"I still say this isn't a good idea, Santa Nemo." Sion was rubbing it in. "...Perhaps it isn't. But I have to try." It was dangerous what I planned to try. Something I shouldn't be messing with. "I still say you should just forget about the whole idea. I mean just changing your whole self for her is one thing. Wanting to go back into the past to try to fix things is another thing all together." I was planning to time travel into the past to see if I could help master's past self. It was true it was dangerous to mess with time. There was no way to know if this would help or hurt things. But I still wanted to try. "I can't just give up on the idea now. This is why I become Santa to start with."
"I mean it's pretty touching you changed yourself just for her~" It was embarrassing when she put it that way. Even if it was true. "Remember if you really do go through with this. She will not be your master when you meet her. She will just be a little girl. She should be around ten if I remember right." I know that. I didn't need her to tell me that. "I-I know that!" I pouted at her. I just can't give up on idea. Even if that chance is small, it could help her, I had to try. "Clearly you have made up your mind, I guess I can only say is good luck, Santa~"
Master...hold on.
My surrounding quickly changed I found myself outside a tall standing house. It was snowing. Was this her house as a child...? I could hear voice from even outside the house. Voices yelling back and fore. "I can't believe what has happened. Things would have turned out better if she hasn't been so selfish today!"
"At least only one of them was killed!"
"But of course the one better at magic was kill!"
"What can we do? We didn't know there would be hunters around!" It sounded like this was the day her sister had been killed. "It would have been better if she had been killed over her sister!" That...that isn't her grandparents saying these things right...? She told me her grandparents had trained her in magic. So, these voices had to be...
"Of course it would have been! But there nothing to be done now!"
"Stupid Child ruined everything!"
"Not like we can disown her. She's the only one left now!" They didn't even see her, or her sister has people. Only as a someone to carry on the bloodline. It was no wonder she gave up the title. I have to find her.
I started to search the house. She was here somewhere I know it. I found a light on in the last room upstairs. Crying could be heard from outside the room. "No. No... that didn't happen!" I could hear a voice from inside the room too. I slowly opened to door to find a small girl in a corner of the room. I was surprised by how small she was. She looked so different next to her present self. She had blonde hair as a child. She was sobbing. Most likely over her sister. I quietly entered the room closing the door behind me.
Don't scary her. Don't scary her...I told myself as I slowly stepped toward her. She quickly noticed me and panicked. "W-Who are you?" Her guard quickly when up noticing me. Shit...Not a great start. I reminded myself she didn't know me at this point. To her I am just a stranger. "It's alright." I told her quietly, "I'm not going to hurt you..." She wouldn't drop her guard she was scared of me.
"W-Why are you here? How did you even get in the house?" I was starting to panic. This was bad firing badly. I was causing more damage than helping right now. Calm down...calm down. She's just a child. I have to do this. "It's alright...Sara." She looked surprised when I said her name, "...How do you know my name...?" She still had tears running down her cheeks. "It's alright. I am Santa Nemo." I started to explain to her, "I came here to give you a present." I said holding it out to her. "..." She just stared at it but wouldn't take it from me. "...?" I thought all children love presents. "No. I don't deserve presents. I been a bad girl. because of me she's gone." She started sobbing loudly.
"H-Hey..."
"Because I was bad and selfish. She's gone. Because I didn't want to go into town she's gone!" She sobbed. "It's all my fault! If only I had gone. She would still be alive!" I finally understood. Why she would always get depressed every year for that one week. She blamed herself for her sister's death. But if she had gone into town that day...she would have been the one killed. She was full of regret. "Hey..." I tried to touch her, but she hit my hand away. "No. No...!" she yelled. Was this hopeless?
"I'm a bad girl. I don't deserve anything..." She sobbed holding her knees against herself. I had come back here to help her but. How can I? Her state is...that's how she was not too long ago. This State...it was cause by. I see that's it. That's why... "That's not true." I plainly told her, "Huh?"
"Nothing that happened was your fault."
"B-But they said..." They lied to you. They wanted to blame you. They needed someone to blame for them. So, they wouldn't have to blame themselves. "They lied to you. Nothing that happened was your fault." They didn't want to take the blame themselves, so they forced it on the only grandchild they had left. They didn't care what it did to her. "You I mean I wasn't a bad girl? It isn't my fault?" I lightly patted her head. "No, you aren't a bad girl." I have to try again. "Sense you aren't a bad girl you can have this." I held the present out to her again. "But..." She was still hesitant to take it from me. "It's for you and only you." I handed her the present over. She still looked unsure about taking the box from me. I placed my hands on top of her. "It was made only for you Sara." I plainly told her. She could only give me a questionable look. "What was your name again?"
"Nemo." She nodded to me as I smiled at her. I lightly pressed my forehead against her. She will most likely forget about this whole thing. But the only thing she will have to know it happened will be the gift. "Nemo...?" I could feel myself starting to fade. I was going back to my time. "I have to go back. I only came here to give you that. I hope...I hope you will never give up." She clearly didn't understand what I meant. "What do you mean?"
"I'm sorry. But...without a doubt we will meet again one day, my princess." I waved to her as I slowly disappeared from the time, "Nemo?" The small girl was left alone in her room wondering if the whole thing had happened. But she knew it had sense She was holding a small box in her hands.
