Lloyd, along with the others bolts up wide awake, seeing the shadowy figure hovering above Lloyd. "Whoa!" Lloyd is quick to roll to the side as the figure slams down the weapon.

Riyu roars as the Ninja pulls themselves out of the cots. "What's going on?" Nya asks.

"That prowler almost killed Lloyd!" Raya answers, pointing to the shadowy cloaked figure.

"I am detecting high levels of hostility!" Zane informs.

"Clearly he's asking for a butt kick!" Lilly said as she and Raya drop into defense stances as they stand next to each other.

"Yeah!" Raya smirks, then points at the figure. "You walked into the wrong room, pal!"

"Not smart!" Wyldfyre brought out her Heat powers in both hands, Riyu roars again as the Ninja all gather together.

Cole, Zane, Nya, William, Sora all activate their powers as they advance the intruder who backs away from them.

The shadowy figure looks around before Lloyd, Zane, Nya, and Wyldfyre send their powers on the intruder, but just as the four powers slam into the intruder, he leaps out of the way and the Ninja are all thrown backwards from when their powers slam into each other.

The figure looks around the room before running for a window.

"He's escaping!" Lilly cried, scrambling to her feet.

"After him!" Raya yells, moving forward but is stopped when Lloyd grabs her shoulder.

"Stay here! He's mine!" He ran after the shadowy figure.

Cole walked up to Lilly. "Nice alarm Lil." He smiled at her.

The teen smiled. "Thanks daddy."

Zane approached the two. "After such a long time apart, it's good to see that you and Raya can still remain friends." His comment had both teens looking at each other, then back at Zane.

"Instant, I guess." Raya said with a shrug.

Nya approaches. "We need to find and help Lloyd before he gets accused of anything."

The Ninja is quick to find Lloyd, who stood with his attacker and security guards.

"Stop. You are disturbing the peace." The security robs tell Lloyd, who has his attacker restrained. "Conflict is only allowed during the games."

"Lloyd, is that you? What's all this hubbub and commotion?"

Lloyd looked around at the growing crowd. "Whoever this is just tried to give me an early wake up call with this." He held up the weapon and the crowd gasps.

"Is it true!" Zane calls as he rushes over to Lloyd. "Us Ninja are all witnesses."

"Who is it Lloyd?" Cole asks his friend, who looks at his attacker.

"Let's find out." The blonde pulled off the cloaks hood, and the attacker lifts itself up … revealing a robot.

"A robot?" Raya asks in shock. Just before the robot started to malfunction as electricity cracked and flew out, making Lloyd take a few steps back and the robot collapses.

"That's definitely not one of our security bots." Roby said as he and his uncle approach Lloyd. "I can tell you that."

"Whatever it is, I have a pretty good guess about who sent it." Lloyd said suspiciously, just before the same kind of beaten up robot slams onto the first one.

"Do you?" Ras questioned as he, Cinder and Jordana approach. "Maybe it's the same person who sent one after me!"

Suddenly a 3rd robot crashes down on top of the other two robots. Everyone looks up to see the Devonian.

"And a 3rd attacker, it appears." Zane notes, before he kneels down to scan the three.

"What do you see, Uncle?" Lilly asks him.

"The damage is too extensive to access its mechanical memory." Zane answered.

"Then how can we know who sent them?" Arin asks.

Raya approaches Lloyd and carefully examines the spear like weapon that he's still holding. The red head turns. "Tox, you're the Elemental Master of Poison. What is this?" She asks.

"Anything to help Kai's daughter." Tox said with a smile as she approaches to examine the weapon as Lloyd held it up for her. "Hmm, no question. That's a rare Gelba thorn from the Sevateam plant."

"Never heard of it." Lloyd said. "Where are they from?"

"Only one place in all the Merged Lands, the Mother Garden." Tox answered.

"But the Mother Garden's protected." Roby argued. "You can't take plants outta there without the permission of its leader." He and everyone turn their attention to the only plant Master.

"Well, yes, I am the general of the Mucoid Warriors and supreme leader of the Mother Garden, but I assure you, I've got nothing to do with this." Zant-Tanz pauses. "Although, Tox is correct about the origin of the Gelba thorns. They can only come from my home."

The crowd gasps loudly and everyone backs away from Zant-Tanz.

