Kurose rubbed at his eyes, still tired. He didn't appreciate being woken up this early. Especially not when he could have slept in a bit more.

Eorna still seemed to be full of energy, and he wasn't sure how she did it.

Sera seemed happier than he had seen since they had left the capital, yet before he could ask why, Sera spoke up.

"Did you sleep well Kurose?" The former knight asked.

"Hm? It was alright, I guess. You?" Kurose responded with a shrug.

"Yep, I slept fine! A little bit sore, but it's all good!"

"What's got you so happy Sera?" Eorna asked, jumping into the conversation.

"Oh, is it that obvious?" Sera asked her, getting a nod in response.

"Well, it's just that I finally learnt how to use my spear a bit better. I was just kinda swinging it around before, right?" He asked them.

Kurose thought back on Sera using his spear and nodded his head. He had been swinging it around, and ended up smacking monsters with the pole of his previous spear more often than stabbing them with the tip.

"Well, some of the knights Matthias introduced me to ran me through a couple of drills for the last day and a bit, and taught me the basics. They said that once I'm good enough with them, they'll move me onto other stuff. They also talked about teaching me to use other weapons in the future too."

"Huh, but I thought you said you had a little bit of training with the spear?" Eorna asked him with a frown.

"Well…" Sera nervously rubbed the back of his head. "It may have been more self taught stuff? A majority of the castle guards are taught to use a sword over anything else, with only the elite guards being trained in other weapons." He explained.

"Then why were you carrying a spear on you the day we left, and not a sword?" Kurose couldn't help but ask.

Sera stumbled over his words for a moment, holding a nervous look on his face before finally speaking up.

"Well, I saw a spear no one had claimed. It didn't look like anybody was going to use it either, so I just… took it for myself, you know?"

"...So you stole a spear." Kurose said with a sigh.

"No! I intended to return it. Eventually." He spoke, realising just how bad it seemed.

"Well, a bit hard to now, isn't it?" Eorna said playfully. "But it's fine. As long as you are actually putting in the effort, it's all good, right?"

"Exactly!" Sera spoke with a grin.

Before the conversation could continue, the door opened, revealing both Matthias and Tommy.

"Oh great. You're all here. Ready to go to the mountain soon? Got a spot saved there. Should get a few decent forms there. It's just gonna be you three, me and Tommy for the day, but I probably won't get involved in any of the fights unless you get in over your heads."

"Yeah, I'm good to go!" Eorna spoke with a grin. "Kurose, Sera?"

"I'm fine." Came Sera's response, whilst Kurose simply nodded.

"Right, just gimme a few minutes. Gotta get some stuff in motion before we come back." He explained.

Kurose nodded, and focused instead on his weapon form. He had enhanced it before actually attempting to go to sleep yesterday, although not fully due to a lack of energy to use. He hadn't actually seen how much better it was

Maybe if he had focused all the energy on Masterwork he would have been able to do it? Likely not though. Kurose shook his head. Compared to Masterwork, Item enchantment took only a small portion of the energy, especially for the lower levels.

He had also given it a few of the gems that Matthias had gotten for the three of them, mainly the Sapphires to focus more on magic.

Even only strengthening it to about halfway had boosted it far above the Amphelisk Parasol, which was pretty good thanks to all the enhancements he had done on it.

Kurose let out a yawn, and simply waited for Matthias to portal them to the mountains. Thankfully, it didn't take Matthias long, and soon enough they were at the foot of the mountain.

Matthias spoke once everyone had gotten their bearings, with a majority of the group still not used to travelling via the transport weapons..

"Right everyone. Few things to mention. Tommy, you already know this, but for everyone else, don't split up. I can probably find you if you get lost, but I don't want to have to put in that effort, and I'm sure you don't want the embarrassment of having to admit you are lost, alright?"

The trio nodded in understanding. It wasn't likely they would split off from Matthias, but they nodded all the same.

