Eating Up to Fuel Up for Battle
The group of family and friends have arrived at one place where they can all enjoy a nice quick meal before the next match for them to watch, a noodle chart called "A Simple Wok" where Yang and Kakarot heard this serves the best noodles in the whole kingdom.
"Oh, this look settles." Kali commented.
"Smells settle too." Kakarot sniffed the air, smelling the great scent of the noodles.
Everyone gathers at the noodle cart with the old man seeing the numbers and set up an expansion with chairs and making the counter longer for everyone to sit in.
"I'll have a bowl of the regular, please." Yang made her order, and the old man gave her a large bowl of noodles.
"Oohhh... I'll take the same." Ruby requested and she got the same large bowl at Yang.
"Do you have anything with a low salt...?" Weiss was gonna ask about the noodles the old man has, but she just got one large bowl of noodles as well. "Um... okay..."
When it was Blake's turn, she simply looks at the old man and not even saying a word about her order as if the old man already knew she wants from the look of her face, then zips into the back and coming back out with a large bowl of fish much to her delight with her eyes became stars and drooling.
"You've been doing okay, old man?" Kakarot asked and held up a fist for him.
The old man nods with a smile and fist-bump the boy.
"Cool. You know what I want." Kakarot smirked.
The old man smirks telling him that he has been preparing for this very moment should he ever meet this monkey boy again, then rushes back into the back again and came back showing four very large bowls of ramen with lots of meat and few fishcakes.
"You eat that much?" Ghira was surprised.
"This is our son, after all." Kali reminded her husband how Kakarot likes to eat a lot.
"I'm really thankful that the school was able to willingly pay for the food he eats at the cafeteria. Though that didn't seem to stop the bills from getting bigger every time he eats too much than he should." Blake explained.
"I still can't get over how much of that meat from the barbeque restaurant. That bill was brutal…" Krillin exclaimed.
"Don't worry, I'll pay you back once we become full-fledge huntsmen." Kakarot promised while eating his ramen.
"Then allow me to pay for this." Weiss offered and pulls out her credit card which has the Schnee Dust Company logo on it, the old man took it seeing they'll be paying in credit.
"Aw, Weiss! What's the occasion!?" Yang asked smiling.
"Consider it thanks for sending me to the doubles round." Weiss answered with a smile.
But suddenly her credit card was thrown back at Weiss like a Shuriken forcing her to look as to why he did that, and she sees the old man's register beeps her card has been declined.
"What?! How can my card be declined? I was barely into my monthly allowance!" Weiss shocked.
"Allow us to pay for the meals, Weiss. You have been such a good friend to our kids, it's the least we can do." Ghira offered as he took out his wallet.
"Good thing we've been preparing ourselves plenty when it comes to Kakarot's stomach." Kali whispered to her husband's ear as he nodded.
"And here I was offering myself to pay for you guys." Pyrrha said as she and Team JNPR walked up to them, along with Glynda.
"Hey everyone, you come to try some good noodles?" Kakarot asked.
"Yeah, Pyrrha wanted us to get ourselves fuel up as much as possible and said this place would help with that." Jaune explained.
"Don't worry, I'll be paying for my whole team." Pyrrha assured the Belladonna parents that they don't have to pay for their meals as well.
"I'll be paying for mine as well." Glynda added.
"In that case, let's eat!" Ruby declared.
Moments later, everyone has eaten their share of the large bowls with very satisfying like Kakarot who really enjoy those bowls of ramen, but then there are some who felt like they have eaten too much due to how big the other bowls were despite them being smaller than Kakarot's.
"I don't know why I found myself eating more than I should." Glynda said, pinching the bridge of her nose.
"Guess the smell and taste kept luring us in." Krillin pointed out.
"Are you sure it's wise to have eaten before a fight?" Ren asked concern.
"Of course! It will give us energy!" Pyrrha nodded with a smile while the shopkeeper took the bowls away for cleaning.
Then Nora let out a loud burp that nearly blew her off the chair she is sitting on and Jaune groans from feeling so sickly right now.
"If I barf, I'm blaming you." Jaune exclaimed.
