82. Chapter 81

Chapter 81: KickinChicken Vs Simon Smoke: Strange Encounters, Part 4

KickinChicken meanwhile was walking to a store.

"Let's see if that store I always go to still has those ylang-ylang body sprays I always get…" He said, "I don't know why, but I always love those ylang-ylang flowers… It attracts the ladies I'm close to, mostly to Hoppy…"

KickinChicken's phone started to ring.

"Hmm?" He wondered as he got out his phone and noticed that it was from an anonymous number, "Who's this?"

KickinChicken then accepted the call.

"Hello?" He asked on the phone call,

"Hey, if you get this number, better make your way to the Sports Colosseum." The caller replied, "No reason, but–"

"--Why are you calling in the middle of a duel?!" Another voice shouted,

"What the hell?!" KickinChicken said, shocked, "What's going on here?!"

"Just hurry up and show up!" The called said as he hung up,

"Hey! Who are you?! Who are you dueling?! Oh fucking hell, I gotta do something!"

KickinChicken then made his way to the Sports Colosseum and went inside as it was still empty, but still had some guests roaming around without doing anything major. KickinChicken then looked out at the arena and noticed what was going on, two dragon critters, one familiar to him, dueling and the one familiar to him was gonna lose.

"Holy shit, I think I know what's going on!" He said,

At the arena, DandyDragon was on her knees as she dealt with a powerful attack. She looked up at another dragon critter, but was red and was a male dragon critter. He had a charm representing a golden dollar sign, but was worn like a golden chain.

"Man, you suck at this." He said to her,

"Teh, from one dragon critter to another, you really are a piece of shit." DandyDragon said, annoyed,

KickinChicken ran to DandyDragon and the red dragon critter.

"Hey, what's going on?!" He shouted,

The red dragon critter then turned to see KickinChicken and punched him in the face, knocking him down.

"Kickin!" DandyDragon shouted,

KickinChicken was on the ground, hurt from the punch.

"The fuck?!" He shouted at the red dragon critter,

"Aww, did I hurt you real bad?" The red dragon critter asked him, "Or couldn't you see my fist close enough since you only have one eye?"

KickinChicken then got up and got serious.

"You asshole!" He shouted, "I've been through hell that caused me to wear an eyepatch!"

"Oh boo-hoo, like I give a shit." The red dragon critter said,

"Wow, you really are a piece of shit."

"Took the words out of my mouth." DandyDragon said as she got up,

"Still, who are you?!"

"Who am I?" The red dragon wondered as he chuckled, "Oh, you're looking at the best of the best right here! Simon Smoke!"

KickinChicken was shocked.

"Wait, time out!" He said, "You're one of those 4 critters kidnapped twice, weren't you?!"

"Wait, what?!" DandyDragon shouted, "Ok, first off, why are you here, Kickin?"

"He called me! Simon called me to come here!"

"Of course I did!" Simon said, "I just wanted a cool cat like me to show you what I got and why I'm always on top!"

Simon turned to DandyDragon.

"I know Maggie dueled here before." He said to her, "She was Top 4 here, huh?"

"Maggie Mako, wasn't it?" KickinChicken asked him, "She was also kidnapped twice, huh? If you were kidnapped twice, then why are you here with Dandy?"

"He forced me to duel him for answers." DandyDragon replied, "If I didn't, then I would have been killed by now."

"Oh, yeah, I also threaten to kill." Simon said,

"Dude, uncool!" KickinChicken said,

"Didn't you do that before? Like, I don't know, 2 years ago?"

"Don't even try to guilt trip me! I can change, you know?"

Simon chuckled.

"Yeah, yeah, good for you, bro." He said, "But you can't escape your past!"

"Hell yeah I can!" KickinChicken said, "And it takes time!"

"Ok, instead of arguing or even trying to kill each other, didn't you want to duel him earlier, Simon?" DandyDragon asked him,

"Heh heh, oh yeah, I forgot about that." Simon replied, "Yeah, you better duel me, chicken!"

"I'm not backing down on this one!" KickinChicken said as he got out his Duel Disk, "And let's be honest, this chicken right here is gonna kick your ass back to the Middle Ages!"

"We'll see about that!"

Simon and KickinChicken took their place on the dueling field of the arena and activated their Duel Disks. DandyDragon was watching from the side with her arms crossed.