"Zant-Tanz is our friend." Lloyd protested. "I'm sure he didn't do this."

Ras growled. "He is not my friend."

"Of course." Raya folds her arms, glaring at him. "Why would anybody be your friend?" She sneered. "You flea hotel"

Ras snarled as he turns to her. "How's your daddy, little fire?"

That got an outraged scream from Raya, and she leaps at Ras only for Zane to interfere and the teen landed on his shoulder. "I will have my revenge for my father, Ras!" She shook a fist at him. "You're the cause of what happened to him!"

"Raya, please. We'll find a way to get Kai back." Nya said.

Roby is quiet. "The thorns prove it can only be him." He said as he moves forward, and Raya instantly goes quiet as she turns her head to look at him. "And attacking fellow competitors is penalized with immediate exile."

Zant-Tanz raised his hands in surrender as the guards aim their weapons on him. Lloyd moves forward wanting to help his friend.

"I'm telling you, there's no way Zant-Tanz."-

"I want him gone." Ras cuts in, that was quickly followed by the others agreeing.

"Looks like you're not the only one." Roby said, looking around.

"But it's not fair!" Lloyd said as he approaches Zant-Tanz.

"Lloyd, it's ok." The snail tried to reassure. "I'm innocent. But if my leaving would comfort people, I will exile myself voluntarily."

"But where will you go?" Lilly asks curiously as she stood between Cole and Lloyd.

"Back home." Zant-Tanz answered. "I do have some rock stacking to do at home." He explained. "However, be warned, I did not do this. Whoever sent these attacker bots is still among you."

Roby did not look impressed. "Sure, sure, whatever." He snaps his fingers and the security leads Zant-Tanz away. "Enough excitement for one night!" He announces. "Get some rest everyone. First competitions are tomorrow!"

The crowd starts to leave, going back to their quarters for the remaining of the night.

As she turns, Lilly freezes as up ahead of her she sees Jay. "Jay?" She starts to smile and quickly got lost in the crowd as she runs to follow the direction of Jay. "Jay!" She calls, looking around and not seeing him anymore. "Jay!" She pauses as if thinking.

"Lilly!" Cole yells far from a distance. "Where you? Lilly!"

"Lilly!" Zane calls.

Frozen because this is her second time seeing Jay, Lilly didn't know how to react. Then quickly the teen spun around tripping over her own feet as she races back to the Ninja.

"LLOYD!" She screamed, slamming into Arin's side, sending him into a whirling spin as she jumps onto Lloyd's back, sending him stumbling forward and nearly face planting.

"Whoa, Lilly." He breathed as he regained his balance.

"I saw Jay!" She cried, jumping off his back as she shook.

"What?!" Lloyd and Cole gasped. "Where?"

Lilly points in a direction. "That way, but I lost him the crowd."

Cole approached his daughter and places his hands on her shoulders. "Sweetheart, are you sure you saw him?" He asks.

"Dad, saw him!" She looks up at him, then turns to Lloyd. "I know I saw him!"

"We miss Jay too." Lloyd told her gently. "Lil, there's a lot of people here." He points out. "Maybe."-

"This is not the first time I saw him."

Lloyd, Zane, and Cole look at each other at the confession. "You saw him before?" Zane asked, earning a nod from Lilly. "Where?"

"When we were in Mysterium. When Bonzle and I were hiding." Lilly explained. "Ran into him, his memory is wiped."

"So Jay has amnesia?" Cole asked, folding his arms with a thoughtful look on his face.

"He has to have amnesia." His daughter nods. "He had no idea who I was, even though I tried to make his empty head remember!"

Lloyd turns to Zane. "We all woke up in different areas after the Merge. Could it be possible he woke up somewhere and maybe someone messed with his head?" The blonde asked.

Zane nods. "It is possible." He turns back to Lilly. "Lillian, what was Jay doing when you found him the first time?" He asks. "In Mysterium?"

"I originally thought he was working for the administration." Lilly answers. "But now?" She trails off with a shrug. "I don't know. I'm sorry." Her voice shook. "I couldn't break him free."

Cole shook his head. "It's ok, Lilly." He assured as he wrapped his arm around his daughter. "You did good."

In the morning, in their quarters, Arin is trying to convince Raya and Sora or mostly Raya. "I know Zant-Tanz." He told the girls. "He doesn't have a cruel bone in his body! Actually, he doesn't have any bones in his body, but that's not the point."