"Ooh, Aim at the enemy!" Nora suggested with an evil smile.
"Nora, that's disgusting. But if you feel the urge..." Ren knew that might happen if Jaune's stomach doesn't feel better soon.
"Got it." Jaune responded groaning with a thumb up.
"Well, we should be off." Pyrrha said as she stood up from her chair.
"So, you think you guys are ready?" Ruby asked.
"Ready to bring the pain?" Kakarot asked with an exciting smile.
"Of course! We've got a world-renowned fighter on our team, one's basically ninja, I can bench five of me, Jaune, we trained all year, our weapons are awesome, Glynda barely yells at us anymore, and uh... Jaune!" Nora bragged though couldn't think of anything great to say about Jaune at the moment even though he has been training hard.
"Are you gonna take that?" Ren asked his leader.
"She's not wrong." Jaune shook his head groaning.
"Well, you have improved your combat skills a little bit." Glynda complimented him the best she could.
"I'm kidding, he knows I'm kidding." Nora chuckled.
"Don't be so nervous! The worst that can happen is we lose, that is just a few more years of walking around school with everyone knowing we're failures, our friends will slowly abandon us to preserve their social status, we won't be able to show our faces in class, no one will sit with us in the cafeteria, Ren and I have no parents, we have no home left to go to, we'll be officially renamed Team Lose-iper!" Nora talked fast slowly going into mad laughter then turn sob as she slams her face on the counter.
"So, yeah, we're feeling pretty good." Ren said.
"Don't fret. If anything, we should be looking forward to a fight with actual guidelines, and not, well, ...murderers." Pyrrha felt glad she and the others don't have to deal with all that anymore.
"Yeah, don't sweat it, we've all faced way worse before." Yang smirked.
"Let's see. Grimm invasions, violent extremists, a destructive sociopath..." Blake listed the things they faced.
"And that's all while we're still in training! Oh, imagine what it would be like to graduate!" Ruby excitedly, already seeing their future of being great Hunters.
"Maybe then I'll be able to pay for a meal." Weiss muttered to herself.
"I think I'll be able to graduate early with my strength?" Kakarot asked.
"No, you will need more than strength and I believe you should take pace with your classes that include keeping up the studies." Glynda answered.
"That means you have to somehow be very smart to get out of school early." Blake pointed out.
""Would Team JNPR please report to the battlegrounds immediately!" Port requested.
"Yes! Like they were scheduled to, several minutes ago!" Oobleck pointed out.
"Well, it looks like this is it." Pyrrha said.
"You guys got this!" Krillin gave them a thumbs up.
"Show them how strong you really are!" Kakarot cheered.

Everyone in the crowd is very excited to see the next fight that is about to happen at any moment, including three certain people with dark intentions for the festival.
"I wonder who's gonna win." Mercury said while eating a large tube of popcorn.
"Tch. As if we didn't already know." Emerald rolled her eyes.
Then Cinder walks up to them and takes an unpopped popcorn from Mercury while wearing a new outfit.
"Oh, come now. Even if you know how the story ends, that doesn't make it any less fun to watch." Cinder grinned. Her new outfit is consisted of gray pants and boots, a beige leather sleeveless jacket with light-beige details, brown gloves, a sarashi tied around her chest and another around her hips, and a pauldron on her left shoulder. She also wears a belt around her waist which has multiple brown pouches attached to it. Her fingernails are painted with tan nail polish.
Cinder looks down at the fighting ring with her eyes glowing along with her fingertips as the kernel suddenly pops into a popcorn.
"Team JNPR of Beacon versus Team BRNZ of Shade!" Port announced and the crowd goes cheering loudly.
Team JNPR face off against their opponents, Team BRNZ as each of them look strong in their own way.
The leader is Brawnz Ni, a young man with dark purple eyes and short black hair that graduates to gray with his hair slicks toward his left. He wears a sleeveless top that graduated from gray to purple, a purple scarf, black pants with bronze kneecaps and a bronze buckled black belt and a dark purple scarf that wrapped around his right leg and black boots with studded strap detailing. He also has three black straps, one studded, on his left arm.