"Great. Second thing is that everything here should be within your level to fight, especially with all methods. Our main goals are as follows. One, level you all up quickly. The second, getting a ton of new weapon forms for you. Whether that be from monsters, or materials you find laying around. Absorb it all, got it?"

Kurose and Eorna nodded once more in understanding. They weren't sure how much luck they would have with new weapon forms, considering they had absorbed a variety of random materials back in Ortensca, but it wouldn't hurt to try.

"Final thing is energy. Convert anything you don't care about, whether that be monster remains, mob drops, random stuff you find laying around, any of it into energy. Feibyn doesn't need any of this stuff, and even if she does, it's a quick trip for me to drag a ton of stuff back home, so don't feel like you need to get anything for her, alright?"

Seeing that they all understood, Matthias smiled, waving his hand. "Well, off you go then. I'll be right behind you, so don't worry."

It didn't take the group of five long to find their first set of monsters. They looked similar to what wolves did in Kurose's world, with the only difference being small, stone spikes jutting from the top of their necks.

Eorna and Sera moved in front of Kurose almost immediately, whilst Tommy moved closer to Kurose's side, ready to engage the group of monsters.

One of them let out a snarl before launching forward towards Sera. Sera stood his ground, and his hand closed around the midpoint of his spear. He thrust forward, aiming at the head of the monster, but it dodged to the side, and Sera caught its leg instead before quickly pulling the spear back.

Kurose shot out a Thread Trap from behind Sera to tangle up the wolf, and Sera once again jabbed the spear forward, killing the monster.

He had noticed that Sera's' way of fighting had changed. Before, he had just swung the spear around blindly, attempting to slash at the monsters they were fighting, whilst keeping the head of the spear as close to him as possible. When he was doing that, Kurose honestly thought the man would have been better off using a sword.

With how he was using it now though, it seemed as if the short time with the knights Matthias had introduced him to had actually been worthwhile after all. Kurose was glad that Sera seemed much more confident.

Eorna was having a much easier time than Sera was at least. She was dodging around the wolves without any issues thanks to her using the Charme that Kurose had made her. It was pretty amazing that just a basic Charme could give that much of a boost with Magic Reinforcement.

He shook his head, instead focusing on the second monster Eorna was fighting. He pointed the Charme in his hand towards it before speaking.

"Piercing Ray: Mega V"

The spell shot off, once again surprising Kurose with both its speed and strength. It shot straight through the wolf monster, and it slumped down as Eorna finished off the other.

"Good job!" She spoke cheerfully, before helping Sera fight off a few more of them.

Kurose had to blink a couple of times before grinning. He knew it was going to be stronger, as evidenced from using the spell yesterday, but just knowing it was enough to take out one of the wolves made him feel great.

He turned to Tommy, to see what he was up to. The kid was holding a string, and tying it around a Charme before throwing it towards a monster.

"Frozen Spike: Mega"

As it did before, the Charme exploded in a white light, but this time it was further away from Tommy, leaving him free of injuries.

Kurose had thought that had been the intention, but a quick look at Tommy showed a frustrated look on his face. That was what clued him in on the fact that he had intended for the Charme to do what it was actually made to do.

The four participants of the fight finished up quickly, and Kurose took the opportunity to ask Tommy what the string he had tied around the Charme was.

"Oh, it's called Mana string." Tommy answered, frowning at the charred remains of the Charme. "I can push my Mana through it to anything it's attached to. Helps keep me out of the radius of my Charmes." He said the final part with a weak smile, and Kurose couldn't help but feel bad.

He didn't know exactly what to say, and it was clear Tommy didn't want to speak of it anymore, so he silently nodded his head, and moved over to Eorna, quickly helping her take apart the monsters.

Kurose let out a cheer that was followed quickly by Eorna, though they both stopped to look at each other for a moment.

"New skill?" Kurose asked her, getting a nod in response.

"Yup! Second Slash for me, what about you?"

"Second Scarf." He responded. "Definitely going to be helpful."

He equipped the new weapon form, wanting it unlocked as soon as possible before speaking again.

