The Rusherz realize it has been on year since they landed on Earth.
And as One year close, another begins; their journey has just begun.
OUR FIRST YEAR HERE
December 31, 1920; evening...
The White House was brimming with joy and celebration. Everyone was drinking, dancing or mingling as everyone celebrated..including the Rusherz. The Rusherz, however, were more in silent awe than the humans.
Liberty:-A YEAR. IT'S BEEN A WHOLE YEAR SINCE WE GOT HERE.
Freefall: I am literally stunned it's been a year.
Woodrow Wilson came over, seeing them in shock and awe.
President Woodrow Wilson: You boys alright?
Swoop: Well, we're-shock. I mean, it's been a whole year since we came here. SO MUCH has happened.
Peck: I mean we started the new year with me being run over by a truck! And look where that lead us!
Woodrow Wilson chuckled nodding.
President Woodrow Wilson: Understandable. You boys have been in space for a long time-um, how long were you floating in space?
They-had no clue.
Toro: He's right, how long have we've been up there?
Sonar: Well, we had no idea how long we lived on Cordalion. We only had the sun and moon as time frames but no idea on the year.
President Woodrow Wilson: *shock* YOU HAD NO IDEA WHAT YEAR IT EVEN WAS?
Spot: We knew weather and what time of day it was but-no clocks, not idea what day or month it was, not even the year.
Woodrow whistled as he face palmed his head.
President Woodrow Wilson: Dear these boys...Well, I do believe with you being here for a year you boys acclimated to the time frame very well.
They nodded in agreement fast.
Cyclops: I mean, that will be helpful um-what year is it gonna be?
President Woodrow Wilson: 1921.
...A HUGE SIGH OF RELIEF WAS HEARD BY ALL. Everyone turned to see the Rusherz looking relieved and happy.
Talon: SHARDS FINALLY, WE HAVE YEARS.
President Woodrow Wilson: *surprise* I never thought i see someone happy to know what the year is, or is gonna be. Then again after hearing what you all have gone through, it is understandable being happy to hear about it.
Stampede: It's gonna be the simplest of things we are going to be happy to learn and regain here.
Woodrow Wilson nodded with a smile.
President Woodrow Wilson: So, my term will be done in the new year. What will you boys do?
K-9: Joseph got us arrangements in Canton Ohio. He says it's temporary for a while till we get a HQ of our own.
Fang: We still got a long road ahead of us with the League, but we're ready to face whatever may come our way.
Liberty got up, holding Woodrow's hands with a warm smile.
Liberty: Woodrow, thank you so much for letting us stay here during your final term as President. I hope you and Edith enjoy, what is basically your golden years.
President Woodrow Wilson: Well, I'll still be working hard to serve the country from Kalorama here in the city. Want to still help our country grow even if I'm not the president.
They nodded as he waved them off, heading back to his wife.
Lasso: He's very nice but-
Claw: You thinking about what we read?
Lasso: Oh yeah...But, this next one, I think we all should keep a close eye on who runs the show that is this country.
Spot: Least Calvin is vice president.
Freedom: -sighs- Still, we're gonna be seeing lot of change of the guards when it comes to the presidential seat. Best to keep an eye on this.
Liberty: Very good call.