The second member is Roy Stallion, he's a dark-skinned young man with green eyes and brown hair styled in cornrow dreadlocks tips in gold clasps. He wears a green vest buckled closed on his left shoulder, over a black T-shirt and loose white pants rolled up to his knees. He also wears a pair of fingerless gloves with white armor pieces that are the holsters for his weapon and olive canvas sneakers.
The third member, his name is Nolan Porfirio, is a teenage boy with messy dark red hair and pink eyes. He wears a deep sky-blue jacket with a black hood and rolled up black sleeves, open over a white shirt with long, rolled up sleeves. A pair of sunglasses with pink lenses hang from his collar. He also wears a pair of ripped burgundy jeans, black shoes and black finger-less gloves.
Last member is a female named May Zedong, she is young girl with light tan skin, dusky rose hair and gray-blue eyes. She wears a red and white hoodie with blue tracksuit pants and a distinctive black beanie that covered her left eye. She also wears a large black scarf and red canvas sneakers.
The two teams prepare their poses while the holographic roulettes around them starts spinning fast for a moment until they stop with both sides having different things.
The battle stage has also started making some changes with team JNPR's side being a tall mountain with thunder clouds and lightning bolts at the top, and team BRNZ getting the forest side with some of the trees being so tall.
"3... 2... 1..." Port started the countdown.
"This is gonna be exciting!" Kakarot believed. If he still had his tail, it would be wagging right now.
"BEGIN!" Port and Oobleck shouted together as the match started.
Both teams started charging toward each other to begin their clash, to see which of them will reign on top of this battle.
Team JNPR and BRNZ have charged at each other since the alarm sound of their battle to start, all charges at each other except for May who ran into the forest side getting her rifle gun ready while her team does the rest of the close-up fighting.
Brawnz attacks Pyrrha with a knee-kick as she blocks it with her shield and blocks another strike with her xiphos, she jerks her sword away making her opponent jump back.
May found herself a nice branch for a good sniping position as she hooks on one branch with her rifle gun swinging herself on top and turns around to see the battle going on.
Nolan Porfirio is just about to face Ren and Nora as both are taking both sides to surround the guy, then Nora charges in with a swing of her hammer for the head, but Nolan was barely able to dodge the attack as it was an inch close to his head and attempts to attack with his weapon.
May got into her shooting position aiming her rifle gun at her target and fired two bullets that almost hit Ren who was lucky enough to move in to attack Nolan as the bullets destroyed half of a rock behind him.
Jaune is defending against a barrage of strikes from Roy Stallion and his buzzsaw glows being pushed back a foot or two, but he notices something fast flew past his head.
When Jaune notice this immediately and looked over beyond his opponent to see the sniper hiding out among the trees on the other side, he instantly realizes this is the strategy of Team BRNZ to take down his team with both long- and close-range combat.
"Retreat!" Jaune called out.
Team JNPR hurry over to their mountain side hiding behind some rocks that haven't been blasted by May's sharp shooting, but they also know that they can't hide behind the rocks forever for they have a match to win.
"What do we do?" Pyrrha asked.
Jaune looks over the rocks to see three of the close fighters of team BRNZ charging towards them while they're sniper is still shooting from a distance.
"Spread out! Try to keep moving!" Jaune ordered and quickly blocked a punch from Brawnz.
May jumps onto another tree branch to get into a higher position as she aims her sniper rifle carefully.
Pyrrha is fighting Brawnz again while Nolan walking towards Ren with a confident grin as his opponent just slides right into his path.
Nolan turned his head to give a nod signal to May who sees this and shoots three rounds close to Ren's feet forcing him to flip Ren flips over to his left to dodge the bullets and quickly look up seeing Nolan coming in to attack with his cattle prod right on the upside of the head though he was able to counter with a kick, but Nolan ducks the kick and smack Ren's leg and hit him on the chest that shocks him down with electricity.
"Ren!" Nora gasped. No one hurts her precious best friend/brother and gets away with it.
Nora goes in swinging her hammer at Nolan to attack, but he dodges the hammer and hits his electric cattle prod to the girl, but it doesn't seem to be hurting her for some reason.