"What other things are around here?" He asked, directing the question to Matthias.

The older hero thought it over for a moment before answering.

"Well, there's Farkas, like you have just seen. Much, much further up, closer to the peaks are Fangyuts. You could all probably win, but you would probably take unneeded injuries which we can't afford, with the wave tomorrow. As for the other stuff, there's some Jiralyks, Giant Millipedes and Centipedes. Not sure if we will find any of them though, might be burrowing instead…"

Kurose nodded his head at that. He wasn't exactly sure what a Jiralyk was, but he would likely find out soon, if they were to stay on the mountain for a bit.

"Let's go hunt down some more monsters then, I suppose."

Kurose dodged to the side as the frog looking monster's tongue swung towards him, pointing his finger at it as he did.

"Horn Strike!"

The skill formed a copy of the horn from the Odontotyrannos, and shot off towards the frog looking monster.

Its eyes widened, and one of its three tongues retracted from whoever it was attacking at the moment, either in an attempt to defend itself, or from surprise. Why it did it didn't matter however, as the skill struck its tongue, severing it before disappearing.

Sera, who appeared from where the tongue had retracted, thrust the spear into the monster's side, and it let out a weak croak, focusing fully on Sera.

Its two remaining tongues retracted for a moment before shooting out once again, and Sera found himself looking up at the sky. One of the tongues had been used to knock him over by slamming directly into his chest, whilst the other had wrapped around him, intent on dragging him closer.

Before Sera could be dragged along the ground by the monster, Kurose used Feather Volley. It was another skill he had unlocked from the wave, and a pretty decent one at that. It shot out a handful of feathers towards the target at high speeds,

The feathers hit the frog's already injured side, and the experience notification, as well as Sera not being dragged along the floor anymore, showed that it had been taken care of.

Kurose turned to look at Eorna now that the monsters they were facing were dead. She was dodging around the attacks of the frog like monsters, a smile on her face as she did so. When she couldn't dodge their attacks, she cut through their tongues.

"Gale Slash!" Eorna slashed at one of the monsters that was attacking her from a distance, and it let out a croak of surprise as the wind based skill hit against it.

Kurose couldn't stop himself smiling at the sight of Eorna cutting her way through all of it, and he spoke up once Eorna had finished up with her lot of monsters.

"Good job!" He directed towards her, copying what she had done earlier.

Eorna turned, giving him a thumbs up before crouching down and taking apart the frog monster. Kurose found himself doing the same, and let out a sigh.

They had been on the mountains for a while now, with Matthias saying they wouldn't be out for much longer, but Eorna had been the one to push for them to stay for a bit longer. They had not found any of the Giant Millipedes or Centipedes yet, and Matthias had agreed after some moments.

It had been an hour since that, and they still had not found any of them, and Eorna had reluctantly agreed that it was time to head back once they were done.

It was a shame to miss out on some weapon forms, but Kurose had more than enough to unlock right now. As it was, he had only unlocked the weapon forms that either gave him significant boosts, or the ones that gave him skills.

The frog, which Kurose had found out was the Jiralyk that Matthias had mentioned earlier, had some interesting equip effects, but none of them were useful at the moment. The only other useful thing he had gotten from them was Second Ring.

Was he just going to slowly get Second for every Erst skill? If so, he wasn't going to complain, They were pretty useful after all. Especially so now that he could use Exchange

They had made good progress for the day, at least in Kurose's mind. He and Eorna were both level 41, though he felt that she was still slightly ahead of him experience wise, whilst Sera was at level 40. He felt much more prepared for the wave the next day, not only because he was a higher level, but because he had much more options to choose from in a fight now. It also helped that he had two extra methods to strengthen him, as well as finally having some sort of magic to use for his final method.

He stood up, ready to head back to the base of the mountain, but something in the corner of his vision grabbed his attention.

Whilst everyone else was distracted, Kurose moved towards the area he had seen whatever it was, and a quick scan of the area revealed what he had seen. Partially sticking out of the ground was an egg. It looked as if it had been uncovered by something, but they hadn't done anything to it, oddly enough.