The clock ticked on as the party continued, the Rusherz in their own spot as they watched on.
Fang:-What are gonna do after the new year, once we get to Canton you guys?
Stampede: We need to check around the city for starters, then we need to plan the routes to get to the stadiums.
Pack: What about your classes Freefall?
Freefall: *smiles* The Dean knows I'll be able to fly to and from University. In fast one day he saw me be two hours early for classes cause I fly there the first time. So I'll be fine.
Grizzly: That's good to hear. Anything else.
Liberty: Joseph and the owners are gonna need us to help them with the first few years. We all need to keep our eyes and ears out for potential teams to help us...*eyes-* THAT included you meeting up with this Art Rooney Blow-Torch. He wants you to help make a team so give him a chance.
Blow-Torch said nothing but nodded.
Stampede: Cyclops, we'll do our best to help you out since you just returned to us. There is still alot we're learning, but what we do know we can help you out with.
Cyclops: *Smiles* Thanks guys...speaking of which, I heard there's this tradition about the new year. Resolutions, so-do you think our game plan counts?
They mused on this for a while.
Arrow-Head: KINDA..But, what else?
The were quiet for a while.
Pack:-I want to get to know my team better.
Pack started first with a smile, soon followed by Grizzly.
Grizzly: I want to help Hal and Minne with their team's changes so we can be ready.
And the others soon chimed in with smiles as well.
Peck: I want to help my team improve form last season, see how far we can go!
Swoop: I-I wanna learn more about the wildlife and nature here on Earth.
Freefall: Want to complete the next year of classes in University, to get closer to graduation.
Everyone of them talked with one another, till-
Spot: Liberty? What about you?
Liberty looked up to the others.
Liberty: My resolution...there's, alot on my plate to be honest. I want to help grow the league, help you all get your teams so you have a place to protect the shards, I-there is so much...*thinks* But-*trails off*.
The others got worried hearing Liberty trail off for a moment there.
Liberty: I think..the one thing I want to do for the new year, I want-I want to help you guys and Joseph make the league stronger, so we can have a league s strong it's infectious to the other countries!
Liberty beamed as he stood on the chair.
Liberty: I want this league to be the best of the best, right next to the tops leagues like Baseball! I want us to some day see the world! Spread our joy of football and also grow! I want this League to be OUR TEAM! OUR TEAM MADE UP OF ALL TYPES TO TEAMS FROM ALL OVER THE U.S.! I WANT US TO LIVE IN THIS NEW WORLD, FACING WHATEVER CONFLICTS HEAD ON TOGETHER!
-Liberty blushed as he saw everyone staring at him alongside the Rusherz, slowly sitting down apologizing as the others smiled.
Peg-Leg: Aye that is one powerful resolution for the next year Lib. THINK though it might be more of a couple of years for that to come true.
Liberty chuckled rubbing his head.
Liberty: Hehe got a bit excited there, but yeah, that's my resolved.
Sonar: Well it's a good resolution...though let's get use to the planet the first few years before we face situations head on first.
Liberty: VERY GOOD IDEA.
They all chuckled nodding as they watched the clock...
Pick-Ax: Eleven PM. Will say it's nice to have time again.
Pillage: Ah we'll be able to sleep properly now with this, and the fact we're not on high alert.
Beast: AGREE fully. I haven't slept that well in years. Or decades...seriously how long were we up in space?
Soar: How about we not think about that and just be happy to be on land. *Smiles* Besides, there's alot more things to think about than questions we won't be able to answer yet.
Chief: Good idea..
All turned to the ticking cloak.

Freefall: I can't believe it's gonna be a whole year. So much has happened.
Stampede: It's strange really, it only feels like yesterday we woke up in that crater with the shards.

Freefall: I know...it's, so surreal.
Stampede: It is. Hey Lib, what's gonna happen next?

Liberty turned to Stampede and Freefall, with a warm smile on his face. That soon formed on Freefall and Stampede as they and the other Rusherz looked at the clock.
Liberty: Simple.

Liberty reached out his hands to Freefall and Stampede, who both held them.
Liberty: We'll face it head on together.

JANUARY 1, 1921, MIDNIGHT...
EVERYONE: HAPPY NEW YEAR!
And with that, the Rusherz had been on Earth for one full year, and their journey they all knew had just begun.
END OF THE FIRST YEAR ARC.
AND THE FIRST YEAR HAS BEEN COMPLETE! YES!
Now with that's done a quick note for future chapters with this series.
There will be arcs, mostly spanning for days, weeks to months with some chapters. When we hit the sixties there will be a certain event that will take place, but we'll talk more about when we hit that time frame.
So, I hope you all are ready cause now, NOW WE'RE GOING INTO THIS ;).