"Then what is the point?" Raya questioned board, her arms folded as she's leaned on the table with Kai's picture behind her.

"I think he's right." Sora agreed.

"Agh!" Raya grumps. "Even empty heads and spineless saps can tare your head off, all you gotta do is give them the right push!"

"Ignore the firecracker." Sora told Arin as she made a face at Raya, then turns back to Arin. "If he wasn't behind those attacks. Who was?"

"My guess, the same person who's responsible for attacking the Matriarch, and his name rhymes with 'paws'. Ras."

Raya rolls her eyes. "Oooh, so original." She said dryly.

Arin turns to her. "I'm talking about Ras."

"Duh!" Raya huffs, Arin looks at her with a little hurt.

Sora approaches him. "Like I said, forget about the firecracker." The pink haired teen turns Arin around.

"This whole mystery solving stuff is hard." He complained. "My parents were so good at it! They'd probably solve this whole thing in a day."

"That's good." Raya nods. "Master Wu would have solved this whole thing within an hour or two hours!"

Sora gives her a look. "You're not helping anything here."

"Whatever." Raya turns and walks out, closing the door behind her as she leaves.

"You know, if she'd stop acting so much like fire, then maybe." Arin trails off.

"Forget Raya for right now. When shove comes to shove, Lloyd or Nya will straighten her out." Sora tried to reassure. "Have you asked the other Ninja for help?" She asks. "How about Lilly? She's more friendlier then Raya."

"I'll ask Lilly only if I'm stumped. And no." Arin shook his head. "Lloyd made this my mission. If I can't compete in the tournament. I'm determined to prove myself by solving this mystery. The safety of the Source Dragons is at stake here." He turns to Riyu, time to hunt for some clues."

Riyu grunts, but he follows Arin out.

After awhile, Arin has his nose in a notebook but he closes it as he and Riyu walk. "The attacker must have come through here last night, Riyu." He sighs. "We need to try and retrace that bot's steps."

Riyu squawks, making Arin look at him. "You find something?"

Riyu continues sniffing and squawks again.

"You found the same scent as last night?" Arin asks. "If we can figure out where the attacker came from, maybe we can figure out who sent them."

Riyu continues to sniff the ground, following his nose with Arin behind him. They turn into an alley only to meet a wall.

"Dead end." Arin takes note of symbol on the wall of a dragon. "Wait." He peers closer. "Some kind of symbol scratched into the wall." He opens his notebook. "I wonder if this is a clue to whoever sent the bot? Let me copy if down."

"How about we take a picture of it instead?" Lilly offers as she suddenly comes up to him, holding a camera.

"Lilly?" Arin does a double take, he watches as she approaches as she's holding an old camera.

"I'm … sorry for acting like a know-it-all in the beginning." She apologizes as she fiddles with the camera. "And showing off."

Arin smiles. "It's ok." His smile fades. "Can I ask, does Raya always act out in spite and bitterness?"

"That's her nature." Lilly answers with a nod. "She acts just like Kai. My dad said it's scary having two Kai's under the same roof. She bugs me, like I bug her." Lilly moves to the wall, taking a picture of the symbol.

"Arin!" Frak comes into the alley. "What are you up to?"

"Oh, Frak, hey!" Arin closes his notebook as he approaches his childhood best friend. "We were, uh, well." He chuckles nervously.

"We're doing some Ninja business." Lilly answered for him.

Frak laughs. "Do you know how cool it is you get to say stuff like that?" He asks, he looks at Lilly. "You are so lucky!" He looks back at Arin. "My master's been training me hard, but I'm taking a break to grab a pie. Interested?"

At the mention of 'pie', Riyu's stomach growls making the teens look at Riyu, who looks at his stomach.

"I might know a dragon who'd be up for a pie, or ten." Arin smiles, turning to Frak. "Let's go!"

Frak looks at Lilly, who didn't move. "You're invited too." He promises.

Lilly smiles. "Thank you, but ah … Ninja and the Serpentine doesn't mix well."

"Lilly, you can trust him." Arin protested. "I've known him my whole life! He defends not hurts."