The colouring of it was a slightly off white, but it was larger than any sort of egg Kurose had seen in his world. He debated leaving the egg there, but he already knew what he was going to do.

He crouched down and picked it up. It was soft to touch, with a sort of leathery texture, and Kurose frowned. He wasn't sure eggs were supposed to be like that, but then again. He was in another world.

He gently lifted it up, and Eorna spoke from behind him.

"What you got there?" She asked from over his shoulder.

"Well, I assume its a egg of some kind.." Kurose answered her.

"An egg?" She asked in confusion.

"An egg." Kurose confirmed, not understanding her confusion. "How do you feel about adding whatever this is to our party?"

Eorna thought it over for a moment before shrugging.

"Well… We do need more party members. It's just you, me and Sera right now, so I'm fine with it." She agreed easily. "I have always wanted a pet." She added on.

"Hey, what are you two deciding on now?" Sera asked from behind them.

"New party member, whenever this hatches." Kurose spoke, showing the egg to Sera.

"Huh. Odd egg. I thought most of them had hard outer shells." He commented, poking the egg as he did.

Kurose shrugged, but batted the man's finger away. That's what he had thought too, but he guessed there were some monsters or animals that didn't.

"Never seen an egg around here before. Then again, I wasn't really focused on looking for them." Matthias admitted as he took a look. "If you want it as a party member, feel free to, but you are going to need to get a Crest on the egg, as well as an incubator for it. Oh and look after it yourselves, all that stuff."

"Can we do that in the city?" He asked, getting a nod.

"Don't even need to go into the city. We can call them up to the castle. Saves us some effort." Matthias pointed out.

"Sounds good to me." Kurose held the egg carefully, smiling as he did. "Let's get going then."

With that said, the group of five left the mountain behind.

Once they were back in the castle, Matthias sent Tommy on his way, as well as getting a servant to go down into the city to get a monster tamer to help register the egg to Kurose. Sera also disappeared, stating that he wanted to get some more training in before the wave,

"Is there a reason we aren't going ourselves?" Kurose asked him once he had sent a servant off to find a monster tamer.

It was something he meant to ask on the mountain, but he had gotten distracted.

"Not really, but it gives me the chance to talk to you about a couple of things. Tomorrow morning, we're gonna be meeting up with soldiers and all that, and taking them to the wave with us."

"Eh? How are we supposed to transport them all then? Do we just invite everyone into our party, then leave once we get summoned?" Eorna asked him in confusion.

"No?" Now it was Matthias' turn to be confused. "Didn't you add people to your formation for the wave in Ortensca?"

"No?" "Not as far as I'm aware?" Came the responses from Eorna and Kurose respectively.

"Then how did you manage to get people there?"

"We were already there, and the wave happened on top of us." Kurose explained. "The people there just got onto it immediately."

"Huh. I guess that you were pretty lucky then…" He spoke with a shake of his head. "Regardless, tomorrow morning, before the wave, you two will be registering people into your formations and they will be coming with us to the wave, got it?"

Kurose nodded in understanding. If he was being honest, he probably should have read his menu better, but he had relied on Eorna to fill him in on all the information. Not that he was trying to shift the blame to her.

He took a quick look at his menu, just to make sure he understood it, and noticed the formations section there. There was also the section saying that heroes could share methods between each other, and he let out a sigh.

He really shouldn't have assumed he had read it all properly when he was half asleep.

"Anyways, not really much else to do. I should probably mention that by the time the wave finishes tomorrow, there is going to be a meeting. Namely all the nobles and all that will be coming. No doubt they are going to want to meet you two at some point, but it's your decision at the end of the day on whether you want to go." Matthias spoke.

"If you dont wanna see them, then you can just head out for a bit. But if you do, just know it's probably going to get annoying, with a few of the nobles trying to entice you to go to their lands and all that."

"I mean, I'm fine with going, provided I'm not too tired after the wave. It probably won't be that different from my first day in Ortensca at least."

