*The day was a sunny one on planet Veldin as a young female dog-like lombax was tip toeing around the garage. She motions for a blue and white foxlike dog to follow her and he slides next to his master. She squats down next to him.*
Raiden: Alright Dagger. This is it. Ready?
Dagger: Ready Raid. You sneak up on the left, I'll draw their attention on the right.
Raiden: And stay quiet...
Dagger: I'm always quiet.
*Dagger rushes to the other side of the garage and peeks his head around the corner. He sees two cat-like lombaxes standing with their backs turned in front of an apple. He grabs a paint can and throws it. The lombaxes jump and rush over to Dagger's position and he runs off. Raiden quietly tip toes to the apple and grabs it.*
Raiden: Finally.
*Begins to tip toe back to her original position*
Ratchet: Well, well, what do you think you're doing?
*Raiden exclaims in fright and a Wroggi and a Baggi jump from a tree nearby and tackle Raiden, licking her and gently patting her with their claws.*
Raiden: *laughing* Poisondog...Devilhorn...get off me...that tickles! Swordtail! Help!
*An Izuchi comes running to his master and pounces on the other two. A Tobi-Kadachi also comes leaping out of the garage and nudges Raiden's back. The two cat-like lombaxes come out to see the commotion; the white one was holding Dagger.*
Kyzil: Well, well, well...look who we got here.
Dagger: They caught me...
Raiden: Should've been quiet.
Dagger: I was!
Jericho: *chuckles* You ok, sis?
Raiden: Yeah, I'm fine...but you won't be...
*A low growl comes from the garage and a large white dragon walks out. The Wroggi and Baggi all back off with their heads down. Kyzil and Jericho both turn around, both looking frightened.*
Jericho: Oh...hey...Ice Blister.
*The dragon growls and Dagger smirks and jumps out of Kyzil's hands*
Dagger: Haha! Have fun with that boys! Come on Raid, let's go!
*Dagger runs toward the dunes but is blocked off by a Malenzo and an Astalos*
Dagger: *screams* Raid look out!
Jericho: 8 against 4.
Raiden: I like those odds. *pulls out a small bone and tosses it to the two creatures who start to fight over it*
Kyzil: Oh come on!
Raiden: So, since I already have the apple, does that end the game or...
Ratchet: *chuckles* Playing capture the apple again?
Raiden: It's stealth practice.
Ratchet: *eyes the animals play fighting* Not a lot of stealth going on.
Raiden: Practice makes perfect. Right boys?
Jericho: Yep.
Kyzil: You bet.
Raiden: If we're going to be awesome Galactic Rangers someday, we're going to need to practice our stealth and we need a lot of it...*smiles at her pets*
*Rivet walks out with Ray, Gamma, Clank and Kit*
Rivet: What's all the fuss?
Ratchet: The kids are playing Capture the Apple.
Rivet: Did you win?
Raiden: Yep. *Tosses the apple in the air and catches it*
Rivet: That's my girl! *The two-fist bump*
Kyzil: Come on mom...we caught Dagger this time.
Rivet: Well that's not surprising.
*Dagger growls and glances at the ground*
Ray: Don't worry Dagger.
Gamma: Next time, I'm sure you'll be able to avoid them.
Dagger: Thanks. *Glares at Raiden*
Clank: Maybe you should have been more quiet.
Kit: Like Raiden said, stealth is always key.
Raiden: Alright gang, for our next training, let's have...a race.
Kyzil: Count me out. I'm never racing against Ice Blister again.
Jericho: Scared you'll lose?
Kyzil: No! He always tries to hit me with his tail.
Raiden: Aww, Ice Blister would never do that. You just fly to close to him. It's not his fault.
*Ice Blister nuzzles his young master as she caresses his muzzle, both making puppy dog eyes at the others*
*Devilhorn and Poisondog both make mocking chirps and growls, looking annoyed*
Ratchet: Actually, we have a surprise for you guys.
Raiden: *Gasps* Did you finally finish building the Electro Mag Boots?
Jericho: Did you find a new species of animal on the Plateau?
Kyzil: Did you find a new planet?
Rivet: No. We're going to planet Kerwan, Aleero City...
Ratchet: And you guys know what's there...
Raiden: Yeah, the hall of heroes but why are we...*gasps* Did you...
Ratchet: Yep, we finally got Quark to allow you guys to take the Ranger Tryouts!
Raiden: YES! *Jumps around excitedly. Dagger, Tobi, Swordtail, and Ice Blister dance around too*
*Jericho, Kyzil, and the others smile and shake their heads*
Jericho: How did you...
Rivet: It took a little convincing but he let on.
Kyzil: I can't believe it...we're really...
Raiden: YAY! BEST DAY EVER!
Ray: When do we leave?
Clank: As soon as Ratchet gets done with those boots.
Gamma: Oh, I love it when Raiden looks happy.
Kit: I still say this is dangerous but Raiden has been wanting this since she was little.
Ratchet: She'll be fine! I wasn't much older than her when I first did the tryouts.