Frak shook his head. "I get it." He approaches Lilly, who took a step backwards. "I'm a Serpentine, it's my blood. The Merge changed everyone." Lilly still looked scared. "I promise I don't hurt."

"I'm sorry." Lilly's voice broke a little. "Just … give me a little more time?" She turns and bolts out of the alley.

Arin approaches Frak. "She'll come around." He assures. "She's a lot more friendly than Raya."

Frak nods, not hurt at all by her actions. "It's ok, let's go."

Cole is walking through the streets. Lilly then approaches him quickly. "Hey, there you are." He smiles, then his smile fades. "What's wrong?"

"Arin's friend. Frak." She answered. "The Serpentine."

"Oh." Cole nods. "Still thinking about the past, huh?" He asks.

"I don't like it here, dad I want to go home."

Cole shook his head. "We can't." He reminds as a figure comes up to them from behind him. "We still have a job to do."

"Cole! Lilly!" Geo beams as he approaches, that got both to turn.

"Huh?" They smile at Geo.

"Geo!" Lilly smiles and the two hug.

Cole laughs. "What are you doing here?"

"I was invited to show up here after you left." Geo answered. "I figured you'd wind up here too, so I came."

"That's cool!" Cole smiles. "We're checking out the city before the competition starts."

"That's good." Geo nods. "Hey, I wanna show you something. Come with me!"

The three run off before stopping near a tall white mech that's standing in front of the Temple City Museum.

Lilly moves closer to read the plague that's below the mech. "Dad, this belongs to Grandma." She straightens and turns to him, still pointing at the plague.

"What!?" Cole gasps, he looks up at the mech and whistles. "Wow!"

"Dad, do you know any of Grandma's adventures?" Lilly asks curiously.

Cole shook his head. "No." He turns to his daughter. "I never knew your Grandmother was a Ninja until after I joined the Ninja."

Inside their quarters. The Ninja are training, incept for Raya who continued to stand in front of Kai's picture.

Arin pulls out his notebook, as he does Lilly hands him the picture of the symbol. "Thanks." He smiles.

"You're welcome … I'm sorry if I hurt Frak's feelings." She apologized.

"It's ok." He smiles. "I promise, he's not offended." He said just as Sora runs in, and quickly approaches the two.

"Arin! You're not going to believe this."

He looks up at her. "That they have Merlopian cream pies here?" He said cheerfully. "I know! I had 3 of them!"

"What?" Sora asks confused, she looks at Lilly.

"Frak invited Arin to a pie break." Lilly answered, folding her arms.

"Look." Sora gives Arin a weird look. "It's about your old friend Frak, he's on Ras' team!"

"Whoa." Raya said as she approaches. "Jealous much?" She asks as Arin closes his notebook.

"That can't be true."

"I saw it with my own eyes." The pink haired teen argued.

Riyu growls.

"Even Riyu can tell." Raya nods at Riyu. Arin frowns at the dragon.

"You think so too Riyu? But Frak is such a great guy!" He looks at Lilly. "Lilly?"

"Sorry Arin. There's a reason why Master Wu says to never trust a snake. And all the Serpentine in the past have been bad guys."

Arin jumps back from them, facing all four. "Sora, you must've seen something else and got confused."

"I didn't. And I wouldn't lie to you, Arin."

"Just say that you're jealous." Raya told her. "We'll wait."

Before Sora could think up a response, the door slides open to reveal Lloyd entering. "We better head over to the Games Plaza. First event's coming up, and Roby, trying to make everything "as exciting as possible," won't tell anyone who's competing until the event itself."

The team, minus Raya leave the room. After a minute Lloyd returns and walks over to Raya.

"Raya?" He asks gently, placing a hand on her shoulder.

"I miss dad." She turns to Lloyd. "And I wonder what his thoughts would be on all this?"

"Your dad wasn't fond of the original tournament." Lloyd has to smile as he looks at the picture of Kai. "I'm sure he'd have lots of crazy ideas about this tournament."

Kai, Eleanor, and Bonzle are walking upside down throughout the Nether Space, Eleanor gripping Kai's hand tightly as she did not like being upside down, the three stop as they hear the Forbidden Five.

"Why the delay? What's taking so long?"

Kai tugs on Eleanor's hand as he moves and they hide in a doorway, and suddenly they're right side up as they see the remaining Forbidden Five in front of a red web of light.

