Cho's holiday has been odd to say the least, enjoyable yes, but very odd. It started with her stay at the Dursleys which was eye-opening to say the least. There, she learned more about the Muggle lifestyle, from learning about television to learning about how to operate a gas stove. It also allowed her to spend a ton of time with Harry which she enjoyed every second of, spending quite a bit of time cuddling and reading together. Another important achievement for her however, was learning Occlumency, something that Harry ensured happened after relentless amounts of practice and teaching. Through all the mind-splitting sessions, she finally mastered the skill and while she wasn't on Harry's level yet (god knows how many painful sessions Harry had to go through to achieve that), she was pretty apt at the art of Occlumency already.

After a month at the Dursleys, she moved back in with her family which went by as smoothly as it always did. An interesting element this time however, was that Cheng was about to attend Hogwarts as well. A very different person from Cho, Cheng was loud and fearless and not one to back down. Cho had already theorised that she would end up in Gryffindor unlike her. Thankfully for Cho however, a large majority of her friends and her boyfriend were in Gryffindor as well, putting her worries should Cheng be placed in Gryffindor to rest. In the house however, Cho could see the excitement and the eagerness in Cheng to finally enter Hogwarts, having seen her older sister leave the house for Hogwarts every September, which led to a build-up of excitement when it would finally be her turn. While Cho was worried about Cheng going to Hogwarts, fearing that she would encounter the same problems that Cho did, her loud and fearless nature meant that she would at least not get bullied around. Additionally, with one of the most powerful wizards dating her older sister, Cho doubts that many would try to bully her sister.

Cho however, spent quite a lot of time out of her home as well, making frequent trips to The Burrow and Grimmauld Place to spend her time with Harry and her other friends, at Grimmauld Place, she was welcomed as a family member already, Cho suspected that Sirius had already accepted her as Harry's future woman and see her more as a goddaughter-in-law than a girlfriend of Harry's. At The Burrow, Mrs Weasley was also rather welcoming to Cho though not as much as Sirius, for the rest of the Weasleys, Mr Weasley was always courteous and friendly towards her and almost everyone else. Fred and George while usually not at home, busy operating their shops, drop by from time to time for dinner, they were arguably Cho's favourite Weasleys, especially after the numerous times they had stood up for her and even got revenge for her against Malfoy. They would occasionally bring their girlfriends along as well who similarly, were friendly to Cho. Ginny had also become a relatively close friend of Cho as well ever since her outburst the year before, with Ginny now dating Dean as well, Cho felt that she had largely moved on from her crush on Harry, accepting that Harry was Cho's already. Last but not least however, are Bill and Fleur. While Bill was similarly not at home often, coming home only after work at night where he would spend most of his time with Fleur, Fleur was at home throughout the day, occasionally, she would leave for Hogwarts for some admin work, but more often than not, she was at The Burrow, and she did not seem happy. Cho had observed throughout the past two weeks Fleur's demeanour and status in The Burrow and she could immediately tell that Fleur had issues with the female Weasleys in the house. Cho watched as both sides went back and forth indirectly, throwing subtle jabs at each other. When Cho first saw this happening, Cho did not understand the situation, even though Cho knew little about Fleur, with most of her opinions about her being negative due to her arrogant display of pride during the early stages of the Triwizard Tournament. Her opinions about her however, quickly changed after the second task where she for the first time ever, saw Fleur's vulnerable side when she thought that she failed her sister. That quickly told Cho quite a bit about what she needed to know about Fleur, that while she was arrogant on the outside and filled with immense pride, she could actually be caring and kind towards those she cared about. Her treatment towards Harry afterwards also painted a vivid picture as she softened up towards Harry, treating him better and while she did not go all out and be his friend, she could tell that Fleur genuinely cared for Harry at the end. It was to her surprise then when she saw the animosity between Mrs Weasley and Fleur especially after seeing how Fleur treated and talked to Bill which was genuinely heartwarming.

However, that was when she remembered how Mrs Weasley treated her when she first started dating Harry, how despite her not being outright rude or mean towards Cho, did not show the same warmth she showed to Harry or Hermione. And this is even though Harry was not her child, just a kid she saw and treated like her own while Bill on the other hand, was her oldest child. To add even more fuel to the fire, Fleur wasn't exactly one to back down and was feisty, often getting on the nerves of others when they argued about matters which she had strong opinions for. Cho could visibly see the effect this had on Fleur as well, with her mood often turning sour when in proximity with the female Weasleys and returning to normal when they leave. Cho could also visibly see and hear the disdain for Fleur in Ginny as she started calling Fleur 'Phelgm', a nickname which Cho frowned upon, she however, could not do anything to change their treatment of Fleur.