"Simon Smoke…" She said as she closed her eyes, "Is it just me, or did the kidnappings get to you?"

Then, KickinChicken and Simon Smoke both shouted, "Duel!" to start their duel together.

Turn 1

KickinChicken: 4000

Simon Smoke: 4000

DandyDragon looked at both critters. She then didn't say another word as the duel was about to get intense from her view.

Simon then looked at his hand and smiled. He sets 4 cards in his Spell and Trap Zone.

"I set four and end my turn!" He said,

"Wh-That's it?!" KickinChicken said,

"Don't act surprised, Kickin!" DandyDragon said, "He's not bluffing when he's setting those cards!"

"Heh, you have a point. Allister set 5 when he dueled Hoppy a while ago yet she won clean."

"Allister, huh?" Simon wondered, "That's a name I haven't heard of in a while. But anyways, hurry up and start your turn!"

KickinChicken took a deep breath.

"Alright, my turn!" He said as he draws to start Turn 2,

KickinChicken looked at his hand of 6 and started to think.

"I have nothing to remove his back row…" He said, "I'm just gonna have to see what he has the manual way."

KickinChicken then played a familiar Continuous Spell.

"I'll start my turn by activating the Continuous Spell, Black Feather Whirlwind!" He said, "I'll show you what it does later, for now!"

KickinChicken then Normal Summoned a monster.

"I summon Blackwing - Sudri The Phantom Glimmer in Attack Position!" He said,

Blackwing - Sudri The Phantom Glimmer was Normal Summoned in Attack Position with 1400 ATK Points.

"When Sudri is Normal Summoned, I can add a card from my Deck to my Hand that mentions Black-Winged Dragon!" He said as he did so and revealed it, "Which will be Vata The Emblem Of Wandering! And I'm gonna Special Summon him right now since I control a Blackwing monster other than him!"

Blackwing - Vata The Emblem Of Wandering was Special Summoned in Attack Position with 800 ATK Points.

"He's following along, yes?" KickinChicken asked himself, "I better hope he does, because I need to see what he has!"

KickinChicken then revealed another Blackwing monster.

"Here's another Blackwing monster I can Special Summon when I control another Blackwing monster, being Bora The Spear!" He said,

Blackwing - Bora The Spear was Special Summoned in Attack Position with 1700 ATK Points.

"And you thought I would go into Synchro Summoning now?" KickinChicken asked him, "Not yet!"

KickinChicken then revealed yet another Blackwing monster.

"I have Harmattan The Dust!" He said,

Blackwing - Harmattan The Dust was Special Summoned onto the field in Attack Position with 800 ATK Points.

"Are you trying to show off with your Special Summoning bullshit?" Simon asked with a grin, "Heh, it's almost hilarious."

"Yeah, how about you shut up and let me finish!" KickinChicken shouted, "Now I'm gonna Synchro Summon as I tune my Level 2 Vata The Emblem Of Wandering with my Level 2 Harmattan The Dust and my Level 4 Sudri The Phantom Glimmer!"

A Synchro Summon has started between the Level 2 tuner Vata The Emblem Of Wandering and the non-tuners Level 2 Harmattan The Dust and Level 4 Sudri The Phantom Glimmer.

"Coat the black feathers of my foes and unleash a deadly whirlwind!" KickinChicken chanted, "Synchro Summon!"

Under a whirlwind a black feathers, a dragon emerges.

"Soar to power. Black-Winged Dragon!" KickinChicken shouted,

Black-Winged Dragon was Synchro Summoned in Attack Position with 2800 ATK Points.

"Now for Black Feather Whirlwind's effect!" KickinChicken said, "When a DARK Synchro Monster is Special Summoned, I can target one of my Blackwing monsters or Black-Winged Dragon in my Graveyard or banished that has less ATK Points and Special Summon it!"

KickinChicken then revealed Vata The Emblem Of Wandering.

"And that will be Vata The Emblem Of Wandering!" He said as Vata was Special Summoned back onto the field in Attack Position again, "And this time I'll tune him with Bora for another Synchro Summon!"

Another Synchro Summon has started between Level 2 tuner Vata The Emblem Of Wandering and Level 4 non-tuner Bora The Spear.

"I Synchro Summon, the Level 6 Tuner Synchro Monster, Blackwing - Boreastorm The Wicked Wind!" KickinChicken shouted,

Blackwing - Boreastorm The Wicked Wind was Synchro Summoned in Attack Position with 2400 ATK Points.