"Huh, that's true." Eorna agreed. "Probably less of a celebration I imagine."

"Yep. It's just gonna be a meeting. Probably pretty boring, going over the wave, concerns any of them have, and so on. so forth." Matthias confirmed, before seeming to realise something. "Ah, damn Matthew is going to be there. Don't even have Presca to act as a barrier between me and him…"

Matthias let out a sigh. Kurose wasn't exactly sure who Matthew or Presca was, but before he could ask about them, a servant appeared before them.

"Your Majesty, Heroes." The servant spoke politely, bowing to Kurose and Eorna before turning to Matthias once more. "The person you requested is waiting at the entrance."

"Fantastic. Lets go get a crest applied to your egg then." Matthias spoke with a grin. He thanked the servant before dismissing them, and the group headed down to the entrance.

The entire process didn't take long, with Kurose only having to press a Charme against the egg. Once that was done, the egg was registered to him, and he was presented with an incubator for the egg after paying him the required amount.

When Kurose had asked about whether he knew what the egg was, all he got was a shrug in response.

"Well, my boss sent me out because he was busy helping some other people out, and I'm not exactly the best at telling what monster laid what egg." He explained with a nervous laugh. "But the egg at least looks to be in perfect condition. Just uh… keep it in the incubator, and it should hatch in… what looks to be a couple days?"

Kurose wasn't exactly sure about the mans capabilities, but Matthias seemed satisfied with it. As such, he didn't push for anything else, simply nodding his head. With that, the man was shown out, and Matthias turned to the two of them to begin speaking, only to pause.

Both Kurose and Eorna were staring at the egg in concentration, and Matthias let out a sigh.

"It's fine…" He mumbled to himself. "I can ask them about the wave in the morning. Don't need it immediately anyways…" He spoke with a sigh.

"Anything you wanna ask about before I leave? Want to sort out a couple things before tomorrow." He asked, finally grabbing their attention.

"Huh? Oh, yeah actually." Kurose spoke with a nod, turning towards the man. "Who are Presca and Matthew? You mentioned them before the guy got here, and I'm curious."

Matthias stared at him for a moment before sighing. "Well, best find ourselves somewhere comfortable to sit. Bit of a long story, guess I wont be getting a few other things done today. Eorna, are you coming along, or are you fine?"

"I'll come along." She answered with a nod.

Matthias did nothing to acknowledge that except for a small nod. He led them through the castle, and back to the room they had held their meeting. Kurose and Eorna moved to take their seats, as Matthias did the same.

"Well then. You remember those paintings from when I first brought you lot here?" He asked, getting a nod from Eorna.

It took Kurose a moment longer to remember, but he eventually nodded. "The ones with your father and his children, right?" He asked, just to make sure.

"Those exact ones. There was me in the centre, and six other paintings surrounding that one, yeah? The two beside me were Presca and Matthew, my elder sister and brother respectively."

"Older?" Kurose asked, getting a nod from Matthias.

"Yep. I'm actually the third oldest of all my siblings. The two above ours were our younger brother and sister, Solen and Peneryl They…" He trailed off, his fingers tapping against the table before speaking once more. "They aren't here with us anymore. The last two, the two paintings below us, are my younger brothers, Samson and Roland."

"What happened to them? Solen and Peneryl, that is." Eorna asked him slowly.

Matthias remained silent for a moment, seeming to look past the two before sighing. "I'm… aware of what happened to them, but I really don't like thinking about it. All you need to know is that they died in a… accident, yeah, let's put it that way." He spoke, shaking his head.

"My brother, Matthew, ran around with his guards, looking for any lead on how or why the accident happened. He used every resource he had available to him, as well as my fathers assistance, but he never found anything."

"How did you find out then?" Kurose asked him with a frown. He hoped Matthias didn't have any sort of involvement in it, but if it was an accident like he said, then it could be possible.

Matthias studied Kurose for a moment, and something must have shown in his face as Matthias leaned back.

