The next morning after a restful sleep we all convened in the throne room. I sat with Ugin while other dragons appeared to give reports on the goings on in other worlds. It seemed that everywhere there was a bit of chaos. That was not natural. It was enough to trouble Bahamut who told the other dragons to keep a sharp eye out for anything that was off it did not matter what it was.

I asked Ugin, "do you think things were okay back on Tarkir?"

"I think so, Sarkhan, and the dragons can handle just about anything, so things should be okay right now," Ugin answered quietly. I nodded, but kept my thoughts about missing home to myself. Though Ugin knew them, and said into my thoughts, "I do too little one, I do too." That made me feel a little better.

Suddenly the meetings were interrupted by a purple light erupting in the middle of the room, and a woman with long black hair, pale skin, and black eyes appeared. She was clad in black robes and had many rings, and bracelets along her arms. Her black eyes focused on me, and her look was terrifying. I turned away grabbing onto Ugin, who had also noticed her looking at me, and was protecting me.

"Greetings dragons I came to negotiate," the woman in black stated flatly.

"What is it you want?" Bahamut asked, his sapphire eyes glaring at her.

"Oh nothing much. Just that girl there. You see, I need her for a very special reason."

"And what would that be?" Ugin asked in an angry voice.

"Simple, we want her to sing a song to bring about the end of everything as my master desires."

"And your master is?" Bahamut asked, now standing up.

"Oh, you know him, he is none other than your brother Felizor. He needs more death to gain more power."

Bahamut roared a sound so loud that I had to bury my face in Ugin's chest to not go temporarily deaf.

Ugin, and Bahamut spoke as one.

"Not on your life!" They shouted,

"Oh, that is a shame that you will not work with me, but no matter, I was prepared for this negotiation to fail so I will just take her by force."

She reached into her robe, and pulled a black crystal from it now moving quickly then she said my name "Serenity."

Suddenly I felt like I was falling. I tried to look, but saw nothing, just darkness.

"Ugin!" I cried, "where are you?" But there was nothing, just darkness and silence.

After a horrid moment, I landed on the ground in a dark chamber. I tried to get to my feet but my cane was gone. So I crawled to the altar to try to stand. I stood up slowly, and held onto the altar to look around.

I could not see much because it was so dark, but I knew that I was alone, and that Ugin was nowhere nearby. I was terrified. When I suddenly felt Ugins heartbeat close to me. I reached down to the pendant that I wore around my neck. Ugin had given it to me not long after we had first met. It had always been with me, and now I could feel him through it. I felt reassured just by having the pendant near. I held the pendant tightly.

"Thank you Ugin," I said softly. "I will get back to you somehow. I promise that I will not give up."

A moment later that woman appeared

"Ah so you make it I see."

I did not answer, just glared at her.

"I see your defiance. I will wipe that glare off of your face," and she came toward me.

When that woman took Serenity with that item I roared my rage, anger, and pain. I had failed her again. I slammed by fist to the ground.

"No! This is not happening." Bahamut spoke to me trying to calm me.

"Ugin we will find her." I took a breath "how?"

Then I remembered the pendant that I had given her, and pressed my hand close to my heart

"Sera. I hope that you can still feel me," I thought.

I then told Bahamut about the pendant that she wore, and of how it was a piece of my essence that I had given her. Bahamut nodded,

"Perhaps we can use that to find her. Come let's go to the scrying pool ,and find your daughter." I nodded and followed.