"Where are you going with this?!" Simon said, "A Level 14 Synchro Monster doesn't exist, you know?"

"I know that, which is why I'm using the effect of my Boreastorm upon being Synchro Summoned!" KickinChicken said, "I can send a Blackwing monster from my Deck to my Graveyard to have Boreastorm's level be the same as that sent monster!"

"What?"

"That's right!"

KickinChicken then revealed a Blackwing monster he wants to send from his Deck to his Graveyard.

"And I'll send Sharnga The Waning Moon!" He said as Blackwing - Sharnga The Waning Moon was sent from his Deck to his Graveyard, "And since Sharnga is a Level 2, Boreastorm's Level will now become 2!"

The Level of Blackwing - Boreastorm The Wicked Wind becomes 2.

"Here comes one more Synchro Summon!" KickinChicken said, "I tune my Level 2 Boreastorm The Wicked Wind with my Level 8 Black-Winged Dragon!"

"Ooh, I think I know where this is going!" DandyDragon said,

Yet another Synchro Summon commenced with the Level 2 tuner, Boreastorm The Wicked Wind and the Level 8 non-tuner Black-Winged Dragon.

"Darken your wings to unleash a nasty assault of a feathered whirlwind!" KickinChicken chanted, "Synchro Summon!"

A more powerful version of Black-Winged Dragon emerges from the Synchro Summon.

"Soar to dominance, Level 10, Black-Winged Assault Dragon!" KickinChicken shouted,

Black-Winged Assault Dragon was Synchro Summoned in Attack Position with 3200 ATK Points.

"Good luck taking down my dragon, Simon!" KickinChicken said with a smile,

Simon smirked.

"If you say so." He said,

"Let's hope Kickin's dragon is enough." DandyDragon said to herself, "From the record, each time Simon activates a monster's effect, Black-Winged Assault Dragon gains a Feather Counter and deals 700 points of damage to Simon everytime."

"Let's battle!" KickinChicken said as the Battle Phase started, "Black-Winged Assault Dragon, attack Simon directly! Darkened Black Feathered Whirlwind!"

Black-Winged Assault Dragon roared as it was about to attack. Simon stands his ground.

"Gotcha!" He said, "I activate one of my Traps, let's go with Eldlixir Of Scarlet Sanguine!"

Eldlixir Of Scarlet Sanguine was activated.

"What the?!" KickinChicken said,

"Oh crap, I forgot about the Traps!" DandyDragon said, "Careful, Kickin!"

"Ok, what does that Trap Card of your's do?" KickinChicken asked Simon,

Simon chuckled a bit.

"Glad you asked!" He replied, "With Eldlixir Of Scarlet Sanguine, I can Special Summon a specific monster from my Deck or Graveyard if I don't control any Zombie monsters!"

"A Zombie deck, huh?"

"Yeah, but it's a very special one!"

Simon then raised up a card from his Deck and started to chant.

"Like Midas, everything he touches turns to gold, but this gold will infect the living!" He chanted, "Mindless zombies to do his bidding to bring forth a never-ending rule!" Unleash your greedy madness, Eldlich The Golden Lord!"

A giant undead wearing plates of gold armor was Special Summoned onto the field in Defense Position with 2800 DEF Points. It was Eldlich The Golden Lord.

"Holy shit." KickinChicken said, shocked,

"Well, what are you waiting for?" Simon asked him, "Attack him!"

KickinChicken clenched his fists.

"Fuck it, I always plan on attacking an opponent's monster Special Summoned during my Battle Phase anyways!" He said, "Take down Eldlich, Black-Winged Assault Dragon!"

"Wait, Kickin, bad idea!" DandyDragon said,

"Damn right it is!" Simon said, "I reveal another one of my face-down cards! This time it's a Continuous Trap, Guardian Of The Golden Land!"

Guardian Of The Golden Land was activated while Black-Winged Assault Dragon went for the attack on Eldlich.

"I can Special Summon this card as a Normal Monster and then, if I control Eldlich The Golden Lord, I can make the ATK Points of a face-up monster on the field be turned to 0!"

"What?!" KickinChicken shouted,

Guardian Of The Golden Land was Special Summoned onto the field as a Normal Monster in Defense Position with 2500 DEF Points and made Black-Winged Assault Dragon's ATK Points be turned to 0.