"That looks like a portal." Eleanor whispers.

"Looks like one to me." Kai whispers as they watch the remaining Forbidden Five gathered around one of their own who's in a chair and glowing white.

"My patience is wearing thin."

Kai narrows his eyes on the glowing member. "Ellie, one of the Five made it out of here, but we've only ever seen three in here?"

"Where's the others?" Eleanor asks with in another whisper.

"Guess that sleeping one is the last of them."

"Sounds like they're talking to someone." Bonzle said. "But who? And how?"

"Make haste. The sooner we are free, the sooner our brutal dominance can continue." The three conscious members walk away.

Kai turns to his two friends. "They found a way to talk to someone on the outside who could free them?"

"We gotta check it out." Bonzle said, starting to move.

Kai started to follow, but notices Eleanor hasn't moved. "Ellie?"

She's sitting on the ground with her knees pulled up to her chest as she hugs her legs. A terrified look on her face.

Kai frowns as he kneels in front of her. "Ellie?"

"We're never going to make it out of here." She wasn't looking at him. "We're not going to see our families, ever again!" She cried, starting to freak out.

"Hey,hey,hey." Kai said gently as he sat down on his knees and took her shoulders. "Ellie, those are crazy ideas. And I'm the King Of Crazy Ideas! Remember?"

With eyes flowing with tears, Eleanor looks at Kai. "Look around Kai! We're in a realm of stairwells that's been taking us nowhere. Master Wu is gone!" Her lower lip trembled as she shook. "My sister!" Her tears start sliding down her cheeks. "We are not in the Monastery Of Spinjitzu, hell we're not even in Steeper Wisdom. We're trapped in this God forsaken realm with a bunch of corridors of endless stairs!" She lowers her face to hide in her lap.

Kai shifts to sit next to her. "I." He hesitates. "I don't know where Master Wu is." He rubs the back of his neck. "Ellie please, we need you to calm down."

Eleanor lifts her head to look at him. "Calm down!?" She demands. "You want me to calm down!?"

Kai quickly held up his hands in surrender. "Ok, ok!" He said quickly. "I'm sorry!"

She sniffs and looks away. "No. I'm sorry." She whips her eyes. "I'd love some of Master Wu's Calming Tea right about now." Her voice still shook as she tries to calm herself.

"I miss Skylor." Kai suddenly said, making both Eleanor and Bonzel look at him.

Eleanor closed her eyes and took a deep calming breath, before opening her eyes. "Ok." She breathed. "You and Skylor have been through enough." She slowly picks herself up. "We need to find a way to open that portal."

In the city, the tournament had been well underway. "Please welcome to the arena, she's slick, she's cool, and she's well-hydrated! Nya, Elemental Master of Water!" Roby announced and Nya is shown on the screens.

"Take your oppoment out cold, Auntie!" Raya cheers. "For dad!"

"You got this Nya!" William added.

Lloyd approaches Nya, as the two look over towards Ras' team, who are clustered together like they're hiding the member who she's suppose to fight. "Looks like Ras might be coaching your opponent."

"Whoever it is, I can take em." Nya said with confidence. She walks down the steps, and Ras side steps to reveal his hidden member.

The original Ninja gasp. "Jay!" Raya cried.

"I knew I saw him!" Lilly added. "But now I wish I was wrong."

Jay approaches as he glares at Nya. Roby hovers between Nya and Jay.

"The most shocking competitor in the tournament, Jay Gordon-Walker, Elemental Master Of Lightning!" Roby announces and his picture is shown on the screens.

Jay summons his lightning and the crowd cheers.

Raya and Lilly rush up to stand on either side of Nya. "Jay!" The two teens cried in union.

But unfortunately, no sign of remembering is seen on Jay's face. "Who are you two?"

Raya folds her arms with irritation. "Jay! It's us, the Ninja! You empty bone head!"

Nya turns to the teens. "Girls, go back to the others." She orders.

"But Jay." Lilly starts, and trails off when Nya shakes her head.

"That's not Jay anymore."

"Right." Lloyd agrees as he approaches. "Remember. We don't know what happened to Jay after he disappeared in the Merge."

"This isn't fair!" Raya said. "Cole! Go over there and knock on Jay's head, make him remember!"

"It doesn't work like that." Lloyd told her.