"You think I had something to do with it, don't you?" He asked the Accessory Hero.

Kurose did not respond for a moment, and Eorna looked at him in confusion until Kurose lowered his head.

"I'm not thinking that exactly, but I don't think you had any involvement, hopefully." He answered.

Matthias let out another sign before sitting back up. "Well, can't let there be any doubt between us heroes, so guess I'll have to tell you. Just promise me you wont tell Presca or Matthias, should you find yourself in their company."

"Why not? Haven't you told them already?" Eorna asked, sounding confused.

"No. Presca, she already suspects something was off about their deaths, but never managed to gather up enough information, and Matthew… He was hurt by their deaths, and involving some stuff I'm going to tell you two, he made some," Matthias thought about it for a moment before seeming to settle on something. "He made some decisions, to say the least. And if he found out now, I think it would only hurt him more."

He looked at the both of them, and they both nodded their heads, showing they agreed to what he was saying.

"Well, you know about the civil war here, right?"

Eorna nodded her head once more, and Kurose supposed it made sense for her. She had been born in this world after all.

"All I know is that you mentioned something about a Civil war, but nothing else." He admitted.

"Ah, right. Suppose you wouldn't have had much time to focus on that. Well, quick rundown of it then. Father named me heir to the throne a few months before his death, quite a few nobles did not take kindly to it, and neither did my younger brothers, Samson or Roland."

"So, what? They started a war because they weren't happy you were king?" Kurose asked with a frown.

"Yep. They promised the nobles who sided with them quite a few things they had been wanting for a while. Once my father had died, we barely even got a chance to bury him before the two, plus their group were calling for my head. Wouldn't have even let me relinquish my control of the throne" He spoke with a bitter laugh. "Only thing you need to know is that both Presca and Matthew were on my side. Presca was more than fine allowing me to be king, told me it was 'More trouble than it's worth, and you've always been good at getting out of trouble', whilst Matthew stopped caring for the throne after Solen and Peneryl passed."

Matthias shook his head with a sigh, whilst Kurose and Eorna stayed silent, letting the man continue at his own pace. It took a few more moments before Matthias spoke again.

"Well, there's not much you need to know about the war itself, so time speed up a bit. I had been chosen by the Jewelry Tools, we were winning, and I went to confront my younger brothers with the intent to get them to give up and end the war. I pleaded with them, gave them the facts, but they didn't pay attention to me. Hell, Roland was looking at my hammer more than he was looking at me. They were angry, and Roland spoke. I'm not sure if he meant to, but even Samson looked surprised by what he said."

"Roland said he was the one who killed them, didn't he?" Kurose spoke quietly, but Matthias still heard him.

He gave the Accessory hero a small, sad smile, but nodded his head. "Yep. Know what his damned reason was? Said it was because father looked upon them with more care! As if the man didn't care for all of us equally!"

Matthias shook his head once more, his hand wiping against his eyes as he looked down for a moment.

"Even after hearing that, I thought it was some kind of joke, you know? A sick, twisted joke, but still a joke nonetheless. Hell, I'm not even sure if Samson knew it was a joke by that point, but he had always followed Roland, doing whatever he asked, so when they both charged at me…" He trailed off, but the implication of what had occurred after was clear.

No one spoke for a moment, with Matthias sitting there quietly, whilst Eorna and Kurose digested what he had said.

"The decision that your brother made, was it because of what happened to them two? You don't have to say it, if you don't want to." He wanted to make it clear that the elder hero didn't have to answer.

Matthias shrugged at that, seeming resigned to answering already.

"If you're alone with Matthew at some point, then you're going to find out eventually." He answered with a sigh. "As I said, he didn't exactly deal well with Solen and Peneryl, though his way of coping with it was by keeping a closer eye on his still alive family. Constant check ups, talking to us whenever he had the chance, that sort of stuff. It was overbearing at times, I can't deny, but it was his way of coping, so I didn't question it. So you can likely only imagine how he felt when I returned without the two of them."

