter watching her husband and daughter having joyful time cooking breakfast together. Astrea watched her father intently as he turned the stove on specific temperatures, the measurements of the pancake mix, adding the morsels, timing of flipping the pancakes, perfectly crisp bacon, cutting the mushrooms, spinach and other vegetables for Diana's omelette, and lastly cutting fruit for their fruit bowls.

Clark stepped over to Diana feeding her a strawberry.

Diana moaned lowly licking her lips. "Strawberries, peaches and whipped cream…" she whispered.

"Planned already," Clark winked.

Finished with all the cooking and setting everything on plates and in bowls, Clark carried their food out to the table.

"Oh! Soon! Soon out!"

"The sun is shining very very bright already!"

"I believe it's a brighter day because of my wife and daughter."

Diana kissed his cheek. "So sweet and charming."

"Daddy, it's good!" Astrea gave him a thumbs up and stuffed her cute tiny face with more pancakes.

"I need you to still slow down a bit!" Clark laughed.

Astrea grinned grabbing her sippy cup. She then glanced at her sculpture and gasped.

"Mama! Daddy! It turn!" Astrea pointed.

"Oh by the Gods! Astrea! Sweetheart!" Diana gasped.

The sculpture changed into Astrea looking up at her loving parents as she stood between them and holding their hands. They were leaning over sharing a sweet kiss.

"Mama and Daddy, kiss kiss! Happy and love!"

Diana and Clark smiled at each other taking each others hand.

"I go pay now!"

"You sure you're done eating, Princess?" Clark asked.

Astrea nodded.

"Okay, one sec!" Clark swiftly got a warm clean cloth for Astrea. "Don't need syrup on your play sets."

Diana couldn't stop smiling yet again watching her husband cleaned Astrea's face and hands and off.

"Ok, Hummingbird, you are all cleaned up! Go play!"

Astrea jumped into her father's arms embracing him. Clark was taken aback a bit but immediately embraced her as tight as he could.

Astrea then zipped to Diana embracing her. "Happy Mama Day!" she said kissing Diana's cheek.

"Thank you, my sweet baby! Mama loves you so much!"

"Love you too, Mama!"

Astrea flew off to her enormous backyard playground.

Clark grinned at Diana and took her hand again.

"Come here…" he said pulling her.

Diana got up from her chair and sat on Clark's lap.

Clark wrapped his arms around her waist pulling her impossibly closer and kissed her neck.

Diana giggled. "Our daughter told me something earlier…"

"Oh? What's that?"

"She said that you said that I'm the most gorgeous woman in the universe and that you love me big big big lot." Diana laughed. "She held out her arms as wide as she could and said that you say that everyday. You even said it at the store?"

Clark laughed. "Our daughter is telling the absolute truth! Oh, and the store thing was a woman coming up to me trying to flirt. I acted oblivious to it though and of course reminded her that my sexy, gorgeous wife is Wonder Woman."

"Kal..." Diana blushed.

"I saw how Pa loved Ma and how unabashedly he showed that to everyone in Smallville. I witnessed a true partnership and now I have my own with you. Diana, my whole life I hid so much but once I met you and we became close, I was able to share so much. I didn't realize how much I had locked away until you. We've been through so much but we made it through it all together. Any and every thing that comes our way we will always face it together. You make me proud to be the man I am today. I am proud to let the whole damn galaxy know you are my wife, the mother of my child, and the light of my life."

With tears threatening to surface, Diana responded, "Kal, you've always had a way with words and the way you look at me…Gods, I've been crying so much lately but it's all been tears of such joy and happiness!"

"It's the truth, and I appreciate everything you do. I'm good with words but I'm better truly showing you just how I love you. And dammit, I love you big big big lots as our daughter said! Always will, Di. Always and forever."

Well, that did it. The dam broke. Every time Clark vocalized his sentiments to her. He brushed his thumbs up to her cheeks as he wiped away the tears.

"Kal... I love you... I love you, I love you, I love you soooo…. much," she uttered between sobs, but Clark shushed her to say nothing more.

He pulled her face closer to his and captured her lips in a passionate kiss.

Pulling away, Clark wiped more of Diana's tears. Diana looked over with a proud smile seeing Astrea playing with the playground puzzle.

"Happy Mother's Day, Diana."

Diana looked back at her husband, cupping his face with both hands and kissed him sweetly.

"Thank you, my Love. Thank you and our daughter for making not only this day but everyday the best they can be for me. You both are my heart and soul. A mother and wife couldn't asked for anything more."