"It's time for!" Roby continued, and a tower rises out of the ground of the arena and a floating dagger appears at the top. "The Tower Battle! The first to reach the top of the tower and get that glorious blinged-out dagger will be hey-o, winner!"

Raya started forward. "I'll fight Jay!"

"No!" Lilly moved forward. "I'll fight Jay!"

"Girls!" Lloyd grabs both of the back of their collars, pulling them back. "Nya, we don't have a choice."

Bleckt rings the bell, and Jay prepares himself. Lloyd pulls Raya and Lilly back with him.

"But, but." Lilly stutters as Lloyd guides her to Cole. "How are we suppose to defeat a friend?" She asks. "By getting knocked out!?"

The Ninja watch as Nya tries to fight him. Raya narrows her eyes on Jay. "Jay!" She yells quickly moving forward, only for William and Lloyd and grab her to pull her back. "Jay, you have to remember who you are, Zaptrap!" She hoped Cole's old nickname would help jog at least 1 memory.

Jay summons lightning again and attacks Nya, who dodges. As he continues to attack Nya, Jay continued to explain what happened to him. Or at least what the enemy had told him. "I escaped from there, then Lord Ras found me and rescued me." He kicks Nya, sending her to the ground. "I owe it to Ras to win this tournament, whatever it takes." He pulls out a Wolf Mask.

On the sidelines, the Ninja gasp with horror and shock. "Jay! No!" Cole yells.

"Don't put that on!" William added. "Jay!"

Jay pulls off his mask and raises the wolf one.

"Jay!" Lilly cried.

"Don't!" Zane yelled.

Lloyd suddenly yelped when both Lilly and Raya nearly bulldoze him, but the girls cling to his arms.

"Lloyd, do something!" Raya cried.

"We're gonna loose him forever!" Lilly cried. "He's going to shatter his goodness!"

Lloyd could only shake his head. "I'm afraid we already lost him." He said in defeat.

The Ninja could only watch helplessly as Jay places the Wolf Mast on. Ras pulls out the Gong and Mallet of Shattering. He hits the gong, and the mask goes red and disappears, and Jay's eyes glow red.

Tears slide down Raya's cheeks as she clings to Lloyd's right arm, and Lilly hid her face behind Lloyd's left arm as Jay rushes forwards striking Nya with his lightning, and sending her flying into the air. He jumps and smashes her into the ground. Jay kicks Nya with a jumping 360 degree roundhouse kick and sends her crashing into the side of the tower. Jay does Shatterspin.

"NO!" Raya screamed, terrified for her aunt.

Nya slowly gets back to her feet. "You don't leave me any choice, Jay." She said as she pulls her bandana on and uses Rising Dragon Technique. She hits Jay, knocking him backwards and knocking him to the edge of the arena, the crowd and the Ninja cheer.

Jay slowly pushes himself to get back up. Nya then climbs then quickly climbs the tower. Jay soon gives chase all the while shooting his powers at her. Nya dodges and gets to the top first and snatching the dagger. She holds it high while the audience cheers. The younger Ninja cheers, while the original Ninja continue to stay concerned.

"We have a winner!" Roby announces. "Nya, the Master Of Water! Woot-woot! Spa-lash!"

"I wish Master Wu was here." Lilly's voice is thick with tears as they watch Nya show off the Lighting powers. "Daddy." She turns and Cole is quick to her side, gathering her into his arms.

"Nya won." Sora said. "We're We're doing what the Source Dragon asked of us. So why does this just feel empty?" She asks.

"Because we might've won the match, but we lost Jay." Lloyd answered.

In the Nether Space. Kai, Eleanor and Bonzle jump down from their hiding place and approach the sleeping Forbidden Five member in the chair.

"Is she asleep?" Bonzle asks. "Or." She trails off.

Kai walks in front of the Forbidden Five member and waves a hand in the member's face, no response.

"She's breathing, but she's totally out of it or something." Kai decides, he waves his hands about. "Hello? Boo!" No response. "Nope, she's out."

"Kai! Stop playing around." Eleanor scolds with her hands on her hips.

Bonzle then notices Kai's right arm. "What is that?" She asks. "Lint?"

The three turn to see the red web of light.

"Those scales, you have a physical connection to someone outside of here. Maybe we can communicate with Riyu" Bonzle said.