Returning to The Burrow for another routine day of spending time with Harry while helping out in the house, Cho quickly greeted Mrs Weasley after she exited the fireplace.

"Where is Harry?" Cho asked Mrs Weasley.

"Oh he isn't here yet," Mrs Weasley replied, a slight frown on her face, "probably a hold-up at Grimmauld Place."

"Alright," Cho responded, "do you need help with anything?"

"Oh nothing dear," Mrs Weasley beamed back, "but that's really kind of you."

"Are you sure?" Cho asked, "I have time to spare since Harry isn't here."

"Well," Mrs Weasley responded after some hesitation, "if you really want to help, Fleur is in the attic cleaning it up, you can help her if you want."

"I'll do it," Cho replied firmly.

"Thank you very much dear," Mrs Weasley replied, before continuing with what she was sewing before.

Heading up the attic, Cho greeted Hermione and Ginny who were in an intense discussion, not wanting to intrude on their privacy, Cho quickly made her exit and finally made it up to the attic. In the attic however, Cho could hear hushed murmurs of angry French, something that Cho felt that she didn't need any translation to understand.

"Fleur?" Cho called out, leading to the French woman yelping in surprise.

"Cho," she heaved a sigh of relief, "you scared me, what are you doing here?"

"Here to help you," Cho replied before making her way to Fleur, helping her with her attempt at cleaning up the dusty and dirty attic.

"Oh that's very kind of you," Fleur replied before continuing her work.

"What were you complaining about earlier?" Cho asked.

"Oh it was nothing," Fleur answered dismissively.

"It was about the female Weasleys wasn't it?"

Upon revealing what she knew, an uncomfortable silence followed until Fleur finally sighed.

"It is," she replied.

"I don't blame you," Cho admitted, "they have been pretty rude to you."

"Exactly," Fleur said angrily, "they have been bitches."

"They have," Cho replied, "but Fleur, they are not the only ones to be blamed, you have been tough to accept at times as well."

"It's only because they have not treated me with respect," Fleur said haughtily, "why should I show them respect when they don't show me a shred."

"Because you are in their household and trying to earn their approval," Cho replied, "you might be right Fleur, but being right isn't always the best option to choose."

"Well, they would not accept me regardless so why would I even try," Fleur protested.

"Because you love Bill," Cho responded, "think about this Fleur, you intend to marry Mrs Weasley's oldest child and Ginny's oldest brother, obviously they will be protective over him."

"Well, I don't see that with Fred and George's girlfriends," Fleur countered, "she treats them like how she treats you or Hermione."

"That's because Fred and George both knew their respective girlfriends for so many years before dating," Cho explained, "Mrs Weasley already knew that Angelina and Alicia were good friends and good teammates before they started dating, Ginny literally trained together with them, obviously they would accept them easier, and just for the record, she did not treat me this warmly at the start."

Fleur, who originally looked like she was just going to try and rebut Cho's point, suddenly stopped and looked at Cho curiously after hearing the end of her sentence.

"She did not treat you well as well?" Fleur questioned.

"She didn't," Cho admitted, "Harry is like a son to her and she probably thought that I was with him for the money or fame."

"She did?

"Mhm, remember the Skeeter's article as well?" Cho reminded Fleur who nodded, "She read it and while I don't think that she believed it, it probably left a bad impression of me to her."

"But she treats you really nicely now?" Fleur said confusedly.

"That's because she has warmed up to me and accepted that I truly wanted to be with Harry and that I loved him," Cho said, "Ginny also didn't like me at first but we got into a huge fight about whether I belonged with Harry and that changed her mind, Mrs Weasley also overheard it and I reckon it changed hers as well."

"What did you say?" Fleur asked curiously, fully invested.

"I just explained how much I loved him," Cho shrugged, "I explained why I deserved to be with him and laid the cold hard facts to her which woke both of them up."

"How do I do that then?" Fleur questioned.

"You can't," Cho replied, "Harry's situation is unique in the way that it made it a lot easier for me to show it, for you on the other hand, you need to take it slow, continue to show that you love Bill with your heart and most importantly, stop antagonising them in your mind, they are going to be your future family, stop hating them despite how shit they treat you, show them that you tolerate them and their way of life, I know it's hard, trust me I know, but in their eyes, you are the foreigner who is intruding in their space."

Silence followed again as Fleur did not speak, absorbing the reality of her situation. It continued for a while as Cho allowed Fleur to process her thoughts and emotions as they worked in silence.