"Shit!" KickinChicken shouted,

Black-Winged Assault Dragon tried to attack Eldlich with its feathers, but Eldlich's red shell started to glow and attacked back, dealing 2800 points of damage to KickinChicken, draining his Life Points to 1200.

"Kickin, are you ok?!" DandyDragon shouted,

KickinChicken was on one knee after being weakened.

"Damn…" He said, "He really got me…"

Simon laughed a bit.

"Hell yeah, this is the power of gold, baby!" He said,

"You greedy son of a bitch!" KickinChicken said as he got up, "I'm not gonna let you take over this duel! And I'll prove it!"

KickinChicken then sets a card in his Spell and Trap Zone.

"I'll set this card and end my turn!" He said,

"Is that it?" Simon asked him, "Alright, suit yourself!"

Simon then draws to start Turn 3.

Turn 3

KickinChicken: 1200

Simon Smoke: 4000

Simon looked at the card he drew and smirked.

"Well, this duel will be over quickly." He said,

"I don't like the sound of that." KickinChicken said,

"I reveal another one of my face-down cards, another Continuous Trap, Conquistador Of The Golden Land!"

Conquistador Of The Golden Land was activated.

"Another Trap Card turned Normal Monster?" KickinChicken wondered,

"You bet your feathered ass it is!" Simon replied, "This time, I can destroy a face-up card on the field! So your Black-Winged Assault Dragon is gone!"

Conquistador Of The Golden Land was Special Summoned onto the field in Defense Position as a Normal Monster with 1800 DEF Points. Then, Eldlich used its aura to destroy Black-Winged Assault Dragon.

"I'm still standing!" KickinChicken said, confident as ever, "Come and get me!"

"I will!" Simon said as Eldlich The Golden Lord was switched to Attack Position with 2500 ATK Points, "Now that Eldlich is ready to fight, let's battle!"

The Battle Phase started again.

"Eldlich The Golden Lord will attack you directly and end this duel!" Simon shouted as he pointed at KickinChicken, "Golden Land's Curse!"

Eldlich The Golden Lord then used it's red shell on him to unleash a shockwave of golden magic at KickinChicken. KickinChicken smirked.

"I gotcha!" He said, "I activated my Trap Card, Magic Cylinder!"

Magic Cylinder was activated.

"Yeah, there we go!" DandyDragon said with glee,

"Attack me, I'll get back up and use Magic Cylinder to reflect your next attack back at you!" KickinChicken said, "So you take 2500 points of damage instead of me!"

"Pfft! Like hell I would!" Simon shouted, "I activate my Counter Trap!"

A Counter Trap was revealed on Simon's side of the field.

"Golden Land Forever!!" Simon shouted, "When you activate a Monster effect or a Spell or Trap while I control Eldlich The Golden Lord, I can tribute a Zombie monster I control to negate and destroy that card!"

"Oh shit!" KickinChicken shouted,

"Oh no!" DandyDragon shouted,

Magic Cylinder was negated and destroyed as Eldlich continued with his attack as it then hit KickinChicken.

"GAHHHH!!!" He shouted in pain as he was dealt 2500 points of damage, which was enough to drain his Life Points to 0, making Simon Smoke the winner of their duel together,

"Kickin!" DandyDragon shouted,

KickinChicken was on his knees, weakened from the finishing blow. DandyDragon went over to get him up. Simon was heard laughing a bit while his back was turned.

"You asshat!" KickinChicken said, "I'm gonna get you back, just wait!"

"Yeah, like I care." Simon said, "But be careful with what you wish for when you want to get my ass back."

Simon walked away and left the tournament.

"Fuck…" KickinChicken said like he was out of breath, "What the hell is wrong with him?"

"I… I don't know…" DandyDragon replied, "Let's leave, I think we need to find some answers… Where's your friends at?"

"I'll tell you where they're at. It's a long story about some of them…"

"I can listen to everything you're saying and believe you. And, uhh, thanks, for almost saving me back there."

"Oh, you're welcome."

DandyDragon got KickinChicken up and started to leave as well.

"By the way, how's your relationship with Hoppy?" She asked him,

"We're recovering pretty well." KickinChicken replied, "Thanks for asking."

Simon Smoke turned back to KickinChicken and DandyDragon leaving before he did and smirked menacingly.

"Be careful what you wish for, KickinChicken." He said, "You're gonna regret crossing paths with me."