"Oh-ho! Looks like one of my favorite students, Nora Valkyrie, is charging up to use her Semblance!" Port smirked.
"What?" Nolan started to panic upon hearing that.
"Yes, Ms. Valkyrie's Semblance lets her produce, as well as channel, electrical energy straight to her muscles! This allows her to jump explosively into the air, wield her mighty hammer, or in this case, absorb Nolan's attacks and send the young man flying!" Oobleck explained about Nora's Semblance.
"What?!" Nolan panicked even more now.
Nora pulls back her hammer to flex her muscles, as a way of showing the guy what to fear from him with pink electric sparks dancing around her body.
Nolan holds up his hands for mercy with a horrified look, but Nora doesn't have any mercy for him and bend down zooming her hammer on the guy right at the dick to electric blast him away, bouncing backward across the field and crashes through a large rock.
"That fool should've known better than to try giving her a shock therapy." Kimi smirked.
"Now he just felt her thundering wrath." Yang punned with a fist toward Nora.
Jaune saw what Nora just did and look back at the tall mountain with the thundercloud and lightning bolts striking down, that gave the Arc Knight a big idea that will give Team JNPR the victory in their first fight.
"Nora! Get to the mountain!" Jaune ordered.
"You got it!" Nora saluted, already liking this plan and sprints for the mountain.
"Ren! Try and distract the sniper!" Jaune ordered his other teammate.
One sniper shot nearly miss Ren's head as he looks on toward the tree where May is.
"Sure... Why not." Ren slouched sarcastically, but he trusts his team leader to know that he got a plan for the sniper.
Jaune gave a quick look to Pyrrha who nods and charges into battle again with him doing the same while Nora is making her way all to the top of the mountain so she can give herself a super charge power-up to victory.
Roy threw his buzzsaw blades from his armbraces at Jaune who blocks them with his shield though one bends the metal of the shield to hit Jaune's face making him dizzy, and he starts fighting Pyrrha after getting his buzzsaw blades back as she defends with her shield.
But Jaune quickly recovered and goes in to fight.
"Yeah! Go get 'em, Jaune!" Ruby cheered for her first friend.
"Well, he's certainly improved." Weiss admitted, seeing this for herself though it's only a little.
"I knew he had it in him." Kakarot nodded.
"Yeah, but he ain't got nothing on Pyrrha!" Yang felt excited.
"Totally, look at her go!" Krillin smiled.
Pyrrha is now fighting off both Brawnz and Roy at the same time and back-to-back as they are trying to get in closer to land one hit, but she counters them through every turn.
May spotted Ren coming towards her and tries shooting at him but the green ninja of Team JNPR dodges them and made his way to the forest side as he slides under Pyrrha who just jumped.
But then Nolan appeared from behind a rock to stop Ren from getting to May.
Ren first fired some shots at Nolan as he dodges them and they attack with their weapons and block his cattle prod with the blade of his gun, kick Nola on both sides and use that prod to hold him into a lock hold keeping Nolan in front so that May can't fire at him.
May can see that her teammate is being held hostage and tries to think of something, but then she saw the hammer girl climbing up the mountain heading for the thunderclouds. Remembering what those old teachers said about her Semblance, she takes aim to her enemy.
"Nora!" Ren worried with the sniper now having her attention on Nora.
Jaune clashes his sword against Brawnz's claw gloves holding him back and turns his head to see that Nora is in danger, there was only one thing he could think of at this point.
"Pyrrha, up!" Jaune called out and pushes Brawnz away.
Pyrrha goes under Roy and towards Jaune as she jumps over Brawnz to land on the Arc shield and is thrown high into the air.
May has the target in sight and pulled the trigger to fire the Dust bullet, but the shot never met with Nora because of Pyrrha getting in the way and her shield taking the shot.
"Wow, that was close. I wonder how this is going to end?" Kakarot asked as he keeps watch of this fight carefully.

The fight between Team JNPR and Team BRNZ is really heating up as things are looking like it could go either way, but Nora is going to bring victory for her team once she gets to the top of the mountain by bringing in the thunder!