"Do you think that they struggle to accept me because I'm a Veela," Fleur suddenly said, breaking the silence.

"I do," Cho replied miserably.

"It's tough being a Veela you know?" Fleur sighed, "You become nothing more than eye candy for men and something to hate for women."

"I've thought about it," Cho admitted, "how unfair it would be, I wasn't really jealous of you during the Triwizard Tournament but I could've sworn that almost every single girl in the school was."

"Not only in your school," Fleur sighed, "even back at Beauxbatons, I had almost no friends, a few were at least friendly but I couldn't make friends with anyone, the guys would either fall in love and try something stupid and the girls would just end up hating me."

"Is that why you came to Britain to work?" Cho asked, "To hopefully be treated differently."

"To a certain I guess," Fleur admitted, "it's definitely the reason I worked at Gringotts, Goblins don't care about looks."

"At least you found Bill then," Cho said, "he wasn't affected by the allure?"

"He wasn't entirely unaffected," Fleur giggled softly, "but he had more restrain than other guys, he could hold conversations with me without ending up staring at my face or my body, it was refreshing to be honest, you don't come across many guys like him, actual gentlemen with self-control."

"That's why you fell for him right?"

"Mhm," Fleur replied, "I'm lucky to have found someone like him so soon, my mum only met my dad when she was in her late 30s, I only hope that Gabrielle would have the same luck."

"How has she been at school?" Cho asked.

"She's been alright," Fleur replied, "her allure isn't strong enough at the moment to attract too many eyes, but I fear it's growing stronger by the month."

"At least Harry's invention can help her," Cho replied.

"It can, but that's the temporary solution," Fleur admitted, "she isn't going to build lasting friendships or find love if the moment she takes off the amulet, all hell breaks loose."

"I've never thought of that," Cho admitted, "that's… tough, choosing whether to use it."

"Indeed," Fleur replied, "my situation is a lot more straightforward but for her, well, it is up to her I guess, she seems to be adamant on avoiding using it as much as possible but as she grows, I fear that that mindset will have to change."

"Being a Veela is really tough," Cho said, something that Fleur nodded to.

"Do you know why some people are immune to the allure while others aren't?" Fleur suddenly asked, to which Cho shook her head.

"There are a few reasons, the first and the easiest solution to resisting the allure is Occlumency, an Occlumens can resist the allure, I'm not too sure about the science behind the magic but it's been the main solution to resisting Veelas, in countries like Bulgaria where Veelas are more common, Ministry officials are required to master Occlumency to avoid any complications when dealing with Veelas, another method which would work as well is self control and boundaries, for example, someone like Charlie would not be affected by my allure as I'm Bill's finance, with sufficient amounts of self control, he would become immune to the allure because of the boundaries set by me and Bill, last but not least however," Fleur said, "is when someone is truly in love, a Veela cannot sway or attract males who have truly fallen deeply in love with a woman and dedicated himself to her, that's why someone like Mr Weasley would not be affected by my allure, that's why Harry is also immune to it, because he truly loves you."

It was now Cho's turn to be silent as she did not expect the bombshell being dropped on her, Cho knew that Harry truly loved her but for it to be proven by magic like that, it was something new, as if it was telling her that their love was sealed.

"I have been observing this ever since the first task," Fleur revealed, "all the champions were largely immune to my allure, I presume Cedric was immune because of how much of a gentleman he was, the amount of self control it must have taken him to resist my allure would have been immense, Krum was too focus on competing and being from Bulgaria, he likely had encounters with Veelas before and have some sort of training and experience with how to resist the allure, Harry however, being a fourth year, was largely able to resist, he wasn't immune, definitely not, there were moments where I could feel my allure affect him but he was oddly able to resist it, I attributed it to him possibly being way more mature than his age and a lot more capable of self control but after the Yule Ball, I realised that his resistance became stronger and by the second task, he was essentially resisting my allure already, when I gave him the peck, some guys would automatically crack and be left in a daze but not him which was really surprising, and now, he is completely immune, even when I try to focus my allure on him to test, it completely does not affect hiim at all, because he is completely in love with you."

"Wow…" Cho muttered.

"He is a really good man and you are also an excellent woman Cho," Fleur continued, "that is the reason I'm sharing this with you in the first place, the fact that you came up to be to reassure me and guide me, that is rare for a woman to do to someone like me, you are a really good woman Cho and you two are made for each other, even a blind man can see it, cherish him Cho, never let him get away."

"I won't."