"He blamed you, didn't he." It was less of a question, but more of a statement that came from Eorna.

"Yeah. And I still do take some of that blame. I could have tried harder, maybe pulled my hits a little, but I was tired. It took a lot out of me, the war. Marissa was pregnant, I was scared Tommy would be born into the war, but selfishly, I was tired. Tired of the lives lost, tired of fighting, tired of everything. So i didn't."

Kurose and Eorna remained silent at that, unsure of what to say about it.

"You two, enjoy the rest of your day yeah? I'll… I'll see you in the morning, yeah?" With that said, Matthias stood up.

Kurose wanted to reach out a hand, feeling like it wasn't a good idea for Matthias to be on his own, but he couldn't speak.

How could he even attempt to comfort the man? He hadn't gone through anything like that, he was an only child. He had never done what Matthias had to, and he hoped that he wouldn't have to.

Matthias walked out, with neither him or Eorna saying anything.

After that, the rest of the day passed fairly quickly. Both Eorna and Kurose relaxed to the best of their abilities, with Kurose taking the time to try and learn some more of the language whilst Eorna tried making guesses as to what could be in the egg.

"Maybe it's a spider? Do spiders lay eggs?" She suggested and Kurose let out a groan.

"I hope not." Kurose stated, whilst Eorna looked at him. "I mean, I would care for it obviously, but it would still creep me out." He added.

"Well, what do you want it to be then?" Eorna questioned him, tilting her head.

Kurose went to answer, but paused.

"I'm…not sure." He admitted slowly. "I mean, I would happily take whatever it hatches into, whether it's a Giant Owl, one of those frog monsters, or even a Spinling. What would be really cool would be a dragon, but…"

He saw the look Eorna was giving him, and shook his head. "I'm aware of what people here think of them, and considering how rare they seem to be? I can't imagine this is a dragon egg."

Eorna nodded her head at that. "Why would you want it to be a dragon anyways?"

"Simple. Because they are cool. Granted, most of my information on them is from fictional stories, so they might be a lot more different in person."

She seemed to accept that before going back to look at the egg, as if she could figure it out by simply looking at it.

Kurose, deciding he wasn't going to get much more done by just reading the book, put it down and decided he would sort out his Amulet. They had gotten plenty of materials for energy, so it wasn't an issue to fully Masterwork it.

Odontotyrannos Amulet (Masterwork) 30/30

(Abilities Unlocked) Equip Bonus: Attack +6, Skill; "Horn Strike"

Equip Effect: Horn Leech, Pierce Resistance (Medium)

Item Enchantment Lvl 4: Aerial Monster Damage 8% Up

Masterworking the weapon form had increased the Lapidary slots by ten, and it had enhanced the Pierce resistance. The only downside was that he wasn't willing to push any further on the enchantment, considering how many times he had failed last time with the Amphelisk parasol.

Despite his issues with pushing for a higher enchantment level, the amulet was still by far his best weapon form.

It made him much more confident for the wave tomorrow, yet there was the thought that something might go wrong during the wave. He knew that he shouldn't be feeling like that, but he just couldn't help it.

"Hey Eorna?" He asked, grabbing his friend's attention. "Do you think we are on track to beat the wave tomorrow?"

"Absolutely." She answered with a nod. "We have all our methods, we levelled up a bit more, got plenty of new skills, I don't see how it can go wrong! Why are you asking though?"

Kurose tapped his fingers against the now laid down book.

"I'm not sure. It just feels like somethings gonna go wrong tomorrow. I'm just not sure what." He admitted to her. "It makes me feel like an idiot. I know we are better prepared than the last wave, but still…"

"Nah, it doesn't make you an idiot. You're concerned, it's fine. How about this then? We'll stick together during the wave, and then once it's done, we'll…" She trailed off, and Kurose could only assume she hadn't thought that far ahead.

"We'll do something!" She spoke cheerfully, earning a smile from Kurose.

"Sounds good to me." Kurose responded with a nod of his head.

With that, the two settled into a comfortable silence for the rest of the day
